The short walk back to her seat seemed to take an eternity. She tried her best to avoid eye-contact but it was so hard. Their first class carriage held nearly all males and most wore business suits. At thirty-two she could probably afford a decent holiday if she had charged a pound for every dinner invite she had had over the years.

‘Why?’

‘Long story. Just delete them please.’
“Okay, come for a coffee with me. The buffet car is two carriages down from your rear.’

‘How will you know that I have deleted them?’
She realised just how stupid her thinking was.
‘You will want to see me delete them in front of you, won’t you? I could say they are gone and still keep them otherwise.’
Julia hesitated as she looked at John. He was still fast asleep.
‘Okay.’
Quietly she slid out of her seat and left the carriage. Moments later she sat down at a vacant table away from anyone else. She was expecting someone sleazy; a middle aged, overweight male with a face coated with leer but she was pleasantly surprised. He was tall; dark haired, slim and well dressed with an air of authority. She guessed him to be late thirties, early forties. He called a waitress over and asked Julia what she wanted to drink. “Cappuccino please,” she responded.
“Same again,” he told the waitress before holding out his hand. “My name’s Charles,” he told her with an educated accent.
“Julia,” she responded as she limply took his hand.
He opened up his iPad and found the two thumbnail pictures of her. Selecting them he turned over the iPad to her. “Just press delete,” he said.
She did. “Thank you,” she told him.
He smiled. “I thought it was all too good to be true.”
She smiled back. “I am sorry but I really did think that I was chatting to my husband.”
He looked puzzled and she found herself explaining herself to him. “Well it’s good to see a young couple like you so in love and having fun,” he told her. “Annette and I are the same.”
“Wouldn’t she be angry that you have been exchanging intimate pictures of yourself with another woman?” she responded. “If that was John I’d kill him.”
He laughed. “Annette and I have an open marriage and we sometimes entertain together as well,” he confessed as he opened up his iPad again.
He showed her a picture of a very beautiful, well dressed brunette. She didn’t seem much older than herself. He then opened up another photo. “And this is her with her American lover.”
Julia gasped. Annette was naked and holding hands with a very handsome, naked, muscular black male. He had an erection of unbelievable size. “Bloody hell!”
He smiled. “She’s somewhere above us just now,” he told her looking up, “Flying back from Miami after a two week holiday with him.”
She looked at him in disbelief.
“It’s true,” he told her.

“Of course,” he answered. “I get very jealous but I also find it very exciting too. I have girlfriends too. As I say we have an open marriage. We live life to the full.”
Julia sipped her coffee. She had only come down to London with John to accompany him on a business meeting. Her mind had been filled with the excitement of window shopping in Oxford Street, maybe picking up a bargain or two, before treating herself to lunch. She just had not bargained for all this.
“I take it that you and John don’t swing then?”
She shook her head. “I couldn’t entertain the thought of him with another woman.”
“But you could see yourself with another man?”
Julia shook her head. “I didn’t mean it that way.”
“You are only human Julia,” he told her. “A beautiful woman like you must get lots of offers and some must tempt you. A quickie here, a good shag there. No involvement; no drama. Just a satisfying fuck.”
She smiled.
“I’m right aren’t I?”
She laughed. “My mum always says that just because you’re on a diet it doesn’t mean to say that you can’t look at a menu and dream.”
He laughed. “Very true.”
She sipped some more coffee. “You could always go unicorn, you know.”

“Join a couple as a single person. It is surprisingly quite popular these days for either a single girl or married woman to join a couple for some no-strings fun.”
“I... I couldn’t do anything like that,” she told him avoiding eye contact.
“Maybe not now, Julia,” he said leaning closer and speaking quietly. “Sitting here with a stranger discussing it like this but tonight when you get home; lying in bed next to your sleeping husband, you might. Imagining yourself with a couple: no John; no one else knowing or ever finding out. A whole night of sexual enjoyment. You could do something like that couldn’t you Julia?”
Her eyes remained lowered and fixed upon her coffee cup. Charles reached into his jacket pocket and took out his wallet. Moments later a business card was slipped inside her iPad folder. “Do either of you go away overnight on business trips?”
“I don’t but John sometimes does,” she replied looking up at him.
He gave her a smile that was beginning to weaken her. “I can’t,” was all she could say.
“Of course you can’t Julia but you want to though, don’t you?”
She got up to leave. “Re-send me your photo please Julia.”
She looked at him.
