Vivie came awake crying. She was in a casket of some sort and the lid was rising. In the opening appeared a vaguely familiar face that changed from smiling to an expression of concern.
Sitting up, Vivie realized that she was naked, not that it bothered her. It was just a fact. She sniffled, then decided that she needed to ‘man up’.
“Welcome back, Missy, I’m Gunnery Sergeant Sam Anderson, and I have something of yours,” said the towering figure. “You and your baby toad-sticker saved my life.” He handed over her meticulously cleaned and sharpened Barlow knife. “You’re on the AP018, Indian Princess, and the AI says you are allowed to carry it anywhere you please. That’s a privilege not usually granted to anyone who hasn’t volunteered.” Then he reached out to help her from the med-tube. “Call me Gunny.”
“My name is Vivie, Genevieve Arthur, really,” she responded. “Please call me Vivie.”
“Well, young Vivie, it took some doing, but we finally figured out who you are,” he told her, “but now you’re an anomaly we really aren’t sure what to do with. You see, after that attack, we brought all the wounded back to the ship for treatment. Several wounded didn’t have their CAP cards with them, so the ship’s lieutenant just ordered the AI to test everyone without a card while in the med-tubes. Sort things out quickly, see?”
He sighed. “Turns out you have a CAP of 6.7 but you’re not quite twelve. You’re too young to volunteer, you have no sponsor, and the AI was about to shit a brick. It wanted to punt you back to Earth.”
“While I was still in the ‘tube, Corporal Stuart found out and told the lieutenant and the AI that the extraction team was likely to raise a real stink if they threw you back. When I got out of the tube, I was handed the mess, err problem, err you.”
He sighed again. “You’ve heard of the Chinese Obligation?”
Vivie nodded.
“Well, the AI has determined that I now belong to you!”
“Whaaa?!”
“That’s about what I said, too,” Gunny told her. “I’m to be your mentor. The AI has come full circle. It consulted with other AIs and they decided that you will be allowed to volunteer for service in the Confederacy. There’s a few, very few weird situations that were remotely similar, and you could be a ‘junior volunteer’.”
“You may volunteer to be a ‘cadet’ in either service, the Marines or the Navy, but it recommends the Navy. With citizenship, you may even choose the allocated number of concubines, but no sex of any kind until you turn thirteen, and no intercourse until you are fourteen.” He paused.
“Wow! That’s a lot of ‘cans’ and ‘mays’ and ‘cannots’. Reminds me of my reading about Vietnam – old enough to be drafted, fight, and die but not old enough to vote or drink,” she told him. “When and how do I choose?”
a voice in her head told her.
Vivie, looked at Gunny, grinned, and walked over to don the black coverall uniform of the Navy. She explained, “I’m used to running with the boys, but I’m not so good at marching in step.”
The gut-gnawing hungry pair headed out to eat. They entered the ship’s chow hall and approached the section appropriated by the enlisted Marines as their mess. The room went silent when the giant Marine and the slip of a girl – woman? – approached. Then, there was the sound of pushed back chairs and a shouted ‘Oorah!’ The Marines nodded in her direction, reseated themselves, and resumed eating.
“That’s not something they’d do for just anyone or anything,” Gunny told her. “I guess your training starts now.”
As they stood by their chosen table, Gunny’s voice boomed, “Listen up Marines! This is Vivie Arthur, Cadet Vivie Arthur. Every one of you outranks her, unless she tells you ‘Gunny says’. When she does, whatever she says comes from my lips. Another thing, she’s a volunteer, but she isn’t thirteen. No sex! None! Nada! Not a touch or a lick! Give her another ‘Oorah’ so I know you understand.”
Again, chairs were pushed back and voices shouted acknowledgement.
Gunny led Vivie to the replicator and showed her how it worked. Returning to the table with trays loaded with steak, baked potatoes, broccoli, and apple pie, Gunny told her, “At home, one of my concubines would fetch our meals, but I don’t have any – with me I mean. Julia is pregnant and back in my home pod. Ruth and I weren’t good for each other, so I matched her up with a new extractee who seemed like a better fit. I was hoping to find a replacement while I was here on pickup duty.”
Vivie looked at him and said, “Instead you got saddled with me.”
“Yep, but I wouldn’t call it saddled,” Gunny responded. “You’ll just have to help me pick.”
“That’s fine,” Vivie told him, “but I don’t think I’m ready to be a sponsor, and for sure not a mother. I’ll wait. Anyone I could choose as concubine would have to be older than me. But don’t worry, I think I can work with you, ‘cuz I’m used to working with a strong mentor.” She spread butter on her steak, potato, and broccoli and began to empty her plate.
the voice in her head told her.
Suddenly, Vivie was exhausted, and she released a huge yawn followed by another.
Gunny, smiled and told her, “Let’s get these trays recycled and you off to bed.”
“It’s no wonder you’re tired,” he explained. “You spent a heck of a lot longer in the med-tube that I did. Repairing your muscle and bone damage took seriously more time than my little puncture and blood replenishment. Your quick thinking and first aid saved me from some serious ‘tube time if I had bled out.”
As they walked, Gunny continued, “Ordinarily, I’ve been bunking with my Marines, but you rate a pod. I used your extra ‘tube time to scout us up one as far from the new extractees as I could. We’ll grab some rack time, and tomorrow I’ve scheduled you for some sleep training. You’ll start with Navy and Marine etiquette, protocols, and terminology. You may be a newbie, but we don’t want you to sound and act like one.”
As they approached a door, it opened for them to enter. the ‘voice’ told her.
Still unsure how to use her implant, Vivie said aloud, “Thank you AI. Please call me Vivie.”
“I was raised to be polite,” Vivie responded. “We’ll both be polite to each other.”
Gunny looked at her, then pointed to a door. “Your master bedroom is through there. It has an ensuite ‘facility.’ I’ll be over here in one of the concubine bedrooms. Ask the AI for anything you need.”
Vivie stomped her foot. “No you won’t! You’re going to hold me and keep the nightmares away.”
Snuggled in his arms, Vivie cried for her lost Nate. She already considered Gunny a good candidate to substitute for Nate, but a distant second in her heart. She hurt, and would for a long while. As her sniffles wound to a stop, she pulled her new protector close and whispered, “Sam, I’m not an innocent. I haven’t done any sex stuff, but it’s okay with me if you find someone to haul your ashes. But every now and then, I’m going to need to be cuddled like this.”
Gunny turned, kissed her forehead, and she slept.
In the morning, while breakfasting in the mess, a tall, stunning blonde Marine approached their table. Gunny stood and introduced them, “Vivie, this is Melody, Staff Sergeant Melody Johns, my right hand, my friend, and my fuck buddy. Melody, may I introduce Cadet Vivie Arthur, my new owner? Sit with us, please.” Then he added, “You heard about yesterday’s FUBAR? I’m Vivie’s Chinese obligation.”
Inkie no longer had concubines. Her originals had either matured into volunteers or left with those who had. Most of the time, they all traveled with her. They were members of her band, after all. When her itch needed scratching, and self-stimulation with Helva just wouldn’t do, she could reach out. They weren’t friends with benefits; she was the friend with benefits. Her family was Helva and her growing children, Dinky and Armand. Vivie had a plethora of extended family, and she was fond of...
“Genevieve, What the hell mess have you got yourself into?!” Boatswain Genevieve Arthur knew Captain Pierce Masters, formerly Number One of the Bunte Kuh, was really upset and worried. He only called her ‘Genevieve’ in the heat of passion, sexual or otherwise. She answered carefully, “Just following orders, Sir. Bossie can verify that Dreck, err Captain Dreck, called ‘No quarter,’ so I gave none.” She added, “He gave no additional instructions, so I followed his standing orders to the...
In Inkie’s view, the ‘contest’ was a huge success from the start and a royal pain in the ass. Submissions rolled in. Good ones. But also, far too many pedantic, repetitive propositions that wholly missed the point of the contest. There were also a plethora of submissions from psychologists and similar professions that proposed to analyze ‘aliens’ to understand their aversion to violence. That was more than a little troubling. Had they guessed the intent of the symposium? In short, the Pareto...
Sam had planted an idea. Vivie was fishin’ in a different kind of honey hole, and she wasn’t after fish. She and Jennifer were sitting on a bench in a park, each with a bag from Subway. They were dressed down in faded jeans, tee shirts, and worn sneakers. Helva’s drones had indicated that the park was frequented both by runaways and pimps on the hunt for those runaways. Jennifer had started training in martial arts the day after she became Vivie’s dependent, and now was Vivie’s preferred...
In the morning, Vivie woke with two warm bodies cuddled, one on each side. Parenting was a skill she’d need to learn, but this awakening was very nice and a welcome introduction. When she felt stirring, she nudged the pair to full awareness, and herded them into the ensuite to share a shower. The twins, accustomed to sharing a bathroom for morning ablutions, took Vivie’s presence in stride. The three-person shower proved interesting and stimulating. By the time they were out and dry, Vivie...
Vivie stood at parade rest with Sergeant Johns and watched the stream of humanity exit the portal. She decided she needed practice to switch between family, Melody mode, and duty, Sergeant Johns mode. If she was to live up to her volunteer status, she couldn’t slip, not even once. The process of acquiring and assimilating new volunteers, their concubines, and their dependents was both exciting and heart breaking. Relationships and families were both newly starting and suddenly sundered. It...
Personally present in Vivie’s pod were Vivie, Inkie, Wendy, Gunny, and Melody. Avatar-holograms for Captain Pierce Masters, Helva and, Bossie were arranged across from those physically present. Ostensibly there as hostess and gofer, was June – Mom – the sometimes concubine of Gunny or Melody or Vivie as whim and occasion suited. In reality, she was there as an eavesdropper and a consultant, again as the situation suited. It was almost too funny; June had been instructed to chime in whenever...
It shouldn’t happen. It couldn’t happen. It did happen. Helva’s almost panicked voice rang throughout. Inkie woke slowly, barely aware for some extended time. She couldn’t see or hear, and she was breathing through a SCUBA-like full-face mask. Her wrists were fastened together as were her legs at the ankles. After a while,...
It had to be done, and there was no delegating this one. Captain Tweedledee had to die. Who the hell knew what Bossie would do, but it had to be done and screw the med-tubes. That was another thing. Boats had once heard a tech claim that with a head and a short enough time after death, a med-tube could re-grow a body and save just about anyone. So, no head. Tweedledee was no coward. Certainly not. He was a narcissistic, brutal, power-mad, sadistic, Caligula. He was a worse than unfit...
Vivie and Inkie had their heads together giggling. They were surreptitiously watching Wendy through her process of setting up her cadet corps. This was both high entertainment and even higher instruction. Wendy started by brainstorming with her lost kids and included Helva and Bessie. They decided that they would need at least one experienced scoutmaster/leader for each ship and many more for the Harrad colony. Well, then, what should they look for and how would they know it when they saw...
Green Eden appeared to be a beautiful green, white and blue sphere. From space it looked as inviting as any garden world. The transport descended through moderate clouds and approached a heavy forested land mass. We landed on a simple dirt field that had been cleared in the jungle. At the edge of the dirt field I saw a collection of primitive looking buildings made of wood. There were no machines, no robots, no ships or vehicles and no one waiting for us. Someone from the flight deck...
Kendra walked along the wooded path away from the Cadet Camp in her uniform on a hot hazy late August day distraught. She was dressed studiously with glasses, in dark green flannel pants, a dark green blazer, a light green collar shirt, a green beret and black shoes. She just failed an exam that would boot her out of this cadet program which was to generate money for her college year. She was a fair skinned redhead 20 years old with a freckled face, green eyes, her red hair up in a bun. She was...

The orange haired woman took the mirror thing from her face as I left the Admirals office and she leaned forward over her desk. “There is a washroom right over there.” I gave her a thankful smile. After I had freshened up I asked her.” How did you know I needed to go?” She smiled.” I am Cheeka and I come from Phantas. “She said that as if it would explain everything. Her purple eyes sparkled amused and she added. “Phantas is an old Terran Colony, much like Nilfeheim and we all have Psionic...
Writers note: Some readers may note similarities between the Star Trek universe and the fictional one created for this story. This story was written using some of my basic concepts of space travel and some were borrowed from Star Trek. To those of you who are offended by this concept, and transsexuals in general need to find your reading enjoyment somewhere else. To those fans of Star Trek: TNG, this story was inspired by the "Disaster"...
Based on a true story. I was a military officer in charge of a group of young students at West Point, the nations premier service academy. One day during inspections I found a red thong on a young plebe's (freshman) desk, clearly left out by mistake. The young female cadet must have rushed out to get to inspection and forgotten her contraband panties were still on her desk. I checked the name tags on the door, the names were of two females who had both been recruited for track. They had really...
Office SexThe commander stood at the window of his spacious office overlooking the lake and jungle with his hands clasped behind his back watching a group of cadets struggling with a heavy wooden log. They had to carry it over an obstacle course and only by working together could this task be achieved. This ancient time tested exercise promoted team work, group coordination and leadership. This exercise had been used by Navy trainers even before the Galactic Ascent on good old Earth. Of course it...
Swybar stood in the cargo bay of the Red Dragon and watched as a gang of S10 robots stowed away containers with real Loki torpedoes. His Kermac associate stood next to him with an almost feverish stare in his eyes. It would not take much and he would actually drool. The Agent of the worm was nowhere to be seen, but he expected him to be around. The Kermac pointed at a large cylindrical object that an Octobot had just lifted into the bay.” Is that really what I think it is?” “Yes this is a...
I kept my own promise and went to Hasvik and lit a torch for Astrid, Elena did the same and we didn’t talk much on our flight back. I didn’t know Astrid as well as she did, but she was a friend and she saved our lives, paying with hers. I still feel stuffed from breakfast even though it was close to five as we returned to the Burg. Midril had prepared what must have been the most calories laden and without question the biggest breakfast of Nilfeheim history. Rodney turned out to be the very...
The afternoon had been busy for Lamas. Distributing the available soldiers, cadets and guardsmen to cover the most vulnerable parts of their defences had taken him hours. Fortunately, Ronan with his vast experience had helped, and the King had taken command of the main gate in person. Now Lamas tried to pierce the darkness with his eyes. He had heard the clinking of steel on steel repeatedly and shadowy figures had run along the walls of Tanitsar. The traitors, if they were out there, were...
I was still as tired as a Tyranno during Longnight when the lights came on and a voice barked via the PA system: “0400 hours Cadets rise and shine. 0430 is Breakfast. At 0500 you will receive your first class in the Elbhard Auditorium.” And we found ourselves in said Auditorium at that time an hour later. Clean, fed and still tired. Again I tried to find a place in the back, so I could perhaps close my eyes for few moments. The Pan Saran Officer was already there. “Good Morning Class.” We...
It was Monday morning, and police cadet Katja "Kate" Perssen was driving in from the suburbs in the shiny new Jetta her parents had given her as a present for graduating police academy. Although she was newly assigned to the sex crimes unit, until she finished her training Kate was mostly working in the office writing reports and doing clerical work, so she was dressed appropriately to the task: she wore a white blouse that fit snugly against her 34D chest and presented just a bit too much...
Interracial“Have we been hailed?” Harris shook his head.”No not yet, but the sphere is transmitting genuine Union Transponder Codes.” The screen changed and a hooded Narth became visible. The Comm. Officer looked at his console and shrugged. The Narth spoke. “This is the USS Narth. “There was a pause and the Narth moved his shrouded head as if he was looking at someone then he nodded and said.” One hopes to be forgiven, by the one who has command. One was uncertain of the correct address. It is the...
The memorial service for Rodney Barack and Deadan took place almost immediately after our return to the Academy. It was a solemn affair and it brought home to me just how serious the affair on Archilerb really was. I was certain the affair was far from over as far as it concerned the fleet, the Yokuta and the level of hostilities between Union and the Galactic Council. I shot two of the Kermac bastards but I knew there had to be more. The Yokuta I fought were still under psionic control...
Everyone thought it would get easier after we got used to the stress and workload, but it did not, our instructors pushed us even harder. I was sent for 24 hours into the no light lock up for having a bad shave after returning from a 75 kilometer force march through the Jungle in just my underwear and a combat knife. The instructor argued that the knife was perfectly usable to perform a shave before reporting back. Narth did not fare much better and was send washing dishes by hand for the...
I was twelve and visiting a friend. Like me he was member of a cadet branch. Mine was for a ducal family in another empire. His was from a secondary cadet branch of the royal Ming family. We did not know the heir Mara was visiting or that things were going to go bad. Men attacked through the gate and killed the guards. Rog tried to protect Mara as her guards were killed. As for me ... I attacked the men. I shoved a pistol to the side and struck into a throat with the walking stick I had just...
Wulf activated his cloak and put the suit in flight mode. Like a human missile he flew towards the ware house. Another energy beam emitted from the alien craft and slammed into the ground, where he had been a second ago. “Rusty, activate weapons and open remote control. He slaved the ships weapon control to his suit and a pair of green crosshairs appeared before his eyes. As soon as he lined up the cross hairs he pressed with his thumb on a small contact on the side of his index finger and a...
Technically she was a coach operator and so it was noted on her pay slip from Red Triangle Lines Corporation, and the ship she flew was only a D 180 Long Range Shuttle, but she called it ship and despite the fact that she was the entire crew of the ship, she considered herself a star ship captain. Out here in the Fornax satellite it was not necessary to operate full size Leyland or the truly big MB Space Buses. She never had more than ten passengers and her shuttle had room for 180...
We watched him leave and as we left the training hall, Narth asked. “Lying can be polite sometimes, is that so?” I was thinking for a moment what he meant and then said. “We humans always say we prefer the truth, but in certain cases we rather not want to hear or tell the truth. Especially when dealing with others. Why do you ask?” “You said to La Lupe that you are a ruffian at best, and yet you are the best fencer and I am not certain our instructor is much ahead of your skill level, but I...
The Commander still stared at the torn off rank insignia of the former Midshipman as his Desk, Then hisCom flashed with the top urgent icon. He touched the screen and a Holo transmission from Fleet headquarters solidified. It was the Old man himself, Admiral of the Fleet McElligott. “Where is Midshipman Olafson?” “Sir, the Ex Midshipman is just transferred to the brig. That subject has been dealt with swift and harsh. I doubt he is conscious. Thirty five lashes and off to Brisbane...
Somewhere in the Mongolian desert, January 2097 Lt. Richard Stahl ducked behind the remnant of a wall, to reload his gun and to check on the others. “Smithers when are those Cobras coming? We need them now or we’re going to be toast.” The Chinese tanks crawled over the ridge. Stahl spit into the sand and cursed.”Never fight a land war against China and what are we doing here?”J ones his SAW man grinned weakly. “Fighting a land war with China and it isn’t looking all too good, Sir.” “Where...
The music blasting from the speakers onto the flight deck of this small specialized space ship was called Country music and no one past the Sol system would know what it was, the man in the one person command center of the ship however grew up in Texas, long before the Galactic Ascent and he sang along, knowing every lyric by heart. He was a big man, with fists like five pound hams, a barrel chest and a weathered sun tan. So long ago he had been a Texas Ranger and now over three thousand...
The Herald was back in a holding cell aboard the same space station he had been freed not so long ago. This time he was not in a stasis field but from his head down in a clear plastic material suit with a metallic collar. No matter what he had tried, the material not only slowed down his every move, it resisted his diamond hard needle sharp claws. Right now the suit had bonded with the wall and he could not move even a few centimeters. He decided to research this more once he was free again....
The Rama Bot lowered them to the ground at the edge of the space ship bone yard. Wind howled between the rows of ships and tugged at their suits. The man calling himself Sergei now, could not shake the feeling that they were watched. Some of the ships were clearly alien, perhaps of civilizations that joined and adopted the Common design scheme. Perhaps of vanquished foes with technology deemed inferior. Some of the designs they recognized, some of the ships looked ready to fly others had...
Istee Da Notham was out of breath as he stormed into the back office of the Dark Temple. Mitzitrone the Head priest sat behind his desk reading something and was quite startled at the undignified and unannounced entrance of his Right hand man and fellow Priest.” What in Darkum’s name? Has someone put a Stickle-Incher under your robe?” Notham pointed his arm to the door. “I saw him and I felt him. The Dark One is here and he is here now. I could feel more power than I ever felt. More power...
-- Phil - 2053 -- The flight to Australia was long but uneventful. They were talking about building new planes that were faster and had more room, but they were still on the drawing board. Fortunately, dad had sprung the extra to get me a seat more suited for long legs. It was still cramped even for me, but it was a lot better than the other seats. January in Cairns, oh what fun. It was hot, humid and threating to rain any minute. Being a Kiwi I wasn’t used to these conditions, and I was...

IncestMother Ethel always enjoyed the short walk to the train station. It was beautiful Autumnal morning and Mother Ethel took the opportunity to walk to the train station as she knew that she had a very busy day ahead. Those that saw Mother Ethel along the way bowed reverently, they knew that Mother Ethel was a Nun of the Monastery of Repentance and when a Nun or a Monk walked past it was polite to bow, for many knew what the Nun's and Monk's of the Monastery were capable of. As Mother Ethel strolled...
He remembered the last moments of his life quite vividly. They had led him up to the scaffold, after they had removed all his rank insignia. Commander Stone before him actually collapsed and the marines had to drag him to his spot on the scaffold. It took all his will power not to do the same and set one foot before the other. The solemn beat of the drums stopped and the Executioner asked him if he had any last words. He had none, the night before he had written a letter to his son Swybin and...
Richard stood by the view port in his office aboard the Devastator. The Ship was still on its way back to the LMC. The Narth were certain that the next Y’All invasion would come from this direction. He had seen the Narth Sphere during the last Y’All invasion and now that the Narth Supreme had personally told him that the Narth would be on the Union Side and hinted he would share some Narth technology with the Union he was far less concerned as he was before. He smiled at his own reflection,...
The Call has been made and the Herald was about to complete the first part of the mission. He had been sent in advance to gauge the strength of this union and to secure the secret of the weapon that was able to defeat the Y’All. He had not been sent alone, but with him he had 300 mighty Y’All ships crewed not only by a new generation of Y’All warriors, but also by a large number of cloned beings, called the Kermac. It was decided that the Y’All should be led this time by an intelligent...
Egill terminated the connection and leaned back. Algear glanced at his friend.”You love that boy and you told me so many times and yet you criticized him and snarled at him during the entire call, I do not understand.” “It is my way to show him, I care. He understands.” Algear sighed and said in complete unison with the Narth.” Humans.” Egill padded Algear on the shoulder. “ I explain it to you one of these days.” To the Narth he said.” Now can you explain to me why Eric is on the Assembly...
The five potato shaped space ships immediately attacked. Their weapons were consistent with Y’All technology and so were their shields. Stahl looked over the scanner results and was convinced it was exactly the same as 1500 years ago. The Chief Science officer confirmed it.”Sir, these are defiantly Y’All ships. Even the power output and everything is exactly the same as it was 1500 years ago. It looks like they made no improvement at all.” If this was the case, the Admiral thought, then this...
Carl Kerry leaned on his staff and let his gaze wander over the peaks of the mountains and the alpine meadows before him then he looked over his flock of goats grazing on the herbs and grasses. The orange sun in the sky migt eventually be fixed by Wurgus engineers, but there was no hurry. The local star would last a many hundred million years before it begun to expand, reach the next stage in a suns life and become a red M Class star. In the process of this development swallow the Planet...
Peter had put his ship down on the leveled landing field of Annapurna Port. There was a small collection of stone and wood buildings. The energy signature came from the largest building in the little town, the local exchange. He checked his gun, a copy of Wulf’s Tri Blast and made sure his shield belt was fully charged and operational and then left the ship. As soon as he left, his shield locked and activated the purple shimmering Para Dim Shield. It was about thousand meters to the town...
The Space bus came out of FTL and approached the blue and white sapphire sphere that was Nilfeheim. I had 6 month before I had to return to the Academy. This was my home world and I was longing to take a long deep dive and feel the fresh cold water all around me, it was of course still Longnight. That I had left Nilfeheim just a little over a year ago was something I could hardly believe. So much has happened since then; it felt I had been gone for much longer. “I wonder how Nilfeheim is...
I did not feel like celebrating but I sat down with the others at the big table and was asked to tell them about my time at the academy. I gave them a very rough and condensed version and I did not even finish part of it as there was too much to explain and I could tell I had lost them as I told about the formal dinner, so I recalled the events around the duel and that was well received. I also told father that I would not be here for long and that a ship was on its way to pick me up. Elena...
The communications officer of the Devastator reported to Stahl. “Sir we have no contact to Fornax Hub. The last message we received was a distress call and now it is silent on all channels.” The old Admiral wished the huge ship could go any faster and glanced over to captain Harris, knowing full well that the ship was already pushing its engines close to the red line. He did not want to push them any further. The mighty Devastator would be of no help if she arrived at a crisis with damaged...
The Devastator had made it. No one aboard knew very much about the old Celtest engines, except Centron the Ships AI that was also not a product of Union Tech but the ships original AI, utmost loyal to Stahl. Centron warned that the old engines would need serious servicing before they could be used again at these speeds. That would mean the way home would take much longer, unless the Chief Engineer could figure out how to service the alien engines. However this was a problem, they would face...
Peter Baker had neither slept nor eaten much in the last days. Everything had gone wrong ever since he captured the Y’All herald and brought the being to Fornax Hub. He told them to keep the being in Stasis until fleet could arrive. He had barely left the security lock up facility aboard the stations when all lights went out and the station was boarded by Y’All and Kermac. What was odd that these Kermac fought, they weren’t the same cowardly white skinned Kermac he knew about, and still these...
The Kermac High Circle of Wizards listened to the report of their spy. He had shown them a recording of the Assembly proceedings as well. Vorneun the Intelligence wizard looked perplexed.” Can someone tell me what is going on here? I never even heard of the Fornax Cluster, what were they talking about Kermac in Y’All ships?” He addressed Nachacht the Military Wizard as he expected him to have done something in secret, but Nachacht looked as surprised but the Grand Wizard clenched his little...
Stahl’s suit shield had collapsed twice, and the scorch marks on his armor showed that he came awful close to making his ideas of retiring quite mute, but the Steel Gauntlet had managed to secure the alien ship, and the grey skinned Kermac Captain still struggled in his augmented suit fist.
