Regina. Donald, Elizabeth, and Jason were all up especially early this
morning because of that motel and as they quickly finished up with
breakfast Michelle and Randy and Alan were at the door.

and he got inside the driver's seat and Jason and Elizabeth got in the
back seat.
They drove to the highway and as Donald turned on the newly paved
highway Donald shook his head in disbelief.
Jason said, "We need to check on Mark and his family."
Donald asked, "Why?"
Jason said, "He saw that witch. I told him to stay away from that motel
but if he didn't and he saw her to run like hell."
Regina said, "You really need to watch your language."
Jason said, "I am sorry but he followed us and I was really frustrated
him he is one of those newbies here and he calls you gay and says that
motel is just a myth. I just get frustrated with these know it alls
that move in."
Regina said, "That is still no excuse to talk that way."
They pulled in front of the motel and they saw what looked like a woman
of maybe in the mid-40s with a daughter of about 12 or 13 and they
looked really confused.
Regina said, "Hello."
The woman said, "My name is Sam and this is my son Jonas."
Regina said, "I am afraid not just to make this quick what has happened
you stayed in that motel and it is cursed and well you have been
transformed to at least androgynous women."
The one named Jonas started to cry and he said, "I want to see mom."
Regina looked at him sympathetically and Sam said, "I went and picked
him up at boy scout camp because he got sick. It was really late and we
had to stop for the night. I know my wife has to be worried."
Michelle said, "I am sorry to tell you this but your previous life has
been eliminated. You are no longer married. I know because I was
married and I went back to my hometown and my wife was happily married
to another man and nobody knew me. I know it is probably more than you
want to comprehend because I know it was with me."
Sam was starting to cry and he asked, "What shall we do?"
Regina said, "Come with us. We have a place for you to go to. By the
way look at the i.d.s in your purses."
They looked and Jonas said, "This birth certificate says my name is
Janet and that I am 12 and born in Silver Springs."
The man said, "My id says my name is Sandy and I was born in Silver
Springs."
Regina said, "There is a car. go get your key from the room and follow
us."
They went back to their room and the father hit the key fob and the
Toyota Camry unlocked and they got in and they followed the caravan.
As they pulled in they saw Sylvia Andrews and she was visibly upset/
She asked Jason, "What have you done to my son?"
Jason said, "Nothing. He went into that motel as we were going to get
binoculars."
She called him out and what they saw was a girl who was crying.

Donald said, "This is what must happen because he or she has seen her.
This has never happened to a resident of Silver Springs that I know

Mark left and he was gone for a few minutes and came back out and
he/she said, "This birth certicate but I know it isn't mine I wasn't
born here."
Regina said, "It is your birth certificate now and you are Melonie now.
Thankfully, you didn't stay in that motel because you still have your
mom and dad."
Sylvia said, "So what do we do now?"
Regina said, "Love her."
Melonie said, "The guys will beat me up or something."
Jason said, "You might get ribbing but I believe it will be about you
being boneheaded about going into that motel. Most of us were born here
so about you being turned into girl guys and girls will be pretty
understanding."
Melonie laughed and said, "I guess it was dumb for me going inside that
motel and I am still alive."
Donald said, "We are going to have to see what else that twisted witch
might have done in town."
Danny asked, "Are you sure you didn't mean twisted bitch?"
Donald laughed and said, "No I meant witch but she is that too."
Danny asked, "Can I go with you to town?"
Donald said, "Sure."
They went to town and they drove by the dealership that Stephanie
worked at and Stephanie stopped them.
Stephanie asked, "Are you wondering what else might have happened?"
Donald said, "Yes."

They followed her and they went to the lot and they stopped at the new
Chevrolet Sierra 2500.
Stephanie said, "Look at it."
Donald laughed and said, "It is pink and red talking a really loud
pink."
Stephanie said, "That isn't funny the insurance doesn't cover this,"
Donald said, "I am sorry but it is pretty mild it will have to be
repainted. There weren't any explosions."
Stephanie laughed and said, "You are right she just got really
mischief."
Danny said, "Are you telling me she did this?"
Stephanie said, "Yes this truck was silver."
"We need to go back and see how your now daughter is doing along with
that new mother and her daughter."
They drove back and they pulled into the driveway and they walked
inside.
Sylvia said to Danny, "I am so thankful we have so much support and
they will be staying with us until they can get on their feet."
Melonie said, "I am sorry what I said about your parents."
Jason said, "I understand and I know how crazy it sounds about a town
having a cursed motel and not only that any guy who stays there comes
out a woman or a girl."
Sylvia asked, "What happened in town?"
Danny said, "A Chevy pickup at one of the dealerships were turned red
and hot pink."
Sylvia said, "What?"
Donald said, "Ya, now, you keep your son I mean your daughter out of
school for a day or 2 I would think. Now, you will have to change her
registration information and I believe the faculty will be more than
happy to help you with this though for a resident to happen to is a
rather new thing."
Melonie said, "I feel so much better now that I have Elizabeth and
Jason as my friend."
"They have been born into this craziness."
Donald said, "Hon, find out if there will be school today after this
insanity again."
Regina said, "Let's get home so you can check on your office."
Donald said, "Dang, I almost forgot."
Regina said, "Danny and Sylvia and Melonie, Sandy, and Janet well you
guys really need to unite and you can come over to our place if you
want."
Danny said, "Thank you we just might."
Regina Elizabeth Jason and Donald left the house and Jason and
Elizabeth got in the back seat and Donald held the door open for Regina
and after she got in and he closed the door he got in the other side."
After they got on the road Regina said, "I really feel for Mark who is
now Melonie."
Donald said, "Ya but he I mean she still has her mom and dad Sandy and
Janet are now without a wife and mother well Janet has a mother ok I am
now confusing myself."

Silver Springs and a Chevy pickup at the dealership that is a hot pink
and red. You know I took pics of that pickup."
Elizabeth said, "You didn't. Are you planning to put it on one of the
social media sights?"
Randy laughed and said, "Are you kidding? Too many people will think
this is a hoax or worst yet tell the story outside of this town we
could have all kinds of freaks descend on this town. I don't want this
town to be another version of Roswell."
Jason snorted and said, "Instead of being dressed in alien costumes but
coming dressed as witches."
Elizabeth laughing and saying, "All kinds of weird guys looking for new
girlfriends or wives."
Randy said, "That is all we would need. I heard you have a project
vehicle."
Jason said, "You want to see it?"
Randy said, "Yes."

They walked back and Randy said, "Cool what year is it?"
Jason said, "1976."
Randy asked, "A Landcruiser?"
Jason said, "Ya it was at the junkyard I went and looked at it no rust
and I was able to turn over the motor. Now, I know the motor will have
to be rebuilt started to unbolt the motor from the mounts and was
getting ready to disassemble the heads but you know we have had our
excitement."
Randy asked, "So how did you talk your dad into letting you get this
Landcruiser?"
"I told him I would buy whatever parts this vehicle needs and I am
saving money from mowing lawns and what not."
Randy said, "Oh ok."
Elizabeth said, "Still a piece of junk."
Jason said, "This SUV doesn't have any rust or anything like that."
Elizabeth asked, "Are you really going to get this running?"
Jason said, "Ya by the time I get my license. If not before."
She looked at him and said, "I believe that whenever you set your mind
on something."
They were called and Jason said, "We will be there in a minute."
They went out front and there were Michelle and Alan and Michelle
asked, "Where were you 3?"
Randy said, "Looking at Jason's car."

Donald said, "It is a project a 1975 Toyota Landcruiser. Found it at
the junkyard last year the motor needs rebuilt and various other
things."
Alan said, "Wow, hon lets go look at it."
They went out back and Jason took off the tarp again.
Alan asked, "Where did you get this?"
Jason said, "At the junkyard, last year and it has no rust I have the
motor loosened from the motor mounts."
Alan said, "Nice how much?"
Jason said, "$600."
Alan said, "You stole this one. I have a customer looking for a
Landcruiser between 70 and 79 can't find one in decent shape for less
than $5,000 to restore. I won't tell him you have this one."
Alan looked at the engine and said, "Wow the 3.2 liter six cylinder
that particular motor is a bulletproof good engine."
Donald said, "Really?"
He said, "Yes, it is."
Michelle laughed and said, "If Stephanie gets word of this you may
never get rid of her."
They all laughed and said, "What is she working on?"
Michelle said, "She has a 1973 Suburban project vehicle."
Donald said, "Really? How is she doing?"
Alan said, "She has that 350 rebuilt she will have it at my shop to be
painted in about a month."
Donald said, "Great."
Michelle threw her arm around Randy and her arm around Alan's waist and
said, "I guess it is time for us to leave and we better leave because
Randy is starting to have a limitless appetite."
Regina said." Oh, I am glad it isn't just Jason I feel like I am
permanently at the grocery store."
Michelle laughed and said." You know, now I know how mom felt when I
hit these boys' age."
Regina said." There is one thing he isn't a picky eater."
Michelle said, "Neither is Randy. Goodbye guys we do need to get
together."
Donald said, "Yes we do."
Alan said, "I do have a good smoker maybe I should put some baby back
ribs on it. Put some hickory chips in it."
Donald said, "That sounds delicious."
Alan held the door open for Michelle and then he got in the driver's
side and then he got in the driver's side and Randy got in the back
seat and then started up the car and they pulled into the street and
left for home.
Regina said, "Never a boring moment.'
Donald laughed and said, "No."
Elizabeth said, "I still say we need women to stay in there so men come
out the next day. The girls still outnumber the boys at the school by
about 4 to 1."
Regina laughed and said, "If you say that enough that might get
Adelaide do something about that."
Elizabeth laughed and said, "Sure mom."
They walked in and Regina and Elizabeth started making lunch.
Elizabeth said, "Wow, what a day and no school on top of it."
Regina laughed and said, "The boys will be too distracted at the
thought of new girls."
Elizabeth laughed and said, "Sure."
They fixed sandwiches chips and salad with tea and soft drinks.
They all sat down to eat and Donald asked, "So Jason what are your
plans?"
He said, "Work on the Land Cruiser."
Donald said, "I know I need to get a little work done at the office."
After eating Donald got up and kissed Regina goodbye and headed out the
door.
Jason and Elizabeth helped Regina with the kitchen and dining room and
after finishing up Elizabeth and Regina went to the porch and Jason
went to the backyard.
Elizabeth asked, "How did Jason become such a gearhead?"
Regina laughed and said, "I think he has my persistence. You can call
it persistence or stubbornness."
Elizabeth smiled and said, "OK."
Randy came back and asked, "Where is Jason?"
Elizabeth and Regina pointed towards the back and as Randy went to the
back they both broke out in laughter.
Elizabeth said, "There is one thing he isn't getting in trouble. "
Randy walked back and he said, "Hey dude is this all you are going to
do?"
Jason crawled out from underneath the Landcruiser. and said, "Hey I am
planning to be driving this when I get my license."
Randy said, "I can help."
They started finishing up the motor mounts and crawled up underneath to
disassemble the transmission mounts.
As they were working Danny, Sylvia, Melonie Janet and her mom Sandy
came over.
They came in and Melonie and Janet asked where the guys were and they
were pointed to the back yard.
They went to the back and Janet said, "Nice truck."
Jason and Randy crawled out from underneath the Landcruiser and they
said hi.
Jason said, "Thanks."
Janet said, "We can help."
Jason said, "I don't think so."
Janet asked, "Why because we are now girls?"
Jason said, "No because you are in good dresses. That is like me coming
out here in my good clothes."
Janet laughed and said, "I guess you are right, I am not used to being
a girl."
Jason said, "I understand. How are you adjusting?"
Janet said, "Difficult."
Melonie said, "I guess it is a little easier for me because I still
have mom and dad but still difficult."
Jason asked, "Did either of you have any abilities at car repair?"
Janet said, "I think I do still a little."
Jason said, "Nice, you know get your dad I mean now your mom to get
some jeans and maybe a pair of 1 piece coveralls."
Janet said, "Good idea."
Melonie said, "I can always learn."
Jason said, "Yeah you could."
Janet asked, "Do you think you can be friends with us without expecting
us to be your girlfriends?"
Jason said, "Sure, for now, and we could play it by ear right Randy?"
Randy said, "Yes."
Jason said, "My mom and Randy's mom have been guys when they stayed in
that motel and so has Amy who is the CPA and Stephanie who has a son
and Susan. By the way did you hear what happened at the Chevrolet
dealership.?"
Janet said, "No what?"
Jason said, "One of the new Silverado pickups became a hot pink and
red."
Janet started laughing and said, "No way."
Randy pulled out his phone and showed the picture.
Janet and Melonie were laughing until they had tears in their eyes.
Janet was about 4'11" and weighed about 90 lbs had red hair and blue
eyes and Jason couldn't help but be attracted to her but he promised to
just be friends for now.
Melonie was 5'0 and about 100 lbs and she had blonde hair and blue eyes
and Randy couldn't help but be attracted to her but he was keeping his
promise.
Melonie said, "I am so sorry for what I said."
Jason said, "That is ok in fact when we came back I was relieved to see
you were alright at least seemed to be though Adelaide had plans for
you."
Janet said, "I am glad to have your sister as a friend."
Just as if on cue Elizabeth came out and she told the 2 girls, "I came
out to see that these 2 boys don't make moves on you 2."
They all laughed at the comment and Jason said, "It seems Janet can fix
cars."
Elizabeth said, "Oh did you have to tell my brother that? He will never
leave you alone."
Janet winked at Jason and said, "That is alright you have a cute
brother."
Elizabeth laughed and said, "I am so happy to see your sense of humor."
Jason and Janet laughed and Elizabeth said, "Despite all of my
brother's faults he does make a wonderful friend."
Elizabeth said, "You and Jason make wonderful friends. I am glad to
meet you both. You won't get pressured to go further with him. He will
be happy just to remain friends for as long as you need. Even though he
can be irritating he is a good guy."
Janet laughed and said, "Apparently I will no longer be a boy scout."
Elizabeth said, "You can be a bit distracting as a boy scout now."
Jason said, "Your dad eeer your mom said you got sick what happened?"
Janet said,' I am glad I am not the only one who isn't used to seeing
him I mean her as my mom. Ya, I had really bad stomach cramps. The
cramps came all of a sudden tried at first to ignore them but 20
minutes went by and I couldn't."
Elizabeth asked, "Have you ever had problems with cramping?"
She thought about it and said, "No."
Elizabeth asked, "How far do you think you were camping from here?"
She thought about it for a moment and said, "About 150 miles I
believe."
Elizabeth said, "Interesting."
Janet and Jason asked, "What?"
Elizabeth asked, "How long did you have to wait before your dad I mean
your mom could get to you?"
Janet said, "About 6 hours."
Elizabeth said, "So what time do you think your dad got to you?"
Janet said, "About 3:00 Saturday then I had to be checked on by a
doctor Monday and then left around 9 Monday."
Elizabeth said, "Maybe having your dad and you coming was not by
accident but maybe she casted a spell on you to get cramps."
Jason said, "Really? How did she plan it out for them to come right at
the right time?"
Elizabeth said, "Maybe she didn't but remember Janet was close enough
to know she was there. Remember mom was about 100 to 150 miles from the
motel when that witch woke that motel back up. With mom, she was
sticking to the state highways instead of the interstate same with
Michelle and Amy."
Jason said, "That would be something to find out that Adelaide got
things going instead of waiting for it to happen."
Janet shook her head and said, "Maybe, you should tell my mom and your
parents."
They ran in and Jason said, "Elizabeth has something to tell you about
that motel."
Regina said, "What?"
Elizabeth said, "Janet told me she never cramped like that before."
Regina said, "Sandy just said the same thing."
Elizabeth said, "What if that witch cast the spell to give Janet those
cramps she told me that she was about 150 miles from the motel."
All of a sudden the silence could have been broken by a pin drop.
Sandy said, "She was examined by a physician around 1 then we left
around 3 or 4."
Regina asked, "Wasn't about 3:30 when you saw that highway repaved?"
Elizabeth said, "Yes."
Regina said, "So instead of waiting for a passerby she creates the
passerbys that is scary to think."
Jason said, "You know that theory isn't that insane."
Sandy asked, "Is there a chance that witch set everything up Friday?
That is scary. Well, I see it is time for us to leave. But we are so
happy to gain friends like you and I think Janet and I will be staying
and I will find a job to support us. We need to go back so, Janet and I
can help Sylvia prepare dinner especially after she opened her door to
us."
As they were leaving Sandy and Janet hugged them all and Janet said, "I
am so glad I met you all especially you Jason."
Sandy and Janet got in the Toyota Camry and drove back to Danny and
Sylvia's house."
Donald said, "Strange, I always thought she was like a witch of
opportunity, not a witch that could create an opportunity."
Regina said, "You never knew that?"
"Never thought about it because I thought it was by coincidence that
you, Michelle and Amy came here."
Regina said, "I guess it would look that way."
Regina and Jason and Elizabeth prepared dinner and they all ate dinner.
They all cleared the kitchen and table and Jason and Elizabeth sat
down.
Jason said, "Janet wanted to help us with the Landcruiser and that is
what got Randy and me to quit."
Elizabeth said, "Really?"
Jason said, "Ya, I don't think Sandy would appreciate Janet ruining her
dress so I told her to have Sandy get a pair of coveralls for her."
Elizabeth said, "They can also get jeans at that second-hand store."
Jason said, "I forgot about that."
Elizabeth said, "That is what I did when I painted."
Regina asked, "So what do you think of the newest addition to our
community?"
Elizabeth said, "They are pretty nice and it seems they are adjusting
pretty well."
Regina said, "It seems that Sylvia is accepting her new daughter pretty
well after the initial shock."
Donald said, "Well, I guess it can be pretty shocking your son goes to
bed then wakes up as your daughter."
Regina laughed and said, "I do feel for her."
Donald said, "It seems Danny and Sylvia are pretty strong Danny was
pretty philosophical after seeing everything that happened even when
seeing a Silverado that was a hot pink and red."
Regina laughed and said, "A red and hot pink pickup what a
combination."
All of a sudden Jason's phone had an alert and Jason said, "Randy just
sent the pic of that pickup."
When Jason passed his phone around they all laughed until their sides
ached.
Regina said, "I can't believe that."
Elizabeth said, "I can't either."
Donald said, "Poor Stephanie she just became manager of sales and this
happens."
Regina said, "She became manager of sales?"
Donald said, "Yes the other manager retired. She called him and he came
and looked at it and I guess he just scratched his head."
They talked for 2 more hours and realized it was time for bed.
Regina was brushing out her hair and she said, "This has been really
eventful and one great thing is that Jason is friends with one of the
girls."
Donald said, "I think he will be friends with Melonie. Remember he got
a little irritated when she didn't heed his warning."
Regina said, "You are right."
Donald said, "Besides Randy had his eye on Melonie."
Regina laughed and said, "That may not always be a good thing even
though his Mom is Michelle."
Donald said, "Michelle will probably remind him to take it really
slowly."
Donald stripped down to his boxers and Regina and Donald slid into bed
and kissed each other goodnight.
Regina laid her head on his chest and they both fell asleep.
