Charlie couldn't believe how much it cost to join a health club these
days. Throughout high school, Charlie had played sports to keep in
shape. But ever since going off to college, he hadn't found the time to
exercise. Between his classes, homework, and his job as a cook at the
Pom-Pom Sports bar, Charlie felt like he barely had time to sleep.
Charlie looked over at his image in the mirror. Although he wasn't fat,
he could stand to lose 10 or 15 pounds. His 5' 9" frame was starting to
show the signs of no exercise and his dark black hair needed to be cut.
So far, the best deal he could find was $200 to join and $50 a month.
And all he wanted to do at the club was to swim laps in the pool.
Needless to say, this cost was way out of his league. His job didn't
allow much room after his bills. But he didn't let this distract him
from his goal. As he neared the end of the Health Facilities section of
the yellow pages, he came to the Y.M.C.A. He picked up the phone and
called.
"Hello," came the voice on the other end of the line. "Can I help you?"
"Yes, I'm looking to join a health club to use the pool for lap
swimming. What are your rates for swimming only."
"We don't offer swimming only. The only place that does that is the
Y.W.C.A. Our rates for joining are $250 fees and then $65 a month."
"Ouch. That's more than I want to spend. Thanks anyway." Charlie hung up
the phone. "Well, looks like I need to call the next listing."
Charlie looked in the Yellow Pages at the last entry. Picking up the
phone, he dialed.
"Y.W.C.A." a young sounding voice came over the phone, "This is Carol.
Can I help you?"
"Hi. I was wondering if you allow people to come and use just your
swimming facilities?"
"Yes we do. You need to join the Y first and then you can buy individual
swims or a yearly swim pass."
"What are the cost?"
"The membership fee is $25 and the swims cost $1.50 per swim in blocks
of 20 or a 1 year swim pass at $170."
"Are there any restrictions?"
"The only restriction is that we have certain times set aside for the
lady members to swim. No men are allowed in the pool at that time. No
exceptions."
This works for me, Charlie thought. "Thanks. What hours are you open?"
"From 6:30 in the morning to 9:00 a night. You can come by any time
during that period and join."
"Thanks Carol," said Charlie and he hung up the phone. Charlie went to
his dresser and opened his checkbook after taking it from the top of the
dresser. "I've got $250 in my checking account and payday is a week
away. If I skimp, I should be able to make it on $50 plus any tips I
get. I'm going to go down there right now and join."
Charlie opened his bottom draw and pulled out his red speedo swimsuit
and a duffel bag then headed out of his room, grabbing a towel out of
the linen closet as he passed it. Stuffing these and his work uniform
into the duffel bag, Charlie left his apartment and drove to the
Y.W.C.A.
Arriving at the Y, Charlie got out of his car and went in through the
pool/fitness entrance. Sitting behind a U-shaped desk area was a lovely
young girl. On her nametag was "Carol". Charlie smiled at her as he
approached thedesk.
"Hi," he said.
"Hi," she said back to him, smiling. "Can I help you?"
"I'd like to join and buy a one year swim pass."
"OK," she responded. "Let me get the forms."
While Carol opened a drawer and began to pull out the needed forms,
Charlie looked around the foyer. To his left was a large glass paned
wall. Behind the wall was the pool. At this time, there was no one in
the pool. On the wall behind the desk were two doors each to the sides
of the desk area. The door to the right of the desk had the word "Men"
on it while the door to the left had the word "Women" on it. The left
wall had an opened door that lead to a gym area with weight machines and
a space for aerobics.
"You'll need to fill out this form," Carol said while handing two pieces
of paper to Charlie. "And this one has the schedule for when the pool is
available to men."
Charlie sat down at the chair next to the desk and filled out the
paperwork and handed it and a check for $195 to Carol. Carol transferred
some of the information from the form to a membership card and to a swim
pass.
"Here you go," she said as she handed the two pieces of paper to
Charlie. "Don't loose either one or you will need to pay to replace
them."
"Is it OK for me to take a swim now?"
Carol looked at the clock behind the desk. "Sure. It's 1:30 now. You
will need to get out of the pool by 2:00 since that's when the women's
swim starts."
"Great. Thanks."
"By the way, we require that you use a swim cap when swimming. Do you
have one?"
"No, I don't"
Carol reached in a different drawer and pulled on out. "Here. Use this
one. Just remember to return it and buy one before you come next time."
"OK. Thanks again."
Charlie got up and headed to the right side door and went through it.
Behind the door was a typical locker room with two rows of lockers and
benches in front of the lockers. Around the corner were the open showers
and the hallway leading to the pool entrance.
Charlie walked over to one of the benches and placed the swim cap on it
and then sat down. He pulled out his red speedo and his lock from the
duffel bag and set them on the bench. Reaching before him, he opened the
locker and placed his bag on the floor of the locker. Standing up,
Charlie pulled off his clothes and hung them in the locker and then
pulled the tight Lycra of the speedo up. "Tight fit," he thought. "Good
thing I started this exercise before I couldn't fit into the suit."
Charlie closed and locked the locker and headed over to the showers. The
sign on the wall said to shower before going into the pool, so Charlie
turned one of them on and stepped under it. Once he was completely
soaked, he turned off the spray and headed out of the locker room and
down the hall to the pool. At the end of a hall was a door that Charlie
opened to reveal the pool. No one else was swimming and the lifeguard
waved to Charlie as he sat on the edge of the shallow part of the pool.
Charlie dropped into the pool and then pushed off the wall and began his
swim.
1:45.
1:50.
1:55.
2:00. and Charlie continued his swim unaware of how much time had
passed.
2:01. The swim cap on Charlie's head began to bulge in the lower back. A
blonde strand of hair came loose from under the cap and trailed behind
him reaching the middle of his back.
2:02. Charlie's speedo began to slowly move up his torso while the leg
openings became higher cut and the edges of the rear of the suit pulled
closer together, stopping when they were half way up his ass and four
inches apart.
2:03. The speedo reached the center of Charlie's back, forming an
opening for his arms and baring his shoulder blades in the current
ladies racing swimsuit style. The front encased his chest before
splitting and forming the shoulder straps that joined up with the back
of the suit.
2:04. Charlie blew the air out of his lungs as the waist of the suit
constricted to 24 inches. Turning his head, Charlie opened his mouth and
took in his next breath, not missing a stride. He kicked as his hips
widened, his ass became curvy and his legs shortened. The hair on his
legs withdrew into the follicles, leaving no trace that there had ever
been any.
2:05. Charlie blew the air out of his lungs and then turned his head for
his next breath. As he breathed in, his chest expanded and his ribs

sink and began applying her makeup. When done, she grabbed her duffel

"Have a good swim Charlene?" asked Carol.
"Yes," she responded. "It was quite invigorating. I'm so glad men aren't
allowed to swim after 2:00."
"Well, we aim to please. See ya' later."
"Bye," she said as she headed out of the Y and into her new life.
