Steve

I had slipped out of bed while the girls were all sleeping soundly. Sue raised her head, smiled at me, looked at the clock, and lay her head back down. While I was taking a quick shower, Kathy joined me and was very amorous this morning. It wasn't long before the shower degenerated into doing her while she leaned against the wall. When we both successfully and enjoyably completed our coupling, we clung to each other as the water rained on us.

Kathy said, "This is nice. Sometimes I just need you by myself. I love the others, but I do like some special attention."

We kissed enjoyably, finished washing, got out to dry, and I shaved. When Kathy and I arrived up in the salon, Ben and Dewey were both on the phone. I wonder who Ben was talking to.

Kathy and I had picked up mugs of coffee in the galley, which was unusually devoid of any women. Ben hung up and said, "That was my contact in Spain. He has another prospective South American gold mine prospect. I'll have to have someone check it out, but it could be something. This guy has made a killing in the mining business. He does go after other minerals, like coal, and I know he recently has been investing in some premium iron ore mines."

Dewey hung up and said, "That was one of our Amsterdam partners in Hawaii. He tells me that construction has begun on the new resort. It will probably take a year, but I am excited about the prospect of owning another resort there."

I asked him, "The way you've been investing over there, are you considering moving there?"

"Not really," Dewey said, as he sipped his coffee. "But I think I'm going to build a house over there so we'll have a place to stay instead of a hotel. It would be nice to have something that would be more laid back."

Chuck, Lisa, and Julie came up the stairway. I was thinking that those three are becoming a set. Whenever it was possible, Julie was with Lisa and/or Chuck. All three of them had coffee, but Lisa went behind the bar and began building the favored morning drink, Bloody Mary's, as soon as she started, Ben said, "Please make me one, Lisa, I think that would taste good this morning."

Before she could even begin another glass, everyone in the salon asked to her to make one for them.

Lisa didn't break her movements, but set up as many glasses as people present, plus two more. She made the Bloody Marys a little weak, but no one would notice when they drank theirs. Lisa handed everyone a tall glass and put two full glasses on the other side of the place where she intended to sit. Lisa had no sooner climbed onto the tall chair when the Asian sisters came up the stairs. The two gave Chuck, Lisa, and Julie kisses, and had to make an effort to climb up on the tall bar chairs. They smiled sweetly at the rest of us at the bar, then immediately sipped on their drink.

Chuck said, "I wish we could have slept longer, but Lisa and I are so wired that we were being too restless for the others. We decided to get up and shower, and you know how that is. A shower draws a crowd on this boat."

Dewey was laughing and said, "I'm sure glad you remodeled this tub with giant showers. I don't think I've ever seen huge showers before on boats like this. At least, you had plenty of room to work with, and I think it was space well used, especially for the people you have with you."

Merlin, Missy, and Beth came up the stairs, all with wet hair. Beth said to Ben, "You missed out on a good shower this morning, Honey. I think Missy and I fulfilled some of Merlin's fantasies. You would have enjoyed it."

Ben and Merlin blushed, but at that second, Mercy came up the stairs and asked, "Who's the bartender this morning? I need something after being wakened by my parents playing in the shower." Mercy looked at her parents with a raised eyebrow. Merlin blushed again, but Missy just gave her daughter an 'I can do that stuff too' look.

I went behind the bar and built the required number of drinks and did some refills for some of the people who had been there a while. I hadn't finished before John and Wanda, Don and Jan, and Dennis and Marie showed up. I raised my glass at them and all six were nodding at me. Juanita came up and gave Sue, Mercy, and me kisses, then climbed up on another stool. She smiled at me, "Hey Gringo, how about some of that lifeblood to a good chica."

That gave me a smile and I immediately made the sweet Latin lady another Bloody Mary.

Seeing as how almost all of the adults were present, I jokingly asked, "I guess you are all curious why I called this meeting."

That brought some laughs, but I added, "Chuck and Lisa may have a problem. They play a matinee Sunday, and you can bet they won't get out of there until six or seven, maybe even later. If a bunch of us go, we'll be about as late with the traffic. The problem is that Chuck and Lisa have another concert on the Riviera. I know it's only a minimum of a twenty-four hour trip to get to Nice where the yacht club is, but that means they aren't going to be able to practice until late Tuesday or Wednesday at the earliest. Chuck, do you think you and Lisa should fly there? Maybe you could fly with the band if you think you'll need the extra practice."

Chuck was nodding and said, "I keep forgetting about another concert on the Riviera. Somehow, I think their agent has booked more than one. He's really riding the popularity of the group right now. Probably smart, but they are going to be beat by the time the group gets back home."

Lisa added, "If we were only doing one or two shows, then traveling to the next venue, we could probably handle the strain, but three days in row is really going to sap us. When we get done with the Riviera, especially if we have two or three concerts there, Chuck and I are going to need oxygen and traction."

Chuck held up his hand and pulled his cell phone from his pocket. He dialed and after waiting for what was probably several rings, Chuck said, "Late sleeper, huh?"

While grinning, he listened to whomever he was talking to. He said into the phone, "How many shows are we doing on the Riviera and where are they? Are they all in Nice or spread out?"

Chuck was listening with his eyes darting back and forth, taking in what he was being told. He finally said, "Thanks for the information, you can go back to bed now, but you probably need to get up and make sure everything is set up at the stadium. " There was another pause before he said, "Okay, I'll see you with the guys at practice."

Chuck looked at Lisa and said, "Another three the same as here, except after Friday and Saturday night is in Nice, and we're playing in Cannes for the matinee on Sunday." Chuck looked up at me and asked, "How far is it from Nice to Cannes?"

Dewey helped me out and told him, "Less than fifty miles, about the same distance as it is between here and Rome, plus it's less than fifteen miles to Monaco; Nice is right in the middle. I'm partners in resorts and casinos in all three locations, all with the same group of people. While we're there, we are going to do some damage when we hit those casinos."'

I smiled at Dewey's determination to teach some greedy partners a lesson. I hoped we could do that for him and I hoped there would be no repercussions for him.

Taiying said to Chuck, "Sing and I will give you special massages this weekend to help you. You both need to exercise to keep your energy up as well. Why don't you both go to the exercise room and walk or run for about fifteen minutes this morning. It will really help your adrenaline and stamina later."

Lisa looked at an almost full glass and at Chuck's before saying, "What do you think Kemo Sabe, should we forsake the firewater for some exercise?"

Chuck took a big gulp of his drink before setting it back on the bar, and got off his chair to head below, with Lisa and Julie following. Sing was smiling and quietly said, "We are supposed to make sure they get their exercise. We are good for both of them."

Ed showed up and said, "We came by this morning, even though the ladies decided not to tour today. Some may want to take a short trip before going to the concert."

Sue said, "I'm not sure, but if you have something interesting that isn't demanding, I'm sure Merlin would like to see more of Rome, and Glenda and Martin may go. It needs to be something low key and not a ton of walking."

Ed asked, "How about another visit to the Vatican museum for a couple of hours. We didn't get to see very much when we visited before. I think I can get us in without having to stand in line again. I do have an in with people there."

Sue said, "I'll go ask Glenda and Martin and see what they say. I'll get the kids up to see if they might want to go. Taiying, why don't you go ask your other women if they might enjoy a gentle day at the museum. Tell them they will be back in plenty of time to get ready to go to the concert."

Ed offered, "I have to pick up four kids of a man Chuck is doing a favor for. We can pick them up on the way back to the boat so the kids can meet and have some fun with yours. I'm sure they speak enough
English they will be able to communicate. The schools here begin teaching English during the first year."

I elbowed Dewey, "I'm going. Come with me as I'm sure the museum is very fascinating."

Dewey nodded and said, "Sounds good to me, I'll go get the sisters up."

Glenda came to the top of the stairs, "I have breakfast ready, the kids are already eating. Sue just told me about going back to the museum. Martin and I want to go too."

Ed was smiling, "This is good; we're going to have a nice group of people. I'll make my call to make sure we can get in my special entrance. Perhaps Steve and Dewey might have a small offering for the museum. That always makes the museum people happy."

I knew that a contribution always oils the way, so I pulled some large Euro notes from my pocket and handed them to Ed. "Will this be about right?"

Ed smiled, "Perfect."

A few minutes later, Chuck and Lisa came up the stairs as Chuck was checking his watch. Chuck said, "See you guys this afternoon. Our ride to the studio should be waiting for us." I watched as he walked down the dock and talked to one of the security people out there.

I got up and went below to have some breakfast with the rest of the family and friends.

The surprise was that the place was jumping. The kids were excited about going back to Rome and about the concert tonight. When I sat at the big table, Greg came to sit next to me. He said, "Momma said that we were going to the concert with some real Italian kids. Do you know who it's going to be, who they are? Do you know how old they are? Will they be able to speak English? I don't know any Italian; I know Spanish, but no Italian."

The kid was excited and full of questions. I told him, "I really don't know how old they are, but it's possible they might be older than you. I doubt your mothers would let you go to a concert with strangers until you're older. What do you think?"

Greg sat there a few minutes, screwing up his mouth as he thought about it. "I'm older than some of the kids, so it might be alright for me to go, but someone like Bonita, the triplets, or the twins would be too young. I see what you mean. It'll be fun to meet some real Italian kids anyway. We haven't met anyone from here and all of us like to meet new kids and play with them."

Greg took off about the time that Mike, Mercy's oldest, came to sit in the same chair. He asked, "Do you know anything about the kids that are going to the concert with us? Maybe we could call them and they can go to the museum with us. Do you think they are our age?"

The kids were really curious about some Italian kids. Ed was eating with us so I asked him, "Did Chuck call these folks yet? Have you?"

Ed said, "I talked to their mother already and she told me their grandfather, Giovanni Martinelli assured her they would be well taken care of. I'm a little nervous about being responsible for some more kids, but the mothers, your ladies, will help me watch them."

I asked Ed, "How about calling their mother and see if they can go with us to the museum. I'd bet they would enjoy meeting our kids and going to the museum with us."

Ed was a little hesitant, but pulled out his cell phone and a piece of paper, and made the call. He was speaking for a minute or so, when he asked me, "The mother would like to accompany us to the museum and if we had another ticket would like to go to the concert."

I told Ed, "No problem. Find out if she speaks English and if her husband would want to go."

Ed spoke to the woman for a few minutes, and had a sour look on his face. I could tell he wasn't happy about something. He finished the call and reached for his coffee mug. After a drink, he said, "The mother speaks English, but the father has left his family. She said he told her he was leaving and she hasn't seen him for over nine months. She says she was going to apply for a divorce, but it's something that is frowned upon in our culture."

Ed was shaking his head when he said, "Knowing her family, I wouldn't be surprised if the lady finds out she's a widow. She is the youngest daughter of Giovanni. I wonder if it was an arranged marriage. That might explain her lack of emotion she had when she told me. Not good, not the Italian way."

When the galley and tables were cleaned up, everyone on the boat and some from the Irish Bell were ready to go out for a short trip to the museum. Ed had called for another bus, sending the first full one ahead. Two security people got on the first bus, and I saw two getting on board our bus with us. We drove toward Rome, but detoured into a nice neighborhood, stopping in front of a good sized home. Ed had been on his cell phone and went to the front door. A woman came out and headed to the bus, accompanied by four kids looking to be near my kids' age."

When Ed entered the bus with the woman, I stood up and welcomed her. I told her my name was Steve Sharp and pointed and introduced Sue and Mercy, who were sitting together up front, telling her their names. She said, "My name is Gina Martinelli. Since my husband has vanished, my children and I are resuming our family name. The children are my son, Giovanni, named for his grandfather, and Sophia, and these two are cousins, my sister's children, Gioia and Mario, they also are without a father."

Greg had come forward and waved at the four kids, he said to them, "Come sit with us kids. Your mom can sit with our moms."

The four children looked at their mother for permission. She spoke in Italian, and the kids smiled and moved past her to go to the back of the bus where a bunch of our children were sitting. The woman, Gina, turned to me and said, "I'm sorry for speaking in Italian, I wanted the children to understand. They are good with the English, but just like Italian, your words can mean many things some times."

Mercy got up and moved across the aisle to where I had been sitting with Dewey. He had moved back to sit with Ben. Sue said, "Sit with me, Gina; we can get to know each other."

As we sat down, Mercy flooded my head, "She is very beautiful, isn't she?"

I was startled and looked at Mercy as if she was crazy. She leaned over to me and whispered into my ear, "You won't believe what Sue is thinking right now, and Gina almost drooled over you when she got on the bus."

I looked at her and said, "No," emphatically. When I looked toward Sue, who was talking to Gina facing my way, I looked at her and shook my head and mouthed "No." No way, no way, do we need to get involved with an Italian lady who doesn't know where her husband is. I had the feeling that this lady, and this Giovanni, might be from a powerful family that I probably didn't want to know anything about. I needed to talk to Chuck as he knows about these people.

Mercy leaned to my ear again, "This person is not involved in what her family does, and the children are innocent, of course. I'm sure she knows her father is an important person within the world he travels in, but she is not a part of it."

I asked quietly, "How do you know all of this?"

She said, "I know from her mind. Mother is inside her head, giving her calming suggestions so she is relaxed with us. Chuck was thinking about these kids last night and he said the same thing, the children are innocent. He didn't think about this woman, but he trusts this Giovanni person."

The only thing I could do was to shake my head and hope Sue minded me. I have not been an ogre with her about the way she collects women friends, but I didn't think it would be a good idea to have a pair of Italian panties notched on her bedpost. Mercy punched me and whispered, "We're not that bad. We just enjoy having some fun and I do think Gina is gorgeous. She is really built, too." She was that.

Oh my, just what I don't need is a bunch of horny women on the prowl. You would think that they would be happy to have the five of them and me. They have all Chuck's women and those ladies at the park that they enjoy for variety. They sure don't need an international plaything. Besides, I've heard these Italian women are very protective and jealous, so she wouldn't be a good candidate for my women.

Mercy said, "You're thinking all wrong, Steve. Gina is very open and very gentle. I love the way her mind gives out warm friendly signals. Do you know she's attracted to Sue? Just look at her devouring Sue's cleavage. That woman is on the verge of attacking her right here. I think she's been without for too long."

"Christ, Mercy, quit talking about it. She's going to hear you and that's just what we don't need. A woman who feels she might be taken advantage of, or feels that we might be predators."

Mercy just smiled, and I could feel Missy trying to give me calm warm feeling, while Mercy teasingly smiled at me.

While we were driving to the Vatican, Ed passed out the headsets again, telling us he had charged all of them. In her halting English, I heard Gina say, "This is good, I will hear English from Eduardo and will be able to know what items are named in English."

We reached the museum in a short time and saw the very long line of people already cued up waiting to get in. The main entrance to the Vatican Museums is through a doorway in a bastion in the walls that surround most of Vatican City, and the main exit is through another doorway through the old defensive wall about 100 feet to the right. This early in the morning, no one was leaving the museum yet, but Ed took us to the exit and we walked right in. Ed handed the doorkeeper an envelope, and proceeded to lead us to the first exhibit he wanted us to see. The Vatican Museums – they call them that, plural, museums – are in a former papal palace and are made up mostly of the papal collections of paintings and sculpture, mostly displayed where the popes put them over the centuries. Some of the paintings are frescoes that are permanently part of the walls of the rooms in which they were painted long ago. There are also some collections of miscellaneous sculptural and architectural fragments from ancient Rome dug up around the city over the centuries.

Part of the former palace is called the Belvedere, Italian for "pretty view", though we couldn't tell much about the view. Ed showed us a headless, armless, legless marble torso of a muscular looking man and said this was called the "Belvedere Torso", and had inspired Michelangelo and other artists to depict similar figures in their paintings and sculpture. "You will see in the Sistine Chapel similar frescoes of similar tensely twisted torsos, only they'll have their arms, legs, and heads," Ed said. He also showed us a beautiful clean, smooth white marble statue of a man, explaining, "This is the Apollo Belvedere, a Roman copy of a bronze Greek statue. It was found near here centuries ago and became part of the collection." We proceeded through the palace, through one ornate passage after another, until we came to a set of rooms with painted walls – painted with paintings, that is. "These rooms were frescoed by Rafael, one of the greatest painters of the Renaissance. Fresco is a painting technique in which the colors are applied to fresh wet plaster and become a permanent part of the wall as the plaster dries. This wall here is probably the most famous, called "The School of Athens", supposedly showing ancient Greek philosophers – but Rafael filled it with portraits of his fellow Renaissance artists. Here is Leonardo da Vinci, over here is Rafael's self portrait, and this bearded fellow looking miserable on the steps is Michelangelo – he didn't get along well with Rafael."

Steve and Chuck Changes and Life AdjustmentsChapter 12

Steve I was laying on my back, with Gio on my left shoulder and Juanita on my right. I could see the clock on the other side of the room showing that it was right at six AM. We were up later than usual last night. Even after coming to bed, my ladies were more active than usual, but what is normal for these women? Poor Gio, I could tell she wanted to be loved, but all she received was a lot of kisses and hugs. Our baby is more important than sex. The other girls are being almost overly...

Steve and Chuck Changes and Life AdjustmentsChapter 30

Steve I had just discussed the medical laboratory plant with Sue and we agreed that this was an important project. We both wanted to continue to assist Chuck in helping vets any way we could. It was past time to run into work, so I went to see how the company was functioning. A walkthrough of all the shops is always the best way to get a feel for what's going on. I saw Hank in the rear of the motor shop, painting one of Shawna's chopper creations. He was doing it from a chair with his...

Steve and Chuck Changes and Life AdjustmentsChapter 6

Chuck Holy shit! There are babies everywhere. All of them are hollering/crying and they all need attention right now. Literally hundreds of babies were demanding diaper changes, demanding a breast to nurse, and looking for loving attention. All I could do is stand in the middle of the bedlam with my mouth open, too terrified to do anything. Someone was shaking me, "Wake up, Chuck, you're having a bad dream, wake up, Honey." I opened by eyes to find Brandy looking at me with a concerned...

Steve and ChuckChapter 45

Steve I was having coffee in my room at the resort. I had the patio doors open, looking out from the ninth floor toward the beautiful lagoon or small harbor in front of the hotel. It was still too early for beach people, but there were workers cleaning the beach. Two tractors were dragging the sand, smoothing it out to make it more appealing to the tourists. In the harbor and at the dock were several large yachts and sailboats. None, however, rivaled the Have Mercy, the Mercy Mercy, or...

Steve Mercy was shaking me, "Steve, Steve, wake up. Chuck may need you. I think Maria's in trouble." I sat straight up trying to think why Maria would be in trouble. Oh yeah, she's about to hatch. "What kind of trouble, Mercy, what is it?" Mercy just shook her head, "I don't know, but she just woke Chuck up. He may need us. Let's get over there to make sure they are alright." I began putting some clothes on. Sue, Kathy, Mickey, and Juanita woke, seeing Mercy and me dressing,...

Steve and Chuck Go SailingChapter 13

Steve I had been told first by Mercy, then by Sue, that all of the women wanted to talk to me. That usually is almost instant death, or maybe it was going to be an execution, mine. At least they had waited for me to finish eating breakfast before the hanging. It was with great apprehension that I was following Sue, Kathy, and Mickey up the stairs, or more appropriately, the broad curved ladder that goes up to the salon. Mercy was at the helm, with Juanita sitting beside her . Juanita...

Chuck A speaker in the room was broadcasting reveille. It had the desired effect, as I swung my foot and stump out of bed. Across from me, Lisa was sitting up, rubbing her eyes. She looked up at me and said, "Old habits are hard to break, aren't they?" Wanda was trying to pull a pillow over her head, but Lisa gave her a shake and said, "You better get up, or you won't get a shower and breakfast." Lisa looked up at me, "Since you're fast, go do your thing, and I'll go next after I...

Steve and Chuck Changes and Life AdjustmentsChapter 31

Chuck Lisa and I were having fun doing what we liked to do when we were relaxing. We were both sitting on a little raised stage at the bottom of what was like a theater in the round. The platform had a baby grand with a bench and two chairs, with Lisa and me sitting on them. An interesting part of this is that there was absolutely no sound system. If you were looking for un-plugged, this was the ultimate. The acoustics in the theater had been designed so that what was played on the little...

Steve and Chuck Go SailingChapter 25

Steve I was up early, as usual, sitting in the parlor on one of the fixed stools at the bar in the suite. You know how it is; waiting for coffee to brew can seem like an eternity when you don't want to sit there and wait. There was no place else to go and nothing else to do. If I went out to the patio, I would just have to come back in. If I went back into the room, I would probably disturb someone. Wonder why I can never sleep late? Only on rare occasions can I sleep until seven or eight....

Steve As soon as I stepped out on the patio, Tiny came in the back door, waving some papers while grinning his conspiratorial grin. I asked, "What are up to, Tiny? What's got you wound up so early?" "I've just heard from another Saudi sheik who is buying a new 737. The man heard we were buyers and called our office. Chuck When Sue and Don relieved me at midnight, I went down to the office to check the rings I was going to hand out later that night. I separated eight of the rings, along with the special one I had made up for Lisa. The only difference between the special one and the others was that it had two brilliant blue diamonds on each side of the big diamond while the other rings had two bright red rubies on each side of a big diamond. The bands were wide, much wider than what a normal engagement or...

Chuck I woke up in a sweat. Remembering the night before didn't help with the PTS, with maybe a D on the end. That was close. I wonder why the bomb detonated, did it have a timer? Was there another person with a remote detonator? I doubt I'll ever know. I do know I was grateful to have carried Lisa out of the way. A heavy-breasted person was at my back and it wasn't Frieda as the belly wasn't bulging. That's when I remembered Gina. My, oh my, what do I do after hearing Giovanni's...

Steve Chuck had come out for breakfast this morning to talk to me about something. When we had our coffee and were sitting at the bar away from people, Chuck said, "There's a bunch of things coming together all at once. Magellan called to say the boat's ready to be picked up. I've transferred funds and paid them, so we can bring it up any time." He took a sip of coffee and said, "You want to go to Hawaii for a few days, which at a minimum is a day going and a day returning. I can get...

Steve and Chuck Go SailingChapter 18

Chuck It seemed like just a few minutes ago I was totaled, dead tired, completely exhausted. So what the heck, what's the matter? I never have trouble sleeping. I can even sleep soundly on the hot sand snuggled up against a track, like an APC or an Abrams tank. The shade is always good unless it's too close to mid-day. What's in my head now that I'm having trouble sleeping? I looked at the clock to see it was only two o'clock, and I was wide awake, tired but definitely wide awake. Oh...

Chuck I heard a baby cry and the bed shifted a little. There was activity over by the small table that I was told was a changing table. I raised my head to see who was up and saw Nancy changing a diaper. Her little one was making noises, but not crying. I suppose since she was getting attention that was what she wanted. Wanting to watch what the process was, I turned on my back and propped my head up on a folded pillow. After she changed the diaper, she put the infant back into the...

Steve We had eaten a great supper and were all relaxing on the patio when Wanda came to get me. She asked if we could go somewhere to talk. Not knowing what was up, I took her to Sue's offices in the other end of the trailer from the bedrooms. Wanda and I sat down and she said, "Steve, I don't know what to do. I talked to Chuck this morning and he's been shot. Lisa, Nightfox, and him, were all shot. He says they're not too serious, but I'm not sure about that. When I called our base...

Steve Now that Chuck was back from hiding out in the Gulf, life around home seemed to be getting back to normal. He was busy with a bunch of federal people and his prisoners were all transported to DC where they would be held or given an option to be bailed out. I told Chuck that I didn't care what happened, as long as they left me and my company alone. Tiny told me that a major military supplier was negotiating to have us produce bodies for their equipment. Steve and ChuckChapter 20

Steve Three weeks later Wes was sitting on an overturned bucket, staring at the right wing of the parts that Jeff's team had molded before he had been hired. He had been determined to have this bunch of parts flying within a week or two. No such luck. He kept finding flaws in how the pieces fit together. He kept checking the blueprints that were downloaded from the internet with the finished product, and found the pre-made parts to be exact to the print. The problem was they didn't fit,...

Steve and ChuckChapter 52

Chuck This party is an amazing testament to all of the girls' ability to organize, plan, and carry through to their objective. There were many people who showed up that I would not have expected. John, the Marshal, and their families came followed shortly by Dewey and his family. I was honored to have him here, as that man has some "cool." I had to ask John and the Marshal, "I thought you two were staying down in Costa Rica?" John answered, "I wanted to surprise you. You know we had...

Steve and Chuck Changes and Life AdjustmentsChapter 20

Chuck I was on my way to Cut Bank, Montana. Way up in northern Montana. My Aunt Etta-Mae had called saying she was in trouble. Lisa had just asked me to tell her what was really happening. The cabin satellite phone was ringing. Julie went to answer it and looked up at me. I told her I could transfer the call to my headset. "Johnson." "Is this Charles Johnson?" I told the voice, "It is. Most call me Chuck." "Chuck, you have an aunt named Etta-Mae Johnson, right?" Being wary I...

Steve and Chuck Changes and Life AdjustmentsChapter 21

Chuck Waking up in a strange bed, or in this case, on a strange couch is disconcerting. I had to look around to find my leg before going to the bathroom. As I traversed to the toilet, I thought I smelled coffee brewing. When I left the bathroom, I went straight to the kitchen and found Julie and Missy sitting at the big kitchen table with fresh cups in front of them. In a chair across from them was a steaming cup of coffee. Julie smiled, pointed to it, and said, "Good morning,...

Steve and ChuckChapter 27

Steve Last night had been strange. Chuck was in a fight, no that wasn't right. He really didn't have a fight. That monster guy attacked him, and Chuck just tossed him. He did whack the guy in the nose, but it could have been the heel of the hand into the nose, a killing blow. We all learned that one. That wrist thing Chuck did was so quick that it was just something that happened as the big guy went over the top of him. I was sitting drinking that first cup of coffee contemplating what...

Steve and Chuck Go SailingChapter 11

As soon as we all made it back to Mac's after the kidnapping, Sue, Mercy, and Kathy cornered me. Sue said, "You shouldn't have been involved in that. You are the father to a bunch of kids with another on the way. What in the world were you thinking?" Before I could answer, Mercy said, "I know you felt you had to help Chuck, and we all love him, but you have to be careful, Steve. We need you, we don't need you hurt." Kathy actually defended me, "Steve is a man. He has to defend his...

Steve and ChuckChapter 29

Steve I woke up several times during the night, hearing things that were normal sounds. Sure wish Chuck had stayed, I would have felt a lot more secure. Funny how a guy like that can make you feel safe. He's just a guy, a one- legged guy with a crooked smile, who is as friendly as a kitten. He can be vicious when he's on the job though. Drinking coffee at 5:55 in the morning is a good way to enjoy the day. I called down to the gate guard to see how everything was going and he said that...

Steve and ChuckChapter 48

Steve (Tuesday) Mercy and I were in the restaurant early, having coffee, when a couple of salt and pepper guys came in. I stood and both came toward me with their hands stuck out to shake. They sat with us and were brought coffee. Bud Anderson, said, "I've been working on this case for a year and thought we had most of it put to bed. There must be more to it, as you've turned up a significant group here in Nevada." Jim said, "Chuck split me off as his backup a while back to work with...

Steve and Chuck Go SailingChapter 12

Chuck A few days later, we were passing Gibraltar. Everyone on board was out on deck to view the sight that was so familiar from the kids' geography books, the thick yellow National Geographic magazine pictorials, and advertising. The iconic view we all remember from the Prudential Insurance ads, though, is visible only from one angle, on the Mediterranean side of the Rock. Fortunately, our course kept that view in sight for quite a while. Gibraltar looks unrecognizably different from...

Steve and Chuck Go SailingChapter 19

Steve As I passed through the galley, I was confronted by Glenda, still in her robe. I asked, "Are you going to stay in today?" Glenda said, "I think Martin and I have been overdoing it. The scooter thing we did yesterday helped, but we were both so tired last night that we thought we should stay home and rest a little. I can spend the day doing some dusting, and I need to wash some clothes for my man. The two of us could use the rest. I thought I might give home a call this afternoon to...

Steve and Chuck Changes and Life AdjustmentsChapter 11

Chuck The last baby had been fed her middle of the night feeding, and I was really deep asleep. Lisa was shaking me. When I came out of my fog, I heard her say, "Your cell phone is ringing. Hope that isn't a problem." I got up from bed and hopped into my closet/dressing area to retrieve my phone from the tray I put pocket junk in. "Johnson," "You son of a gun, we did just like you've been doing and let it ride, all of it, we kept letting it ride. Brother Chuck, Tiny and I have hit...

Steve and Chuck Go SailingChapter 23

Chuck I woke being hugged between Julie and Brandy. The two were really hanging on, but I needed to offload pretty soon. Sliding from the grasp of the two women, I saw that Lisa was sleeping with her head on Gina's cushions. I was going to go back to bed after using the head, but saw it was five fifty already and we were going to shove off early this morning. Instead of going back to bed, I hopped back to the head, showered, shaved, and quickly dressed to go see if anyone else was up. The...

Steve and Chuck Changes and Life AdjustmentsChapter 4

Steve On Monday and Tuesday, Sue and I went through our local plants, visiting with the managers and workers, assuring them of what a great job they were doing. A highlight of the visits was my time spent in the recently expanded R&D building. The new guy, Sandy Flowers, had become an integral part of the team there. After setting up software to track testing and modifications, Sandy had begun helping Gerry on one of her quests to create a special polymer composite that would resist...

Steve and ChuckChapter 58

Chuck Life was settling down all around. I was just doing the usual office work with no flying everywhere on an almost daily basis for a change. John Scott seemed to have settled down in DC and was enjoying his job again. I had the flying lessons and was checked out in the new Citation X but had no reason to go anywhere. The charter company used it once for a quick trip to San Diego and back, but Lisa took that one. She said it was great to have an aircraft that could fly that far, that...

Steve and Chuck Go SailingChapter 29

Steve Oh, what a night! My lovely ladies must have thought I needed the attention as they were absolutely on fire. I think they were trying to help me set a record as they all had some of my loving and started over again. The surprise among the players was a sneaky person, as all of a sudden, when Mercy fell to the side, two large bazooms were in my face and they did not belong to Sue. Sue's mother was sitting on my pride and joy, smiling down at me. She said, "Oh, Steve, this feels so...

Steve and Chuck Go SailingChapter 16

Chuck How can that be? My cell phone is ringing. I don't remember leaving it on. Jesus, who could be calling at, I lifted my head to see it was six thirty? I was on the outside of the pile of female flesh, so I was able to get up and hop to the table where my pocket stuff and cell phone was. "Hello." A sort of familiar voice said, "Hey, Chuck, how're you and that sweet Lisa doing?" Trying to figure out who this was I said, "We're all fine, ah, who is this?" "Hey man, this is...

Steve and ChuckChapter 28

Chuck Sunday mornings are fun out at the park. The women wear near nothing, driving us men crazy. I anticipated a good time. When I woke and began my exercises, John joined me on a treadmill, followed by some weights. He said, "It sure would be nice to have you close by. We could workout together. It's a lot more fun to do this stuff when you have a buddy." About that time, Lisa, Brandy, and Tiani came in and began using the other treadmill and the stationary bikes. Little Tiani said,...

Steve and ChuckChapter 17

Chuck Sunday Waking up in a strange place is always weird, but this is too much. I'm hugging someone different, my hand is around a soft full breast, and if what I feel is real, I'm balls deep in a very juicy unfamiliar pussy that is sliding slowly back and forth. I can feel breath on my shoulder and hear Lisa breathing. She has a little catch to her breathing when she is sleeping and when she's excited. But her hand is holding and squeezing my balls so she is probably not...

Steve and Chuck Go SailingChapter 34

Steve We picked up a nice wind the first day out. There was a low pressure area stalled to the northeast of us, providing us with an almost direct stiff wind from the south-southeast. If we can keep this up, we'll be home in four days easy. Chuck had the helm this morning and seemed to be contemplative about going home. I went up and handed him a fresh mug of coffee. "What's on your mind, Guy, anything to worry about?" Chuck smiled and said, "I love being out on the water, but I...

Steve and ChuckChapter 31

Steve It was after seven when I woke up to an empty bed. I was still sleepy, but got up to at least start the day with everyone. When I sat down and joined the regulars with a cup of coffee, Sue came over and kissed me good morning, "Morning, Sleepyhead. I know you didn't get back until after four, but it's unusual for you to sleep late." "If there was not so much to do today, I would just go back to sleep for a while," I said, looking around while hugging my wonderful wife. "I see...

Steve Perhaps things are getting back to normal, or for what may pass as normal lately, and that has been near chaos. Everyone at the shop that had some activity to report visited with me, until Ruth looked in on me and said, "Its lunch time, and Sue has called to make sure you come home. DeDe said you are scheduled for a flying lesson this afternoon too. What's that about? I thought you could fly already." Steve I feel as if everything is going faster. Time was rushing by the closer it comes to the time for us to sail. When I woke up Monday morning, I felt a sense of urgency to get up, do something, prepare for something, to take care of last minute anything. Mercy hugged me and whispered, "Relax, everything is taken care of. You have wonderful people who will take care of everything while you're gone. Steve and ChuckChapter 47

Steve Monday mornings are always fun. Everyone is getting started on a new week, with new energy, new ideas, and new motivation. My first task was to return a stack of non-urgent calls that had come in the previous Friday. The first was that the St. Louis cart plant was concerned their production was not keeping up with orders. The easy solution was to ship the extra production from Florida since the local plant was working at less than sixty percent capacity. I think the St. Louis plant...

Steve and ChuckChapter 41

Chuck For me to not sleep well means there is a crisis. I guess there were many crises going on. It was just after five, but I was wide awake, so I slipped from bed, used the bathroom, mounted my peg and went outside to relax by forming for a few minutes. I was concerned about getting the cash and gold down to Ben in Costa Rica. If I could get out of here with all of it, I could leave here and fly direct. I might have to pull some tricks in Costa Rica to get the stuff to a bank, but I...

Steve and Chuck Go SailingChapter 8

Chuck This had been a busy day. We docked in Ireland this morning and have been busy all day. The kids demanded a lot of Lisa’s and my time, as they wanted the two us to help the Irish kids to learn what they had learned. The Irish kids were lucky to have Serene to teach them at home, since she was a lot more accomplished than I had thought. That was the fun part, and then there were Julie’s adult kids. Sue had made the call for me so they could take the ferry to Ireland, be here for the...

Steve Thursday Tiny, Sue's dad Ben, and I were in the helicopter shop with Bret and Carter. Tiny handed each of the two men a check and said, "That's exactly half each of all the numbers we agreed upon. If you two have some cross debt, handle it yourselves. We can put a fork in this deal." Bret said, "You should have heard that asshole from Alcam when I told him I'd already sold out. He cussed and threatened me until I finally hung up on him. He called back and demanded to know who...

Steve and Chuck Changes and Life AdjustmentsChapter 2

Chuck There was a noise in the room. I couldn’t place it right away, but I finally realized it was my cell phone that was still in my pants pocket. I moved over Tiani and Lena and hopped to my pants. I pulled the phone from the pocket, flipped it open, and said, “Johnson.” The voice was very dry, very curt, “We have a job for you. You need to be in DC in four hours.” I said, “Who are you?” The voice once again with a very curt response, “We have a job for you. Get in your plane and get...

Steve and Chuck Go SailingChapter 17

Steve My pile of women was surrounding me, with Sue doing her sleeping best to smother me between her triple Zs. No boobs are that big, but Sue has enough for three or four women. Don't you just love those big balloons? I sure do. I slid to the edge of the bed without waking anyone, but knew that we needed to get up and get going this morning. We have to leave around seven-thirty. I stretched before beginning to gently wake the women. Oops, there were two extras next to Juanita. Trixie...

Steve I rolled over and almost rolled off the bed. My movement, while catching myself at the last minute, woke Sue who looked at me funny. She smiled at me and asked, "What are you doing up? You were on duty until two this morning! Sleep a little more." I looked at the clock and said, "It's already six and we should be near port by now. I want to be up when we enter that lagoon at the yacht club. Chuck probably won't have a problem but I should probably be there to help tie up. Let's...

Steve and Chuck Go SailingChapter 35

Chuck I checked on Lisa as soon as I woke up. Yesterday's encounter was too close to the confrontation on the island. This time it wasn't her adrenaline that got her, it was the cruelty of the men who had been dumped into the sea. It's hard to believe people could just kill the young couple and make the parents watch them get tossed overboard. It makes me shudder. Then that poor older woman, about Missy's and Beth's age, just walked out and shot those men in the head. There could have...

Steve and ChuckChapter 70

Steve As I opened my eyes, I realized it was Wednesday and we would be sailing in a week. That almost scared me, thinking there were suddenly too many loose ends for me to be taking off like that. As I thought about it a little more, I realized that it will always be that way, and that's why we have good people working for us. I sat up and made a decision, the guys needed to get on their horses, or airplane in this case, and get over to Hawaii as they needed to be back at home while I'm...

Steve Ah, Wednesday morning! I was still half-asleep, but knew something was happening today. I sat up straight and said, loud enough to disturb the sleep of the ladies next to me, "We're going sailing today!" Mercy rolled over, looking up at me while stretching, and said, "Only because Chuck is back." I asked, "He is? Did he call last night?" Crystal should have done that, but she didn't really know whether he was going to be full time or part time. Chuck Julie whispered into my ear, "It's almost four. Get up and get a shower to get your motor running." When I slid from bed and checked the clock, it was only three thirty. Wonder why so early. I can do everything necessary in five minutes flat. As I slipped from bed, peed, and started the shower, a sexy older, or more mature, lady stepped under the spray with me. Julie whispered some more as she held on to my growing interest. "I need you, Lover; you make me feel so good, so alive....

Steve Monday As soon as everyone was eating breakfast this morning, I checked with Abe about the engine he had been working on for our entry into the light sport aircraft market. So far, the engine showed it was generating between 115 and 125 horsepower. This would put it in competition with the Rotax 914 or the Continental engine. We knew that the Rotax engine retailed for about thirty five grand and the Continental for around twenty, but Abe figured we could sell ours, fully certified,...

I don't have to go in until nine this morning." Lisa also woke up and told her, "The man is flying to his islands this morning with all of the investors and architects. Steve and Chuck Changes and Life AdjustmentsChapter 3

Chuck When we woke up the next morning, I went up to the galley and made coffee. Up in the main salon, I opened the sliding door to a cacophony of birds in the nearby trees. I watched a turtle run down a log into the water, and even saw a set of eyes back in the mangroves looking for something to eat. Lisa brought me a mug of coffee and we sat out on the deck, looking around at the peaceful setting. A boat would come down or go up the river, but we were fairly obscured and someone would...
