"Sorry missy, you need to be at least this tall to ride this ride..."
said the ride operator, pointing to sign that had 4'6" on it.
"But I am!" Jessa squeaked from her wheelchair. She had spoken out quite
a bit against being pushed around the entire fair, but her friends
insisted on helping her out. In the end, she was glad she had them to
help her, as the fair was a good bit bigger than she had last remembered,
3 years ago.
She struggled to get up, so she could stand, even if only for a minute.
She was doubly embarrassed, since she was barely 4'7", and worse, her
size was due to a condition she had which caused her body to not grow
right. She was always scoffing when Danny said she was beautiful, since
she knew she wasn't, at least not from what she saw in the mirror every
day.
"I'll be buggered, yer right... Hard to tell with you sittin down and
all. I'll let you and your boyfriend ride for free in apology." And the
tall man winked at her.
Jessa blushed deeply. "Um, he's not my boyfriend..." Quietly in her own
thoughts, she wasn't so sure... Danny was really sweet, and had always
been there for her, even after her dad had left when she was three, and
her mom had died in that plane crash five years ago. He had been only 13,
with a crush on her that had lasted for almost 4 years at that point, and
he had said he would always be there for her, no matter what it took. He
proved it that day, and countless others since.
They had gone on several "nights out" over the last year, even though
technically she was his younger sister, after he had convinced his
parents she was worth adopting. She could tell they didn't really want
her, but it had made their only son happy, so they allowed it. She knew
dating was out of the question, and as she was, she knew she would never
get work, no one would want her, and eventually he would move on to a
"less broken" girl, leaving her alone again.
That was part of the reason they had come here, to this crazy old little
carnival. It only had 5 rides, a few cheezy carnies running the usual
booths, and a few tents... But the memories here were immense. She and
her mom had come here so often, since it was cheap, and close to where
they had lived. She knew this was probably the last time she would get
out of the house, since Danny was moving away to college soon, a really
good college too, far away, on a scholarship he had earned, despite
spending hours a week helping her with her homework.
As she got into the rather ancient carriage that was one of only 6
remaining, she was fighting tears back. She had loved this ride, going up
so high, she and her mom had pretended they were in an airplane, which
her mom had always dreamed of flying, but never got the chance to. The
closest she got was being a flight attendant, after her unexpected
pregnancy grounded her schooling, and changed her priorities.
Danny quickly noticed the tears that slowly ran down his sister's face,
which he quickly wiped away... "What's wrong sweetie?"
"You know what's wrong... This is it for me. Mom and dad never really
wanted me, they took me in cause you liked me, but that's changing, and I
don't know what I'll do without you when you go off to college. I've also
seen how you look at that Stacy Parker. You love her, probably more than
you love me..."
"You know that's not true... You're my little sister, and I loved you
enough to push my parents to adopt you, when..." He knew her mom's death
was a hard subject to talk about, and his own parents were less than
happy when Jessa had started showing signs of her disability just 6
months later. She had just turned 13, and they were taking her to the
doctor to find out why she wasn't growing like she should have been. When
the doctor had given the bad news, she had burst into tears, and he had
comforted her, just like he was now...
As they rode around, going up and down in the ferris wheel, he just held
her, letting the tears work their way out. She had cried a lot recently,
and he understood why. He had prayed every night for almost 6 months for
an answer to their problem...
As they got off, the man chuckled. "At least I didn't have to pry you two
apart, like your friends... They asked me to tell you to go on ahead, so
they could spend some time 'alone', which is something I have no problem
doing... Young love is just so wonderful. It brings tears to my eyes to
have one last glimpse of it before the carnival closes..."
"The carnival is closing?!?" Jessa exclaimed.
"Aye, it just doesn't make any money like it used to, most of the shops
have gotten contracts with the big carnival that comes round here every
year, and are just waiting to ship out... The rides have pretty much had
it, and the circus left 2 years ago. This is the last week before we
close up and sell of to a wonderful retirement in 'Social Security'."
It was obvious the old man wasn't looking forward to that end of his
career. "I'm just glad my son got a job with a better group, what with
all the repair experience he got, keeping this old junk going so long..."
Danny helped Jessa back into the wheelchair and wheeled her off, leaving
the man to his memories. He was glad she had gotten one last bit of joy
from the old park. He was startled back to reality by Jessa. "Watch out
Danny!" He barely stopped them before they ran into a curious old door...
*Wait, an old door? on a tent? that makes no sense,* thought Danny.
"Wow, this is a weird tent..." was Jessa's remark. Danny chuckled,
thinking how at times, how innocent and child-like she could be.
Jessa managed to open the door, and scoot in before Danny could say
anything. "Hey, wait for me!"
"Ah, welcome Jessa, and nice to see you finally get here Danny..." said
the old man, with a twinkle of mischief in his eyes... Until he read them
a little deeper, and sighed...
"Uh, how did you know our names?" sputtered Danny.
"It's not all that hard, when you are a wizard such as I..."
The old man looked deep into Danny's eyes and saw a spark of something he
knew was rare and precious, true love. He knew exactly what in his store
would suit them perfectly, and trusted that his friends would see it
through...
"Young man, I do believe I have something that might help you, but you
would be sacrificing a lot to do so..." And he held out a delicate, yet
ornately inscribed locket, with two hearts linked together, one larger
than the other. "This is something I made myself to test out a theory. I
call it M?res Cadeaux, and it offers you a solution to the problem on
your mind."
"I'll take it..."
The old man pulled it back. "I must warn you, BOTH of you must be willing
to sacrifice greatly, so that you both may be rewarded for your selfless
love. And it doesn't come cheap... Two hundred dollars is what it will
cost you to have this blessing bestowed upon you." He knew neither of
them had that much, but between them, they had just enough to buy it.
Fitting, since they would both be affected by its magic.
"Uh thats a lot for a silly little locket..." Danny got out.
"Aww, I only have 60 dollars..." moaned Jessa.
Danny chuckled as he realized that he had just enough to help Jessa get
the locket.
"Here, let me help you buy it Jessa," Danny said, pulling out the 140 he
had brought with him. He had hoped to get her something to remember him
by, and this worked perfectly...
"Ah, such selfless giving... You will make a wonderful parent someday."
The old man chuckled, thinking how soon that would be.
"Danny..."
"No buts, sis, I want to get this for you, you need something nice to
wear anyway..."
They handed over the cash, and the old man handed Jessa the locket, and
whispered in her ear, "Take this to the water park that opened a few
months ago, just south of your school... And be sure to take Danny with
you!" She stared, stunned, and then giggled, as he winked at her.
"Sure..."
As he pushed her out of the tent, he noticed his friends, walking out
from behind a big bush. "Had fun you two?" He giggled a bit as he saw
them both blush bright red.
"Why are you just standing there?"
Danny turned around and gasped... The tent had vanished.
The rest of their day was pretty uneventful, seeing as he and his sis had
spent all their money on the locket, which she had promptly put on. Both
of his friends said it looked cute on her, almost like it belonged
there...
When they got back to school next week, Danny noticed that his sister
seemed happier, almost "cheerful" going through the last weeks of school
before the end of term. Graduation for him was only days away when she
made an odd request...
"Danny, can we go to that water park? Please..."
Danny groaned, as he knew quite well the park she was talking about. It
was rumored to be an all girls water park, and he didn't see how she
would possibly enjoy it, especially since she had never learned to swim
very well. Her mother had always been so busy, and poor, and soon after
she had joined his family, her illness had surfaced, and they had been
busy with doctors and stuff. At the age of 15, his mother had gotten her
a swimsuit, to cheer her up a bit, but it had done just the opposite,
since she knew she would never be able to swim on her own, and the suit
just reminded her of that curse.
"You sure you wanna go there sis?" He was worried she might have other
reasons for wanting to go there.
"Yeah, you're going too bro..." She grinned at the surprised look on his
face.
"Uh sis, you do know guys aren't allowed in there, right?"
Her face clouded up. "Then why did the old man say I should go with you?"
Danny chuckled. "He probably had his own reasons..."
Regardless he helped her pack up what she would need to go. His mother
had really gone all out, since she had heard swimming was supposed to
help Jessa's condition. "Hope this stuff is still safe, and fits," Danny
mused as he loaded up the car he had bought with his dads help 2 years
ago.
The short ride to the park was silent, as both of them were wondering why
the crazy old man would send them both to a water park only his sister
could go to. Danny also had heard that Stacy had bought a lifetime pass
to this park, and was supposedly there several days a week. Maybe he
might get a chance to see her.
As they parked, and started to get the stuff out, Jessa noticed an old
woman coming out of one of the bigger buildings, and walking towards
them. She got her brother's attention and pointed her out.
He blanched when he saw the look on her face... "Uh, don't worry, I'm
just helping my sister here..."
The old woman cut him off... "That's rather obvious. Would you two come
into my office for a minute, before we get your sister into the park?"
"Uh, sure, I guess..." Danny was rather nervous now, with the looks that
both he and his sister were getting, and not just from the old woman.
That smirk of hers was, a little 'odd'...
"Just leave all that here, except for the water wings." She turned around
and started walking back to the building...
Danny was just frozen in shock...
"Well, are you coming or not?!?"
He put away the few things he had gotten out, except for the water wings,
and started to wheel Jessa after the old woman who had stopped, and once
they were closer, started walking back to the door.
"Funny, I didn't notice a door there before..." was all Danny's frazzled
mind could work out as they were led in.
As they entered a rather nice office, Danny was amazed at the variety of
stuff it had in it.
The old woman pulled him out of his reverie with a tap on the shoulder.
"If you could bring her beside that seat and sit down, we can work this
out..."
Once she was moved there and the locks set, he sat down. The old woman
had sat down on the other side of a gorgeous desk, with a curious look of
puzzlement on her face.
She sighed... "I knew that old bugger would work out how my magic worked
in the end, but I didn't know he would be able to weave in some of his
own as well..."
"Uhhh, magic?" Danny's mouth just gaped, had she said Magic?
"Indeed, this is a special water park for women, where they can be safe
from the normal leers guys tend to give women in swim suits... However,
men do come here, with a rather interesting twist. As long as they are in
the park, or for as long as their ticket lasts, they become a woman."
The old lady chuckled at the young mans astonishment, and just a little
bit of fear, and surprisingly enough, hope. "What I have seen here, would
probably drive you mad with its complexity, humor, and sometimes,
justice..."
"So, you mean, I might actually be able to come here, with my sister? And
I wouldn't have to leave her alone?"
"Indeed, but theres one little hiccup... That locket."
Jessa grabbed protectively at the locket she wore, she had worn it almost
constantly since she had gotten it at the fair. "What's wrong with my
locket?"
The old woman sighed. "Nothing is 'wrong' with it, except that it is
magical, and it has already woven its spell upon you. A protective spell,
which I don't have the magic to break. Ironically, the spell isn't quite
complete. He told you to come here, didn't he..."
"Never mind, the look in your eyes speaks for you. But don't worry, I'll
do my part, though you do still need tickets, which will cost you 40
dollars each..."
"Thats an awful lot for a single day..." Danny blurted out.
"If it was a single day, indeed, but this would be a lifetime pass..."
Danny choked at that. "But, wouldn't that mean I would be a woman my
entire life?"
"Yes, but it would also mean that both of the dreams in each of your
hearts would come true. Normally my magic doesn't affect women directly,
but with the influence of his charm, you would be linked more deeply than
you could ever imagine..."
Danny was shocked, how could this woman know both of his deepest wishes.
Only his sister even suspected the second of the two. That he wished he
could cure his sister was obvious, but only he knew of how deeply he
loved Stacy. Jessa suspected of course, but she didn't know the truth...
He had asked Stacy out last year, only to be turned down. It had hurt
even more when she had told him that he was nice, and even cute, but she
was only into girls...
Jessa was deep in thought as well, she wanted her brother to be happy,
always, but she also loved him immensely, and wanted it to be ok for him
to love her back, the idea that she might have both within her reach was
just too much.
"I'll go for it..."
Danny sighed, and said, "I'm good to go too I guess..."
The old woman grinned, pleased to know things would work out for these
two, despite the meddling of that old man. She even didn't mind her magic
being usurped a bit, when it did something as wonderful as this.
She took the money and led them into the locker room. Jessa was
apprehensive when she noticed it was the men's locker room... "Um..."
"Don't worry dear, everything is ok, your brother will be there to help
you when you need it..."
Jessa blushed furiously as her brother helped her undress for the
showers. He had done it so many times, but for some reason, it was worse
this time... She realized it was because usually their mother helped her
with the shower.
As they got under the shower spray, she gasped at how warm and soothing
it felt... She didn't even notice that she was getting smaller, all she
noticed was that her pains were receding, and that she was able to almost
stand on her legs...
She giggled as she actually walked out of the shower, amazed that she was
able to stand. Then she looked back at Danny.
"Danny? Is that you?!?"
Danny was a little surprised how he had changed, he-- well, she, had
rather ample breasts, long slender legs, but just a little bit of a
belly, and a little bit of droop in her breasts. She was shocked to
realize that the droop was due to pregnancy and breast feeding. The
memories flooded her mind, how she had given herself freely to that cute
guy 4 years ago, when she was just 15. How she had tried to hide her
shame from her mother, until it was too late, how she had struggled
through that first year of high school.
Tears came to her eyes as she remembered that. But then a grin filled in,
as she remembered how wonderful she had felt, holding Jessa for the first
time, her own little miracle. That surprised her, the thought that Jessa
was no longer her broken sister, but her gorgeous little daughter, who
she could love endlessly without worry, or fear, and since she was her
daughter, she wouldn't have any of those problems in her new future.
She remembered how her mother had helped her during those tough years,
and how much more of a bond she shared with her mother. Her mother wasn't
happy that she was a Grandma so early, but happy none the less...
Then her grin broke out into a full smile when she remembered how she had
started dating Stacy, this time, successfully. How on their 4th date,
Stacy lamented on how she didn't get as much time with Danielle as she
would have liked, but how she loved the glow of motherhood that was
perpetually on her gorgeous girlfriend's face.
"Um, Danny, what's wrong with us?"
"Nothing sweetheart, mommy is just remembering good times..."
"Mommy???" Then Jessa's face broke out in a smile as well... "I think I
like that..."
"Tut, tut, tut, you should know I don't allow topless sunbathing here my
dear," the old woman said as she came over with a generous top that fit
Danni's bottom.
Danni blushed as she quickly put on the top, amazed at how easily she did
so, and remembered many other good memories with this bikini...
"I believe you have someone waiting for you out there Danni. I suggest
you hurry up and not keep the poor girl waiting..."
As they entered the park proper, Danni was surprised to find herself
hugged by a very happy, and barely dressed Stacy... "What took you two so
long in there? I've been waiting out here forever for you to silly
girls."
Stacy picked up Jessa, which surprised Jessa a bit. "So, who's ready for
some chocolate ice cream?"
"I am!"
"Cmon honey, let's get this little bit of sunshine something sweet, so
that we can have a snack of our own..." Stacy said with a knowing wink to
her girlfriend from college.
"And I thought today couldn't get any better..." Danni said as she linked
hands with Stacy, and walked happily into the park, ready for the best
day of the rest of her life.
