When you wear different types of clothes you can project a certain image. When you shed those clothes you present the real you. You know you are "comfortable" in your own skin, when you can be totally at ease, while in the presence of other men and women who are also buck naked. Once you are able to do so, you will feel something that can best be described as "total freedom."
Even doing something as simple as swimming in a pool without a bathing suit, when no one else is around, is an amazing experience, that makes a nudist feel invigorated. Until you have done so, you will have no idea how the wearing of a bathing suit can actually inhibit the amazing feeling that takes place, when water swirls all around and over your ENTIRE body. Having others in the same pool, or on the same beach, who are buck naked can multiple the "rush" that goes along with this feeling of freedom.
I'm convinced that we would be living in a much better world. if more people were able to enjoy a nudist lifestyle. It's also important to remember, that there are different types of nudists. While many nudists go to venues that are devoted to the clothing optional lifestyle, others like me, make every opportunity to strip down and enjoy the great outdoors, while wearing nothing more than a hat and some sunscreen, or a pair of suitable footwear for the conditions. Even in the colder weather, you'd be surprised how intense the sense of freedom can be, when you strip down and drive in a remote location, with the heat in your vehicle on high. (This works just as well while driving buck naked with the AC on or with the windows down). I also believe that being a nudist also makes you a more tolerant person. One reason for this is because the naked body is a beautiful thing to behold and that includes all shapes, sizes and colors. In fact, as crazy as this many sound, many people actually look more attractive when naked, than when you see them wearing clothes.
It's also important to note, that you are not a "nudist" just because you strip down when you have sex with another human being. After all, there are millions of people who have sex with one or more partners, who would never in a million years go to a nude beach, swim in a pool while buck naked, or go hiking without wearing clothes.
I wasn't born a nudist but as I evolved, I felt an emotional pull toward this lifestyle. One of the main reasons I took the so called plunge, was directly related to my law enforcement career. When you work in any type of LE uniform, you become someone else to the bulk of the people that you come in contact with. This is especially the case if you work undercover for any length of time. In other words, the people in the outside world don't know the real you. Adopting different undercover identifies adds to this feeling of isolation. Working in a high crime area can also make you want to escape to a “clean” world where humans aren’t identified, judged or classified by others because of the clothes they wear, the job they perform etc… It was during a long and very successful career, that I felt the NEED to strip my clothes off in the right settings, that was just as powerful as the need to breath.
While there are many others who are a lot more active in this lifestyle than I am, I enjoy EVERY SPLIT SECOND when I am not wearing a stitch of clothing, as much as a more active participant in this lifestyle. There are no d**gs or drinks that can duplicate the sense of freedom and the rush that you feel when you strip down. Enjoy!
