The Love Boat (the original crew) The Untold Voyage by Caleb Jones The First Day -- A prologue to the strangest Love Boat cruise ever. It was the beginning of a typical voyage. The Princess Of The Line had just left L.A. and the crew and passengers were heading for Panama. Little did they know that at the bottom of the ocean up ahead was a strange little meteor fragment. Julie, the entertainment officer, had just directed a man who bore a remarkable resemblance to actor Lyle Waggoner towards the promenade deck. She expected to have a date with him by nightfall. Doc came up the stairway from his offices. He talked to her about a blonde bombshell he was treating for minor seasickness. She looked a lot like Dallas TV star Audrey Landers, though her name was Jeannie. Doc had invited her to the captains table that night for dinner. He had to get a date for her sister, though. Jeanie had described her as pretty with a nice personality, but shy around boys. Doc figured this meant she was a bit unattractive though he had no intention of telling that to Gopher, the ship's purser. Doc figured Gopher would be needing a date since he was a bit less knowledgeable about women. Doc was trying hard to teach him some charm but the lessons seldom seemed to rub off on Gopher. Meanwhile Captain Stubbing was in his office going over reports. His daughter came in and asked him if she could invite a boy she had met to dinner that night. She was just fourteen and had never done more than kiss a boy. She hoped Todd would be more aggressive with her. He even looked like Scott Baio, her favorite T.V star. Todd's mother was an attractive woman with more than a surface resemblance to Adrienne Barbeau from T.V.'s Maude series. She walked over to check up on her son and wound up invited along with Todd to the Captains table at dinner that night. Scene One That night everyone gathered for dinner. A lucky few get to sit with the Captain and his extended family handpicked from the crew. Tonight's guests included Captain Stubbing and Vicky, Todd and his mother Pam, Doc and Jeannie, and Gopher and Jeannie's sister Boom Boom, who had surprised Doc by turning out to be a knockout as well. Also present was Julie. She had sent the man she liked one of the rotating guest invitations she passed out to various people during the crew so many could get to sit and eat with the captain. His name was Tim. Asst. Capt. Webster later determined that the ocean water somehow acted as a conductor and the ship as a large attractor of the energies of the meteor. The large chandelier above the captain's table served as a focal point for the energy traveling through the ship. Although a few others were affected around the ship, most of the energy was directed through the captain and his guests. Suddenly, they were no longer the people they were used to being. Scene Two Isaac the bartender walked up to the captain's table. He was a little late. Everyone was acting strange. The Captain was crying. "Captain Stubbing, what's wrong. What's going on ?"
