The small sky fires shone that night. Bright and iridescent in the black knit sky, so very high above the group of uneasy men eating around the large fire pit. While the men ate, I addressed them, "For any that may not know, I am Dac of the Jearet clan. I and my mates came to your clan only to reclaim that which was unrightfully taken from us by you and Threm. Having done so, we learned of cruelties taking place within your clan that we found not easy to ignore, and at the request of the strongest woman I have ever met, Martreen, we agreed to help her eradicate all those that practiced these cruelties."
There were a few grunts and nods from the crowd then I continued, "Some of you may be feeling uncomfortable in this situation. Allow me to assure you in time you will see it all for the best, and as it should be. Take advantage of what has taken place here, if not, you will lose everything that has been accomplished with the deaths of Threm and Broc and you will regret it."
"As Martreen told you, why Threm and Broc are dead should be obvious, as for the others, I am a patient man... willing to forgive most things on the Earth Mother's terms of forgiveness, but what I cannot forgive is arbitrary pain and suffering inflicted upon a woman for the shear pleasure of it. Another thing I will not forgive is any harm coming to someone I care about..." I paused for effect then added, "Martreen is someone I care very much about. If any harm comes to Martreen I will hold each and every one of you responsible and I will personally end your life!"
I looked from left to right, then right to left, making eye contact with as many of them as possible letting them know just how serious I was before continuing, "A new time has come, and only Martreen can show you the path to this new time."
Several questioning stares prompted me to explain, "In this new time, women will hunt if they wish to do so. In this new time, women will lead if they have the ability. In this new time, men will learn to do things more efficiently and hunt less. In this new time, fire will be made from stone. In this new time, salt will be in abundance. In this new time, different clans will work together to make life easier for all. Believe me when I tell you, this new time will be a better time for everyone."
I may have shocked them, but at the end of my speech, the men got up, mingled and talked in small groups and one-on-one. Soon six men walked up to me. The oldest of the six spoke, "Dac of the Jearet clan I am Resran." He held up his hand in the formal clan greeting, "We men are ashamed of our cowardness and we thank you for what you have done. Broc would have made himself clan leader in the place of the dead Therm. Then indeed would we have had a more villainous ruler than the hated tyrant who fell before your spear."
"I am pleased to hear that you understand why we did what we did here today Resran, you and the others have made a friend this day. I thank you." I responded.
"And again thank you Dac of the Jearet clan. In our embarrassment we have learned something of ourselves this day. And although it is still difficult for some to accept a woman as leader, I too agree Martreen will do well for this clan. In spite of the difficulty for some to accept right away, please believe, most if not all the men of this clan will contentedly protect Martreen with their own lives if necessary."
I smiled and placed my hand on his shoulder, "Thank you again Resran. I hope you will not be turned from the stern purpose of defending this clan and my beloved Martreen."
"I will not. I promise to you." Resran responded.
Just then Iega came running over and somewhat out of breath he said, "Dac, Martreen asks that you join her in the last traveling hut." He pointed to the hut where I had spied Treeya washing herself.
I thanked the men for their time then excused myself and went to the last hut on the left as requested.
On entering, what a sight met my eyes! All four women, Roya, Sheel, Treeya and Martreen sat cross-legged around the fire pit, all with large grins on their faces. All four were dressed only in their jumpsuits because their leather shirts had been removed and were now laying across their laps, with freshly cut spear straps lying on top of Treeya's and Martreen's.
"We didn't want to start without you Dac." Roya told me with a smile, "We were afraid we wouldn't get the measurements correct without your help."
"That was a wise decision. You can never be too careful with such a critical task." I assured her as I sat down across from them. Now the grin was on my face.
"Now let's see..." Sheel said placing her index finger on her temple as if she were trying to remember something, "the first thing is... let me think... oh yes, we need to slip the top of our jumpsuits down so they won't get in the way. Is that right Dac?"
My grin got even bigger when I answered, "You have a good memory Sheel. That's exactly right."
"Ladies," Roya addressed the other women, and in less than a heart beat four tops were pulled down and I watched in rapt fascination as eight of the most magnificent breasts popped free and swelled and then eight nipples harden as cool air rushed to meet all that glorious pale skin, right before my eyes.

With Sheel and Roya helping, Martreen and Treeya fitted then removed spears into and out of their new spear straps several times getting use to them. Treeya was having a more difficult time than Martreen, undoubtedly associated with the flush of sexual desire still marked on her face.
We left the hut then ate together making small talk. After we had finished eating the women went off to some unknown chores of their own and I talked with Iega. His assessment was that the men of this clan were so relieved that Threm and Broc were gone, it was his opinion that even accepting a woman as leader should not be a big problem, and that I could believe Rasren's words.
Roya and Martreen joined us and Iega excused himself then headed toward the large winter hut.
Roya kissed me on the cheek saying, "We've prepared the hut for the bonding ceremony."
"Well... I..." I stammered. I still felt unsure, what with Treeya being so young.
Martreen must have noticed my hesitation because she took my hands into hers and looking up directly into my eyes she said, "Dac, Treeya so very much longs to know she belongs to you. Have you not seen how she blushes in your company? This is the right thing to do. She loves you Dac... even as I love you... Oh... I... Forgive me..." she cast her eyes downward and her words tailed off as if she had not wanted to voice them.
As tears ran down Martreen's cheeks, now that it had been said aloud I realized for the very first time that I also loved Martreen. I knew then that I had loved her since the first moment that my eyes had met hers that first time she had asked to speak with me. I had avoided surfacing those deep feeling knowing Martreen was destined for a greater purpose and could not return home with us. But now that it was out in the open, I could hardly deny my own true feelings of my love for her.
I took her into my arms and pressed her body tight to mine. The touch of my hands upon her flesh spoke to me in words I could not mistake, "Oh, Martreen, Martreen, Martreen..." I whispered.
"I'm so sorry Dac," She cried, her shoulders shaking in silent sobs, "I should not have said anything. It just slipped out. Go now and bond with our dear sweet Treeya..."
Roya stepped over to us, then turning Martreen's face toward her she kissed her on the lips, then said softly, "You have nothing to be ashamed of, Sheel and I have seen your love for each other for a long time now, even if you and Dac have refused to admit it to yourselves. Everything will be all right. We'll figure something out. You'll see."
