Upon the village of Tsuku, rain fell.

Though the rain had subsided as dusk fell, the dampness clung to the
air, and made Toshi shiver. He had followed Aika out of the village,
hoping to catch her before she returned to the farmhouses. All the other

Truth be told, she had never really notice Toshi, thought she had seen
many of the boys training together with him. But on this night, she

outburst, he looked around for witnesses... "Was someone in those bushes
behind me?" he wondered.
He looked around quietly, found nothing, and continued after Aika,
unaware of the dark Samurai who followed...

"Aika? Aika-san, are you awake?" Toshi pored over Aika's naked body in
the moonlight.
She had detoured away from the farmhouses toward the East Wall, a cave-
speckled mountain just beyond the town's border, and a popular place for
local boys to take their girls. He met her there with a half-dozen
others, and he must have gotten drunk... his head was still swimming,
and the crowd had dispersed. But what was he doing half-dressed and
lying over Aika? He must have gotten luckier than he thought!

Suddenly, the back of his head exploded with pain, and darkness engulfed

His head was strained upward by an unseen force only to see a shadow
standing next to the campfire... standing over something...
Toshi blinked. The Samurai was standing over Aika's body! Had he killed
her? Who was this mysterious being?

An aura of darkness swirled around Kamidoku, his body growing to match
its size. Like two great wisps of smoke, charred wings erupted from his
shoulders as his blackened helmet peeled away to reveal a demonic

"TOSHI-SAN... YOU HAVE SLAIN ONE OF THE ELEVEN PURE-HEARTED WHO REMAIN

The pain in Toshi's head cleared, and he crawled to his hands and knees.
Long, flowing hair fell about his face. "Where did this hair come from?"
