I even went to her house for lunch whenever she invited me on the weekend. I didn’t get to meet her husband the first time. But later on, as we met quite a few times, her husband, a government employee, became a good friend.

At first, she didn’t understand. But after realizing that I called her with the color of her innerwear, she was embarrassed and felt awkward.

After that incident, I went to her home for lunch the next weekend. Her husband couldn’t come home due to some emergency in his government job. We had lunch and discussed our office life till evening and decided to go out. She told me that she will get ready and went to take a bath.

She laughed and said, “If someone else in our office did this to me. I would have filed a harassment case against them.”
We laughed at her statement. She continued her shopping for almost an hour or so, after which I dropped her back at her home. She asked me to stay till her husband comes back and I agreed to it. She changed into a nighty after going home, and we sat on the couch to watch TV.
Time passed, and her husband called her to inform her that it would get late for him to come home. She asked me to leave if I wanted to as it was getting late. I, too, felt that it is too late and my home is a little far from her place. So I told her that I would leave.
She came to the door to bid me goodbye. I asked her, “Just goodbye? No goodbye hug to your friend?” in a normal and funny manner.
Poonam: Nowadays, kids are expecting a lot from friends. Shut up and go, kid.
We laughed, and I left. I don’t know, but after that, I really felt like asking her for a hug at least once. After reaching home, I texted her that I reached safely.

I laughed, and she too stopped scolding and laughed. She left my cabin to get back to work. We didn’t meet each other that day due to a hectic work schedule.
At night, she messaged me to update me on some tasks for the next day. She asked me if there is anything important from my side to tell her.
I texted, “Yes, there is a very important thing that I should ask you.”
Poonam: Go ahead.
Me: You didn’t tell me what color you are wearing today?
Poonam: Ufff, idiot. Get lost.
Me: Hahaha.
Poonam: Stop laughing and sleep.
Me: Okay. Let’s make a deal.
Poonam: What is it?
Me: Tell me what color you are wearing now. I will never tease you with such things ever again.
Poonam: Okay. Green.
Me: How should I believe you?
I just talked to her, forgetting all my boundaries, and just went with the flow. A little fear engulfed me while she took time to reply. Then something that I didn’t expect happened.
She sent me a pic of her bra strap, pulling it a little out from her nighty. After I replied, okay, she deleted it.
I was surprised. That was something I least expected from her. My playful texts landed me into a zone that’s too close to her. But did she do it out of the thought that I am just an innocent guy? Or did she do it to tease me? Or did she want to get rid of my color game once for all?
