work with his assistant paged him.

He said, "Bye and I can trust you to hold down the fort."
He ran to the Tahoe and got in and started it up.
He drove the 15 minutes to the house and he saw Stephanie's Nissan
crossover Rogue in the driveway.
He went into the house and there was Regina giving Stephanie
instructions on Jason.
After she was finished she turned towards Donald and said, "My water
broke honey."
He took her bag which has been packed and he took her arm and they
walked down the steps of the porch.
She said, "I am so glad you took care of the addition on the house."
He said, "We have been expecting this little one."
They drove to the hospital and went to the front desk.
While they were filling out the paperwork the nurse brought out a
wheelchair.
After that, they wheeled Regina back into one of the rooms and Regina
undressed and got in one of the hospital gowns and Donald tied the
back.
Regina laid in the bed and Donald kissed her forehead and said, "You
are so beautiful."
Regina laughed and said, "You are such a liar I am like a beached whale
but I will take that compliment."
Her Ob-gyn came in smiling and said, "Hello, Mrs. Addison we are doing
this again."
She smiled and said, "Yes, we are."
The nurse came in to take her vitals and he asked, "So are you
experiencing any labor pains?"
She said, "No, not yet the water broke about 30 minutes ago."
He said, "Well, as you know you should start feeling labor pains which
will be about 30 minutes apart then they will work to about 15 minutes
apart then 5 and then 2 but you are an old pro at this now."
She said, "Maybe in a year or so we might shoot for 3."
They all started laughing and he said, "We will have an epidural on
hand just in case."
He said, "OK well, I have about 3 more expectant mothers on this floor
2 of them are further along but I have my most trusted physician
assistant and one of my most trusted nurses who will be on top of your
pregnancy. My physician assistant is Mary Daniels and my nurse is
Jennifer Holt and they will be right here and they are connected to my
beeper so they push the button and I will be right here."
Regina said, "Relax Dr. Monroe you are almost as nervous as Donald."
Donald sat down beside her and took her hand and he said, "I do love
you."
Regina asked, "Are you ready for a daughter?"
Donald said, "Yes, I know she will be just as beautiful as you are."
She said, "Thank you and how far along is Michelle?"
Donald said, "She told me 2 months."
She laughed and said, "Michelle told me she would never get married and

Donald laughed and said, "Well, now she is carrying a child."
All of a sudden Regina winced in pain and the nurse said, "Is that your
first labor pain?"
Regina said, "Yes, a little weak but I believe it is my first labor
pain."
The nurse looked at her watch and said, "It is now 2 and it is time to
keep monitoring you."
Regina said, "I am so glad I worked out on the treadmill and walked."
The nurse said, "I noticed how tone you are."
Regina said, "Yes, I got to hunt last year. Got a real nice buck might
be able to do that this fall."
The nurse asked, "Have you ever tried duck hunting?"
Regina said, "No, and you hunt?"

the second childbirth would all of a sudden accelerate after the second
labor pain."
Regina said, "I will like that."
Jennifer said, "I would love that and it is so interesting that you
have the uterus and fallopian tubes and vagina that is required for
childbirth."
Regina said, "Here is another thing I am originally from Newkirk
Oklahoma and It seems I was never born there now."
She asked, "Where were you born at then?"
Regina laughed and said, "As a woman, I guess here. Now, don't ask me
the logic of that because I don't know I guess you can just chalk that
up to witchcraft."
Regina winced in pain and Jennifer looked at her watch and said, "Wow,
15 minutes apart I am going to see Dr. Monroe."
Jennifer left and Dr. Monroe came back and he was smiling nervously and
said, "Wow, so your labor pains are now 15 minutes apart. Looks like
you and my other patient are really syncing up."
Regina laughed and said, "You know us women our deliveries and periods
will sync up."
Jennifer and Regina were laughing hard and the 2 men blushed at that
remark.
The doctor put the blood pressure cuff on her arm and pumped it up and
let it drop and saw the reading and saw the blood pressure was at 150
over 90.
The doctor said, "Your blood pressure is elevated so your daughter
looks to be getting more and more ready to come out in the world. I
have to go back to my patient hopefully she will deliver really soon
her labor pains are just 2 minutes apart."
He went back and within 20 minutes they heard a baby cry and they heard
Dr. Monroe say, "You have a very healthy boy. Now, I will leave this to
one of my nurses to weigh and clean him."
He came back and said, "Well, just as if on cue the baby came out to
the world. Now you can get my full attention."
Regina asked, "What about the other lady that hasn't delivered yet?"
He smiled and said, "It seems she has had a couple of false labor pains
she may not deliver until tomorrow morning. By then I think the other
OB-Gyn might get here hopefully she is a good one you were the
unfortunate one to have me."
Regina said, "Oh, you have been fabulous with my son and this one."
He asked, "How is he doing/"
Regina said, "I am having a hard time keeping up with him and also he
just keeps talking."
He asked, "How old is he?"
Regina said, "Almost 3."
He said, "Wow time does march on."
She laughed and said, "It sure does."
All of a sudden another labor pain and Jennifer said, "That is 10
minutes apart."
Dr, Monroe said, "Wow you are progressing very nicely."
She laughed and said, "I got things to do don't want to lay here all
night."
Dr. Monroe laughed and said." I am glad to hear that."
The labor came closer and closer Dr. Monroe said, "It is getting time."
She started breathing heavier and heavier and was sweating and Donald
started wiping her forehead.
The doctor said, "I see her head keep pushing."
Donald coached her and said, "You doing so good babe."
She kept pushing and all of a sudden he said, "She is almost out and
here she is."
He started rubbing inside her mouth and she cried.
Regina started crying in happiness at the little girl she just gave
birth to.
Regina started to hold the little girl to her breast and Donald saw
them both and he felt a tear in his eyes.
He said, "Isn't she beautiful?"
Regina said, "Yes she is."
Dr. Monroe said, "You have a beautiful girl and also a handsome little
guy. Wow, my friend has another patient. Well, let me check the baby's
vitals.
He put the stethoscope on her chest and he said, "Wow, she has such a
strong heartbeat. Well, I did my little bit and so I will leave you.
Now, you will have to stay here overnight but you and what is her
name?"
Regina and Donald said, "Elizabeth."
Dr. Monroe said, "Elizabeth Addison that is a pretty name. Well,
Elizabeth welcome to Silver Springs. Well, I am going to go ahead and
stay with that one patient and oh you have a visitor."
In came Stephanie and their son Jason and Stephanie said, "Oh look at
that that is your sister Jason."
Stephanie asked, "What is her name?"
Regina said, "Elizabeth."

She asked, "Donald so what now?"
He laughed and said, "If she looks like Regina well I will be spending
a lot of time at the door when she is a teenager. I will love both of
these children and cherish every moment with them I can spend."
Stephanie said, "Just like a doting father."
Donald held out his arms for Jason and he held him and he said, "That
is your sister Elizabeth."
Jason said, "Lizbeth."
Stephanie said, "Wow, he said her name."
Jason bent down and kissed Elizabeth and Regina said, "AAAAhhhhh look

He said, "Yes, he does."
Regina said, "Guys, I am tired and I want to get some sleep with my
beautiful daughter or Donald our beautiful daughter."
Stephanie and Donald went downstairs and Jason asked, "So will mommy
come home?"
Donald said, "Yes, Jason she will and Elizabeth will come home tomorrow
and we will all be together. They just need to stay in the hospital
tonight so the Doctors and nurses can make sure they are all right."
He put Jason in his car seat and Jason said, "I love you, daddy."
Donald hugged Jason and said, "I love you too Jason."
He belted Jason in his car seat and Jason went to sleep.
Stephanie asked, "Do you want to drive?"
Donald said, "I don't know if I have the energy to drive Stephanie."
Stephanie said, "Just sit back and relax."
Donald sat back and Stephanie got in the driver's seat and she looked
back at sleeping, Jason.
Stephanie said, "This is Tuesday."
Donald yawned and said, "Really, no wonder I am so tired."
Stephanie said, "You and Regina have 2 beautiful children."
Donald yawned and said, "Ya but how are things going with you and
Steve?"

if the top was left down in the rain or something like that."
"That would be beautiful restored."
Stephanie said, "Ya and it is the vertical head lights."
The next thing Donald fell asleep and he slept until they pulled into
the driveway.
Donald said, "Sorry about that you weren't that boring."
Stephanie said, "No no, you have been up for several hours now do you
want me to pick you up in the morning."
Donald said, "Sure, if you don't mind her car is still there."
Stephanie said, "I don't mind and I would love to."
Donald got Jason out and put his head on his shoulder and he carried
him to the door and he unlocked the door and went in.
He went into Jason's room and started dressing him for bed and Jason
woke up just long enough to tell Donald how much he loved him and he
fell asleep as Donald laid him on the pillow.
Donald went to the bedroom and stripped down to his boxers and his hand
went over to Regina's side of the bed. This has been the first time
since marriage that he slept alone in the bed.
He crawled into bed knowing he would be getting Regina and Elizabeth in
the morning and he slowly drifted off to sleep.
