CowboyChapter 5 free porn video
“Mr Young, whilst the ladies are on one of their ‘essential’ shopping trips – a new hat I believe is the order of the day - perhaps I may have a word?” Haberdash’s Southern drawl had a hint of menace in it, not helped by the pistol in his hand; he saw Cavendish looking at it “Oh this? This is one on my samples, but we may come to that.
First, I should say I went to my daughter’s room last night to make sure she was comfortable. I received no reply to my knocking. I surmised she was either sleeping very soundly or was not there. Would you care to hazard a guess?”
Cavendish said nothing, he did not wish to confess and put Cassie in trouble.
“No? Well, perhaps that is as well; I should hate you to deny the truth. I have spoken to Cassie and she admitted she had gone to your room. She says that nothing happened” he emphasised the word ‘says’ as if he did not believe it.
“If you are suggesting that I seduced your daughter I can tell you she is as – “ he was going to say pure, but that would not be strictly true “- as virginal as she was before she came to my room”
“Hmm, nicely put. You will understand by now that we are not a normal family, normal in the way we do things I mean. We are normal in that if you had led her down that particular path...” Cavendish thought ‘it would have been her leading me I think’, but wisely stayed silent “ ... well suffice to say this pistol would have either encouraged you to church or to your grave.
Cassie is hot headed and strong willed, perhaps too much like her father? She was much taken with you, I could see that”
“And I her, sir. But I fear I would not be the right match for her, I have too little understanding of the world as yet; and too little by way of fortune. I know you have more than enough, but I could not live as a parasite ... no insult intended. I simply wish to make my own way”
“No insult taken, I am delighted to hear you say that. Too many young men these days seem to want an easy life living on their parents’ money. But I perceive that whatever you two did, it is probably something I should not ask about?” He left the question hanging, and when Cavendish Young did not respond he simply said “Hmmph! Well, take a look at this” and handed him the gun. Apparently the interview was over and no more was to be said.
“It is very, impressive. It sits well in the hand.”
“Sir.” Said Mr Haberdash the next day “I should like to show you something. Here...” He opened a large flat case. In it were indentations, most occupied by guns, one space empty clearly for the one he had handed to Cavendish. “You see? The pistol in your hand has the same range as Colt 45, and the same punch approximately, but it is more accurate than any other pistol available at present. The long barrelled pistol has a range and accuracy at least 50% better than any other handgun. The shorter rifle is similarly better engineered and more accurate than the carbines popular in cavalry and range riders’ equipment. And the final piece, the long rifle, though single shot, is pinpoint accurate to a mile; yes sir! A mile! I have not ascertained its full range as yet.” Cavendish looked admiringly at the weaponry, he was no expert but could see each was a thing of beauty.
“But do you know the most impressive feature sir? No? They all have the same calibre barrel. Yes, the pistol is slightly larger than usual and the rifles are smaller than usual. So the ‘Elephant Gun’ as I call it packs a powerful recoil because of its cartridge, but the bullet is the same as the pistols’.”
“So it would need a few bullets to stop an elephant!”
“Ah, just so. But you could start shooting when it was a long way off. The advantage you see is that you only have to carry one size of ammunition for all the guns; one calibre of bullet that is. The cartridge would be different, but then they can be packed and made using moulds, as can the bullets if lead is available. I have others too” he was getting excited now “Look, this is a bullet of glass. It fires just as well as lead, brass or steel, but when it hits it shatters and causes tremendous damage. This one I am experimenting with, it is a baked clay sheath with tiny balls of baked clay inside, do you see? Like a miniature shrapnel shell! Or a shotgun cartridge perhaps, but with a much greater range.
