When it was bedtime that evening, I silently walk into the backyard, so I could peek into Peter and Carmen's bedroom. It was quite dark as I got into my old peaking spot just outside the window. Hiding behind the window, I watched Peter laying on their bed while he was talking to Carmen. I could hear everything, so I just waited for Carmen to make her move.
"Peter, I have some news we have to discuss." Carmen said.
"Yeah, please tell," Peter smiled at his wife.
"I'm pregnant," Carmen replied.
"You're what...." Peter spluttered as he sat up in the bed with a shocked expression on his face.

"Fine." Peter said and thought for a minute before he continued with a grim look on his face, "Do we have to have it? Couldn't the doctor take care of it?"
"Am I going to have the doctor take care of it? Are you crazy," Carmen asked him with a shocked, angry look on her face. "How could you even think that...that I could do anything to harm it? It's ours. We made it."
"But we're to old and I don't want to raise another c***d," Peter grumbled.
"What are you saying, Peter. Don't you want our c***d, Peter? Are you suggesting I have an abort?" Carmen replied looking real mad.
"God, yes, Carmen," Peter groaned oblivious to his wife's feelings. "I want you to terminate this pregnancy. I've been a good father for our c***dren, but I don't have the energy for a new baby. I'm sorry..."
"I can't believe you're suggestion this revolting idea. You know about my stand on abortion. It's against everything I believe in."
"But I don't want to be entangled with a new baby," Peter said with an annoyed voice.
"Alright, I'll promised you, you'll never have to experience that." Carmen said with a look of anger on her face.
"So you're going to have an abort," Peter said oblivious to his wife's mood.
"No, for the time being I'm going to have a separation or a divorce. Please sleep in the guestroom tonight. I have to be alone right now."
"But, Carmen..." Peter stuttered.
Carmen interrupted, "Out of here Peter, now..."
Peter rose from the bed and with a hurt expression he walked out of the bedroom. Carmen walked over and closed the door behind him. I felt a little sorry for Peter, but now I knew Carmen was mine. Carmen had clearly forgotten me at the window and crying she lay down on the bed. I didn't want to disturb her right now, so I walked back to my room and was kind of awestruck from what I had witnessed. I couldn't resist grinning.
