It was well past noon by the time Alex woke up; still tired from the
previous night. He had blanked out again and with a feeling of dread he
sat up and looked around the room taking stock of his current
situation. He had woken up in his bedroom this time and taking a quick
peak under the covers he found he'd fallen asleep naked. While not how
he normally slept, it was still an improvement over waking up in his
roommate's girlfriend's clothes.
Feeling relieved over his small step back towards normalcy he got up
out of bed, heading to the closet for something to wear. Upon opening
the door he noticed a few strange objects sitting on the floor of the
closet. Three shopping bags rested on the carpet in his room, all from
some of the nicer stores around town. His stomach felt like it had done
a back flip. Opening the bags he found exactly what he had been
dreading; dresses, a pair of high heels, women's underwear, even a set
of makeup. One small step toward normalcy, then two steps back. Did he
buy this stuff and why? None of these clothes would even fit him. What
the hell was going on with him? Taking a closer look at the items he
noticed something even worse, the makeup had already been opened.
Bolting over to his mirror his worst fears were confirmed, he was
wearing makeup; Lipstick, foundation, even some eyeliner. What the hell
was happening to him? He looked like a freaking drag queen with all
that crap on his face. The memories started coming back to him; he
remembered buying the clothes, but why? What was he some kind of
schizophrenic transvestite or something? He remembered putting on
makeup and actually looking pretty good, but the reflection wasn't his.
That didn't make any sense, how could he remember not looking like
himself? He looked that woman he saw a couple of nights ago, what was
her name? Selene? Yes, her name was Selene. He knew her name, but he
didn't know how he knew her name. Could it be they were the same
person? How would that even work? Like when he blacks out, she wakes
up? It made sense in a weird sort of way, but how would that even be
possible? How could a person be a man one second and then be a woman
the next? It didn't make sense, it shouldn't be possible, it made
absolutely no ....
Before he could finish that thought, his cell phone went off. It was
text message.

Alex spent most of the day worrying over whether or not to meet Lola.
She was clearly not right in the head, but all this weirdness started
after he met her. He needed answers and Lola seemed to be the only way
to get any. Though hesitant, he made his decision. He was going to have
to play her game if he wanted to know more.
The club was dark and hot from the continuously radiating body heat of
the hundreds of people inside. The club was absolutely packed with
people, it had cost him $100 just to get the bouncers let him in. How
was he supposed to find Lola in all these people? She may be a striking
person, but with this many people it wouldn't do much good. As he sat
down at the bar he tried to ignore the blaring techno and the near
seizure-inducing strobe lighting and focus her on finding her. Looking
up out of one of the buildings skylights he could see as the dark
orange colors of the afternoon beginning to fade as the sun went down.
Alex was beginning to feel increasingly uncomfortable with this place,
the music was too loud, the lights were too annoying, and this crowd
was too damn huge. He needed to get away for little bit and catch his
breath. Walking away from the crowd he headed for one of the nearby
bathrooms, stepping anxiously through the throngs of people. Stepping
inside, he locked the door behind him and leaned against the sink for
support. Breathing heavily, he turned on the sink and started cupping
water into his mouth in a futile attempt to cool himself off. His heart
felt like it was beating double time, pounding hard against his chest
almost in tempo with the booming music coming from outside. Something
out of the corner of his eye caught his attention; looking out a side
window he spotted the full moon rising once again to take its place in
the night sky, deep down he knows what was going to happen next. It was
time to go to sleep.
Feeling the pain and heat shoot through him he screamed, loudly. His
whole body felt on fire as he clutched onto the sink. His heart pounded
harder and harder in chest, making it difficult for him to breathe. The
bones in his hands began to crunch and shrink as his nails shot out,
looking more womanly by the second. He tried to walk away, get to the
door, but tripped as his own feet, now too small for his shoes.
Catching himself on all fours, he could feel the heat on his skin as
body hair fell off every inch. His face felt warm like putty as his
features began to shift. Warm lips plumped out as his jaw line receded
and the bangs of his hair grew out over his eyes. He could feel the
muscle mass of his body shrinking as his spine cracked and twisted
giving his body more flexibility. He felt the warmth spread down his
body as his ass and thighs began to expand. His growing rear pressed
painfully tight against once comfortably fitting jeans. The sweat
pouring off his skin makes it hard to stay up and he soon slips,

understood, but he had spent all day deciding whether to even see this

Well if Alex wasn't going to meet this woman, Selene would simply have
to suffice.
Stepping back into the club Selene was struck by the wave of sound and
lights erupting from the dance floor. It was different for Selene to
focus on finding Lola; the flashing lights, the pounding of the music,
so many beautiful people dancing. It was very tempting for her to
forget all about finding Lola and join them. She felt oddly drawn in by
the place and distracted by the sights and sounds. She didn't even
notice the lone figure sneaking up behind her, until someone grabbed
her arm and pulled her in close.
"Finally I find you," Lola said, "What took you so long?"

"Now, let me get a good look at you," she said grabbing Selene's chin,
moving her head about like a giant doll, "Yeah, you turned out pretty
good."
Selene was puzzled that Lola had found her so easily. "Wait, how did
you recognize me?"
"Oh, I can always tell when one of us is near, and it helps to look for
the one wearing clothing that doesn't fit. Now come on, I think you
need a drink."
Following her back to the bar, Selene's mind raced with questions. "Ok,
first things first, what am I exactly? How is this happening to me?"
Stirring on a martini, Lola replied with a question of her own, "Well
dear, what do you think you are?"
"Well, this all started when you bit me ... er Alex. And when the moon
is full I change from a man into a woman, so I guess that makes me some
kind of werewoman. Maybe a werelady?"
"I believe the technical term is gynethrope, but that's not important."
Lola interjected, passing a drink along to her.
Taking the drink in one hand another question came out, "Wait, you said
one of us. So you're like this too? You're really a man?"
"Well, it's really more a matter of perspective than anything. You may
see yourself as a man who turns into a woman when the moon is full, but
I see it more like I'm a woman who turns into a man whenever it isn't."
"Now you're just arguing semantics." She took a good, hard look at the
drink handed to her before taking a sip, "What's your point?"
"My point is you like this. You like being your own person, separate
from Alex. You can do things now he never would have thought of, you're
free and you should enjoy it. Now come on," Lola said getting up and
walking to the dance floor, "let's go enjoy your freedom."
The club was still enticing to Selene and Alex did have the day off
tomorrow anyway, she thought while downing her drink. This was the last
full moon of the month; she might as well enjoy it before she goes.
"Yeah, what the hell, let's."

It was late in the night when Selene returned home, Lola with her.
Lewis wouldn't be back until morning, so there was no need to be quiet.
"There's something I've been meaning to ask you all night," Selene said
learning against a doorframe, "why me? Why did you pick me or Alex or
whoever? You know what I mean?"
"I think I do," Lola answered stepping in close to her. "I picked you,
because when I saw Alex all alone in that bar all miserable, I just
knew he needed something. A chance to cut loose, a way to forget about
consequences and just do." She leaned in close to Selene, pressing warm
lips against hers sending a chill down her spine as she whispered in
her ear. "And honestly I think it turned out pretty well, don't you?"
Selene didn't answer, merely taking her by the hand with a small smile
and leading her to the bedroom, making sure to close the door on the
way in.

Alex woke up late in morning, his memory was clear this time. He
remembered going to the club, changing under the moon, meeting and the
spending the night with Lola. All the images seemed so clear to him,
even if he wasn't truly there. Lola was gone now; she or rather he must
have left while Alex was sleeping. For a while he just lay there in bed
staring up at the ceiling, pondering all the recent changes in the past
month. He had to admit, even though things seemed strange, he had to
admit he was starting to enjoy this new double life.
There was a knock on his door, followed shortly after by Lewis's head
poking through the door. "Hey bro, just got back from Carol's parents.
What were you up to?"
"Oh, uh not much. Met an old friend, went to a club, pulled a shift at
work."
"Cool, cool. See you later. I got to lie down, still tired from the
flight."
After making sure Lewis had left he checked his phone, finding there
was one missed text message.

says she might have left some clothes around here. You seen any?"
"Uh, no," he replied shutting the phone, "Don't know anything about
that."
Yep things are going to be very strange now; strange, but hopefully
