Todd opened the door, stepped in, and closed it. Then he stopped and stared. Standing in the front hall were three figures. Jo spoke up. "Basically. Don't worry though, we don't mind. We're used to it. Heck, I was starting to enjoy it by the time Lord Hezekiah got sick."
All three looked kind of saddened at the mention of his great-uncle's demise, but then Star perked up. "But, since you're here, and can command Madeline, you're our NEW owner!"
The other two grinned. Todd was still intrigued. "'Lord Hezekiah'?"
"That's what he wanted to be called," explained Madeline. "What would you like to be? 'Master'? 'Sir'? 'Boss'?"

"Whatever he wanted," explained Star "We cooked, cleaned..."

This was followed by another wave of questions. "What kind of Indian, from India or America? Why are they sleeping in the basement? How do I wake 'em up?"

She's of the American variety, and they're sleeping because when Lord Hezekiah took possession of the house, he said eleven ghostly servants was a bit much. So eight of us went to sleep. A lot of owners do that, for some reason. Not all, but a lot. Oh, and you can wake them by simply commanding it. Just say 'Hey, ghosts in the basement, wake up!', or something like that."
Todd nodded, and did so. Almost immediately, eight more ghosts rose up through the floor. All were female, and all were gorgeous, but they were otherwise different, being of different races, ages, body-types, and eras.
