"He said there was one girl that lived near them, and was 3 months younger than him. He said he had the biggest crush on her. They spent most of their time together, and in the summertime, went to a place in a nearby creek, that was fed by a spring. It was always full of water and was very clear. They started going swimming together when they were just 7 or 8, and they NEVER wore bathing suits. They just swam naked. They did it so much that they went all the way until they graduated High School. Every summer they would go swimming, almost every day, and always naked. One day they heard someone coming, and got out, and went in the bushes, so they wouldn't be seen by anyone else, and it turned out to be her Father. HE called them out, and told them he had been watching them for a couple of YEARS, and watched to see if there was any "hanky-panky" going on. They had made a diving board on one bank of the creek, and had a rope swing on the other side"
"He told them he had watched them so many times, and they had just sat and talked, and the most they had touched was to hold hands, and sometimes, to kiss. He had never seen Wayne touch his daughter in any way he could call "getting fresh" with her. He told them that he had seen her lay her head in his lap a few times, but that was all. He just wanted them to know that they had earned his trust. They were 11 or 12 when this happened."
"He said that not too long after that, she got her first period, and it scared them both half to death. They had been swimming, and all of a sudden, she felt a cramp, and he saw blood running down her leg. They grabbed their clothes and ran to her house. He ran inside and got her Mom, and she came outside to see what was wrong. They were both wanting to cry, but didn't. Her MOM laughed at her, and took her inside to clean her and show her how to put a napkin on until she finished. Her Mom sat them both down and explained what had happened, and what it meant. She answered all their questions, and told Wayne to make his "thingy" hard. He did, but it took a long time, with her watching, and she explained that if he put it inside the little hole in the girl and pushed it in and out, and some stuff came out of it, it would give her a baby. She also showed him a tiny thing just inside of her, and said if he did put it inside of her, or even his finger, that it would break, and she wouldn't be a virgin anymore. She told him that she HOPED that she would still be a virgin on the day she got married, and wanted him to help her stay a virgin."
"He got busy working on farms after that, and didn't see her for almost a month. When he DID see her, she had changed. Her breasts had started growing, and she had hair around HER "thingy." He said her hips had gotten bigger, too. They started school not much later, and were in the 9th Grade. She was one of the prettiest girls in the school, but they were best friends, and she sat with him at lunch, and talked on the bus going to and from school. They lived well out of town, and going to town on dates was a big deal, and they caught rides with her older brother, and he would meet them at the skating rink, at the end of the evening, and bring them home."
"He said that they went out together, but, after they got their Driver's Licenses, they went in her Dad's car, or in HIS Dad's car. She went out with other boys, and he went out with other girls, but it just wasn't as much fun. He got drafted not long after they graduated, and went in the Army for 2 years, and she went to a Secretarial School. She wrote him and told him she had met someone, and fallen in love. He was overseas, and bought some things and sent her for a wedding gift, and wished her all the best. He got out and never went back. He would visit his family, but had gotten a job, and was doing okay. His only other good friend was Carl, and Carl had started his business and asked him to go to work with him. He did, and had been there ever since. He saw her family a few times, but hadn't seen her again until many years went by. She had married and divorced twice when he saw her, and had 2 sons. They shook hands and talked, but the spark was long gone for both of them."
"When we finished eating, we went to a place he knows, and went dancing. He's quite a good dancer, too. We had loads of fun just acting silly, and listening to the music. He held me like a gentleman should, during the slow dances, and we finally called it a night at around midnight. I drove him home, and thanked him for an interesting, and FUN, evening, and gave him a "Good Night" kiss. ON THE LIPS!!! I went home, but couldn't sleep. I gave up at about 6 this morning and came here. I kept Phil company while he was here, and hugged him, I was so happy. I've been here just thinking about last night. We, or, at least, I, had the best time I could remember. I'm SO glad that it's not like the old days, and a girl can ask a man out, without looking cheap, or desperate. I'm going to wait a few days and see if HE calls ME, though. Think I'll take him to a kareoke place so I can sing to him. See if he likes my voice. I was in choral groups, and sang solo, sometimes. Mostly in church."
The others had started to filter in, and Sharon went to her office, thinking that Julia might want to talk, also. SHE had been a BIG hit, last night. The others had fallen in love with her. NOT ONLY because she was good in bed, but had been witty, charming, and more fun than any of them had been expecting.
Julia came in and knocked at her door, and came in, and was invited to sit for a while. Sharon had poured them both cups of coffee, so they compared notes and giggled. Julia's first act had been to kiss Sharon on the lips, and thank her for inviting her and Carl to spend time with them. Carl had told her about some of the things HE had done, and she did the same, admitting that she was getting "cold feet" until Bruce had made her feel so at ease when they went upstairs. She had learned, long ago, NOT to talk about other lovers that could be interpreted as comparisons, but had simply told Carl that it had been fun, AND interesting. He had walked her inside, and asked if she wanted to go out that evening. She had said yes, but had told him that she had OTHER plans for them, as well. They had made love one more time before he left.
Sharon's phone was ringing, and she excused herself to answer it. It was Cathy. Lannie was in the delivery room,and was getting ready to have her baby. It was almost 2 months EARLY. She had already called the Kelly's and they were calling the Goodrich's. Lannie was having a rough time of it. Doctor Fox had agreed to come and assist Dr. Immelmann with her, as he was more familiar with her. Both were on the way.
Sharon told Julia that she was going to the hospital, and she would call her as soon as she could.
