Overview:
In part one: Jamie started to emerge as to who... she is. Unknowingly,
with the help of her mother and father, Jamie was challenged not just by
them but also by herself. The male orientation she went through all
those years was over whelming her, until her self-esteem decided to
fight back.
Jamie starts to show some of her female personality traits in more
dominate ways leaving many family members puzzled, and as you have read
in part one, others that at one time or another have seen or felt her
presence while she was living out her life as a male person. For better
understanding of Jamie see part one, although part two is self-
contained.
Chapter 11
"Jamie..., Jamie..., Jamie..., wake up..., wake up!"
I heard little voices from angels telling me to wake up. When I open my
eyes, it was my sisters in bed with me trying to wake me up. Yolanda
said,
"Mom wants you to wake up and come to her room."
I said, "Ok, Ok, you guys."
They start jumping up and down on the bed yelling, "Get-up!"
I said, "Ok!"
When I took the covers off me, I discovered that I had on the yellow
baby doll pajamas, the ones I told Mom (by mistake) I liked in Penney's.
Then I looked up and saw Mom had come into the room and sat on the bed.
Mom said, "You have been sleeping too long this morning. We have things
to do today, so get up."
I looked around and my sisters were not in the room. I asked mom where
my sisters had gone.
Mom said, "Gone? Gone where? They are in their bedroom still asleep from
last night."
I said, "What?"
Then I looked down and saw I had on one of Mom's night gowns on. I
looked up at Mom.
Mom looked at me and said, "Are you still asleep, Jamie? Wake up! We
have a long day ahead of us and your father, or as you call him now,
"Daddy," has gone to work and your Aunty will be here in an hour. So we
can return the things we bought yesterday and get a few other things you
need as a young lady. And also get your school uniforms."
I dropped my head on my pillow and said, "Oh Mom, not again."
"Come on, I have already run your bath water, and use this cap on your
head so as not to get your hair wet."
"Ok, Mother."
I started for the door and Mom yelled," Young Lady!"
I stopped and looked back and saw Mom looking at my gown. I look down
and saw that the gown was a see through.
I said, "Mom!"
I reached for a robe Mom left on the chair and said, "Oops," and smiled
at her.
Mom said, "There are lots of changes in your male behavior you will have
to change and be aware of the fact you are a woman now despite the male
parts you have."
I said, "Yes...Mother."
In my robe, I went from the bedroom to the bathroom to take my bath.
After putting on the cap, I stepped into the bath; the water smelled
real nice. Mom had added some of her skin-so-soft to the bath water. I
soaked in the bath for a few minutes, and then washed up afterwards.
When I got out, my skin felt so soft and smooth. I smiled, put my robe
on, and went back into the bedroom, where Mom had put out my clothes for
the day. The clothes I had on yesterday were washed and pressed out. Mom
knocked, and came into the room.
I ran over to her, hugged her, and said, "Thanks for that wonderful
bath, Mom."
She smiled and told me there are many more wonderful things awaiting for
me, "So let's fix your hair."
It only took a few minutes to touch up, thanks to the satin cap she gave
me last night.
"There now, get dressed and come down stairs," Mom said, as she started
to leave the room. But she turned around and sat in the chair and looked
at me with saddened eyes, the same look Dad had last night when we just
sat in the car and talk a while before we went inside to get the milk.
Then Mom started to tell me she was sorry for not telling me about my
needing to wear a bra, then she said there were other times she and
Aunty had wanted to tell me while watching me grow up. She could not
interfere with the male orientation that was going on.
Chapter 12
Then Mom said something that she had to take a bit of time to explain.
It was about nature and nurturing.
She said, "The doctors had convinced me that nurturing you to be a boy
would work."
She said, "Apparently, the doctors were wrong and I should have listen
to your old father and let nature do its thing, or just let you grow
into who you are."
I went over and hugged Mom and said, "Like I told you before, it's Ok.
I love you Mother, and by the way, Daddy and I had this conversation
last night just before I told him all the clothes from the Men's store
are woman's wear."
I gave Mom another hug and a kiss on the cheek.
Then I asked her, "What about Doctor Young?"
Mom smiled and said, "Doctor Young is Ok. I started going to him because
he is an endocrinologist for children. He has been monitoring you for
about ten years now. That is why you have such a crush on him."
"Crush? Mom, I do not have a crush on him. Eeu!"
Mom said, smiling at me, "You need to finish getting dressed, and I will
see you down stairs."
As I was about to leave the bedroom, there was a knock at the door. I
opened the door to see my brothers standing there with smiles on their
faces.
My younger brother said, "So Sis, can we have our room back for the
moment? We need to get dressed and out of here. Our other aunt, Aunt
Karen, is coming over to baby sit and we don't want to get stuck here.
She's always having us do things around the house."
I smiled at the two of them and gave them both big hugs. I looked at the
two of them and said, "Thank you, thank you for being the best brothers,
and I love you both."
At that moment, mom yelled that our aunty was here. I told the guys,
"I'm sorry I held the room up for so long but I have to go, bye."
I was skipping down the stairs right into Auntie's line of sight. Aunty
said, "Ladies do not run down stairs."
I smiled at Aunty and gave her a hug and said, "But Aunty, I am still a
girl."
Aunty said, "No, you are a young lady now. You proved that yesterday,
and I am not going to let you back slide out of it!"
Than Aunty reached down and gave me a kiss on my cheek. At that moment I
looked over and saw Mom. She had seen and heard the whole thing and
smiled at me. She said,
"Thanks Sis, I can check that one off my list."
I said, "List?"
Aunty said, "Come on you two. We are running late. We will get something
at a Diner."
I spoke up, "Aunty, can we go a Hot Shoppes instead? Please!"
Aunty looked at me and said, "I understand, Ok."
As we were leaving, my other aunt arrived.
I said, "Hi Aunt Karen, and gave her a hug."
Aunt Karen said, "Stand back and let me get a look at you! You are the
cutest, and I love your new hand bag. It is about time. I will talk to
you, when you get back. Oh! By the way, where are the boys?"
I yelled, "They're upstairs in their bedroom Aunt Karen! Bye."
I got in the waiting car and we drove way. I reached into my bag for my
sunglasses and found some cherry lip balm. I smiled up at Mom and Aunty,
applied it to my lips, sat back, and listened to the car radio.
"Oh sugar....oh honey, honey.... you are my kind of girl, and I'm
wanting you. OH...Honey........."

When I opened my eyes, Mom was setting next to me in the car. I said,

I looked into Mom's eyes and I could see she was frightened and crying.
She pulled me to her and held me tighter than ever before. It felt good
and Mom smelled so nice. It had a calming effect on me. For the first

Then I started to cry again. Mom told me to calm down,
"No one is going to change you back, honey... "
That's when I heard Aunty say, "Baby, your Mom is right, no one is going
to change you back to being a boy, I will see to that."
Aunty looked at Mom and said, "I will contact my lawyer tomorrow and do
the paper work to correct the gender on your birth and school records."
Mom said, "Thank you, Sis."
Mom was still holding me close and weeping with me.
Aunty said, "Ok, do we go on or do the two of you want to go home?"
Mom looked at me and said, "Well Honey?"
I nodded and said, "Let's go on."
Aunty said, "Good thing we just ate or we would be hungry for the rest
of the day while we shop."
She said, "Sis, do you want to go to Penney's or the uniform store which
we are closer at this time?"
Mom said, "The uniform store first, then Penney's."
Aunty said, "Sis, I have a feeling we might take Jamie's being a young
lady a little slower. It may be too much for her right now. I was
thinking, if it is alright with you, about treating her as an older girl
instead of a young lady."
Mom said, "I think you're right Sis."
While listening to Aunty and Mom, I said, "Aunty, does that mean I can
skip down the stairs?"
Aunty chuckled, "No you may fall and hurt yourself."
Then Aunty asked, "Do you want the radio back on?"
"No Aunty! I just want to hear Mom and your voices. They make me feel
safe, Ok?"
She said, "OK."
While sitting there listening to them, it dawned on me, Aunty said,
"school records." I was about to say, "Aunty," but Mom said out loud,
"We are here, Jamie get your hand bag and let's go!"
I tried to say, "Mom."
But mom said, "We will talk about it as we shop. We are already behind,
come on now!"
