Alan said, "That will look good. I believe I can paint it that and a
couple of coats of clear coat for about $1,000 and I would recommend
that especially if you plan to hunt in it."

Stephanie pulled in and she asked, "What is Alan doing here?"
Jason said, "That Landcruiser is finally getting painted."

"A light blue I was hoping Janet would be here because she helped me so

Just as if on cue she was riding her bicycle as fast as she could and
Alan stood there.
Janet came and hugged Jason and she asked, "Is Alan here to take it for
painting?"
Jason said, "Yes."
Randy and Melonie came up the driveway also and Alan waited for them.
Alan asked, "Is everybody here for the sendoff?"
Jason said, "I think so."
Alan got in the Landcruiser and started it up and said, "Runs just like
a Swiss watch. See you later and this Landcruiser will look as good as
it runs."
He pulled out of the driveway and Janet squealed and turned to Jason
and kissed him
Jason looked surprised and said, "Is this relationship going beyond
just friendship?"
She giggled and said, "Wow, I thought you could figure that out with me
here every day."
Elizabeth was laughing and said, "Wow, Jason I knew it was for more
than a couple of months."
They walked inside and Jason had his arm around her waist and Regina
looked at them and was thrilled at what she saw.
She said, "Wow so you 2 are a couple."
Elizabeth laughed and said, "Ya mom Jason was a little slow of catching
on."
Regina said, "Sometimes men have a difficult time of picking up on the
subtleties. So I saw Alan taking your Landcruiser." Have you decided on
the color?"
Jason said, "Ya, I think that light blue that the Landcruisers came out
with in 1975."
Regina said, "Pretty."
Elizabeth said, "It is finally not just a pile of bolts."
Regina said, "Janet you need to drive that Landcruiser occasionally
since you spent all that time helping Jason."
Janet said, "Hmmmmm maybe I should tell my mom to start teaching me to
drive a stick shift."
Regina said, "I can help teach you also."
Jason said, "OK but besides my parents, you would probably be one of
the only people who would be allowed to drive it."
Elizabeth said, "Aaaah mom it looks like we will be seeing a lot of
Janet."
Donald came home and walked inside and saw everybody and he asked, "Is
that Landcruiser going to get painted?"
Jason said, "Yes, I decided on light blue."
Donald said, "Great color with that black seats and dash."
Donald looked at Janet and Jason and said, "Looks like you two are now
a couple."
Jason smiled and said, "I want to take her out."
Donald said, "Great and I wonder about what Sandy would have to say
about that."
Regina said, "Sandy loves the friendship between us and I think she
would approve of Jason and Janet dating."
Jason said, "I will ask her for her permission."
Donald said, "I don't think you 2 will be a Romeo and Juliet story."
Regina laughed and said, "We aren't royalty."
They all laughed at that comment and Regina said, "My sense of humor
can be questionable."
Janet said, "I love it."
The phone rang and Regina answered it and Regina said, "Oh hi Sandy. Is
Janet here oh yes she is. She came here to see that Landcruiser off.
Oh, she told you and you are just wanting to see if she is alright? She
is fine and Jason and Janet's friendship are getting so close. Oh you
saw that and you want to come over sure come on over."
Regina said, "Oh Janet your mom is coming over and she is thrilled
about you and Jason's friendship."
They talked and laughed for another 10 minutes and they saw Sandy
pulling in.
Sandy came up to the porch and Regina told her to come in and Sandy saw
Jason with his arm around Janet's waist.
Sandy said, "Aaaaah that is wonderful."
Jason said, "I really want to take your daughter out to eat or to the
movies if you don't mind."
Sandy said, "Oh I would love for you to date my daughter. In fact,
before that night of that motel, I wanted my son to be the type of
young man that you are."
Jason said, "Thank you, mam, Janet has been so much help with my
Landcruiser."
Sandy laughed and said, "Oh yes we have worked on mowers and cars
together as a father and son."
Janet asked, "What year is your Landcruiser and where is it at?"
Jason said, "Alan took it to get it painted and it is a 1975."
Janet said, "Nice year and oh I did come here for a reason I was coming
over hoping to match you 2 up and I came over and found didn't have to.
Ever since we met Jason I have found that you are such a great young
man and I decided you are the man I wanted my daughter to have a
relationship with."
Jason said, "Thank you and I am glad to be able to have this
relationship with your daughter and you don't have to worry I won't do
anything inappropriate with her."
Sandy said, "I have a feeling you won't. And oh I also finally have a
job opportunity I believe I have had help to set a resume in payroll at
that one plant."
Donald and Regina were impressed and Regina said, "I am so happy with
you."
Sandy said, "It is time to get back to Danny and Sylvia's and I love
supporting Melonie also."
Regina said, "You have become a remarkable woman."
Sandy said, "Oh thank you but it is time for us to leave and by the
way, Danny said to let us know when you want us over."
Donald looked at Regina and said, "We will.'
Sandy and Janet walked out towards the car and got in and left,
Regina said to Jason, "It seems that Sandy was going to match you 2 up
anyway."
Elizabeth said, "Way to go."
Donald said,' Well, who knows we might see a future husband and wife."
Jason said,' Wait till I graduate from high school."
They talked and laughed while preparing dinner.
Little did they know there were a lady and her daughter driving towards
Silversprings and they were about 200 miles from Silversprings.
They put dinner at the table and they sat down at the table. and
started passing food around the table.
All of a sudden Regina sat upright and everybody looked at her and
Donald asked, "Hey honey what is going on?"
Regina said, "I don't know but I have a feeling something is about to
happen. I just can't put my finger on it."
Donald asked, "Something about intuition?"
She said, "You know it is probably nothing."
Donald said, "You know what why don't we take a drive."
They all went out and all of a sudden Elizabeth said, "I don't know if
it is the power of suggestion or delayed intuition but maybe we should
take that drive."
Jason and Elizabeth went in the back seat and Donald held the door open
and Regina got in and then Donald got in the driver's seat
The took off and headed towards the old highway and after 15 minutes
they made it and it was newly paved again.
Elizabeth asked, "Shall we wait and stop them?"
Regina said, "We don't know how far they are all we can do is check to
see if anybody has checked in."
They drove and Regina took out her set of binoculars and they drove to
within 200 yds of the motel and Regina looked and just shook her head.
She said, "That motel is still vacant I just wish I knew where the next
guests are."
Donald turned the car around and they drove home little did they know
that while they were in bed the lady and her daughter would be checking
in that motel
They drove back to the house and Donald got out and let Regina out and
then they went inside.
Regina said, "We have to call a meeting of everybody we know."
Donald said, "Good idea."
Within an hour their house was crowded and Janet asked, "What is going
on?"
Jason said, "That motel is awake again."
Janet gasped and said, "No."
One guest who was there was a man named Joe McConnelly.
He said, "I have just finished refurbishing that motel in town. I can
probably have 1 or 2 rooms used."
He thought about it for a moment and said,' Wait a minute I have a few
cabins that I can spare if they would like to stay in one or 2 of them
they have a kitchenette with refrigerator small stove and oven and a
sink."
She said, "Great but you are new here how do you know about it."
He laughed and said, " I saw what that witch did to that Silverado."
Everybody laughed at that even Stephanie and she said, "That is what
being a sales manager brought me."
Donald said, "I don't think we wouldn't mind helping to help pay for
their expenses."
He said, "Don't worry about it I like the thought of being able to
help."
By the time the meeting adjourned Donald, Regina, Elizabeth and Jason
realized it was time to go to bed.
Regina was brushing out her hair and she said, "I can't believe this no
sooner have we settled down from the last time the motel woke up now we
have to deal with it again."
Donald said, "How many travelers in this area for that flytrap?"
Regina thought about it and she started laughing until she had tears in
her eyes.
She said, "I know those people will probably be checking in while we
are in bed."
She finished brushing her hair out and then they climbed into bed.
Donald and Regina kissed for about 5 minutes and said their goodnights
and Donald and Regina started falling asleep.
As they were falling asleep the mother and her daughter were pulling up
outside the lobby of the hotel.
