"See you later Mom, I'm going to meet Matt at his house before we go to
school!" James Baxter said quickly as he darted down the stairs and into
the kitchen, grabbing a cereal bar and running out the door and into the
rain. His mother into his room on her way downstairs and saw that he
hadn't opened the curtains (as usual) and that he had forgotten his
backpack.
That afternoon the door opened and James walked in, soaked to the bone.
"Why didn't anybody tell me there was a downpour that was going to last
all day?" he asked.
His mother looked at him and said in that parental tone all kids hate,
"Well that serves you right for not checking to see what the weather's
like."
"I also forgot my backpack, and because of that, I didn't hand in my
homework, so I have a week's detention, my Science Essay was also in
there too, so I've got another week's detention because of that!" James
said angrily, changing out of his clothes and into some dry ones, he then
put on his coat, grabbed an umbrella and his car keys and told his mom he
was going to the mall.
After about ten, maybe fifteen minutes (due to traffic), James was at the
mall, and after a while, he noticed a new shop near the food court. It
looked pretty worn down; one window was even boarded up. He saw the sign
above the door; it read Spells 'R Us. Obviously it was a shop for little
kids to buy generic, incredibly fake magic tricks to 'impress' their
parents with. He did see on the other window, the one with a pane of
glass, a sign that read 'Customer satisfaction guaranteed or triple the
money back.' James figured since he had a fortnight of detentions, he
might as well buy a few things from the place and return them in a week
or so, allowing him to make three times as much as he had spent and as a
result he would be able to buy a few new things to use for real fun.
Deciding that it was a good idea, he walked into the Spells 'R Us store.
What he found in the store was nothing like what he expected, this small
store had just about everything one could use in one situation or
another, however, to his dismay, most of the stuff looked more like it
was aimed a girls than boys. He looked up to a person sat on a stool over
behind the counter, this man looked pretty old, James guessed that the
guy was in his late sixties, possibly early seventies. The beard on him
was long, about down to the waist, it was grey and impossibly thick, it
obviously looked like it was fake. He also wore what looked like a dark
blue Bathrobe with Yellow Trim, and a yellow star on the pocket. James
approached him.
"Welcome to Spells 'R Us James, and don't ask how I know your name, you
see, I'm a wizard," the man said with a grin. His voice was nothing like
what James expected from a man his age, it sounded more like a man in
fifties.
"A wizard?" James asked mockingly. "I doubt that, but I'm here for a
different reason."
"Yes, you want to buy some stuff, leave it, and return it in a week or
two claiming it doesn't work," the Wizard said.
"What? How did you-" James said, quickly regaining his cool composition.
"Ah no matter, you can't really do a thing, and you did get one thing
wrong, I'm going to see what each thing does, then I'll return them in a
week," he added, once again speaking in a mocking tone. "So, what do you
have?"
"Well, we have a fine collection of CDs, take a look," the wizard said,
lifting a wooden box out from under the counter. Inside were about 30 to
40 CDs, each one with a small Spells 'R Us logo on the bottom of the
spine, as well as in the bottom left corner of the front of it. Half of
them were groups that James had never heard of, so he set aside about ten
of the CDs from groups he liked, and then asked to see what else there
was.
After about 5 minutes of this, James paid the Wizard and left with 10
CDs, 4 DVDs, and even a couple of items that the wizard was selling for a
special promotion, they were called Mystery Boxes and James had no idea
what was inside. He put them in the back of his car and drove home,
letting himself in the house with his key after he found that his mother
had already left to go to dinner with his father. He took the stuff up to
his room, and opened the boxes. Inside the boxes there were things that
really made James cringe. He had unwittingly bought girls Lingerie,
makeup, even a few outfits (No jeans or pants though, skirts only for the
lower half of each outfit). Deciding it was too late at night to go back
and get a refund, as well as too soon to do so at the moment, he took one
of the CDs, placed it in his CD Player, turned it on, and within half an
hour, he was fast asleep.
The next morning he woke up, only to realise that he somehow had put on a
pair of panties and a bra that was in one of those boxes, and his nails
were painted red. He got up, took off the clothes and got in the shower,
luckily for him to nail polish was pretty crap; it chipped off with ease
when the water hit it. He proceeded with his morning routine and shoved a
CD in the player to listen to while he got dressed. The next thing he
knew was that he was dressed, but he was now holding a compact and was
about to put some of that makeup on! He looked at his outfit and saw that
is was one from the boxes too. He was wearing a red top with a small pink
heart on the centre of the chest, and a blue Denim Miniskirt over a pair
of pantyhose. His shoes were black boots, and he even had repainted his
nails. He figured that he had spaced out for a moment and put girl
clothes on instead of his own, all the time this was happening he hadn't
noticed that each time he spaced out his room had changed partially to
look more and more like a girl's room, that and his body had slightly
changed each time (but the magic involved made him unable to notice that,
nor would he realise what was causing him to zone out until someone told
him).
He took off the clothes and swapped them out for his own, and went into
the bathroom to try to get the nail polish off. It took a little longer
than before, but it came off pretty easily. He went onto his computer and
put a DVD into the drive and began to see what was on them. As soon as
the menu for the DVD popped up, he blinked, and what he saw was
undoubtedly the end credits for the main feature of the DVD. After they
finished the Spells 'R Us logo appeared on the screen and the wizard
appeared in front of it.
"Well James, looks like you were wrong about me being able to do anything
to stop you," the Wizard said. "You may have noticed that when you woke
up this morning you were wearing lingerie and nail polish, correct?"
James was dumbfounded, how was the old guy from the store yesterday
talking to him like this? All he could do at the moment was nod, as he
was more or less speechless.
"You then saw that you were wearing girl's clothes and you were about to
put on makeup after spacing out when you were getting ready. Correct?"
the wizard asked.
James nodded again, creeped out by what was happening.
"Well what you didn't realise is that what you bought from me yesterday
are Magic CDs and DVDs that when played, will trigger the state you enter
when you awaken to realise you are dressed like a girl. Look around your
room; you'll notice what has happened to it now."
James turned his head to look, what he thought was his regular room had
changed, no longer was it a guy's haven, it was close to looking a bit
girly, the sheets on his bed were a paler colour than before, what was
blue was now turning pink, they were also silkier too. His headboard had
changed to a pastel pink one, the shape was close to being the same, but
it looked like it was turning into a heart covered one, as small pads of
fabric were forming in the shape of them. His Heavy Metal CDs were now
Charts CDs, with a few from Ashlee Simpson and other girly girl artists
thrown in. There was a vanity by the window, with all sorts of girly
cosmetics, perfumes, and other stuff that James thought was pure crap.
His sports posters were now posters of actors that would drive most girls
mad, a large mirror stood in the corner of the room, looking into it he
noticed he was wearing the same clothes as before, only with a change,
they were skimpier, the skirt was tiny, the top showed off his midriff,
and that wasn't the end of it, because he knew that this was only the
beginning of what the Wizard had in store for him.
"Now do you see what has been happening?" the wizard asked. "Now that
you're on your way to being a girl, you'll no longer enter the girl
state; which is what has been happening when you space out. You will
however slowly change more and more, you see, while your room has changed
in appearance, it is the same room in every other sense, but until your
transformation is complete, only you will be able to see it for what it
truly is. Oh and before I continue..." the wizard said, snapping his
fingers. The chair James was sitting in became extremely feminine, and he
could feel that it was stretched silk that he was sat on. He slowly got
up and checked his bed sheets, they were satin now.
"What the?" he asked.
"Now each time you use the items in this room, and you will use them,
you'll change ever so slightly, however from now on each item is the girl
version, completely feminine in feel, size, no matter what, however each
item will look like it would when you were a boy, however that's only to
everyone but you. You will see and feel them for what they truly are.
You'll also find that you'll have girlish habits, such as doing your
makeup before you go out and trying on multiple outfits before you settle
on one you like, but with each girly activity you do you'll also change,
not just in body, but in mind, and your family will see you as you have
always been until the change is complete, when your boy form will be
wiped from their memory. Oh, and isn't your sister, Zo? I think her name
was, meant to be back from college today?"
"Yeah," James said, "what of it?"
"Well, she now enjoys embarrassing you in front of her friends by making
you do everything she says, usually through blackmail, and she'll have
plenty of it now, because she's practiced this secret psychological
torture on you for years," the wizard said, grinning vengefully. "Why,
she's even had you hypnotised into having quite a few triggers, one of
which will have you thinking that your name's Jade when you're obeying
her, and she can turn it on and off in an instant. I hope you have fun,
because there's no way out of it, you'll never be able to find me again,
and you'll have to answer to her every day now, and the catch is, she's
used a hypnotic trance on you to make you do so from the computer in your
room every time."
James was mortified by this, he was stuck as a girl for most of the next
few weeks, months, even years, he had no idea how long it would take
until his transformation was complete. The Wizard looked at him and
snapped his fingers, memories flooded James' mind, memories of him being
the stereotypical bratty little brother when they were younger, but when
their babysitter taught his Zo? how to use hypnosis, the tables turned,
she had James retain memories of being Zo?'s little sister as a method of
torture, he could remember playing dolls with her, modelling girly
dresses for her, even joining in with Zo? and her friends when they were
having sleepovers, all the time being her little sister, her maid,
whatever she wanted.
"Now before I leave I have to do one thing, think of what's happening to
you now as a result of your objective to rip me off," the wizard said,
snapping his fingers one last time, the stuff Jackson had bought from him
lost their magical properties, the clothes he had bought were now in the
wardrobe and dresser, the CDs were full of girly songs, the DVDs were
Chick Flicks. Jackson's memories of the Wizard and Spells 'R Us vanished;
he would only know what was happening to him as they happened. He was
stuck.
That night, James was sat downstairs watching TV while his sister and her
friends were upstairs having a small slumber party. Her bedroom door
opened, the music coming from inside stopped, and a voice called down,
"Pretty Pretty Jade, come in here to play!"
As soon as those words entered his mind, he got up, and his body began to
walk upstairs of its own accord. James' female side had taken control,
and James could feel part of his body change, as his body hair moved back
into his body, save for the hair on his head, Zo? would say that one of
her trances forced him to shave it off on a regular basis, and James
thought that was why he had no body hair once the change was over.
Meanwhile the Wizard was thinking about what James had done, maybe, just
maybe, he would remove the spell over James, but only once James was on
his deathbed, he would remove the spell and return James to the start of
the day when he had bought all that stuff off of him, and make it so that
James never decided to rip him off.
