She was about to get up when there was a knock on the door and Donald
answered and it was Michelle and Alan.
They came in and Michelle was beaming and she came and hugged Regina.

Regina said, "I am 4 months now and I swear I am delivering a sumo
wrestler who kicks like a field goal kicker."
Michelle looked at her sympathetically and then showed Regina her left

Donald and Regina said, "Well congratulations."

Don looked at them and said, "Well, Regina and I were going to go get a
bite to eat do you 2 want to go with us?"

Regina took Don's arm after getting up and they walked out slowly down
the steps of the porch and went to Regina's Honda.
He opened the door for her and helped her into the passenger seat and
after she was in he closed the door and went to the driver's seat.
He started backing out and after leaving the driveway he saw Michelle
and Alan following them.
Regina smiled and said, "Thank you, dear, but you can't do this through
my delivery."
Donald looked at her and said, "You looked especially tired this
evening."
Regina said, "Yes. it was inventory today and our scanner went haywire
and we had to do it all by hand, We are supposed to have the computer
programmer on Monday and all of it will have to be inventoried again
but with that scanner, one person will be able to do it in an hour."
They pulled up to the cafe and he helped her out of the car and as they
were going in Alan and Michelle came in.
As the four of them were sitting down Susan and a new man walked in and
Regina said, "Hello, Susan who is this new friend?"
Susan said, "Oh, this is Tom and I met him after my interview at the
dealership and you know I applied as a sales associate and the manager
understood my plight."
Donald said, "What is your sales manager's name?"
She said, "Eddy Roberts."
Donald said, "Oh crazy Eddy."
Susan said, "Crazy Eddy?"
Donald said, "He did things like jumping from the second story window
at the high school. Oh, Susan don't call him that. Another guy I went
to high school with so yes he knows about the motel."

Tom said, "I run the landscaping business."
Donald said, "Oh you guys cleaned up one of the yards of the house we
sold."
Tom grinned and said, "Guilty and wow that property where that motel is
well rather strange with no vegetation."
Donald laughed and said, "No it will never have it either it is
cursed."
Tom said, "I think I understand."
Susan asked, "What got you guys here in this cafe?"
Donald said, "Regina looked extra tired and she was still wanting to
cook dinner. Between her pregnancy and hand inventory, I knew she
couldn't handle it."
Tom said, "Excuse me, how can that be weren't you ladies men when you
checked into that motel?"
Donald said, "That witch kind of changes their plumbing with her
spell."
Tom said, "I don't understand that at all."
Donald laughed and said, "I was born and raised here and I don't
understand it and just accept it. How long have you lived here?"
Tom said, "15 years."
Donald said, "No wonder, you have been here just long enough to try to
find a logical explanation those who have been here for 20 years or
more just pretty much accept it."
Tom shook his head and said, "Well, OK the curse will never chase me
out I love this town."
Donald said, "Good and sometimes that witch makes things really
interesting for us."
They all ordered dinner and Tom asked, "Susan so did you-you know used
to?"
Susan said, "I use to be a man and I still have that last little
remnant of being a man down there."
Tom shook his head and said, "But, you are all woman."
Regina said, "She is all woman she can get pregnant. I am one of those
who became a woman from that curse. I am about 4 months pregnant."
Tom said, "Well this town is definitely different."
Donald said, "It is and because of that motel you can say this town

They all laughed so hard they had tears in their eyes.
Donald said, "Oh, you have a very special lady there as a friend."
Tom said, "I know we have had a heck of a conversation."
Their dinners came and they started eating and Tom asked, "Regina when
did you come here?"
Regina said, "I came here about 5 years ago I was driving a 1969

Donald and Regina finished eating and Regina said, "I hate to say this
but I am so sleepy being 4 months pregnant and all. Goodbye, and Tom it
was such a pleasure meeting you and yes I know it will be hard to sort
it out but if you 2 get in a relationship and get married yes you will
still be straight."
Tom laughed and said, "That I can understand."
Regina said, "Good and everything else will just confuse you."
Tom asked, "So you go through your monthly?"
Regina said, "Until 4 months ago the first time it happened I wasn't
prepared. Let's not get into details so yes I go through all the things
that other women go through and so does Susan."
Tom said, "Well. I have to say I never stayed in that motel apparently,
It definitely makes this town interesting."
Donald said, "Well, around 1905 when the hotel came to life not only
were the men who stayed there turn to women but also the cows in the
area went dry."
Tom said, "That is a vindictive witch."
Donald said, "Exactly now we have to leave."
Donald and Regina left and Donald opened the door for Regina and Regina
got in and he closed the door.
Donald got in and Regina said, "It sure is a little soon for Susan to
start dating."
Donald laughed and said, "Susan introduced Tom as a new friend."
Regina said, "Maybe but she was out with him"
Donald asked, "When we were dating did you just introduce me as a
friend or as your boyfriend?"
Regina laughed and said, "My boyfriend."
After they backed up Donald said, "I do trust Susan's judgment and I
suggest you do too."
Regina said, "I have become one of those women who pokes her nose into
other women's business."
Donald said, "You have a wonderful heart, and you are very concerned
about her."
Regina started dressing for bed and brushing her hair out and Donald
was undressing down to his boxers.
Regina said, "I can't believe how fast time passes by. It still seems
like yesterday when I woke up at that motel realizing the
transformation and first seeing Michelle and Amy then running outside
to see my rig missing."
Donald said, "I got to meet a beautiful and spectacular lady."
She smiled and said, "You were such a dear for trying to help us find
Michelle."
Donald said, "Oh remember I am a native to this insanity."
Regina asked, "So how would people react if any of us ladies moved away
from here?"
Donald said, "If any of the ladies were married before leaving I guess
it would be nobodies business."
Regina said, "I guess you are right."
They looked at the time and saw it was 10:00 already and decided to go
to bed. After crawling into bed Regina and Donald kissed each other
good night.
