THE SHOPPING TRIP
I started cross-dressing when I was 6 years old. Until
then, I had never even thought about wearing girl's clothes
or being made to wear them. But due to things beyond my
control, at that age I had no choice but accept my fate.
My name is Mark - well, it used to be; now it's Julie,
which is the name my parents thought to give me I was born
a girl. I had two sisters - Melissa aged 8 and Mary aged
10. I wish I had had an older brother to play with, and
then maybe none of this would have happened.
I was watching cartoons when my mom came in and told me
that she was taking the girls clothes shopping. She said
that she had no one who could watch me, so I had to go
with them. I knew this would be an all day trip with my
mom and two sisters - girls live in clothes stores!
Now I know your thinking I am a male chauvinistic pig, but
that's not true. Think what you want.
Anyway it was a cold fall day and we all got our coats and
went out to the car. It was an hour drive to the mall and
I was getting bored already while my sister were giggling
and talking about all the pretty clothes they were going
to get. Yuck! What a way to spend a Saturday! When we got
to the mall, the girls jumped out car ready to run into
the stores, but Mom made them wait for her and me as mom
helped me out the car, slowly. I and my younger sister had
to hold Mom's hand as we made our way in.
Mom headed straight to a store a new store that just
opened up. It was called "Little Princess". 'What will my
friends think if they saw me going into store like this
with my mom and sisters?' I thought.
Before I knew it, I was being dragged into the store to a
rack of little girls' dresses. I just stood and waited
while mom held several dresses up to my sisters to see how
they would look in them.
I could not take it anymore and said, "Just buy the damn
thing already." I should have kept my big mouth shut.
Mom started telling me, "You think it's so easy for girls
to pick out clothes, do you?" I just bowed my head then she
said, "There's a lot of things girls have think of when
buying a dress. Do think you could just pick out a dress
and be done with it?"
I said nothing.
"Maybe I should put you in dresses so you learn what girls
and women have to go though to look good. You think your
sisters like spending the day in the store when they could
be playing with their friends? And what about me? I have
better things to do than spend all day in stores."
Everybody in the store was staring as mom laid on me. Then
she got this look in her eyes and starting whispering
something to my sisters. I knew I was in trouble and tried
to back away but mom stopped me and picked a dress of the
rack and held it up to saying, "You would look so cute in
a dress like this!"
I was red faced.
Just then a saleslady came up to my mom and asked if she
needed help.
'Help with what?' I wondered.
Then Mom spoke and said, "My son would like try on this
dress."
The whole store giggled. The lady then took my hand as Mom
Followed us back to the dressing rooms. Once the lady
checked that no one was in any stalls, Mom took me and the
dress into a room.
As Mom started taking my clothes off I began to kick and
scream. Mom said that if I was gonna act like baby she
would dress me like a baby. I began to settle down when
she said that. Soon I had my hands above my head and mom
slid the dress down over me, buttoned it up back and tied
the sash in big bow in back.
"It fits well," she said. I was then allowed to change
back into my own clothes. I hoped it all over.
By the time we left the mall my mom had several little
girl dresses, tights, ankle socks, shoes, sweaters, slips
and petticoats. I thought all this was for my sisters. Boy
was I wrong, but I didn't know it at the time!
When we got home, Mom took the bags to my sisters' room.
When she was done there she came to my room with several
bags from the same store, opened my closet and took out
all my boys clothes. Then she went to the dresser and took
all those clothes out as well. I started to get really
scared. Then she started unpacking all the stuff in the
bags - I saw tons of dresses, shoes, panties, and tights.
After everything was put away she told me that starting
the next day I would be wearing dresses until she said
otherwise.
My fate was sealed. 'How long would this last? What
would Dad say? How would my friends react? What about
school?' I had so many questions, but no answers.
I spent the rest of the day in my room until supper time. At
the table, no one said a word about today, but Dad was giving
me some strange looks and Mom was smiling at me. I went to
my room right after dinner and on my bed was one my little
sister night gowns. I just stood in silence. Then Mom came
and said to undress, and I did. She gave me a pair of blue
panties and slipped the night gown over my head, then
buttoned the back by the neck. I got into bed.
She kissed me good-night and said, "You're gonna look so
precious tomorrow!" What's a six-year-old boy to do?
The next day mom woke me up a little before 8 am telling
me that it was time to get ready for church. It was a
nightmare come true, no wait it was a nightmare come true.
Going to my closet, she picked out a pick a pink dress and
a white petticoat and set them the bed. Then she went to
the dresser and got a pair of white tights and white
panties. After helping me out of the nightgown she took to
the bathroom and washed me all over. Then she put this
sweet smelling powder on me, making me smell like a girl.
Yuck! But it was only gonna get worse! She wrapping up in
a pink towel like she does my sister, took me back to my
room and began dressing me.
First came the panties. 'Boy these felt nice,' I thought,
but did not say anything. I just put up a fight. Then came
the tights - these made my legs itch. When I told Mom, she
said I would get used to it, all girls do. Being called a
girl made me fell kind of funny. I told Mom, and she said
that 'till she says so she will call me and treat me like
a girl.
Next came the petticoat, and then the dress. When that was
all buttoned up she put tied a ribbon in a big bow in my
hair, and then put the Mary-Jane shoes on me, and closed
the straps on the top. I felt like a sissy girl standing
there while mom fussed with my dress and told me what a
pretty little girl I was. Then she sent me downstairs to
show Daddy his new daughter. As I walked into the front
room and stood in front of Dad he looked at me, smiled,
and told me how pretty I was. I protested, saying I was a
boy and boys are handsome, only girls are pretty.
He said, "You sure don't look like a boy, so I guess you're
a girl and a pretty one at that."
God I hated that.
A little while later, Mom and my sisters came down. Mom
put a white button down cardigan sweater on me, and one of
my sisters' old coats, and off we went to church. It was
awful - everyone laughed at me and told how cute and
pretty I was! All I could do was listen to them - there
was no way I could get these clothes off without help.
After church we went straight home, my sisters were allowed
to change but I had to stay dressed. Some of my friends
came over to see me, but just to make fun of me. I am not
sure if it was my mom's idea to humiliate me but she
seemed to be enjoying it just a little bit too much.
Since I had already started school, I was to return
dressed as a girl the next day. 'This will be the worst
day of life,' I thought.
Monday morning came all too quick. I was still tired
from not getting enough sleep that night, but Mom would
not relent and let me wear boys' clothes again. School was
as bad as I thought it would be, but at least I did not
have wear a frilly dress like I did to church. I only had
to dress in true little-girl fashion when we went to
church, or somewhere else special.
After I had been dressing as a girl for a few weeks, it
was starting to feel good. I was enjoying being fussed
over and hugged and kissed from Mom and Dad. And I learned
that Mom was right - girls had lots to consider when
dressing.
At one point, Mom mentioned that I was acting more and
more like a girl. When I said I was a girl, she got this
look, but said nothing. A few days later Mom said I could
wear my boys clothes again. I told her that I wasn't a
boy, that I was a girl now, and wanted to always wear
pretty dresses for the rest of my life. She then went to
took all my girls things away and put my boys stuff back.
Life was not the same. I cried every time I saw girls in a
pretty dresses.
It was not until a year later, after seeing a
psychologist, that I was diagnosed with G.I.D. (Gender
Indenty Disorder) and was allowed to return to being girl
with the support and love of my family. I guess I was
never really a boy to begin with, but a girl all along.
I love my new life and all my new friends. I learned that
good things can come from bad things, and that things
always have a way of working out in the end.
