Donald stopped and walked over to her and wraps his arm around her

"Dear I just got back and next Tuesday we will have to see the wedding

She rolled her eyes and says, "What am I going to do with you."
Michelle and her boyfriend who owned the paint and body shop came

Michelle said, "Donald this is Randy Addison he owns the Silver Streak
Paint and Body."
Donald said, "Hi, Randy how are you? You guys have done a great job on

"You sound like you know what you are doing."
Regina said, "Honey, why don't you knock off, for now, you have made
plenty of progress. What is it going to take to finish a day or 2?"
Donald grinned and said, "You heard the boss."
Alan said, "I heard from Michelle you 2 are getting married?"
Donald said, "Ya and hey do you want to help me put my tools away."
"So when is the date?"
Donald sighed and said, "We are supposed to see the wedding planner
Tuesday."
He laughed and said, "I thought you were going to stay a confirmed
bachelor."
They put the tools back into the Tahoe and walked inside laughing and
talking.
Randy sat down beside Michelle and Regina gave a beer to Donald said,
"Wow, my favorite beer how did you know?"
Regina smiled and said, "I am a woman of many talents."
Donald handed a beer to Randy and he said thank you.
Regina said, "Now, Donald sit down so I can finish dinner."
Alan asked, "So, how did you 2 meet?"
Donald said, "I think I might Amy and Regina when they were searching
for Michelle."
Randy said, "Really?"
Regina said, "Ya. Elbert and Lillian said we needed help in searching
for Michelle but my suspicion is she may have been trying to do a
little matchmaking."
They all laughed because they knew Lillian.
Michelle asked, "So did you want to go out with her?"
Donald said, "To be honest with you I think I was still grieving for
my wife. I wasn't really ready to go dating."
Regina said, "I wasn't either it was about a year later that we went
out on our first date. I can't believe it we have been seeing each
other now for almost 6 years I believe."
Donald said, "Sounds about right."
Michelle said, "Wow, so that night at the motel had to have been what
8 years ago."
Amy and her new boyfriend who drives a truck came in and Regina said,
"Wow, Amy who is this man?"
"His name is Nick Adams and he owns Adams Transport."
Nick said, "I have about 3 or trucks."
Donald said, "Nice to meet you."
Regina looked at Amy and said, "We have been figuring it has been
about 8 years since that night at that motel."
Amy said, "That is about right but isn't this August 12th?"
Michelle said, "Yes, why do ask?"
Amy said, "I checked in on August 13th."
All of a sudden the room went quiet at that revelation.
Regina said, "Then we need to be close to that motel on the 14th so we
can be prepared for anything."
Donald said, "Wasn't there a large trench cut across that road and
also lots of trees fell across it."
Michelle said, "What guarantees that the trench and trees will remain
there that road was paved on the 13th and turned back to dirt by the
morning of the 14."
Regina said, "You are right about that."
Nick said, "I can help to greet her or them I have lived here all of
my life and know about that motel."
Donald said, "I can too."
Elbert and Lillian came in and they all hugged and Elbert said, "So,
what are you guys talking about?"
Michelle said, "That motel."
Elbert said, "Damn, what about that road being blocked off. Great no
guarantees that road won't remain being blocked off. Sorry about my
language."
Lillian said, "Well, I came here with some news Elbert and I sold our
house. We will be moving into that retirement complex."
Michelle said, "I forgot they did, I sold it."
Regina said, "But why?"
Elbert replied, "Because I am 90 and she is 88 and it was getting more
difficult for me to take care of the house. We do love that house and
we raised a great family in it but we need something that we have less
to take care of. We will help where we can but we can't take anybody
else in."
Regina couldn't believe it but they must have been in their 80s when
they helped the three of them.
Lillian said, "Don't act like this is a funeral we are still alive
just slowing down."
Michelle laughed and said, "You are right."
Regina said, "Dinner is served."
You could barely see the table with the food on it and they all served
themselves.
Elbert said, "I can't believe it Regina will be getting married Amy
and Michelle have boyfriends and all 3 of you are successful."
Michelle said, "I think you 2 should take most of the credit you were
here when we needed you the most."
Lillian said, "Well, you girls know what we did to help you and you
can now take the torch because well until we can find out how we can
stop her she will keep doing this."
Regina said, "You are right."
They all enjoyed dinner and they all were talking and laughing.
After dinner, Lillian Michelle and Amy insisted on helping Regina
clean up.
The men went out to the unfinished porch and Elbert said, "So when are
you 2 getting hitched?"
Donald said, "We are to see the wedding planner Tuesday."
Elbert clapped his hand on Donald's shoulder and said, "You are doing
a hellva job on this porch."
Donald said, "You know it feels good to use my hands again."
Regina came out and said, "You admiring the work my fiancee is doing?"
Elbert and Randy said in unison, "Yep."
"Well, why don't you come back in and enjoy some drinks with us
ladies."
Donald put his arm around Regina and stole a kiss and Regina kissed
him back.
Lillian stole a kiss and Elbert said, "You are such a beautiful lady."
They all walked inside the house and sat down.
Michelle said, "Here is an interesting problem. Which house are you 2
living in?"
Donald said, "I am thinking seriously of selling my house."
Regina said, "What?"
Donald said, "After we get married of course. That house is where my
wife and I lived and it has her all over the house. I loved her very
very much but once I am married to you I need to move on."
Regina said, "That house is so beautiful."
Donald said, "This house is nice and remember I did build the deck.
Remember it is just a house we will make the house a home."
Tears welled up in Regina's eyes and she wrapped her arms around
Donald''s neck and she smothered him with kisses.
She said, "You don't know how happy you made me."
Donald said, "I have an idea."
Everybody said, "Wow, every time we come we witness something big."
Michelle jokingly said, "Who gets to list it?"
Donald said, "You know I think you can and list it for about $300,000
I think that should be good. Skip that list it for 315 that is what it

Regina said, "You realize letting Michelle sell your house she will
always be your friend. "
Donald said, "First, I learned a person should never sell their own
house and Michelle is about the best realtor I have."
Elbert said, "I never expected to you to sell your house."
Donald said, "Susan my former wife is all over that house and I want
to start things anew with Regina."
Elbert said, "I would probably do the same as you if I were in your
shoes but fortunately I am not so I don't have to worry."
Lillian laughed and said, "Nice recovery."
Elbert said, "What recovery I am not jealous of Donald because I have
the love of my life."
They all laughed with that quick conversation between Lillian and
Elbert because everybody knew what kind of love they had for each
other.
Donald asked, "What did you do before retiring?"
Elbert said, "I worked in the railyards of Burlington Northern for 45
years."
Lillian said, "I remember making his lunches and he would leave early
in the morning to drive the hour to get there."
Elbert said, "I remember the last day I worked close to 30 years ago
still have this snazzy watch."
They all laughed and Lillian said, "We kept putting away for the
retirement and so we are doing well."
Elbert said, "We aren't rich but we aren't hungry and our kids comes
to see us every Christmas and our oldest son he is a year or 2 from
retirement."
Regina asked, "How many kids?"
Lillian said, "4 our oldest is 63 and the next oldest is 55 and our
oldest daughter 50 and the youngest is 45 and we have 10 grandchildren
and 2 great-grandchildren."
Regina said, "Wow."
Elbert smiled and said, "Pretty good huh."
Lillian laughed and said, "We have been blessed, "
Michelle said, "Yes you have been blessed."
Lillian said, "It is simple but not always easy we have been blessed
this way because of our love for each other and not just infatuation.
Infatuation for each other dies but true love never does. We have had
our share of arguments and tears but we never ever ever brought up the
word divorce and never ever ever went to bed angry of course that
sometimes meant sleepless nights, Now, as years go by we have found
that things that really bothered us well we would find out wasn't
really anything to worry about."
Regina said, "So you really learned to not sweat the small stuff."
Elbert said, "Oh, yes I was one of those guys who could anger easily
but after about 15 years of marriage not so much because I had a
beautiful wife."
Michelle said, "AAAAh that sounds so romantic."
Lillian said, "True romance you will find takes work because true
romance is always thinking of your husband or wife."
Elbert said, "Do you know how much planning it took to go out when we
had children finding a babysitter and what not."
They all laughed at the image of having to get a babysitter.
Donald asked, "What are your sex lives like?"
Elbert said, "Not as energetic and you stop worrying about being able
to get it up all the time."
Everybody laughed and Lillian pinched him and she said, "Don't
encourage him because he will only get worse."
Elbert said, "There are a lot of nights where Lillian and I are happy
to lay naked with each other and feeling each other's bodies."
Lillian pinched his arm and she said, "He is right but I am sure you
don't want to picture 2 old people like us naked."
Everybody really laughed at that last comment and Lillian and Elbert
smiled at each other.
Regina said, "Wow, you have given us a million dollars worth of
advice."
Lillian said, "I don't know about that we have learned this because
Elbert and I never thought of divorce."
Elbert said, "Might have a time or 2 thought of killing each other."
Everybody laughed and really were assured that Elbert and Lillian
really did go through their trials and tribulations during their
marriage.
Elbert looked outside and said, "Well, it is getting bedtime for
Lillian and me."
Elbert and Lillian stood up and gave everybody a hug and they walked
slowly out to their car.
As they pulled out of the driveway Regina asked, "So hon what do you
think of what you heard?"
"I want us to be like them in 45 years."
Regina squeezed his hand and said, "Me too."
Regina said, "I think I am ready for bed myself it is getting late."
Donald kissed Regina and said, "Me, too and heck I know you will have
work ahead of you of preparing this house for us."
Regina said, "Hey, you are helping."
Donald said, "Deal."
Donald walked towards his Tahoe and waved back at Regina and Regina
waved at Donald as he was leaving.
Michelle Nick and Regina hugged each other and they left.
Regina after closing the door she thought about how Donald said,he was
going to sell his house after they were married and was serious.
Regina went into the bedroom getting dressed for bed thinking about
everything being engaged to the man she loves and thinking about
seeing a wedding planner next week. She laughed at the memory of
Donald in the driver's seat just sitting there because he was so
nervous. Now they are getting ready to plan for their wedding and
Donald will have Michelle list his house for sale. Another thing she
thought of everybody having to prepare for Adelaide to once again make
her appearance because it has been about 8 years since she struck the
last time and that was when they were Michael. Richard and David.
Regina knew that Adelaide couldn't wait to make an appearance and she
knew they were ready.
After brushing out her hair she started to think that ya they will be
ready and she started to slowly fall asleep.
