I separated from jacob, rounding up the villagers, they all followed me to the vehicles, Wenna was at my side, she helped me get everyone organized and out of the tunnels to the waiting vehicles. She sat next to me on the lead assault vehicle, the caravan was set up to be an assault vehicle two troop transports and the last assault vehicle. I patched into the vehicles taking over their systems, I started the caravan toward the entrance to the tunnels, my sensors picked up the flare from Jacob.
"No" I said to my self.
Wenna looked at me.
"What happen?" She said.
I looked at her.
"Nothing we have to hurry Wenna" I said.
I sped the transports up, rolling over the debris to enter the tunnels, I turned on all the sensors as we entered the tunnel network, I was following the maps that jacob had provided when the sonar of the rear vehicle picked up movement, I focused on the sensors, we where being tailed by something. I activated the vehicles weapons, turning on the rear lights, that when I saw several of the spiders trailing it.
"Wenna tell the villagers to brace themselves." I said as I sped up the vehicles.
Wenna spoke into the intercom like I had showed her.
I started firing with the automated rail guns on the assault vehicle, when ever I hit one another one would pop up, I began to wonder why they wouldn't attack, I got my answer when we entered a large cavern, it was swarming with the aliens, I activated all the weapons and opened fire.
The noise level in the transport picked up as the sound of the battle echoed through the caverns, it seemed like no matter how many I killed more popped up.
"Wenna, tell everyone to get there weapons ready!" I yelled.
My sensors picked up something large in approaching from the front, the ground started to shake, soon a large hole opened in the ground in front of us, a large armored worm emerged from the hole, it roared at the main transport spitting a black liquid all over the vehicle. I fired my MAC guns at it, it roared rearing back and smacking the vehicle with its body, I felt the vehicle flip over to the side impacting the nearest wall. The vehicles alarms waled as the liquid started eating thru the metal armor, I continued to fire for as long as the gun functioned.
Soon the weapons failed, I gave Wenna a rifle and told her to move to the center of the vehicle, I told her to fire at anything that tried to get into the vehicle. I grabbed to rifles and opened the side hatch, climbing out I sealed the hatch behind me, I could tell that no matter how many we killed it would only be a matter of time before we got overwhelmed.
I stood on the overturned vehicle firing full auto into the advancing aliens, I could see the last assualt vehicle being torn apart, I started to fire at the aliens attacking it. I spun around as I detected aliens advancing onto the troop transports. I saw one of the hatches open on the side, 4 of the village hunters jumped out with rifles and started firing.
We where getting overwhelmed fast, I had no idea what to do, soon my rifles clicked empty, I jumped into the oncoming aliens fighting with my armored fist.

From my position I was forced to watch the pill boxes fall one by one, I couldn't move in the armor, I had tried everything, I was screaming in frustration watching the insects approach my location. As the got near me I heard it, Five sonic bombs from my rear, I couldn't turn to see. All I could think was what now.
I felt the heat approaching from my behind, soon I saw what looked like five meteors streak past me, each one crashing into the enemy. I watched amazed as the five objects seemed to explod apart taking out the enemies around each crash sites.
"the hell?"
The smoked cleared from the five sites, I couldn't believe what I saw, standing in each one was a fully armored Marine combat golem. Each carried heavy assault weaponry, the enemy turned advancing on them, I watched amazed as they began firing into the enemy horde. Every where they looked the aliens fell, they where making progress holding back the enemy.
I heard three more successive booms, this time I saw the manned fighters streak over head, dropping bombs into the main enemy advancements. They banked and climbed for another pass, next I heard a rumble come from the sky, I checked what little sensors I had, I detected a large mass falling through the atmosphere, the ground shook so badly that I fell over. Unmoving I could see the sky from my position.
I couldn't believe my eyes, the mass was the Dauntless dropping down from orbit, I could see huge holes in its armor, the whole ship was on fire. I watched in wonder as it slowed, I could see its automated drones launching from its bays, as well as more drop pods being fired into the ground, I could see the MAC Guns extend from its haul, I saw the flashes of it firing into the main enemy force. I could feel the shock waves as the one ton projectiles flew over head and hammered the area where the giant creatures where.
I Saw the stealth recon ship fly toward me, I watched its ramp lower as it hovered above me, A female combat golem ran down the ramp toward me, she grinned at me as she reached me.
"Miss me?"

I was being dragged by one of the aliens, it threw me against the wall, my impact damaged my armor. I heard rumbling, I thought we were going to be attacked by another worm, I rolled to my knees trying to get up, this time the roof of the cave shook, I looked up and saw 3 parts of the cave fall in ward, three large objects crushed the aliens below. I looked as three pods emerged from the debris, they split down the middle, the heavy panels falling on the aliens, Out of the pods stepped three combat Golems. I watched as they began to mow down the aliens with their heavy weapons, the type that only golems could use because of their weight.
