THE NEXT MORNING...
April woke up to the sounds of someone moving about in the house's
kitchen. She got up, sensing with her new abilities that it was Kendall
in the kitchen. She also sensed that her own brother's psychic screen
was still up, leading her to believe that he was still asleep.
She stretched and went out to the kitchen, getting a cheery, "Good
Morning!" from Kendall.
April replied, "Morning, is that coffee I smell?" With her new senses
April already knew the answer, but the question seemed to just fit in.
"Yeah, do you want a cup?"
"Please."
As Kendall poured, she said, "Look, I want to apologize for what I did
the other night. Even knowing the reasons for what I did, I still feel
guilty."
Kendall set cup of coffee in front of April, and April picked it up,
saying, "It's okay. The whole thing was kind of weird at first, but I
can definitely get used to this."
"Good, because I really do wanna be your friend. The last thing I want
to do is lose your friendship."
"I think we can definitely manage that."
April lifted the cup of coffee to her lips and took a sip. Just then she
felt her brother's screen come down. Without even meaning to, she found
herself looking into his room, and what she saw caused her to spew the
coffee out of her mouth in an almost classic spit take.
As she gagged and tried to catch her breath, Kendall commented, "I know
it's not the greatest coffee in the world, but it's not that bad." April
pointed back towards Larry's room, and when Kendall took a look with her
own abilities, all she could say was, "Oh."
Larry stepped out of his room looking nothing like he had the night
before when he went to sleep. In fact, if it weren't for their own
Baraandi abilities, Kendall and April probably would've guessed it was a
totally different person. To all appearances, the person coming towards
them was a woman. Larry had chosen not only to keep the feminizing
effects of the Baraandi energy infusion, but also to amplify them. He
now had breasts, breasts as large as Kendall's, his hips and butt were
now round and firm, he had styled his now longer hair in a very feminine
wave, and he had shaped the fat and muscle in his face into a very
female visage.
As April continued to sputter and choke, Larry stepped right up and
asked, "Can I have some of that coffee?" as though nothing were out of
the ordinary.
Kendall just shrugged and poured another cup. April finally managed to
get her breath and all but yelled, "What are you thinking?"
Larry looked up at his sister as though he didn't understand what she
was getting so emotional about. "I was thinking that I needed a cup of
coffee. Don't tell me you think I'm too young. Mom lets me drink it, and
you know she does, just so long as I go easy on it."
April said, "That isn't what I mean, and you know it!" punctuating her
declaration with a couple of pokes to Larry's breast.
Larry defensively knocked her hand away, saying, "Hey, don't damage the
merchandise!"
"Fine! Do you want to explain," April waved her hands up and down,
"this?"
Larry got a somewhat forlorn look on his face. "I decided I want to be a
girl, at least for awhile."
"You think it's that easy? 'Today, I'm going to be a girl, but I think
tomorrow I will be a boy'?"
"I'm not stupid, sis. Believe me, I have thought about this. I know that
now that I've started this, I am locked into it. I couldn't go back now,
even if I wanted to, and I definitely DON'T want to."
"Why? What possible reason could you have?" Without waiting for an
answer April turned to Kendall and asked, "Don't you have anything to
say? Surely someone who was born a boy who wants to live as a girl can't
have as easy a life as he seems to think."
Kendall took a sip of coffee and said, "I think that your brother has
thought more about this than you give him credit for."
"How could you know that?"
"Because when the Baraandi communicate, they don't just do it with their
ears and mouth. They also listened with their psychic abilities, with
their telepathy and empathy. It makes lying to them almost impossible.
It also gives them the ability to feel the emotion behind the words. I
think you need to use those tools and listen to what your brother has to
say. There's a lot more there than just, 'I want to be a girl.' Well,
I'll give you two some privacy and go pick out a couple sets of
clothes."
"A couple?"
"Well, I may be a little taller than your brother, but at this point,
he's definitely going to fit better into my clothes than yours. At the
very least, he's going to need a bra. He already agreed to wear my
panties today."
Larry said, "I'm only agreeing to wear your panties because I'm gonna
fit into them better than my own underwear now. You cheated to win that
bet."
Kendall set her coffee cup down, smiled, and said, "Hey, you never told
me I couldn't use my psychic abilities to nudge you into sleep."
"How was I supposed to know you even had psychic abilities?"
"You weren't." Kendall blew a kiss to Larry as she walked back towards
her own room.
After Larry and April heard the door close, April asked, "Okay, you want
to explain why you felt the need to do this to yourself?"
"Because I wanna be a girl."
With her new psychic abilities April could feel the pain in him as he
spoke. "Was it really so bad being a boy?"
"Not being a boy. Being a smart boy. The only people who I ever got
along with, who ever treated me nice, were all girls. All the boys at
school treated me like some kind of freak just because my first response
to a situation wasn't physical, because I like to think."
"You shouldn't judge men by high-school boys. High-school boys are-"
"High-school boys are just more aggressive about it than younger boys. I
got promoted into high school at the age of 12, but even before that, I
wasn't really thought well of by the kids my age."
"What about Bill? Wasn't he your friend?"
"Sure, but he was just one guy amongst a few hundred that went to school
with me, and after I got into high-school, things just kept coming up to
keep us apart, sometimes with me, sometimes with him. Towards the end of
high-school, I think I only saw him about once a month."
"Maybe college boys will be different."
"Maybe, but I doubt it. It's different between boys and girls. When I
was around your friends, the most I usually got was a little bit of
jealousy. Occasionally there was a little bit of resentment, but that
wasn't usual. With boys, everybody always treated me like I was
betraying my manhood by being smart. I didn't just hang out with you
because the other boys didn't want be my friends. I hung out with you
and your friends because you guys were the only ones who treated me
nice."
April felt the pain in him. "Are you sure? What about all your records?
They all show you as a guy."
"Not anymore. One of my Baraandian's strongest abilities was her cyber-
empathy. She used it mostly to scan the ship and make sure that
everything was working as it should have, but last night, one of the
things that I did was raid through the city's computers and change all
my records so that they showed me as a girl. Then I set up a computer
program of my own to go through the rest of the net and change all the
rest of my records. I figure that by noon today, the only remaining
place where I'll be a boy will be in the memories of the people back
home."
"Speaking of back home, have you thought about what you will plan on
telling mom and dad?"
"Uhm, 'April has something to tell you.'?"
"I don't think so."
Larry smiled. "I'll have to think about it, but I will think of
something to tell them. This... is really the best thing for me."
"You think. This could be a lot harder than you're guessing."
"Maybe, but I am usually pretty good about guessing about things."
"Yeah, you are at that." April sighed. "Well, I'm not sure if I agree
with your reasons for doing this, but you are my little brother, and
I'll stand by you."
"Thanks, but you should really start calling me your little sister, if
only to get used to the idea."
"You're right, little sister." April gave her newly dubbed little sister
a hug. "Okay, now there are only a couple more questions. First off,
what do you want call yourself now? Larry really doesn't fit anymore."
"I've been thinking about that. I've decided that I wanna be known as
Lana."
Knowing about her brother-sister's fascination with Superman comics,
April said, "As in Lana Lang? If you tell me that you want your middle
name to be Lois, so help me, I'm going to slap you."
"Well, I did name myself after Superman's high-school girlfriend, but I
hadn't really thought about a middle name. What would you suggest?"
"How about Marie, after Grandma?"
"Lana Marie, sounds good. What's your other question?"
"Lana, are you interested in..." April couldn't really bring herself to
ask the question, so instead she wound up broadcasting an image of her
little sister in the arms of a big, muscular man.
"Gay? Hell, no!"
"Watch your language, little girl."
"Sorry. But no, I'm not into guys."
"Well, if you're a girl and you're interested in girls, doesn't that
make you gay?"
Lana smiled. "You caught me. I guess I am gay now. You don't have a
problem with that, do you?"
"Naw, I don't have a problem with lesbians. Judith, my best friend back
home, is a lesbian."
"Mostly."
April raised an eyebrow in suspicion. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Well, I'm not supposed to tell, but she is willing to do it with guys.
They just have to do something for her first."
"What's that?"
"They have to wear her clothes. Actually, she'd be satisfied with just
the lingerie, but the more clothes she can get the guy into, the more
interested she becomes."
"Are you sure about that?"
"Yeah."
"How exactly do you know about this?"
"Let's just say that thanks to her, I'm no longer a virgin." Lana
broadcasted an image of herself, as Larry, in Judith's favorite dress,
on his back, getting a blowjob from Judith.
April was shocked. "You?! and Judith?! I'll kill her!"
"Gee, I hope not. I was figuring that if she likes both girls and boys
in dresses, then she's going to love me." April just sputtered. "Relax,
sis. I'm just kidding. Let's go get me dressed."
As Lana started back towards the bedrooms, April said, "Wait a second.
Did you mean you were kidding about you and Judith doing it, or about
wanting to show her what you look like now?"
Lana just raised her eyebrows up and down a few times, and said, "You
figure it out."
As Lana walked away, April said, "C'mon, really! Did you two do it or
not?" Lana turned, blew a kiss back to her sister, and sprinted toward
Kendall's room. April called after her, "Fine! I won't kill her; I'll
kill you!" and then followed.
Lana got to the door and knocked just as April came up. She waited for
Kendall to call her in, then ducked inside before her sister could say
anything. As soon as she could, Lana asked, "Have you got something for
me to wear yet?"
"Sure do. It's just a simple blue dress, but it should look good enough
on you."
"What about bra and panties? Something sexy, I hope."
"Why? Are you planning on showing it off?"
"Of course."
April screeched, "Larry!"
Kendall said, "He's kidding. I told you, use your telepathy and empathy.
Listen with more than just your ears."
Lana said, "Don't forget to use my new name, too. It's Lana,"
purposefully emphasizing both syllables in her name, as though she were
talking to somebody who was slow witted.
April said, "Watch it, brat. You are neither too old nor too girlish for
me to turn you over my knee."
"Sounds like fun, but wouldn't that be incest?"
"Not the way I'm going to spank you." Lana pulled up short as she felt a
wave of serious intent coming from her sister, but then she felt a wave
of amusement just before April said, "I think I'm getting the hang of
this."
"Oh, I get it. You were broadcasting a fake emotion."
Kendall said, "Very good. With a little more practice you'll be able to
sense that right off the bat. However, you should be careful about
broadcasting fake emotions. Those who aren't psychically trained may
pick up on them, and depending upon how perceptive they are and how
powerful you make the broadcast, they could very well take it as real,
or even confuse it with their own emotions."
Lana asked, "Is that what you did the other night? Broadcast feelings
that put us to sleep?"
"That was part of it, feelings of contentment, so that you'd feel safe
nodding off. I also manipulated a few points in your body so that you
would quickly drop off."
April asked, "You used your psychic abilities to put us to sleep?"
Lana said, "Didn't you already figure that out? Didn't you find it odd
that you were going to sleep so quickly?"
"I didn't really think about it."
Kendall asked, "You wanna take your forgiveness back now?"
"No, you were just doing what you had to so that you could protect the
planet, even if you didn't know that's what you were doing. Now let's
get my new little sister dressed."
"Okay, here's the lingerie I decided on." Kendall picked up a bra and
panties set that she had laid out. "It's not a real fancy design, but
the pretty pastel pink should make you feel sexy enough."
Lana said, "They certainly look real pretty. Let's see what they look
like on me." Kendall handed Lana the underwear. Lana took the bra first
and put it on. After she did, she said, "Oh, this feels so..." and
moaned, barely realizing that she was rubbing her own breasts through
the bra.
April asked, "What's going on? Why is Lana experiencing so much pleasure
right now?"
Kendall said, "I was afraid of this. Well, not so much afraid as not
sure whether or not to expect it. It's a side effect of the accelerated
growth. She hasn't quite adjusted to the fact that she's got a whole
bunch of new nerve endings. For a while she's going to have a massively
increased sensitivity in her bust."
"So what do we do about it?"
"Nothing really to do." Kendall turned Lana and shoved her towards the
door, saying to her, "Go into the bathroom and handle that stuff." Lana
walked out of the room in a daze, still rubbing herself.
After Lana was gone, April asked, "How long will she have that increased
sensitivity?"
"The sensitivity should drop pretty quickly for the next couple of
days."
"After that, will she have a more normal sensitivity?"
"Well, if she's anything like me, then it will never drop quite to the
level of an average genetic girl."
"Why not?"
"A couple of reasons. First, the nerves that run through her breasts
weren't there last night, so her brain always treats them as though they
were a little more sensitive than if it had a chance to adjust to them
growing in slowly. Second, since the breasts were grown in by the being
who is Lana, the soul if you will, there's always a somewhat greater
attention given to them. It's not so much because of greater
sensitivity, but rather a greater awareness of the sensitivity that the
breasts have, although that really comes out to be almost the same thing
in terms of effect."
"So she'll always be getting a little more excited than I would?"
"If she's like me, she will."
"Lucky her." Just then April noticed that Lana was in the bathroom
rubbing her breasts and cock, and with no screens up, April was aware of
every little thing that was going on in there. She called out, "Lana,
put up a screen!" echoing the sentiment with a little telepathy to make
sure that her sister heard her.
Lana did put up a screen, but it was hurriedly done. April supposed that
either to Kendall or Lana, the screen was perfectly fine, but her own
spatial awareness was so powerful that to her, the hastily erected
screen was worse than nothing at all. To her, it was as though she were
looking at someone's silhouette through a very thin curtain, making what
Lana was doing all the more noticeable.
April thought she'd be more embarrassed by knowing what her sibling was
doing, but it didn't seem to be that big a deal, so she asked Kendall,
"Why don't I find my sister masturbating in the bathroom to be that big
a deal? I mean, I can sense everything she's doing in there, and it's
only a little uncomfortable. Before, I once only almost walked in on
her, well, him then, when he was doing that. Luckily I heard him through
the door, but even just hearing him made me feel incredibly
embarrassed."
"It's the Baraandi influence. All of the Baraandi have that spatial
awareness to one degree or another, although very few had anywhere near
your level either in terms of the power or skill. Even so, any Baraandi
who had spent any time training their awareness, which includes all the
military, could sense distances up to about half this house length.
Combine that with their telepathy and empathy and the fact they can
sense surface thoughts and feelings pretty easily, and modesty winds up
taking a backseat. Sure, you can set up shields around yourself to keep
you from picking up on thoughts and images of sex, but the energy
expenditure really isn't worth it. Even in Baraandi culture, thoughts of
reproduction were pretty prevalent, and human culture is a lot more sex
intensive. Putting up screens just to keep out those thoughts would be
like walking down the street and using a piece of paper or something
like that to keep yourself from seeing anybody with a blue shirt."
"Is that why you parade around here in almost nothing in all?"
"Pretty much. When you're instantly aware of everything around you
regardless of any barriers between you and whatever, using clothes to
cover yourself up just seems silly. Clothes in Baraandi culture
basically served only three purposes: protection from the elements,
decoration, and as a place to put stuff. That's why I don't wear clothes
at home unless I want to fulfill one of those three functions."
"Yeah, but in human culture, modesty is a factor. Aren't you worried
about accidentally walking in and having somebody else see you in the
nude, someone who isn't Baraandi bonded?"
"I suppose I should. After all, it has already happened."
"Sounds like there's a story behind that. What happened?"
"Well, there were some neighbors that my mom and stepmom played bridge
with on a regular basis. One night when they were playing I came home
all sweaty from soccer practice, immediately took a shower, then, with
nothing but a towel wrapped around my waist, proceeded to walk right
through the kitchen where they were playing in order to get a snack. I
barely made it a couple of steps into the kitchen before mom jumps up,
grabs me, and drags me back to my room. That night I got a full hour
long lecture on why I need to be more careful about how I present myself
to the world."
"Oh, man, I can just imagine. Was it another lesbian couple?"
"No. I suppose it should've ticked me off as to how I was dressed when
the guy's eyes practically bugged out of his head."
April laughed at the image. "Oh, man, I can just see you parading around
in front of some guy, not even noticing how you're dressed." Just then
April sensed Lana explode in orgasm. "Thinking of people getting
excited, maybe we should leave her home."
"I wish we could, but a tour of the campus isn't the only thing we're
gonna be doing there. We also need to get the parts for a scanner, so
that we can see how long it will be before the Larkoss start attacking
earth. Human technology alone hasn't developed to the point where anyone
else is going to know how to build something like that, and unless I'm
remembering wrong, neither the captain nor the helmsman had the
technical ability to build it, so that means we have to bring her
along."
"So how are we going to prevent her from needing to do... what she just
did?"
"I don't think we can prevent it. We just need to do what we can to
reduce the risk of it happening quickly. I think our best bet would be
to stop by a local lingerie store and see if we can find something a
little more functional, maybe even padded to provide some insulation
against other fabric rubbing on her. She may fit into my stuff, but all
of my stuff is designed to tease and titillate, and that means myself as
well as others, so it will only make things worse. You saw her reaction
when she put on that simple, pink, satin bra. I figure we're just going
to have to keep an eye out for where the bathrooms are, and then we herd
her over when the sensations get to be too much."
April laughed. "Y'know, Mom always used to say that I needed to be aware
of where all of the restrooms were wherever I went. Somehow, I don't
think she meant that I should be looking out for some place where I
could take my little sister, who used to be my little brother, so she
could masturbate."
"Somehow I think you're right."
Lana walked back into the room having taken her pajama bottoms off,
wearing nothing but the bra, and she said, "Okay, what's next?"
Kendall said, "We were just deciding where to go so that we could pick
up some clothes that won't drive you over the edge just by putting them
on."
Lana blushed. "I'm sorry about that. I really underestimated how
sensitive these would be. Were yours all that sensitive when they grew
in?"
"Mine were. Your sister's weren't." Quickly Kendall explained about the
increased sensitivity due to the rapid breast growth.
"So for the next couple of days I'm not only going to be a sex kitten,
but a sex kitten in heat?"
April said, "Hey! Sister right here! I don't need be hearing my little
sister referring to herself as a sex kitten!"
"Why not? It's what I am now. It's what I was aiming for when I went to
work on my body last night."
Kendall said, "You may not be so happy about your good looks when the
boys start chasing after you."
"Maybe. They'll just have to get over the fact that I'm not interested
in guys."
"You realize that the fact that you're not interested in guys won't
prevent them from coming after you?"
"Maybe not, but I think I can handle them."
April asked, "How would you know how to handle a guy?"
"After spending a few years watching you and your friends rebuff the
approaches of guys you didn't like, I think I know a thing or two about
dealing with them, and if those tricks don't work, a little telepathic
push here and there will keep me safe from too much unwanted attention."
"You sure you're up to the challenge?"
"Of course I am."
"Well, if you have any problems, don't be afraid to ask me, even if you
have to do it telepathically."
"Will do."
"Wait a second," April said as an idea popped in her head, "Kendall, how
did you know that Lana was interested in girls and not guys? Were you
listening in on us when we talked?"
Kendall said, "Didn't have to. Lana doesn't generate any interest energy
in regards to sexual interest in boys."
"Interest energy?"
Lana said, "You're still not getting this whole part Baraandi thing, are
you? Every type of emotion or physiological reaction generates energy.
That energy can be picked up on by others. That's what empathy does,
picks up on that energy. Even without the Baraandi skills we picked up,
we could do that, although our senses were much less refined. Now, we
can detect subtle gradations of emotional feeling, where before we could
only detect course emotion."
"You mean like when you could feel it when someone who was really sad or
really angry walked into a room?"
"Exactly."
"So now what?"
Kendall said, "Now, you need to go to your room and get dressed. Unless
you want to go to school in just your night shirt and panties."
April looked down at what she was wearing. Then she looked up and said,
"It must be the Baraandi influence. I didn't even notice that I hadn't
changed out of my nightwear. Be right back."
April returned to her room and got out some clothes that would be
appropriate for a day of running around the campus, simple jeans and a
blouse. After changing she went back to Kendall's room where her two
housemates were already dressed. Kendall was dressed in a tight sweater
and even tighter jeans. Lana was dressed in matching sweater and short
skirt that fell just above the knee.
April asked, "Couldn't you find something a little less revealing for
her?"
Lana definitively said, "I don't want less revealing."
Kendall said, "In this case, less revealing might actually be a problem.
The tight top will keep attention focused on her bosom and away from her
crotch. There are some bio-manipulation techniques that'll keep her from
getting an erection despite the sexual energy running through her, but
if she gets too excited and loses focus, the last thing we need is for
somebody to take notice of the bulge that results."
"I suppose that makes sense."
"And we're going to be right there, so there shouldn't be much risk."
"I guess that's true, but you, little sister, have to promise not to try
to get away and go off on your own, not today."
Lana said, "No problem. I promise that I will not attempt to go off and
investigate on my own today."
Kendall said, "Now you need to find us a good lingerie store where we
can get a new bra for Lana."
April asked, "Me? Why me?"
"Because you're the only one who can scan far enough to reliably hit the
business districts. Lana and I might be able to push ourselves to reach
that far, but your skills are great enough that you should be able to
just home in on a good place that won't be too far out of our way. We
still want to be able to hit the college campus today."
"Geez, you know how long that will take? First, I'd have to find the
main bus stop, that I'd have to find the right bus routes, then-"
Lana said, "Sis, you're making it too hard. Just-"
Kendall said, "No, don't tell her. April, you have within you the
knowledge to do this easily and quickly. Just relax and let it come to
you."
April said, "Are you sure? I'm still not too sure about all this."
"That's part of the reason why you need to do it, to gain some
confidence in your new abilities. Don't worry too much about it. Before
the Larkoss attacked, Quillthana did this all the time, and now you're
Quillthana."
"Okay, I'll give it a shot."
April closed her eyes and extended her senses outward. The first thing
she did was look along the street outside the house and find a bus stop.
The night before Kendall had mentioned that the house she had chosen was
right on a major bus route, so it wasn't that hard.
The bus stop had a placard with the map and the schedule for the bus, so
the next thing she did was scan along the bus route to find a bus. Once
she had, she scanned the people inside. She intended to go through their
surface thoughts to see if any of them were headed to where she wanted
to go, but she noticed something. All the people on the boss had the
feeling of going from one place to another, but any forcibly restrained
way. It made sense. Everyone was going up on the bus from one place to
another, but only along the route the bus was taking.
She also noticed that there were traces of the same type of feeling and
energy both in front and in back of the bus. According to what
Quillthana knew, that also made sense. Months and months of people
traveling along the same bus route, generating that same energy, had
left an imprint of the same energy all along the route. She pushed her
senses outward, looking for that same energy.
This was where she could really shine. Detecting large scale energy
patterns was her specialty. It took less than a second for her to map
out that energy all throughout the city. She finished up the second
confirming that she had now mapped out every bus route that the city
had. She could even identify the different bus routes along her mental
map.
The next thing she did was look for established commercial zones, malls
and such. It took only a fraction of a second for her to find a major
mall, whereupon she felt the flow of money through the place. It was
similar to greed, but less overwhelming, less obsessive. By extending
her senses across the city, she was able to map out every store in the
city, from the smallest street vendors selling hot dogs, through the
biggest mega-mall available.
The next thing she needed to do was to isolate a lingerie store (or even
just a lingerie department within a bigger store). She concentrated on
the feelings she had when she went lingerie shopping, a feeling of
intimacy and desire to be pretty. It was partly experiment. Others might
not feel as she did when lingerie shopping, and without enough people,
there wouldn't be a strong enough trace of emotional energy in the
lingerie stores. Her gamble paid off, however, and she quickly homed in
on a lingerie store.
Once there she was able to identify and add in a few more emotions to
what she was looking for, feelings of risk of exposure and even a little
guilt. After expanding her senses back to city wide, she was able to
find every lingerie store in the city.
That was just a matter of putting it together. She took her map of the
city bus routes and then laid it over her map of lingerie stores. Then
it was a simple matter of finding a bus route path from the house to a
store.
When she finished, she looked up and said, "Okay, I've got it. The bus
that runs outside also runs to a major mall with a good lingerie store."
Kendall said, "Not bad. It only took about 10 seconds. With a little bit
of practice you'll be able to go into any city and do that in half the
time. Does the store have what we need?"
"They should."
"Should? Take a couple of seconds and check."
April felt like slapping herself. Checking the store to see that they
had what they were looking for was well within her capabilities, and she
knew it. She closed her eyes, then extended her senses to the store, and
checked it out. "Yeah, they've got a good selection of both large size,
padded bras and functional, plain, well built bras."
Lana asked, "How can you be sure? You don't even know what bra size I
wear."
"Sure I do. Checking was simplicity itself. You wear a size 38D."
"Wrong. I wear a size 36F, just like Kendall."
"No, you fit into Kendall's bras. That doesn't mean that they're exactly
the right size for you. Kendall started working on her body from early
puberty. You've had a few more years of those male hormones working on
you, and, as a result, your chest is a little bit bigger underneath your
breasts."
"Yeah, but this bra fits."
"No, it's only close. Close enough so that you won't notice until you've
worn it for awhile."
"Are you sure?"
Kendall said, "Your sister is right. Trust her and me on this. We've
both been wearing bras a lot longer than you have."
April said, "Okay, is everyone ready? It's still warm enough outside so
we won't need coats. What we've got on will do."
Lana said, "What about shoes? Can I borrow some heels?" Kendall and
April both laughed lightly. "What so funny?"
"Little sister, it's not even 9 A.M. yet. We're not likely to get home
until well after five, and we're going to spend most of that time on our
feet. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, plans on wearing and walking in heels
for eight or nine hours."
"Why not?"
Kendall said, "Because it gets really painful."
"If it gets so painful, why wear heels at all?"
"Because they look nice, and they make us look nice. And before you make
any comments about that, you need to realize that women do a lot of
stuff just because it makes us look good."
"Like makeup? Speaking of which..."
"When do you get to start wearing it? When either your sister or I can
sit down and teach you how to do it right. Do it wrong and you wind up
looking like a clown."
"Okay, but won't someone notice that I'm not wearing makeup?"
"So what if they do?"
"Won't they think it strange? Don't girls always wear some makeup?"
"Not 24/7."
April said, "Little sister, there are lots of times when girls go out
without makeup. At least that was the case with me and my friends. If
you're going to be a girl, you've got to learn not to be such a priss."
Lana said, "Okay, but I still want to learn to use makeup."
"First we've got to go check out the college, both to get familiar with
it for classes and to pick up the parts for that scanner you need to
build. Tomorrow will be more than soon enough to start teaching you
about makeup."
"Why can't we just do it later tonight?"
"After a full day on campus I doubt any of us are going to want to go
out shopping for makeup for you."
"Can't you just teach me with your stuff?"
"I can teach you the basics, but a lot of the stuff won't be any good to
teach until we can get you some proper stuff for your skin color. You
picked up more of dad's Nordic heritage in your genes. As a result, your
coloration is a lot lighter than mine."
"So that means your stuff won't work?"
"It won't look right on you, bringing us back to the making you look
like a clown thing. You do want to look nice, don't you?"
"Well, sure-"
"Then trust your big sister on this. Now let's go get you some new
bras."
With that issue settled for the time being the group went out and caught
the bus to the mall that April had found. Once there they selected a few
basic bras for Lana, and, after a few whispered words about how plain
and ugly the new lingerie was, Lana headed off to the dressing rooms.
When she was gone Kendall said, "You did a pretty good job of that,
hiding your feelings and surface thoughts from Lana when you were
talking about makeup. I think that, due to the excitement she was
experiencing, Lana didn't sense a thing."
"But you did?"
"I sensed that something was wrong, but not exactly what. Are you
worried about Lana jumping into this so strongly?"
"No, well, not that much. I'm most worried about the costs of all this.
Lana and I came here with enough money to cover expenses for a month,
normal expenses, that is. Unless Lana decides she only wants to wear her
old boy clothes and go for the tomboy look, which I'm sure she won't,
then we could be in trouble. I'm pretty sure... Check that, I know we
don't have enough to afford a new wardrobe for her."
"Don't worry about that. I'll buy her new wardrobe. After all I'm the
one who got you into this position in the first place. Until we can plan
a good shopping trip she can borrow my clothes. I'm a little taller than
her, but I like my clothes tight, so it fits on her."
"Thanks, but are you sure you can afford it?"
"Easily. I told you, I'm a great salesman. Of course that comes from
being telepathic and knowing exactly what my customer wants and needs,
even if they don't."
"So what did you sell? Nothing illegal, I hope."
"Of course not. I sold cars."
"They let a teenager sell cars? It doesn't seem to me that people would
trust a teenage girl selling them cars."
"Well, with the right makeup, I can easily look like I'm in my early
20's. Combine that with a telepathic nudge here and there and I got
along pretty well."
"Great. But don't think that we're going to leech off of you. Me and my
little sister are going to pull our own weight."
"If you feel you have to, but don't be afraid to ask for help. That's
what friends are for."
After Lana returned Kendall paid for the new underwear, while April took
her sister and found a bathroom, so that Lana could handle the built up
excitement that had accrued while she was trying the new clothes on.
When that was all said and done, they went and caught the bus back home
to drop off the new clothes, then they caught the bus to the college.
After touring the campus in order to familiarize themselves with it they
went to the bookstore to buy books for their courses, and equipment for
the scanner that Lana was going to build.
Upon exiting the bookstore they were nearly run over by a tall short
haired redhead. She excused herself and said, "My name is Lydia."
April said, "Hi, my name is April, and this is my little sister, Lana,
and our new friend and roommate, Kendall."
After a couple quick "pleased to meet you"'s from Kendall and Lana,
Lydia asked, "You new students here?"
"Yeah, we're doing the whole orientation tour thing that they're
offering."
"I kind of figured that. Me, I'm a sophomore. Truth be told, if I had
remembered that this was the day for the new student tours, then I
probably would've come yesterday. I've had half a dozen near collisions
like we just had."
Lana asked, "Just with the students here? It doesn't seem like there's
that many around. How do you get by with all the returning students
during the rest of the year?"
"Well, I suppose I am exaggerating a little. The problem right now is
that the students really aren't going into any of the buildings. They're
going from building to building and only going to a few locations. As a
result the pathways between all the buildings are what are really
packed. Once the school year gets started things will settle down a
bit."
"I suppose that makes sense."
"Before I go in there, how packed is the bookstore? Will I have to
struggle too much to get my books?"
Kendall said, "It's pretty packed, but as long as you keep your wits
about you, you should be okay."
"Thanks. Are you girls going to be moving into any of the dorms?"
"No, we've got a place of our own off campus."
"Lucky you. You planning on rushing any of the sororities anyway? A few
of them have their own housing for members, that's why I'm asking, but
with you already having your own place, I guess that's not a big draw."
"Personally I'm not much of a joiner. I hadn't planned on joining any of
the sororities. I don't know about April and Lana though."
"What about it? My sorority, Alpha Beta Gamma, has a few open slots, and
you seem nice enough. You'd certainly have my vote for entry."
April said, "I wasn't really planning on pledging a sorority. I promised
mom that I'd look after Lana. Since there's no guarantees of both of us
being accepted, any offer that didn't include both of us would just mean
that I'd have to turn them down."
Lana said, "Yeah, maybe they'd except me, but not you. Ever think of
that?"
"I suppose that's a possibility. Do you want to try to join?"
Telepathically April sent, {Before you say yes, remember, if you get
accepted, you may wind up getting physically close to your sorority
sisters.}
{That's kind of what I'm hoping for.}
{I wasn't speaking close as in intimate. I was thinking close as in
someone physically touching you, either intentionally or on accident,
discovering what's in your panties, yelling about you being a guy, and
you becoming the campus scandal by the end of the week.}
Lana's face dropped. {I hadn't thought about that.} Lana said, "I guess
not. Mom probably would be upset with you, and I don't wanna get you in
trouble."
Lydia said, "Well, you don't have to make a decision right away. My
sorority is having a party on Friday. Why don't all three of you come?
Then you can get a chance to see us before the pledging officially
starts. Maybe I can change your mind about pledging. I'm also pretty
sure that I can talk my sisters into accepting both of you."
April said, "We'll see."
Kendall said, "If we're not too busy, we'll try to swing by, if only to
get to know some of our classmates. How do we get to your dorm?"
Lydia said, "I've never been good at giving directions. Any of you got a
piece of paper? I could draw you a map."
"Sorry, no. You know your way around town?"
"Pretty well, yeah."
"If it's not too much trouble, if we give you our address, could you
stop by and pick us up and escort us to the party? That way there's no
danger of getting lost or anything."
"Yes! I mean, I would be glad to come by and pick you up."
"Great. Our address is 1587 Kennedy Drive. It's a nice blue house."
"Great! I'll see you on Friday, say at about six?"
"Is that when the party starts? Why don't you show up a little earlier
than that? We can socialize a little bit and get to know one another."
"Okay, then about 5 to 5:30 then. See you!"
After Lydia ran into the bookstore Lana asked, "What was that about?
There was no real way we could've gotten lost from even the worst
directions. Why ask her to go out of the way and come pick us up?"
Kendall said, "Well, if she really wants to start dating you, then I
figure all three of us should get to know her in a more social setting."
April said, "You should've asked me first. I'm not so sure about dating,
yet."
"Not so sure about dating, or not so sure about your sister dating?"
"My sister dating, of course. She's not ready for it, yet."
Lana said, "Hey! Wait a second! First off, stop talking about me like
I'm not here! Secondly, what makes you think this girl is interested in
me?"
Both Kendall and April looked at Lana like she had just said something
incredibly stupid. April said, "You really weren't paying attention,
were you?"
"Paying attention to what?"
"To her surface thoughts and emotions."
Kendall telepathically sent, {Switch to telepathy when discussing your
new Baraandi abilities. There's no chance of being overheard that way.}
Lana thought, {Okay, but what did you see in her surface thoughts that
make you think she's interested in me?}
April physically snorted, then thought, {And you chide me for not
knowing and using my new abilities?}
{Fine, I missed it. What did I miss?}
Kendall thought, {First, the girl intended to run into you. Only your
psychic awareness of the environment around you kept that from
happening. Second, she kept undressing you with her eyes. I'm surprised
you didn't notice that, even if you weren't paying attention to her
thoughts. Third, when she invited us to the party, her main thought was
of slow dancing with you. Fourth, if we hadn't accepted her invitation,
she was fully prepared to ask you out to the movies. No doubt about it.
That girl is hot for your bod.}
Lana thought, {That is so cool!}
April thought, {Maybe. Too bad you're going to have to turn her down.}
{Why?! She seems like a nice enough girl, and you were a few months
younger than I am when you started dating.}
{My first date was with a boy who's only four months older than I was.
Lydia is over four years older than you. And if that's not enough
reason, you have the extra added complication of what's in your panties,
and don't blame me for that, you were the one who decided on what you
look like.}
{Yeah, but those problems aren't going to go away. If I don't at least
try, I'll never date!} April felt herself mellow when she heard the real
despair in her sister's voice.
Kendall thought, {I think you both need to mellow out. As far as we
know, as soon she finds out how old Lana is, Lydia may very well decide
not to go any further.}
April questioned, {And what if she does?}
{Then you'll be able to check her out to see how far she's willing to
take it. If necessary, you can use your telepathy to give her the once
over.}
Lana said, {Ladies, we better move over. People are starting to point
and talk about the three of us just staring at each other.}
Kendall said aloud, "So how about we stop by the cafeteria and get
something to eat. I'm starved," then telepathically, {We can talk as we
walk.}
As they walked April said, {So what do we do if Lydia decides she wants
to start a relationship despite the age difference?}
{You do what any concerned guardian or parent would do. You check her
out. Then, if she seems okay, you step back and watch from a distance.}
Lana said, {Hey, I'm not some little kid! I can look after myself!}
April said, {Ha! You never dated before in your life, and now you're
talking about dating a college girl? When I went out on my first date,
mom and dad knew the parents of my date for years, and they still did a
job of checking him out. Consider yourself lucky that Kendall found us
and bonded us with the Baraandi. Otherwise, dating a college girl
wouldn't even be an option.}
{Yeah, well what if I decide to go date her anyway? You're not mom, you
know.}
{You know perfectly well that mom told me to look after you while we
were here. Mom also said for you to listen to and obey me.}
Kendall interrupted, {Enough! You both need to chill! April, Lana is
neither a child nor an idiot. She's old enough to be thinking for
herself.}
Lana said, {Yeah!}
{And you, Lana, need to realize that both your sister and I have more
experience with this dating thing, and your sister is just trying to
protect you. You should be making most of the decisions in your life
yourself, but don't let your desire for this, or your anger towards your
sister for her concern override that intellect that you're so proud of.}
April said, {Yeah!}
{Now when we get to the cafeteria, I wanna see both of you two give each
other a big sisterly hug.}
Both April and Lana said together, {Excuse me?!}
Lana said, {I'm not hugging her!}
April said, {Ditto.}
Kendall said, {That's because you two are still thinking of each other
like you were brother-sister. When I was first trying to pass as a girl,
I scanned a lot of women of all ages to pick up the habits. Yes, sisters
do get into arguments, but they're also more affectionate towards each
other. A lot of women are like that. Tell me, April, if you just made up
with one of your friends back home, what would the two of you have
done?}
{Probably would have given her a light hug.}
{Then that's what you need to do here. You had a fight, so hug each
other and make up.}
{But no one heard our fight!}
{Irrelevant. You two need to act like you're sisters all the time, so
there's no slipping at times when people will notice. Look, I'm not
asking for you to give each other big, sloppy kisses. It's just a little
hug. In fact, let me take over your bodies for a few seconds.}
Both April and Lana said, {What? Why?}
{Because you do need to hug each other, but a strained, forced hug might
be worse than nothing at all. Don't worry; I'll only make it for a
second or two.}
Lana said, {I don't know.}
{Lana, you in particular need this. Your sister was raised with the idea
of being more open and more emotional. You need to get into the habit of
doing what other girls would do, particularly when you don't feel
comfortable about it. Now relax, both of you.}
After a bit of grumbling, April and Lana did relax and let Kendall make
them hug each other. It was a one-armed, friendly hug that they could do
as they walked. The two sisters kept their arms around each other until
they walked into the cafeteria when April asked, {How long do we have to
keep this up?}
Kendall replied, {I let you go after less than a second. Everything you
did after that was all you.}
{You should've said something.}
As April started to remove her arm, Lana said, {You don't have to do
that. I really don't mind it.}
April heard a lot more than just the words and said, {You don't really
want me to remove it, do you?}
Lana was silent for a few seconds, then said, {Not really, no. This is
nice. Not that I'm implying anything. Before, even though I didn't hang
out much with boys my own age, I still wasn't supposed to hug my sister,
not unless mom made me. Being able to hold you and be held by you
without it meaning anything else... It's just nice.}
{Okay, I suppose we can keep this up until we find a seat, but we will
have to let go eventually.}
{Eventually. But not right now.}
{You really were lonely, weren't you?}
{More than you know.}
They found a table in the rather packed cafeteria, and the two sisters
finally separated. They set their sacks of books down and Kendall said,
"Probably be best if just one of us got the food."
April said, "I'll go. What does everyone want?"
"A burger for me."
Lana said, "Just a salad for me. A girl's got to watch her figure."
After April headed off, Kendall said, {So on to bigger stuff. Did you
get everything you need for that scanner?}
{Yeah.}
{Did it cost all that much?}
Lana snorted. {Hardly. This is a pretty basic scanner. It takes a little
bit of engineering know how, but it's not really complex. It has
convinced me of one thing, though. Going for a degree in physics would
be a waste of time.}
{Why is that?}
{First, because everything human physics knows could be encapsulated in
the first 30% of what a Baraandi scientist has to know, and my Baraandi
self was incredibly well trained. Second, human physics gets some things
really wrong.}
{Like what?}
{Oh, admittedly, most of the mistakes are in stuff that's theoretical
for humans, atomic and subatomic physics mostly, but some stuff humans
just get wrong.}
{Like what?}
{Like the speed of light being an absolute maximum for velocity for
anything moving in the physical universe or the universality of gravity
and granitic effects.}
{Well, that explains the strange looks I got from my science teacher in
high-school.}
{Why is that?}
{Well, figuring that he had nothing to teach me, I didn't really pay
attention in class. When I took my tests, I based my answers on my
Baraandi knowledge. If you're telling me that human knowledge thinks
it's right where it's really wrong, that would explain the strange
looks, not to mention the C I got in that class.}
April returned and asked, "So anything in particular going on?"
Kendall said, "Just sitting here doing some thinking."
The three of them sat down to their meal and chatted (out loud) about
their upcoming classes, as well as some other innocuous stuff to fill up
some time. As they talked a couple of hippie twin girls, girls who
looked like they walked right out of the sixties, walked up carrying a
couple trays of food. The first girl asked, "Could we, like, share your
space in a mutually copasetic arrangement?" sounding like she was
actively strung out on drugs.
The other girl slugged her sister in the arm. "Knock it off." Then to
Kendall, April and Lana she said, "Seriously, you mind if we squeeze in
here on your table? The cafeteria is really packed."
April said, "Sure. Have a seat. My name is April. This is my sister,
Lana, and our friend, Kendall."
The girl who seemed to have her senses about her pointed to the girl who
was acting like she was a druggie and said, "This is Alexandra, and my
name is Theresa."
As the two sat down, Lana asked, "So what's with the whole spaced out
act, assuming it's an act."
Alexandra giggled and said, "Yes, it's an act."
Theresa said, "Alexandra is fond of playing up the hippie stereotype.
She figures that just because we're wearing the clothes, that she needs
to pretend like she's a real sixties radical."
April asked, "Then why do you wear the clothes?"
Slipping into her spaced out role, Alexandra said, "Because, it's, like,
who we are, man."
Theresa lightly backhanded her sister and said, "Would you stop that?
I'd like for at least a couple people to get to know us before you start
making everyone think we're a couple of sixties throwbacks. In answer to
your question, it started in high-school. Our high-school went through a
retro phase where sixties clothes and such were what was in, so we got
into mom's old stuff (she was a real sixties radical) and started
wearing that."
Alexandra said, "We found we like wearing all this stuff. It really is
kind of who we are now."
The five girls sat and chatted for a while. They found out that
Alexandra and Theresa were in the campus dorms. There was a bit of
friendly jealousy when the two found out that the others had their own
house, and Alexandra made a few spaced out offers of "free love" if they
would let her and her sister move in, to which she was promptly slapped
by her sister.
After about half an hour Lana projected, {I've got to go use the
bathroom.}
April asked, {You need an escort for your first foray into a public
women's room?}
{No, I need someone to cover me. I need to, uhm, do what I did earlier
while I was getting dressed. The earlier run in with Lydia combined with
these two hot girls sitting right across from me has got me...}
{Rather excited?}
{Yes!}
Kendall said aloud, "Well, we've got to get going. We've still got a lot
of moving in to do. It was great to meet you."
They all said some quick goodbyes, and Lana, April, and Kendall headed
out of the cafeteria. Once clear of the eating area, Kendall asked,
"Where's the nearest bathroom?"
April, who had the most powerful senses, said, "That won't work. The
nearest bathroom has a line."
As Lana whimpered in need, Kendall asked, "Where is the nearest bathroom
where we might be able to get a modicum of privacy?"
April scanned the entire campus, then said, "All the way across campus.
Damn! This place is packed today!"
"More packed than I counted on. Getting all the way across campus in
this crowd might actually take longer than getting home."
"It probably would. I'm sensing a bus coming right along our route now.
If we move fast, we can catch it."
Lana whimpered, "I don't think I can make either."
Kendall said to April, "I think we can make it, but you and I will have
to help Lana."
April asked, "What do we have to do?"
"It's called a bio-link. We attach our biology to hers and divert away
some of that excess energy into ourself. It'll mean we'll have to wind
up doing what she is planning on doing, but at least we'll get her home
without her losing control or hurting herself."
"Okay, how do we do this?"
"Just take her hand. Then reach out mentally and draw off some of her
energy. The knowledge of how to do that is in your memories."
April took one of Lana's hands, and Kendall took the other. They both
diverted some of the Lana's sexual energy into them, giving Lana an
immediate reduction of sexual need. They immediately ran for the bus,
doing their best to juggle their packages as they went.
They managed to catch the bus in time, although just barely. Once seated
Lana closed her eyes, so as to avoid any other sensations that might
excite her. April and Kendall kept hold of her hands in order to
continue to assist her, absorbing what they could into their own bodies.
By the time they got home all three girls were incredibly high strung
with sexual energy. As soon as they were off the bus they ran straight
for their house. Lana was the first through the door and tossed the
packages she was carrying down as soon she could. Kendall and April both
ran into the house, intending to go into their separate rooms, but
instead they tripped over the packages that Lana had dropped and fell
together onto the floor.
Without even getting up April slid her hands up underneath Kendall's
sweater and started playing with Kendall's breasts. Kendall just moaned
and then tried to get her pants open and off. When it turned out that
they were too closely pressed together for her to get her fingers down
there, Kendall instead used her telekinesis to remove both her own and
April's pants and panties.
Once naked from the waist down they pressed together and Kendall's cock
slid into April's cunt. As Kendall began to move in and out of April
their lips found each other, kissing and licking whatever was available.
They rolled on their side, and Kendall's hands found April's breasts.
They moved together as one in a motion that was both savage and gentle.
Finally, with an intense scream of passion, they came together in mutual
orgasm.
As the passion they were feeling subsided, they stared at each other,
not even sure what they were feeling, much less what to say. The silence
was broken when they heard Lana call out, "Oh, God! I don't need to know
that my sister is doing THAT! Next time put up a screen!"
With the tension broken April and Kendall both gave a brief snort of
muffled laughter. Kendall said, "I'm sorry. I guess the energy we were
absorbing from Lana overwhelmed me."
April asked, "Was that all it was, just the energy? Don't you find me
attractive? Desirable?"
"Oh, God, yes! I've wanted you since I first laid eyes on you, and I
know that you wanted me at first as well, but ever since I bonded you
with Quillthana, you've purposefully held yourself back. I figured you
resented me for not discussing what I did with you first, not that I
could blame you."
"It wasn't resentment so much as confusion. Although I've never actually
engaged in lesbian sex, I have on many occasions felt strong desires
towards women. With you, it was particularly intense. But then you
bonded me, and everything got turned up a notch. Quillthana loved the
captain very much. The problem was, you're not the captain, and I'm not
the helmsman. They may be a part of us, but they're not all of us. Since
I couldn't differentiate between his feelings and mine..."
"You withheld everything until you could sort out your feelings. I do
understand, but now what? Thanks to that extra energy we absorbed, our
rational senses were overridden. We can't just pretend it didn't happen,
and I can't handle a maybe. Despite all the extra strength the captain
gave me, I need to know either yes, we will have a relationship, or no,
we won't. I'm sorry for making that demand, but-"
"No, I understand. But the only way we can make that decision quickly
would be to go through the ceremony of revelations."
Both knew the ceremony of revelations from their Baraandi memories. It
would allow participants to learn everything about one another in a way
that their bodies' emotions wouldn't interfere and cloud their judgment.
Captains of the Baraandi fleet were required to go through the ceremony
with their immediate subordinates, so that, in high stress, emergency
situations, they would know what each person was capable of, and how
they could be expected to perform.
"Are you sure you want to do that? The ceremony will allow us to learn
everything about one another, but it's not entirely without
consequences. Baraandi command crews became like family. The captain was
closer to his bridge crew than to anyone."
"I know. I figured that the ceremony will either turn us into lovers or
close sisters. I figure we'll win either way."
"Or perhaps the ceremony will show us that there's no way we can ever
work together, no matter how hard we try; the very knowledge of how
incompatible we are making that assured."
"Not gonna happen."
"How can you be so sure?"
"Because even before I was bonded, I was a pretty good judge of human
character, and I have seen nothing, before or since, that would lead me
to believe that we're not going to be the best of friends." April
disentangled herself and stood up. She extended her hand to Kendall and
said, "C'mon. We can do this in my room."
Kendall took her hand, stood up, and the two of them walked together to
April's room. Inside the first thing they did was set powerful screens
by weaving their power together to block out external distractions.
Their powers flowed together easily, like oil and vinegar in a salad
dressing. It was a good sign. Had they not been able to work together
even to create the screens necessary to shield their senses, the
ceremony itself would have been a waste of time.
Once the screens were finished they got completely undressed, climbed up
on the bed, sat cross-legged facing each other, and took each other's
hands. Their souls reached out to each other, meeting on a plane far
higher than their physiological reactions could ever touch, and they
began an intensive review of each other's lives starting from the day of
their Baraandi birth.
In her own room Lana felt the screens go up and knew what was going on.
After all she had been listening in. She was also ecstatic that the two
had chosen April's room to do the ceremony in. Lana knew that the
ceremony would totally overwhelm their senses, and a marching band could
probably parade through the room and they wouldn't notice, but she felt
more at ease thinking about what she wanted to do in a room that had no
one in it.
As soon as she was sure that April and Kendall were thoroughly enmeshed
in the ceremony, Lana carefully snuck out of her room and went into
Kendall's. She quickly found the suitcase that contained the Baraandi
crystals, put it on Kendall's bed, and opened it up. She scanned the
crystals, looking for one in particular. When she found it she
telekinetically lifted it out of the suitcase, and then snatched it from
the air like she was afraid it would disappear at any moment.
After carefully stuffing the crystal into her cleavage under her bra
(the only thing she was wearing), Lana closed the suitcase and returned
it where she had found it. She then quickly and quietly returned to her
room and got dressed, moving the crystal only to insure that it would
neither come loose nor be seen by someone else, no matter how closely
they looked at her. The crystal was dearer to Engineer Costhenofa than
life itself, and thus it was just as dear to Lana.
She went out to the kitchen, glad that Kendall had thought to have the
phone hooked up when they moved in. After calling for a pizza she
thought about who she might be able to get as a host. The only people
she had met and gotten to know even slightly personally were Lydia and
the twins, any of whom would be a suitable host, but Lana wanted the
choice to fall on Lydia.
She was hot.
NOON, THE NEXT DAY...
April and Kendall walked into the kitchen hand in hand, totally naked,
and giggling like schoolgirls. Lana was waiting for them, fully dressed,
with screens up around her body just outside of her clothing, eating a
slice of cold pizza from the night before. Seeing the half-open pizza
box, April commented, "God, I didn't realize how hungry I was!"
April and Kendall both reached into the box, grabbed a piece of pizza,
and began stuffing their faces. Lana said, "I'm not surprised. Neither
of you had anything to eat since yesterday afternoon."
Kendall said, "We were a little busy. We decided to go through the
ceremony of revelations."
April said, "Sorry for leaving you without dinner, but I see you managed
on your own." After taking another bite of pizza, she said, "I just wish
you hadn't ordered mushrooms."
Lana said, "Hey, I like them. You weren't there. Suffer."
"I guess I'll just have to do that." April then leaned over and gave
Lana a friendly kiss on top of her head.
Kendall slid her arm around April's waist and said, "There's something
we want to tell you."
Lana said, "Let me guess. You to have decided to start a relationship, a
romantic one, I mean."
"How'd you guess?"
Putting a tone of fake stupidity in her voice, Lana said, "Oh, gee, I
don't know. Could it be the hand holding and stupid giggling as you
walked in, or maybe it's the fact that even now you got your arm wrapped
around her like you never want to let her go? C'mon! It doesn't take a
genius."
"Okay, okay, it was a stupid question, but there is something else we
wanted to ask you."
"Okay, go ahead and ask."
"We just went through the ceremony of revelations, and now we'd like to
go through a three way ceremony with you. We'll be needing to work
together to have any hope of saving this planet from the Larkoss. We
need to know what each other are capable of."
"Makes sense. How about we do it this weekend?"
April asked, "Why not right now?"
"Two main reasons: one, I want to take time to sort through all of my
Baraandi memories before I go through a ceremony that reveals all of
those memories to someone else, and two, just the two of you going
through that ceremony took around 18 hours; a 3 way ceremony would
probably take between a day and two; that means a good chance of missing
the sorority party tomorrow; at the very least, we wouldn't be able to
shop for any new clothes for me. No offense, Kendall. I do love your
taste in clothes, but I'd like a set of my own."
Kendall said, "She's got a point. What say we make a day of it? The
three of us can go out and do our best to strip the malls bare."
April said, "Why don't you two go alone? Since we're not going to do the
ceremony, there is something else that I'd like to do."
Kendall had felt shields go up around April's thoughts, so she had no
idea what April was thinking, which only served to make her more
curious. "What are you planning?"
April just smiled. "It's a surprise. Don't worry, I know you'll like
it."
"Okay, I trust you, but you know this is go
