Jason is a sophomore and it is a Friday night and he feels the cold

Regina came in and said, "What is wrong dear?"
Jason said, "I am so nervous mom I will be taking Janet out on our
first date. You or dad took us to the movies and what not but now I am
doing this on my own."
Regina said, "Aaah honey, you will do fine."
She straightened out his collar and said, "Now dear go she will be
expecting you."
Now Sandy has a nice house for her and Janet and he was driving his
Landcruiser. He had some flowers and he was dressed in his best clothes
and he rang the doorbell.
The door opened and it was Sandy and she said, "Jason, it is such a
pleasure of seeing you."
He walks in and he asks, "So how has your social life been?"
She said, "Sam and I have started seeing each other."
Jason asked, "Sam? Like Justin's father?"
She said, "Yes, we were talking and I was telling him how Janet and I
were adjusting and told him I was just getting used to being a woman.
Then he took me out for coffee and then the other night we went out for
dinner. He is now managing that print shop in town he has been working
there for about a year and now he manages it."
Jason said, "Wow, I am impressed. So are you dating as friends?"
Sandy said, "Yes, you know it feels so good and to be able to go out as
friends is such a nice thing. For us to be able to talk about the
things that we have in common."
Jason said, "Nice, it is kind of twisted that we look we look towards
the curse of that motel for a possible relationship."
Sandy laughed until she had tears in her eyes and she said, "That motel
does give us a little bit of a different sense of humor."
Jason said, "Oh yes but then we have to have it because that motel just
wakes up and well changes genders to anybody who stays there."
After a few minutes, Janet came downstairs and she looked absolutely
radiant wearing a sleeveless yellow skirt that came down just above her
knees.
When she saw Jason she ran over and hugged his neck tightly and she
whispered, "I think I am falling in love with you."
Jason said, "I might be falling in love with you.'
Sandy brought out her digital camera and took their pictures.
Jason said, "We should be back by 11 tonight."
Sandy said, "That will be wonderful."
They held hands on their way out to the Landcruiser and he opened the
door for her and he got in the Landcruiser on the other side.
He started it up and she said, "If we make it through high school
together I would love for us to marry."
He said, "Let's see what happens that is still a good 3 years for now
but I do love you."
She said, "You know you are absolutely right you may not want me.'
He said, "I can't see that happening just a lot can happen by then,"
They drove to their scheduled dance where there was food offered also.
He got out of the Landcruiser and he held the door open and helped
Janet out of it and he offered his arm to her and she took it. As they
walked up to the door he opened it for her and as she went in she
kissed him and then they went in and they walked up to the buffet table
and they got their food and went to the table and he held the chair for
her and then helped her to the table.
As they were eating a guy named Billy Edwards came up to the table and
said, "Hey Jason and is this Janet?"
She said, "Yes."
He said, "Nice seeing you and you are looking good, Hey, Jason what
about your Toyota what is it?"
Jason said, "Landcruiser ya drove it here."
Billy said, "Cool well, I know you guys would prefer to have this time
for yourselves."
As he walked off Janet asked, "Doesn't he know I went to that motel?"
Jason laughed and said, "Ya, but he has lived here for 10 years.
Remember anybody outside of this town would think we are weird."
She laughed and said, "OK, well you know what weird is good."
He laughed so hard he had to swallow his food.
They finished their food and they went up for a slow dance and he
whispered, "I do love you."
They danced the first set of music and they went and got some non-
alcoholic cold drinks and Randy and Melonie came over and so did
Elizabeth and Justin.
Elizabeth said, "You two look so good together."
Jason gave Justin a high-5 and said, "I am glad to see you with my
sister."
Justin said, "Thank you it still feels kind of strange with another guy
giving me a high 5."
Jason said, "I think I can understand. So does it feel strange coming
out here at a dance with my sister?"
Justin said, "Yes, like I am a lesbian or something."
Jason laughed and said, "I think mom was thinking that she was gay on
the first few dates with dad. I guess just keep glancing in a mirror to
remind yourself that you are a guy. You and your dad are the first ones
we know of that checked in that motel as a woman and her daughter and
coming out man and son. You might be able to teach my sister a thing or
2 since you went to a dance recital."
Elizabeth pinched his arm and said, "He is a wonderful dancer but I am
going to get you back. Melonie, he still has an ornery side.'
They all laughed and Janet said, "That may be but I still love him."
Elizabeth said, "Your life will never be boring with him"
Randy said, "We all grew up together and I am still trying to get my
car running."
Jason asked, "What kind?"
Randy said, "A 1975 Camaro Z28 a great thing about it, it has a
standard 350 so parts are plentiful."
Jason asked, "So what did you drive?"
Randy said, "One of dad's old shop trucks, it is a 1971 F100."
Jason asked, "Is it that light blue f-100 with the 347 stroker engine?"
Randy said, "Yes, dad told me he had eyes and ears all over town and he
put a restrictor plate under the carburetor."
Jason and Janet laughed and Jason said, "Smart. That stroker motor has
over 500 hp now that restrictor plate will raise the carburetor about
3" from the intake heads decreasing the horsepower but it still has
close to 400 hp."
Melonie said, "The interior is beautiful I love that bench seat."
Janet said, "That is one disadvantage of that Landcruiser it has
buckets."
Jason said, "I might be able to do something about that I found out you
can get split bench seats for 1970 to 1976 Landcruiser can probably do
that after saving up some money. It will require some adapting but I
think I can."
The music started and they danced and Janet and Jason loved every
moment together.
The next thing Jason looked at his watch and saw it was about 10:40 and
he whispered." It is already 10:40 we better go."
She kissed him and said, "Let's go honey."
He took her hand and they waved goodbye to everybody and he held the
door open for her.
They walked out to his Toyota and he held the passenger door open for
her and he climbed in and he closed the door behind her and got into
the driver's seat and started it up.
She said, "I know we still have some time to get through high school
but I know for now I couldn't see myself spending my life with anybody
but you."
Jason said, "For now, I can't picture myself living with anybody but
you either and hopefully after high school, I can be proposing to you."
She said, "So shall we see what the future brings us?"
Jason said, "Let's see what the future brings us."
He got to Sandy's and Janet's house and he went and held the door open
for her and she got out.
They walked up to her house and he held the door open and they kissed
for about 4 minutes and Sandy came.
She asked, "What time are you scheduled to be home?"
Jason said, "11."
Sandy said, "I would suggest you call your house and let your parents
know you are on your way home."
He asked, "What time is it?"
Sandy said, "11."
He said, "Darn, ya can I use your phone?"
Sandy smiled and said, "Yes you can."
He walked in and saw Sam and he said hi and went to the phone.
He called the house and his mom answered on the 3d ring.
He said, "Mom, I am later than I thought but I am here at Sandy and
Janet's house and I am on the way home."
Regina said, "Oh honey, I wasn't too worried and take your time. How
are Sandy and Janet?"
Jason replied, "Looks like Sam is visiting Sandy."
Sandy said, "Great, those 2 should do really well together. Take your
time and tell me about the dance and everything when you get back."
He said goodbye and hung up the phone.
She said, "Everything good?"
Jason said, "Ya, I think I will leave and Janet I loved tonight."
Janet said, "I loved tonight also."
Jason left and he climbed into his suv and started it up and put it in
gear and left and he got home about 10 minutes later.
He got out then he went inside and saw Regina and she hugged him.
She asked, "So how was the dance?"
He said, "It was great and I have to say I am in love with her."
Regina said, "I thought you 2 were in love with each other and I think
it is great."
Jason said, "She is absolutely beautiful."
Elizabeth and Justin came in and Elizabeth said, "I am sorry we are
late."
Regina said, "Oh, no problem and Justin your father is with Sandy."
He smiled and said, "Nice.'
Regina asked, "Jason, do you think you might marry her?"
He said, "Maybe after high school, I will have to see if we are still
together."
Regina hugged him and said, "That is a great idea. So Elizabeth how is
it going between you and Justin?"
Elizabeth smiled and said, "Wow, does he have some moves out on the
dance floor and the girls are trying to claw their way to him. But, it
is going so well between us now are we still just friends we will have
to see."
Regina said, "Well, a boy that knows how to dance I bet the girls are
trying to get to him. I am glad he has eyes only for you.'
Jason said, "Mom, goodnight I do love you but I am sleepy."
Regina hugged him and said, "Good night and you can tell your dad all
about your date."
Jason went to his bedroom and stripped down to his boxers and climbed
into bed and thinking about Janet. Then he slowly went to sleep and
little did he know Janet and he would be marrying after he graduated
from vocational school.
