The Model
Sam Edwards adjusted the seat into a more reclined position and reached
out for the glass of Champaign that the attractive stewardess had brought
him shortly after takeoff. He sighed with satisfaction as he took a sip,
relishing the comfort of the First Class section of the British Airways
747 homebound for London. He leaned forward to replace the glass on the
pullout table and as he did so he felt the thud of the medal against his
chest. The Olympic team was returning home on a special chartered flight
and all gold medal winners were automatically upgraded to First Class.
The Final
As Sam sat in the changing room at the Olympic boxing center he was
almost surprised at how calm he felt. By contrast his two trainers seemed
tense and apprehensive. Sam was amused at how often they would quickly
glance across the room at his opponent who glowered back at them. They
had good reason to be concerned. Oraz Abdulin had gained a fearsome
reputation as a result of his complete destruction of his opponents in
the preliminary bouts. Fighters from Kazakhstan had a well-earned
reputation for toughness but Abdulin took this to a new level. His 5 foot
9 inch frame was heavily muscled and in his earlier fights he had seemed
impervious to the punches his opponents had managed to land before being
overwhelmed by his clubbing blows. By contrast Sam was tall for a
middleweight at 6 foot 1 inches with a slim physique. Most of the experts
were predicting a win, probably inside the distance, for the Kazakhstan
fighter. The feeling was that Sam's only chance was to use his long reach
to stay away from his formidable opponent. However Sam was something of
an unknown quantity in the top rank of amateur boxing and while he was a
superb boxer he also had a priceless quality that cannot be taught; Sam
could hit; very hard and very often. His jab had been likened to a
lizard's tongue flashing out to catch a fly. However he preferred to win
his bouts using his boxing skills rather than his hitting power.
An Olympic official came across to the Kazakhstan group and announced
that it was time for them to go to the ring. As he left Abdulin gave one
final sneer in Sam's direction and swaggered off.
"Cocky bastard," growled Terry Hay, one of Sam's trainers. "You okay
Sam?"
"Never better," replied Sam, "the more he under estimates me the better.
Relax Terry, this one won't go the distance; I'm going to take him
apart."
Terry looked surprised. "Good lad, that's the spirit," he said, but his
voice lacked a little conviction.
Sam laughed and said, "I mean it Terry, just watch me."
Just then the same official returned to the changing room and gestured to
the British team that it was time for their entry. Sam walked slowly out
of the room and paused for a moment to savour the atmosphere in the
stadium and feel the buzz of excitement running through the crowd. Sam
always relished the walk to the ring, feeling all eyes focused on him.
Unlike many fighter who like to bounce and shadow box as they make their
way through the crowd, Sam was as unobtrusive as possible, looking
straight ahead and moving with easy grace. He climbed the 3 steps and
ducked under the ropes into the ring. Abdulin was over in the blue corner
doing a combination of a furious shadow boxing session and a war dance;
he was a study in barely suppressed violence.
The two fighters were called to the center of the ring to receive their
instructions from the referee. Abdulin tried staring into Sam's eyes
hoping to intimidate, but Sam focused his gaze at a point above his
opponents head. Just as they were about to return to their respective
corners, Abdulin leaned forwards and whispered, "Tonight I kill you,
sissy, girlie boy." Sam pretended to look scared but in reality he had to
use all his control to prevent himself from laughing.
When the bell sounded Abdulin immediately went onto the attack throwing
combinations of rights and lefts that Sam either avoided or took on his
gloves. Sam responded with light jabs, all the time moving backwards and
creating the impression that he feared his opponent. This enhanced
Abdulin's confidence and he began to stalk his prey more aggressively.
Half way through the round Sam suddenly changed tactics; instead of
retreating, he stepped into Abdulin and landed a left, right combination
which snapped the Kazakhstan fighter's head back. For the next minute Sam
continued to fire accurate volleys with great speed at his frustrated
opponent. They were in a clinch as the bell sounded to end the round. As
they parted Sam stared into his opponents eyes. It was an almost
disdainful look as though saying "Is that the best you've got?" Back in
his corner Abdulin's seconds spoke urgently to their fighter.
"This guys no pussy, you are going to have to be more clinical," exhorted
his coach.
In Sam's corner Terry said, "Good start Sam, but don't get into it with
him; box him, stay away."
"That's exactly what he wants me to do," said Sam, "I'm going to hurt
him; he's not expecting that."
At the start of the second round Sam went immediately onto the attack,
snapping sharp left hands into Abdulin's face, while staying out of reach
of his increasingly frantic attacks. Finally Abdulin succeeded in getting
inside where he was typically able to do his most savage work. Perhaps
his excitement made him a little careless because for a second he left
his abdomen exposed long enough for Sam's left hand moving upwards in a
short arc to catch him just below the sternum and as he buckled slightly,
a right uppercut clipped his jaw and sent him to the canvas. He rose and
after a compulsory count of 8 seconds resumed the fight. But now Sam had
become the aggressor driving Abdulin across the ring and with left and
right combinations delivered at dizzying speed. Just when Abdulin thought
things could not get worse they did. Sam backed off a little as though
resting. This encouraged Abdulin to launch a counter attack. Sam met him
head on and landed two punches for everyone Abdulin threw. Soon Sam had
his man pinned to the ropes where he continued to fire volleys of punches
most of which found their mark. The referee had seen enough and just as
Abdulin began to slide down the ropes onto the canvas, his face a mask of
confusion and disbelief, the referee stepped between them, waving Sam to
a neutral corner and spreading his arms to indicate he was stopping the
contest. Sam felt himself mobbed by his 2 trainers as he realized he was
the Olympic champion.
After the result was announced and Sam's arm was raised the two fighters
briefly came together. Abdulin was unable to meet Sam's gaze. "I think I
kill myself," he muttered thickly, "I will be always known as the one who
lost the Olympic final to a guy who wears dresses."
"Only the best dresses," said Sam as he left the ring.
The Flight
Sam's reverie was suddenly broken by a quiet voice.
"Excuse me Mr. Edwards."
He looked up and saw one of the flight attendants standing over him. She
was an attractive woman in her mid-forties and she was holding a copy of
Vogue. As Sam looked more closely he noticed that it featured a picture
of him on the cover.
"Mr. Edwards, I wonder if I could ask you a great favour," whispered the
attendant. Sam smiled encouragingly and the woman went on, "My son is a
great admirer of yours." She paused for a moment and then said quickly,
"Jamie has recently told us that he is transgender and he or rather she,
is having a really difficult time. It would mean so much to her if you
would sign this magazine; she's only 15 and is struggling at school."
Sam took the magazine and smiled when he saw the cover which showed him
wearing a ball gown by one of Europe's leading designers. Instead of a
necklace a pair of boxing gloves hung from his neck. Sam took the offered
pen and wrote, "To Jamie, always stay true to yourself and follow your
dreams." He signed his name in big letters and handed back the magazine.
"What school does Jamie go to?" asked Sam.
"Taylor's Comprehensive," answered the flight attendant.
Sam scribbled on a piece of paper and handed it to the woman. "Here are
my contact details, perhaps you can arrange for me to visit the school
and talk to the kids; you never know it might help Jamie."
The flight attendant burst into tears of gratitude and thanked Sam
profusely. After she had gone clutching the precious magazine Sam lowered
his seat, pulled the blanket up and settled down to sleep. As he was
drifting off his mind went back to 18 months earlier when his life
suddenly changed.
The Beginning
Josie and Sam had been together for just over 2 years and they lived in a
small flat in North London.
Josie was a student at London's leading fashion college. She was nearing
the end of her second year and was faced with her largest and most
important assignment. She was required to design and make a dress for the
college's annual fashion show. Her instructor had told the students that
their dress and its presentation had to be original in design and theme.
Josie had been lying in bed one night idly watching her boyfriend Sam
undress. Although they had been together for over 2 years she still found
herself excited by the sight of Sam's lean, muscled body. Sam worked part
time as a fitness instructor at a community center, but most of his time
was spent training with the British Olympic Boxing squad. As Sam undid
the band holding his pony tail, allowing his long dark hair to fall
around his shoulders, Josie was struck with a sudden idea. She lay there
deep in thought while Sam was in the bathroom and when he emerged he was
surprised and delighted to see that Josie was wearing a very sexy black
nightgown and a very coquettish expression on her face.
"Sammy darling why don't you come to bed," she cooed. "Such a hard day,
so tired."
Sam slid onto the bed and reached out a hand to Josie's breast. He
caressed it gently as she lay still. His other hand began to explore her
satin clad body and she began to breathe more deeply. Suddenly he reached
around her shoulders and pulled her towards himself and suddenly rolled
onto his back so that Josie was on top. She lifted up so that she was
sitting over his hips and slowly spread the skirt of her nightgown over
his body.
"Do you like being under my dress Sammy," she whispered. Sam nodded
silently.
"That's good," continued Josie, "because that is where you belong."
She reached down and taking hold of Sam's very erect penis slid it inside
herself and began to ride him, slowly at first and then with increasing
fervour. They both climaxed together and Josie fell across Sam's body and
lay still. After several minutes Sam began to wriggle down the bed until
his mouth was directly under Josie's dripping pussy. He slowly began to
lick her and when he sensed her getting close he thrust his tongue deep
inside her and she screamed at the intensity of the second orgasm.
They lay there not speaking for a long time. Eventually Josie said,
"Sammy darling I was supposed to seduce you."
"I know my love but you didn't need to, I would be only too pleased to
wear your dress to your big presentation."
Josie stiffened in amazement and gasped, "Sammy you must be a witch, how
could you possibly know what I was going to ask?"
Sam chuckled and said, "I'm always having to predict what my opponent is
going to do and compared to them you are not very subtle."
"Am I an opponent then?" asked Josie, making a mock pout.
"No my love; if you were I wouldn't stand a chance."
"But how did you know?" persisted Josie.
"Let's see," said Sam tapping each finger in turn. "One, you have been
obsessing about this assignment for weeks, two you have been trying to
come up with an original idea, something that no one else will think of;
three you seemed especially distant tonight until you saw me stripping
off and then you gave a little start." Sam paused for a moment and gently
stroked Josie's cheek. "Four you suddenly staged your little scene of
seduction, making sexy comments about me belonging under your dress. I
just connected the dots."
"You'll really do it?" asked Josie almost in disbelief.
"Josie, I'd crawl over broken glass for you, of course I will wear your
dress; after all I will be able to tell our grandchildren how I helped
launch your spectacular career."
Josie was so overcome with emotion that she buried her head in Sam's
shoulder and began to cry softly. Sam hugged her closely and made
comforting noises.
After she recovered Josie turned and looked at Sam. "Sam darling I don't
know how to thank you, it's really very brave of you."
"Nah," said Sam dismissively, "It won't be the first time I've worn a
dress in public."
"I think you had better tell me," said Josie with interest.
"Well," began Sam, "You know that my brother Kyle is gay."
Josie nodded.
"Kyle was different, even as a young kid. Other kids pick up on this at
an early age and things got worse as he became a teenager. We grew up in
a pretty rough area which was not ideal for him. When he was about 15
things got a lot worse. A couple of blokes in the area, real scumbags,
who fancied themselves as hard men, took special delight in making his
life hell. Kyle never said anything and I was so wrapped up with my
boxing that I didn't notice. It was my sister, Sophie, Kyle's twin who
told me what was going on. That same day Kyle came home and he was
wearing a skirt and had been giving a real working over. He was so
distraught that it took Sophie and me ages to calm him down but
eventually the story came out. These two scumbags had ambushed him on the
way home from school, dragged him into an alley, beaten him up and then
pulled his pants off and replaced them with a skirt. They told him never
to wear pants again because he was a faggot and faggots should only wear
skirts and dresses. We stayed with him until Mum got home and then she
took over. I pulled Sophie aside and told her what we were going to do.
She was taken back at first but after a moment she said she would do
whatever it would take to help Kyle. The next day she went to a charity
shop and bought me a dress, something very flowery and girlie. She put
some crude makeup on me, not quite like Heath Ledger in the Batman movie,
but not very polished. We set off to the local chip shop where the teen
age kids used to hang out. Sure enough the pair of them were there
putting on a show, acting tough. They didn't know me because I was never
around, so they didn't expect anything.
"It's another fucking faggot," one of them yelled and made a grab for me.
I was far too quick and dashed into the shop and made for the back
entrance. As I had hoped, one of them followed me and the other raced
around the side of the shop which bordered an alley that had a dead end.
All the kids piled into the alley completely blocking it so there was no
escape. By the time I'd finished my knuckles were split and bleeding and
they were begging for me to stop. Of course Sophie filmed the whole thing
on her phone and I told them that if anyone in the area touched Kyle
again the video was going on every social media outlet and I would really
come after them. Kyle was never bullied again."
Sam stopped for a while, pulled Josie closer for a long kiss and when
they parted said, "So that's how I became a cross dresser."
Josie slowly rolled on top of him and they made love again.
Josie Completes Her Assignment
"Sam for goodness sake keep still. This job is hard enough without having
you fidgeting all the time," said Josie as she struggled to place a pin
in the hemline.
"How much longer are you going to be," complained her boyfriend, "it
feels as though you have been at it for hours."
"Oh don't be such a baby; we've only been doing this for three quarters
of an hour," replied Josie as she aimed another pin in the direction of
the moving hemline.
"Ow," cried Sam, as the pin went further than intended. "You did that on
purpose," he said rubbing his calf.
"Shit," swore Josie, "I don't want blood all over the fabric; hold on
while I put a plaster on it."
"Oh yes the fabric is far more important than me bleeding to death," said
Sam bitterly. "I wish I'd never agreed to this crazy idea."
"Too late now," replied Josie with a grin. "I'm almost done darling and I
do really appreciate you doing this, you're the greatest."
"That title has already been used and he didn't earn it by modeling
dresses for his girlfriend," said Sam.
"Well that just shows you are a better person Sammi and far prettier,"
said Josie smugly. She made a few more adjustments and then stood back to
examine her work. "Perfect," she declared with satisfaction, "You are
going to look fantastic and I am going to get a really good mark. Who
knows this dress may just help to launch my career."
"Can I look now?" asked Sam.
"No," replied Josie firmly, "you are not looking until the evening of the
presentation when I've finished all your makeup and accessories. And
don't you dare try it on when I'm not here."
"Okay I'll try to restrain myself," said Sam with a grin.
Wednesday was Josie's big night and she was as jumpy as an under
exercised Border collie. She sat fidgeting as Sam showered and washed his
hair. She helped him dry it and brush it out so that it fell in a long
straight torrent around his shoulders. Next she sat him down and began to
apply his makeup. Although Sam's features were dark he had surprisingly
little facial hair. Apparently there had been some Asian blood in his
recent ancestors and the lack of facial hair seemed quite developed in
Sam's case. Josie was only applying enough makeup for him to pass as a
woman; the real work would be done by the team of trainee makeup artists
from a local beauty school. At last she was satisfied and she handed Sam
a pair of silky black panties which fitted him firmly enough to keep his
equipment in check. A matching frilly bra was next and she kissed her
lover lightly on the lips before moving over to the locked closet.
"Close your eyes Sammy," she cooed as she took the dress out of the
closet and carefully lowered it over Sam's body. She slowly pulled the
zip closed and stepped back to survey her work. "Keep them closed," she
warned as she guided Sam over to the full length mirror.
"Okay you can open them now."
Sam did and gasped in amazement at the figure before him. She was
stunningly beautiful, tall and muscular but definitely all girl.
"You like?" asked Josie with giggle.
Sam was unable to speak for a few moments. Finally he whispered, "She's
beautiful."
"She's you, Sammi darling," said Josie standing beside him as they both
stared into the mirror. The dress was dark blue and came just below the
knee. It was made from a soft heavy fabric which made the skirt swirl
with even gentle movement. Josie had intended this dress to move because
she had designed it with diagonal patterns of gorgeous flowers on the top
and skirt. As the skirt swished from side to side the flowers appeared to
cascade out and disappear again as the plain pleats overrode them. The
top ended in a broad sash that when tied fell down the side of the dress.
Josie had Sam demonstrate some of the moves they had rehearsed for his
entry and Josie squealed in delight at the effect.
"Oh Sammi it's just perfect, I know we are going to be a success," she
sighed.
Sam looked at her with love and said, "Ready when you are my sweet."
The Fashion Show
Josie carefully helped Sam out of the dress and put it in a garment bag
which she hung from a hook in the back of the door. She went back to her
closet and emerged with a black and white patterned dress and handed it
to Sam. He looked at her questioningly and she said, "It's best if you
stay in character Sammi darling."
Sam smiled and pulled it over his head and smoothed the skirt down over
his knees. He stepped into a black pair of low heeled shoes that Josie
had bought him online and put his arms into a light weight calf length
coat that they had bought at a charity shop. Sam and Josie exchanged soft
kisses, Sam grabbed a duffle bag and Josie took the dress and they headed
out to the nearest Underground. If Sam felt any apprehension about being
read as a man he did not show it, much to Josie's amazement. Their
journey was only 4 stops on the Northern Line followed by a short walk to
the school. Once inside Josie led the way to the auditorium which was
starting to fill with students and their families. The show was one of
the most anticipated evenings in the school year and always featured a
full house. Josie pointed out the raised runway which ended in a small
stage; about the size of a boxing ring Sam noted. Josie then guided Sam
back stage where a number of the students, mostly girls, were gathered.
She sought out the stage manager and received her starting position which
was in the final third of the programme. Next she went upstairs and spoke
at length with the director of lighting and sound, making sure that they
knew exactly what she wanted for Sam's routine. The show was expected to
last almost 2 hours so Josie and Sam went back into the auditorium and
found seats in the section reserved for the students and their models.
Josie gripped Sam's hand. "Are you nervous Sammi darling?" she asked.
"A bit," he admitted, "it's mostly that I don't want to screw up and ruin
your big moment."
Josie gave Sam's hand another squeeze. "I know you won't let me down,"
she said.
Just then the lights dimmed and the MC who was a fashion correspondent
and TV presenter appeared on the stage and introduced the evening. She
said how excited she was to be part of a fashion show featuring the
emerging talent from the school who would be making their first venture
into the world of design and fashion.
"And now Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome our first model wearing an
outfit designed by Eve Seldon."
There was a flutter of applause and the sound system came to life with
the theme music from "The Office" and a tall leggy model sashayed down
the runway wearing a dress made up completely of neck ties, the skirt of
which parted in an alluring manner as the model swayed and posed as
though taking dictation. The audience loved it and the model and Eve were
greeted with enthusiasm. After watching one more entry Josie took Sam's
arm and whispered, "Time to go now darling, the girls will be ready for
us." And they crept out of the auditorium and made their way to the
dressing area.
A woman at the door checked Josie's name from a list and ushered them
inside. Sam almost recoiled as he entered a sea of femininity. The room
was full of girls being fussed over by a small army of attendants who
applied makeup meticulously and styled already beautiful hair. Two of
Josie's friends were waiting for them and all 4 made their way over to a
vacant chair where Sam was seized upon by a posse of excited teenage
trainees. Tense at first he quickly decided to just relax and enjoy the
experience. While one girl brushed and styled his hair another after
listening carefully to Josie's instruction began his makeup and a third
glued long glittery extension to his nails.
"Starting to feel girlie Sammi?" asked Josie with a giggle.
"I'm starting to feel wonderful," replied Sam as he reclined in the
chair.
After about 30 minutes Josie, who was scrutinizing proceedings intently,
announced that she was satisfied and one of the girls turned the chair
around and gave Sam his first view of his new persona. He had been
astounded with the effect of Josie's makeup efforts at their flat but as
he looked at the startled face gazing back at him in the mirror his mouth
dropped open and he stared in silence too stunned to speak. Josie had
planned a brooding, sultry look and Sam's naturally dark features, long
straight hair and the extravagant makeup was better than she could have
hoped. The sultry, sexy look was there, but there was something else;
just a hint of menace in those dark eyes.
"Oh Sammi," was all she could say.
The makeup girls soon put an end to Sam and Josie's day dreaming as they
had other models to prepare. Sam, Josie and her friends were directed
over to the dressing area. Sam felt himself harden inside his panties as
he moved through the mass of models and their attendants in various
stages of dressing and undressing. With an effort he brought himself
under control as Josie took the dress out of the garment and held it
while Sam stepped into it. Josie slowly zipped it up and as the zip
reached the top she whispered in his ear, "You are really a girl now
Sammi, I think I like you in dresses; maybe I'll keep you in them as my
pretty lesbian lover."
"Stop it," hissed Sam, "You are making me hard. If you keep that up I'm
going to come in your dress."
Josie giggled and said, "Oh no Sammi it's your dress now."
Before Sam could reply a woman came over and said to Josie, "5 minutes
Miss Grey."
Josie and her friends hurriedly finished assembling the rest of Sam's
costume and they made their way out to the main backstage area. There was
one girl ahead of them and as they stepped in behind her a model swept in
from the auditorium and suddenly they were the next in line. Josie paced
nervously but Sam appeared quite placid and calm and as the returning
model entered the backstage, Sam turned to the two girls accompanying him
and said, "Let's go girls, let's nail this for Josie."
Josie looked out through a gap in the stage curtain her fists clenched in
nervous tension. She saw the lights dim and then as the theme from Rocky
began to swell through the auditorium a spot light picked out Sam and his
2 attendants. He was wearing a hooded robe which obscured his features
and completely covered his dress. He began to sway down the runway in the
familiar boxer's entry. His two attendants dressed simply in dark pants
and white T-shirts followed behind him. The audience fell silent as this
entry was obviously different. When Sam reached the stage some wonderful
work by the lighting and special effects crew had created the image of a
boxing ring and Sam made the pretence of stepping through the ropes. With
perfect timing his 2 assistants pulled off his robe just as the music
switched to Mascagni's Intermezzo, the theme music for Raging Bull. Sam
began to shadow box and it was then that the dress was revealed in all
its glory. Sam moved with a dancers grace and speed and the dress
appeared to come to life. With every twirl a shower of flowers rippled
down the skirt. Whenever the hem lifted up the snow white lace edged slip
Sam was wearing burst out from under the dress. It was a stunning
performance; the beauty of the dress and the model contrasted with the
menace of Sam's movements. One of Josie's artist friends had taken a pair
of Sam's high laced boxing boots and cleverly painted them so that they
appeared to have high heels. When Sam performed a fabulous version of the
"Ali Shuffle," there was an involuntary roar from the audience. At the
conclusion of his routine Sam raised both hands overhead in a victory
salute and accompanied by his attendants ducked under the illusory ropes
and danced back up the catwalk. As he made his exit the audience rose in
a spontaneous ovation that lasted a full minute. As he came through to
the back stage Josie flung herself at him and with tears streaming down
her face enveloped him in a crushing hug.
"Oh Sammi," she managed to say when she had recovered, "you were
absolutely amazing; thank you thank you. Oh Sammi I love you so much."
When eventually they parted the three girls accompanied Sam through to
the changing area and helped him out of the dress. As Sam put on the
patterned dress he had worn to the school Josie put her creation back
into the garment bag and firmly attached a label with her name and
student number before handing it in to one of her supervisors.
The woman smiled warmly and said, "That was wonderful Josie,
congratulations."
Sam and the girls went back into the auditorium to watch the final
presentations after which they headed out into the street still buzzing
with excitement.
"Let's have a drink to celebrate," said Josie as they started to pass
"The Scholar's Arms", the pub most popular with the design school
students. The pub was starting to fill with students from the show but
just as they entered two couples left and they quickly grabbed the vacant
table.
"I'm buying," declared Josie. "What are you all having?"
Her friends Jill and Leanne both chose vodka cocktails. Josie looked at
Sam expectantly. He thought for a moment and then said, "Well considering
how I'm dressed I think it should be something girlie."
They all giggled, including Sam. Josie left for the bar and returned a
few minutes later carefully carrying 4 drinks.
"What's this then?" asked Sam as he eyed his glass.
"A Cosmopolitan," replied Josie with a smirk.
They clinked glasses and settled down to some very animated conversation
about the show.
Another round of drinks followed and then another. By this time they were
laughing and giggling almost constantly.
"Well Sammi how are you enjoying being a girl?" asked Leanne taking a
slurp from her glass.
Sam thought for a moment and then replied, "I think there is a lot more
about being a girl than wearing a dress. But I have loved every minute of
this evening and I don't care if you think I'm weird, but I actually
loved wearing Josie's dress." Sam raised his glass and said, "Here's to
girls and dresses."
The other 3 cheered and repeated the toast and Josie gave Sam a hug and
kiss. Just then a voice cut in and said, "He would you girls like to join
us for a drink?"
They looked up and saw 4 city type men grinning down at them. "Sorry boys
this I strictly a girls night," said Josie with a sweet smile.
As the 4 moved away Jill leaned across and said, "Well Sammi I guess that
makes it official; you're a girl."
"I'll drink to that and then I need to pee," said Sam raising his glass
again.
They clinked glasses again and Josie said, "I'll come with you," and they
both walked a little unsteadily to the Ladies. Once inside Josie and Sam
dissolved into a fit off giggles and it was some time before Josie pushed
Sam into a stall and reminded him to sit. They met again at the
washbasins and resumed their giggling.
They joined the other girls and reluctantly decided to call it a night.
Once outside they were fortunate to quickly hail a taxi and enjoyed a
very lively ride home dropping Jill and Leanne off on the way. Once
inside they made their way upstairs and Josie had a quick shower before
helping Sam remove his makeup. When Sam came back into the bedroom he was
delighted to see Josie wearing her sexy black night dress. As he started
to climb into bed she reached under her pillow and with a grin handed him
a matching nightdress in white. He put it on without hesitation and they
made passionate love before falling asleep in a tangle of arms, legs and
satin.
After the Show
Josie woke first the next morning and for a moment was surprised to see
Sam sleeping peacefully next to her wearing a nightdress. She then
remembered the events of the previous evening and her face broke into a
smile. She was still smiling when Sam woke and as soon as he became more
focused she began to stroke him. Her soft touch and the even softer satin
worked its magic and it was another hour before they finally got up. Sam
was expected in the gym so after a quick breakfast he headed out. Josie
did not have any classes till the afternoon so she spent the morning
lounging around the flat with a big smile on her face. Sam by contrast
spent his time sparring in the gym and doing pad work with one of his
trainers.
"What you do last night mate?" asked one of his fellow boxers during a
brief break in sparring.
Sam thought for a moment and then smiled. "Oh nothing special, me and
Josie just went out to a show and then the pub."
When he resumed in the ring his trainer noted that his footwork and glove
work was particularly sharp.
A week later Val Soames, Josie's senior design tutor was sitting in her
office with an old friend. Her name was Ellie Dean and she was an
internationally renowned designer. Normally she liked to attend the
school's annual fashion show but this year she had an emergency meeting
in Los Angles and uncharacteristically had forgotten to send one of her
assistants. She and Val were studying the video of the show and when they
got to Josie's entry Ellie said, "Stop, I want to see that again."
Val replayed the scene, not just once but three times and Ellie just sat
there staring at the screen.
"Well what do you think?" said Val, breaking the silence.
"She's sensational," whispered Ellie.
"One of our best students," said Val. "Do you think you can find a place
for her?"
"Oh yes I'm sure I can, I like her design a lot." She paused and then
said, "Val I think we may have found the next super model."
Half an hour later Val's teaching assistant tracked Josie down in the
cafeteria and told her that Val wanted to see her in her office right
away. Josie emerged an hour later in a state of shock. As she was leaving
Val called after her, "Oh by the way Josie, you got an A for the
assignment." But it barely registered.
Back at the flat Josie kept looking out of the window and pacing up and
down the hallway waiting for Sam's return. When he finally came up the
path she rushed out to greet him. She enveloped him in a huge hug while
jumping up and down in sheer excitement. "Sam I got an A, I got an A."
Sam returned the hug a lifted her off her feet and carried her into the
flat. "Oh my God Josie, I am so proud of you."
When he put her down Josie looked up at him and said, "There's more Sam.
There is a lot more and I can hardly believe it."
Sam looked at her inquiringly; she was silent for a moment and then she
burst out, "Sam I met Ellie Dean and she's going to offer me a place in
her design studio; can you believe it?"
Josie continued to bounce around the flat for several minutes, stopping
every now and then to hug and kiss Sam. After she had finally calmed down
Sam insisted on taking her out for a drink to celebrate. They managed to
find a quiet corner table at a local pub. Sam bought a Cosmopolitan for
Josie and a half pint of Guinness for himself.
"Have to watch my weight," he said when Josie questioned his choice.
They continued to talk excitedly about Josie's news and then after a
pause in the conversation Josie said casually, "Oh Sam, Ellie Dean would
like to meet you."
Sam looked surprised. "Why would she want that?" he asked.
"Oh I don't know," said Josie evasively, "I expect it's part of getting
to know me and who I'm with; it's no big deal. You will come won't you,"
she asked anxiously.
"Of course," said Sam. "Anything to help you and anyway it would be fun
to meet her."
"That's great," said Josie giving him a kiss. "4 'clock okay?"
"I can make that work," replied Sam.
The Interview
The next day Josie and Sam took the Underground to Ellie Dean's offices
in central London.
Ellie Dean's Design Center took up most of the 15th floor of an office
tower. Josie had agonised over what to wear but eventually settled on a
casual look, with a black leather skirt, black tights, black ankle high
boots and a cream sweater. Sam wore a new pair of jeans and a leather
jacket. They were greeted in the reception area by a pretty young woman
wearing a tight pencil skirt and impressively high heels which gave her a
very seductive walk.
"Ms. Dean will be with you in a few minutes, so just make yourselves
comfortable," she said.
Sam wandered over to the floor length window and gazed out over London,
picking out various landmarks that he had grown up with. He was still
daydreaming when the receptionist announced that Ms. Dean was ready for
them. They followed her down a corridor with Sam unable to take his eyes
off the receptionists swaying posterior. She stopped at the last door,
knocked, opened it and ushered them inside. Ellie Dean was seated at a
large desk tapping away on her laptop. She looked up and with a warm
smile stood up to greet them. She was a tall, slender woman in her late
30's with long straight blonde hair that hung down to the middle of her
back. She was wearing a navy coloured pleated skirt and a white silk
blouse, simple but obviously expensive. She smiled warmly at Josie and
said, "I'm so glad you could come in Josie, we'll have a chat and then I
can show you around."
"Thanks so much for giving me this chance Ms. Dean," began Josie.
"Oh call me Ellie, Ms. Dean makes me seem middle aged," she said glancing
at Sam curiously.
"Oh sorry this is my boyfriend Sam, you asked me to bring him in with
me," said Josie almost hesitantly.
"I did?" said Ellie with a slight frown. "I thought I asked you to bring
the girl who modelled your dress."
"Yes, well you see," said Josie nervously looking studiously at the
carpet, "Sam here was my model."
There was a stunned silence in the room and it was difficult to say who
was more surprised, Ellie or Sam.
Ellie's hand flew to her mouth and she stared at Sam in astonishment,
while Sam stared at Josie in confusion.
"I'm sorry Ellie, really I am, I was so scared that if you knew Sam was a
boy and not a real model you wouldn't want to hire me." She turned
towards Sam and said, "I'm sorry Sam, I thought if you knew you wouldn't
have come; now I've ruined everything." And she burst into tears.
Sam immediately put his arm around her and Ellie offered her a tissue.
Josie sat there dabbing her eyes and snuffling quietly. Ellie continued
to stare at Sam and then she started to laugh.
When she stopped she looked kindly at Josie and said, "Calm down Josie
you haven't ruined anything, I'm just surprised that's all."
"Would someone please explain to me what is going on?" asked Sam
plaintively.
"Well," began Josie but Ellie cut in.
"Sam I apologise for the confusion and I'll explain everything, but first
tell me what you do because it seems that you are not a professional
model."
"I'm a boxer," said Sam simply.
"A boxer," said Ellie in disbelief? Slowly a smile began to spread across
her face and once again she began to laugh and this time she did not stop
for a long time. Finally, wiping the tears from her eyes she regained her
composure. Sam still looked baffled.
"Sam I'm so sorry it just struck me as extremely funny," and she giggled
again. "I'll try again to explain. Val Soames, one of Josie's tutors is
an old friend and she invited me in to see the video of the recent
fashion show, which I was unable to attend live. When we got to your
entry and performance I was transfixed. Josie's dress is wonderful, which
is why I am hiring her, but your performance was simply sensational. I
had no idea you were not a beautiful girl," She paused for a moment and
then said, "Sam I turned to Val and told her that we had just seen the
newest supermodel."
"You must be joking," said Sam in disbelief.
"Sam I am completely serious. I am convinced that you would be a
sensation on the catwalks."
"Well that's not going to happen," said Sam.
Ellie smiled and said, "Sam do you mind if I ask you a personal
question?"
"You can ask but I might not answer it," replied Sam.
"Okay here goes; how much do you earn a year?"
Sam thought for a minute. "I get an allowance from GB Boxing and I also
have some living allowances and I do some coaching, so all in all I get
about 20,000 a year. It's not a fortune but Josie and I get by."
"What would you say if I were to offer you 1 million pound a year?"
Sam laughed and said, "For a moment I thought you said 1 million pound a
year."
"That's exactly what I said," replied Ellie.
Sam's jaw dropped in amazement. "I don't believe this," he muttered.
Josie gasped and gripped Sam's arm.
"Sam you have exactly the looks that all designers are searching for.
Please say you will consider it," said Ellie.
"What would I have to do?" asked Sam sceptically.
"Fashions shows, I'd put you on the catwalk and lots of photo shoots
advertising no end of products."
"It sounds too good to be true, I had no idea male models could make so
much," said Sam shaking his head. "What sort of clothes would I be
modeling?"
"Well with your figure it would be almost exclusively dresses and
skirts," replied Ellie in a deliberately casual fashion.
"You have to be joking," Sam managed to stammer.
"Sam you need to understand that you have amazing looks when it comes to
women's clothes; the height, the figure and a really rare commodity a
kind of raw animal like power. You would give women's fashion a huge
infusion of strength and presence." She studied him for a moment and then
said, "Look Sam I know this has come as a shock but please go home and
think about it. If you decide you want to do it I can guarantee you a
contract of at least one million pound a year." She turned to Josie and
said, "Josie take him home and talk to him but don't push him. Your place
in my firm is assured whatever Sam decides, but I would really love to
have you both"
She stood up and extended a hand to Sam and said, "Sam call me tomorrow
and if you are at all interested you can come in and we can go into this
in more detail."
With that they left the office and made their way back to their flat.
Josie followed Ellie's advice and did not try to persuade Sam at all.
When they got home Josie went into the kitchen to start dinner.
Sam said, "Could we eat in an hour or so, I need to go out for a walk and
just think. Today's events have really thrown me."
It was fully 2 hours later when Sam returned and they sat down to eat.
Through the meal they made small talk, never touching on the topic of the
visit to Ellie. They got ready for bed and Josie was lying there when Sam
walked in from the bathroom; he was wearing the white nightdress.
"Sammi what does this mean?" whispered Josie.
"It means I will talk to her again tomorrow," replied Sam as he got into
bed and embraced his girlfriend.
"What made you decide?" asked Josie curiously.
"When I was out walking I did a lot of thinking. I always think more
clearly when I am walking alone," replied Sam. "I started thinking about
my family which of course includes you. Josie, you must know that next to
you, my hero is my Mum. She worked 2 jobs to provide for Kyle, Sophie and
me and she's had a tough life. My ambition has always been to give her
the financial security she has never had. She always shopped for herself
at charity shops, saving her money to give us extra. She is only working
the one job now and her financial situation is not great; she still has
to scrimp and save every penny. I want to change that as soon as I can.
Then there is Kyle and Sophie. Sophie is an aspiring actor and Kyle lives
for art. Neither of those careers is likely to provide them with much
income. Finally there is you Josie. I would love to help you get
established in the fashion world, maybe have your own brand. I had
thought that perhaps I could turn pro but professional boxing is a
terribly hard life and I know I would not love it as I do the amateur
game. One million a year is a lot of money and I would be a fool not to
look at it seriously. So yes I am going to give Ellie a call tomorrow."
"Sammi I love you," said Josie. They did not get much sleep that night.
The Second Interview
Sam made the call to Ellie the next morning and she quickly made time for
him and Josie later that afternoon. When they got there and were seated
Ellie looked at Sam and said, "Well Sam obviously you have thought about
this and want to discuss it further which I am delighted about. What
changed your mind from yesterday?"
Sam explained how much he had thought about Ellie's proposal and
especially the money. "I can't ignore the opportunity to provide some
financial security for Josie and Mum and my brother and sister, but I do
have one serious concern and it really is a crucial one."
"Let's hear it," said Ellie crisply.
"My life has revolved around boxing," explained Sam. "And my dream has
been to box at the Olympics if I can make it. I would only agree to the
modeling if I am allowed to continue boxing, at least till after the
Olympics."
Ellie was silent for a while as Sam waited anxiously. At last she said,
"Well it would not be my first choice, but I can see how much it means to
you. My main concern is one, you getting hurt and two having your looks
spoiled. Black eyes and million dollar photo shoots don't really go
together. Okay I am prepared to allow you to continue, but I need
something in return."
"What's that?" asked Sam anxiously.
"We'll get to that in a moment," said Ellie seriously. "You have to
realise that as soon as we launch you there will be immediate interest in
who the new model is and we won't be able to keep that a secret; in fact
we would welcome the publicity. You must understand that when the public
finds out who you really are the attention will be total; it will be
front page news. You are going to come in for some fierce scrutiny and
much of it will be nasty. You will have all sorts of despicable trolls in
social media attacking you, plus the gutter press. Are you prepared for
this?"
"Yes," said Sam. "And so is Josie. I am not letting some pathetic creeps
run my life. The people I value will be fine including my team mates and
of course my family; I want to do this Ellie."
Ellie smiled and said, "That's what I hoped you would say. Now as to what
I need in return for letting you continue to box is this; for this to
work you are going to need to immerse yourself in femininity when you are
not training. Outside the gym you are going to be Sammi Edwards full time
girl, which means you will be in skirts all the time. Do you accept
that?"
Sam nodded.
"Good," said Ellie. "Now there is more. You have very little facial hair,
which is a huge advantage, but you would need some laser sessions to
remove all traces of a beard. Will you do that?"
Sam thought for a moment and then nodded again.
"Good," said Ellie. "Now my next condition is that I want you and Josie
to move into a flat with 2 other girls who are also on my modeling list.
My company owns the flat and you will be there rent free. There is a
housekeeper who will ensure that you all eat properly. Sammi you are to
learn all you can from the girls. While you are there you must forget Sam
Edwards. You will be Sammi Edwards and you will be treated as a girl and
must act like one." She gave him a piercing look. "Well Sam do you
agree?"
"Yes," said Sam in a voice barely above a whisper.
"Good," said Ellie. "From now on whenever we meet you are Sammi and Sammi
only wears skirts and dresses. I will have our legal department draw up a
contract and as soon as you have signed we will move you and Josie into
our flat. However your time as Sammi starts from now; I want to see you
modeling some dresses."
She reached for her phone and put through a call to one of her assistants
who appeared a few moments later.
A young woman entered and Ellie said briskly, "Jenny this is Miss Sammi
Edwards. The aim is to have her doing some high level modeling for us, so
I want you to take her under your wing and give her all the help you can.
Right now I want to see her strut her stuff, so go and find a few outfits
and meet us in the display area. And Jenny, remember Sammi only wears
girls clothes, no exceptions."
Jenny smiled and said, "Of course Ellie I'd be delighted to help. Come on
Sammi let's get you out of those dreadful clothes and into something more
suitable for an aspiring model."
In a daze Sam followed her out of the room and into his new life.
Jenny led the way to a dressing room just off the display area. She took
a robe off a hanger and handed it to Sam. "I'll give you some privacy
Sammi, but please be quick as we have a lot to do. I want you to strip
completely and slip this gown on. I'm going to find you some panties and
a camisole and when you have them on we are going over to makeup and have
the girls work their magic on you."
As Sam pulled the lacy satin panties up his legs his mind went back to
the fashion show where he wore Josie's dress and he felt an almost
forbidden thrill run through his body. The camisole and the gown only
added to this feeling and he felt a familiar hardening between his legs.
He called out to Jenny and when she came in he explained his problem with
great embarrassment. Jenny giggled with amusement and disappeared for a
moment. When she returned she said "Try this Sammi," and handed him a
sexy but uncompromising panty girdle which he slid on over his panties.
Jenny inspected him carefully and when satisfied she walked him over to
the makeup station.
"This is Sammi," she said, "I want you to make her alluring, but with a
hint of menace"
30 minutes later Jenny returned and when she saw Sam she let out a low
wolf whistle. "Sammi you look amazing, I can't wait to see you dressed,
come with me right now."
The first outfit that Jenny had selected was a gorgeous floor skimming,
strapless silver dress with a very full skirt. As Sam stepped into it he
felt the familiar shimmer run up his spine and he was glad of the
firmness of the girdle.
"Why am I feeling like this?" he thought. "For God's sake I'm a boxer. So
is Kate Taylor," another voice inside his head whispered.
His thoughts were interrupted by Jenny saying, "Oh Sammi you look
amazing."
He took a look in the floor length mirror which covered an entire wall of
the changing room and almost recoiled in surprise. Staring back at him
was a woman, a woman who would have immediately evoked the sense of the
"femme fatale," from the film world. She was beautiful, she was
mysterious and dangerous and she was him.
Once again Jenny broke in on his thoughts.
"Sammi, Ellie is waiting in the display area. I want you to go out there
and glide across in front of her. Glide like you are moving across the
ring. When you reach the end of the room turn quickly letting your dress
flare out dramatically and when you pass her on the way back give her a
cold disdainful look. Got it?"
"I think so," said Sam.
Jenny helped him into a pair of low heeled sandals and gently pushed him
out of the door. Sam felt more nervous than he ever had entering the ring
but he concentrated on what Jenny had said and let instinct take over. He
was only back in the room a few seconds when the door burst open and
Ellie and Josie almost fell into the room.
Ellie flung her arms around him and cried, "I can't believe this, you are
even better than I thought possible. Sammi you are a natural."
Ellie's hug was quickly followed by one from Josie, before Ellie decided
that it was time for more modeling and they withdrew.
"Right," said Jenny. "We'll go for a different look."
She selected a sleeveless pale yellow silk dress with a d?collet?
neckline. The skirt, which was full, came just below the knee.
"Sway your hips Sammi," instructed Jenny. "The silk is quite heavy and I
think you will love the effect."
As Sam swayed, the dress seemed to ripple like early morning sunshine on
a lake.
"Okay Sammi, the look I want now is a young woman in a hurry. My parents
used to love this song from back in the seventies called Year of the Cat.
One of the lines was so poetic; it goes, "she came out of the sun in a
silk dress running like the water colours in the rain." You Sammi are
going to come out of the sun with your silk dress running, sweeping into
a room, all elegance and grace but with a sense of urgency. You'll slow
and when you turn give your skirt a little flick with your hand and just
after you pass Ellie break into a little girlish run again back to me.
This dress is made for movement and I want you to play that up."
She showed Sam a pair of white 3 inch heel pumps and said, "Sammi put
these on a try walking. If you think you can do it, the effect with the
swish of your dress would be wonderful."
Sam walked up and down for a few minutes and soon became more at ease
with the new footwear. While he did this Jenny went out and arranged a
curtain that Sam would make his grand entrance through. She then spoke to
one of the light and sound technicians about the lighting effect she was
after. Meanwhile Sam became entranced at how his heels added to the
allure of the dress and after he succeeded with a little run he felt
ready to try it in front of Ellie.
Jenny clapped her hands and said, "Sammi that is perfect, now out you go
and wow them."
So Sam did. From the moment he burst through the curtain with its
delicate golden lighting he became intoxicated with the feel of the dress
rushing over his thighs and the magical click of his heels on the hard
floor. As he passed Ellie and gave a little flick of the hem of his dress
he could hear her gasp and then he ran, delicately, like a young girl
into the arms of her lover. In this case it was true because Josie had
positioned herself next to the dressing room door to one side of Jenny.
The next moment Sam was crushed in a group embrace by Jenny, Ellie and
Josie.
"I'm not sure if I can take any more tonight," said Ellie. "Josie please
take this gorgeous creature home and bring her in tomorrow so that Jenny
can take Sammi shopping. Don't worry it will be on the company credit
card. You will need underwear shoes stockings, a couple more of those
very sexy girdles you are wearing, plus dresses and skirts for smart and
casual. And Sammi, you are wearing that dress home; I'll find you a light
coat you can wear over the top but you are NOT going back to being a boy
tonight." She thought for a moment and then said, "No on second thoughts
cancel that; I'm taking you all out for dinner and then I'll send you
home in the company limo."
The restaurant was situated in the Mayfair area, discrete, intimate and
very expensive. Sam marvelled at how Ellie was able to get a booking at
such short notice. She smiled at him and said, "I've got connections
sweetie."
Ellie ordered cocktails and they settled down to talk excitedly about
Sam's audition. After a while Ellie noticed that Sam was sitting very
quietly sipping his drink and not contributing to the conversation.
"You are very quiet Sammi, anything wrong?" she asked.
"I feel overwhelmed," replied Sam. "One minute I am Sam Edwards, amateur
boxer for the GB team and the next I am modeling women's dresses and
being thought of as a future high end model. I'm beginning to wonder who
I really am."
Josie, who was sitting next to him, threw her arms around him and held
him tight.
"Sam or Sammi, you are still the same wonderful man I love," she said.
"And I will support you in whatever you decide to do."
"Sammi, I am so sorry," broke in Elle, "I have been so excited at meeting
you and getting a glimpse of your talent that I completely forgot what an
enormous adjustment this must be for you."
She thought for a moment and then said, "Do you have any commitments this
weekend?"
"No I usually have the weekends off to kick back a bit; just fitness
training by myself but no ring work," replied Sam.
"Right," said Elle decisively, "I have a cottage in the country near
Oxford and you and Josie are going to spend the weekend there, just
talking walking and being together, just yourselves Josie and Sam, not
Sammi; how does that sound?"
"Wonderful," said Sam and Josie at the same time.
"Good," said Ellie. "I'll have one of our drivers take you out there and
pick you up. There's a car at the cottage you can use and some lovely
walks nearby; just what you need. On Monday come into the office and if
you still want to go ahead with this we'll iron out some more details."
After that Sam began to relax and enjoy the evening. The food and the
wine were of course superb and he began to enjoy the conversation. He
realised that despite her international fame Ellie was really a very down
to earth person. She too had come from a working class background and had
risen to the top by sheer talent and hard work.
"I see a lot of my early self in you Josie," she said, "It was one of the
major reasons I wanted to have you join us."
By the end of the evening Sam and Joie were feeling quite light headed
from the effects of the cocktail and the wine and they were very glad for
the ride to their door with Ellie's driver.
"Enjoy your weekend and yourselves," was Ellie's parting advice as they
climbed a little unsteadily out of the car.
The Weekend
As it was late and they felt quite drunk they decided to pack the next
day. Ellie's driver was coming for them at 9.30 and they set the alarm
for 8.15 but when you are young and deadened by liquor sleep is a
powerful opponent and despite the alarms best efforts they did not wake
till just after 9.00.
"Sam, quick, wake up, we've overslept; the car will be here in 20
minutes," cried Josie, frantically shaking her lover.
Sam sat up suddenly. "What, where am I?" as he looked around in
confusion.
"Sam we have to leave in 20 minutes, we slept in," shouted Josie.
"What time is it?"
"Sam it's 10 past 9 get up."
"10 past 9? The car will be here in 20 minutes."
"That's what I've been trying to tell you," cried Josie in frustration.
Sam frantically jumped out of bed and raced into the bathroom. He emerged
in 2 minutes clutching his toilet bag and pulled open drawers grabbing
handfuls of clothes and stuffing them into a large duffle bag. Meanwhile
Josie went into the bathroom and did her best to look presentable in the
short time available. Right at 9.30 Sam's phone rang. It was the driver
to say that he was waiting outside. They both crammed the last few things
into their bags and hurried downstairs and out to the car, where the
driver already had the back door open.
"Allo, allo," he called cheerfully. "Lovely day for a trip to the country
innit? Now op in and I'll get this lot in the boot"
The car was a sleek black Bentley and as soon as they settled into the
luxurious leather upholstery they both let out a collective sigh.
The driver got in and looked back at them with a grin.
"You two looks as though you ad an ard night," he said in his distinctive
Cockney accent. "I bet you're both dying for a nice cuppa and a bacon
sarnie; there's a caf? a few streets away."
"Love one," said Sam.
"I think I'm going to be sick," groaned Josie.
"No in ere luv, ang on, I'll just pull over," said the driver in alarm.
"No I'll be okay," said Josie bravely. "Tea will be fine."
She turned to Sam and said, "You can eat your bloody sandwich in the
caf?, I'm not sitting with the smell of bacon all the way to Oxford."
Sam only laughed.
After the brief stop the settled back to enjoy the drive. As soon as they
reached the M 25 the driver moved to the outer lane and let the Bentley
show its stuff. Despite the speed the ride was so smooth that they both
fell asleep and only woke when the car came to a stop on a gravel
driveway. For the second time that day they both woke in a confused state
and by the time they had climbed out they found their bags by the front
door and they key in the lock.
"Right, I'll be orf then, pick yer up at 9.30 Monday morning. Ave a luvly
weekend," said the driver as he got back behind the wheel.
Sam stood watching the car drive away and even long after it had
disappeared he continued to stare after it as though in a trance. He
jumped when Josie gave him a nudge.
"Oh sorry," he said, "I was having a weird dream." When Josie looked at
him inquiringly he said, "I was making my entrance into the ring and
warming up, but when my coach pulled off my robe I found that I was
wearing one of your dresses."
"Sounds like great publicity," said Josie giggling. "What happened next?"
"I woke up."
They went inside and began to look around. Although the cottage had been
built at least 300 years before, the inside was very modern and
comfortable. The ground floor featured a large well equipped kitchen and
a sitting and dining room that took up the whole of the back of the
cottage. French doors led onto a small terrace and down into a neat
garden with a profusion of English flowers.
Upstairs was just as attractive especially the master bedroom overlooking
the garden and the countryside in the background.
"This is perfect," said Josie. "This weekend is just what we both need."
Sam enthusiastically agreed. They made a cup of tea and sat down to plan
the rest of their day.
There was a pub and a couple of shops a few hundred yards away and they
decided to go there for lunch and then do a country walk. Sam had a look
in the bookcases lining part of the wall in the sitting room and was
pleased to find an Ordinance Survey map of the area.
"I love these," he said holding it aloft. "You can plan your own route
and discover sights you would never have thought of."
The pub had a shaded beer garden and they sat in it sipping pints of beer
and eating their lunch and feeling very content with the world. Sam
studied the map and saw that there was a public footpath nearby that
linked up with other paths that would give them a good afternoon ramble.
They walked in silence for a while enjoying the quiet beauty of the
countryside. Eventually Josie broke the silence.
"Sam, have you given any more thought to the contract Ellie is offering?"
she asked.
"I've thought of little else," Sam replied.
"And how do you feel?"
"Josie, I'm scared."
"Scared that people will laugh at you, that you'll lose the respect of
friends?" asked Josie gently.
Sam shook his head. "No much worse than that," he said.
Josie reached out and took his hand. "Tell me Sam."
When Sam spoke his voice was barely above a whisper. "I'm scared I'll
like it; wearing dresses and skirts I mean."
"Do you Sam?" asked Josie gently.
"I think so," he said.
"And what's wrong with that, they are just clothes?"
"I'm scared I'll lose you. I'm scared you will want...." He hesitated,
unable to go on.
"To be with a real man; is that what you mean?" asked Josie finishing his
sentence.
Sam nodded silently.
Josie stopped walking and pulled Sam around to face her; she looked
angry. "And what is a real man Sam? Someone who doesn't lift a finger
around the house because it's "woman's work?" Someone who beats his wife
because he needs to show he's tough? Someone who is always making
homophobic and sexist jokes? Fuck it Sam, can't you see I love you? Part
of the reason I love you is because you are willing to consider wearing
dresses; you a not the stereotypical male; you walk to your own beat.
Besides the thought of you in a dress makes me almost weak at the knees
with lust."
She stared at him for a moment. "Have I made myself clear?" she asked.
In answer Sam pulled her into his arms and gave her a long, long kiss.
After this exchange Sam became visibly more cheerful and they both
enjoyed a wonderful walk though delightful scenery. The route that Sam
had chosen took them through almost 20 miles of farm and woodland and
when they got back to the cottage it was early evening and Josie was very
tired. Sam volunteered to make dinner and Josie collapsed on the couch in
the sitting room with a large glass of wine. By the time dinner was ready
he fond Josie asleep and snoring softly. He woke her gently and after
they had finished dinner and Sam had cleared up they both decided on an
early night.
When Josie woke in the morning the bed next to her was empty. With bleary
eyes she looked at the clock and saw it was after 9. She lay for a while
luxuriating in the knowledge that she was under no pressure to do
anything except relax and enjoy herself. She was just getting up when she
heard the front door open and close and moments later Sam came into the
bedroom.
He had been out for a 10 mile run and was feeling quite chirpy. While Sam
showered Josie headed down stairs and made breakfast. As they ate they
discussed their plans for the day. Eventually they decided to go in to
Oxford and tour around the old university town. Oxford on a summer day is
a place of beauty. The splendour of the old college buildings and their
beautiful grounds and the peaceful charm of the River Cherwell winding
through town filled them both with a deep contentment. They stopped at a
caf? and bought some food and drinks and headed over to Magdalen Bridge
and hired a punt to take them for a leisurely outing on the river. Josie
reclined back on some cushions as Sam poled the punt out into the gentle
current. They drifted along past the Oxford Backs into less traveled
water. After about an hour Sam steered in to the bank and tethered the
punt to a willow tree on the river bank. He settled down with his arm
around Josie both relishing each other company and the utter peace they
felt.
"My darling Josie I absolutely love you," said Sam.
Josie's eyes began to moisten as she turned and passionately kissed her
lover. They lay together for a long time listening to the water slap
gently against the flat hull of the punt. Eventually Josie reached into
their lunch bag and began to feed Sam one of the sandwiches they had
bought.
"Sam have you made a decision?" asked Josie as they ate.
"What do you think I should do?" asked Sam.
"I'll support anything you decide," replied Josie.
"I'm going to do it Josie. If I don't I think I would always be left
wondering what might have been."
Josie could hardly contain her joy. "Oh Sam I am so happy; I was really
hoping you would, but I didn't want to pressure you."
"You really don't mind me in skirts?"
"Sam I love you in skirts," responded Josie.
"I'll need to call Mum, Sophie and Kyle. I don't want to tell them over
the phone so I would like you to come with me Monday evening. We can have
dinner and I'll tell them then. I can't imagine how shocked they'll be
and how they'll take it."
"Knowing your Mum and brother and sister they will be right behind you,"
said Josie reassuringly.
"You are probably right," said Sam. "Okay I'll call them this evening so
that they know to have 2 extra plates for dinner and I'll also tell the
team on Monday. We have a final team meeting before our summer break and
I'll do it then. I'll also see if I can get one of the legal people
attached to the team to look at the contract Ellie is going to draw up."
"Are you nervous about telling them?"
"Yes of course, but I really don't want to delay it. If I'm going to do
this then I need to be all in."
"I think you are very brave," said Josie.
"Well it is more frightening than getting into the ring," Sam admitted.
Sam looked at his watch and was surprised to see that it was almost 4
o'clock. Reluctantly he undid the rope and pushed the boat out into the
river. It was a slow but enjoyable trip back and they arrived just before
the boathouse was due to close. They decided to stop at a pub they had
seen on the river and have an early dinner. They managed to get a table
outside and while they were waiting for their meal Sam put a call through
to his Mum.
"Mum, can Josie and I come around for dinner tomorrow? We have something
really important to tell you. Can you also make sure that Sophie and Kyle
are there also?"
Mrs. Edwards was of course delighted to hear from her son and equally
delighted that they were coming round for dinner the next night. She
checked with Sophie and Kyle and reassured Sam that they would be there
as well.
Sam and Josie ate their dinner accompanied by the soothing sound of
birdsong from the nearby meadows and now that a decision had been made
Sam felt a huge sense of relief. When they got back to the cottage they
were both feeling tired and headed straight for bed where they both fell
into dreamless sleeps of unfathomable depths.
They woke just after 8 and had time for breakfast before Charlie appeared
at 9.30 with the Bentley to take them back to London. Neither spoke very
much as they were both wrapped deeply in their own thoughts and they were
taken by surprise when the car pulled up outside their flat.
Sam Tells the Team and His Family
The driver very obligingly offered to take Sam to the training center,
saving him a hurried trip on the Underground. As Sam exited the car he
took a deep breath and steeled himself for the encounter. The center was
a state of the art facility with 3 boxing rings, and a large gym area
with all the equipment any boxer would need. There were also treatment
rooms and a small conference room with the latest audio visual equipment
for analysing fights. Their sparring sessions were often filmed and
closely monitored for performance errors. It was here that the final
meeting before the summer break was to take place. Sam was one of the
first there but decided not to say anything until everyone was present.
The head trainer was the last to arrive and he gave an overall review of
what had been achieved and the plans going forward. The 10 fighters
listened intently to his words.
"We'll be back in 6 weeks to begin our build up to the Olympics next
year," said Terry the Head Coach. "During the summer you need to relax
and recover from all the hard work, but not go into hibernation. And for
God's sake don't do anything stupid at the table. I don't want you all to
have problems making weight."
He handed out some instructions regarding diet and also suggestions for
staying fit during the holidays. Finally he looked at the group and said,
"Right that's it from me, does anyone have any questions?"
Sam felt himself become more tense as a couple of his team mates asked
clarifying questions and finally Sam raised his hand.
"Yes Sam go ahead," said Terry.
Sam cleared his throat nervously and began. "Something has happened over
the last week which is going to have a huge effect on my life and my
girlfriend Josie's life. It will affect all of you to some extent but I
hope not too much."
By now he had the attention of the whole room.
"I've been approached to do some modeling work and I've talked this over
with Josie and I want to do it. I have a guarantee that the work will not
affect my boxing so that won't be a problem. This is a once in a lifetime
opportunity to make some money. My Mum has some health issues and you all
know the problems with the National Health. She is still working hard to
make ends meet and this is not in the best interests of her recovery. I
need to do this, especially for her, but I wanted to give you all a
chance to have a say."
Neil Beck a welter weight from Glasgow said, "I can't see it's a problem
mate. It's your life and you are doing it to help your Mum. If it won't
affect your boxing I don't see an issue."
"Yeah," said Marsha Edmonds, one of the 3 women on the team. "It's not
like you will be modeling dresses."
They all laughed.
"Actually that's what I will be modeling," said Sam quietly.
The laughter died away and there was complete silence.
"What did you say?" asked 3 people at once.
Sam looked at the group; they were staring open mouthed at him.
"I said I would be modeling dresses. They think I can be the next super
model," repeated Sam.
There was a babble of voices.
"You're winding us up."
"Whose they?"
"Are you gay?"
Sam raised his hands and the room went quiet.
"I'm going to tell you the whole story. But to quickly answer the
questions I just heard in all the hubbub. One, I'm not winding you up.
Two, I'm not gay. Three, they is Ellie Dean."
There was a sharp intake of breath from the 3 women.
"Fuck," said Sally Trace! Sally was also a middleweight and a frequent
sparring partner of Sam's.
"Okay listen up," said Sam and he proceeded to tell them how it all
began. "I did it for Josie as a bit of a lark. She had an important
assignment and needed a model and an original presentation. I wore her
dress but presented as a boxer going into the ring. I did a warm up
routine, shadow boxing, bobbing, weaving to the theme from Raging Bull
and they loved it. Ellie Dean is a friend of Josie's instructor and she
watched the video and the next thing I know I'm going to her studio. I
thought I was going to support Josie because Ellie offered her a place as
a designer. It turns out she really wanted to see me and she came up with
this amazing offer."
"So what are they offering?" asked Max Cholie, the super heavyweight and
unofficial leader of the group.
Sam paused. "Well," he said, "they mentioned somewhere in the region of a
million pound a year."
Again there was a collective gasp and then a chorus of, "Fuck!"
Max was the first to speak. "Shit Sam could you see if you could get me
signed on?"
Everyone laughed and Marsha said, "I don't want to even imagine you in a
dress Maxie. They'd pay you a million quid not to model for them."
Sam interrupted them and said, "Look everyone, I realise this will affect
you all. I expect to come in for a shit load of publicity and probable
abuse, but I know it's going to affect the whole team and I don't want to
put you guys through all that."
Once again Max spoke, "Don't worry about us Sam; if anyone doesn't like
it then fuck them. We are behind you on this; right guys?" There was a
unanimous roar of approval from the team and Sam had trouble holding back
tears.
As the meeting broke up Sally sidled up to Sam and whispered, "Any chance
you could get me any of Ellie Dean's cast offs?"
Sam laughed and said, "I'll see what I can do but no promises, okay?"
"Understood," said Sally. "And Sam I think this is fantastic and you are
very brave."
"Or very na?ve," replied Sam as they parted.
Sam made his way to the office of Reg Penderfield, who was the Executive
Director of the Olympic boxing programme. He outlined his needs
concerning some legal advice with a contract.
"Ah I can help you there. My sister is a solicitor in London and she
specializes in contract work." He pulled a card out of a drawer on his
desk and handed it to Sam.
"I'll let her know you are going to call her. I think you will be very
happy with the advice she gives."
Sam thanked Reg and left the center feeling very relieved. He called
Ellie and managed to get her during a break in her busy day.
"Ellie I have decided that I want to do this," he said.
Ellie was excited. "Sam that's great news. We have a lot to do to get
this started and you are going to need some serious help getting into a
female zone. I will get a preliminary contract drawn up that you can
review later this week. Meanwhile you need to get some girl clothes. Can
you come by tomorrow about 4 o'clock and Jenny will take you out and get
you started. Don't worry the cost will all be on us. I would like you and
Josie to move into the flat by the beginning of next week and from then
on in it will be full on girl mode; do you think you can handle it?"
"I'm going to soon find out," replied Sam.
When he got home later that afternoon Josie was anxious for news of how
his meeting had gone.
"Better than I expected," said Sam. "They were really supportive."
Josie was relieved and she pulled Sam in for a warm hug and a deep kiss.
They spent the rest of the afternoon in bed and neither of them got any
sleep. Around 5 they both got up and began to get ready to head over to
Sam's Mum's house in the East End. As Sam was walking up the familiar
path to the front door all sorts of memories of growing up there stirred
in his mind. His Mum answered the door her face breaking into a huge
smile as she saw Sam and Josie. Susan Edwards was a slender woman in her
mid-forties. Her hair was showing touches of gray and the tight lines in
her face told a story of a difficult life especially her current illness.
Sam threw his arms around his Mum's neck and kissed her on both cheeks.
"Come along in you two," she said ushering them through into the front
room. Sophie and Kyle were in there watching TV but as soon as they saw
Sam and Josie they turned it off and came to greet their brother.
"Good job you picked tonight Sam, I'm in a production in the West End but
we don't play on Mondays," said Sophie.
She had the same dark striking beauty as Sam and it was easy to see that
they were brother and sister.
Kyle gave his brother a hug.
"Great to see you big brother; we can't wait to hear your news."
"Kyle give them a chance, they've only just got in," chided his Mother.
"Dinner will be ready in about 10 minutes so I need you, Sophie and Kyle
to give me a hand in the kitchen."
"We brought some wine," said Josie producing a couple of bottles of
Italian red.
"Great, I'll uncork them and we can have them with dinner," said Kyle
grabbing them and heading into the kitchen.
A few minutes later Susan called them all into the dining area adjacent
to the kitchen. Sam was delighted to see that she had made one of his
favourites, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, lots of gravy and crisp
vegetables.
"Save some room, there's rice pudding for afters," said Susan with a
smile.
During the meal they made light conversation. Sophie was full of news
about her new role in a West End production. She had a small part but was
also the understudy for one of the main characters. Kyle talked
enthusiastically about his first year at art school and Susan was just
enjoying herself being with her family. Josie noticed that Susan kept
looking at her hand and realised that they thought that she and Sam were
going to announce their engagement and she smiled to herself.
After the pudding was finished and they all sat back feeling full and
contented Susan said,
"Well come on Sam, don't keep us waiting any longer, out with it."
Sam took a deep breath and said, "Mum, Sophie and Kyle I'm going to be a
model."
There was silence around the table. This was clearly not what they
expected.
"A model?" asked Susan. ""What sort of a model?"
"Well," said Sam slowly, "according to Ellie Dean a super model."
Now there was a stunned silence which was broken by a babble of voices as
the 3 of them began asking questions.
It took another half hour before Sam and Josie were able to fully explain
what had transpired and how Sam had reached his decision.
"I know this is hard for you to understand; I don't think I fully
understand it myself but this opportunity has come my way and I'm not
going to pass it up."
He looked at his mother and went on, "Mum since I was a small kid I was
driven by one thought, which was to somehow be in a position where I
could make life much easier for you. I would see how hard you worked so
that we could have a better life and I so much wanted to repay that
debt."
Susan started to protest, "Sam you don't owe me anything, for God's sake
don't do this for me."
Sam raised his hand and stopped her. "No Mum I'm doing it for all of us
including me. The truth is and you might find this hard to believe, I
love dressing like a girl. Fortunately Josie loves me that way too."
They continued to talk for another hour and when there was nothing more
to say Susan stood up and with tears in her eyes embraced her son.
"My God Sam, I'm so proud of you. If you want to do this then I'll
support you anyway I can."
"The same goes for us," cried Sophie and Kyle together and then it was
one huge hug fest and no dry eyes.
Eventually it was time for Sam and Josie to leave. Susan gave him one
final hug and said,
"Sam, promise me you'll take good care of yourself."
"I promise Mum."
Sammi Starts to Appear and Sam Continues to Grow
When Josie woke the next morning she found the bed next to her empty.
When she made her way into the kitchen she saw a note from Sam; it read,
"Please come with me later for the shopping with Jenny, I need your
support. I'll be home around 3."
Josie smiled and immediately sent Sam a text, "Of course I'll come."
When Josie arrived back at the flat Sam was just getting out of the
shower. She felt a familiar flutter as she took in his superb physique.
They embraced and taking Sam by surprise she suddenly pushed him
backwards and they both landed on the bed with her on top. She yanked
down her panties and grabbing Sam's suddenly stiff penis she thrust it
inside her and began to ride him with an almost desperate ferocity.
"If you are going to wear dresses get used to being fucked' she snarled
and moments later they both climaxed with screaming intensity.
"The thought of you in a dress just sends me over the edge," said Josie
after they had recovered.
"Then I'll keep wearing them," said Sam as he began stroking Josie's
breast.
She swatted his hand away. "Enough of that, we have to get ready to meet
Jenny."
"That'll only take 5 minutes," said Sam feeling disappointed.
Josie giggled. "Not for you Sammi, you can't go dress and pantie shopping
as a boy and you have to learn that we girls take a little longer to look
beautiful."
Sam looked alarmed. "But I can't go as a girl," he protested, I've got
nothing to wear."
Josie roared with laughter. "Oh Sammie you are priceless; you've only
been in skirts 2 days and you are thinking like a girl already. If you
wear an old pair of jeans and a hoodie you will pass after I do your
makeup and hair."
Sam looked doubtful but after Josie had spent a few minutes deftly
applying makeup and styling his hair into a feminine look he was
agreeably surprised and had to admit that he could probably pass as a
girl as long as no one looked too closely. They took the Underground into
Central London and after a few minutes' walk they were greeted by Jenny
at the Ellie Dean offices.
Jenny's face lit up when she saw them.
"Sammi I am so pleased that you came en femme. Don't worry Josie and I
will take good care of you and you are going to have a lovely time. We'll
soon build you such a great wardrobe that you'll never want to wear boy
clothes again."
Sam just smiled and said, "I am in your hands Jenny and thank you very
much for going to all this trouble."
Jenny laughed and said, "Sammi this isn't trouble, it's fun; come on
let's get going."
They walked a short distance to the Underground and took the tube to
Oxford Street, the most famous shopping district in London.
"We are not looking at high end stuff for you Sammi, you can get that
from Ellie; so Marks and Spencer will be perfect."
They made their way along the pavement, crowded with people heading home
from work, to the Marble Arch branch of Marks and Spencer. A few people
let their gaze linger a little on Sam, but Jenny assured him that really
tall girls always attract attention. Once inside the store Jenny steered
them towards the lingerie section. Sam first thought was to be
embarrassed, but he quickly realised that this was exactly the place that
girls would go to, so he began to relax.
"I think high leg would suit you best Sammi," said Jenny holding up a
pair of silky lacy black panties. "They are pretty and will give you good
coverage; now let's go over and look at bras."
She grabbed a dozen in assorted colours and headed over to a display of
bras.
"Why do I need a bra? It's not as though I have anything to put in them."
"Because you are a girl and that's what girls do," replied Jenny firmly.
"Besides nothing screams girl louder than a bra."
"A petticoat might," giggled Josie.
"Oh yes," said Jenny, "we must get him one of those."
"Only one?" frowned Josie. They both giggled, causing Sam to roll his
eyes.
Josie had carefully measured Sam before they left the flat and she and
Jenny began looking for bras in the appropriate size.
"How about this?" asked Jenny hold up a frilly, padded push up bra.
"Pretty," enthused Josie. "I can't wait to see Sammi in those with her
panties." And of course this led to more giggling.
They also selected 3 ankle length nightgowns and were just leaving the
lingerie section when Josie saw a rack with full and half-slips. She
dragged Sam over there and selected a white and black slip in both the
full and half styles.
"I know girls don't generally wear these now but they are just so
delightfully feminine that I would love you to wear one Sammi."
Sam just smiled and gave her a resigned look.
"Right now that we have the foundations sorted we can look for some
outwear," said Jenny briskly.
"Are we getting it all here?" asked Sam.
"No," said Jenny, "But I want to check the staples."
"What do you mean?" asked Sam.
Jenny stopped walking and turned to face Sam and Josie.
"Sammi there are certain things that every young woman must have in her
wardrobe. One is a leather jacket, two, a leather skirt, three a denim
jacket and four a denim skirt. They always look cool and they can be
paired with other clothes, so let's see what they've got," and they
resumed walking to the escalator which took them up one floor to women's
wear.
Jenny stooped at a rack of sun dresses and said "These are nice. You will
need two or three Sammi so go and try this one on," she said handing him
a white dress with a floral pattern.
"Can't we just take it a return it if it doesn't fit?" asked Sam
anxiously.
"No Sammi," said Jenny and Josie at the same time. "Trying on dresses is
a rite of passage for a girl, so off you go."
Sam reluctantly took the dress and headed for the nearest changing room.
He blanched a little when one of the assistants gave him a cheery smile
and said, "Need any help love?"
Sam shook his head and dashed into the change room and quickly locked the
door. He stripped off his jeans and top. He looked down and saw his old
trainers and equally old socks.
"This won't do," he said to himself and removed shoes and socks. He
closed his eyes and pulled the dress on over his head, once again getting
that little rush of forbidden pleasure as the dress brushed his thighs,
before settling just below his knees. He opened his eyes and stared at
himself in the floor length mirror. The dress was loose with a full
skirt. If he had breasts the neck would have finished just above them and
the spaghetti straps displayed his lean muscular shoulders perfectly. He
gave a twirl and sighed with pleasure as the skirt flared outwards.
He left the changing rom to find Jenny and Josie waiting impatiently
outside. Josie gave a sharp intake of breath and he eyes widened.
"Sammi not for the first time you look amazing," she said excitedly.
"Get changed Sammi," said Jenny. "We are definitely taking that."
Sam slipped off the dress and handed it out to Jenny who then handed him
two more and sent him back to the changing room. Both met with Josie and
Jenny's approval and Jenny took them and their haul of lingerie to the
cashier, while Josie suddenly set off to a different part of the shop.
When Josie re-joined them Jenny was just finishing up at the cashiers and
she handed the bulging bag to Sam. Just then Josie reappeared carrying 2
handbags and a purse.
"Why do I need those?" asked Sam.
"Girls don't have pockets Sammi, we carry what we need in a bag. This one
is your basic black but I love this other one; this pink blush is such a
pretty colour and will go perfectly with at least one of your new
dresses," explained Josie. Jenny took the bags and returned to the
cashier before re-joining Sam and Josie.
"Okay girls we are done here. I think our next stop will be Asos; I am
sure we can get denim there."
She was right the selection was good. First Sam tried on a jacket that he
liked, but Jenny over ruled him.
"Too masculine," she said and handed him a similar shade of blue but in a
more feminine style. It fit well and no one could have mistaken it for a
man's jacket.
There were several denim skirts and when Sam could not decide between a
mid-calf skirt with a slit and a classic above the knee skirt they bought
both. After Jenny had paid she handed the shorter skirt to Sam and
informed him that he would be wearing it home. Realising that protests
were futile Sam obeyed and headed into the changing room and emerged
wearing his new skirt. They were just about to leave the shop when Jenny
saw some pencil skirts on a rack.
"Yes," she said triumphantly, "I almost forgot; you must have a pencil
skirt to practise walking. A tight pencil skirt will shorten your stride
and help you to walk like a woman."
The skirt was tight in the legs but Sam relished the feeling of his
thighs rubbing together as he walked.
"Just wait till you wear that with some silky stockings," said Josie,
"You will think you have died and gone to heaven."
Sam had a feeling that she was right.
"We still need leather," said Jenny. "Let's try Topshop, it's not far."
Once they got into the shop Jenny suggested that she and Sam look in the
leather section while Josie scouted out the dresses and skirts. Jenny
immediately found a leather jacket which she really liked on Sam.
"It's got that biker look which is perfect for you. We'll get some nice
ankle boots to go with it," said Jenny
They didn't have much success with skirts so they went to join Josie who
already had an arm full of skirts and dresses. She handed them to Sam and
pointed towards the changing room. After Sam had tried them all on they
settled for 2 loose fitting dresses with full skirts and 3 skirts.
"At this stage Sammi it is probably best not to wear anything tight, with
the exception of your pencil skirt, which is mainly for walking practise.
When we get you some girdles to control you down there," she said
gesturing vaguely at Sam's groin "then we can put you in something
tight."
They drifted over to the shoe section and discussed their plan.
"Sammi you definitely need heels because you will be wearing them on the
catwalk and you need to get used to them," said Jenny. "I'm thinking
mainly 3 inch but also one or two 4 inch. You also need some cute ankle
boots to go with your denim and leather outfits, sandals, of course and
some casual trainers."
"How are we going to carry all this stuff?" asked Sam anxiously.
Jenny waved her hand dismissively. "We'll get a taxi," she said.
The assistant, who worked on commission, was delighted that they bought 6
pairs of shoes in various styles.
As they were leaving the shop Jenny said, "We still need a leather
skirt." She thought for a moment and then seemed to reach a decision.
"We've really been quite frugal," she said, which surprised Sam and
Josie. "I think we could splurge a little, come with me."
They walked down Oxford Street and turned in Regents Street. Josie's eyes
widened when Jenny entered Belstaff, a very upmarket leather shop and
made straight for the women's section and began scrutinising leather
skirts.
"Got it," she cried holding aloft a classic skirt in very soft leather.
Sam caught sight of the price tag and began to protest but Jenny put a
finger over his lips.
"Quiet Sammi, this is the one Ellie would want you to have and besides, I
am sure that when they see the name on credit card they will give a
generous discount. Now be a good girl and try it on."
When Sam emerged from the changing room Jenny and Josie were delighted
with the look. Jenny pulled the price tag off and went to pay. Before she
did she said, "Keep it on Sammi and wear it with your denim jacket and
the new ankle boots and dark stockings. When Sam emerged from the
changing room he presented a very striking figure.
"Sammi you look hot!" cried Josie.
Sam smiled and said, "Is it hot in here."
Josie and Jenny both groaned. Josie suddenly had an idea. Taking one of
the bags from Marks and Spencer she pushed Sam back into the changing
room and told him to close his eyes. She then took something out of the
bag and told Sam to raise one foot followed by the other. Sam felt
something silky sliding up his legs.
"Josie what have you done?" said Sam.
"Oh just a little touch darling," she said and slightly raised the skirt
to reveal a froth of white lace. "We don't want you looking too macho
with that leather."
"Fat chance of that," said Sam bitterly.
"We need a drink and something to eat," said Jenny firmly once they were
out of the shop. "I know a nice pub not far from here that shouldn't be
too crowded, let's go."
Sam's boots had a 3 inch heel so walking was something of a challenge. It
also increased his height to 6 foot 4 inches and he felt rather
uncomfortable at how far he stood out. When they walked into the pub he
half expected someone to call out, "You're Sam Edwards the boxer", but of
course no one did. Jenny headed to the bar and bought the drinks, which
were large cocktails, and also brought back the food menu. They ordered
and sat back to enjoy their drinks. Inevitably some men tried to join
them but Jenny politely informed them that they were not interested.
As they finished their meal Jenny phoned one of Ellie's drivers and
arranged for him to collect them at the pub.
"There is no way you can use the Underground with all that stuff," she
said. "I know I suggested a taxi but this will be better."
Half an hour later she got a beep on her phone to announce that the car
was waiting outside and they piled all the bags into the boot and all 3
sat in the back. Jenny insisted on dropping Sam and Josie off first and
as soon as were inside the front door Sam felt himself overcome with
fatigue. Not bothering to unpack they went up to bed and both fell
quickly asleep.
The next morning Sam received a call from Ellie to say that the contract
was ready and that she would email a copy to him. She asked if he had
some legal help and he told her about Reg Penderfield's sister and gave
her the contact details. He then called Andrea Penderfield's office and
was put right through to her.
"Sam, my brother told me about you and I am intrigued. I would be happy
to help, so tell Ellie's people to send me over the contract and then
come in tomorrow and I'll go over it with you."
Josie needed to go and meet Ellie to discuss her position in the company
so Sam was left at home. He decided that he needed to begin to pack for
his and Josie's move to the flat by next week.
"No time like the present," he thought and took the denim skirt that
Jennifer bought him out of the bag and placed it on the bed. He selected
a pair of panties also bought on the shopping spree and put them on. A T-
shirt was next and finally the denim skirt. He let his hair fall over his
shoulders, gave a brief glance in the mirror and began to take his new
clothes out of the shopping bags and into a large suit case. When this
was done he sat down and made a list of all the things he would need
before starting his new life. He had already checked with Ellie that
there was space in the flat to exercise and to hang a punching bag, so he
put some boxing gloves in the case as well. He smiled as he remembered
Ellie's directive that he was to only wear skirts and dresses in the flat
so he added "workout gear, must have skirts to work out in", to his list.
He then checked on the laundry and found that there was quite a lot that
needed doing and quite a lot of Josie's that needed ironing so he busied
himself with that for a couple of hours. When that was finished he went
out for a run with stops for chin ups and push ups at a nearby park.
After exercising he took a shower and washed and dried his hair. Walking
back into the bedroom he was seized with a sudden impulse. He reached
into the suitcase and pulled out one of the lacy slips that Josie had
insisted he buy. He gave a shiver of excitement as it slid down his
smooth body. Putting the denim skirt back on he began arranging his hair
in a vaguely feminine manner. Just as he finished he heard the front door
open and heard Josie call out a greeting.
"I'm upstairs," he called and was rewarded by the sound of Josie's feet
on the stair.
She came into the bedroom and stopped dead, her eyes wide. She suddenly
rushed forwards and taking flung her arms around Sam's waist. His skirt
rode up a little and when she saw the flutter of lace blow the skirt she
let out a small scream and with convulsive strength pushed him back onto
the bed and leapt on top of him. With one hand she reached up under his
skirt and yanked down his panties, while with the other hand she tore
hers off. She grabbed Sam's cock and forced it inside her. She reached up
and pinned his hands over his head and began to ride him wildly making
animal like growls as she did so. They thrashed on the bed in a frenzy
and then it was over. She paused for a moment and then rolled off Sam as
though she had been shot. They lay there not speaking as they recovered.
Eventually Josie said, "Sammi darling you had better warn me when you are
going to wear a petticoat. I can barely control myself seeing you in
skirts, but a petticoat fills me with a sort of madness."
"Duly noted," said Sam and kissed her.
The next morning Sam received a call from Andrea Penderfield.
"Sam I have looked over the contract and overall it looks fine. There are
a couple of fairly small additions I want to make. Would you be able to
come in later this morning to discuss them?"
Sam agreed and immediately set off to Andrea's office. She went over the
contract with him and pointed out the additions which he agreed with.
"Right then, I'll send it over to Ellie and if she agrees you can go
ahead and sign."
Sam was on his way back home when he received a call from Ellie.
"Sam I have just reviewed Ms. Penderfield's additions and I have no
problem accepting them. Our lawyers will draw up the final contract
today. Could you come in to sign tomorrow?" Sam told her that he could.
"That's excellent; I'll expect you around 11." She was about to hang up
when she thought of something. "Please ensure that you come in as Sammi.
Your new journey begins tomorrow."
Sam felt a tingle of apprehension but also excitement as he disconnected.
To Sam's immense relief Josie readily agreed to accompany him to Ellie
Dean and Company the next day. Jose checked the weather forecast and
said, "It's going to be sunny tomorrow Sammi so I suggest that you wear
one of your new pretty summer dresses." She pulled him in for a tight hug
and whispered in his ear, "And one of your new, oh so sexy petticoats."
Sam tried to frown but the prospect of wearing his new clothes excited
him too much and his face broke into a happy smile.
That night as he came out of the bathroom Josie handed him one of his new
ankle length night-dresses. "Sam's gone on holiday darling," she said.
"For the next few weeks it's only Sammi."
Once Sam had put on his night-dress Josie became the aggressor and was
soon on top of her lover riding him passionately. As they recovered she
stroked his nipples through the soft satin.
"Sammi I love how submissive you become and how aggressive I become when
you are in dresses and skirts. I love the feminine Sammi as much as the
masculine Sam."
"So do I," whispered Sam.
The next morning Josie helped Sam with his makeup and hair.
"Watch carefully Sammi because you will need to do this yourself."
Sam slid a pair of lacy panties up his legs followed by a white full slip
with the obligatory 3 inches of ace at the hem. Next he pulled a summer
dress over his head and felt a thrill as it cascaded over his body and
legs. He and Josie both looked at his reflection in the mirror. They saw
a powerful looking young woman in a white dress with a floral pattern
that came just below the knee in a full skirt. To Josie's delight Sam
swung his hips causing the skirt to flare out and reveal the slip
beneath. She began to emit a low growl and move towards him but Sam
stopped her explaining that there was not time.
They left the flat together and walked towards the Underground. The day
was sunny with a light breeze and Sam delighted in the feel of his dress
and slip caressing his bare legs. They reached the Underground and as the
descended on the escalator a rush of warm air from below blew Sam's dress
up to his hips fully revealing his lacy slip to some very interested men
in the opposite escalator.
"Welcome to the world of women," giggled Josie.
"It is a wonderful welcome and a wonderful world," said Sam, "I can't
describe the feeling that walking in a dress gives me."
They managed to get a seat on the train and so Sam was able to be less
obtrusive, but when they came out again onto the street for the walk to
Ellie's building Sam was on full display. He really cut a striking and
beautiful figure as he strode along with the skirt of his dress floating
as he moved. They were shown into Ellie's office by a receptionist.
"She will be with you in a few minutes," said the girl.
5 minutes later Ellie rushed into the room and Sam and Josie rose to meet
her.
"Oh my God Sammi you look gorgeous," she said giving Sam a warm hug.
They were joined a few minutes later by a woman from the legal department
who produced copies of the contract. Sam and Josie took a few minutes to
go over it and ensure that the clauses that Sam's lawyer suggested were
in place.
Sam then nodded and said, "Right, where do I sign."
The lawyer indicated two places and Sam signed with a flourish. Elle came
over and hugged him again.
"Welcome to Ellie Dean, Sammi! I am taking you and Josie out to dinner to
celebrate properly tonight and then you start work. I was going to
introduce you to modelling next week on a gradual basis but things have
changed and the photo people want to do some shooting tomorrow. I'll
explain more about it this evening."
Just then a tall, attractive woman in her mid-thirties came into the
office.
"Sammi and Josie meet Rene Swanton. Sammi, Rene is going to be your coach
in modeling. Of course you have a natural athleticism and grace of
movement but there are certain conventions and styles that all models
need. It will take some work but I think that you will be a quick
learner."
She looked at her watch and said, "It's lunch time so why don't the 3 of
you go out and get something and then I would like to spend time with you
Josie, and Sammi you can have your first lesson with Rene."
Rene suggested that they go to the cafeteria of a department store which
was a few hundred yards away so they strolled over enjoying the warm
sunshine. Sam was conscious of Rene scrutinizing him closely as he walked
but this did not bother him.
They found a small table and helped themselves at the buffet counter.
Rene looked at Sam and smiled.
"I am going to enjoy working with you Sammi; I can see why Ellie is so
excited about bringing you onboard. I think you have tremendous
potential."
Sam blushed with pleasure.
The 3 had a very pleasant lunch and both Sam and Josie began to feel
comfortable with their decision to join Ellie Dean. On the way back to
the office Rene suggested that they detour to a small park so that she
could spend more time observing Sam. A group of men were lounging in the
park as they went by and there were the usual catcalls, whistles and
suggestive comments. Sam felt his fists begin to clench and Rene quickly
put a hand on his arm.
"Relax Sammi; if you are a woman this happens all the time; learn to get
used to it. It's usually best to ignore them."
"Fuck them," said Sam and put a bit more sway into his walk. Josie and
Rene did the same and all 3 began to giggle.
"I'm acting more and more like a girl," said Sam.
"Good," said Josie and Rene together.
When they got back to Ellie Dean and Company Rene took Sam into her
office where she had a large screen TV.
"Just watch Sammi," she said and proceeded to show Sam video clips of
lions and leopards moving through their terrain.
"What do you think?" she said when the last clip ended.
"They are beautiful," replied Sam.
"Yes they are and they are all predators and they are all female. That is
exactly the look we want from you. The great thing is, to a large extent
you have that look already; the look of a predator. We want to sell the
image of the strong female who moves with grace, but also has a hidden
menace. Ellie and I have talked about this for some time and when she and
I see you we know that you can be that predator. We both see the dress
and femininity as a strength, whereas it has traditionally been seen as a
weakness."
She looked intently at Sam and said, "Sammi I don't want to put too much
pressure on you but Ellie and I both feel that you can be a symbol of a
new type of femininity."
"Even though I'm a guy?" asked Sam.
"Maybe because you are a guy. We don't just want to sell dresses, but
change the way people think about gender and the artificial division of
masculine and feminine. You can help do that Sammi; think of the girls
who would be inspired by seeing a possible Olympic boxer wearing dresses.
Also more boys might think it cool to wear a dress and then we might see
the gap between men and women become more narrow."
"And you would also sell more dresses," replied Sam.
"That would be a nice side benefit," said Rene with a laugh.
She stood up and said, "Let's go out to the display area and you can
practise a few things."
When they reached the display area Rene turned to Sam.
"The dress you are wearing today Sammi is ideal; it allows you easy
movement and it has a nice swing. There are 2 walks that I want you to
practice, although they are similar. When a man walks he typically has
his feet more apart than a woman; but a model has hers even closer. I
want you to try walking where you place one foot in front of the other;
not quite as much as a tightrope walker but similar. This will give your
hips the sway that looks so sexy in women especially models. Try that
now."
Sam made a few trips up and down the room while Rene watched.
'Don't be scared to exaggerate it a bit Sammi. Feel your skirt swing as
you move; yes that's better."
She thought for a moment and then said, "Sammi I'm going to play some
music: I think that will help. Is classic rock and pop okay?"
Sam nodded and moments later Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark"
came blaring out over the sound system. Sam began to walk again and this
time he found that he was moving with the rhythm of the music. He felt
his dress almost come alive as he paraded up and down. After a few
minutes Rene stopped the music and called Sam over.
"Much better Sammi," she said. "I want you to do that again with the same
music but this time I'm going to have you filmed and I want you to take
long strides; act as though you are the boss."
She called one of the AV techs and as soon as she set up her camera Rene
started the music and Sam went back to work. After about 15 minutes Rene
called a halt and led Sam back to her office. She switched on her TV and
they both sat and watched Sam's performance. Every few minutes Rene would
stop the video and point out some areas where Sam needed to change his
technique.
"I never realised there was so much to walking," said Sam, who was
feeling slightly intimidated.
"Don't worry Sammi you are doing really well. Once you get a bit smoother
we will get you to do it with ever increasing heel height. Now I want to
move to a different area. Our next lesson is to focus on the look,
meaning what you do with your facial expression, especially your eyes.
There will be times you'll be asked to smile but not often, especially in
your case. I have another video to show you which I think will surprise
you."
She made a few clicks on her computer and suddenly an old image of a
boxing ring appeared. This was immediately followed by a familiar face
from the past staring into the camera. It was the great middleweight of
30 years ago Nigel Benn, also known as the Dark Destroyer. Rene paused
the video and turned to Sam.
"I thought I'd surprise you and I see that I have. As soon as Ellie began
to rave about your potential I did some much needed research on boxers
and boxing. I must have watched hours of film on boxer's mannerisms and
the way they move and this has to be one of my favourites. Have you ever
seen a more intimidating look than that? Okay think femme fatale meets
Nigel Benn and that is the look we are hoping for from you."
She had Sam stand facing her and said, "Okay Sammi put one hand on your
hip and give me that look; the one that would shrivel an opponent."
This time Rene used her phone to film and after a few minutes showed Sam
the results.
"This is the one," she said indicating a dark smouldering look. "I want
you to practice these Sammi so that you can produce any look on command."
After a short break Rene decided to go back to walking.
"Okay Sammi the second type of walk involves short steps; the sort of
walk you will do when wearing a tight dress or pencil skirt. Let's go
over to wardrobe and find something appropriate."
The dress Rene chose was a sheath dress in silver with a tight skirt. Sam
zipped it up and felt that he looked outstanding but unfortunately in the
wrong area.
Rene looked at him and shook her head.
"We'll have to do something about that," she said and went over to find a
gaff. When Sam put it on her looked much better but felt worse.
"Get used to it Sammi I'm afraid you will have to use either a gaff or a
girdle to control things down there."
This walk was different than the first and it took Sam a while to adjust
to the difference in the restriction of the skirt and the increased heel
height, which Rene insisted on. However after a few minutes he began to
relish the feel of his nylon covered legs rubbing against his slip and
the feeling of slight vulnerability that the tight skirt produced.
Despite his great fitness Sam began to feel his calves ache with the
repeated walking in heels and he was glad when Rene finally called a
halt.
"I'll send you the videos so you will be able to practice," she said.
They had just finished when Elle and Josie came to find them. Ellie
pointed to Sam and Josie and said, "Right you girls go over to wardrobe a
find yourselves nice dresses for dinner. Once you get ready we can leave
and have a relaxing drink first."
The wardrobe section at Elle Dean's was large and Josie and Sam had a
wonderful time looking through the different dresses. Eventually Josie
chose a dark green stretch knitted skater dress that ended a few inches
above her knees. Sam's selection, at Josie's urging, was a little more
daring. It was a one shoulder midi length dress with a waterfall hemline
in a striking gun metal colour.
"I feel positively dowdy going out with you two," complained Ellie when
she saw them.
One of her drivers took them to a small exclusive restaurant near Sloane
Square and they were ushered over to a table in a discrete alcove.
"Cocktails all round I think," said Ellie when the waiter appeared.
The service was excellent, fast efficient and discrete. After they had
ordered Ellie raised her glass and said, "Here's to you Josie and Sammi,
I hope our relationship will continue a long time and be built on trust
and friendship."
After they clinked glasses Ellie rose and gave them both a hug and quick
peck on the cheek.
"Rene was very impressed with you today Sammi. She is not easy to impress
and I really trust her judgement, so you are off to a great start."
After their food arrived Ellie began to lay out the procedure for Sam's
modeling debut the next day.
"This shoot will be a little unusual because it will still feature our
summer look. Normally we would launch this much earlier and in fact we
did. However we are having such a good summer and our design people have
come up with some wonderful designs so I have decided to launch another
summer edition, with you Sammi, as our centerpiece. We are going for a
woodland theme and will be shooting the pictures in Burnham Beeches just
outside London. I think there are a couple of skirt, top combinations but
it will be mostly dresses. It's going to be a full day Sammi because the
photographers want to shoot with different light; early morning, full sun
and maybe evening shadows. Our car will pick you up at 4.30 in the
morning, so this evening won't be a late one and we'll have to go light
on the alcohol. Jenny will be with you to plan the various scenes. We are
leaning towards themes where we take advantage of your athleticism. Josie
would you mind going as well to help Sammi with dressing?"
"I'd love to," replied Josie.
The food was of course delicious and as soon as they finished Ellie
called for the bill. Her car and driver were waiting outside and Ellie
had him drive Sam and Josie home first.
"Big day tomorrow Sammi," said Josie as they were climbing into bed.
"Let's get as much sleep as we can."
Sammi makes her debut
They only got 6 hours as their alarm woke them both at 4 am. There was
just time for a quick shower and for them both to pull on some clothes.
In Sam's case this was ditsy print floral midi dress that had a full
skirt. He also took a navy blue fleece hoodie to wear until it got
warmer. Josie wore some light casual pants and a long sleeve T-shirt plus
a fleece jacket.
Just as they got downstairs they heard a car pull up outside their flat.
This time it was a spacious Toyota minivan with room for 6 in the back.
They climbed in next to Jenny who reached over to the seat behind and
produced two large paper bags.
"Coffee, croissants and pastries," she said, "I thought you girls
wouldn't have had breakfast."
She gave a sudden gasp and said, "Oh I'm so sorry Sammi that just slipped
out; you look so convincing."
Sam gave a wry chuckle and said, "No offence taken Jenny, I'm actually
quite proud to be an honourary girl."
Due to the early hour they made good time and before 5.30 they were being
directed into a service area of the park. The photographers were already
there getting their equipment organised and the wardrobe crew had arrived
in a motorhome. Jenny called everyone together.
"The photographers and I have already scouted the area out and we know
where we would like to do our shoots. Fortunately none of the places are
far from here so this s an ideal base."
The photographers headed over to the first location and Jenny turned to
Sam.
"Sammi the first shoot will be somewhat familiar, in that I want you to
wear the same silk dress that you showed Ellie back at the office. We
want to catch you in the early morning sun and I'm thinking of having you
run into a glade. You'll be coming out of the forest into the light. Our
wardrobe crew have all your costumes, but Josie will be the one helping
you dress."
"What about shoes?" asked Sam.
"Bare feet for the first one; don't worry we have padded the areas where
you will be running and blended them in to the landscape. Right now get
over to the motorhome. The girls will do your hair and makeup and as soon
as you are dressed we can start. We have half an hour so it's no panic."
As soon as Sam got to the motorhome he was seized by two young women who
sat him down and while one began arranging his hair the other started on
his makeup. They had worked together a lot and never seemed to get in
each other's way. 30 minutes later Sam emerged from the van. Jennifer
gasped her approval.
"Sammi you look amazing. Let's start shooting."
The glade was only a short walk from the van and when they got there Sue
and Denis the 2 photographers were all set up.
"The light is really good now so let's get started," said Sue.
Jennifer had Sam make a few dummy runs to establish the path he would
take and the speed he would run.
"Imagine you are this beautiful girl who sees her lover in the forest
glade and runs towards him, sorry Sammi I mean her."
Sam laughed and said, "Well in that case have Josie stand behind the
photographers."
Sam lost count of the number of times he ran, but it must have been at
least 30. He had photos and videos shot from face on, side on, behind and
even from above as Denis climbed up into a tree. Finally they were
satisfied and Jennifer accompanied Sam back to the motorhome for the next
costume, plus a quick touch of makeup. The next dress was the epitome of
summer; a long white sleeveless dress with a full skirt that came just
below mid-calf. Jennifer led the way to a beautiful beech tree on the
edge of a clearing. She pointed to a long branch just over head height.
"For this one Sammi we want to emphasise muscular femininity. Could you
pull yourself up onto that branch?"
Sam did so with very little effort.
"Now do it with your hands further apart."
Again Sam complied.
"Won't this look a bit like Tarzan?" asked Josie who was watching.
"Did you ever see Tarzan in a dress like that?" replied Jennifer.
Josie had to admit that she had not.
Dozens of photos were taken and videos shot of Sam in different stages of
ascent and even he began to feel a little tired by the end.
When Sam next emerged from the van he was wearing a dark green short
sleeved dress with an asymmetrical hemline. He was surprised when
Jennifer handed him a bow and arrow.
"What's this?" he asked. "Robin Hood?"
Jennifer smiled and said, "No Sammi wrong gender; try Maid Marian."
This time Sam was required to climb into the tree and stand in different
poses while pretending to shoot an arrow. When Jennifer and the
photographers were finally satisfied they all headed back to the clearing
where the makeup girls had set up a large picnic lunch. It was only when
he started to eat that Sam realised how long they had been working and
how hungry he was. After eating their fill Sam and Josie lay back on the
grass and quickly fell asleep. 30 minutes later Jennifer was shaking them
awake.
"Come on girls, time to get going, we still have several more shoots to
finish."
They went on till almost 8 o'clock when mercifully Jennifer finally
called a halt. Sam had lost track of the different outfits he wore but he
was certain that his favourite was a white sleeveless dress with a
profusion of brightly coloured butterflies massing over the skirt. It
seemed the perfect dress for a sunlit woodland scene.
They stopped at a local pub for dinner and well-earned drinks where the
events of the day were duly discussed.
"I think you can be very proud of your first day modeling Sammi, I am
just delighted with the pictures we got and I know Ellie will be as
well," said Jennifer as they got back in the minivan.
The drive home was very quiet as all three were feeling done in. When
Josie and Sam were dropped off they headed straight up to bed. Josie
managed to get a long nightdress on Sam before he fell into bed and was
soon snoring quietly.
Sam and Josie move into the flat
Sam and Josie slept a full 12 hours and they were only woken by the
telephone on the night stand ringing incessantly.
"Hello Sammi I hope I didn't wake you," said a breezy Ellie.
The groan from the other end of the phone indicated that she had.
"I just wanted to let you know that I've reviewed the photos from
yesterday and I'm delighted. I also wanted to let you know that I'll send
a car over tomorrow to take you to the flat. That should give you enough
time to get ready."
Josie persuaded Sam to spend the day as Sammi saying, "The more practice
you get darling the better."
They spent a relaxing day after the rigours of the previous one. Sam did
go for a run and did some floor exercises which was the only time he was
not in skirts. By the evening they had their bags packed by the front
door. In addition to his punching bag Sam had 3-4 pairs of gloves, boxing
boots, pads and a heavy medicine ball. However his workout clothes did
not feature any shorts but did include 3 skirts which he bought from
lululemon.
The car came on time and they loaded their bags into the boot. The flat
was in Earls Court and 45 minutes later they entered a street of terraced
houses and pulled up outside number 54. The house, like the others in the
street, dated back to the early 1800's. It had 3 floors and a basement
and looked well preserved. As they were taking their luggage from the
boot a pleasant looking woman in her mid-fifties emerged from the front
door.
"Hello," she said, "I'm Mrs. Stewart and I keep an eye on the girls in
the basement for Ms. Dean. My main job is to produce some good dinners to
see that you girls don't go starving yourselves. Come on in and I'll show
you to your flat."
She led them down the outside steps and into the private entrance. Sam
and Josie looked around them in surprise. The basement of such houses had
traditionally been the area for the servants but this basement looked
very modern and comfortable. Thick carpet ran from the entrance to the
other rooms except the kitchen which had attractive slate tiles. Although
there was minimal natural lighting the light fixtures were well situated
and provided excellent light.
"This will be your room," said Mrs. Stewart as she opened the door of a
room off the corridor. Sam and Josie had not known what to expect but
they did not expect the room they entered to be so impressive. A king
size bed dominated the room but what most surprised was the on-suite,
which although small was well appointed with a shower toilet and wash
basin with a large mirror.
"I'll leave you then to get settled," said Mrs. Stewart, "I'll bring
dinner down to the kitchen after 5 and you can heat it in the microwave
when you are ready."
Sam and Josie looked over the rest of the flat. Off the same corridor as
their bedroom, were 2 other rooms which Sam guessed belonged to their new
flat mates, who they had yet to meet. Further down the flat was a large
sitting room with a sofa and a couple of comfortable arm chairs plus a
wide screen TV. At the end of the flat next to the back door was a
laundry area on one side and another room that had been made into a small
gym. Sam was pleased to see that someone had attached a strong bolt to an
overhead beam which he would be able to hang his punching bag from. There
was also a chin up bar which he had requested, some mats and a rowing
machine.
Just then they heard the front door open and heard voices in the hallway.
Not wanting to frighten anyone by suddenly appearing Josie called out a
greeting and then she and Sam came out into the hall. There were two
girls standing there, tall and slender and very beautiful. One was dark,
very dark, obviously of African descent and the other looked like
everyone's idea of the Swedish beauty. The dark girl's face broke into a
huge smile and she bounced forward.
"Oh you must be Josie and Sammi, Ellie told us you were coming," she said
in a thick Liverpool accent. She paused for a moment, considering. "Well
which one of you is Sammi?"
Sam and Josie burst out laughing.
"Well that is some compliment; I'm Sammi," said Sam still smiling.
"Wow," replied the girl, "You look just like a girl. Oops sorry I didn't
mean..."
Again Sam laughed and said, "Well that is the general idea and while we
are living here I hope you will treat me just like any other girl."
"Sure will," she said. "I'm Katarina or Kat for short and this is my twin
sister Leigh."
"It's going to be hard telling you apart," said Sam with a grin.
"Oh no, I'm half an inch taller," replied Kat with a straight face. The
four shook hands and Josie suggested she make a cup of tea which they all
agreed to.
They took large mugs of tea into the sitting room and Sam watched as
Leigh and Kat sat at each end of the sofa and curled their legs under
them. Sam tried to do the same but it felt awkward.
"You'll have to practice Sammi," said Josie. "I'm doing my best to train
him, I mean her, but Sammi has a lot of old habits to break."
"We'll help," said Kat.
Kat seemed to be very bubbly whereas Leigh seemed more reserved.
They chatted for a few minutes before Leigh looked at Sam and said, "Are
you really a boxer Sammi; you don't look like one?"
She suddenly realised that she may have made a mistake and she covered
her mouth and looked embarrassed.
Sam pretended to look hurt. "Are you saying boxers aren't pretty?" he
said with a pout.
"Oh no," said Leigh anxiously but Sam cut her off with a laugh.
"Just teasing you Leigh," he said. "One of my team mates is very envious
and she asked me if I could get her any of Ellie's samples."
Leigh looked astonished. "You have girls boxing on your team?" she asked.
"Yes we all train and spar together. Sally Trace, who asked about
dresses, has a very good chance of a medal at the next Olympics. You
should give it a try."
"No thanks," said Leigh with a shudder, "I don't like getting hurt."
"The idea is not to," said Sam, "but it doesn't always work."
The conversation then turned to modelling and design and Sam really
concentrated, intent on picking up as much detail as possible. They were
all enjoying themselves so much that they were unaware of the time until
Mrs. Stewart knocked and came in with their dinner. It was a vegetarian
lasagne and it smelled delicious. There was also a green salad.
"Now you girls make sure you eat it all," admonished Mrs. Stewart as she
left, "none of this ridiculous dieting you girls seem to get into."
"How does it feel being one of the girls Sammi?" asked Kat.
"Very comfortable," replied Sam with a smile.
After a few more minutes the smell of the dinner became overwhelming and
Sam and Josie realised that they had not had lunch. Kat heated up the
lasagne while Sam and Josie set the table. When it was ready Kat called
them all over to eat.
"Just the salad for me," said Leigh, "I'm not very hungry."
Kat gave her a concerned look. "Leigh you can't go on starving yourself,
it's not healthy," she said.
"No I had something earlier," protested Leigh weakly.
Mrs. Stewart had made generous amounts and there was still some left when
they had finished.
"More Sammi?" asked Kat.
Sam looked at Leigh who hastily said, "You eat it Sammi, we don't want it
going to waste or Mrs. Stewart will be after us."
"Well if you're sure," said Sam and devoured the left overs.
They sat for a while and then Kat suggested that they all go out for a
drink. There was a pub a few streets away and although it was quite full
a group stood up to leave just as they arrived so they were able to grab
their table. Josie got the first round of cocktails and they settled down
to resume their pre-dinner conversation.
Inevitably groups of men came over, but either Kat or Josie politely
turned them away. Kat and Josie got into a serious discussion about
fashion and Sam took the opportunity to lean in towards Leigh.
"Leigh, are you really trying to lose weight?" he asked.
"I'm scared of putting on weight and having it show," She looked at Sam
and said, "You are so lucky Sammi; I would love to eat like you do and be
as slim as you are. I suppose guys don't think about that sort of thing,
but it is a huge issue for a girl, especially a model."
"Actually I know a great deal about not gaining weight," replied Sam
seriously. "We boxers are constantly aware of being able to make the
weight in our divisions and it can cause huge problems. We envy the super
heavyweights who don't have any weight restrictions."
"Then how do you do it?" asked Leigh suddenly very interested.
"We don't diet; that would be counterproductive. If you try to starve
yourself your body will react by storing as much fat as possible so the
person ends up putting on more weight than before the diet."
"Then what do you do?" asked Leigh impatiently.
"Two things are critical," replied Sam. "One is that we do not touch any
junk food or sugar based drinks. We have a lot of fruit and vegetables,
fish, chicken, really lean protein. We snack when we are hungry but it
will be on fruit like raisins or figs. The second thing is we burn a lot
of calories when we train, thousand every day. How much do you exercise
Leigh?"
"I dance 2-3 times a week and do some aerobics and lots of stretching."
"Dance and aerobics are great exercises. Do you do weights?" asked Sam.
"Well no, I don't want to look all muscly like a guy. Oh sorry I've done
it again. You look great Sammi it's just that...." and her voice trailed
off.
Sam frowned and said, "Now listen carefully Leigh because what I have to
say is really important. First thing is you will not get big muscles.
Look at the women who compete in the Heptathlon. They are certainly
strong, but they don't look like anything except very attractive women.
You don't have the DNA to get big muscles. Secondly, having more lean
muscle mass will cause you to lose fat. Muscle burns a lot of calories
even when you are resting. You may not lose weight because muscle is
heavier than fat, but you will look slimmer. By the way you already look
amazing."
Leigh blushed with pleasure and said, "Do you think you could help me
train Sammi?"
"I'd be happy to," said Sam, "but I'll make you work hard."
They stayed for a couple more rounds of drinks and then decided to call
it a night. They had to squeeze their way through the crowd and as Kat,
who was just in front of Sam, neared the door a young man leaned forwards
and pinched her bottom hard.
"You need some cock you black bitch," he sneered.
Kat twisted round angrily to confront him, but he was already on the
ground vomiting in agony. Sam's fist had travelled less than 12 inches
but it landed in the man's soft beery gut with devastating force. It all
happened so quickly that no one saw it.
Sam gently took Kat's arm and guided her through the door.
"Let's keep moving," said Sam ushering the women out onto the pavement.
Kat was still visibly upset and Sam had to explain to the other two what
had happened.
"How did he get on the floor?" asked Kat.
"I must have accidentally bumped into him," replied Sam innocently.
"The bastard," spat Josie, "it's what we women have to contend with all
the time."
"Especially if you're a black woman," said Kat sorrowfully.
"Not when you are with me," said Sam evenly.
When they got back to the flat Kat was the first to hug Sam, quickly
followed by the other two. They finished 3 bottles of wine, by which time
no one was feeling any pain; that came the next day when they all woke
with severe hangovers.
Modeling for Ellie Dean
Over the next week Sam spent a lot of time being coached by Rene and he
gradually became more comfortable moving like a model. He had also formed
a close bond with Kat and Leigh so that they felt comfortable working as
a team. The issue of Sam's gender never arose; he was treated as a girl
by his two friends and also by Josie. The only time he reverted to male
behaviour was when he and Josie were together in bed. Josie had observed
the way Sam behaved around Kat and Leigh and she could see that although
the 3 had formed a close friendship he really only had eyes for her.
Sam, Josie and Kat were all delighted to see the change in Leigh. She had
started to work out with Sam, doing genuine strength training twice a
week and using the punching bag and pads on other days. She stopped
skimping on meals and overall appeared to be much happier. Kat was so
impressed that she decided to join in and both girls found that going
full out on a punching bag was an excellent way to work out frustrations
that came with being beautiful young women having to interact with often
lecherous men.
"You never know when being able to punch someone on the nose might be
useful," Sam told them.
On Friday Ellie called Sam into her office.
"Sammi I have been talking to Rene and she thinks you are ready."
"Ready for what?" asked Sam.
"Our autumn fashion show in 2 weeks," she replied. "I'm putting you on
the catwalk Sammi."
Sam felt both a thrill of excitement and a tremor of fear at the news.
"Do you really think so?" he asked.
"Yes I do; the first time is always scary, but I'm confident you can
carry it off." She went on. "As you know, our exhibition this year is
taking place in the Natural History Museum. The magnificent central hall
will be where you girls will parade. Now I have something special for you
dear Sammi. Most of the models will enter from each side of the grand
central staircase but you, Leigh and Kat are going to be wearing our most
dramatic creations and as such you will descend by the staircase. Rene is
going to give you some special instruction in descending in a long gown.
What do you think?"
"I'm lost for words," said Sam shakily.
"Off you go then Sammi, get lots of practice in during the next 2 weeks."
The next 2 weeks passed quickly and Sam began to feel an increasing sense
of excitement and apprehension as the day came closer. He had practiced
assiduously under Rene's expert guidance and he felt increasingly
comfortable walking with a models seductive gait and gracefully
descending a staircase in heels while unobtrusively holding the side of
his dress so he did not stumble.
The exhibition was due to start at 8pm and Ellie sent a car to collect
Kat, Leigh, Josie and Sam at 5.30.
"It will take almost 2 hours to get you girls ready," she said.
Sam felt a knot of nervous anticipation in his stomach as he and the
others entered the museum. They were shown to a large preparation area
behind the central hall. Part had been curtained off for dressing and the
rest was given over to hair and makeup, which was where Sam, Leigh and
Kat went first. Josie went with them to give support. Sam did his best to
relax as his hair was washed, styled and set. Josie sat next to him and
squeezed his hand. As soon as the hair stylists were satisfied the makeup
crew moved in and took over. Sam looked around the room and saw dozens of
helpers buzzing around a group of beautiful women. He thought that it
resembled a very busy bee hive. Finally they were satisfied that Sam was
ready and Josie led him through to the changing area. He looked at the 20
young models in various stages of undress and momentarily forgot who he
was. Josie gave him a nudge.
"Sammi remember you are one of them," she said.
Before he had a chance to reply Kath his dresser hurried over.
'Sammi you are on in 5 minutes; let's get you into your dress."
Sam stood in a daze as Kath took down his dress from a hanger and held it
while he stepped into it. She pulled it up over his shoulders and then
drew up the zip at the back. Sam felt a delightful shudder run up his
spine as the zip reached the top. He looked in the mirror and loved what
he saw. The dress was a jet black crepe and it reached to the floor with
a small train at the back. Sequined embroidery adorned the sides with a
see through back. Suddenly Ellie and Josie were at his sides.
"Fuck, you look hot, I can barely restrain myself," Josie whispered in
one ear.
"Remember Sammi, femme fatale meets Nigel Benn," Ellie whispered in the
other.
Sam could hear the introductions being made in the central hall followed
minutes later by music which would accompany the models. The co-ordinator
backstage dropped her hand to send the first model on her way and Sam
immediately took his place behind number two. After she was gone and just
as number one returned Sam took a deep breath and swept out into the
brightly lit central hall. He was vaguely aware of a gasp from the
audience as he sashayed down the runway. All the practice paid off as Sam
felt he was on auto pilot; his walk and body movements felt absolutely
natural. When he reached the end of the runway he paused for 2 or 3
seconds looking in a haughty fashion into the audience before making a
perfect turn and heading back. As soon as he got back to the changing
area he was seized by his dresser and his gown quickly removed. His next
dress was a stunning pencil dress in a vivid fuchsia colour. It had a V
neck and dramatic puffed shoulders. The skirt was tight and ended at the
knee. The dress was paired with 4 inch high sandals with delicate straps.
As Sam made his entry he was again conscious of a ripple of sound running
through the audience. He decided to have fun. With the tight dress and
high heels he had no difficulty enhancing the sway of his walk and when
it came to the turn he did his usual stare down and then with a toss of
his head caused his long hair to flare out in a spectacular fashion. Elle
hugged him as soon a she reached the changing area.
"Sammi you were wonderful, you are creating the stir I hoped you would.
Now we keep you for the finale."
Sam, Leigh and Kat were each given short satin dressing gowns and were
taken by their dressers by a back stair to just behind the grand
staircase that was the center piece of the Central Hall. The final
exhibits were bridal and Leigh and Kat were to be the bridesmaids and Sam
the bride. Sam watched as Leigh and Kat were put into matching
bridesmaids dresses. They were midnight blue with a halter neck and full
sweeping skirts. The effect was sensational.
"Wow you two look amazing," whispered Sam in admiration.
"Now you Sammi," said his dresser.
Sam was surprised when his dresser first produced a long silk petticoat
and held it while he stepped in carefully. The silk was heavy and while
an extra tier gave it more volume it was not stiff. Clearly it would give
a dress more volume but not restrict its movement. Holding his petticoat
against his legs Sam carefully put one foot into the dress followed by
the other. His dresser slowly pulled it up and settled it over his
shoulders. She then began to do up the long line of pearl buttons at the
back. When she was finished Sam looked down and drew in a sharp breath.
Chantilly lace formed a V at the neck spreading out to the cap sleeves.
The bodice was textured with delicate roses and leaves that fell softly
down into the full skirt like snowflakes on a winter morning. As he moved
he felt the dress and petticoat move with him with a soft sensuous
rustle. His reverie was interrupted by his dresser pushing Kat and Leigh
towards the doors on each side of the balcony which gave access to the
two staircases that met to form the main staircase into the Central Hall.
Leigh and Kat made their descent simultaneously meeting together at the
main staircase. They slowly descended and at the bottom began their
stately progress up the runway.
"Okay this is it," murmured Sam as he came out of the door on the right.
The move had been rehearsed several times but now something inside Sam
seemed to take control. Instead of continuing straight down he paused at
the top of the right stair and briefly looked backwards as though leaving
something important behind. He paused again at the top of the main stair
and this time looked out over the hushed hall. With one hand gently
holding his skirt and petticoat he began to glide down the stairs feeling
his skirts moving and whispering to him. At the bottom he began to move
down the runway. He moved like the white queen on a chess board;
absolutely regal, absolutely deadly. He swept past Leigh and Kat as they
made their return. At the end he raised his right hand slightly, fixed
the audience with an imperious glance and turned in one smooth movement,
flared out his skirt enough to show the lace edge of his petticoat and
began to glide back. The original plan had been for Sam to go past the
staircase and into the change area but on a whim he decided to do
something different. He began to climb the stairs as Ellie watched in
astonishment. At the junction he turned left and continued up the second
stair. At the top he paused and glanced over his shoulder fixing the
audience with one last lingering look. With a graceful toss of his head
he threw his hair back over his shoulder and vanished through the door.
There was silence for a moment and then the audience broke into
spontaneous applause.
When Sam was back in the changing area Ellie flung her arms around him
closely followed by Josie.
"Sammi you were simply amazing, I don't think I have ever seen a modeling
display quite like that. You strayed from the script but my goodness it
was effective," said Elli.
Ellie then dragged Sam, Leigh and Kat out to face the still cheering
audience followed by the other models. Ellie applauded all the models and
specifically gestured towards Sam, Kat and Leigh. Sam, still in his
wedding dress responded with a modest curtsey and impishly allowed his
petticoat to peek out underneath his dress, a gesture that certainly did
not go unnoticed by Josie.
Fashion reporters from dozens of newspapers and magazine's clustered
around Ellie eager for information about her new model, but Ellie wanted
to give Sam more time to prepare, so she suggested that they return for a
press conference the next day.
Once the crowd has dispersed Ellie brought out several bottles of
Champaign and insisted that all the models join her in celebration. After
a few glasses everyone was feeling a little tipsy and so Ellie sent them
home.
"Sammi and Jose, I want you both here by 10 for the press conference. Now
go home and get some sleep."
As they were leaving Ellie handed a small package to Josie and told her
not to open it until she got home. One of Ellie's drivers drove Sam,
Josie, Leigh and Kat home. As soon as they got in Josie tapped Sam on the
chest.
"Bedroom Missy," was all she said.
She closed the door and stood against it staring at Sam.
"Take your skirt off," she ordered.
As soon as Sam complied Josie handed him the mystery package.
"Put this on at once," she said sternly.
Sam opened the bag and found the petticoat he had worn earlier with the
wedding dress. As Sam began to slowly step into the petticoat and slide
it up his legs he could hear Josie's breathing become louder and more
rapid.
"Get on the bed on your back," she snapped.
Sam did as he was told and Josie immediately climbed on top of him and
pinned his hands over his head and moved her face within inches of his.
"You teasing little bitch, flaunting your petticoat at me all evening.
I'm going to fuck your brains out," she snarled as she reached down and
pulled up Sam's petticoat, yanked down his panties and thrust his very
hard cock inside her.
The next few minutes were more violent than a dozen of Sam's fights and
when it was over they both laid back completely spent. Eventually Josie
snuggled up to Sam and whispered,
"My darling Sammi, I love you so much," but Sam was already asleep and
moments later Josie was also.
After the Fashion Show
Josie and Sam got up just after 8 and began to get ready for the press
conference that Ellie had organised. Just after Sam got out of the shower
his phone rang; it was Ellie.
"Sammi I am in a playful mood and am inclined to have a little fun this
morning. I would like you to come in as Sam and then we will change you
almost before their eyes."
Sam promised to play along, but said that he would have to go home first
as all his boy clothes were back at his and Josie's flat. Ellie promised
to send a car which could be there in 15 minutes. He and Josie hurried to
get ready in time and were just able to grab some toast before honking
outside announced the arrival of their car. Despite the early morning
traffic they managed to get home within 30 minutes and Sam rushed in and
put on a pair of jeans and a T-shirt. He pulled his long hair back into a
pony tail and fixed it with a band. He put his skirt and top in a bag and
returned to the car. They made it to Ellie's office with 5 minutes to
spare. Ellie spent a few minutes with them and explained her plan. She
then led them into the studio where the conference was to take place.
There were at least 30 journalists and reporters present waiting for the
scoop. There were 3 chairs on a raised stage where Ellie, Sam and Josie
sat. The press group sat on chairs in front of them. Ellie began the
meeting.
"Thank you all for coming; it is gratifying to get such a good turnout. I
know that you are anxious to get more information about the model who I
think you will agree stole the show last night, but first I would like to
introduce two people with me today. Josie Grey has joined us recently as
part of my design team. I saw her work at her college's annual exhibition
and knew that I had to have her at Ellie Dean. I wanted her to meet you
today, but she is a little nervous appearing before a group of
journalists so she brought her boyfriend Sam along for support. Sam is
someone you will hear much more about but in a different field to ours.
Sam is on the British Boxing squad and there's a very good chance that he
will represent Britain at the Olympics next year."
Sam and Josie both stood and smiled at the crowd and Sam raised a hand in
greeting. The group noticed that he appeared to have injured his hand,
perhaps in training they thought, because he had a finger splint on the
middle finger of his right hand. They both sat down and Ellie turned to
Sam and said,
"Sam be an angel and find Sammi and send her out. Tell her the press is
dying to meet her."
Sam gave a grin and graciously excused himself. The journalists, who were
mostly women, looked at the graceful way he moved and felt a flutter of
excitement. As soon as Sam was outside the studio he was seized on by 2
girls from makeup. They sat him down and began to swiftly and expertly
apply makeup and style his hair. Within minutes he was transformed once
again into Sammi. A dresser appeared and to his surprise she was carrying
the black dress that he had opened the show with the night before. He
stepped into the dress and felt the familiar thrill as it was zipped up
at the back. 3 inch heels were added and Sam's helpers declared
themselves satisfied.
"In you go Sammi knock them dead," said his dresser encouragingly, giving
him a little push towards the door. Sam opened the door a crack and saw
Ellie still talking to the group. Ellie looked up as Sam made his
entrance. The journalists had their backs to him and it wasn't until
Ellie said, "Ah here is Sammi now," that they all whirled round.
Sam glided down the studio between the rows of chairs conscious of the
gasps from the audience. The gasps turned into a positive uproar as the
group suddenly noticed the same splint on his finger they had seen on the
hand of Josie's boyfriend.
Ellie eventually restored order and then addressed the group.
"Ladies and gentlemen I do apologise for my little deception, but I
simply could not resist the chance to tease you all."
There was a babble of voices all clamouring to ask their questions. Ellie
raised her hands and the hubbub gradually subsided.
"Sammi is indeed the Sam you saw earlier and yes he really is an elite
amateur boxer and he is also Josie's boyfriend. Now if you all promise to
be good I will tell you the story of how I found him. After that we can
answer some of your questions."
Ellie then proceeded to tell the story of how Sam was discovered and
recruited while the audience sat spellbound. When she had finished and
called for questions it seemed that everyone had one.
"Are you gay?"
Sam: "No I love women, especially that one," pointing at Josie.
"Do you enjoy modeling women's clothes?"
Sam: "Yes very much."
"What does your girlfriend think?"
Sam: "Let's ask her."
Josie: "I love him to bits whatever he is wearing, but I go crazy when I
see him in a dress"
"Were you inspired by Andreja Pejic?"
Sam: "No but I have great admiration for what she has done. I really just
fell into this by accident. But I don't think I would be modeling if
Andrea had not paved the way."
"What do your boxing team mates say?"
Sam: The girls are really jealous and the guys couldn't care less."
After the conference ended Ellie took Sam and Josie out to lunch and then
gave them both the rest of the day off.
When they got up the next morning Sam and Josie found Leigh and Kat
pouring over the morning papers reading reviews of the fashion show of 2
nights ago.
"You made a big splash Sammi," said Kat as she threw across the fashion
page of one of the daily's.
"New Model at Ellie Dean is a Boxer and a Man," screamed one headline. It
described both the show and the surprising unveiling of Sam. For the next
few minutes they all dissected the reviews all of which were favourable.
Sam started to make breakfast for the 4 of them but he was interrupted by
his phone. He picked it up and saw that it was from Ellie.
"Big news Sammi darling; you are going to be on BBC tomorrow morning.
I've just had Carol Alton on the phone, she's the presenter of "Around
Town," and they are desperate to feature you in their show. I know you
will be nervous about going so public but really it was inevitable and
Josie and I will be on the show with you to hold your hand."
Sam was silent for so long that Ellie said, "Sammi are you still there?"
"Yes I'm just trying to process it all," said Sam. He felt his legs begin
to shake and had to sit down.
"Big question; do I present as Sam or Sammi?"
"Glad you asked that one," replied Ellie. "Here is how they want to play
it if you are agreeable. Could you go to your boxing gym today? They want
to film you as Sam the boxer, training, sparring and whatever else you
do. They plan to show that first and then they will go live. Josie and I
will be sitting there with the host Jemma Goodhew and then you will walk
in as Sammi Edwards, new super model."
Sam said that we could go to his old boxing club where he still taught
and where everyone knew of his new career.
"Excellent," said Ellie, "I'll send a car round for you so that you can
pick up your training gear and go on to the club. Then you can come here
after and we can try some dresses for the show. Then I'll pick you and
Josie up tomorrow and we'll go over to the studio. The show starts at 10
am but they want us there by 9 for makeup."
Appearing on Around Town
Sam called his old club and explained the plan. As expected they were
very supportive. He arrived a couple of hours later having collected his
workout gear at the flat. He was met by a woman who introduced herself as
Carol Alton. There was also a camera man present who was busy getting set
up.
Sam warmed up first and then went into the ring with Gerry one of the
trainers. Gerry was very experienced at pad work and moved with both
speed and precision. Carol, who had no experience of boxing was amazed at
the speed at which Sam moved and also the power of his punches. Even
though Gerry was using pads he occasionally winced at the power that Sam
was generating.
"How can someone look so devastating and model beautiful dresses," Carol
thought.
Next Sam switched to skipping and again the rope and Sam's feet seemed to
move in a blur. Finally he completed some impossible looking floor
exercises designed to improve muscle tone and strength, although Carol
doubted that there was much room for improvement in Sam's case.
Carol checked with her camera man and was satisfied with the fotage they
had.
"Okay Sam I will see you tomorrow and I'm sure you will look as
spectacular as you have today."
Sam and Josie spent the rest of the day together and decided to get an
early night to be well rested for their TV debut.
They got up at 7 am and Sam and Josie immediately began nervous
preparations for the interview. As Sam was having his makeup done at the
TV studio he contented himself with just a light session. Ellie had
suggested a stylish but not provocative dress and he and Josie took some
time making their selection. Finally they decided on a stretch knit
skater dress in a lovely shade of dark green. The look was a little
understated but Josie thought that this would be most appropriate for
Sam's first time On TV. They also chose it because Josie had designed it
during her first 2 weeks at Ellie Dean. Ellie settled for a yellow
pleated mini skirt and a black silk blouse. Just after 8 am there was a
knock at the door which proved to be Ellie's driver with Ellie waiting
for them in the back seat. She was dressed in a smart business suit with
a cream blouse.
Ellie looked at Sam with approval.
"That's the perfect look Sammi, just what I would have chosen."
With the early morning traffic they arrived at the studio with 5 minutes
to spare. They were ushered through to a waiting area where Carol met
them and took them over to makeup.
I'll call for you in 30 minutes," she said and hurried off.
Sam found himself the target of eager makeup artists who worked quickly
to get Sam and his two companions ready for the show. When Carol returned
she had Jemma Goodhew with her and they led Sam, Josie and Ellie over to
a reception room and went over details of the show. Jemma went through
the types of questions that she wanted to ask and whether there were any
problems with them. Sam looked them over and did not have any objections,
while Josie and Ellie felt the same way.
"Right," said Jemma briskly. "Let's go onto the set and get you settled
Josie and Ellie. Sammi, you wait here until Carol gives you the word and
then head through those doors and you will be on stage."
Josie and Ellie followed Jemma through to the studio and sat in
comfortable chairs facing the presenter. Jemma looked towards the camera
crew and said,
"Okay live in 5 seconds."
"Welcome to Around Town. We have a very exciting show for you today. Here
with me in the studio is Ellie Dean and Josie Grey, one of her designers.
We will soon be joined by the new modeling sensation Sammi Edwards, but
first let's hear from Ellie as to how she discovered Sammi."
Ellie then outlined the events leading up to her offering a big contract
to Sam.
"As soon as I saw Sammi on the video I knew that this was someone
special," she said.
"In what way?" asked Jemma.
"It wasn't until I saw it that I realised that this was a look that would
be unique in the fashion world. Sammi looked and moved like a predator.
Models have all sorts of different characteristics, but this one is
really unusual and I knew that it would be sensational."
Jemma then turned to Josie and asked her about Sam's first foray into
modeling. Josie described the events leading up to her college show and
Sam's pivotal role.
"Wow, I can't think of many men who would do that for their girlfriends,"
said Jemma.
"Nor can I," said Josie with feeling. "He's one in a million."
"Well," said Jemma, "let's meet Sam Edwards. This is the Sam Edwards we
met yesterday at the boxing club where he still goes to help the young
boxers."
The screen behind them lit up with images of Sam skipping, and doing
intense pad work in the ring. Ellie knew nothing about boxing and was
amazed to see her star model in a completely different light. She could
not get over how fast he was, especially his hand speed.
The film ended and Jemma turned back to the camera and said, "Now let's
meet a different version of Sam Edwards: I give you Sammi Edwards fashion
model for Ellie Dean Women's Wear."
As Sam walked towards the doors into the studio he was embarrassed to
hear the theme from "Rocky," blaring from the studio speakers. He
concentrated on maintaining his poise as he strode across the studio
floor in his 3 inch heels towards the vacant chair next to Josie. He made
an impressive figure; six foot four in heels and moving like an athlete.
He sat gracefully in the chair, crossed one ankle over the other and
smiled at Jemma.
Jemma: "Well I'm not sure which entrance was more impressive, the one you
have just given us or the one before it on the screen."
Sam: "Well they are certainly different."
Jemma: "I'm amazed that you have been doing this for such a short time."
Sam: "I have had excellent teachers."
Jemma: "Yes I understand that you have been dressing exclusively as a
woman and flatting with 3 young women, including Josie here. How has that
been?"
Sam: "I've been living with 3 beautiful women for the last few weeks so
of course it has been amazing."
Jemma: "I suspect some of our viewers struggle with the idea of a man
modeling women's clothes. How would you respond?"
Sam: "I can understand that, but it is not unique. Before she
transitioned Andrea Pejic was celebrated as an androgynous model
displaying both men's and women's clothes and there have been others.
Interestingly women seem much more accepting of a man modeling their
clothing than the other way around. Maybe that is a reflection of how
society sees gender roles."
Jemma: "Yes I am sure that to some people you are confusing. Being a
boxer seems to be one of the most masculine things someone could do,
whereas modeling high end dresses on a catwalk looks the epitome of
femininity."
Sam: "I don't think my team mates in the boxing squad would agree with
that characterisation. Currently we have 3 female boxers in the squad,
but their gender is never a factor; they are fighters pure and simple. We
train together, including sparring and no one holds back."
Jemma: "What impact do you think your modeling career might have on young
people, especially boys who are often encouraged to "be a man?"
Sam: "I'm not expecting too much, but it would be nice to think that some
kids might be encouraged to be themselves instead of following the herd.
I've always had trouble with the expression "be a man." My father was a
man and what a deadbeat he turned out to be. He abandoned us when I was
18 months old and Mum was pregnant with the twins. There seems to be this
crazy idea in our society that only men can be strong and brave. Well
tell that to all the single Mums working their arses off to provide a
decent life for their family. I know because that was my Mum. She also
stood up to some criminal drug dealers who were targeting kids in our
area. She's not a man, but she's got more guts than anyone else I know."
Jemma then brought Josie and Ellie back into the conversation and after a
few more minutes the show came to an end.
Once they were off camera Sam was hugged in turn by Jemma, Josie and
Ellie. No sooner than they finished Carol came in and added her hug.
"You were brilliant Sammi; I am delighted with how the show went," said
Jemma.
"That was one of our best shows in ages," added Carol.
Sam, Ellie and Josie left the studio and were collected by Ellie's driver
who took them back to the office.
Susan Edwards turned off the TV and wiped her eyes. She had burst into
tears when she heard her son talking about her on national television and
now she felt that her heart would burst with pride.
In another part of the city a man shook his head as he turned off the TV
and with a grim smile he sat down at his computer and started to type.
After the Show
The next day Sam and Josie headed into the office at their usual time.
Sam was needed for some photo shoots of autumn and winter fashions and
Josie was busy on designs for spring of the following year. Just as they
arrived Ellie's secretary told them that Ellie wanted to see them and
that they were to go right through.
Ellie was at her desk not looking happy. She had a grey haired man with
her who she introduced as David Bronson from the legal department.
"Sit down you two; you are not going to like what I have to show you,"
she said pushing one of the tabloid daily papers across to them. London
has several morning papers, some of which were conceived in the gutter.
Full of sensational and often lurid inaccuracies they take apparent
delight in stirring up unneeded controversy and intolerance. Just such an
example was facing Sam and Josie.
"Sissy Boxer Sensation," screamed the headline on page 3. Underneath was
the by-line, Jensen Caulton. Sam and Josie stiffened. Jensen Caulton was
notorious as a muck raking hack, who had a perverse penchant for pseudo
moralistic commentaries. In particular he liked to torment the LGBT
community and of course was fanatically opposed to same sex marriage. In
many ways he was the sexist odious mouthpiece of the papers equally
sexist, odious, but very rich owner. Sam and Josie began to read the
article and as she did so Josie felt a growing rage burning inside her.
It ran: "I developed a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach as I watched
this morning's BBC edition of Around Town. It featured the grotesque
spectacle of a "man" in a dress, who is apparently the new modeling
sensation of the always crazy world of fashion. Presumably this is some
sort of publicity stunt by Ellie Dean who apparently sponsors this
creature. What makes this story different though is that the individual
in drag is a boxer, named Sam Edwards, who is currently on the Great
Britain boxing squad and could conceivably, heaven forbid, represent our
country at next year's Olympic Games.
I could not believe what I was seeing. The possibility that someone who
likes to prance around in women's clothes could represent us on the world
stage is just appalling. If Sammi, as the host called him/her wants to
make a spectacle of him/herself then I say let him/her. I'm no prude, but
this is going too far in our already overly permissive society.
I call on the officials of our Olympic boxing programme to give this
sissy the hook. Actually perhaps they could do him/her a service by
introducing a new boxing category, the pantyweight division where
individuals such as Sam Edwards could flourish."
By the time they finished reading Josie was red in the face with anger.
Sam by contrast looked faintly amused.
Ellie also looked angry.
"Sammi I am mortified that you had to read this contemptible piece of
effluent. I know that I warned you of an unfavourable reaction from some
quarters but I never anticipated anything like this. I have asked David
from our legal department to take a look to see if this is actionable.
David, what do you think?"
"Well," said David cautiously, "Sam might have a case for libel. The
piece is especially nasty and personal. However these matters are never
straightforward and even strong cases can fail. Also you can be sure that
Caulton had this cleared by their legal department before publication.
The other thing to consider is that the owner of this particular rag
often welcomes litigation because it seems to boost sales.
We can look into it and get a more specialised legal opinion, but I would
say that decision should come from Sam. Sam what do you think?"
Sam's seemed to be the least affected of all of them by the story.
"There is no way I am going to give this piece of rubbish any
consideration at all. As far as I'm concerned it is the product of a sick
mind and should not be dignified by any response. Mind you I thought
pantyweight was quite funny."
"But Sam," began Josie, but Sam interrupted her.
"No buts Josie, I am simply not going to let this piece of crap affect
me. I'll do my fighting where it counts; in the ring," he said. With a
grin he then added, "The rest of my time I'll spend on the catwalk."
When she got home from work Sophie handed her Mum the newspaper and said,
"You aren't going to like this Mum."
After she read it Susan Edwards said, "You are right Sophie, I don't like
it and we are going to do something about it."
"What Mum?"
"I don't know yet but rest assured I'll think of something and when I do
someone is going to be very, very sorry."
Back at Ellie Dean Sam completed the photo shoot by mid-afternoon and
once again Ellie called him into her office.
"My phones been ringing off the hook Sammi and all the calls have been
supporting you and expressing outrage at what that little turd wrote.
Let's get Josie up here; I'm taking you both out to dinner and we'll get
roaring drunk."
"Sounds good," said Sam, "This will have to be the last of your specials
Ellie because next week I am back at the center and won't be able to
indulge; well not as much."
"So that means you will be moving out of the flat and back to North
London?"
"Yes, but I'll get another 2 weeks break in the spring where I can do
more work for you."
"I can't wait to get you back in dresses Sammi, even though you still
are. Since it's your last week let's invite Kat and Leigh to join us; 5
girls going crazy."
"Sounds wonderful," said Sam.
The night was indeed memorable and when Ellie's car dropped them off they
all had great difficulty in managing the stairs to their flat. The next
morning was not a pleasant time for any of them but youth has its
advantages and by lunchtime they had all recovered.
Sam and Sammi Continue Their Journey
Sam was not prepared for the welcome he received when he came back to the
boxing center on the first day. All his team mates and the support staff
gave a big cheer when he walked in to the gym. They had all read the
piece in the paper and were appalled and incensed by the viciousness of
the attack and their reaction was to close ranks around him.
Within minutes of him starting training again it felt as though he had
never stopped and somehow he found a new energy that showed through in
his workouts. After one especially intense sparring session with Sally
Trace, which had been conducted at tremendous speed, he said",
"Sally you might want to check in your equipment bag."
"Why's that," she asked.
"Just check."
Sally went into the changing room and ran out moments later squealing and
throwing her arms around Sam's neck.
"An Ellie Dean dress; Sam you are the greatest!"
"Only the best middleweights wear Ellie Dean," replied Sam.
Sally giggled and gave him another hug.
The next few months were very busy for Sam and mainly revolved around his
training and a number of competitive bouts. One disappointment was that
he was unable to fight at the European Championship because he came down
with the flu. His replacement lost in the first round of the competition
and so was not considered likely for selection for the Olympics.
Because of very good time management Sam was able to do quite a lot of
work for Ellie. At first his trainers were worried that this would be a
distraction from his training. However the opposite proved to be the
case. Boxers require quite a lot of down time and going into the starkly
contrasting world of fashion made Sam much more relaxed. This showed in
his increasingly impressive performances in the gym. He was a much more
noticeable figure whether he went out as Sam or Sammi, but overall the
public treated him with respect. Once when he was in a pub having a quiet
drink with a couple of team mates a few yobos started making pointed
remarks. However when Max Cholie, who was with Sam, turned and stared at
them they quickly decided to find a different place to drink.
He took part in a couple of spring fashion shows, one in Milan and the
other in London. At these shows he exclusively modelled Ellie Dean
dresses. He also landed some top advertising contracts with Ellie's help.
He was featured in a Burberry commercial which went viral shortly after
its release. In it he was wearing a wool and silk box pleated skirt with
high boots and of course the traditional Burberry trench coat. He was
carrying a backpack in the Burberry colours and was getting into the back
of a luxury car. The car travelled through brightly lit streets to an
auditorium where a boxing tournament was taking place. Sam exited the car
carrying his bag and was guided inside by 2 uniformed ushers who
accompanied him to the dressing rooms. The ad concluded with the message,
"Burberry has an outfit for every occasion."
In addition he also featured in commercials for shampoo, shoes, makeup
and Omega watches.
In mid-June he received the call he had been anxiously waiting for.
"Is that you Sam? It's Reg Penderfield here; I'm just calling to
congratulate you. You've been selected for the GB team for this year's
Olympics. All the very best of luck, I know you will do us proud."
Sam's shriek of delight had Josie running to see what all the fuss was
about. When she found out her shriek was even louder than his and then
they hugged for a long time.
After the team was announced publicly Jensen Caulton went into print
again decrying the decision and saying how it was an embarrassment to the
rest of the team and the country. He concluded by wondering whether Sam
would be wearing a skirt during the opening ceremony as this was part of
the women's uniform. When a journalist asked Sam about this comment he
deadpanned by saying,
"I'm just so honoured to be representing my country; I'll wear whatever
they give me."
About 2 weeks before Sam was due to leave Vogue featured him on their
cover, wearing one of Ellie Dean's dresses that he had modelled in Milan.
They added an extra feature, which was a pair of boxing gloves that hung
from his neck. Inside there was a full interview with Sam which reviewed
his life story and went into his views on issues such as gender
stereotypes, homophobia, bullying and being a non-conformist. Sam had
been unsure of what to wear for the interview; whether to go as Sam or
Sammi. In the end he decided to wear his Olympic training uniform of long
sleeve T-shirt and navy blue tracksuit. Sam really hit it off with his
interviewer an attractive woman in her mid-thirties named Rachel. Because
he felt so comfortable talking to her he became quite open in response to
her questions. Here is a sample;
Rachel: "Should I call you Sam or Sammi?"
Sam: "I'm only Sammi when I'm wearing a dress or skirt, so let's stay
with Sam."
Rachel: "This question is a little personal so feel free not to answer if
it makes you feel uncomfortable. You started modelling women's fashions
about a year ago; do you just wear them when you are modelling or do you
enjoy wearing them outside of work?"
Sam: "Well the easy answer would be to say that I only wear dresses as a
well-paid job. However the truth is that I have come to enjoy; no not
enjoy, love, wearing skirts and dresses. When I'm relaxing at home with
Josie, my girlfriend, I'm more likely to be in skirts or dresses; they
feel so much more comfortable."
Rachel: "Do you enjoy feeling feminine?"
Sam: "Yes very much. It's a feeling most guys never get to experience and
I feel lucky that I have."
Rachel: "Wow that is really honest; thank you Sam. Has it affected your
boxing at all?"
Sam: "If anything I think I am performing better in the ring. Maybe
because of all the training, but also I think because I am so relaxed at
home."
Rachel: "So you dress like a girl but you don't fight like one, is that
it?"
Sam: "I would love to fight like a girl, if that girl was Claressa
Shields, Katie Taylor or Nicola Adams, who are all absolute legends in
their divisions."
Rachel: "It sounds like you really like women."
Sam: "No I absolutely love women, but most especially my Mum and my
girlfriend Josie."
One of Sam's comments to the interviewer received a lot of social media
attention.
"Society needs to value the person who is different, not shun them.
Celebrating diversity is one measure of a society's health."
Two days before Sam's departure Ellie threw a huge going away party for
him at the office. Naturally it was extravagantly catered with the best
food and wines, although Sam and his team mates, who were also invited,
were careful not to over indulge.
Susan Edwards was of course invited together with Sophie and Kyle. Susan
and Ellie immediately hit it off. Ellie pulled her over to the wardrobe
section.
"Susan, take as many dresses as you can carry," she said.
"Thanks but I'm not sure when I would wear them."
"Trust me Susan there are going to be many occasions in the future when
you will."
During the evening Susan was seen in deep conversation with Ellie. After
a few minutes they called Kat, Leigh, Sophie and Kyle over to join them.
"That lot look as though they are up to something," observed Josie.
"Well watch out because I think Elle and my Mum would be a deadly
combination," warned Sam.
All of Sam's team mates enjoyed the party but none more than Sally Trace
who left with 2 more dresses and a huge smile on her face.
Sam spent the last day at the flat with Josie, attending to all the last
minute details that inevitably crop up before a trip.
"Have you got your passport?" asked Josie for the 5th time? Sam assured
her that he had.
That night in their bedroom Josie slowly undressed Sam.
"No nightdress tonight my darling, I'm sleeping with Sam."
They got into bed together.
"Make love to me Sam," whispered Josie and Sam did.
Josie fell into a contented sleep after their love making but Sam lay
awake a long time staring at the ceiling. He couldn't stop the whirring
of his mind; having to leave Josie tomorrow, appearing in the Olympic
Games; would he fail at the first fight? That thought really bothered
him; then coming home to face the ridicule of Jensen Caulton and those
like him. Eventually he did fall into a fitful sleep only to be woken by
the alarm all too soon. He struggled out of bed, showered and dressed
before waking Josie. Ellie was sending a car to take Sam to the airport
so they had time for a leisurely breakfast. Neither spoke very much,
although both wanted to tell each other so much.
When the car arrived Sam and Josie were surprised to see Ellie, Kat and
Leigh.
"We wanted to give you a proper send-off," Kat explained.
They all went into the terminal with Sam where he met up with other
members of the GB team.
At security Sam held Josie for a long time neither able to speak Finally
Sam managed to say,
"Josie I love you so very much," as he disengaged himself from her grasp.
"Be safe Sam, my darling," she managed in a choking voice
She watched him disappear through the screen door and dissolved into deep
sobs. Her 3 friends immediately moved in to comfort her.
The Olympics
Sam quickly settled into life at the athlete's village. His days
consisted mostly of training and relaxing, which he did by watching some
of the other events. The draw for his weight division came out and it
looked reasonably favourable to Sam. The overwhelming favourite in the
middleweight division was a fighter from Khazakstahn, Oraz Abdulin who
had never been beaten and had won gold at the last Olympics. Fortunately
he was on the other side of the draw, so they would only meet if both
reached the finals.
Back in London Josie felt very lonely, so she moved back into the flat
with Kat and Leigh, who did their best to soothe her anxiety. During the
day Ellie kept her busy to take her mind off Sam. Sam was able to call
her on his computer and seeing him every night helped ease her pain.
Sam was involved in the second day of the boxing programme, drawn against
a German fighter who had won a bronze medal at the recent European
championship.
"Sam, don't hold back against this guy," Terry, his trainer, told him.
"Judging in boxing can be notoriously bad and like it or not you have to
accept that your "other," career doesn't go down very well in some
quarters."
Sam was nervous going into the ring but once the fight started all his
anxiety slipped away. He felt comfortable and in control the whole way
but was surprised with the result. Although he was awarded the decision
the judges had scored it more closely than most observers thought.
"Glad that is over," thought Sam as he left the ring, "I think I have
cleared a major hurdle."
Josie was of course delighted with his win but most particularly because
he had not been hurt.
Sam's next fight was an easier experience. He felt more fluid and his
opponent was less awkward than the German he met in the first round. This
time Sam was a comfortable winner. After two rounds of the competition 6
of Sam's team mates had qualified for the next round so the mood within
the group was quite upbeat. On his rest days Sam was able to watch some
of the track and field where he saw some memorable performances including
gold medals for Great Britain in the women's 200 metres, and the men's
javelin.
Although Sam's fights were shown live in Britain, Josie felt unable to
watch and would wait anxiously until someone told her the result, at
which point she would cheer madly.
After another win Sam found himself in the semi-final where he was facing
a tough American opponent. His trainers were delighted with his
performance because they had not expected him to do so well, as he lacked
the experience of some of the other fighters. 3 other fighters from
Britain also made the semi-finals of their division including Sally Trace
and Max Cholie.
Going into the bout Sam felt very confident and surprised his trainers by
easily outpointing his opponent. It looked as though the American was
having an off night, but in reality it was Sam who made him look quite
ordinary. Sally and Max also made it through to the finals to the delight
of the GB team. In some ways Sam had flown under the radar in the
middleweight division. All the attention had been on the other side of
the draw and his opponent in the final, the fearsome Oraz Abdulin.
Abdulin had won all his preliminary fights by knockout; only one of them
going beyond the first round. It was seriously suggested that he would
beat even the best of the professionals. Few people gave Sam any chance
at all.
The three finals were all on the same night and Ellie had organised a
special fight watching party in the display area of the office. There was
a huge 12 foot by 12 foot screen with a projector that gave the feeling
of being in a movie theatre. Of course being Ellie she had the event
catered by one of the best firms in London, with wonderful food and wine,
plus a full bar service. All the staff was invited as well as Susan,
Sophie and Kyle and one or two of their friends. On the morning of the
final a disturbing item appeared on the news from the Olympic center. It
was a video clip from the odious Jensen Caulton purporting to show a
preview of the fight that had been doing the rounds of social media.
Caulton said that he was going to feature the two contestants for the
Olympic final. First he showed Abdulin and his knockout victories and
when it came time to show Sam what appeared was Sam modelling dresses in
the Milan fashion show. The clip concluded with Caulton's smirking face
announcing that Sam Edwards was unlikely to be able to do any more
modelling after Abdulin had finished with him. The clip had caused
outrage in the British camp and most of the British media said they found
it highly offensive. Sam was of course completely unmoved.
The TV coverage from the boxing center was due to begin at 8pm and by 6
the party was in full swing. The guests disposed of the food first and
then got onto the serious matter of keeping the barman busy. Ellie had
arranged for comfortable seating and when the first fight was announced
they all grabbed drinks and sat down. Sally Trace was first up and the
room erupted in shouts of delight as Sally cruised to a convincing win on
points over her Dutch opponent. After two more fights it was time for
Sam's bout. Josie was sitting next to Ellie and Susan and when she saw
Abdulin enter the ring and watched the clip of his previous fights her
face contorted in horror.
She squeezed Ellie's hand whimpering, "Oh no, no my poor Sammi," as tears
flooded down her cheeks.
Susan on her other side put her arm around her
"Don't worry Josie, Sam's a big boy, he can take care of himself."
"But the other one looks so horrible," wailed Josie.
While they waited for Sam to make his entrance the camera went to the 2
BBC commentators. The colour commentator was being asked to speak about
the upcoming fight. He was a highly respected former world champion and
an astute commentator.
"Sam Edwards will have his hands full tonight, but what he should be able
to count on is the support of his country. Instead he has been the victim
of one of the most disgraceful and gutless media attacks I've ever
witnessed. I highly doubt whether Jensen Caulton has seen the inside of a
boxing ring; how dare he humiliate someone who has fought his way to the
final of a very competitive boxing tournament. Perhaps he can use this as
further motivation tonight."
This was greeted with loud cheers from everyone at the party. The room
suddenly became quiet as the camera zoomed in on Sam making his entrance.
Ellie sat transfixed as Sam moved down the aisle towards the ring. She
was used to seeing him moving on a catwalk in a dress but now he seemed a
totally different animal. She had recognised and used his predatory look
when modelling her dresses, but now the look was much more raw. He moved
with the easy grace of a dangerous animal.
Once the fight started Josie closed her eyes and gripped Ellie's hand
fiercely. She could not bear to watch her beloved Sam get hurt. She
tensed every time she heard oohs and aahs from those around her and only
opened her eyes when the bell went to end round one.
"He's doing okay," said Susan encouragingly.
"He hasn't been hurt has he," Josie asked anxiously.
"He's fine," said Susan reassuringly.
Josie clamped her eyes firmly shut again as soon as the second round
started. Suddenly she heard a huge roar from the party and she felt her
arm jerked as Ellie had jumped to her feet. Nervously she opened her eyes
and gasped as she saw Abdulin on the canvas. As Sam moved in for the kill
Josie was on her feet screaming him on and flailing the air with punches
of her own. The noise rose to an epic level as Abdulin went down again
under a barrage of punches from Sam and the referee stopped the contest.
Josie was beside herself, hugging Ellie and Susan and then anyone who
came within reach and all the time shrieking in joy and amazement. The
celebration went on and on and even Maxi Cholie losing his contest
narrowly failed to dampen the excitement. They only became quiet an hour
later as they watched the medal ceremony for first Sally and then Sam. As
she watched Sam standing on the top step of the podium receiving his
medal and the Union Jack begin its stately rise up the flagpole Josie
dissolved once again in tears, but this time tears of joy.
Gradually the party began to break up, but not before Susan pulled Leigh,
Kat, Sophie and Kyle into a huddle and spoke earnestly to them for 10
minutes.
After the Fight
An hour later in another part of the city Jensen Caulton was not having a
good night. He was in a bar where he had spent the evening getting
steadily drunk. He had watched in horror as Sam Edwards had destroyed
Abdulin in the final, which had made his earlier goading appear crass and
vindictive. Earlier he had received a severe bollocking from his boss, as
even the bigoted owner of the paper had been offended by Caulton's video
stunt. Then to make matters even worse that bastard on BBC had publicly
excoriated him before the final. It had been a bad day.
He reached for his glass and as he did so became aware that a beautiful
tall blond woman had slid onto the bar stool next to him She smiled
encouragingly and just for a moment his gloom lifted a little. They began
to talk and he was pleased that she was an unusually intelligent woman as
she appeared to hang on every word he said. He bought her a drink and
then one for the equally beautiful black woman who walked into the bar
and joined them. He was so oblivious of what was going on around him that
he did not notice the man on his other side, even when he slipped
something into his drink. Things became very blurry after that. He
remembered something about going back with the girls to their hotel and
when they got there one of them suggested that they should go on to a
night club that had a special fancy dress theme. When he slurred that he
didn't have a costume one of the girls said that she just happened to
have something that would fit him. She explained that she would turn off
the light so that he would not get embarrassed while they helped him
dress. This was achieved with a lot of laughter all round and a few nips
from a whisky bottle that one of the girls just happened to have with
her. Eventually they staggered outside supporting each other and
giggling. Miraculously a car was waiting outside driven by another woman
and soon they were pulling up outside a very brightly lit club in Soho.
He remembered loud music inside the club, more drinking and very
uncoordinated dancing and strobe lighting. He was vaguely aware of
leaving the club because of the noise outside and the flashing of bright
lights, but after that there was only darkness.
He awoke to a dull thudding in his head which reached a roar when he
tried to move. It was mid-afternoon and the sun was streaming through the
un-curtained window. He tried to focus his eyes and realised that he was
lying on a bed in a seedy room which appeared to be part of a seedy
hotel. His sight cleared a little and he looked down and froze with
horror. He was wearing an old black leather mini skirt together with
fishnet stockings and on his feet were 4 inch high ankle boots. His
outfit was topped off with a garish pink sequined top with a low neckline
that just showed part of a black lacy bra. He staggered out of bed and
felt the room spin He just made it to the bathroom in time to throw up
into the toilet. He knelt on the floor for a while desperately trying to
work out what had happened the night before, but everything was rather
vague. When he got up he looked in the mirror and saw the reflection was
familiar; well the face was, but how the hell did he end up in these
tarty clothes. He went back into the room to find his usual clothes but
they were not there. Instead he saw a note propped up on a desk. He read
it with growing terror.
"Dearest Jensen
What a lovely time we had with you last night! You make such a cute girl!
We saw how much you enjoyed yourself so we decided to let you keep your
new clothes. Of course you won't be needing the old ones so we took them
with us and are dropping them at a charity shop. You were so generous
last night spending all your money on us that we felt a little guilty and
so we've left you a pound for your bus fare.
Oh Jensen sweetie, we almost forgot; we've got a lovely surprise for you.
We met some nice men from one of the newspapers outside the club. They
were so surprised to see you that they took your picture (quite a few
actually) and promised to put your story in their paper. Isn't that
wonderful?
Well Jensen we just had to see if they kept their word; and guess what,
they did!!
We didn't want to disturb you so we slipped a copy of the paper under
your door. Its page 3 and you look gorgeous!
Bye sweetie
Your friends
Tish and Tash
Unable to comprehend what was happening Caulton tottered over on his
heels to the door and picked up the paper. It was one of the competitors
of the one he wrote for; in the sense that they both had the same low
standards.
On the cover the headline read "Edwards wins sensational gold."
Caulton winced and with fingers trembling turned to page 3. It was worse
than anything he could have imagined. There were two pictures, the larger
of which took up most of the page. It was a full frontal of Caulton
leering into the camera, fully recognisable. He was holding hands with a
man who was dressed in the Liberace style and Liberace had his hand up
Caulton's skirt. The smaller photo showed him being deeply and
passionately kissed by a man dressed like a biker. Both pictures featured
the clubs brightly lit neon sign, "The Pink Tuxedo," an over the top gay
bar.
The headline ran:
"Jensen Caulton celebrates Sam Edwards gold medal with a night on the
town." Underneath was printed, "Perhaps Jensen is considering a career in
modelling himself/herself? Don't give up your day job Jensen. Woops maybe
that won't be necessary."
Caulton rushed to the bathroom again and was violently sick.
Just when Caulton thought that his situation could not get any worse
there was a knock at the door.
"Who's there?" he asked nervously.
"The manager Mr. Caulton; you are 20 minutes over your check-out time and
our lobby is full of people waiting for you. Could you please come down
immediately because we really don't have room for such a crowd?"
Meanwhile back at the Olympic Broadcasting Center Sam was sitting with
Sally Trace. They both were wearing their GB track suits and they both
had gold medals around their necks. The interviewer was having Sally
describe her feelings at being Olympic champion.
"It hasn't really sunk in yet," she said. "We have all worked so hard and
now to have a gold medal it's just unbelievable."
"What did you do to celebrate?"
"We had a huge party with the rest of the team."
She then turned to Sam.
"And how did you celebrate Sam?"
"Same as Sally but today she took me to a jewellers and I had my ears
pierced."
"What will your girlfriend say?"
"I'm sure she will be pleased."
"Well let's ask her shall we? We have Josie standing by in our London
studio."
The screen in front of Sam lit up and he saw Josie facing him. For a
moment he was too overcome with emotion to speak.
The interviewer said, "Well Sam is there anything you want to say to your
girlfriend?"
Sam took a deep breath. "Josie will you marry me?"
Josie's hands shot to her mouth in astonishment She stared into the
camera. "Yes, yes, yes," she gasped.
Sam was immediately hugged by Sally.
The interviewer grinned mischievously.
"Which one of you will be wearing the white dress?"
"She will," said Sam.
"He will," said Josie at the same moment.
After the laughter died down the interviewer said, "Well you could of
course get married twice."
The Flight
The 747 continued its smooth homeward run. Sam, stretched out in the
First Class bed, was on the edge of sleep. His mind drifted back to the
interview where he had proposed to Josie.
"What was it the woman had said?"
"You could get married twice."
"Now how could that work?" he thought. "Maybe Ellie could help. Even
better, Josie could design the dress, my dress."
With happy thoughts of gorgeous wedding dresses over fluffy petticoats
dancing in his head Sam finally drifted into a very contented sleep.
