Standing at the top of the stairs, Danielle and Darian stood in each

were a bit nervous about their appearances and uncertain about being in

"Good morning sweeties,' said their mother as she placed pancakes on the
kitchen table. 'At least sit down and take a few moments to eat
breakfast before you two run off to school."
"Uuhhh, sure mom," Danielle said, sitting down and putting a few pancakes
on her plate.
"Honey, what's wrong? You seem to be nervous,' said their mother to
Darian. 'Is it a mother-daughter moment that you want to talk about in

Turning bright red, Darian said, "MOM! No. I'm fine, really I'm fine."
"Then eat something. I don't want my daughter going off to school
without at least something inside her stomach," stated their mother.
"Ok mom," said Darian. Sitting down, Darian took several pancakes and
put them on his plate and scarfed them down.
"Well you are a hungry one Danielle," stated their mother as she sat down
at the table with a cup of coffee.
It took a moment before Darian realized that his mother was actually
talking to him. Looking up, he said, "Yes mom, I guess I am." Going back
to eating a second later.
"Well it is about time your appetite showed improvement. I have been
worried for a while about your eating habits. You just haven't been
eating enough Danielle," said their mother happily.
"Uuummm, thanks. I guess," said Darian as he finished up his pancakes.
"Ok, thanks mom. But Danielle and I are going to be late for school so
we have to get going. Thanks for the breakfast," said the real Danielle
as she sat up quickly and took the real Darian's hand and pulled him
outside the kitchen door and into the driveway.
Scampering behind his own body, Darian asked, "What the hell? What's
going on? Stop dragging me along."
"Darian, you were like a clueless teen boy in there just now. You were
sitting with your legs wide open and you scarfed down breakfast and you
talked to mom like you were still a boy. We can't have them think for a
second that we were any different than ourselves until we fix this."
"So what if I did? I am a boy ya know," stated Darian.
"Only in your mind, in body you are me; plain and simple. No one will
understand what happened to us. We have to keep this under wraps until
we can change back to our real lives," said Danielle.
"Ok, OK. You're right. I'll try to come across as feminine as I can
be," said Darian, rolling his eyes.
"Don't come across as too feminine. I have a rep as a Goth girl to hold
up," responded Danielle.
"Don't I know it," said Darian.
"Good,' said Danielle. 'By the way do you have to be so dorky with your
conservative wardrobe?"
"Hey, I like my wardrobe. It makes me feel comfortable," said Darian.
"Ha,' said Danielle. 'It's what you want people to think about you. Not
what you want to be."
"Whatever. Look, 'just go with it' right?" responded Darian folding his
arms across his chest. A second's worth of surprise crossed his face
once he felt his body's breasts under the black V-neck t-shirt he wore.
Danielle smirked at his most feminine defensive stance in her body.
"Listen; just be as feminine as you think you can be. We have to learn
and switch back ASAP. Just do what you think I will do."
"Stop it. Just stop it. You are being just too calm about all of this,"
said Darian sourly.
"I'm just trying to be positive about this whole situation. It's not
easy being in a male's body after living my entire life in a female's
body. What else can I do but try to accept it until we change back?"
said Danielle.
"You can be at least somewhat depressed. This is annoying that you are
so upbeat after you being such a downer the past few years," said Darian.
"Well let's just leave the drive way so that mom and dad don't think
something's up. We can just head over to the library and look up various
spells and incantations about how people can change bodies like we did,'
said Danielle. 'What else can we do? Go to school."
Snorting, Darian said, "No! I'm not hanging out with your friends for the
day. They creep me out."
"Then let's go to the library. What else can we do? Hang out in the
park for the day," said Danielle.
"Fine let's go. But I'm not happy about this whole thing about being in
your body,' said Darian. 'It just creeps me out knowing that I have my

"Oh, just get over it. I have to go around in your body. You don't hear

don't think about it," said Danielle.
