I’m sure they encountered someone spectacular during the day or week & when having a romping time with their partner, will think about that person. Its natural, we are hardwired. What is cheating then, the actual act is cheating or entertaining the thought is cheating.
In my opinion, as long as we are not hurting anyone or sacrificing someone’s future because of our acts, its perfectly fine. Copulation as an act is inconsequential as long as we don’t beget children. Moral principles are intertwined into sex, because, if children are born out of wedlock, then there will be no one to nurture them.
