The Camera By Margaret Jeanette Jason Truax was unpacking his fishing equipment. He was just returning from a weeklong Canadian fishing trip. It had been a very successful trip. He did a curtsy and took the dishes to the sink. Julia told him he could join her in their meal. She set a salad in front of him. It didn't have any dressing on it. She had him do the dishes and put them away. Julia told him he better go to bed, as he would have a busy day tomorrow. He told her he was just getting some pajamas. She took him that there was a small chest of drawers in the laundry room just across from his new bedroom door. She told him he could do better but that would come with practice. They went and had an early afternoon lunch. Then she told him to clean the living room like he did the bedrooms. He went and got busy. As he was cleaning he thought about what he had done to end up in this situation. He tried to look at the positive things but the only thing he could see was that Toni wasn't divorcing him. Then he wondered if this wasn't a ploy to get him trained for something so she could then throw him out and divorce him. He finished the living room and it was time to start supper. When Toni got home she was eating supper when she asked, "Julia, do you think it is right to have a maid named Jason or should we pick a more appropriate name for him?" Julia picked up on it right away and said, "I have been thinking about that. How does Elizabeth sound?" Toni said, "It sounds OK but I was wondering if a name like Candy wouldn't fit him better?" I want you to know I forgive you. Both Sophia and Julia have told me some things I hadn't considered since all of this started. I have come to realize I love you also. I know I am just as guilty as you are of not saying I love you enough. If you want you can go change clothes now." He said, "Julia is sick and I will make you your supper. Then I'll change." She said, "What are you making for supper?" He told her a rib eye steak, potato and salad. She asked if he could make two and join her for supper. He told her yes and smiled broadly. He went out to make the meal. She sat there and felt the best she had for a long, long time. As they were eating he said, "You know, I think part of the problem is we don't do anything together anymore other than go out to eat when it's Julia's day off. I think we have to come up with something to do together. What do you think?" She agreed and suggested that tomorrow they go somewhere together. She said she didn't really have to go to work tomorrow, so where would he suggest they go. He suggested a zoo hundred miles away. She told him it sounded like fun. Suddenly she felt the same way as when they were just dating again. She felt very happy. After supper she went to Julia's room to see how she was doing. Julia told her she was feeling a bit better, and how Candy had brought her some soup for lunch. Toni told her it wasn't Candy anymore it was Jason again. Julia was very happy that they were together again as man and wife. Then Toni went to help him change. She helped him get his corset off. About half way there they had to slow down when the highway went through a small town. Suddenly Jason pulled over and parked. He had parked in front of a woman's clothing store. Toni went and tapped Julia on the shoulder and told her they were going to go for supper and return home. The young man said he would see that Julia got home that night. Julia asked Toni if that was all right. Toni told her it was and to have a good time. Jason and Toni then left, and stopped on the way home at a supper club to get something to eat. They enjoyed a leisurely meal and were just leaving when they met Julia and the young man just coming in. Julia told the young man she had to go to the bathroom. She asked Toni to accompany her. When they got into the bathroom Julia couldn't contain herself. "He seems so nice. He told me he is usually shy around girls and he doesn't know why but he isn't around me. He has a wonderful sense of humor and he said I am the prettiest girl he has seen in a long time. I feel so happy and safe with him. I don't know what it is." Toni told her, "It sounds to me it is a lot like love. Be careful, you just met him." The two left, and Toni went with Jason and Julia went with her escort. Toni told Jason about Julia as they proceeded home. They got home and were home an hour before Julia came in. She told them she had a date to go to the beach next Tuesday on her day off. She bubbled as she told them she had to get a bathing suit. She told them all about her day and how beautiful it was. She gave them profuse thanks for taking her along and getting her the new dress. She finally went to her room a very happy young lady. Jason and Toni agreed the day had been a beautiful experience and agreed that they had to do this more often. They were sitting on the couch cuddling, then adjourned to the bedroom. Neither one put on nightclothes as they got in bed. They made beautiful love and before they fell asleep in each other's arms they each thought to themselves how lucky they were to have each other. Now, dear reader you may think this is over. But there is more. Four months later Jason And Toni renewed their wedding vows. In attendance were Julia and her fiance. One of the best gifts they got was an intertwined heart in red stained glass with 'Jason' on one and 'Antoinette' on the other.
