Mark asked, "What the hell are you checking?"
"To check if that highway is paved back over. Because if it is then

Jason said, "Well, he lives here for just a year and he thinks he knows

They got to the highway and he said, "Randy look."

Jason said, "This is the highway we were talking about."
Randy showed up behind them and said, "So is this the newbie who

Mark asked, "What are you afraid of?"
Jason laughed and said, "I like being a guy. If you think it is all a
hoax go into the lobby but if you see an old scraggly haired woman run

Jason, Elizabeth, and Randy left and went to Jason's house and ran
inside and Regina turned around.
She asked, "What is going on?"

backed out and then headed to the old highway and got within that motel

Regina asked, "You saw her."

and I went in there."
She looked at Jason and said, "You insisted for him to go."

They went to the hill and Regina looked through the binoculars first
and said, "Somebody is coming through and Adelaide knows."
Jason looked and he said, "Yes he does mom."
She looked at Randy and asked, "Do you have any extra rooms."
He said, "We have a hideaway bed in the den."
She said, "That might not work. Oh, your name is Mark?"
He said, "Yes."
She asked, "How many bedrooms do your parents have?"
He said, "5 bedrooms."
She asked, "Do you think your mom can put up 1 or 2 confused women
tomorrow?"
He said, "I think so."
She said, "Good well, we will go back to my house and I will call her
from there."
Elizabeth got in front and the 3 boys piled in the back.
Mark said, "This can't be possible."
Regina said, "Oh the strange things haven't happened yet the motel has
just woken up. Nobody has checked in."

Regina said, "Look, don't try to come up with a logical explanation for
this but somebody or some people are just about maybe within 300 miles
or shorter of that motel. They will be men and will check into that
motel."
Mark said, "This isn't real."
They got to the house and Regina asked for the number and dialed.
Regina said, "Aah Mrs. Andrews nice to meet you. Oh your son is here
and he is good. Now, I have something to explain and this may sound
insane. But there is a motel that is you can say is curesed. Oh you
have heard of it and you think it is a myth. No I can assure you it
isn't but that motel is awake and there will be a man or 2 or 3 men
checking in and tomorrow they will be women. Now, would you be willing
to put up a confused woman or 2?" I will be more than happy to pay for
part of the expenses. Oh you would like to go with me in the morning?
Sure you can go with me and also Michelle."
She hung up the phone and Mark said, "Mom wants to go with you? Will
there be any danger?"
Regina said, "No the next morning that motel would be going dormant
again now what else does that witch have in mind?"
Mark said, "I don't understand any of this."
Regina said, "There is no logical explanation to this. Once you
understand that you can just accept it . I have been a woman now for
almost 20 years and I learned, When I went to the motel I was a man
from Newkirk, Oklahoma woke up an hermophradite woman with my past as a

Donald came home and he came in and saw Elizabeth, Jason, Randy and
Mark in the livingroom and Regina came in.

vehicles there yet."

Donald said, "Smart. Nobody has checked in but there is a person or
people traveling through here who will probably be staying there. That
means they will have to have a place to stay."
Regina said, "His parents can put up one or 2 women."
Donald said." Good, So you must have called them."
Regina said, "Can you take him home?"

Donald and Mark went out and Mark got his bike and they put it in the

They got to Mark's house and his dad was out and he told Mark to go in.

There was Elizabeth, Jason and Randy and Donald said, "Randy go home to
Michelle."
Randy said, "Yes sir, I am going home."

Donald went over to Regina and kissed her and he was holding her and
she said, "So looks like we are going to have more women. "
Donald snorted and said, "What else?"

the binoculars and we perched on the hill above the motel."
Donald said, "Good."
Elizabeth and Jason went in to help Regina with dinner and Donalld was
amazed at his family.
They finished cooking and set the table and they all sat down and
Donald asked, "How would you like us to work on your car this weekend?"
He said, "Sure. I was able to get that atlas 4 speed transfer case I
was saving up for."
His dad laughed and said, "I wasn't really mechanically inclined but I
will know as much as you by the time we get done."
Elizabeth said, "I got an A on my Algebra test."
She put the paper in front of her parents and her dad said, "Wow."

Donald said, "Nobody is perfect but a 92 that is great. We wll have to
take you out for a celebration. You show this to Amy and she will have

Donald looked at his family and thinking back on how lucky he is to
have this great family.
Regina asked, "What are you thinking?"
He said, "Just thinking how lucky I am to have this family."

Regina,Elizabeth and Jason went to clean up the kitchen and Donald went
to the livingroom to read the paper but keeping on the back of his mind
what Adelaide had on hers.
They finished up and the 3 of them sat down and Jason said, "I wish I
strongly insisted Mark to not go to that motel."
"What did you tell him?"
Jason exhaled and said, "I told him to wait for us away from that motel
but told him if he did go down and he saw Adelaide to run like hell."
Donald said, "You did good. it was his decision to go down."
Jason said, "It seems I could have insisted stronger."
Donald said, "You can only inform and what they do after that
information is their decisio and they have to live with it."
Jason felt better after that and Regina said, "They get to experience
the motel waking up."
Donald laughed and said, "Oh ya maybe they won't run out of town
screaming."
Donald looked at his watch and said, "Time for bed guys."
Jason and Elizabeth went to their rooms and Donald made sure all of the
doors were locked and locked the bolt locks also.
He went into the bedroom and Regina was getting dressed for bed and he
started stripping down to his boxers.
Regina said, "I can't help but worry about Mark Andrews."
Donald sad, "I know but he was warned against going to that motel."
Regina said, "I know well I guess we need to strap down for that
impending storm."
As they were climbing into bed a car was going down that highway with a
father and his 14-year-old son was driving down that highway and they
were about to pull into that motel.
