nodded as if signaling me, but I didn't know what she wanted.

I twirled about, almost like a ballerina.

"Boys don't have figures, do they?"
"Well, it all depends on how you look at it, and you are lovely."
"Lovely?"
"Yes. You have to be able to accurately describe things to make the
most of them. Let's have a closer look."
"I don't understand."
"Well, those clothes aren't really telling me much about PATRICK, are
they? I want to see all of you."
"You want me to take my clothes off."
"Of course, silly child. Off with them!"
I had never taken off my clothes in front of a grown woman, and then
only my mother, and not even that in years. But with the instructions
to obey without question, I pulled off my shirt and pants.
"Those too," said Auntie Mame, pointing to my underwear. Once they were
gone, she walked around me slowly, then stooped to one knee and pulled
the cheeks of my fanny apart. "Hm, kind of small," she said.
She turned me around, took my peepee in her fingers and pulled it up to
look underneath. She laughed.
"REAL small," she said with a chuckle. "It won't get in the way at
all." She stepped back for another look. "No hair yet. That's good.
It'll be a lot easier to keep it from growing than to get rid of it."
I didn't understand, so I just stayed silent.
"You've been in the car all day. You probably want a bath."
"Yes ma'am, that would be nice."
She led me upstairs to a large, beautiful bathroom, where she began
running water into a large marble tub. She reached into the closet for
and pulled out a bottle that looked like a vase. On the front, it said
"J'Adore." She poured some of it into the water, and the water began to
bubble.
"What's that?"
"Just a nice bubble bath, and it'll make you smell fresh."
She sat there with me while I bathed, talking about what a lovely child
I was, and how many new things I'd be learning with her.
"Be sure to get your private area nice and clean," she said. "Yes,
there you go." She reached down and soaped up my peepee, which turned
hard and stiff.
"Goodness, you must like that!" she said with a laugh. "Okay, out.
Reach behind you and get your towel for me, will you sweetie?"
On the rack was a white fluffy towel with the name, "Patricia"
embroidered in pink script.
"Who's Patricia, Auntie Mame?"
"Why, I had that made for you. I just think Patricia sounds so much
prettier. You don't mind if I call you Patricia, do you?"
Obey, no matter what, I had been told.
"No, ma'am," I said, drying off. I noticed I still smelled like the
bubble bath.
"Good!" said Auntie Mame. "Now, would you reach into the closet and get
that other J'Adore bottle? It's a nice body lotion."
She began rubbing the lotion into my skin from top to bottom.
"Why are you putting stuff on me when I just washed off?" I asked.
Auntie Mame laughed.
"You have a lot to learn, sweetie. Ladies like to use it to keep our
skin soft, and it smells very pretty, don't you think? Since you're
living in a lady's house, you get to enjoy it too. You don't mind, do
you?"
As she asked that, she held up my stiff peepee, poured the lotion on it
and began to rub it up and down. "Do you mind?" she asked.
I couldn't answer, because all of a sudden I had a feeling I'd never
known all over my body. I couldn't even catch my breath. Suddenly,
Auntie Mame stopped.
"Well, we mustn't get carried away, Patricia!" she said, leading me
into a bedroom. "This is where you'll be living. Do you like it?"
She reached into the bureau drawer and pulled out some lacy panties. "I
think you'll like these a lot better than those other ones, don't you?

My stiffy had gone down partly, but still poked out. Auntie Mame
reached into the closet and pulled out a white dress with pink flowers.
Across the chest, "Patricia" was embroidered in the same script as the
towel.
"I had this made just for you. Let's see how it fits!" said Auntie
Mame.
"But Auntie Mame, I'm a boy."
"What did your mother tell you?"
"To do whatever you say."
"What I say is while you're here, you're Patricia. And you're going to
just love it. There are so many things a little girl can do that a boy
can't!"
She slid the dress over my head. It fit perfectly, with ruffles flaring
out at the bottom. She added white anklet socks and some white Mary
Jane shoes.
"Beautiful. We're going to have a summer like you've never had before,
Patricia. Let's go shopping for the rest of your clothes. Oops -- one
more thing!" On the bureau drawer was another J'Adore bottle, this one
perfume. She sprayed some on both sides of my neck, on my wrists, then
stepped back and sprayed one more time so that it drifted down over me.
"Goodness, you look and smell delicious. See? Little boys don't get to
wear nice clothes and perfume like we girls do, do they?"
"Well, let's go!" she said, taking me by the hand. "I have a pretty new
niece, and I want to start spoiling her."
