After that incident which happened in my hostel in which my college friends/guys made me wear the bra and had their turns molesting my saggy chest, I somehow escaped from the humiliation and from them.
I rushed to home that day. My parents received me. I tried hard not to show my grief to them and mingled with them normally. And then my mom said that they have some good news and said that my father was selected by the people of the village as their leader. I forgot everything that happened to me in college hostel and I became happy.
Then they said that tomorrow morning there is a public function to announce him as leader in the presence of “Guruji” ( as I said in my previous part in my village there is a guruji who is considered equal to god by all my village people including my parents.
The influence of the guruji on entire village and my parents was such that they would do anything the guruji asks without even questioning whats it for. Such a blind people and such an old traditional village was mine). But I always doubted guruji. I somehow had believed that he is a fraud and he is a normal human with no abilities other than to manipulate people and to trick them for his own benefits. Why else would he charge money from village people in name of poojas and some rubbish,..
But my parents are so superstitious that I couldn’t make them understand that guruji is a fraud. I argued again with my parents saying that he is a fraud but they denied that and they also said something humiliating to me that am a disgrace and so. I went to room and started thinking, I thought about my humiliation in college , humiliation in home, then I thought to myself that am a male and I should be bold. So I decided that tomorrow in the function I will convince everyone in the village that guruji is fraud and I will provide the proof of that.
And then next day in the function my father was announced as the leader, everything went as planned. I was asked by father to give a thanking speech about guruji. I thought this is my chance. I went on stage and instead of the thanking speech I told everyone that guruji is a fraud, he is tricking people and so and so and I can provide the proof. Everyone in the village was stunned, some started shouting, and there was total chaos. As I was their leaders son no one dared to touch me. But everyone shouted that I should be taught a lesson. My father slapped me right in front of everyone and asked me to seek forgiveness from guruji. I refused.
Meanwhile guruji came forward and spoke to everyone that “He has forgiven me, the reason for my accusation is that some ghost has taken over my body, and he will ask god for forgiveness, even though he have accused me , I wish him great fortune, I wish he will live happily ever after” and he kissed my hand.
I was stunned by his performance. (some thoughts went through my mind… ‘is he really a fraud or does he have real powers? How can a fraud can be so humble like this? Or did he trick me too? ‘ ) … And because of the gurujis words everyone forgave me but even then most of them was angry at me. Somehow the function was over and I returned home and I thought how dumb I am to accuse a great man in the village (guruji), whether or not he is a fraud, that too in front of the entire village who loves guruji as god.
Next day I went to college, there was mixed reactions. Some came to me and said that I have such a courage to accuse of guruji, some said bad things about me and the guys who molested me in hostel continued doing so,like slapping my ass , pressing my chest over my shirt , making some bitchy comments , calling me as navina and so. In home I lost all the respect because of my public accusation of guruji, so you can imagine my life was shitty in college and in home. Anyway I just got used to it and days passed on. Months passed on.
Meanwhile, there was a major problem in my village, ever since my father took his position as leader of the village there was no rain, farming lands had no water, the entire village suffered because of the lack of rain and in addition neighborhood village people blocked the water flow to our village. My father tried to talk to them but they refused to open the water channels for some reasons. Entire village gathered.
Suddenly someone in the crowd said that the scarcity of the rain is due to the leaders son, I.E me. It’s because I angered the gods by accusing the mighty guruji, and he should be punished for what he has done and we all need to consult guruji for this. I thought ‘what a dumb people to accuse me for the scarcity of rain,’ I wanted to run from there but my father including others in the village dragged me to guruji’s place.
My father and the other village people told guruji everything, on hearing this guruji waited for some time thinking something and then said “Yes the gods are angry at him, that’s why this village is starving, thats why there is no rain, but there is a solution. This boy(me) needs to please the gods and if the gods are pleased with his service then rain will come again and the crops will grow again” and he then he closed his eyes for some time and blabbered something to himself like “Ok god ok god everything as you wish”
After 10 mins he opened his eyes and told to everyone that “I spoke to god, he wants this boy(nivin) to perform some special poojas in some special attires” . And everyone asked guruji to explain in detail about the special pooja. Guruji explained “There is a problem with this pooja, god doesn’t want nivin in boys costume to perform this pooja, but he wants nivin to dress as a girl and perform the pooja, he should take bath in manjal like all the females
Then he should wear blouse, skirt and saree , wear all the female jewels— bangles in his hands, kolusu in legs, necklace in his neck, ear rings in his ears ,wig in his head and flowers in his hair, and sindoor in his forehead like a devadaasi( gods slave) or like a housewife , and should sing and praise the god in high pitched female voice and he should service the gods in temple for entire day, he should say all the mantras in the temple and then and then “……..
He paused….And continued ” … And then in the night he must be stripped nude, but he should wear all the jewels, including earstud, nosering, necklace, aranjanam/ araijan kayiru (gold ornament around hip),kolusu (ornament in leg), bangles with wig and flowers in his head, and his face should be completely turned into female with pottu and entire makeup and then she should walk around the entire village like that(full nude except for female make up and female jewels)— then maybe the gods will be pleased and may bless the village with rain and good fortune…”
Entire village people was shocked to hear about this pooja and punishment, so was my father, but they desperately needed rain and wanted to please the gods, they wanted their gods not to be angry at them and the village for my sins.
So my father as their leader agreed the punishment given by gods to me, to turn his own son to a female for a day, to turn his son into a devadaasi for a day, to humiliate his son for a day by making him devote his day servicing the gods in temple dressed as a female slave and in the night to make his son walk the entire village with no dress except for female makeup, flowers, and female jewels…
I thought to myself “Will my father make me do this? Will my father make me dress as a female, will he make me walk nude in front of the entire village with full female jewels and makeup?”… Oh god please help me…” is this your wish?”
