“We’ll make sure both of them are full of gas, and I’ll have my man at the bulk-plant drop off two, three-hundred gallon tanks with hand pumps. They will be easier to handle and you’ll always have one full. When you need diesel for the generator, or gasoline for the Jeep and tractor, just call us on the radio, and we’ll have the delivery truck come fill your tank, or tanks, on the other side.
“Just another thought on the radios. We need to order more and put them in both fuel delivery trucks with a base unit at the bulk-plant. The base radio can monitor our farm channel - and their fuel delivery channel.”
“That’s a great idea, Josey. I have the address of the company Sheriff Glass ordered these from, if you want me to call about them.”
“Yes, and be sure to ask for the same price she paid. It doesn’t hurt to ask. Hell, tell them you and I are deputies and even drop our names, if that will help.
“Billy Wayne, if we ever feel we have all the outlaws corralled, we’ll set up a five-hundred gallon bulk tank for diesel, and another one for gasoline, over at the landing. That way you can refill without waiting for the truck.”
