Larry earned his Driver's License a few months later, and they went to concerts, and the local lover's lane. Melody bought a bigger purse to carry the things that a girl needs. One of them was condoms. She was the first to admit she had gambled when he had fucked her at the pond.

Her parents agreed, and she carried the baby to term and gave birth three days after school ended. June, Skeeter and another friend, gave her a baby shower, and most of the ladies came. Even though they disapproved of her having a baby out of wedlock, they admired her courage in facing it down. They named him Albert, after her Grandfather.
Her Mom took care of him while Mel went to school for her Junior and Senior years, having skipped her Sophomore year. She had skipped a grade in Grade School,also. The Principle had suggested that they have her tested, and they found out that she had an IQ of 168. She was a straight A student, holding a 4.0 grade average, and was Captain of the Debating Team. She earned medals and honors from that, as well. When she graduated, she was encouraged to consider Law School. She had received several full scholarships, that covered he expenses, and also gave her an allowance, in addition to the money her parents gave her. She lived at home, while attending college and the Law School, and graduated at the top of her class. She was offered a clerking position, because she needed to be 21 to join the Bar. She was there when she was offered a job with a law firm in another town, a bit away from home. She earned, also a reputation for representing civil, and business cases just as vigorously. It was where she met William, and Mr. Pollard. William had become acquainted with her through his real estate business, and had suggested to his friend that he look into the possibility of getting her into the firm. The friend, named Rousey, had gone and watched her in court a few times, and checked into her resume' and was impressed. He had made the initial offer to her. The attorney that she was working for had assured Mr. Rousey that her credentials were beyond impeccable. The only reason that he hadn't offered her a position, was that she wanted to go somewhere on her own. She had been born and raised in this town, and she wanted to "spread her wings."
Her and Albert, lived in the small, but nice house. She wanted something better, though, and searched the listings for something else, that was nicer. She had found THIS house, and paid for it, CASH! Mel had surprised herself, remaining untouched since she had moved out of her parents house. She purposely steered away from men that were attracted to her, not wanting to tempt herself.
