A Brief Examination Into One Family...
"The Events of "Day 65" (Take 1)
The troubles of the past were apparently over. At least they were
over for one family. Today was just another ordinary day at the home
of John and Sandra Washington and their two children Robbie and
Patty.
John stepped out of his SUV and made his way in after a hard day at
the office. He put his briefcase on the entry table, kicked off his
shoes and walked into the living room, wanting nothing more than to
sink into the soft recliner and watch the nightly news.
His kids were watching cartoons, but they knew better than to object
when their dad changed the channel over to the cable news network.
Robbie moved to the desk to go online while Patty went to her room
to play with her dolls.
As usual, Sandra was busy in the kitchen making dinner for her
family.
Yes, it was just another day in the lives of the Washington
family...

That story was certainly accurate.
Events occurred just as described.
It was short, and to the point!
But perhaps it was a bit TOO short, and thus not much of a story.
So much more can be told, far more than just the events of the day.
The key to any story can be found in the details.
....And I may have forgotten to mention one small detail.
It happened months ago, thus the reference to 65 days.
Let's replay those past few paragraphs -- but with many more details
added to the descriptions, and just a touch of re-editing!

A Detailed Examination Into One Family...
"Day 65" (Take 2)
The troubles of the past were apparently over. At least for one
family, that is. Today was just another ordinary day at the home of
John and Sandra Washington and their two children Robbie and Patty.
Of course, there was one rather major change the entire world was
still adjusting to, and the Washington family was was always good at
adapting to whatever life tossed their way.
It had been two months since the Great Shift.
And things were more than a little bit different now than they had
been back then.

It was just another ordinary day at the home of John and Sandra
Washington and their two children Robbie and Patty, two short months
after their lives had changed in one instant of madness which had
changed an entire world. The Great Shift had affected them all! It
had been difficult, but the entire family had all managed to adjust
to most, if not all of the alterations of their new lives.
John stepped out of his SUV carefully, climbing down from the
refitted driver's seat which enabled him to drive safely despite his
small stature. His cute little girl dress caught on the door handle
and he had to readjust it around his little body. He grabbed his
briefcase and struggled to close the car door. It was so much
heavier to him now, and that was one thing that the refit had been
unable to change. But it was within his new capabilities if he gave
it a really hard push.
His ponytail swung back and forth along his back as he walked up the
path to his front door. When it had become clear the Great Switch
was permanent, John had planned to have his annoyingly long black
hair cut off but his daughter and wife had complained so much that
he gave in to them. Patty said it had taken years to get it to grow
down to her waist and cried even at the suggestion of him chopping
it off. Scrunching it up into a ponytail was his concession to them,
keeping it out of his way.
He made his way inside after a hard day at the office. It was a lot
harder to convince people to buy and sell real estate from him when
a little ten-year-old girl was the person who was in charge of
making the deal. He had to work three times harder now and made less
than half his amount of commissions. He put his briefcase on the
entry table, kicked off his shoes, which had two inch heels designed
to give his small body a hint of extra height. John walked into the
living room, wanting nothing more than to sink into the soft
recliner and watch the nightly news. He tucked his limber legs under
his body and tuned into CNN. At least he could take comfort in the
fact that the formerly male anchorman was also his same current age
and gender. John could relate to the little girl reporting the day?s
events. It wasn't easy being a girl!
His kids were watching cartoons, but they knew better than to object
when their dad changed the channel over to the cable news network.

Robbie moved over to the desk to go online. His bra dug into his
shoulders and he pulled it out and massaged the affected area. It
had been two months since he had been placed into his mother's body
by the shift and he still hated being her. He found some solace in
the many chat rooms where people of all ages and different body
types could communicate about their new bodies. Sometimes the other
people chatted about how to learn to adapt to their new bodies, and
sometimes they just blew off steam about how hard it was to be
someone else every day! But it helped Robbie to talk with others,
especially other boys who were now stuck in their mother's bodies.
When he turned thirteen this year, he had expected his body to go
through many changes, but becoming his mother wasn't one of those
expected changes. Instead of shaving his face, he now shaved his
legs! Instead of getting hair on his chest, he now wore bras! And it
still embarrassed him to even THINK about his new monthly 'visitor',
let alone discuss that area with anyone! His new body may have
belonged to his mother but it was still way too embarrassing to talk
to her about it, especially with the body she now possessed.
Sometimes Robbie felt funny feelings and desires just by looking at
her, and he could hardly tell his mother THAT!

Meanwhile, Patty went to her room to play with her dolls. They were
old friends and she still liked playing with them even now that she
was no longer a little girl. After so many weeks, she had grown used
to seeing Robbie's face in the mirror in the morning. She had always
envied her older brother and it hadn't taken her long to get over
being scared by the changes after the big switch!
She thought it was cool being so much bigger and stronger, and it
was a lot easier not having to worry about dresses and training bras
and getting her first period, and all the other things that her
father and brother had to get used to now that they were female! She
could even drive in only a few more years now that she was her
thirteen-year-old brother!
The male stuff between her thighs had freaked her out at first but
since she was stuck with having boy's parts, she quickly learned to
accept it, and even have fun with it! It was rather neat to stand up
when she had to go to the bathroom. It was like a video game aiming
for the bowl; only the controls were very real and were stuck
between her legs! The first time it had gotten big and swollen just
a day after the switch, she got really scared, but her father talked
to her and told her all about what to expect, and that it would soon
get small again. She was soon able to relax. Now it was almost
second nature to have it there, unless she thought about Marissa or
tried crossing her legs.
She had always gotten along well with Robbie's first girlfriend
Marissa even after they had broken up, and after meeting the girl
again a few weeks after the switch, she had learned that Marissa
hadn't changed with anyone. Only a few people remained un-switched,
and Marissa was lucky enough to be one of those unchanged! Like many
kids, Marissa's mom and dad had swapped with each other. It had
taken several days but once Marissa got used to Patty being inside
of Robbie's body she told Patty she really liked her now and
suggested that they start dating! Patty had always had a secret
crush on the girl, and the idea really appealed to her, but her
mother objected, saying she was too young to date.
Little did her mom suspect that the two of them met after school now
almost every day and sometimes even kissed each other! It was so
cool being a BOY, Patty often thought!

Sandra was busy in the kitchen making dinner for her family. It had
been months since she woke up after the Switch and found herself
inside her husband's body. She still found it strange after over
forty years as a woman to act like a man. It might have been easier
if her husband had become her, and they could share their problems
and continue to be a married couple, but her husband was now stuck
inside her ten year old daughter's body.
She still loved John, but any sexual interest in him was now gone.
She could never think of him as a husband again. Her son was the
possessor of her former body, but she simply could not find it
possible to be interested in her own, former body sexually. Even if
her husband had been the one to get her body, she no longer found it
either sexy or attractive. She knew all the flaws in it all too
well.
For months, she had buried herself in taking care of her family,
helping each person to adjust to their new bodies and accept the
many changes the Shift had forced upon them all.
Her daughter had adjusted the fastest, but despite her older
appearance, she was still a ten-year-old tomboy, still just a child,
and had not yet matured into a woman. Going from tomboy to being an
actual boy was apparently easier for Patty than the transitions of
the rest of her family.
Her husband had adjusted to his changes rather well after the first
shock of becoming a little girl had settled, but he still struggled
to be a parent and breadwinner. She had offered to get a job but
John insisted that no wife of his would ever have to work as long as
he could still walk. She had not fought him on the subject, but she
knew that she would have to make some changes soon. It was simply
too tough on his little girl body to keep up with the demands of
showing several houses a day now that he was inside a ten year old
body. He wasn't strong enough anymore to continue to work.
But she was strong enough! She flexed the manly black arms that had
once belonged to her husband, pleased to feel so strong. Sandra was
even prouder of her family's interior strength, though. Life had
thrown a lot of curves at her family lately, particularly at her
husband and son who would, in the future, be members of the curvier
gender, but they had all done quite well in adapting to those
changes. She knew several people who had committed suicide instead
of coming to terms with their new bodies. But her family was
survivors!

Sandra had to be the man in the family now that she had the body to
match. Sandra planned to tell John tonight that he wouldn't be going
back to work on Monday. His unemployment checks would give her time
to find a job so that she could properly take care of her family. It
was an obligation she wanted to fill now that she was the oldest
male, and the only adult person still possessing an adult body.
She knew her husband was man enough to act more like a little girl
should when it came to work, but she wondered how he would take it
when she informed him of her other major decision. She didn't want
to tell him she had also come to the very reluctant conclusion that
her marriage was over, but there were simply too many
irreconcilable, physical differences that time would not alter. She
needed someone, an adult in an adult body, whom she could love
without feelings of incest.
Her husband was now and forevermore a young girl in a body she had
birthed, and her own body housed the mind of her son. Perhaps if
they had swapped with each other the marriage could continue, but as
it stood, she knew the marriage was over. She would of course keep
John in the family, she would never stop loving him, but he could no
longer be a husband. Legally, John was an adult despite his body,
but Sandra hoped he would accept her plans to adopt him as her
daughter after the divorce was final.
Telling John he had to quit a job he loved wouldn't be easy but it
had to be done. Divorcing him would be a lot harder, but she was
both woman, and man, enough to do what she had to do take care of
herself and the family she loved.
