This is a second-person female POV story with a focus on themes and elements of infidelity / cheating, sexual discoveries and awakenings, dubious and / or ambiguous consent, sexual humiliation, non-consensual sex, and soft 'bad ends.'
The story is about a young eighteen year-old woman named Jessica Gardner, a recently-enrolled student at a small liberal arts school. Jessica is away from home for the first time at her first semester of college. She and Robert Shy, her high-school sweetheart who she's been dating for several years, have decided to try maintaining a long-distance relationship until he can save up enough money to move from their hometown across state to where Jessica is in school.
Jessica is finding herself drawing more and more attention from young men around campus, more than she'd ever attracted back home. She's a bit unaware of her own attractiveness, and tends to underestimate the level of interest men are showing in her. Jessica is also somewhat naive, especially when it comes to sex and romance, and has a lot of trouble with assertiveness. She hates direct conflict, and can be pretty easily pressured into doing things as long as the one doing the persuading is persistent and unyielding.
Jessica is also on the cusp of a sexual awakening of sorts. She and Robert have never had sex beyond some making out and over-the-shirt heavy petting. Jessica is starting to regret not doing it when she had the chance, as she finds herself unconsciously starting to check guys out around campus. Still, she's one-hundred-percent committed to staying a virgin until her boyfriend moves up to join her... or at least she says she is. We'll see!
There are several paths which this story can / will take. By and large Jessica should not remain faithful to Robert over the course of the story. Whether she's seduced and betrays him intentionally, is taken advantage of at a party after a few too many drinks, bullied into bed by a football player, or worse, Jessica will end up cheating.
Whether that leads to a good ending or a bad ending depends on the circumstances. If she's voluntarily seduced and goes to bed with a nice guy who she ends up dating instead of Robert, that's a good outcome. If she gives in to pressure and goes to bed with a sleazebag who ends up using her and telling everyone about it, and the guilt drives her to confess to Robert, that's a bad outcome.

No one said it would be easy.
In fact, just about everyone said the opposite. They said you both were crazy, that it would never work, that it was a recipe for disaster, that it would be better to just call it quits before one of you ended up hurting the other.
You're beginning to think they might have been right.
It was your idea in the first place, maintaining a long-distance relationship with your highschool sweetheart. Always eager to avoid conflict, you simply kicked the can down the road. That was in early February, right after your eighteenth birthday. You'd just received your acceptance letter to Whitelake College, a neat little private liberal arts school upstate - about 400 miles upstate to be exact. Robert put on a brave face and tried his best to be happy for you, but you could tell he was devastated. He'd been trying to convince you to stay in town and go to the community college with him while he worked on his music, but the allure of Whitelake and it's nationally-recognized film school was simply too strong. You had to go.
But you and Robert could still be together, right? He was a cute guy, in that dorky Chess Club way of his, and sweet too. You really didn't want to let him go. You'd always sort of assumed you and Robert would always be together. Of course you never told him about it, but you'd daydream about your future as Mrs. Shy, what your kids would look like, what sort of house you'd live in. The future you would build together.
And yet here you are, eight months later, in your third phone argument with Robert this week.
You want to make it work, you really do, but maybe your friends were right. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all.
