Finally they'd reopened.

They never left out of courtesy when I'd push my cart in a like manner. They'd meet eye and sneer.
I raised up and took a look. It wasn't a female, but, a male. He'd turned left and was in the next aisle over.

He got down to the end of the aisle and u-turned. I once more bent to my task.
