Allison spoke up to respond right away. “That’s easy, Jon. Tabitha can go first because I’m leaving town tomorrow with my family. It’s supposed to be a big family thing, going to Orlando for my birthday.” She looked at Tabitha and giggled. “Just don’t wear him out completely while I’m gone. I’ve got big plans for my wish.”

Tabitha blushed as she heard Jon chuckling at the request. “I’m thinking,” she answered to avoid saying anything else. She was just thinking to herself how she really had gotten what she wanted already. She knew this would not be the only time the three of them got together. She would wish for something else. From the time that Allison had asked if she needed to get home, Tabitha had thought about her mother. Wanting her wish to count for something, her mind drifted a little. She grinned as she realized what she wanted. Deciding to not say anything right now, she leaned against Jon and closed her eyes.

“Tonight was great, you guys. Thanks for letting me join.” Tabitha smiled as she began to drift off to sleep.

“I had fun too, Tabitha,” Allison whispered, seeing Tabitha was falling asleep. She sat up, reaching beside her and pulled on the blanket, arranging it to cover the three of them.

As Allison laid back down beside Jon, he gently squeezed the girl’s arms and replied, “Best night of my life so far.” Closing his eyes with a smile on his face, he started to imagine what wishes the girls would make.
