A short story from the Beckford Chronicles
It was like a mould that she poured herself into, every time she looked
in the mirror. How many days and nights had she wished to fold into the
illusion in front of her? How many dreams of the body beautiful has she
had? Too many she decided.
"So you like what you see?"
Rhetorical and cynical were her buzz words.
"Yes I do. Most pleasing. How much?"
"More than you can afford, judging by your suit."
The crestfallen look in his eyes didn't disguise the lust he still held
for her.
"What if I bargained? I mean... surely money isn't all you need?"
She snorted. Of course it wasn't. Times were hard, and while currency
would be paramount to secure her drugs, she wasn't adverse to bartering
away her flesh now and again.
"Fine. What do you have to offer?"
He shyly took out his wallet. Genuine leather. Opening it he produced a
card and handed it to her.
Willem Fawcett, Attorney at Law
A faint smiled played at her lips. This could be gold dust to any
muckraker. G Men were not supposed to consort with the likes of her, and
if exposed it would be a scandal. Worthy of her services indeed.
"Okay. It'll cost you half my normal rate, plus a favour as and when I
need it."
He nodded. He was attractive in his own way, though the tousled hair were
a sign that he was too busy to keep up appearances.
"Follow me then. I do insist that you are clean, so if you are not the
bathroom is through there."
Her manicured fingers pointed to a room off to the side. She led him
through the doors of the inner sanctum, and into her 'office'. She then
proceeded to get his thumb print to seal the deal. The ink-stained thumb
was soon cleaned on a fresh towel. His DNA was now stained, so if he
reneged she could prove their bargain.
"Well Mr Fawcett, what is your deadly sin going to be this evening?"
"Paramour de femmenestra... I want to be a woman, with something extra."
She looked at him oddly for a moment, and laughed slightly. It was not
often that someone used the correct term for the religious observants of
Fenderism, and even more unusual for a man of his station to express his
desire to be one.
"Okay, it will take a few minutes, and I will need you to strip. Have you
ever used the nannites before?"
"Never, though I did experiment with various drugs at college."
She beckoned him to strip, and he duly obliged. His body was in pretty
good shape for an office man. His muscle tone were decent, and his didn't
have much hair. The nannites would be able to work quickly on him.
"OK, so what sort of look would you like?"
She took out an e-pad from the dresser draw, and he proceeded to sketch
out a blue eyed blond, with generous proportions, and 7" of womanhood.
"What clothing would you like?"
His tastes were in the classic mode, very easy for the fabricator to
replicate. Lots of silk and soft chiffon.
"Finally, how long would you like the look to last? Any longer than 2
days and you risk molecular necrosis if you try to reverse it. Oh, and
what is her name going to be?"
"Only 36 hours. My partner thinks I am at a conference, and work may try
to contact me. I wish to be called Selene."
She nodded, and inputted all the data into a small device on top of the
dresser. Next to it was a small time piece with green numbers which she
set to 36 Terran hours. The device bleeped as it completed its operation,
and she removed a small vial. Finally she inserted it into a dry spray
which she handed to her client.
"I will start the clock once you inject this. Your clothes will be ready
by the time you come round. Bear in mind that you will not be able to
leave this room until it is reversed as you do not have the security
clearance in this new form."
He nodded, then laid back on the bed. Taking the spray in his right hand
he pressed it against his arm. She could see the flush come to his cheeks
as he pressed down of the trigger. In a heart beat the anesthetic took
effect, and his body relaxed into her silken sheets. She hit the start
button on the time piece, and the green digits slowly ticked down. It
would be another 30 minutes before the nannites took effect, and she had
to ensure Selene had her outfit to wear.
She herself was often the one to use the nannites, while her customers
waited in her atrium. They were like a drug, though unlike morphine or
endocrine there was no chance of an overdose, just rotting flesh and
inexorable molecular breakdown. On more than one occasion she had been
stuck in a new form, requiring a complete change of ID by the
authorities, which was not cheap.
"Lilette please inform central tracking that I have Mr Fawcett for the
next couple of days, and his new body may require ID if it fails."
"Certainly madame. Will there be anything else this evening?"
Her computer's purr was almost unearthly. Very well trained, and very
pleasing on the eye in her holo mode.
"Probably not, but please remain in active mode just in case."
She entered a side room with a large display unit in front, and activated
the fabricator with a swish of her hand. She played her hands over the
controls as she entered Selene's choices. The soft silk lingerie
materialised, along with a delicate chiffon gown. The subtle blue hues of
the fabric matched their delicate design.
She had time to pour drinks for both of them. As a companion of the Guild
of Walkers she was an expert hostess, and she enjoyed making her clients
feel special. They paid her a small fortune for the privilege, and she
made sure they time with her was memorably good.
"Madame, your guest is arousing from her slumber."
"Thank you Lilette."
She carried the two crystal glasses back into her inner chamber on a
tray, along with a box containing her guests new clothing.
"Hello sleeping beauty, how do you feel?"
The woman on the bed in front of her let out a small yawn, and took the
offered package.
"I feel wonderful - no I feel divine."
Selene proceeded to run her hands over her new figure. The nannites had
given her a body to die for. No blemishes, perfect proportions, and a
shade of blond hair that was sunshine personified. After she had spent
five minutes exploring her contours, and discovering her most intimate
areas were still there, she opened the package and picked up each item in
turn.
"Wow, there really is no words to describe how I feel. I didn't realise
just how sensuous they would make me."
Her voice was of a higher pitch, softer, but her accent and patterns were
still the same.
"Giselle you are a miracle worker. I had heard about the Walker's skills
before, but this surpasses anything I have seen on Stella-net."
Madame blushed.
"Thank you. We have some very interesting trade secrets, and now you are
privy to one. Now, shall we get you dressed, or would you rather play?"
The blue eyes paused for a second mulling over the possibilities.
"I would love it if you could help me explore and play for a while."
"Okay. Lilette please play something soothing and classical - Earth 58th
millennia."

A coy come-hither smile played on Selene's lips as she beckoned the more
experienced woman over. Giselle had experienced a femenestra before, and
on occasion visited the temple in down town Neus. It was rare for her to
actually birth one through the metamorphosis nannites, and it was
certainly something she was going to enjoy. Jaded as she was, a woman's
touch always en-flamed her.
"Selene, how would you like me to proceed?"
She moved onto the expansive bed, the silk gently giving way beneath her.
She took the box, and placed it on the plush floor.
"Be gentle."
Giselle obliged as she gently took the other woman's hand in her own. She
guided her fingers to undo the ties on her gown, and the delicate
material fell away to reveal her own flawless body - the tiny hands of
the Machine-God had recreated it many times. The look of desire that
flashed through Selene's eyes brought a kaleidoscope of butterflies to
her stomach. The guide became the teacher as both woman felt the supple
skin of the other.
Giselle paused for a moment as she ran her finger over her lip. Selene
bit her lower lip in such a sensuous manner... the spark flared as time
slowed and her heart beat became shallow. It had been such a long time
since she had felt lust, yet the woman in front of her beckoned.
In the space of two heart beats the softness of Selene's lips gave way to
the sweetness of a kiss that only a woman could give. Gentle, delicate,
honest.
"Hmmmmm"
Like the most succulent fruit the kiss lingered as they stared into each
others eyes. Giselle knew it was going to a pleasure rather than her
usual chore this evening.

The green digits ticked quietly in the background as she played with the
blond hair resting on her chest. The afterglow was her favourite place in
the universe. Even Port Neus' view of the whole of the Whinthropian
sunrise could not compare to how she felt now. The feeling of Selene
climaxing inside her lingered still, and the shallow breaths of her
client's sleep made her smile all the more tenderly. It was very rare for
her to become caught up in the moment with her clients, but the fact
Selene was bi-gendered made the experience all the more fulfilling.
"Magda? Oh... sorry... I thought I was at home."
Selene started to stir from her slumber. She let out a short yawn, which
she stifled with the back of her hand.
"Don't worry honey, we still have plenty of time before you have to
return to your usual form."
The elicited smile was like real honey, sweet and delicious. Giselle
gently kissed her lips as she softly stroked her arm.
"Do you fancy anything to eat? I don't have anything fresh, but Lilette
can make whatever you heart desires."
Selene's nose wrinkled in concentration.
"Ummm... I do feel peckish - how about maple drenched oatmeal pancakes?"
Giselle couldn't help but laugh. Her guests' usual choices were far more
exotic. Traditional Terran cuisine was not on her personal menu, but it
had been a long time since she had tasted maple syrup... and she giggled
at the fun she could have with it.
"Lilette, can we have pancakes and maple syrup for two, please."
"Yes madame."
The entwined women separated like a flower opening, revealing their
beauty to one another. Giselle felt a flush of hormones fan her desire
once again as she drank in her client's features. Most of the men she
entertained were boorish, especially the Sogonian ones. The tribal
members who engaged her services usually treated her like a saw horse, to
be used and abused as they saw fit. That she cost them more than the
price of a family car per session was not an issue for them, they just
saw it as an excuse to do what ever they saw fit.
"Ladies, breakfast is served." Lilette walked into the inner sanctum, the
faint trail of light coming after her gave away her holo-matrix.
"Thank you. Please leave the tray on the bed. Also inform the minister I
will be able to see him next."
Her assistant nodded and disappeared in a fountain of light.
"I haven't had these in such a long time, though I do like maple syrup."
Selene smiled as she accepted the offered plate.
"These are a treat Magda cooks from time to time whenever she returns
from visiting her parents on Terra. There is nothing like the taste of
original recipe foods."
Giselle gently shook her head. This was turning into a far more
interesting session than she could ever have imagined. The fascinating
thing was that she was allowing herself to have feelings again. Usually
she just shut herself away in a small compartment, and allowed her madame
persona to take over. She was a Companion of the Bar, a courtesan of the
high court, and even the patriarchs had graced her door. Yet this lowly
servant of the state had given her more pleasure and succour than all the
elite combined.
"Even your synthesised ones are not half bad. Your processor seems to
have a great recipe programmed in." Selene enquired midway through
licking maple syrup off her lips.
"Yes. I usually try to get the best recipes of stella-net when I have
time to check. Most of my guests like to have very exotic cuisine. Alpha
pheno-birds yesterday, ho-lang puree a few weeks back. Sometimes it is
nice to take a step back and appreciate the simple things."
Selene nodded sagely. As they ate, the silence between them seemed only
to heighten their enjoyment. The odd glance, a playful gesture. As Selene
finished, her host graciously took the empty platter from her, and placed
the used items on the floor.
As the music returned with a graceful sweep of Giselle's arm, the two
women returned to their journey of exploration. The gentle kisses and
caresses gave way to sensuous moans and cries of rapture. Blue eyes
expressed a life time's worth of wanton desire in the space of the few
moments they shared. Time spent with a companion would be remembered for
a lifetime.

The gentle throb of the alarm alerted both of them that their time was
up. Giselle gave a long, lingering kiss to her client as she separated
from her one last time. She bit her lip as she readied the antidote for
Selene, and it was with no small degree of sadness that she passed the
dry spray over. A final brush of her hand ended one of her most memorable
encounters of her walker career.
30 minutes later their journey finally ended as Willem accepted his
clothes from Giselle.
"Thank you... these last few days will stay with me forever. Please call
upon me whenever you require my assistance."
Giselle had to fight down the tears welling up inside of her. She played
with his card - the cool metallic surface softly reflecting back her
beauty.
"It was truly a pleasure, Willem. Please accept these as a token; if your
wife complains then just say you were in a rush at the space port."
Her client gave a sad smile as he accepted Selene's clothes, still unworn
and neatly pressed in their box. She guided him back through the atrium,
and with a tender kiss on his cheek she released him back into the world
beyond. The door closed with a gentle swoosh, and her world returned to
its axis.
"Lilette, how long do I have until the Minister arrives?"
"Minister Beck will be arriving in 3 Terran hours - he has requested you
for his usual 48 hour soiree. He also requested you accompany him to the
ball tomorrow evening."
Giselle smiled. Darius Beck was an up-and-coming member of tribe Beck's
ruling cadre, and she always appreciated spending time with him as he was
never too demanding. She had plenty of time to clean up and prepare for
his arrival, so she allowed herself a moment to reflect on the paramour
called Selene.
