It's a cold Saturday morning the pan sizzles as you pour the pancake mix on, looking out the kitchen window you see the sky is filled with grey clouds spitting small flakes of snow that settles on the ground. Your house sits in a remote area it prevents reporters from hounding Tatsumaki about the Hero Association. Not that their an issue since she could flatten them with a single thought, but she's more worried about you getting swarmed by them.
Once the breakfast has been prepared to your 5-star level you plate it up and decide to pay sleeping beauty a visit. Peering into your bedroom you see the outline of what looks like a woman sprawled over the bed her small body covered with one of your t-shirts hanging below her knees, a trail of drool runs out of her mouth onto the pillow. You spent most of last night watching a series about a lost girl or something, you don't pay much attention you just make out that you, Tat likes it so you watch it to make her happy.
Her arms are wrapped around your pillow holding it tightly at first glance you see that she's tiny compared to you she's around 4'8 feet while your about 6 foot, something she doesn't like you pointing out. She can also be very childish, she belittles you with names though to be fair she only does this when you deserve it… most of the time.
However despite her appearance she actually seven years older than you are and ridiculously powerful, you know she won’t hurt you, at least not seriously. She will never admit it to anyone, not even to you, but she does love you and will grind anyone who tries to hurt you into dust and you can't help but smile knowing this.
Slowly you open the door and make your way inside, the room is still dark the daylight blocked out by the drawn curtains, placing the tray on the nightstand you sit down on the bed and place a hand on her head brushing her hair to the side as you Lean in close to her ear to whisper.
"Tat, wake up,” you say softly as you gently rocked her shoulder, Tat is a nickname you came up with because you had trouble remembering her name when you first met. At first, she hated it, then she tolerated it, and finally she got used to it and now only you are allowed to call her it.
“Mmm,” she buries herself deeper into the blanket her emerald green hair disappearing under the white pillow. “Tat come on you can't stay in bed all day” you shake her a bit harder “Let me sleep,” she says groggy her voice muffled under the pillow.
While she spends most of her time fighting monsters, you spend most of your time fighting her out of bed. Well If there's one thing you learnt over three years of living with her, it’s how to do just that, and your weapon is food. “Fine, I guess I’ll have to eat these pancakes by myself then”.
“Pancakes?” she asks curiously keeping her head covered with the pillow, she sounds sceptical about your claim but still interested. They say the food is the way to a man's heart, well, it's also the way to hers.
"Yep made them just a moment ago, the butter is still melting, even got that orange syrup you like."
Slowly and cautiously, a ball of curly emerald green fuzz rises from under the white pillow. Tat’s face is pale some dust of sleep still hangs in the side of her eyes. You pick up the try and place it on her lap.
“Thanks” you gives you a quick peck on the cheek and she jumps right into the steaming pancakes in front of her practically shovelling them into her mouth.
As she eats you open the curtains and allow light into the demons pit. Bras pants and other cloths are thrown around the room, the only thing that's not balled up or thrown down is her favourite black dress which hangs from a hook on the door.
You've been walking around in your shirt and some boxers, you quickly throw on some jeans a 'fresh' shirt and you green hoodie.
“Where are you going?”
“Out,” you say sheepishly, you wanted to make sure she was up before you left, last time you went out without telling her she flew all over the city trying to find you be because she thought someone kidnapped you.
Her eyes narrowed "Why you don't have work and you have no reason to go out."
"Just thought I get some errands done while I have time, you know pick up some shopping and stuff."
"What errands?"
'…CRAP she's asking too many questions, Think to damn it THINK. Got it!'
You let out a sigh "ok you got me" you throw your hands up "the truth is, my mother is coming over tonight so I'm grabbing some stuff."
You can see the colour fade from her face as you mention your mother. They have never liked each other, a fact your mother is all too happy to point out whenever she visits.
"Why is she coming over."
"She won't be staying for too long shes just coming for dinner, besides I'll be here with you."
She just glares at you, her green eyes drilling into your skull like some sort of hate Lazer.
"You better be, that woman is the devil."
You should be upset about her comment, but in all fairness, you are lying to get her off your back so you can overlook it this time.
“I just have a few errands to run, I need to get the lamb for tonight”. She polished off her pancakes with a satisfactory smile.
"Lamb huh, you wouldn't be trying to butter me up would you?" She set the tray beside her and crawled forward "you're up to something Dan Tatomaro" she said with a large grin.
"I don't know what you mean" you pretend to be shocked before letting out a giggle.
"Fine if it's for one night I can put up with it" she falls onto her back and stretches.
"Thank you babe" you bend over and give her a kiss, but pull away before your tongue gets involved.
"I'll let you know when I'm back" you yell as you open the front door.
"Don't be an idiot" us the reply you hear shouted from your bedroom.
