Chapter 2: The Struggle is Real
Two hours into his first day, and Evan found himself in heaven
Well...almost. He couldn't help it. He was surrounded by all of his
favorite things. The sexiest, and laciest bra's and corsets. The cutest
fishnets in colors and designs he hadn't even seen before. Not to
mention the panties.... It wasn't as if Evan was exactly a stranger to
dressing up in women's undergarments...quite the opposite actually. But
God if only he could be the woman he wished he was sometimes....
"Evan, will you come out here please?" Jacqueline asked, as Evan quickly
looked up to see her holding the door to store's stockroom open.
"I..err..Of course," he replied, folding the lacey pair of g-string
panties he had been clutching as fast as he could before heading out.
Jacqueline was standing next to a girl, who was slim and petite, with
long straight dark hair that fell past her shoulder blades. The girl had
large brown eyes that gave her a somewhat innocent appearance, even
though Evan could detect a small smirk in her expression as she was
looking him over.
"Evan, this is my daughter, Savannah," Jacqueline said. "She's going to
be showing you the ropes of the register today."
Savannah was currently dressed in a sheer black sweater top, along with
a red spaghetti strap top underneath over dark tight fitting jeans that
made for a striking contrast and emphasized her willowy frame even more.
Evan distinctly remembered her from two weeks earlier when she had rung
him for the bra and panties set that he had bought at the store, and he
had first noticed how attractive she was. He specifically remembered her
eyes, and how they reminded him of doe eyes since they were brown and
seemed so big, which were accented even further by the dark kohl liner
she wore around them....it gave her a somewhat of an edgy but subtle
look without being too dramatic. Evan also briefly wondered if Savannah
remembered him, and whether she thought it was weird that a guy had been
shopping for lingerie.
"So, let's get started," Savannah said, turning to look at Evan over her
shoulder as she walked towards the registers. "It's actually pretty
basic once you learn it," she went on, as she quickly logged into the
register and began demonstrating how to ring up a transaction.
"Well...basic or not. Math isn't exactly my best subject," Evan
admitted, hoping to lighten the mood, but suddenly found himself
wondering why he just said that, as he worried it just made him sound
stupid.
"Then it's a good thing these things have calculators I guess," Savannah
snorted in response. "You know how to use one of those, right?" she
teased with a smile.
"Oh, most definitely," Evan said, purposely over-pronouncing the last
word. "I'm actually a business minor, so I'd seriously be dead if it
weren't for calculators."
Savannah looked up, suddenly inquisitive. "Yeah? What's your major?" she
asked, sounding genuinely interested
"Well..." Evan ran a hand through his hair. "Communications, but I'm not
really sure what I want to do with it...yet."
A look of understanding registered on Savannah's face, as she nodded her
head. "Yeah I get it...I'm at a junior college, and haven't even decided
on my major yet, but I think I'm going to go for psychology."
"Really?" Evan asked. "How come?" Although he was trying to be polite by
keeping the conversation flowing, Evan realized he actually enjoyed
talking to Savannah, and that his curiosity had been sparked.
"Well...I like figuring out how people think. Like what makes them tick,
and how to get inside their head," she explained, as her eyes sparkled.
"Hmm ...sounds interesting," said Evan playfully, though her answer
intrigued him even further.
However, the two didn't have a chance to continue their conversation, as
several customers had just come into the store. Evan felt fairly
confident about handling the register, while Savannah assisted the
customers by showing them the different types of lingerie throughout the
store. Evan watched, secretly growing wistful and a bit jealous, as he
wished that he had the chance to do the same.
Ok...so maybe he was a bit more interested in actually buying the
lingerie for himself, but he also hoped that, at some point, he'd have
the opportunity to learn about the various products at Hidden Desires-
in order to be better informed about his job. Even though deep down, he
knew that it was unlikely that the customers would take a guy's advice
when it came to purchasing lingerie.
Little did they know....
"So...that'll be uh..$49.98." Evan found himself starting to fumble as
he finished ringing up his customer's purchase and his fingers grazed
the silky material of the sexy dark purple negligee.
Luckily, the customer, a girl who appeared to be in her early 20's,
seemed to distracted by her phone to notice, as she pulled out her
credit card and paid.
Savannah had looked up and was watching him at the register. Evan's eyes
met hers for a moment before he quickly averted his gaze.
"How are things going?" Jacqueline said with a smile, as Evan looked up
just in time to see her standing beside her daughter on the other side
of the register.
"He's actually doing really good," Savannah replied, also smiling at
Evan. "I think he's going to work out really well here."
"The stockroom looks great," Jacqueline agreed. "Everything is folded so
neatly...your mother taught you well, Evan. She must be proud."
Evan had been working at Hidden Desires for just over a week, and was
finding it harder and harder not to succumb to his true feelings. On the
one hand, he knew he had to play it cool at work...even though being
around the merchandise at his job was like a constant beckoning to his
feminine side to come out and play.
And play he most definitely wanted to!!! Most days, it took almost all
of his willpower to not spend his paycheck some of his favorite items to
save for his own fun later. After all, he could only use the excuse that
he was shopping for his girlfriend so many times, before someone grew
suspicion. There was such a thing as having too much lingerie....wasn't
there?
Evan's relationship with Chloe was another issue. Luckily, Chloe was
already aware of Evan's fetish and had never acted bothered by it.
Actually, that was part of the problem- she just seemed...indifferent.
Like she didn't care at all, which was starting to weigh on Evan's mind,
as he questioned whether he was really happy with the way things were
going. As it was, he still hadn't told her about his job, but that had
more to do with the fact that he knew he'd catch hell about working at
job that mainly had female employees.
"Hey Evan," said Katy, one of his coworkers, who less than subtly
managed to bump her hip against him as she passed by on her way out with
with Tonya, who also worked at the store. Katy was a 20 year old blonde,
with a bold flirtatious demeanor, and an apparent fondness of push-up
bra's from the looks of how her breasts were currently practically
spilling out of her tight pink shirt. In contrast, Tonya's had jet-black
hair that was cut into modern A-line bob that went well with Goth-punk
makeup and style in clothes.
"God, your girlfriend must LOVE having you work here," Tonya said with a
giggle, as she flipped back a strand of her short black hair.
"Seriously...I wish my boyfriend paid that much attention to what kind
of stuff women wear. He wouldn't be caught dead working in a lingerie
store."
Evan was actually getting used to the attention since it happened pretty
frequently with female customers, being the store's only male employee-
as Jacqueline had predicted. Evan wasn't sure if his female coworkers
actually liked him, or if it was more of just some kind of game for
them. In fact, the only one who didn't seem to outright flirt with him
was Savannah. Evan knew that she could be sweet, especially after
talking to her and having what started out to be an enjoyable
conversation on his first day- but Savannah also had this way of coming
off as aloof and reserved at times, especially when other girls were
around.
Evan quickly pulled his phone out his pocket to glance at the time.
4:54pm. He'd gotten in at 3, and was the only one in the store unti
Savannah got in, who was working the closing shift with him. Evan
started to busy himself by tidying up and refolding some of the items
that were displayed on tables around the store. Suddenly, he felt
himself stop short as his fingers began to tremble over a thong that
appeared to resemble a very small school girl skirt. The panties were
red plaid and had a small ruffle around the waistband that Evan imagined
would barely conceal anything...not that it mattered.
Evan could feel his heart beating faster. The school girl skirt was one
of his all-time favorites. He glanced around and began to hastily walk
over to the fitting rooms...panties in hand. He knew it was risky....he
could lose his job. For so many reasons. But he'd be quick..back before
anyone would even notice he was gone.
"Evan....where are you going?"

He froze to turn around to see Savannah, staring at him.
"I....well," as he nervously tried to scramble for an excuse. "I was
going to clean out the fitting rooms since the store is empty now."
"But you're not supposed to leave the sales floor alone since you were
the only one here," she pointed out.
Evan quietly breathed a sigh of relief. "Right...forgot about that."
"It's fine," Savannah said, apparently letting the issue go. "It's
actually 5, an you're due for a break so go ahead. I'll brief you on the
closing stuff when you get back."
"Sounds good. Thanks!" he said, as he turned around before she could see
the grin that had just spread across his face.
He couldn't believe his luck!! Talk about perfect timing!
