"I've thought of that, Dottie. In fact just last week when we were all
celebrating Sandra's second divorce I told her I'd started thinking of
something like that and she told me she had exactly the man. 'He'll ruin
you for all other men,' she said. 'I guarantee, Sheldon won't even know
he's inside you once this other guy's been there!'"
"Well, did you? And was he? Tell me!"

ended up. I mean, you married Connor for his money, not for love, you
never made a secret of that, not to me, anyhow. And Connor's still
supporting you maybe even better than before, the way the court
supervises his monthly payments to you. When you were still married to
him you'd barely ever see the leftovers from whatever he spent on his
girlfriends."
"That's true enough, Vera! You know, my attorney told me that if I'd
just stood still and let Connor hit me like he was threatening that day,
I could've charged domestic abuse and gotten three fourths of his net
worth and future income instead of only half?"
