Preston Pickering
Manager of Maddy’s Trust Fund, 5’-11’’ tall, 200 pounds or so, 55 years old, short hair turning gray
Since Ken still had off that day, we arose late the next morning. Following a good breakfast for us and our Familiars, I started Ken on the First Book. He was surprised that he could now read it and understand it. I continued on Book 6, which appeared to be a lot like Book 3. Just when I thought that I was nearly finished with it, more pages would appear, even though the book never became any thicker. We still had a lot of fried rice and some Sweet and Sour Pork left, so there wasn’t a lot of cooking that day.
Ken was scheduled to return to work on the second day after we were married. He was on the middle shift for the next two weeks. He left to change clothes and pack some of his clothing and other things at noon. He would have some time to pack things to move here before reporting to work at 2:00 that afternoon. He planned to move everything here over the next few days.
After arriving in the apartment that I had been renting for several years, I spent some time packing part of my clothes, before transferring to the area near work where I usually appeared with Alva. We had only just arrived there when Alva alerted me.
“Trouble, Master Ken,” she told me. I could see a group of young Ley Line users standing between me and the building where I worked. There was nothing to do but to confront them, as we weren’t permitted to transfer into the company’s building, and in fact, it was warded against that. Even trying to approach the building from a different direction wouldn’t work, as the young Wizards were sure to sense any transfer and be prepared to counter it.
“Stay close, Alva,” I warned my Familiar before casting one of the wards around me that I had learned from the book that I had purchased. I now knew that it was a Dragon ward.
The Wizards were blocking my way as I approached them on the sidewalk. As I drew closer, one of them stepped forward to address me.
“Are you the Red Dragon who appeared at our meeting a few days ago, Sweeney?” he demanded in an upset voice.
“Yes, I am. What of it?” I demanded adopting a hard core stance. There was no use denying it any longer. My frank admission seemed to take the wind out of their sails to use a maritime expression.
“You ... admit that?” he asked shortly in a surprised voice. The others had backed up a step or two on hearing that.
“Certainly, why shouldn’t I. Being there wasn’t illegal or anything. Of course, I was mainly an observer and was there to back up Maddy. Not that she needed any backing up,” I told him with a smile.
“No, she’s never needed any backing up, and she took out Chris Pennson without a spell. That sword of hers flew from her hand and left nothing to even bury. Chris was a friend of ours. She shouldn’t have treated him like that,” the young Wizard told me in an upset voice.
“Should she have just forgotten that he sent four men with explosives to attack her wards and to murder her if they had succeeded in breaching those wards?” I demanded in a low threatening voice.
“She could have called the police and had him arrested,” came the response.
“And how long would the police have been able to hold him, if they could have arrested him in the first place?” I demanded. None of them had an answer to that.
“I’ll tell you,” I said when no one spoke up. “About thirty seconds, if they could even find him and arrest him. You all know that any of us could escape from anything that we need to,” I reminded them.
“So what’s your real problem?” I demanded next.
“You think you are so high and mighty because you can change into a Dragon. You’ve got a surprise coming,” he threatened before they all vanished with a transfer spell.
“Let’s go, Alva,” I told her, and we walked the rest of the way to the building. On entering, I was met by the president of the company.
“I need to speak to you, Sweeney,” he told me and had a couple of the watch managers there to back him up.
“Are you a Dragon?” he demanded to start with.
“Yes, I can become a Dragon,” I told him, to a surprised look from him.
“You admit it?” he asked still in a surprised voice.
“Certainly. Why not. It’s a fact. I imagine it will be common knowledge shortly. Those young Wizards who were outside the building will certainly tell everyone they meet,” I told him.
“Yes, they were here before you arrived. They told us what happened at one of their meetings. You were an accomplice to a murder. Also De Trocqueville was here and told us what occurred when that Witch went to the Demon-lands to retrieve her Familiar,” he told me.
“You don’t have that quite right,” I said with a smile. “She is actually a Dragon Witch.”
“That’s irrelevant. You can no longer work here. We can’t take the chance that someone or something will seek vengeance for what was done. Clean out your locker, you’re fired. Your final paycheck will be deposited in your account shortly,” he told me and turned to leave. I exhaled and noticed that a bit of smoke drifted from my nostrils when I did. The three of them saw that and quickly backed up. I just smiled at them.
“This wasn’t unexpected. It will be to your detriment,” I told them.
“Are you threatening us?” the president demanded in an angry voice.
“I don’t need to make threats. I have other ways to accomplish things,” I told him still smiling. Alva and I went to my locker and removed the few things in it. One of the managers had followed us at a distance. On finishing, I transferred right out of the building just to piss them off. This set off a number of alarms, as no one was supposed to do that, and they didn’t think that anyone could. They would be a while resetting their wards and alarms. I appeared back in my apartment.
“I may as well transfer all of this to Maddy’s house now,” I told Alva, and began transferring everything that I had already packed. Following that, I packed the remainder of my clothes and transferred them to the house along with Alva’s food and our other possessions. Her things went to the kitchen. Finally, I went to see the company that managed the apartments to inform them that I was moving out. It was early enough in the month that giving my notice wasn’t a problem. Alva and I returned to Maddy’s house in a despondent state despite what I had told my former employer.
Ken’s things started appearing a couple of hours after he left, and I presumed the worst. He arrived shortly after the last of them appeared.
“They let you go, didn’t they?” I asked.
“Yes, a bunch of young Wizards were waiting for me outside the building. They had already talked to the president of the company. He had also talked to De Tocqueville. I moved out of my apartment also,” he told me in a tired voice.
“Well, we were talking about starting our own security company. There isn’t a lot to keep us from doing that now,” I told him.
“What about the other Dragons? We don’t know what they will do yet,” he reminded me.
“There is that,” I admitted with a sigh. “Perhaps, we should wait a couple of weeks and see what happens,” I agreed.
“In the meantime, we can investigate my Trust Fund. I’ll contact them and set up a meeting,” I told him. Ken needed to sort out his things and get settled. I gave him a hand after integrating Alva’s things with Al’s and putting away her food.
The following morning, I called the number that I had for my Trust Fund. Someone picked up quickly, announced the name of their firm and asked how they could help me.
“This is Madailein Kavanagh. I need to speak to someone about my Trust Fund,” I told her.
“Yes, Miss Kavanagh, we have been expecting a call from you. Mr. Pickering, your account manager, will be pleased to see you at 10:00 tomorrow morning. Is there anything else that we can do for you?” the person on the phone asked in a pleasant voice.
“No, there is nothing else at present,” I told her.
“Do you know where we are located?” she asked next.
“Only vaguely,” I told her, and she gave me precise directions to their offices.
“We’ll see you tomorrow at 10:00 then,” she said before we broke the connection.
“Well, that was quick enough,” I told Ken after hanging up. “We see them tomorrow at 10:00 in the morning.”
“That went quickly.”
“Yes, apparently, they were expecting me to call,” I told him, but wondered, “how did they know that I would be calling them?”
“I haven’t the foggiest idea,” he told me, before returning to setting up his things in our bedroom and in the small parlor. The remainder of the day was spent studying. That night, there was only a little hugging and kissing for us. It only attracted a tiny bit of Magic.
In the morning following breakfast, we needed to make a decision on how we were going to travel to the meeting with my Trust Fund Manager.
“Should we drive there?” I asked Ken.
“Just where is this place?” he asked. I gave him the firm’s name and its address.
“I know where that is. It’s hard to find a parking place around there. I also know a destination near there where we can transfer to,” he told me.
“Do we take Al and Alva?” I asked.
“Yes, definitely. They are our Familiars, after all,” he insisted.
By 9:45, we were ready to go. I had checked the wards around the house, the property, and the car to ensure that they were all at full strength. In the front yard, Ken and I joined hands, and he cast the transfer spell. We all vanished to reappear in a small park surrounded by large office buildings.
“It’s the building on the right that we want,” he told me, and we all moved in that direction. The financial firm that handled my Trust Fund was located on the twelfth floor of the building. On exiting the elevator, we were in a small foyer that led directly to the large glass doors of the firm. Inside, we were greeted by a receptionist who smiled at us. She was seated behind a real mahogany desk. There were nine expensive wooden chairs available to seat clients in their reception area, which had a wooden wainscot with light blue wallpaper above it.
“Good morning, what can we do for you?” she asked.
“Good morning, I’m Madailein Kavanagh. I have a 10:00 o’clock appointment with a Mr. Preston Pickering,” I told her.
“Yes, Miss Kavanagh, he will be with you in just a few minutes,” she told us. “Please have a seat,” she suggested, as she picked up the handset of the phone on her desk.
Preston Pickering appeared in a minute or so. He was a tall older man in a suit. He appeared to be about 5’-11’’ tall, and about 200 pounds. His short hair was turning gray, and he appeared to be about 55 years old. He was smiling as he greeted us.
“Good morning, Miss Kavanagh. Please come with me,” he asked. Ken and I rose from where we were seated, and our Familiars joined us. Mr. Pickering didn’t seem surprised that Ken had joined me or that we both had Familiars.
“And this gentleman is?” he asked as we joined him.
“This is my husband, Kennith Sweeney,” I told him.
“Good morning, sir,” he said with a smile before leading the four of us down a corridor to a spacious private conference room which was decorated similarly to the reception area.
It appeared that the world had turned upside down during our time in the mountain. A few quick looks outside revealed a number of things. The light from the mid-afternoon sun, which was on the west side of the mountain, revealed at least 20 Dragons in the sky over and around this side of the mountain from my point of view. There were probably more that I couldn’t see. They were in a multitude of colors. In the cove below, there were a large number of their followers, or as I realized now,...
Dragon's first flightOn my way to the airport to pick up Dragon, I'm sweating already, even though it's only 50 degrees outside. I arrive at the short term parking lot at the airport with my balls aching at the workout I'm sure they will get over the next 2 days. You see, Dragon and I have been KIK friends for over 2 years now and have been, how do I say it, very intimate with each other. We've both exchanged nude pics of ourselves to the other one and even had a couple of video calls,...
Tintaglia Maddy’s Dragon name, she is a Light Blue Dragon, the only Female in the last 4,000 years or so. The trio of young Wizards appeared outside of the building where Kennith had previously worked a few seconds after leaving the Ley Line Wizards building. They smiled on seeing the wards around the building. Joining hands, they cast a spell to crash not only all of the wards protecting the building, but in addition, all of the wards that those working there were monitoring or closing...
Dragon's Flight pt3Seeing Dragon laying there with her gaping pussy gets my juices flowing and I climb on top of her pushing her legs together. As I begin to slide my cock into her, I grab a handful of her hair and pull her head back toward me. My cock is rock hard as I ease into her pussy and I can feel her juices flowing along my shaft. Slowly I fuck her and with every stroke Dragon moans. I lean over to her right ear and whisper, "Are you enjoying yourself? I know that I am." All that...
A squirrel quietly munched an acorn. It looked up, and noticed a translucent figure approaching. "Boo" the ghost tried. The squirrel seemed unimpressed and casually moved on to another acorn. The ghost drifted lightly over the ground, back and forth, searching, blending with the early morning fog. Ahead loomed a building; perhaps this was the place it seeks. It was the Chapel. No help there for a ghost. "Nooooooo!" the ghost cried, hauntingly. "Why will no one help me?" "Perhaps,"...

Isaac stared at the tiny glass bottle that had hung undisturbed around his neck for so many years. He had never thought to open it. Not once. But now it and a family legend were his only chance of surviving the night. In his other hand was the tiny dart which had pierced his skin. The rest of his squad had died in the ambush - twelve good men and women, dead at the hands of the Dark Mage's nightmarish creatures! He had survived, somehow, with only the dart in his shoulder. He might as well have...

Sunday started out just like any other day lately. I woke up next to Ken warm and contented, after a great night’s sleep. We awoke a bit late today, as yesterday had been a very exciting and wearing day. Being made Dragon Queen and having all of those Dragons here had been different. We’d had to deal with the police and the reporters too. Being made Dragon Queen was not something that I was expecting. Things were all right until I started breakfast. The smell, on opening the first can of cat...
There were other meetings underway that evening in Atlanta. The Mayor was in a meeting with the City Council. The Police Chief and the Fire Chief were present. There were also representatives from the business community in attendance as well as those from the several Insurance Companies affected by the attack. All of them had no idea of what the Dragon was or what it had used during the chase and attack. They were sure, however, that Magic was involved, but had no way to prove it, as neither...
Those who had been watching saw Ralahur seem to explode into pieces of flesh as a noise of indescribable tone went rushing past them and then into the sky, leaving them in wonder. With the priest destroyed, his followers turned and ran. The men that remained were so disheartened they laid down their weapons and asked for quarter. The very few that remained willing to fight, mostly the wild men, were quickly dispatched. The prisoners were rounded up until the council decided their fate. The...

Ken and I plus our Familiars could now slip through that ward. I also pulled up the ward on my car before...
‘I could use the easy money...’ the young nineteen-year-old woman thought to herself, feeling how empty her coin purse was getting. She pulled the contract and made her way to the indicated point of contact, the village chief, to reserve it. … “Hmmm... Not to sound offensive or anything, but pretty strong warriors and the like tried taking on this contract and failed...” the Hestle village chief, Illari Kircland, expressed his doubt to the girl standing in his doorway. Over and over they had made him practice continual analysis, pattern recognition, and tactical reassessment. Tactics require continual revision as new data emerges. As much as it irritated Mirgan, it was close to the Spring Equinox before the main body of troops was set to leave. The day after he had arrived, Aldren sent trusted riders that could scout out into the countryside to find out just what was happening. These riders came back with information that was taken directly into the tower. Aldren heard all their reports and found that the troops of the king were indeed traveling further north, bringing the priests with them. Any resistance by the...

Chapter 1 The final soulful note of the bagpipe lingered in the air long after the piper’s breath had left the instrument. Its full rich tone reverberated off the ancient stone monoliths, wrapping those few in attendance within its comforting and sorrowful embrace. It could not compete with cloaking sorrow that enveloped those gathered to...

I had just gotten off of an Internet chat with Joe and Dragon where Dragon had told me her idea of opening a kinky hotel. I made a mention of making it kind of like a FWB&B. Dragon, myself, and Joe all tossed around ideas about what we could add to the new business idea running through our perverted minds. The hotel, Dragon's Hole would be someplace secluded, middle of the forest in Oregon would be perfect, I think. As our visitors approach the hotel, they arrive through a wrought iron...

She had taken him, and had started to work her will on him, turning him into a petite bimbo without...

When he arose, he felt a difference in his body. A feeling that his limbs were lighter yet stronger than they had been. He...

Aldren had Mirgan sit next to him at the table. As soon as the others had taken their places, he got their attention. "Friends, we were trying to decide what to do about the siege against the dwarf kingdom. One of my younger captains brought to my attention a plan of action that I find might suit our purpose. Mirgan, will you give us your thoughts." He then motioned for Mirgan to stand and speak. Mirgan started to speak. While he had been present for the entire conference, he had spent...
Blood was pooling in Nicholas’ palm, slowly running in rivulets down his wrist and across the wooden tabletop. He sat in an excellent reproduction of a Louis XXI chair while the elegant period table was slowly stained crimson. Peter Styverson’s lifeless body lay at his feet. Once again Michael had slipped through Nicholas’ fingers, once again a...
The dappled afternoon light was distinctive outside the car window as Valerie drove down the tree-shrouded lane towards Nogardshire. The light, she noticed it as it was diffuse, not the gray light of the so often leaden sky. This light glowed with the luminous texture of a pearl caught by the sunlight. Valerie screamed as Michael swerved the car into the right hand lane, dropping into third gear and accelerating hard he watched the headlights of the Mercedes fade somewhat in the rear view mirror. He had not sensed the deadly intent coming from the quickly closing Mercedes but was simply moved by a gut instinct and had taken action. The bullet meant for the driver side window smashed more or less harmlessly into the rear taillight. Michael moved through traffic smoothly, luckily the flow of...

"Alistair?" "Oh, good, you couldn't sleep either?" He pulled her into a tight hug. Aldren's concentration was broken as he heard a scream coming from above and behind him. Before he could react, he felt something hit him in the back, knocking him from the saddle and sending him sprawling on the trail. He felt a severe burning sensation as the creature's claws dug deep into his back, snapping the chain mail links. He tried to roll away to escape and managed to stagger upright, but the creature sank its talons into his calf, tripping him back to the ground. Ameni pulled...
When the horse that Peryn had been using returned to the stable without him, a party of seven men was sent out to find out what happened to him. Bronas was the first to spot where he had fallen, but all that remained in the trampled dirt and grass were hoof prints, bloodstains, and some prints that Bronas could not identify. When the rest of his companions arrived at the spot, they were just as puzzled. Searching around, they found the tracks leading off into the woods. They were like the...
The next morning passed in a whirlwind of activity, partly because Alfred stepped on the grounds at the same time as Dr. Rootstein arrived for work. I knew when I returned from the pub that Alfred would be caught. The hospital ward was small and an empty bed would be noticed. I also knew Alfred didn’t care, and I couldn’t blame him for sleeping in his wife’s cottage. “Perhaps my rebellious nature rubbed off on him,” I had thought. The ward’s night nurses had checked with me when he wasn’t in...

With a start, I woke up on an unknown floor. I went to wipe my eyes, when suddenly the little hairs on the back of my neck stood on end. ‘Hello? Is anybody there?’ I asked of the inky darkness. There was a strange shuffling noise like something was moving about. ‘Hello? I know you’re there ’cause I can hear you moving around’ I said. There was a quiet chuckle, then the ground shook as if something very heavy landed. Then the ground shook again and again, as if the footsteps were so heavy the...
There was a sound like an explosion and Pae turned and shoved Little towards the back of the cave as half of the front of the cave came down. Several large rocks hit Pae in the back driving her to the ground, pinning her there as she blacked out. It took some time before Pae woke up enough to call out to Little, "Little, are you all right?" "Yes, I think so. The cave is completely blocked. It's too dark in here. I can't see anything." "I know. Are you hurt or trapped or anything like...

An early frost had turned the Japanese landscape coppery brown as the Kawasaki BK117 helicopter sped over the low mountains heading out of Tokyo. The land was rugged, but held an inherent mystery that Michael found intriguing. It was a stark contrast to the emerald greens and deep browns that Michael had just left behind in England. Three helicopters now wound their way northwest from Tokyo toward Sado Island in the Niigata Prefecture. A few of Onji’s people had met them when they had landed. ...
