"This has better not be some blind date." Ruby said as a car pulled up
to a building. "You know how I feel about those."
"You really need to dive into the dating pool, girlfriend," Lesley said
as she parked the car and lead her best friend into the store. "In this
case I didn't get you a date for a birthday present. This; however,
should help you get one."
"You brought me to a spa?" said Ruby. Ruby stood in a white tank top
and blue denim shorts next to her friend. Lesley was in a pink blouse
with pictures of cherries on it, red skirt and red strap sandals that
showed off her red toe polish. "You know how I hate places like this.
Can't we just spend a Sunday at the beach?"
"Since being made legal guardian of your cousin's kid, you're a mother
now." Lesley reminded her. "You now need all the help you can get to
attract a guy who wants to be part of a family."
"A really appreciate this, but." Ruby began when a woman in white and
with a clipboard came from the back area.
"This way please," she said. "If you'll strip and get on the table
provided we'll start with a nice massage."
"This is going to be wonderful." Lesley said, not noticing how Ruby was
looking at her breasts while taking her own top off. They got on the
table and a pair of women began to ease the tension from their

Only deep down in her heart, she knew she wasn't kidding.
While they remained naked, Ruby climbed into the mud bath while Lesley
enjoyed a relaxing sea weed wrap. "This is going to hit the spot. I can
feel all my calories leaving my body as we relax here."
"Stretch everyone." The yoga instructor later said Ruby felt like she
was going to be snapped in two when she finished with her animal named
stances.
"Do we have to get the works," Ruby sighed. Dressed only in the spa's
robes they had their legs and eyebrows waxed. Her only thoughts were:

"You look fabulous." The women who did her hair, finger and toe nails
said when done with them. "You'll have to beat the guys off with a
stick with looks like these."
"Great." Ruby sighed.
It was Sunday afternoon and Ruby was checking out the weekend flea
market with her friend Lesley. After the spa they had changed and spend
a few hours at the beach. When Lesley tried to set Ruby up with a
lifeguard, she decided to leave. Ruby had a pair of faded denim jeans
pulled up over her blue one piece bathing suit while Lesley had on a
yellow and pink strip bikini.
As Ruby walked away a woman from a jewelry booth waved her over. "Hello
there dear. Could I offer you some of my fine jewelry?"
"I'm not really into jewelry." Ruby said with a sigh.
"The name is Sandra." The woman said, introducing herself. Ruby thought
she looked cute in her semi transparent white blouse, black bikini,
black genie like pants and semi transparent black beach sandals for
wadding in shallow water. "Want to talk about what's bothering you?"
"You wouldn't understand?" Ruby said with a heavy sigh.
"Try me." Sandra said with a smile. "You might be surprise at what I
could understand."
"I've always felt like I never should have been born a girl." Ruby said
with a heavy sigh. "What makes matter worst is that I'm not ready to be
a mother."
"Boyfriend got you pregnant?" Sandra asked.
"No," Ruby replied. "I don't even like to date guys. The problem
besides my friend, Lesley, setting me up, is that my parents and
cousins died a few weeks ago in a car crash. I was babysitting my
cousin's daughter and now I'm her legal guardian. She's such a brain I
feel like the child around her."
"I think I know just what you need." Sandra said as she pulled a box
out from under the counter. "I understand more than you know. I knew I
never should have been born a guy and used this necklace to swap bodies
with a woman who wished she too was a born. We ended up getting married
and couldn't be happier."
"Like I believe in magic," said Ruby.

done red lips. She took the necklace from Sandra and slipped it in her
purse while seeing Sandra nod her approval. "How would you like to go
out tonight?"
"What?" Lesley said stunned. "Normally getting you on a date is like
pulling teeth."
"I have a feeling that tonight will be magical." Ruby said as she took
Paul by the arm and walked off together. "Nice talking with you,
Sandra."
"Whatever you said, seemed to made a new woman out of my friend."
Lesley smiled as he headed off on her own so they could be alone.
"Finally found someone worthy of the necklace did you?" A man in a tee,
shorts and sandals said as he walked over. "I think you'll look nice
together too."
"Yes master." Sandra smiled.
"I remember when you found me in that lamp and wished to be a girl."
The guy said as he gave Sandra a kiss. "Because of so many mean genies
getting back at nasty masters by turning them into whorish bimbos and

Borrowing the outfit that Sandra wore to the spa that morning, Ruby
looked pretty dashing on the dance floor. After a song finished, Ruby
sat down and took off her shoes one at a time. "Now I know why Sandra
doesn't wear socks when squeezing into these things. My feet are
killing me."
"I think you're just saying that so I can admire your feet." Paul said
as he cupped her foot in his hand and began to rub gently. "You have
wonderful taste in clothes."
"This isn't the real me actually." Ruby admitted. "Can we go back to my
place so we can talk? My niece, Cindy is spending the night at one of
her friends' houses."
"Remember when we were eight at the lake and we talked about switching
bodies?" Ruby asked as Paul helped her into the car and started
following her directions to her place.
"You're not asking if I'm gay or something, are you?" asked Paul. "I do
admit I wish I could have been born a girl, but it's not like surgery
would make me look as good as you do."
"Surgery won't, but magic will." Ruby said with a wide grin spread
across her face. "Wait until I tell you what my new friend from the
flea market gave me. As far as I'm concerned, we don't have anything to
lose.
"This is it," Ruby said as she unlocked the door to her apartment and
Paul followed her inside. The apartment was spacious and rather nice
for someone without a room mate. "I just want to get out of these
shoes."
"If this works, you'll soon be out of everything." Paul said as the two
of them headed for the bed room. Soon Ruby lay on her back and Paul was

After Ruby left, Paul went and took a shower. He walked around his new
place and got to know it inside and out. He put one of Ruby's bathrobes
on and began to dry his hair. An almost impossible task considering how
much hair he now had. He wrapped his hair in a turban shape towel and
sat on the sofa with his feet curled up so to admire the reflection of
himself and his pink toes in on the TV screen.
After he finished a program, he tried to go back to combing and drying
his hair. He then started the long process of doing his make up so that
he didn't look like as much as a slut as the hair dresser made Ruby the
day before. He proceed to put on a under wire bra and dark brown hose.
He went to the closet and chose a pink dress with a darker pink rose
print on it along with matching open toe pumps that would show off his
toe nails.
AS he pasted a mirror he giggled at the sight of how his butt wiggled a
bit while he walked. He did learn quickly why Ruby had her complaints
about how uncomfortable women shoes were. He made sure to take his
shoes off while driving to the address pinned on the fridge. He was
glad she left him information of who Ruby normally interacted with at
work by way of hearing his old voice on her tape recorder.
When he got to work he realized he needed to use the toilet. While
going he was glad he packed some sanitary towels in his purse, since he
was starting to spot. He was sure that by the next day, if not later
that day the cramps and other areas that would go with a period would
start. He smiled knowing that he was indeed a woman now.
"Hi, Jane," said Paul. He came out of the stall to see the eight month
pregnant woman checking her make up. "Is something wrong?"
"I have to move back in with my parents." Jane said. "My boyfriend left
me and I can't afford the rent and raising the baby on my own."
"Men!" muttered Paul. "If you need someone to cry on, I'm here to
talk."
"Thanks," Jane said. "I know I can always count on you."
When Paul got to Jane's apartment he entered and saw a note had been
slid under the door. "What's this?"
"I hope you're happy being me," Ruby said in her letter. "I met Tara
where you work and we hit it off right away. Since she's being
transferred I decided to move out of state with her and start life a
new. We might even get married. Take care of my little niece and have
fun.
P.S. If you can't handle my life, I left the necklace in the bedroom
for you to switch with some other woman if you wish."
"Niece?" thought Paul. "What have I gotten into by agreeing to this?"
"Something wrong, Ruby." A voice of a little kid in a red and white
cheer leading outfit said as she walked in from the guest bedroom. "You
did ask me to call you by your first name while I'm staying with you."
The two sat and Paul explained things to the woman. The brain child was
more than happy to swap bodies and become a twenty five year old adult
while Paul got to be a eleven year old girl who would have time to get
used to be female before having to spend the rest of his life in bras
and having periods.
