Within a month, Matt and I created this work environment that was fun yet productive. Sharing a small office space with your boss could be nerve wrecking, but his laid back attitude toward everything made the situation pleasant. The owner of the store was Matt’s twenty-three year old best friend whose parents purchased the place for the two of them to run; therefore, they were cool as hell and lenient as long as you handled your business. I always had a good work ethic, so when he constantly complimented and praised me on my performance it just sort of rolled off my back.
