Two years had passed since Meg and Peg had purchased their home, Tim had graduated high school
with honors and had enrolled at a prestigious Ivy League university that was close to home. Their lives together were idyllic, he had a new sister, who was also his daughter, and she was almost a year old.

Peg slipped for just a second when she answered her "she's just like her brother was when he was a baby." She answered.
Once she had realized what she had said, she scrambled to cover her tracks. "Her brother lives with her father, we had had an enormous custody battle when we divorced, so for his benefit I gave him custody of our child." She managed to say.
Tim had flinched; his odd look had instantly caused Cyn to want to know more about what was going on in this house. After a few cups of coffee, Cyn was planning on attempting to find out exactly the dynamics in the house. "Tim have you finished your essay for our creative writing class?" She asked him. "'I'm thinking you probably ought to take me home so I can finish mine." She said to him in a brusque tone.
"Oh, okay, let me get my keys and coat while you say goodbye and then I'll be happy to take you home." He said to her.
When he left the dining room Cindy looked at Meg and Peg and said to them, "I'm not sure what goes on here, but by the time he gets home tonight, I will."
Both women sputtered to respond, with the wave of the hand she looked at them both and said "shut up!" She ordered, "If it's what I think it is the four of us are going to become very good friends." She told them, just as Tim returned to the dining room, when he noticed the expressions on their troubled faces he knew something had gone on between them while he was getting his keys. He reached his hand out and took Cyn's and helped her stand, he held her jacket for her and as she placed her arms into the sleeves, she turned and began playing Megan for the wonderful meal.
Tim had known something had transpired between the three while he was out of the room and he intended to find out when he closed the door to his car, after he had seated Cynthia.
He climbed into the car and turned the ignition, when he did, Cindy reached out with her right hand and placed it over his hand that held the car keys. "Tim what the fuck is going on in your house? And who or what are these two women to you?" She asked him.
"I'm going to tell you something about me and them, its information that could get me and Peg in a great deal of trouble. You have to promise me, if I tell you, you can never tell another soul, because if you did Peg would be arrested, and lose custody of her daughter to the state. Do you understand how serious this is?" He asked her
"No Tim I have no idea what the hell you're talking about, please help me understand." She said to him.
"Give me your word Cindy and I will tell you everything, I can't help myself, I have fallen so deeply in love with you, that I want to share everything about me, and this is definitely one of those things that I have kept secret since I first saw you." Tim said to her.
