Quietly I opened the kitchen door after coming in from the garden. Slowly
closing the door I turned and made my way towards the kitchen table. I
sat on a chair and removed my heels. Wiggling my stocking clad toes to
bring back some circulation to my feet after their confinement in the 2
inch heeled court shoes I had been wearing. I took a breath, I had done
it or so I thought.
I was lost in my own thoughts when suddenly the kitchen lights got
suddenly turned on. I had to blink a couple of times to get my eyes
adjusted. I dared to look over in the direction of the door only to see
my mother standing there with her hand still on the light switch. Well
it had to happen one day.
I had been pushing my luck lately. My trips out dressed as Jennifer had
been growing more and more frequent over the last few weeks. And I
couldn't seem to stop myself taking more and more risks of getting
caught. I was at a loss at what to say so I remained silent. I looked at
my mother watching as various expressions cascaded across her features.
I fidgeted slightly with the hem of my skirt absently due to my nerves.
Mum just smiled at me which was a little bit of a surprise.
"Well," she said, "aren't you a pretty sight. I've had some suspicions
that I really had two daughters and not a son and a daughter." Mum paused
before continuing. "I'm just a little upset that you didn't trust me
enough to talk to me about this. I'm also angry with you for sneaking out
of the house and for staying out past curfew," Mum took a breath, "I must
admit you look quite good as a girl. You're very pretty in fact."
I blushed.
Mum continued, "This must have been going on much longer than I suspected
for you to become so good with makeup and all. So what's my new
daughter's name?"
I had calmed down and my nerves had settled. "Jennifer," I said softly in
the voice I've been using whilst dressed as Jennifer. "My name is
Jennifer mum."
Mum just smiled. "Well Jenny it's late. So it's off to bed with you. Just
be aware that I expect to see Jennifer in the morning so we can talk
about this. Oh, and by the way both John and Jennifer are grounded."
There was a soft knock on my bedroom door. And it slowly opened. Tina my
sister stuck her head around the door. "Can I come in?" She asked, "I
need to know what mum said."
I nodded as Tina entered. "Well we've both been grounded, that's Jenny
and me." I had removed my wig which now sat on its stand. "And I have to
be Jennifer for mum in the morning. So we can have a long chat." I
continued to remove my makeup. "I knew I was going to get caught. I just
didn't expect it to be tonight." I looked at Tina. She had been my
teacher in all things feminine and I trusted her with a lot of my
secrets.
Tina looked at me. "I hope mum let's you continue being Jennifer. It
would be nice to have a sister. Even if it's only a part time one." She
laughed, "Oh mum asked me to give you this." I looked at her a little
puzzled. Then I saw what she had given me.
A pastel pink nightdress. From that moment I had a feeling Jennifer would
be around for a while longer.
