Chapter 1 *Present Day* The senior prom is a night that most girls and boys never forget. For 14 students at Winnisimmet High School, it will be the last time they are truly together before graduation. For the Finn Family ladies, it was the night they had dreamed about since they started 9th grade together. They were finally going to be leaving the nest and flying on their own. The, "Geeks" were all members of the science club and debate team which Stacy, Jaimie, and Courtney had all been part of. They treated the guys with respect when most others in the school ignored them, and enjoyed talking with them for hours as they prepared for competitions. They were the only ones in the school who didn't think that they were losers and helped them get seats on the student council, the guys then quietly campaigned for Jaimie to win the prom queen title with the blessing of Courtney and Stacy who accepted 2nd and 3rd place with smiles. Monica needed to take action no matter the cost. *Summer before 9th Grade* It had been a nice run in private schools, but Monica was forced to finally attend public school starting in 9th grade. Her daughters would survive, "Regular" school, she just had to finagle them into harder classes and let them show their stuff and use whatever means to keep ahead. The forced transfer to regular school was hard on Monica, she was already slated to be a cheerleader but now she had to actually earn a spot on the team. It was normally just a simple formality, but that year thanks to eight new girls joining the coach wanted them to show what they knew, what they could do, and what they had to work on. This angered Monica, normally Winnisimmet accepted any girls but this year was different and it worked against her. She was an alternate and would have been in their high school, but now she had to actually earn her spot. Jaimie tried hard to help, but when she learned from her mother that Jaimie was transgender Monica freaked out and tried to demand that she be kicked off the team. As school started, the two ladies fought one another with Christina growing frustrated by Monica's near constant badgering her to get at Jaimie. The second day of school Christina finally snapped, telling Monica off before going home early in tears. Monica was chastised by the team, earning her an angry snub by everyone and a warning from Hannah to back off or she was off the team. Monica stewed over the actions of the team. It was even worse as Christina had been the closest she had to a friend. Monica tried to appeal to this friendship but Christina countered with how little Monica had actually done as a friend and how much she had actually done to show she was just using Christina to get at Jaimie. This new Christina was full of energy. Monica learned it was thanks to the issues at the Labor Day cookout the team had and Monica missed out on because she had purposely been left out of. Her insistence on blaming Jaimie was laughed at, everyone knew Jaimie was innocent and the real reason was Monica being jealous of Jaimie's and the girls' friendships that Monica could never match. Her only solace was that she could get revenge without them knowing it. She alleged that Miles was getting help from them and not doing his own work as she had seen them doing it for him before practice. Mrs. Nunez didn't know that she wasn't on the cheerleading team anymore, she believed the lies and was hostile towards Miles in class allowing Monica to sit back and watch the fun. It was a small victory, but it was one that worked for her. Should Mrs. Nunez try to retaliate against her Monica could simply told her mother and get Mrs. Nunez to back down or she wouldn't support her against John and Jake when they sought to have her fired. When her plan to discredit Miles and the others didn't work quick enough, she started to plant rumors about the group but unfortunately for her got caught by Paige and Hannah. The duo were blunt and to the point: stop the rumors or have a miserable time in school. Monica gave in, their confrontation was in front of the entire school and caught the gaze of Jake making what she did after that subject to examination by him and putting a target on her back that her mother couldn't remove easily. No matter what she tried to do after that people ignored her. She had to endure weeks of scorn from the students and close scrutiny from the teachers. It didn't help that the boys were normally all over her causing the teachers to separate her from them and making her have to do her own work during class. Ms. Paula, her geography teacher, was the worst teacher at doing that. Monica had boys all over her and did all of her homework for her. During tests, she got answers handed to her via cheatsheets and subtle movements but it didn't fully work, she had to actually study several times or risk failing. At least she had some satisfaction. Mrs. Nunez was making Miles miserable which was affecting the other Finns especially Jaimie. Miles hid his troubles but Jaimie and her brother Michael worked through the troubles yet the more they worked with him the less Mrs. Nunez thought he did the work hurting Miles' reputation with her. On Halloween, Monica became the laughingstock of the school as she had to wear spare clothes the school kept on hand because she came to school dressed as a princess. The rules for the school were clear, only seniors could dress up but she ignored them in favor of trying to play her mother against them. It got worse as John Finn filled in for Ms. Paula for the day and sent her to the locker room to change, with Jake having his secretary ensure she actually followed the rule while she explained that her mother didn't dictate the school rules- Jake did. Humiliated but not beaten, her next strike came at the school dance that evening where she got a boy to try to break up Christina and Miles. She promised him sex but had no intention of ever giving it up to him, he was just a tool to be used by her and he didn't have a way of making her pay up afterward. The boy that passed them confessed that he wrote them out for her and got detention while Monica received a week's in-school suspension. Sean Beretta was covering it. He was blunt with her, she was on thin ice and was facing harsh penalties that her mother couldn't counter and actually faced expulsion if she tried her cheating trick again. He was not happy that she was abusing her mother's job to get away with her activities and swore that he'd personally see to it that her mother was fired if she used her mother that way again. That wasn't the worst of her punishment for cheating. She was forced to sit down with Ms. Paula, John, and Jake and undergo testing to see if she actually belonged in her advanced geography class alongside her classmates. It was horrible for Monica as she struggled with the most basic concepts and definitions and got every question wrong. It was even worse when she found out that it was a basic test that the remedial students had taken the week before and that she should have easily passed. Ms. Paula shook her head and silently cursed herself over missing the whole thing. Jake looked over the results and consulted with his secretary as well as the heads of the science, language, math, and English departments to see if she was doing the same in other classes. The results were similar for all but one class: Spanish. Beth Helena explained that the reason for her not coasting by on the work of others in Spanish was that it was impossible to fake as she had to actively participate in the verbal lessons and writing. Being a freshman who hadn't studied the language before it was not surprising that she was having a bit of trouble in some places but doing better in others. Each student in the class was at a different level of comprehension so far and she was no different than any others albeit she was running about a, "C" average for the class instead of the, "A" that she had been tentatively given by Mrs. Nunez. Ms. Paula examined Monica's work for geography, then the work of several boys around her and found they had done all the work for her at some point. It wasn't a one-time thing, Monica had cheated since the start of the year and coasted by with nobody noticing. As group work was encouraged she hadn't noticed it but given multiple boys were being used by Monica it was seen as cheating instead of working together, she hadn't done any actual work according to her notes and papers but as it was encouraged they couldn't directly discipline her for it. Monica got off with being removed from the advanced classes and placed in the remedial classes until she was able to show she didn't belong there. She was stuck with boys and girls who were trying hard to get out of the classes which led to her being ridiculed by her classmates the next day. John took no pride in telling Jeanie that she couldn't change what was being done as Monica had been caught in the act and escaped harsher punishments than she truly deserved due to the group work aspect. At home, she blamed it all on Jaimie and the girls. Jeanie calmly told her to shut up or she'd end up expelled and there wasn't anything she could do to save her. Jeanie was more upset that it reflected badly on her, the teachers at the elementary school gave her cold stares and whispered behind her back about her daughter cheating and brought up allegations that she had coasted along thanks to her mother's influence. It was partly true, she had used her sex appeal and hormone driven boys and girls instead of her mother back in middle school to get ahead. The nine Finn girls became central figures in the school as time went on. Monica loathed them all and complained to anyone who would listen about them. The boys were only interested in her sexually and gave her an ear but were busy ogling her barely within limits tight clothes than what Monica actually had to say to them. That spring Shea had gotten a hearing in front of the replacement for the judge who had overseen his initial divorce from Jeanie and who ruled against him in the custody issue. Judge Martha Perez read the transcripts of the custody case and laughed at the sheer idiocy of her former colleague. She offered a scathing review of the case which added fuel to the judge's already heated removal debate, Ricardo Ramirez and Sean had fought the man and won handily in the political arena but Judge Perez ensured that he received his just desserts in having him removed in public disgrace from the bench. Monica hated having to be forced to visit Shea. Her sister Rosalind was no better as the bitter divorce still lingered. Shea tried but it was a lost cause with Monica, while Rosalind barely acknowledged him. Chapter 2 *Senior Year, three weeks before the prom* Monica had to struggle to get people to vote for her. Word had gotten around that Jaimie was in the lead with Stacy and Courtney second and third and that Monica had no shot at winning no matter what. Try as she might, nobody would support her and she saw her vote count dwindle as other candidates started to get more votes pushing her further down the list. The ones who were leading the rumor mill were the juniors, the boys and girls attending alongside the seniors and who had their own prom court. Those were people she had humiliated or ignored for so long yet she needed help from the most just to keep up appearances in school. Some took great pride in seeing Monica struggle to get votes while others shook their heads in pity at the sight. Monica had to scramble but nobody was helping her out. Reed Pena, Jaimie's second-cousin and friend of Jaimie's brothers, had gotten his classmates to see that Monica was just a total sleaze who had done nothing but belittle and harass them for three years and who was only using them to get votes. Her mother was a great seamstress and with the help of the store that was supposed to sell her the dress they altered it to fit her body and rework some of the features to make it into a new dress. She was in tears as the girls showed how she looked, with Jaimie especially telling her that she looked beautiful in it. The Hermans, Beth and Ben, were going to be the lead chaperones but bowed out in favor of another couple who were unknown to the school. Some careful digging found out just who they were and infuriated Monica to the point of seeking out her mother only to be told to drop it before it backfired yet again. Jeanie knew she would lose badly if she tried to fight against the new chaperones. The two were well connected, well respected, and carried more clout in the union than she did. No matter what she did they would be attending and do so in style. It helped a lot that John Finn had been the one to coordinate their inclusion with the full blessing of the high school faculty and school committee. Jeanie was no fool- it wasn't worth the fight. She knew who one's father was and no matter how hard she campaigned to keep the couple from the prom, she would lose badly. Monica stewed over that issue for a day before being forced to give in before Jeanie had to actually follow her daughter's demands and cost herself everything- all to appease the angry Monica. The two ladies had drawn the line in the sand regarding Monica's inclusion and had most of the squad standing with them. Monica had done too much against the seven particularly Jaimie and to include her would mean open rebellion and the end of the team, if she was allowed back on after what she did to Jaimie the team would refuse to participate making the team break up. There was little choice, Monica was told she wasn't allowed on the team. Jeanie tried to force the issue but Shawn Xavier wasn't letting her bully him. He casually mentioned that it would be a shame that her candidacy for the union presidency was destroyed because she broke the one rule all teachers followed: using her position as a teacher to force others to do what she wanted. Jeanie gave in, while Shawn casually told her that Monica was going to be kept from other teams until she proved herself to them. Jeanie actually put her in her place by telling her it was her own undoing this time and she had to clean up her own mess for once. Monica focused on other things to pass the time, like getting Richard Samuels away from Jaimie. It was a futile effort, he only had eyes for Jaimie and didn't care for her reputation anyway. He saw Monica as another girl who was only interested in his penis not his brains or his humor, things that Jaimie loved about him and his friends greatly appreciated. It took all of his might to not confront her about her obsession. Richard appreciated that a girl saw him as sexy but would never stray from Jaimie. Monica was slowly gaining a reputation as a tease who used guys and never reciprocated their affections, multiple classmates had told Eric Vincent and George Daniels about Monica as it was widely known that she was going after Richard while having a huge grudge against Jaimie for no real reason. Monica finally cornered Richard the first day of school after the last bell. He was blunt and to the point, he angrily stated, "Leave me alone. I want nothing to do with you. I don't like you, I don't want any part of a girl who harms my girlfriend. And yes, she is my girlfriend. You can call me whatever the hell you want but back away from her. I won't abandon her for someone who wants a cheap fling before moving on to the next idiot willing to put out." Monica angrily moved on as the girls laughed and whispered about her trying to steal Richard from Jaimie. It stung Monica hard that he saw right through her, she did want him for sex and nothing else. It was all about the chase and not about him, she just wanted him because Jaimie had him. At home, she was fuming again over being humiliated in front of the entire school yet again for trying to go after Jaimie. Rosalind tried to ask what was going on only to be growled at and pushed away. Rosalind shook her head in anger, her sister was getting to be a bitch that she didn't like one bit. Rosalind confided in Shea about what was going on and didn't like where her sister was going. She was different than her and could see some of what she was doing as being idiotic but felt some of the same feelings about wanting to be on top. Monica and their mother had ambitions and plans, Rosalind liked to be powerful but not at the cost of being all alone like her sister. Shea kept her spirits up, if Monica or Jeanie became violent he'd take her in and fight for her removal from the situation but didn't hold out much hope that Jeanie would do anything about Monica directly. Rosalind sighed at hearing that, he cared about her enough to know how things really were and offered an ear which was more than her mother was doing regarding Monica's obsessions. Shea could see the signs that Rosalind was a bit too much like her sister and would only take a little nudge from Monica in either direction to become like Monica or becoming a decent human being, he hoped it was the latter but with Monica and Jeanie, it was more likely the former. After her confrontation with Rosalind, Monica plotted to get Richard back for spurning her so publicly. Her only hope was preying on the insecurities of the school by claiming he was gay and actually dating one of the guys on the football team. There were plenty of candidates, particularly among the freshmen players who had no way of retaliating against her for the falsehoods. Jaimie would be directly impacted by this rumor. Monica knew that Richard would react badly and fight it by trying to get more affectionate towards her but that wasn't going to help. Any spurning by her would both humiliate him and help spread the rumors more giving Monica a double win. The next day she started to spread the rumor around school. Her first attempt at spreading it failed though as she went to Reed Clarence(the future Reed Pena) who was the worst possible person in their school to approach about anything. Monica was so isolated in her own privileged world that she didn't know that Reed Clarence was the biggest loner in middle school and the one person nobody would talk with outside of class thanks to his family's horrid reputation! Reed listened politely then ignored Monica. She tried to tell him off but he continued ignoring her, looking over his homework and writing out a few things for biology. He calmly told her that he wasn't going to do her dirty work to spread false rumors and she needed to get away before his reputation tarnished her own already damaged reputation. Monica growled at him as snickers were heard over her trying to use Reed for rumor-mongering. Monica glared at the girls who laughed loudly at her as Monica fled in anger. Reed just shook his head and walked to class, not bothering to look up as he was the next target for the girls' gossip. As the day wore on, nobody would bother listening to Monica. The few who entertained her laughed in her face at what she was trying to say. By the end of the day, Monica was furious and was going to harm one of the girls until Randy Leeds sent her to the principal's office for disturbing his class. Randy knew full well what she was doing and emailed her mother to tell her to get Monica to back off of the rumors or she was going to face punishment. Jeanie tried to threaten him but Jake, who was CCed on the emails, countered her threat with a warning that Monica was treading on thin ice already. Jeanie said she'd fight any discipline but Jake countered that with showing that Monica was already a known trouble student who had targeted classmates already and to create false rumors of the magnitude of the ones Richard was facing she was going to face hard suspensions that year that would only lead to expulsion if she kept at it. Randy was no fool, he was in contact with his colleagues who were working hard to ensure that Jeanie was facing tough fights over her candidacy for the presidency. The problem was the consensus choice for president was John Finn and he refused to run, stating he wasn't built for politics only ensuring the kids' futures were safe. That left them without a viable candidate to counter Jeanie's power and with some of her supporters being shady and not afraid to force their views he feared she would win. At home, Jeanie immediately slapped Monica for what she had done to her. Monica didn't respond, knowing that her mother was going to force her to lay low until she got what she wanted then go back to ignoring her until it was convenient to pretend to care about her. Rosalind, though, got her full ire and received a slap from Monica who yelled at her for not warning her that their mother was angry. Rosalind slapped her back, then called her father to ask to stay with him to get away from their aanger. She honestly told him that she couldn't stay there when they were in their angry moods and that they were going to be a problem for her. It pained her to do it but she knew she was about to get worse from the two of them as they got further into the school year and things didn't go their way again. Shea agreed and called Jeanie, telling her that he had video of her slapping Monica that would be used against her if she tried to fight him on Rosalind getting away from her. Jeanie tried to counter but it was clear that Rosalind was angry and wanted out of the house fast. Monica growled that she should let the runt go, she was holding them back and she didn't have to worry about her ruining their lives anymore. At Shea's house, she got settled in and immediately put to work finishing her schoolwork. She hated it but it was either that or go back to Jeanie. Rosalind erred on the side of caution and listened to him. Shea contacted Ricardo Ramirez and got a change of custody drafted with an email of the video sent to his friend at the Department of Children and Families on his behalf. Monica was going to get visited by them while Jeanie was left to cover her tracks if possible. DCF wouldn't let her get away easily, but Jeanie had a few tricks up her sleeve to get the girls to lie to protect her reputation. The next day in school, Rosalind was taken aside by her principal, Ms. Mead, and angrily ripped to shreds to the point of crying. She got the message, lie to DCF or her life would be miserable from now on. To further the point, Ms. Mead had her teacher single her out for disciplinary action for faked the reasons making her out to be a lazy student rather than the straight-A student she really was causing her classmates to laugh at her all day. Anne Connors, the DCF social worker sent to investigate on Monica's behalf, met with Both girls. Monica lied while Rosalind told the truth, then recanted and lied later into the interview. Monica gave her a serious look which caused her to say she never saw her mother hit Monica and the video was a fake. Monica then took her aside and threatened her with even worse if she ever did that again while Anne wrote out her report, causing Rosalind to cry. Anne informed Shea about the results and felt that the girls were holding back but there just wasn't any proof. The video was called into question but without Rosalind confirming that she shot it and it wasn't faked they had nothing further to go on. The girls were staying put but Jeanie was on her radar now and would be so until the girls turned 18. At the teachers union's annual election meeting Jeanie was met with no opposition as John refused to run. Randy Leeds didn't have the time to run and even so Jeanie had her people ready to work against him. Jeanie won by default and immediately fought back against John's changes but was unable to get any movement as the people supporting it were entrenched and the legalities clear and concise. To remove the changes brought issues with the courts that would harm the union and the city which hurt them all- particularly Jeanie, who had the most to lsoe. Nobody wanted to admit that the target was clearly Jaimie. Jeanie was actively working to get her kicked out of the school with those in the union who knew her fighting back. It was tough when John, Beth Helena, Ben Herman, Sean Beretta, Randy, Ms. Paula, Zeke Williams, Vance Taylor, Ivan King, and Cynthia Eagleson were fighting back. Strong teachers from three different schools were a tough combination to fight against especially ones who were backed up by the Finns and their legal might, that's not counting John himself leading the charge with his own financial clout behind him. Jeanie lost the battle before it started. She had nothing to counter the might of that group with even more people throwing their weight behind them as the Finn kids met more and more teachers and made friends with more and more influential people in the city. Jaimie, as it stood, had the police and fire departments on her side not to mention half the city council and most of the major employers, Jeanie had nobody except her own supporters and none of them, except her, actually lived in the city nor really had ties outside of their teaching jobs. John was disappointed that nobody would stand up to fight her, but Randy had legitimate reasons for not getting involved as he hated politics and others were too old to effectively lead or too young to avoid being manipulated by Jeanie and her proxies. Randy simply couldn't find the time with his two youngest kids graduating college and his oldest needing him to help out with babysitting at home, his family always came first and John was a staunch believer in that ideal. Jeanie had what she had been coveting and was going to use it to her full advantage. Her first victim was Rosalind's teacher who would have to explain why she was disciplined for gossiping about the new tranny girl attending school. Rosalind was an active participant but not the actual instigator, but she still got disciplined which Jeanie wanted removing. Ms. Mead gladly supported the removal and threatened the teacher with being fired. The teacher then countered with a hard stance that if she did she'd have her ass handed to her by the union no matter what Jeanie said. Jeanie tried to threaten her back but made the mistake of doing so in front of Ivan King who just smirked and explained that if she tried to she'd find herself removed after just two days for violating their rules and abusing the position. Jeanie backed down but vowed revenge against him. Jeanie turned her attention to easier pickings and left Rosalind alone to face whatever her punishments were alone. Rosalind did better but still had to deal with Ms. Mead's constant scrutiny. Ms. Mead had her targeted and would ensure that she went to middle school with a bad reputation that nobody could counter, what she put in her file she knew would not be ignored and would cause Dorothy Vega or Alice Rodriguez, the principals, to ensure that Rosalind had a rough three years with them. Monica was relieved that her mother was going to help her with her Jaimie problem. Their first target was Jaimie's involvement with the student government which Monica had coveted but Jaimie had blocked due to having more supporters. Jaimie wasn't aware of this, she simply ran to represent her class while Monica wanted the power that went with it including a say in who participated in the school dances and events like the annual field day. Jaimie was elected class representative while Claire Peterson won sophomore class president. Monica had support from the boys in their year which gave her a leg up but Jaimie won outright with sheer numbers. It stung badly but Monica couldn't do anything about it without her mother's help. Monica had to endure countless dates with guys who she had no interest in and at the end of the night had to give them a, "Special" gift in the form of oral sex. She actually enjoyed that part, and the boys weren't that small so it was giving her pleasure to see them as well. Monica's exploits were near legendary, with the boys happily telling their friends about her skills and what she would do for them while ensuring that nobody talked badly about her. Jeanie ignored what her daughter was doing with the boys, it was building a political power base and in doing so she ensured that she wasn't going to suffer as she did the year before. The guys went out of their way to protect her and even did her homework while making it look like she did it so she avoided the humiliation of having the teachers claiming she cheated again. She still did her own tests and studied, but the boys did all of the other work and ensured that anyone who said anything about it was shut down. Her grades weren't that good but she wasn't in danger of failing, just a solid, "D" grade. When she tried to move on to the freshmen to get them to go for her she found that they were tougher to crack. She actually found a few good looking among them with Reed Clarence as the best of them. His reputation as being the pariah of the freshman didn't matter to her, he was handsome and she even swore that he could be the one to, "Claim" her virginity if he was as big as she suspected him to be. The snag with that was Reed had the hots for an 8th grader named Jessie Lawrence. He refused all of Monica's advances and when it became clear that he was actually not interested she took it as a challenge. He had to finally tell her off once she became overpowering, with Reed happily telling her, "I don't like you, I never liked you, and I don't want any part of you especially not your virginity. I would rather die a virgin than give up mine to you." Reed walked off in disgust. He knew she was turning into a slut and knew that she only wanted him for what he was hoping to save for his wife. He wasn't like his brothers, he may have lusted after beautiful women but Monica wasn't his type and he could do a lot better in his mind than her. The rejection by Reed hit Monica hard. It only got worse when word got around that Reed Clarence turned her down hard and humiliated her. She had to go on the offensive but was stopped by Beth Helena pulling her aside and insisting that she temper her libido before she ends up in a delicate situation especially with someone she didn't actually like. Beth felt pity for her, she understood that she was overcompensating for her mother's neglect and influence and was seeking any sort of friendship and affection even if it was the wrong one. Beth knew she wouldn't listen but she knew that others were aware of her actions and were there to help if need be. It only caused Monica to lay low for a bit and focus on her sister's life while making sure that Reed regretted spurning her. Rosalind was doing better in school but was constantly on the lookout for Ms. Mead and other teachers. She barely spoke outside of class and closed herself off from her classmates. None of them bothered to ask why she was acting odd, they were used to her mother's actions and had in the past been threatened by both her and Ms. Mead making them reluctant to know anything more than Rosalind was willing to tell them out of fear of their own safety. Ms. Mead hated the scrutiny that Rosalind brought her and was actively seeking to be rid of her. She got her chance when she caught Rosalind out of class but with a note. She ripped it up and sent her to the office then claimed that she was going to be suspended or moved to another school, she had to make up her mind then and there or face worse punishment. Rosalind chose to move. Ms. Yvette Prince, her new principal, looked over her records then shook her head at the notes. When she read between the lines she saw that here were no actual problems and Mead wanted to be rid of a problem that didn't exist. In her new class, Rosalind was tense but her teacher assured her that she was not about to let her mother dictate what she did in her own classroom and if she tried to overstep her authority she'd be held accountable for her actions, giving her some relief. Jeanie wasn't involved, she just signed off and told Yvette that she was watching, getting a sneer and terse, "As will I. Only unlike you, I have actual support. Mine actually comes with respect and knowing my colleagues and members of the city council and school committee. And don't think just because you are friends with Mead or Hogan or Uxbridge you will get away with whatever you want. You won't." She dared Jeanie to go further. Ivan King separated them while Yvette's secretary gave Jeanie a warning to back away or she'd regret it. Jeanie stepped back, but said she'd pay for her actions earning a quick, "Just try it, I have 30 years here with members of both the school committee and city council knowing me since they were kids and my union is a lot more powerful than you and not afraid to fight back against your thugs." Jeanie left in disgust but without recourse. Rosalind was assured she was alright and nothing would happen to her further which was further emphasized by Ms. Mead being called and told that her various comments would be reported to the superintendent making her have to explain herself to him. She ran off in anger with Yvette proudly telling her secretary, "I give her a couple of weeks before she finally snaps. She will do something that she can't defend against and get fired." Rosalind ignored her sister and mother for the next month. Monica herself was battling against Jaimie's supporters and losing at every turn. She had scored herself a spot on the student council by taking over for someone who moved away but every attempt to get Jaimie booted were met with roadblocks making her even more frustrated. Jaimie wasn't going anywhere. Monica tried every which way to get people to see that she was terrible for the school and they would suffer by having her there but each of her ideas was unique, original, and well thought out. Monica was always the one to debate her on whatever Jaimie brought up and each time Jaimie's debate prowess and preparedness overrode whatever bigoted, hateful comments Monica brought making her out to be the villain to Jaimie's hero in each. Jaimie's debate skills were legendary even before she arrived at the high school. Monica didn't believe that the, "Freak in a skirt," as she always called Jaimie, had done half of what was claimed she had done in 6th grade but no matter how many times she was shown the video or heard recollections from people who were there she simply didn't listen. Randy simply told her that she was out of line and if she didn't want to believe the truth then it was her own fault but nobody had lied and it was a shining moment in the history of the school. Randy got a huge round of applause to which he proudly told the student council that he enjoyed the debate and was proud that someone who had no preparation time had been able to both disarm his arguments but also show that it was easily countered. Monica scoffed but Randy shook his head and started their next order of business while Jaimie was left oblivious to Monica's clear disgust. Randy stopped Jaimie after the meeting and asked why she put up with Monica's antics. Jaimie sighed and admitted, "She isn't the first nor will she be the last to dislike me for no good reason. I don't know why she doesn't like me but she doesn't and I can't fix it so I just have to deal with it and move on." Randy nodded his head while making sure to note that Monica was starting to become just as bad as she was the previous year. He kept a close eye on her in class but she never went over the line and whenever she was taking her tests she did the work without any notes. Her hands were always checked and her bag and books handed over so she had nothing to hide making her previous cheating issues hard to prove that year. During Thanksgiving week Monica again tried to get close to Richard. This time she was shut down by Sean Beretta who was happy to point out that he was busy all week with various activities. Monica tried to tell him off but Richard happily told her that he was volunteering at soup kitchens with his mother and taking Jaimie out to the movies and shopping for his aunt and cousin leaving her speechless while Sean grinned on. Monica tried to go after Reed again but he was gone. She waited all week to get in contact with him but he didn't answer her emails or Facebook requests. She finally heard something from him via Rosalind, who told her that he nearly died in a fire with his little brother Kevin and wasn't going to be in school for two weeks and that she needed to stop pining for a guy who hated her. Monica was going to do something to her to vent her anger at Rosalind daring to talk back to her, to which Rosalind happily said, "Try something. Hit me. Mom's friends won't save her this time, I'm not going to lie to save her ass. Go ahead, it'll send you to jail while mom has to explain to DCF why I have a bunch of bruises and a black eye." The line was drawn as Rosalind defiantly stood her ground making Monica back down. Rosalind found new energy and realized she was just as powerful as her sister and mother if she stood up to them. She could use this to her advantage, she could make people do what she wanted with a simple threat. It was what her sister and mother did best, she was tired of being pushed around and would be her own person even if it meant being a bully to others. She'd be her own bully, just like her sister and mother. Monica bided her time until she could get her sister back. She would restore order in the condo, she just had to find a way of doing it without her sister knowing she was being used. She found herself the best chance when Reed and his brother went back to school. Reed's brother Kevin was transferred into Yvette's school and assigned to a class alongside people who knew him outside of school. The kicker was that Kevin was also transgender like Jaimie and was now attending school as a girl named Kylie. Monica manipulated her sister through subtle suggestions that made her get other girls in her school to bully the newly dubbed Kylie leaving Rosalind to take the fall when things backfired on them and Rosalind got the blame. The new Rosalind never noticed the manipulation until she was suspended for a week by Yvette for a fight with the girls over their treatment of Kylie and her supporters. Rosalind glared at her sister, who proudly told her, "I have five years on you. I know every dirty trick in the book. Mom taught them to me and I was going to teach them to you once I graduated but you stepped out of line so you won't get them. You will have to earn them back, maybe in a year or two you will get them back." Reed returned to school but was surrounded by a group of people who Monica hoped he would never get involved in. The Finn Family 18 enveloped him into their group, keeping him close and ensuring that he didn't have a chance to be alone. Eric and George got close enough to her to tell her that he wasn't interested in her in any way, making her angry that the two small geeks had dared to speak to her in the first place let alone in that way. She was all smiles as Reed was humiliated by his English teacher and ran off in near tears. She didn't like that he had accidentally caused the man to be fired, he actually was a great teacher for her and the only one who didn't say anything about her using boys to get her work done. Mr. Sky actually said she was going to be a great looker when she grew further, making her heart flutter even if it was creepy to hear it from a guy in his 40s. John told him off for saying such a thing to a student and had Mr. Sky reprimanded with the school attorney having harsh words with him until her mother stepped in to defend him and make him back down, but not far enough to off tat he wasn't under scrutiny of state investigators. John and she clashed while Mr. Sky escaped without punishment but told that he would be on a short leash in the future and if any students had accusations that he was out of line or being sexually explicit again he was gone, which Reed had accidentally caused to go into effect the day of his return. She held a grudge against Reed for the next three months. He was not joking about having zero interest in her body- in fact, he was head over heels in love with Jessie Lawrence that Monica had to leave the January dance early because of the scene the two were making on the dance floor with their cuteness. She went home with another couple of boys and ended up spending the night with them, losing her virginity and giving them a night they'd never forget. It turned out that they were actually gay and fighting their feelings for one another. She was just a convenient distraction but once they were all together they lost all semblance of it being normal and went at it with one another once she had gotten herself satisfied. They were good and thankfully they wore condoms, but it was still a bitter pill to swallow for her as they came out the following Monday and her going home with them had gotten notice making her a laughingstock yet again. Reed fulfilled a need in her as Monica redirected her hatred for Jaimie towards him. She just wasn't as combative towards Jaimie, she simply ignored her and barely participated in the government meetings. Jaimie didn't mind it one bit, Monica was in her own little world and if it meant she was targeting someone else so be it. Reed could handle himself and he had the other Finn Family members to help him out if she became an issue to him. He just ignored Monica as he always did. That wasn't to say that Monica didn't pull her normal pranks to get back at Jaimie. Throughout the winter and spring she had hired several boys to put used tampons in her locker and got big laughs from the students in the school, particularly those who were looking for a reason to take cheap shots at one of the Finns. Nobody knew who was doing it but it was an open secret that Monica was behind it. They were her own used tampons which she was happy to give to the boys as she ensured that they got to see her remove them, giving the boys a free show while also ensuring that Monica got a little action from the boys as their natural reactions made her give in to her lust for oral sex with the boys. The boys kept quiet about what was going on and only expanded beyond the first two boys once someone caught on that they were the ones behind the prank. Monica happily let more boys join the fun, she enjoyed it and the fact that they didn't care for Jaimie helped a lot. The tampon bit got her some notoriety as the months went on and led to more and more pranks against Jaimie by others. The pranking quickly evolved away from Jaimie when sever of the boys were caught and immediately ratted on Monica. She was caught red-handed with a bag of them in her locker and forced to endure a long session with her mother and Jake as she tried to justify it. Jeanie tried to use her office to get at Jake for humiliating her and slandering her daughter for the boys' actions but it backfired on her immediately. The boys recanted thanks to some discrete payments from Jeanie leaving Monica to get away without punishment. At home, Jeanie slapped her face and told her that she almost cost her job, Monica countered that it was her own arrogance that did it and if she slapped her again she would cry to DCF that she was abusing her which would not only cost her presidency- it would cost her freedom. Jeanie gave in and left it alone. Monica knew she had to do something else and opted to go out for the school play to make a run at one of the boys in it especially as the drama boys were good looking that year. It didn't matter that she did poorly in Shakespeare, she would do whatever it took to get a good part albeit one without too many lines. It turned out that Stacy Lopez won the lead of Juliet alongside Scott Nelson's Romeo, a match that was laughed at by the school as being a forgone conclusion that the notorious lovebirds would make a great leading couple. To her anger, Reed won the role of Tybalt while she got stuck as one of the supporting ladies with a few lines and several costume changes required of her. She was forced to focus on what she needed to do at all times making her upset that she wasn't just going to stand around and do nothing as she tried to look pretty for the crowd. Reed ignored her and was focused on the lines he had to perform. Monica tried her hardest to throw him off of his game and mangle his lines but it actually turned out to be the worst thing she could do as the play's hotheaded Tybalt was exactly what she was making Reed into. Nobody realized that she was doing it on purpose, the other performers on stage thought Monica was trying to help Reed which Reed refused to acknowledge and quickly dropped when asked. In between scenes Monica was constantly bugging him about his sister Kylie, continuously calling her Kevin instead of Kylie. She had the most hurtful jokes about Kylie, from her losing her balls in the fire to her looking like her oldest brothers in drag. Reed tuned her out but after the third day of badgering and insulting Kylie the play's director overheard her remarks and kicked her out. He finally understood where Reed's anger and frustration were coming from and had him see that it was helping fuel his performance and that he should find something better to fuel him as Monica was no longer going to be involved in the production. Reed turned it around and told him that he was quitting the play, it wasn't worth it to him. He left in disgust while the rest of the cast did the same. Word spread quickly that Monica had ruined the school play. Reed didn't talk about it, Stacy and Scott refused to even acknowledge the play, and the director had to scramble to find replacements. Stacy and Scott returned once a new director was found and after a long talk with Kylie Reed returned to hugs and praise for doing the right thing for his sister. Monica was humiliated and defeated by the school yet again. She had failed to do anything successful all year and Reed was only making her feel worse. He was getting the last laugh, as the school knew just why Monica was kicked out of the play and she had to endure whispers and angry stares at her for the rest of the year while the production went on to be their best in years. Reed had won without knowing they had been battling. He was the one that got away, even if he didn't want her. Monica gave in and would move on to someone else next, hoping that the incoming freshmen would have easier pickings and the right boy for her. Chapter 3 *Senior Year, the week before the prom* Jeanie was getting anxious about the prom. She had set her sights on Monica being the prom queen and lording it over her former colleagues, showing that her daughter was better than any of their children. She hoped that all of the people she had grown to hate over the years were impressed and saw her view about certain people, especially about that wretched Jaimie Finn. Knowing that Monica had no actual shot at even making it into the prom court it was eating at her to the point of making her wish harm to Jaimie and her friends but she reined herself in and prevented herself from doing something that she couldn't sweet talk herself out of. Monica was a lazy student who wasted her four years and had suffered a great deal of anger, ridicule, and frustration over simply being unable to become the queen of the school that Jeanie envisioned her to be. No matter what she did it always backfired and frequently required her mother to bail her out and bribe or threaten whoever tried to intervene against Monica's actions. Monica was never at fault, it was always someone else doing something against her and taking the blame even when she was caught red-handed by multiple witnesses. Prom was the worst. Jaimie winning was an abomination in her eyes. Jeanie was deep in thought about how to deal with her but no matter what she came up with it was always led to Monica and her having to do something drastic to get rid of Jaimie and by default, the rest of her friends. Monica would not know what was going to happen, the less she knew the better. It was her last chance for revenge against the girl who deserved it for harming her daughter's life for so long. Her first line of thought was to try to prevent Reed Pena from attending the prom. His date was just a sophomore, she had no right to be there in the first place let alone going with a junior. This would be tough, but it was doable with some forceful words with people she knew she could manipulate. Her next move was to get it released to the press that a boy was going to attend the prom in a dress. Jaimie Finn deserved the ridicule the press would dish out, in fact, it was well earned in her mind. The press would force the city to bar Jaimie from attending making the vote nullified. This would then cause Jaimie's friends to refuse to attend making Monica the prom queen by default. All that remained was to get Monica a date. This would be tough as the boys in the junior and senior class hated Monica with a passion. Monica would require some outside help, someone who had no ties to the school. It wouldn't matter to her where the date came from so long as she had one and she showed up in style- as long as she could lord it over her classmates it was alright in Monica's eyes. *Late August, Junior Year* Over the summer Jeanie had gotten the city into an uproar over the threat of a strike. She thought it would be a good idea at the time that she would make it known how far the union was willing to go to get all of their demands met while ensuring that the press was on her side. The problem was that she hadn't seen the actual contract and once it was revealed to the press she was ripped to shreds by critics and other unions for making bold claims without facts and trying to blackmail the city into getting what she wanted not what the union needed and earned. To make things worse, every member of the union was against the strike. Jeanie tried to assure them that it was needed but nobody supported it. She had to make due with whatever the offer was now, the city knew they wouldn't strike and unless it was highway robbery the union would quickly give in. Jeanie had cost them thousands without ever knowing what she was going to lose. John Finn had actually seen the offer thanks to his pseudo-uncle and close confidant Louis Reagan. The union was getting exactly what it wanted and with a modest raise for all. The extras that weren't asked for but would be an issue later were now going to be taken away with what was needed given to them. John shook his head at the contracts. She cost them hundreds of thousands in perks while getting them nothing in return. She could have touted having signed the best contract in the state with the city but instead got an average contract signed and had nothing to actually show for her threats. Her presidency was turning into a disaster and it was just starting. At home, Jeanie took her anger out on her daughters. She didn't hit them but she ensured that they were stripped of all allowances and forced to work hard doing chores while she oversaw their punishments. It was starting to rub Rosalind the wrong way while Monica simply ignored Jeanie's antics and plotted her annual revenge against Jaimie Finn and her friends. Jeanie held Monica's trump card to get her to stay in line and do as she wanted, Monica's birth control pills. Monica was out with guys every night and had slept with half of the single boys in her school since her getting kicked out of the school play. Jeanie knew she was becoming promiscuous and held the one thing that could ruin her daughter's future outright in her hands and had Monica where she wanted her disabling any control Monica had in their relationship. Monica was having constant issues with the boys. They were starting to bore her and she needed a new challenge. She was setting her sights on the newest boys, the incoming freshmen who she had willingly volunteered to mentor for extracurricular notation- in reality, it was to see who would be her newest notch on her bedpost and maybe a potential boyfriend. Two of them caught her eye immediately, Thomas Gault and Donald Lee. Donald was the usual young, clumsy, timid guy who was afraid of his own shadow but had a handsome look that he hid from others while Thomas was the strong, confident football player with the best body among the underclassmen. She had her targets for the year and if she played things right, she would get a little revenge on the Finn ladies as Thomas would be leaving his girlfriend/Jaimie's cousin Rebecca for her. Donald was the easier target. He was new to the city, had no clear friends, and was trying his hardest to stay unnoticed by all. He was perfect for the predator that Monica had become. Almost immediately she hit a snag as he and the other freshmen were introduced to one another at their orientation to get to know the other members of their cluster. He and another new freshman, Francesca White- Clark, hit things off immediately and it didn't take much to see that the two were acting a bit too close. They had chemistry and shared caring glances with one another as they listened to the juniors and seniors talk. What was worse, she was a cheerleader which Monica would never be! Monica again tried out for the team, only to be turned away as soon as she showed up for the tryouts by Courtney Lawrence who was the new co- captain alongside the despicable Jaimie Finn. Monica never got a chance to show her moves or flexibility, Courtney pulled her aside and told her to go home as she had long since shown that she was not what the team wanted nor needed especially as she was hostile to Jaimie without reason. Jaimie didn't have to say a word, she simply shook her head in disappointment at Monica's stupidity. Jaimie added, "You could have joined this year once Hannah and Paige graduated but you have done nothing but act out against our family and friends. I don't hate you but I don't believe that you are going to be the kind of Inferno cheerleader that should wear the uniform." Monica did the only thing she could do, she stormed off vowing to get revenge against Jaimie but made the mistake of doing so in front of Shawn Xavier who happily told her that she was not going to be allowed to join any sports teams and may get banned from all extracurricular activities for her actions. Monica was going to try to say something but thought best not to get suspended again for something someone else had caused her to do. She later found out that Jaimie wasn't the only, "Tranny freak" to be on the team. An incoming freshman named Reyna Toro joined the team and unlike Jaimie, she was complete, "Down below". It infuriated Monica, she ranted and raved about them to her mother but Jeanie knew that there was nothing that could be done about either especially as Reyna had even less against her than Jaimie since she had an actual vagina whereas Jaimie still retained her penis. Monica fought the only way she knew how- with her boys. The boys were hitting constant roadblocks whenever they tried to get dirt on Reyna, with them constantly being told to stop by their classmates. They were shocked to learn just how connected Reyna was and that she had a lot of money in her bank account making her one of the richest people in school. Monica thought she could use this against Reyna but Reyna was too well guarded and with Jaimie and the others around her she was untouchable. Even the boys were turned away, Reyna had no interest in them and those who tried thought that there was something off about her as she and another freshman named Rachel Sylvester were always together and very affectionate but never sexual. As much as she wanted to take down Reyna she couldn't and after an attempt to get at her via covert rumors died down fast and resulted in her computer getting destroyed she backed away in shame Monica turned her sights back to Donald and what she could do to get him in bed. Monica noticed that he was always in the library and never spoke to anyone anywhere. At lunch, he was always alone but ate quickly in order to spend the rest of the time in the library or classroom. She tried to talk with him in both places but was quickly run out by the librarian who didn't appreciate her innuendos and foul language which was clearly making Donald uncomfortable. John Finn told her firmly that she was to stay away from Donald from now on or he would ensure that not only was she suspended, she would get expelled for sexual harassment as what she was doing was well over the line towards harassment as the poor boy had no interest in her at all. At home, Rosalind stewed over the fact that nobody in her new school would listen to her thanks to the antics of Ms. Mead the year before. Monica found her outlet for her frustrations and decided now was the time to teach Rosalind what she learned from their mother to use people the way Monica had used guys to get what she wanted. It would take a while, but Monica would do a thorough job turning her little sister into someone she could be proud of. Rosalind listened intently, if her sister was trying to teach her then she must have finally reached where she had been before the DCF incident. Despite their friction, she loved her sister and looked up to her with affection even if she didn't like some of what she did. She despised their mother but she loved Monica and it showed to her that Monica was living up to her word as she had said she'd teach her all that she knew when Rosalind was ready to learn. Monica spent weeks working with Rosalind to hone her skills at manipulation, extortion, enticement, and thievery giving her constant lessons and corrections as they went along. She learned just who to target, who to use, and who was out of her league. Nobody was off limits though, she just had to see how much blow-back each person had first before she went at them and have a plan to get around potential fallout and have patsies in place to take the heat for her. They started small and built up over time, with Rosalind getting high praise from Monica over her selections and subtle actions. By the end of October Rosalind was just as Monica had been at the same age. Rosalind had her targets and her patsies all set, all she needed as a big event to make her impact and that was the fall dance. She happily used the newcomer Amy Lee(Donald's younger sister) to do most of her schoolwork with Stephanie Rodriguez doing their labs. Amy never said anything in class and Stephanie was used to being used. The fact that her mother was the principal of the other school worked for Rosalind's advantage, she simply intimidated anyone through Stephanie's reputation without Stephanie knowing that she was getting blamed by the girls for their actions. At the fall school dance, Rosalind zeroed in on the boys that she wanted to have as her gophers and sex partners, Kyle Douglas and Oscar Pierce. Either would make great boyfriends, but she just wanted them for their looks and brains. They were tools to be used, and being two of the smartest boys in her class made them perfect for her. Rosalind knew that the Douglas family were trying to inch Kyle towards her and made every possible attempt to capture his attention, but the boy refused to even acknowledge her outside of required school interactions. Kyle didn't like Rosalind at all, he didn't believe in money being the sole reason for getting together with someone and didn't want to date someone who was fast becoming a bitch in his view. It didn't help that he knew all about Rosalind's antics the year before regarding bullying Kylie Pena Rosalind wasn't a full participant, but taking part was still a strike against her. He hated girls like that, and so far Rosalind had shown she was no different than those other girls. She figured that they would come around over time, she subtly let it be known to the girls that anyone trying to date Kyle would see themselves being called lesbians and have test answers planted in their lockers. It worked on some of the girls, but Stephanie and Amy ignored her. Stephanie had her mother's ear while Amy simply avoided Rosalind completely leaving her without a way of getting at her without it blowing up on her. Monica worked with Rosalind to prey on the weaknesses of the girls in her class. The girls' biggest fear after being called a lesbian was being exposed as having no breasts, something that Rosalind was also lacking but hid via larger blouses and sweatshirts and thanks to her sister- silicone inserts. Her threats would work best on the smallest girls, from there she could expand to the insecure and isolated girls until she had most of them in her grasp. Monica had her sister enthralled and working to do things as she had done before. Her next stop was getting boys to take notice of her and do what she wanted, even if she didn't like them. Kyle could wait, she needed boys and anyone would do even if they were chubby, short, and nerdy. Monica used his disappearance from his friends as a way of getting rumors created that he and Rebecca were on the outs and that Thomas was going to dump her. This culminated in Thomas and Rebecca having a long talk in the library then hugging tight followed by her kissing him deeply. Monica was infuriated, her plans not only fell apart- they actually backfired! It got worse. Reyna and her best friend Rachel were with them and kept a close eye on Monica. Reyna walked over to Monica and growled, "You failed. If you had actually succeeded we would have made your life miserable. We know what you know and we have eyes and ears at the middle school that knows what your sister is doing. Do this again and all three of you are exposed for what you are." Reyna dared her to say something. Monica snarled and asked,, "Did they remove your sense of humor when they removed your balls?" Reyna countered with, "I may have been born a guy but I'm more of a lady than you will ever be. Just how long do you think your little cock-tease act will work before a boy goes further or worse- does something you don't want to do? I give it a year, I don't believe that you can stop yourself once you start using boys for more than a blowjob in the bathroom." This was serious now. He refused to give in, pulling away as his friends came inside. Monica tried to claim he was trying to rape her but Reyna angrily told her they saw her pulling him inside and trying to lock the door. Rebecca added that she had finally gone too far and would pay for her lies. Monica tried to flee and cry rape but Sean Xavier was outside with Jake Bollinger to hand her a month-long suspension for falsely accusing Thomas, she may have only gotten a week but the allegation made it worse for her. When Jeanie got there she demanded that Thomas be expelled for assaulting her daughter. That got a laugh from the school police officer who happily pointed out that Thomas had done no such thing to Monica and never laid a finger on her while Monica herself was actually looking at assault charges for dragging Thomas against his will into the locker room then trying to lock the door preventing him from leaving. He dared her to say something but she knew that she wasn't going to win. He then added, "Your daughter has been a pain in the ass for all in this school since she started, she chose to go after the wrong boy this time. Your usual threats and intimidation just won't work on his family. You better hope that his father doesn't go after you for your own actions." She threatened Jake who countered with a stern, "His father is an ADA, he is aware of your reputation and will not hesitate to go after you for criminal conspiracy if you retaliate against Thomas especially as you have been caught before doing this same song and dance threatening act. He is innocent, you don't have a leg to stand on legally. I'll be sure to let your constituents know that you threatened not only me but several students over something your daughter did. As powerful as you think you are, you are nothing. Try me, I held off Valerie Finn from going after you and your daughter but this time I can't hold her off. If you persist she will protect her niece and daughter from you two." Jeanie walked off in a huff while Thomas' father Taylor Gault entered and pulled her aside, handing her a cease and desist order that prevented her and her daughter from harassing Thomas and Rebecca. Jeanie ripped it up and tossed it at him, angrily threatening to get them all back while Taylor just laughed at her actions. Out of hearing range of the others, he angrily told Jeanie, "Mess with my son again and you will regret it. I won't go to the courts, I'll ensure that you enjoy a long ride with some not so nice guys and never return. Whitey Bulger was nice compared with the kind of things those guys will do to you. You can also kiss your kids goodbye, it wouldn't take much to have someone sweet talk DCF into looking into your daughters' actions and make you look like an unfit mother. I may just do that anyway, just to see your reaction as you are hauled before a judge and beg for forgiveness while trying to explain how you got away with clearly assaulting your younger daughter two years ago." Jeanie now ran off scared. Monica glared at Taylor who simply nodded to her while not giving her the satisfaction of saying something further. She left in a huff, knowing that she was going to be in for a rough return when her suspension was lifted. At home Jeanie slapped Monica hard, sending her tumbling over a chair. Monica got up and slapped her just as hard sending Jeanie over a table and landing hard on a sofa, making Jeanie gasp in shock as her daughter dared to fight back against her. Monica stood over her and angrily announced, "Do that again lady and I'll make you regret it. I hold the keys to your freedom now, I make the rules here. I am the head of this family- not you!" Jeanie ran to the bathroom to inspect the damage to her face but didn't see any marks beyond a hand print that was fading fast. She went back to the living room and saw Monica daring her to say or do something, Jeanie simply left her alone and started dinner while waiting for Rosalind's inquisition. Monica just smirked to her sister who knew that the balance of power was now in the hands of her sister from now on. Monica took her month-long suspension in stride. She did her work but in reality, boys did it for her as she went over their houses and rewarded them for their services with losing their virginity. He took great pride in telling her that unless she got 90s on all tests for the rest of the semester she was going to fail again making her sneer at him and vow to make him regret it but knowing that her mother wasn't going to help her directly anymore. Monica's school issues carried over to Rosalind who was struggling to hold onto her power over the 6th graders. Amy Lee was no help to her, Rosalind's manipulation and belittling had actually caused others to see that Rosalind was using them and they were getting nothing in return making her have to work harder to do less. The Plastics, as her lackeys were called, were starting to waver in power and needed Stephanie's work to bring them up over the threshold of passing while Rosalind got some of the boys to do it for her. Mrs. Shriner, her teacher, kept Rosalind from getting too reliant on the boys and kept The Plastics from going too far with Stephanie. She couldn't keep Rosalind from ruling the classroom directly, but she was able to ensure that she held onto power loosely and would topple easily with just the right kick from the right person. As Christmas approached, things turned drastically as Rosalind had to deal with the new girl in her class. Al Washington was introduced to the class and she was stunning: as soon as she entered she had all of the boys eyeing her and the girls jealous of her looks. Rosalind herself felt insignificant as she was taller, slimmer, and had a great haircut that made her look like a model. Al had to go. She had to know who was in charge in the 6th grade. She needed to be put in her place. It was what her sister had taught her to do, it was the only way to keep herself as the top dog in school. Al immediately caused a stir as The Plastics lost their biggest helper in Stephanie working with Al as her partner at the happy suggestion from Mrs. Shriner. The Plastics were going to have to do things on their own, and likely fail. Thankfully Rosalind had the boys to support her so she wasn't going to be impacted by this paradigm shift in the class's power. As the day went on Rosalind saw that Al was not a normal girl. She was too smart and not interested in leering at boys like the other girls in their class had done. She had eyes on some boys and surprisingly some girls but she was focused on class or on talking with Stephanie and answering all of Mrs. Shriner's questions. She needed to do something to knock the new girl down to size. She would either join Rosalind or she would be humiliated. She was going to go easy on Al, she would be subtle and get her to go along with her before she went heavy on her and resorted to her sister's way of heavy-handed action. She tried to steer Al away from Stephanie during the short breaks in class, but Al kept getting away. No matter how much she tried, Al wouldn't leave Stephanie's side. It was getting annoying, but she refused to abandon Stephanie for Rosalind making Rosalind have to think up new ways of maneuvering her to where she needed Al to go. She was about ready to threaten her but Al countered and told her firmly, "I'm not abandoning my friend for you. I don't care if you are the most popular girl in class or you have all the boys leering at you, I won't leave her for anybody. She is my friend and earned the right to sit beside me and I actually like her company so please stop." Al's tone of voice was serious and she had the other students eyeing Rosalind closely, waiting for her to say or do something to get her back. Rosalind went against school rules and used her phone to search for why Al would need a special cushion in class. A few minutes in she got exactly what she needed to use against her- she'd sat that Al was transgender! This was perfect. She could get back at Al and make her lose every bit of support and respect the kids had given her that day while ensuring that she became a pariah. Her mother would ensure that Al's life was miserable from then on and would get kicked out of class or expelled so she didn't have to deal with Al any longer. The balance of power would be restored. Rosalind blurted out "she's one of those tranny freaks!" causing the whole cafeteria to stop dead in their tracks and all conversations to cease. Al didn't bat an eye and confessed the truth then proceeded to belittle and disarm Rosalind over her insecurities regarding her. It was an amazing sight and a speech worthy of great debaters and left Rosalind unable to say anything as all in their class knew it to be true. Rosalind was sent to the principal's office for her looming punishment and was angered that she was to receive a two-week suspension for violating the school's anti-discrimination policy in what she had said about Al. It was nonnegotiable, she was heard by everyone in the cafeteria including both principals. It was also reinforced earlier in class when the day started which she just then realized that Al joining them had sparked Mrs. Shriner to retell them the rules regarding discrimination. Jeanie came in screaming for her daughter to be exonerated and allowed to return to class. She then threatened to sue the school for ruining her daughter's reputation but did so in front of the worst person possible, Valerie Finn. Jeanie was ready to fight back but Valerie wasn't intimidated by her threats and dared her to actually do it, catching her off guard and having no way to retaliate without a costly battle that she would never win. The whole exchange turned serious as the mention of Jeanie intentionally throwing her weight around, with Jeanie not backing down despite knowing who Valerie was married to. Both Alice Rodriguez and Dorothy Vega grinned, Jeanie had just broken the cardinal rule of being a teacher and that was not using their job to intervene on their children's behalf. Jeanie was threatening them and in front of the one person who would not back down and would actually fight back twice as hard in Valerie. Valerie just smirked and sent texts to John and Randy, letting them know that Jeanie had crossed the line big time and was tossing her weight around to get her daughter out of a suspension for a major discrimination infraction. John simply said, "OK will talk with them" while Randy called her directly. He wasn't happy but he understood why it was being done and what it meant to him. Randy sighed and asked if her sister would be able to take in his grandchildren at the daycare center which Valerie had to smile at. She happily announced, "All you had to do was ask John. Melanie, Lupe, Tanya, and Leslie give all of the teachers a steep discount for their kids and grandchildren. Just ask Beth and Ben, little Benny has been playing with some of the kids during days Beth needs to go to appointments and has done wonders for his personality." Randy was relieved, it meant his kids could work days while he was able to watch the kids at night for them. It also meant that there was no reason to retain Jeanie as president as he was free to assume the job in her place. He talked with John directly and told him warmly, "I'll take the job, someone has to clean up her mess." John just nodded and gave his blessing that he would fully support Randy earning John a nod and thanks as their colleagues joined in John's support. Jeanie was humiliated as she received the phone call from the union's legal representative a couple of hours later. She was to appear in front of the executive committee to face a recall vote as there was an overwhelming majority voting for her removal. It was the call she dreaded, Valerie Finn had gotten her way and finally gotten revenge on a problem that was two and a half years in the making. She had not known about the vote though, it was actually the work of other members of the union with Ms. Paula and Mrs. Shriner working hard to ensure the removal went through without violating their charter. Jeanie was purposely not told so she wouldn't be able to counter the vote and in any way. In reality, Jeanie had no actual support, only Ms. Uxbridge remained and that was only because Jeanie knew her dark secret: she was being paid off by several parents to pass their kids on without actually doing any schoolwork. Jeanine's own colleagues at her elementary school refused to even help her, she had burned bridges with them when she took the presidency and several were angered at what she had allowed Ms. Mead to do to Rosalind the year before despite knowing that it would harm the school in the long run. It didn't help that Ms. Mead and her boyfriend Mr. Hogan were removed from their jobs, fired, then sent to jail for allowing sexual and physical assaults on students particularly Kylie Pena. They may not have cared for transgender children but they weren't about to allow a kid to be assaulted like Kylie had been. Jeanie had nobody to help her, she was ousted with 98% of the teachers voting for her removal and only Uxbridge voting to retain her while the other six didn't care either way. Jeanie took the news hard. She sought out Rosalind and hit her hard several times, leaving marks on her face causing her to collapse in tears as Jeanie continued to hit her. Rosalind crawled out and ran off, heading directly to her father's condo and begging him to let her stay. There was no denying what happened, he could hear the angry yelling as Rosalind answered her phone and put it on speaker so her father could hear Jeanie's ranting and threats. Shea called Ricardo Ramirez who brought Anne Connors with him. Anne looked over Rosalind's injuries and heard the voicemails threatening her and concluded that Jeanie was done as Rosalind's mother. She considered removing Monica but Rosalind angrily refused to have anything to do with Monica anymore especially after her teachings had backfired so badly. Rosalind came clean, she confessed, "Monica really runs the house. After mom smacked her a couple of months ago she fought back and now she has enough dirt on mom to make her do whatever she wants whenever she wants. She will do the same here with dad only unlike mom she won't hesitate to put dad in prison for something that she herself does. She is worse than mom, she will use her boyfriends to hurt us while she gets away with it. Please don't bring her here." Anne decided that she had to do something anyway and sent her colleague Mark Sylvester to check out the condo and ensure that Monica was fine. Monica tried to lie about her sister hurting herself and lying about her injuries to her back and legs but Mark never mentioned them to her nor did Anne mention any of them to him. He texted Anne to check her legs and back and sure enough, there were bruises and scratches on her that were several days old. Monica realized her mistake and tried to change her lies. Mark asked if her mother had hurt her as well and got a load of lies that he saw right through. He asked why she lied before about what her mother had done to her getting a sneer as she realized she couldn't outsmart him, he simply added, "I'll have to remove your sister but I won't be removing you as I see that she is in just as much danger from you as your mother. However, I don't believe that you are in immediate danger. I will have Anne Connors visit you to observe your interaction and determine if you are safe with your mother or not or if you are actually, as I suspect, the one who is the danger to both. Your sister will not be returning here again." Jeanie was handcuffed by officers accompanying Mark while Monica, being 17-years-old, was allowed to stay the night by herself. Her mother would return after being bailed in the morning but would be speaking with Ann immediately as this was not going to get brushed under the rug again. Monica had to tread lightly, her mother could just as easily claim abuse by her which would cause her to get into legal trouble but unlike her mother, this was backed up by her already nasty school record for assaults and whatever dirt her sister had been digging up unbeknownst to Monica. Word of Jeanie's arrest spread through the city's teachers as Anne happily told John, Beth, Ben, Sean Beretta, and Randy. Her principal removed her from her classroom and the city suspended her pending the outcome of her legal issues. It was the end of the line for Jeanie, she couldn't come back from this as she was tarnished beyond all possible means with no future in the city. Jeanie pleaded out and accepted anger management classes and probation while giving up all parental rights to Rosalind. Anne had ensured that she knew what she was doing, explaining firmly that DCF would fight to keep Rosalind away from her and her daughter. Monica got off easy but she still had to avoid Anne who casually let her know that she knew about Monica's reputation and what she had been willing to do to people to get what she wanted and DCF would be happy to step in to protect someone from her even if it was her own mother. When Monica returned to school she had to endure cold stares and pity filled head shaking as whispers about her actions got around. She found solace in the school's boys with many of them getting what they wanted from her without giving up anything. Over the next two months, she was constantly with boys who were happy to tell anyone who would listen that Monica was an easy lay and would give you the time of your life. Her reputation was in shambles and she simply didn't care anymore, she had no power to fight back the way she had in the past. With the boys under her thrall, she resorted to her old tricks and went after her favorite targets again, starting rumors that the newly minted Francesca Herman was dating Donald to hid their being gay while adding that the newly adopted Thomas Samuels was the love child of his new father. That didn't have the impact she wanted but it was enough to get people to whisper about his new brother Richard Samuels and what else may be going on at the seemingly perfect Samuels home. It was further compounded by Thomas' biological father being sent to prison for crimes he tried to pin on others that resulted in four people dying including Francesca's mothers. That was, in addition, Al being his biological sister and being adopted by Richard's family. it didn't matter that they didn't find out until Al had been with the Samuels for a couple of weeks but it was a juicy story. The rumors fizzled out once the whole story was told as trials got underway it was a huge thing at the school and Thomas received a lot of sympathy as well as congratulations on hitting the jackpot as he was both rich and with one of the best families in the city. Even Francesca came out stronger as her former mothers' riches were given to her and she was now the richest kid in the city by a wide margin. The rumors didn't have the desired impact Monica wanted. In fact, they were starting to turn around against her as news about Rosalind being removed from her mother's house and her mother being a child abuser was known. Then rumors started that she was pregnant and hiding it by going after a guy who had the best girlfriend in school and a girl who was richer than everyone else in the school combined made them believe it all the more. The pregnancy rumors were hitting her harder than any others. Most of the guys who were always around her were avoiding her while those who remained with her tried to act like they wanted more from their relationships in case the rumors about her being pregnant proved true and they were the potential father. It was humiliating and every time she saw Francesca or Rebecca Lopez she saw a big smile while their friends gave her a pitied look followed by whispers. Reyna and Rachel were the biggest ones to show how they felt about the rumors. They would casually drop hints that payback was a bitch but never went over the line to bullying nor did they do it where others could hear. It was the truth, it was a bit of payback for Monica going after Donald and Thomas and showing that they were willing to get down and dirty and fight for their friends and unlike Monica, they had deep pockets and were willing to use them to help their friends out. She had to move on and broke off all relations with boys until things died down. She happily showed them her bloody tampon when she had her next period and angrily told them that she wasn't pregnant and for thinking that she was she was cutting them off. They didn't really care, the free ride was over and they moved on to other girls. Monica had to focus on getting things done in school and doubled down on the work. It was futile, she couldn't do it and barely passed the few tests that she took. Randy simply didn't bother anymore with her, she was going to fail no matter what she did thanks to her poor grades the first semester and borderline failing grades the third quarter and he didn't believe for a second that she could pass the department's final exam without someone doing the work for her. Knowing she was going to repeat her history class no matter what Monica focused on her simmering feud with the Finn ladies. The prom was coming and she wanted to ensure that the ladies had a horrible experience. As they talked she honed information and used it against them by leaking their dress choices followed by what limos they were looking at using and what shoes they were getting. The girls had to scramble but found the right dresses. Monica paid several boys to stain the dresses before they got out of the store after the last fitting but was overheard by Randy who then had the store keep the dresses under lock and key until the girls were ready. Monica's group were corralled as they entered the shop and even though they were there with their dates they were kicked out and told to not bother with the paint bit. Monica tried to get them to do it at the prom but only got three to do it for her. The boys were not realy going to do it, they agreed only because they owed the ladies a favor and wanted to get back at Monica for making their year miserable the year before. As she entered she told them which girls to target only to be booted from the prom by Jake and John, with John grinning as he told her that she was going to end up out on her ear if she didn't grow up fast. Monica fumed at being kicked out of the prom. Her mother had no sympathy, she was still angry at having to find a new job but was coming up short in her searches. Monica seriously contemplated about making her sister pay for ruining her life but Rosalind sent her an email the day after she fled the condo telling her that if Monica ever contacted her again she would get a permanent restraining order against her and wouldn't hesitate to send her to jail. Rosalind spent her previous suspension with her father at his lab rather than lounging at home. She was forced to study, read, and work on schoolwork while he finished his next project. Rosalind and he were at odds early on but once she saw that he wasn't using her to get what he wanted she stopped being so standoffish and angry around him. Shea hated that Jeanie had harmed Rosalind, but Rosalind started to see the light and realize that what she was being taught was going to harm her, not actually make her into a queen bee. The two spent hours talking over the break, with Monica's abuse and Jeanie's neglect coming up a lot as he got to know the real Rosalind Porter. Shea was trying to reach out and eventually, Rosalind saw that he was trying to help her while showing her the wrong things she had done and why they were wrong and how to correct them. She eventually had to face her classmates, especially Al. Rosalind sighed and knew that Al would be gunning for her but Shea smirked and explained, "I know that she isn't like that. I had a long talk with my lawyer about Al and Stephanie and know that they simply want to be left alone and allowed to be themselves. I know you are going to have issues when you return but know this: your new teacher understands you more than you realize. You will be moved to a different class so you can start fresh and be who you really are, one that isn't on Al and Stephanie's level but isn't remedial. Give it time, you might befriend some people or you might find your true self. Either way the old you is done and hopefully never comes back." Shea and Rosalind spent the rest of the time getting to know one another. Rosalind was her father's daughter down to her inquisitiveness and understanding of science and math. He missed out on this side of her over the years, Rosalind actually loved her father and was happy to talk and help him out and for the first time, she felt like she was loved by her family and not being used to get what they wanted instead. When she did return to school she found herself facing Al and Stephanie right away. She looked down in shame and apologized and said she wouldn't bug them again and walked off as the two didn't offer a response. Alice led her to her new teacher, explaining that she was going to do better if she just allowed her true self to come out and ignore everything her sister and mother had taught her. Over time she did find her true self. She found a few kindred spirits in her class and impressed her teacher who was angry that her mother's influence had created a monster while her father's influence had slain it. Rosalind thrived in her new environment, giving Alice a feeling that Rosalind may have given herself a new life by having something horrible happen to her. Rosalind had to smile as she heard about her sister's antics through her classmates. She really didn't care about Monica anymore, it was entertaining hearing how their older brothers had been in so much trouble thanks to getting caught with Monica after being told to stay away from her or getting caught in bed having sex with Monica while their parents were out. Rosalind happily said,, "It'll be a miracle if she doesn't get pregnant before she graduates that is if she graduates at all." Word had also reached Monica about Rosalind doing well with their father. She was angry but couldn't do anything about it yet. Her sister was dead to her and like any other person, Rosalind too would get what she justly deserved even if it took a while to get access to her. Monica had to do something to distract herself from her sister's turnaround and decided to finally go after Reyna directly. She was better looking than Monica, so much more so that she had heard snickers from some of the boys about her being more manly than the girl who was born a male. It irked her but she refused to give in to the taunting yet. She used her status on the student council to get herself appointed to the field day committee. She then tried to get Reyna banned through her usual manipulations. She concocted a good excuse but no matter how much she tried she couldn't get any traction and saw it fall apart before her eyes as it was voted down unanimously. Reyna had looked forward to the field day but was thrown out of the locker room by an angry Monica. Monica angrily told Reyna that she was a boy no matter what others aid. In her eyes having a fake vagina didn't make you a woman, she didn't belong with, "Real" girls and would never let Reyna join them no matter what the school said. Monica got into a long, heated argument with Jake about Reyna being there. Monica's boy toys had gotten some of the most bigoted parents to join her and saw a crowd supporting her. She thought that she was going to finally win but Jake calmly told them all, "She is female. We have no right to bar her from the locker room or bathrooms nor do we have the right to stop her from participating in a school event. You can sue and you can go to the media but it won't change our minds. She participates whether you like it or not and if you continue to harass her she will gladly sue you for harassment." Monica was then angrily tossed out of the locker room in retaliation by the seniors for making their last field day turn ugly. Monica tried to fight back but she was no match for the ladies. To make things worse, she was in her bra and panties and gave a free show to all of the boys in all four grades as they waited outside the locker rooms and out on the field for the ladies to finish. It was the worst thing to have happened to Monica yet. Her bra was see through and she wore thong panties putting her entire body on display. And to make things worse the boys could clearly see that she was wearing inserts in her bra making her breasts appear two cup sizes larger making Monica again the laughingstock of the school. Monica tried to play it off as no big deal and picked up her clothes, going home in shame as the boys laughed at her. Jeanie was no help, she was given her final statement that she was terminated with all seniority revoked. She couldn't teach in the city anymore and until her probation ended she was barred from being hired by any school in the state. She now had to rely on her meager savings that were 1% of what it was two years before thanks to Shea getting their divorce settlement overturned once the abuse and manipulations of the previous judge were shown, getting the prenuptial agreement reinstated which forced Jeanie to repay the money she had gotten. Monica was told that they had to cut costs so her life of luxury was dead and buried. Monica was outraged and fumed but Jeanie was a broken person, she had to do it for their sake as they couldn't afford it anymore. Monica simply stewed in her room while plotting her final revenge for the next year as she dealt with the last year of school. Chapter 4 *Prom night, Porter residence* The family's money woes were angering Monica as she was forced to wear a secondhand dress that she didn't know the origin of. It was beautiful and in her favorite color and fit her body perfectly. It was the kind of dress that she would have bought from the store, expensive and eye- catching. That didn't matter to Monica. It wasn't a new dress, everyone else was wearing new ones except the girl whose dress she ruined and even that it was, "Upcycled" into a new design. Jeanie refused to tell her where she got it from, she kept that secret from her daughter as the truth would cause her to have a meltdown that she did not need that not. For the first time in months the angry witch had mellowed out as she needed her mother's help and Jeanie was not about to ruin that mood. Like getting a new dress, Monica demanded to go to a stylist but Jeanie couldn't afford one. She barely had enough to pay for the limo and Monica's date's ticket making Monica have to wear her hair in a modified bob look that fit the dress but wasn't what Monica had envisioned. She wanted extensions, highlights, curls, and bangs but instead had to make due with an easy to reproduce cut that was nice but not her idea of how she had to look that night. Her date waited outside for her with an annoyed, bored look. He took a look at her as she opened the door and gave her a long wolf-whistle, making Monica blush at the feeling she was getting. Jeanie just shook her head, her date was laying it on thicker than was necessary and drawing attention to himself. The two left in the cheap limousine, hoping to arrive last so everyone saw Monica, but instead was the first there. It was yet another in a long run of disappointments. and failures for Monica. This year had been hell for Monica and it was only getting worse. *Summer school, prior to senior year* Monica spent the summer toiling away in school under the watchful eye of Ms. Paula. She hated it there, it was the last place she wanted to be in summer but she needed to pass her history class or she wouldn't advance. It was made worse as she was the only junior there and the only one who was there due to poor grades, the rest were freshmen and sophomores who were out sick for a while or who had given birth during the year and only needed some finishing touches on their work. Monica was watched like a hawk and unable to use any of her usua tricks on the others. Her work was entirely different than the others and she had to take all tests orally and alone so there was no chance of her cheating. She passed, but she knew she was not going to graduate without a lot of help from others and she needed to find a new way of getting people to do what she needed to pass without actually having to study or do her homework. She and Jeanie had been forced to move into a small three bedroom house after Jeanie had been unable to find a decent job and repaid the money owed to her ex-husband Shea. She would get a modest child support check until Monica graduated but she was being forced to find work anywhere at a reduced salary which meant Monica was on her own most of the time. That meant Monica was sleeping with various boys from 14-year-old freshmen to 21-year-old college students, it didn't matter so long as she had a guy in her bed. It was a game to her, she would see how far she could push things before Jeanie said something. She was in control of their relationship and Jeanie had no way to stop her without it hurting herself. Jeanie didn't bother telling her to stop anyway, she had no fight left in her. She was forced to get a job as a private tutor for a rich kid out on Wellesley. The boy's parents knew about Jeanie's probation and assault conviction and were willing to risk her hurting their son if it meant he was going to do well for them in the future especially as she was a great teacher inside the classroom even if she was a horrible human being outside of it. Monica had all but given up on her mother as she was in full control of everything at home and used the time to plot a way of getting nailed down to one of the rich boys in school. She knew what it meant, she would have to get pregnant but a little white lie wouldn't hurt and if she played her cards right she would do the deed after graduating and not have a worry anymore. The problem was which boy would be the rube. Her heart was set on Richard Samuels. Rick, as his new sister had dubbed him, was the one guy who was immune to her charm and pressure and it infuriated her as well as caused her heart to flutter. She had to get him into bed, he was the ultimate prize and through him, she would have a great future filled with money and power. Getting a little revenge against Rick's adopted brother Thomas was an added bonus as was seeing the look on Jaimie Finn's face as Rick got with a, "Real" girl and not some fake. The snag was Rick hated her. Thanks to all of her antics, Monica could not get close to him and when she tried she always met resistance from Jaimie and the rest of her friends. It angered her to no end that such a hot piece of ass was still a virgin and going to waste his seed in a fake vagina owned by someone whom Monica considered a freak of nature. Rick belonged with Monica, not Jaimie. She had to get something done or she would never get her chance. It was an open secret that the Finn ladies were about to become engaged to their boyfriends and once Rick did that Jaimie Finn and he were going to wed in a year. It was now or never and she would do whatever it took to get it done. She instead set her sights on the overlooked Michael Finn. He was easier to get access to as he did the least after school outside of football and martial arts. The others usually left him alone to focus on homework before going to football practice giving Monica plenty of chances to get at him and seduce him before the others realized what she was up to and stopped her. She had to come up with a counterattack just in case Michael was like Rick and spurned her advances. Her only real option was extorting him but that had to be done delicately and required help. She would be able to do it but it would take time, something that she had to endure while keeping a low profile. So she had little choice now. She was going to bide her time until she could get an opening and pounce on him, literally and figuratively. Her mother wouldn't stop her and she honestly didn't fear any of the Finn ladies as they would be doing the ultimate he said/she said battle with Monica winning this time as nobody ever believed the boy in this instance. School started with little fanfare but Monica went right to work trying to get things done so she could focus on her plans. She actually tried to work this year, knowing that she could easily pass her government class and her English class while not needing any other classes to finish as she had passed her science and math requirements already. She simply took easy ones, ones that were padding the schedule but were actually good for her as it turned out Michael was in one of them and by pure luck was seated next to her. Michael tried his hardest to ignore Monica but their teacher required them to work together and she specifically assigned the partners based on reputation and needs. Michael was the talented stockbroker while Monica was the coasting school slut, he needed to help her through the year or he'd suffer the consequences of Monica's laziness. Their teacher was hoping for something to happen to knock him down a few pegs, she was jealous that the boy was so highly regarded by the business department while she had failed in her own attempt at working in the industry. After class, Michael laid out the situation: she had to do her own work and nobody else could do it for her, he wasn't going to let her coast by on her looks alone leaving him to take up her slack. He wasn't falling for her trap like other boys had done in the past. Monica had to either do the work of he would gladly drop the class and use his job to get work study credit instead. Michael got a lot of flak and ribbing from classmates over being paired with Monica. Most of his teammates thought he was the luckiest guy in school as he was being forced to have Monica over his house and would get to go over her house frequently. That was the worst thing to say as their coaches quickly told the group to shut their trap, he was forced into that partnership and it would be rectified shortly if he wanted it to. Michael didn't ask what they meant, he simply went about his normal routine. Head football coach Sean Kelly, formerly Sean Beretta, kept a close eye on the girls eyeing the team and knew that Monica was up to something and it didn't involve their schoolwork. Michael didn't deserve to be forced to suffer because a lazy brat was forced on him by a jealous teacher, someone who should know better given their history and someone who was facing down being disciplined for trying to fail a student without reason for actions that he didn't do. Monica never took her eyes off Michael. Shawn Xavier told her to scram but she stuck close to the field but not hindering anything or causing any trouble. Some of the football players tried to get her attention but Sean shot them down with a harsh, "Boys, there are some girls that are just too much trouble to deal with. That young lady is trouble, get involved with her and you will end up on the wrong side of the law or on the wrong end of a paternity test. She isn't hanging around to get in your pants, she has her guy targeted and if you think you are going to get in her pants by helping her you have another thing coming. You may get a taste of her forbidden fruit but she only has eyes for certain boys and I can guarantee that none of is the one she really wants. Stay away." A couple of the freshmen didn't listen to Sean and walked home with Monica after practice. She just grinned and flirted and within seconds had won them over and had them doing what she wanted. The boys would help her out, they, in turn, would get what they had desired most- sex with a pretty girl. During their afternoon sessions in the library, Monica was always sitting close to Michael so they could talk quietly. She would casually probe him with subtle questions while trying to see if she could get a rise out of him. Michael tuned her out and only focused on their assignments and after several failed flirtations he called it a day and left in a huff while Monica had a big smirk on her face. Michael didn't see the camera carefully hidden in the stacks by his teammates, but Monica saw it and knew just what to say and do to make it look like she was kissing with him while they were doing their work. It was devious, but it worked. Monica edited the videos of the two and held onto them until the time was right and she could use them to get her man whether he wanted her or not. Michael was no fool, he never went anywhere without his trusty digital recorder and everything they had said to one another was recorded on it. Monica's subtle manipulations were on there, as were Michael's refusing to reciprocate her affections and refusing to fall for her tricks. He downloaded each and sent them to his cousin Rachel to backup and keep safe just in case someone hacked his laptop or stole his portable hard drive, they might delete a copy but they wouldn't delete them all. Their finance class was actually going badly for Michael. Monica was reverting to her lazy streak and making him do all of the work which he refused to do causing problems with their assignments as they were always halfway done. Their teacher was no help, she actually chastised Michael for not working with Monica despite it being clear that he was doing all of the work. After six weeks Michael had finally had enough and went to the main office to ask to drop the class. Jake Bollinger simply read the critiques and nodded in agreement. Michael was done in that class, he had no real use for it and didn't need to still go if he was being negatively impacted by it. Jake walked to the classroom and called the teacher out then berated her over her treatment of Michael for doing his own work and not helping a student coast by. She should have been praising Michael and going after Monica instead, not making Michael out to be a horrible student for not doing what she demanded him to do. He then further added that she had no right to use her own lack of success against him as he had earned his stripes in the marketplace as both a highly regarded solo trader and for his work as an advisor to a prominent firm and was only taking the class because it was the only class that was open for him to take at that time and he was actually more qualified to teach it than her. She snapped and went at Michael for costing her husband his job three years before. He was actually one of the executives that were fired for defrauding a brokerage firm after Michael found their theft of other brokers' rightly earned transaction commissions. She had gotten the job to make some money while her husband tried desperately to get back into the game and start up his own firm, he himself was still paying off debts to his former company making no actual money from his work. Jake shook his head and happily told her, "You are done here next semester. We will find someone who can easily replace you, there are a lot of recent graduates who are biding their time until a job in the field opens up and have the right credentials to teach. Michael is an asset to your class, your pettiness cost your students a chance to earn a lot of money as well as see the fun part of your profession. He could still do that as a tutor, in fact, I think it would be a good idea. However, you will have no interaction with him and everything done will be done under strict oversight by his current boss." Jake pulled Monica aside and growled at her, "You are walking a thin tightrope this year. You have reached the point of no return, you have to pass everything to graduate. This class may be nothing to you but English, government, and math are. You actually failed all four quarters in math due to us finding some notes hidden in the chair and table you sat at last year that was in your handwriting that just so happened to have the answers to several tests including the final. You are getting a student teacher in Mr. Stoner's English class, don't think that she will let you coast by and pull your usual shenanigans as she is a master at spotting things that are wrong including cheating. Enjoy her, I think you will find yourself challenged in multiple ways." Michael heard what Jake said and asked:, "So we really are getting Deborah?" Jake laughed and added a hearty, "Did you really think she wouldn't get assigned the worst class alongside the best one? Yes, you get her! Actually, Justin Stoner is a good man despite being a tough grader and shares a lot of history with Deborah that may help him open up more. He knows what he likes and he liked her writing and her style. Your father arranged Deborah to be placed here in hopes of obtaining a job but Justin asked for her personally so she had someone who wasn't going to use her for themself." Monica waited until after school to confront Michael about him dropping the class. Michael expected this and bluntly told her, "I'm not your patsy and I will never be your boyfriend. I am in love with a beautiful woman who is smart, funny, caring, compassionate, affectionate, and sisterly. She is my dream girl and I am not about to drop her for someone who has no morals, ethics, or decency let alone self-respect. Don't think I didn't know your whole plot, you thought you could seduce me into doing everything for you then get me to knock you up. Well, it failed. I don't need the class and I sure as hell don't need you. Goodbye." Monica was left to figure out her next move. Her boy toys were going to be needed but she had to wait to strike back at Michael as she would be immediately disbelieved should she put her plan into place right away. This called for patience, something that she was starting to learn was a virtue especially as her life got busier and more complicated. In school, the new student teachers took over their classes with Deborah Peterson teaching freshman and senior English in the fall, both under the watchful eye of Justin Stoner, her mentor. Right away she spotted who were going to be the problem students and who were going to be the shining lights in class. Monica was immediately pegged as being the problem student simply by the way she acted once she saw Deborah in front of the class, her sneer was a dead giveaway but her arrogance and sense of elitism that she constantly exuded while interacting with her classmates was a close second. At home, Jeanie had used some of her former colleagues to give her the lowdown on the newest student teacher. What she heard outraged her and made her want to pull Monica from the class. There was a problem though, Monica had turned 18 in early September and was now an adult. Monica couldn't afford to change classes and wasn't about to let Jake win before she had started to fight. She was left to endure Deborah or else kiss her chances of graduating goodbye. Monica went into class knowing Deborah's history. She told everyone in the class just what Deborah really was and earned a lot of cold stares and disbelieving looks. For once Monica had told the truth yet her prior lies and attempts to bring down the Finns had caused her truth to be ignored as another lie! Justin got up in front of the class and addressed the issue directly. He happily announced, "As it is a growing issue among you and with the blessing of Mrs. Peterson I'm going to speak on the matter only once. Mrs. Peterson was born male and before you ask she is a complete female. She is also married to an amazing engineer who has just been awarded three patents for his valve and socket designs. If I hear anyone insulting her I will not hesitate to kick you out of class. I am looking at you, Monica Porter! Your reputation precedes you or did you forget all the times I was standing close by as you insulted Mrs. Peterson's cousin Jaimie?" The class let out a quiet, "Oh shit" as they realized Deborah was well connected. Justin happily added, "Deborah just happens to be Claire Peterson's sister-in-law as well as Stacy Lopez and Jaimie, Michael, and Miles Finn's first cousin. That's not counting being the daughter of Ms. Vega over at the middle school whom most of you had as your principal." His words loomed large over the class as Deborah started her lecture then handed out their assignments. Monica was kept under close watch by Deborah for the next two weeks. Deborah didn't trust her and could see that she was clearly using others to help her write her assignments. From reading the English curriculum she could see they were freshmen or sophomores, from seeing her around the school it was clear they were freshmen and ones who were getting sex for helping Monica as Deborah knew for a fact that she had no money to pay the boys. She shook her head in disgust. The girl was just like so many boys and girls she knew back in high school. She spent more time trying to get out of doing work than she could have spent actually doing the work, she could have been a top student if she only focused on improving herself not her status nor exacting her petty revenge. At home every day Monica complained to Jeanie about Deborah making her look foolish in front of the class. Jeanie tuned out Monica, it was a fight she didn't want to make anymore. She hated transgender people but she wasn't about to go toe to toe with Valerie Finn again especially as her niece was well connected academically and had a strong mentor protecting her in Justin. The last time cost Jeanie her pride and joy- her job. Going against Valerie this time especially with Deborah being a relative of hers rather than the foster daughter of a friend she could lose her freedom. Monica had to deal with her on her own and do it soon or she was going to tell her to get out of her house. She would choose herself over her daughter's pettiness, it was a rare time when self-preservation was the right choice to make. Monica's laziness and attempts at getting others to do her dirty work would finally catch up to her as Deborah confronted her in class about her most recent writing assignment. Monica defended it and told her it was good to which Deborah smirked and added, "Of course it's good, it was a thesis written by a professor of mine. I have a copy at home, I recognize the style and word choice specifically the jokes. You didn't write this, she did." Deborah then showed a website that she had found on the school computers thanks to a specific network monitoring program. It was copy and pasted two days before from the library computers and done while Monica was logged in. She just grinned and pointed out, "You haven't done a single thing in class since I took over. All of your written assignments were done by the boys you hang out with in the library and it reflected in your test grade. I'm sorry but you are automatically failed for the quarter." Monica tried to swear but held her tongue. She walked home and angrily told her mother that she was failed for the quarter thanks to the tranny witch. Jeanie just shook her head and told her that she was 18, it was her own fight now. If she was going to take on Deborah she had better have something powerful in her arsenal because she was not going to go down without a big fight. Monica stewed in her room and came up with a slew of potential lies that would cause a firestorm against Deborah. She sent out anonymous emails to the media about a transgender teacher molesting students at the school and that the school was trying to cover it up by targeting students who tried to say something against it. It was simple but effective, there were enough sharks in the Boston area to ensure that someone would bite. The next day she had her four guys work together to come up with a story that framed Deborah while keeping Monica out of the line of fire. They didn't ask why she was doing it, all they were concerned about was getting more sex. She gave it to them and ensured they weren't caught with her, but it was clear to all of the freshmen guys that she was sleeping with the four. It took a week but the first of the sharks started to sniff around the school. Monica was quick to talk with them and got the boys to lie, claiming Deborah was threatening them if they didn't do what she wanted especially as she was well connected and they wee new to the school. Monica coached them on where, when, and how things were done but did so where nobody would see or hear them. The vultures staked out the school and tried to interview Deborah but were run off by John and Jake. Jake smelled something fishy and had Valerie investigate, getting a startling claim from the producers while William Kelly, a family member and columnist for one of the newspapers, got the full story along with the emails sent to the reporter assigned to the story. Monica thought she was slick in using the boys' school email accounts but her timing was wrong as it was proven the boys couldn't have sent them and in fact had no contact with Deborah as they were in a separate cluster and had English with another teacher. The usage of CCTV cameras in the classroom to record her teaching sunk the claims further with Monica not accounting for them being present as she tuned out Justin the first day of school when he told them what they were doing and she was too busy sneering at Deborah to hear that they were always on when she was in the room with them. The boys were called before Jake, the school department lawyer, DCF representatives, and members of the state police investigating the claims. The boys were scared to death of what was going on and their story quickly fell apart as they were interviewed separately. They refused to tell who was responsible but it was clear to Jake and Deborah the ringleader behind the lies was Monica as all four had ties to her thanks to the school rumor mill and close observations by teammates and classmates. Deborah was cleared and the media forced to apologize to both the school as well as Deborah, with the newspapers being shamed by shareholders into making donations to various charities that Deborah had suggested. Deborah gave them a strong parting shot, saying firmly, "I may be transgender but I have to abide by the same rules that all follow. I am happily married, go out of my way to keep kids safe, and ensure that my mentor approves of everything that I do. Your own ignorance could have ruined my life, all because a single student can't accept that people are different. That's your real story: a young woman tries for the fourth time to ruin the life of another person." Monica had to lay low for a week, staying home with Jeanie covering for her. Jeanie didn't dare say, "I told you so" but it was clear that she was upset that Monica was so stupid and for once actually risked being arrested for her stupidity. Jeanie was done helping her daughter after this final debacle, whatever she did after that was on Monica as she wouldn't help her anymore. Monica didn't learn, she doubled down on going after Michael. This time she decided to go right at him and kiss him full on the lips then thank him for the amazing night. The boys were recording it as Michael tried to get away, eventually making contact with Monica who cried called out for help. This got a response from the school officer who held up Michael while he tried to figure out what was really happening. Monica tried to claim that he hit her after she tried to break things off with him. She had her lackeys claim it was true while they showed the video of Michael hitting Monica's chest as he broke her grip, captured just at the right moment to make him look bad. Michael was taken to the office while Monica was directed to the nurse to get her arm and chest looked at to see if she had any marks. Inside the office, Michael was berated by the officer for hitting a girl, especially one who was clearly trying to be nice to him. He went at Michael heavy and hard until John cleared his voice getting his attention. John then announced, "You are lucky that you didn't make contact with my son or I'd have your badge. As it stands you are getting reassigned because you are not going to remain here if this is how you treat victims of false accusations." The officer tried to threaten John but John just shook his head and called his cousin Willie Pena who had the officer explain his actions then report to him immediately for debriefing and reassignment as he was finished as school resource officer. Jake shook his head and asked firmly, "Did you record it?" Michael showed the recorder and played back everything with Monica clearly trying to entice him and Michael telling her to leave him alone. Jake then watched the video while John laughed, it was badly recorded and the boys were caught talking about what was going to happen before it happened showing that it was staged to go after Michael while Monica was made to look like a victim. The boys were sent for and asked to explain themselves. When the recording was played and the video shown they swore and tried to weasel out of it until they gave in and admitted that Monica set it up. Jake grinned and gave them a month's worth of detention while adding that they were finished with football for the year and would have to earn their spot the next year if not the year after. Monica was sent for and told that her boy toys had ratted her out. She tried to deny it but the evidence was there. She got another month-long suspension alongside two months of detention and assured herself that she outright failed the first quarter in English while barely scraping by in her other classes. She wasn't in danger of flunking out or repeating yet but if she didn't calm down she was going to face a big battle to pass her classes. Monica's revenge was swift, she went after the boys with a vengeance. She edited the sex videos and leaked them to the biggest gossipers in school then the biggest bullies. The four boys never stood a chance as they were laughed at and called all sort of gay slurs while enduring a nasty assault in the locker room by the biggest homophobes in school. The boys had no way out of so two finally confessed that yes they were gay while the other two tried in vain to prove they weren't gay. It took the intervention of Raul Rodriguez and his girlfriend, Avery James, to stop the worst offenders, with the two helping the two heterosexual boys out while ensuring that everyone knew that they were under their protection. Avery was the sister-in-law of a police officer while Raul was the nephew of a federal agent and a tough as nails lawyer as well as Willie Pena, both had heavy ties to the Finn family which allowed them a lot of leeway and clout. The boys did better under Raul's protection while earning the respect and affection of Avery's friends. The two girls were unattached and the more they were around the boys the more they started to fall for them. The boys, in turn, were seeing that they didn't have to do anything besides being themselves to get attention from girls which caused them to finally see that Monica was a classic leech who just used them for her own needs while giving them a little sex but a lot of trouble. The video didn't escape the notice of the authorities. Jake had the police review it and while they couldn't tell who took it they were able to determine that it was an amateur job done by someone who used the boys. Jake had his suspicions that it was Monica but without hard evidence, she wasn't able to be charged with anything yet. Once Monica's suspension was up she was given her final warning to lay low by Jeanie. Jeanie herself had gotten trouble for Monica's actions as her bosses didn't like having her leave early to cover for Monica yet again. Monica was given her ultimatum: lay low for a while or she was out on the streets. She no longer had anything to hold over her mother's head, it was Jeanie's house and she was 18 now. Monica simply went about her business at school. She got voted into office again by the horny boys but she hadn't bothered with her usual antics against Jaimie. Courtney Bollinger(as her name had been changed to) was class president while Claire Peterson and Jaimie Finn were vice president and secretary for their class making Monica have to be on her best behavior or never be allowed to speak. Monica's only issues that winter was the constant preparations for the prom. She hated that Reed Pena was taking Courtney's younger sister Jessie to the prom with him. She was just a sophomore who had no business at the prom much less with a boy of Reed's rugged good looks. In her mind, she should be the one taking him if he was going to go, not Jessie. She almost had enough votes to ban Jessie but a point of order was made that showed that there was nothing in the rules barring someone who was a student even if she or he was not in the junior or senior year. This meant that Jessie was allowed to attend, she just had to have parental permission. Given that her uncle Jake was going to be there it was a moot point as he would be allowed to sign off on her behalf making all attempts to bar her pointless. Monica fought for hours and actually opened up a can of worms that nobody had thought of as Reed was potentially going to be going to three consecutive proms thanks to Jessie being a year behind him. Randy Leeds simply told them that he'd have to obtain permission from the prom committee and from the principal to attend in two years but given who he had as parents and with Jake as principal it was a done deal. Monica had completely lost all points with Courtney grinning widely as she watched Monica sulk over losing yet another battle with the group. Her next crusade was for prom queen and it was a battle that was tough to fight and even tougher to win. Jaimie Finn was the odds-on favorite for the title. Stacy Lopez was the consensus second choice with Courtney being the third choice. Monica fought hard to get attention and bribe everyone possible, even going so far as to help the Juniors with tips for passing the department's tests and understanding the school's Shakespeare unit in English. The days leading up to the announcements were tense as Monica campaigned day and night and had to sleep with a lot of boys to get them to vote for her while getting a few girls to do the same. She even went so far as to beg several junior boys for help, with the boys roughing up several groups of students but nobody was able to overcome Jaimie's lead. The more she worked on the prom the less she did in class which was bringing her grades down again. She had barely passed the departmental midterms and passed the 2nd quarter with, "C" grades in all but English which she failed due to Mr. Stoner constantly rejecting her work for being written by others, which was actually true. The third quarter was another down quarter for her as she reverted to her old antics and grew lazy and saw her grades slip to the point that if she didn't get her act together she was in danger of flunking the year which would mean she wouldn't graduate. The thought horrified her but her vanity overruled her rational judgment. She was solely focused on the prom and in the weeks leading up to it, all other things stopped mattering. Jeanie simply left her alone, her mind was made up that she'd kick her daughter out after the school year ended and move away to another city. She was done in Winnisimmet even if her daughter wasn't. It was her problem now. Chapter 5 *Prom Night, outside the Finn Family home* The eight Finn Family ladies were decked out in their new prom dresses and posed for dozens of photos for the assembled families. It was the first for the family as two years before the ladies hadn't gone all out like this for the family as Hannah Smith and Paige Connors didn't want the attention. The youngest kids were doing their best to give the teens and adults a fun time while the 17 youngest girls were fawning over the dresses, makeup, and jewelry the girls were wearing. The 16 boys were trying their hardest not to get too much attention but were all happy to see the girls enjoying the event that they had spent weeks talking about. For the four 10-year-old boys, it was a little embarrassing as the girls loved making them feel uncomfortable as they were seeing them as beautiful and sexy for the first time in their lives. It was worse for Logan Finn as his sister Jaimie was to him the most beautiful girl among them which the other boys didn't want to admit and he was feeling odd at thinking about girls that way especially his own sister. Jaimie took the most pictures as she had the most siblings. She loved making her brothers squirm and teased Michael Finn about the two finally doing something they joked about doing years ago when they were little kids. Michael blushed as Jessica Nelson explained to Logan, Ella, Cat, and JD Finn that they were supposed to go to the prom with Scott and Michael but things changed. Jessica gave Michael a knowing smile as he added, "Alright fine I said I'd marry you too but in my defense, you were the one who said I had to take you because Scott was taking Jaimie." Scott Nelson blushed at hearing that while Rick Samuels and Eric Vincent burst into laughter over their girlfriends being so mischievous. The kids were all smiles as they posed for more pictures with Logan easing up on the awkwardness of being around the dress wearing Jaimie. Jaimie gave him a quick peck on the cheek to show he was doing well which eased him further and caused his younger siblings to smiled back as he started to stop acting weird around the girls. The group were awaiting their chaperones and subjected themselves to more pictures with poor John Finn getting a ribbing from his sisters over finally going to the prom even if it was as a teacher. He just shrugged, adding, "At least the girls look better in their dresses than you two did in yours. I don't know why you thought curls would work on your mop top, Leslie, or why Karen thought a perm was going to make her look more mature." John ran off in a laugh as his sisters scowled and the kids ran inside to look at the pictures. Melanie Lopez grinned at Willie Pena and Paul Douglas who both told her, "Don't even think about it!" while Juan Alvarez simply told Melanie, "If you break them out I'll break out mine. Remember that I was the school photographer that year and still have the originals including ones that made you look like a blimp or showed your bad side in bad lighting." The teens begged him to show them the pictures while Melanie blushed deeply. The adults all laughed it up as Melanie had finally lost a battle of wits with her high school friends by forgetting something extremely important. It allowed the teens to finally end the photography session and enter the waiting limos as they left for a night that all would remember. John drove on to the high school with his wife as they happily talked about how far their beloved daughter had come in just six years. Jaimie was both literally and figuratively a new person and was a stunning beauty with no trace of the quiet, scared little kid they had known back in Missouri. John knew that it was the beginning of the end of his time guiding his daughter but Valerie just kissed his cheek and offered him a poignant, "She is going to do well for herself. You can't guide her forever, just be there for her when she needs you. Rick is a good man but she will always need her father." *The days leading up to the prom* Monica had made a name for herself around the Greater Boston area that Spring for all of the wrong reasons. After her failure to get Jessie Bollinger banned from the prom she had muddied the waters with multiple places where the prom was being considered so the school would have trouble finding a place. Once the group settled on a venue, backup venue, and backup to the backup Monica called the places and told them about who was going and why they were trouble. She outright lied to all of the places but got them on edge enough to cancel reservations or deny them the booking. The ones that canceled cited legitimate reasons but it was clear that they weren't wanted once they dug deep enough. Those that said they were booked up were given strong reprimands from corporate for lying to a major shareholder but the managers didn't care too much, they mortgaged their career erring on the side of caution vs. having something happen which with Monica was justified in John Finn's eyes even though they ended up losing their jobs when the corporate backlash hit them. Monica's meddling meant the prom had to be held at the high school which made Winnisimmet the laughingstock of the region but they were able to make up for it by hiring a world class DJ that knew Katie and Alison Eliza thanks to being an old friend of their daughter Trinity's birth parents. Ira Roth AKD "DJ Ink" was in the area and finding out that Trinity was staying with them had decided to do the gig as a favor to them and allow him to get in touch with his musical roots while also getting to know his friend's daughter's new family more. Monica was furious that the prom wasn't ruined. She had to hide her anger from her classmates but at home, she was angrily ranting for hours as Jeanie tuned her out while finishing her own work for the evening. Jeanie was tutoring more kids and doing a brisk business in various high-income towns thanks to state-mandated tests and competitive private schools so she actually had something to focus her life on instead of the pettiness of Monica. Jeanie simply told her that her plans were too elaborate and if she really wanted to ruin things then she would have to get dirty herself. Jeanie was no fool, her daughter was going to get expelled based on the way she was finally losing her mind over her obsession with the Finn ladies especially Jaimie Finn. If she was going to go down then she was going to do it where it would cause the most impact and give Jeanie reason to toss her out for good for making her business suffer. Jeanie worked hard to elicit more work from her clients. She never paid a cent in taxes and didn't carry a proper license anymore which made her take her business seriously. Monica's antics would destroy her already volatile business and cause Jeanie to possibly face jail for a slew of crimes like tax evasion. *Prom Night, Winnisimmet High School during the Finn Family picture session* The limo ride was quiet as the cheap limo reeked of beer and cigarettes. The driver was clearly inept at his job and didn't have the right license to drive the limo let alone drive at all. Jeanie simply didn't care anymore and hired whoever she could afford and let Monica deal with it, it was her demand but it wasn't her money being spent. Her date was too old to have been a high school student. The irony of the situation was that thanks to her own attempts to get Jessie Bollinger banned from the prom her date was actually being allowed in, but unlike the Jessie situation, he didn't have permission to be there. If she wasn't careful her date, fittingly named Chandler, would be kicked out leaving her humiliated yet again. There was something off about Chandler that Monica didn't like. The way he was looking at her was as if he was sizing her up for more than just a night of dancing and making people jealous of her, he was looking her over as if he was thinking about her for sex or being used for sex. It was creepy, she was used to being leered at by boys but this was more than just leering. For once Monica felt like she could have a problem with a guy. The two were actually the first to arrive so in her mind, Monica's night was again, "Ruined" as they were under constant watch by the faculty particularly the newly arrived John who was in full police uniform. Chandler tried to act normal but Monica saw that the two were watching one another closely, almost as if they were expecting one to say something about the other. John and Chandler had an uncomfortable talk as the others started to arrive. It took just a second for John to know the truth about Chandler and it made him angry as well as laugh at poor Monica being set up for a huge fall by her own mother. He pitied the poor girl, he knew that this was her own creation but for once it was someone else causing her humiliation instead of herself. The students started to trickle into the gym with all of them giving Monica a glare while congratulating the class officers for making it into a nicely decorated dance hall. They went all out for them, giving the floor a carpet as well as setting up tables and chairs as well as small throne area and picture nook. The banners and bleachers were hidden by bunting and drapes in school colors while fairy lights were draped from the ceiling with the overhead lights dimmed to a match the fairy lights giving it a mystical appearance that was befitting Winnisimmet High. Chandler spent much of his time admiring the girls as they entered and talked with one another. Their dates eyed him angrily as he leered at them with several having to be told to calm down before they did something that they'd regret. To them, it was yet another of Monica's attempts at getting attention and reactions, only this time she was actually innocent to a point as she was oblivious to Chandler's creepy actions and was solely thinking about herself not the ladies and their men. The last few to enter were the eight Finn couples with Jaimie and Richard bringing up the rear. Their grand entrance had all eyes turning toward them. The girls in the junior and senior class hadn't seen just what the eight were going to wear and to their shock and pleasure they were stunning as they were all in dresses that fit their personality perfectly. All eight wore matching dresses, each in a different color. Jaimie had the biggest bust among them and showed the most skin while Jessie had the smallest and covered the most flesh while also showing off her amazing legs thanks to a long slit in the side. Jake Bollinger and many of the faculty had to admit that the girls were stunning and were going to be the talk of the school for weeks for their looks. Monica felt inadequate compared to them. Jessie was already taller, thinner, and had a bigger bust than Monica while sporting the hottest guy in school in Reed. The eight guys were each wearing matching tuxedos and sporting their traditional gold chains and pendants with the girls happily showing off theirs while the guys had theirs hidden but partially visible under their collars. It made Monica jealous at them flaunting their wealth but word reached her that they had all bought them years before most were rich so it was all earned money, not the wealth from other sources that they knew they all had. Monica kept a low profile but a look on Jaimie's face caused her some anger as she studied Monica's dress closely. She saw her whispering to Christina Connors who had a big smile on her face which caused Monica's stomach to turn over. Christina walked over and asked Monica if she liked the dress then added a casual, "Mom said it would go to a girl who deserved a nice dress but I guess she never thought it'd end up with the only person in all of Boston that wouldn't appreciate it." Monica's face drained of all color as she realized who donated the dress while Christina added a happy, "It does look nice on you. I just hope that you don't ruin it when whatever you have planned backfires." Monica tried to come up with something but Christina had walked away leaving her without a comeback and with a few questions to answer regarding her lies about where she really got her dress. Monica was left struggling for the right excuse but Christina wearing the dress at Leslie Sylvester's wedding just before 11th grade caused the excuses to falter as visual proof was there. The other dress that was known to be not new was actually so altered and styled differently that even though it was a match in color they could not be any more different. Jaimie and the girl happily told about the girl's mother altering it after her old dress was ruined with Jaimie giving her mother's shop a lot of new business because of her skill which nobody could deny thanks to her wearing the stunning outcome. Monica fumed more. It was eating at her that the dress was Christina's donation and her mother had lied to her about where it really came from. She was tempted to do something but all eyes turned to the new people entering with all of the adults happily greeting the new couple. Monica used that as an excuse to make a hasty retreat to the bathroom to plot her revenge, this was now the last straw and she needed to retaliate against the girls as she could not let this humiliation go unpunished. Outside the Finn ladies were hugging and kissing the newly arrived adults. Whispers started about who they could be with the name, "Aunt Katie" and, "Aunt Alison" being overheard. Jenna Connors casually explained, "They are our aunts, they never had a chance to go to their own proms because their families were terrible to them so Uncle John and Uncle Jake got them the chance to attend with us as our other chaperones. It's why Uncle Ben and Aunt Beth aren't here tonight, they wanted them to have the night they were denied years ago." Katie was overwhelmed by the girls' attention. Alison gave her the chance to revel in the fun with John asking about their newborn twins Hunter and Bailey as well as their 7-year-old daughter Trinity. Alison happily explained, "Mom and dad are watching the three of them and loving what you did for us. Mom didn't get to do this for Lindsay since she and her friends dressed together elsewhere and Katie was banned from hers. Dad is a bundle of nerves and enjoyed doing this, he can't wait 10 years to do this again for Trinity, Tyler, and Virgil for their prom." Katie was given a big look-over by the ladies and was blushing deeply as it was the most beautiful she had ever felt, aside from her wedding day of course. Jaimie hugged her tight and happily talked with her about anything and everything as if she was one of them even if she was a chaperone for the night. The other ladies as well as their classmates took the hint and joined in with Katie being treated like a big sister to them while getting feelings of enjoyment from experiencing something denied to her. It took a while but one of the girls asked why she was so giddy about being there, surely she had done it before. Katie grew quiet while Jessica explained, "Aunt Katie was barred from attending her prom 20 years ago. She was the first transgender student in Winnisimmet High to attend as a girl. Her birth father got the school to bar her from everything and almost got her barred from graduation until her new parents forced the city council and school committee to allow her to attend. She is getting a chance to do what she was never allowed to do when she was our age plus also keep us out of trouble." Jaimie added, "She is the one who opened the world up for me. If she hadn't known dad I would never have been a girl. She is the one who went through a lot worse things than we ever will and deserved a chance to enjoy herself even if she is officially supposed to be our chaperone for the night. Other than Monica dad knew all of us would be on our best behavior" That got the girls to laugh while Monica had to fight swearing aloud at another of the, "Tranny freaks" getting something handed to them and doing things that they should be barred from being allowed to do. She walked off in anger with Alison asking about her only get a, "Not now" from John. Alison figured there was more to the girl than John could say but the way she reacted to Katie wasn't good. Out of earshot of others, John confessed, "She is the class slut, a perennial loser, the laziest student we ever had- basically every nasty thing you can call someone short of LGBT inspired insults. And they are all earned descriptions as well. She has been harassing Jaimie since they started school and has come close to getting expelled far too many times to count but managed to always get someone to lie or manipulate others to get her off the hook. I take it that she heard why Katie is here and didn't like it. Please don't try to help her, she isn't looking for help and I question whether she could be redeemed anyway. She has had too many chances to do so, she doesn't want to change." Alison sighed and shook her head. If John was telling her to back away the girl was a lost cause. She did ask her history to which John bit his tongue at showing it wasn't a good one but Alison needed to hear it for herself. John sat down and confessed, "She was raised by a vain, manipulative, oversexed, undereducated woman, a teacher no less. She cheated on her husband then divorced him. He then lost custody of his daughters and saw him losing half of his assets to her. She, in turn, abused her younger daughter after she exposed Al in school. She lost her union presidency and her job while all but ignoring her elder daughter's antics for over two years. This allowed Monica to grow into a vain, manipulative, deceitful woman who nearly cost Michael and Deborah their freedom this school year with her lies. She has not shown an ounce of remorse and has always blamed others for her mistakes and any punitive actions taken against her were always others keeping her down." Looking at Chandler he added a quick, "Her mother hired her a prostitute. The way he is acting he may end up going into the pimp business if he isn't already in it. If he wasn't being scrutinized by Jake and Ian I think he would have tried to get a couple of the girls to work for him." Alison nodded, adding, "I give it a few more minutes until he makes his move. He has nothing to lose, he wants the girls. I think Jessie is the most vulnerable as she isn't interacting with the others as much." In the bathroom Monica mixed a special concoction for her revenge. She would let it settle for a while before dumping it on Jaimie. She didn't care that she was going to get kicked out, things had gone too far and she couldn't handle all of the attention on Jaimie while she herself got nothing but humiliation anymore. It was one thing to get upstaged by Jaimie, but to get no attention because of the, "Tranny freak" with them caused the last of her self-control to evaporate and sparking her to finally drop all pretenses of being a good girl and get her revenge once and for all. That wasn't the worst though. John's prediction held true as Chandler started to make his way through the girls and targeted Jessie for a dance. As they were dancing he started to ask her about herself then started to ask uncomfortable questions about having a boyfriend and being with guys or girls. Eventually, she got too uncomfortable as he asked if she wanted to earn some easy money from him. Jessie stormed off as Chandler followed behind. Reed and Ian stood close, ready to strike at him to protect Jessie but held off as Jessie gave them a smirk that would get Chandler trapped in a snare that he couldn't wiggle out of. Jessie just realized exactly what Chandler wanted and knew that he was breaking the law given that she was only 16. She wasn't about to sleep with anyone, her heart belonged to Reed and when she graduated so would her virginity. Jessie asked Chandler point blank, "What do you mean 'if I wanted to earn some easy money' from you?" Chandler grinned and told her, "I know a few people who could use a good looking girl like you for their business. It's a little bit of modeling and picture taking. You are perfect, you could even join in other things they run if you impress them enough. You'd make a small fortune, all you'd have to do was give me a cut of the money you bring in." Jessie asked what kind of pictures, getting Chandler to grin as he showed her a couple. This was a huge mistake as Jessie added:, "I'm only 16, I don't think that's a good idea." Chandler fell for the trap and added, "It's all good, so is she. She's been one of my best money makers since she was 13. You'd get a lot more than her given your natural assets are a lot larger." Ian had to act and arrested him on the spot for enticing a minor and possession of child pornography as he saw the picture before Chandler locked his phone. That stopped everyone in their tracks as Jessie grinned and added, "Your date never told you that Reed is the son of the police chief, he will happily investigate you now. Oh and mom will ensure that your computers and everything you own is searched. Enjoy rotting in prison, scumbag." Ian looked over Chandler's ID and saw it was a fake. He demanded his real name then called for a name check and found out that Chandler had several outstanding warrants and was wanted by the state police for prostitution and enticing minors. Monica had been humiliated yet again, only this time it was Jeanie's fault rather than her own doing. Monica heard the whole encounter and was in tears. She couldn't hold back anymore and went at Jaimie, trying to claw at her dress and expose her breasts to the boys while trying to pour paint over her head. It didn't' work, as she struggled with Jaimie the paint poured over herself soaking her hair in neon green paint but thankfully not getting any on her dress. She only had a small amount of paint with all of it falling on her own head giving her the biggest humiliation of all. That was just the start of things. Since she had actually made contact with Jaimie leaving visible marks and had been witnessed by everyone in attendance there was no way out of the outcome. John had finally blurted out, "It took over three and a half years but you finally graduated from subtle to overt harassment. Congratulations, I will be pressing assault charges on you for what you did this time. You may not like Jaimie but you sure as heck don't have the right to hurt her." Ian placed handcuffs on Monica and led her out, with Ian casually telling her, "She's still under 18, he can and will prosecute. Given your track record in school the judge won't sweep this under the rug. You will have a criminal record now and are getting expelled to boot. Uncle John was right, congratulations on making it to the big time young lady." Monica was in tears as she was led out. Jaimie just shook her head as she adjusted her dress and saw that it didn't have any tears or stains. She happily told the others to dance, she wanted to remember that night for fun not for Monica finally getting kicked out of school which sparked the juniors and seniors to start dancing away while John hugged her tight, kissing her forehead and telling her that he was proud of her for not fighting back and for the woman she had become. Monica's night went from bad to worse as her mother refused to bail her out once she called her. She happily told her, "When you are released, find a new place to live. I warned you to back off, I'm not going to lose my new business because of you. Goodbye, and good riddance." Monica tried to call her father but instead received a visit from him. He wasn't alone, he brought his new girlfriend who Monica knew to be Alice Rodriguez. Monica wanted to say something about Alice but Shea held his hand up and stopped her before she could do something she'd regret. Shea simply told her, "I'll bail you out but I will do so under strict conditions. First is you will spend the night in jail so you see just what you are going to experience if you get out of line again. You have to move into your own apartment and get a real job to support yourself. I don't care if it's a cheap hourly job but you need to earn your keep. Then you will finish your GED or attend the alternative school to finish your diploma. You can forget about college, you have to take care of your legal issues first. You can't get into a school anyway until they are cleared up." He took a breath and added, "You are to stop any attempts at revenge or manipulation as that poor girl has done nothing to you yet you have tried your hardest to make her life miserable since you started high school. And for what? Being different? You wasted your life, you could have been a great student and followed in your mother's or my footsteps but you got led to believe that you could do as you pleased thanks to others doing things for you. Your mother learned this the hard way now you learned it. Those are your options. Break them and I am done with you, I won't help you again. I should have refused to do something but Alice thought that now you might finally see the light." Monica was left to mull things over while Shea and Alice called Jeanie to get Monica's things together while he arranged an apartment for her. They finally found one, it was surrounded by people Alice's father knew and who would keep Monica in line while keeping bad influences away. Jorge Castillo would ensure that Monica got on the straight and narrow again, it was what he did best for the youths of Winnisimmet especially ones who needed a kick in the rear like Monica. Jeanie was less than welcoming to Shea as they packed up Monica's things. She made multiple snide remarks about Alice then made the mistake of insulting Rosalind. Alice grinned and countered with a strong, "I am glad that Rosalind got away from you. You treat her like she is dirt, beat her because you lost your most prized possession due to your own arrogance and stupidity, then have the nerve to insult me for giving her a chance to show her real self then be the mother that you should have been. I don't know whether to rip into you or pity you, you simply are the vilest human being I have ever met." Jorge Castillo stood behind Alice and took over removing Monica's possessions, allowing her to cool down while also giving Jeanie a sense of just how badly she messed up in insulting her daughter and Alice. Jorge went right at Jeanie, he was happy to tell her, "You made a lot of enemies tonight. My people are outside ready to carry out your daughter's things and heard what you said about Rosalind. These are the same people who work for your new employers, the ones you insult behind their backs but who are proud of the job they do for people who respect the hard work they put in. They won't be afraid to tell their bosses just what kind of woman you really are. You may have built a reputation but mine is older and much stronger and is backed by thousands who will stand up for me. Enjoy your job while you can because in two weeks you won't have one. Word of advice: always pay your taxes. I'm sure my daughter-in-law will be in touch with you shortly, she loves easy battles against idiots." Jeanie let out a loud, "You don't scare me! I'll get her in line like all of the rest of you people! You will regret threatening me. I'll have your ass beaten to within an inch of your life for daring to talk down to me! Nobody threatens me, nobody!" As soon as she calmed down and stopped screaming one of Jorge's friends quickly informed her, "His daughter-in-law is the Deputy Attorney General and the mother of the boy that your daughter tried to seduce and whose girlfriend your daughter's date tried to solicit, she loves taking down people like you. He mentioned the taxes for a reason, your ass is getting investigated by the state for not paying income or business taxes. Your bosses are also in trouble for illegally hiring you without performing a proper check and not paying the required taxes for your employment." Alice left with a smile as Shea promptly told Jeanie, "Monica is no longer your problem. We failed her but I am at least going to try to help her straighten out. You should have been doing this all along but you simply didn't want to bother. I don't hate you but I hate what you have become. The woman I fell in love with eroded into a woman I would have avoided and had it not been for the girls I would swear our time together was wasted. Enjoy the rest of your life, I'll try to keep your prison sentence to a decade or less but I don't think Kennedy Pena will be in a giving mood after what that pimp pulled." Outside Alice gave Shea a big kiss that she knew would anger Jeanie. She loved it and had fallen hard for Shea. The two were a hot item and he had treated her like a queen since they had gotten together two months before. Monica's influence over Rosalind had broken quickly but in the 16 months since she had moved in Rosalind had become a new woman. She innocently asked Shea if he was ever going to date again causing him to try to think about maybe getting out on the market again. It took a chance encounter with his lawyer and Alice before Christmas to cause the two to see one another as potential dates with Ricardo facilitating their dating. Rosalind was out with Stephanie Rodriguez and her friends as the two were on a regularly scheduled date when Monica desperately called Shea. Shea looked over at Alice who gave her blessing to help her, but Shea added the conditions. Alice grinned as she called her father Jorge to get him to help and within a few minutes had a whole new apartment for Monica to stay at once she was released. Jorge was happy for the two and could see that it was only a matter of time before the two went further in their relationship. He could see that they were compatible and actually complimented each other's personality quirks. Alice was the orderly one while Shea was imaginative, Alice had the ability to get you to open up while Shea would protect you to the point of almost smothering you. What surprised him more were the three kids getting along. Rosalind was hopeful that Alice would make her dad happy while Stephanie and her brother Raul both hoped that they would give one another something to do giving them independence. All three overlooked flaws to help ensure the relationship thrived on its own without their intervention. Victoria Castillo greeted the couple as they returned from setting up Monica's new apartment. The girls showed Shea the pictures of the 16 going to the prom as well as regaled them with what the had seen from Juan's and John's photo albums. Shea and Alice couldn't help but smile as Stephanie and Rosalind were acting like sisters while Raul ignored them but did so in a brotherly way. Shea told the trio that the two were going away for the weekend and that they would be staying with Victoria and Jorge which got a grumble from Stephanie and Raul while Rosalind looked to Shea for clarification. Shea had to explain that it was simply that they needed some time alone and that she was mature enough not to need him around all the time while Victoria added that she wasn't going to be in any trouble and it was something they had planned for two months. The families split for the night with Shea explaining to Rosalind that her mother had finally cost herself that night. Rosalind didn't ask how or why she only told him, "Monica deserved to go to jail a long time ago. You are a good dad, you didn't need to help her again. Mom isn't mom, I hope you and Ms. Rodriguez are going to marry so you get a good wife so we can forget about the old one." That little bit of anger warmed Shea as he had her approval for marriage. Alice got the same response from Stephanie while Raul was indifferent. As long as Shea loved her, he was alright with Shea possibly being his stepfather and as long as thy were treated well he didn't want to stand in the way of his mother's happiness. While Shea was helping Monica the prom was getting into full swing. Monica's departure and Jaimie all but ignoring what happened caused the DJ to get things going better as he saw that as the opening for the dancing to start. Jaimie was the first onto the floor with Rick being dragged along for the ride leading others to follow along causing their classmates to join them en masse. Jaimie was a great dancer and Rick was a poor one but the two were the ones to lead all of the dancing for the first set. It was infections as their energy revitalized everyone. Even John got into the act as he, Katie, and Alison danced together with DJ Ink playing some hits from their era getting them smiling and enjoying the fun as the teens joked and cheered. DJ Ink had a long chat with Alison and Katie in between sets and got to know them. He loved that they had taken in Trinity for all of the right reasons and loved her as their own despite being so similar to her. He told them about his connection to her and how she was like a niece to him but one that sadly he never got to see very often due to his schedule. Trinity was a darling who took after her birth parents in personality and talents but didn't want to be a musician like them. He understood why she didn't want to, her heart was set on being a normal person with a normal life but being around musicians was still possible even if she didn't tour which Alison was happy to allow her to do especially given her own hidden musical talents. The teens asked who Trinity was with Jaimie happily telling them, "She's their daughter, she's a seven-year-old version of Aunt Katie but with Aunt Alison's abilities. She's amazing and is going to make a great big sister when the twins get older." The teens left things alone as they realized just what Jaimie meant. Her subtle nodding just confirmed what was suspected from the little they knew about Katie. It was sweet in their eyes that she had so much of an impact on people in such a short time Jaimie was happy to do things for her aunt given how much of an impact Katie had on her life before she even met Jaimie and how much of a person she had become since meeting her. Katie helped her a lot in the time since she met her and had grown to be Jaimie's closest confidant with the subtle nudge from John and Alison after their talk the previous summer. She could talk with Katie about anything and had actually gone to Katie for help with the constant abuse from Monica since school started. Monica had actually worn down Jaimie's nerves and if she hadn't gone after Michael, Jessie, and Deborah she may have finally caused Jaimie to snap. Katie kept her focused on not doing anything and was the one to have Deborah look at Monica's work closely while emailing Randy Leeds about Monica's efforts to go after Reed through Jessie. It was the little kick in the ego that kept Monica from going after Jaimie directly that year and the distraction that Jaimie needed to ensure that she did better emotionally as she dealt with her new brother and sister at a time both needed their new siblings. Monica hadn't realized that Jaimie was on the verge of losing her composure or that she had harmed Jaimie emotionally to the breaking point. If she had known, Jaimie would have had her complete focus and from that she would have gotten her to lash out the way she wanted with Monica and Jeanie calling for Jaimie's expulsion while crying to the media about the school coddling and protecting Jaimie at the expense of, "Innocent" students. In addition to the subtle maneuvering, Katie had also kept a close eye on Jeanie which was how John knew about Chandler's real life. They couldn't do anything about Chandler before he struck but some prompting to Reed to stay close to Jessie while telling Ian to look up Chandler's real name once he had finally stepped over the line brought about his downfall. She loved the teens of the family like her own nieces and nephews and even if she wasn't at the prom she would have done the same thing for Ian, Jessie, and Jaimie. Her one regret was that Jaimie almost got hurt by Monica. Jaime just shrugged it off, it was better that she have her meltdown there than at the school where she may have gotten help from others who thought they could take advantage of the situation and get some of their own prejudices out on her. It was horrible seeing Monica grab Jaimie but it was something that had to happen then and there for all involved if only for Jaimie's sake. After two hours of dancing and a well-made dinner, the awards were presented. The juniors were all smiles as Jessie was nominated and actually won Prom Princess alongside Reed's Prom Prince but officially, "Abdicated" in favor of one of the junior girls. It was all staged as she wasn't technically eligible but juniors and seniors wanted the couples to be together with a special photo taken to show handing off the crown to the one who would have won had she not gone with Reed. As expected, Jaimie and Rick won Prom King and Prom Queen. Some of the jerks in their class voted for Jaimie to be Prom King but those were tossed out with the boys who did it getting detention and having their prom tickets revoked. The same tickets were given to several guys and girls who couldn't afford to go with two of them ending up dating as they joined together as a couple for the night. Jaimie took it in stride, Katie had told her to think positive and look on the bright side which to her was a loving couple coming together after having a blessing bestowed on them by people who didn't deserve to attend. The couple actually ended up being in both major newspapers as they kissed during a slow dance and had the lighting perfect at that moment. The school talked about the shot, it was a one in a million shot but one that lived on in school history. The rest of the prom court were filled in with Courtney Bollinger and Michael Finn as the 2nd runner-ups and Stacy Lopez and Scott Nelson as the first runner-ups. The two couples kissed deeply while Jaimie rolled her eyes at her cousin and brother trying to upstage her for laughs. Poor Monica actually finished 6th overall, behind two dark horse candidates who didn't really try to run as they were simply trying to ensure that Monica didn't get close and found some support among the outcasts who had the same idea as them and would have gotten Jaimie, Courtney, and Stacy's support to win the titles over them had the trio known about those plans. Monica actually finished 15th among the seniors in voting but had manipulated or slept with so many juniors that she earned a higher than normal spot. She actually finished 2nd among them with Jaimie winning outright among both classes. All of her hard work was for nothing, all she had to show for it was several boxes of condoms and a lot of dirty bed sheets. The prom broke up once the court had their solo dances with all of the adults joining them in a final dance. Jaimie and John danced together with Jaimie smiling brightly at her father then hugging him tightly as the song ended. John handed her off to Rick who kissed her deeply to calm her. Rick was soon followed by the other six senior Finn Family guys who then promptly dropped to one knee and showed rings that they had kept in their pockets all night. A collective gasp went through their classmates as the ladies looked at one another in shock. Jaimie, Stacy, Courtney, Jenna, Christina, Jessica, and Claire Peterson all said a tear-filled, "Yes" to their seven boyfriends. John shed a tear of his own, his three teens were engaged to two lovely girls and a young man that he will be proud to one day call, "Son". Katie and Alison were in tears as well, it was beautiful with Alison proudly announcing, "She really is my most successful patient and I am both happy and saddened to see her become an adult. She will do well with Dr. Bell, I can't wait for the day when Kylie and Nichole join Mia as her patients as well." Jake came over and asked John, "How did they do it without the family rings?" John happily announced, "They have them. Will has the Peterson ring, Claire needed that ring more than my mother's. Michael used his grandmother's ring, Miles wanted him to use it as he was the first to date and has the strongest bond to his girlfriend. Miles used my mother's ring, Hannah, Paige, and Emma were doing their best to hold onto it until he begged them for the right to have it. Rick used his grandmother's ring, that's why he was over your house yesterday and why he avoided you today. He didn't want to give the big secret away and tip off the girls. You know how Amy and Al can be with him." The one who had the worst of them was George Daniels who had to endure Anne Connors' questioning but also had to explain to his father Mike why he should be allowed to marry the girl who Mike had helped raise from a baby. It was a lot of fun for both Anne and Mike as they had always envisioned their children marrying and with them on the cusp of doing so they had fulfilled a long hidden oath to Anne's deceased husband George Connors to try to get them together one day if Anne and Mike didn't fall in love themselves before the kids did. The whole group walked out to their limos with Katie and Alison being the last ones to exit. John happily told them to leave their car at the school as Valerie was going to drive it back in a bit. The seniors thought it was odd that the four limos that the Finn Family got into didn't head for a hotel, John just smirked and happily pointed out, "They'd have to explain to a group of 32 tweens and kids plus multiple infants and toddlers why they didn't come back home. They don't need to have sex tonight to make this the night of their lives, they already did that with their proposals." Being the father to three and uncle to four more he was hard to argue against. John just grinned and left in his own car after helping clean up with Jake asking if that was really why they didn't go to hotels. He nodded, adding, "Do you really want Cat and JD to ask the three if they had sex? Logan would faint from embarrassment while Ella would never let the trio hear the end of it! I swear Logan is becoming just as sensitive as I was, I never realized how much I loved being a father until he came into our lives. The boy is me at the same age and I could not be happier with him as my son." At home Logan was still awake and saw the six teens enter and give each other goodbye kisses. Jaimie blushed as she saw him with Logan smiled back at her. Rick hugged her goodbye and tussled Logan's hair, with Logan hugging him goodbye as he spotted Jaimie's ring. Valerie Finn walked in after Rick left and didn't bother to ask what happened, she told the trio to get ready for their cousins to come by in the morning. Logan hugged Jaimie with Jaimie kissing his cheek and telling him proudly, "You made dad's night by being a great brother. He told Uncle Jake just how much you mean to him and it's true- you are the son he needed. You make him into a better dad." The weekend turned into a constant stream of visitors as the seven couples endured relatives coming by to greet them and congratulate them. Rick had the toughest time as his sister Al had him wiggling in embarrassment over having to beg their aunt for his grandmother's ring. Jorge and Victoria were hard on Eric Vincent as he had to ask for Jorge's mother's ring with Jorge smiling the whole time as Victoria got to do something she had never believed she would be able to do as she had been unable to have kids herself and only had children through adult adoptions. The family never noticed the new girl who quietly stayed in her room while visitors came by. Rosalind didn't want to be the center of attention and with Stephanie and Raul out with their girlfriends she was left to herself at Victoria and Jorge's apartment. Nobody noticed the bedroom door closed or the TV inside playing, everyone seemed to be focused on the two which was what Rosalind wanted. Sunday evening Alice and Shea returned with blushing faces as the two elders shook their heads and smiled. Raul and Stephanie's faces went white with Alice showing off a new gold ring on her finger. Rosalind stared at them in shock while Shea carefully explained, "We enjoyed our time together and felt it was right to make our union official. We went to justice of the peace at the casino and married." Stephanie hugged Shea while Rosalind shed a tear. She hugged Alice who hugged her back. Raul didn't move, he looked Shea over then asked pointedly, "What about us?" Alice looked at Shea who offered a solemn, "We didn't want to do anything without your approval. I know about the past issues with relatives trying to get at kids for their money so I wanted to ask if you would let me do the honor of being your father, not just your stepfather. Rosalind, I was hoping that you would allow Alice to do the same and become your mother not just your stepmother." Rosalind hugged Alice tight, crying and saying, "Thank you" over and over again as the gravity of the situation finally hit her. Raul simply nodded to Shea while Stephanie hugged him tightly. The five left with Victoria and Jorge chuckling at the man getting in way over his head with Stephanie wanting a real father and Raul on the cusp of manhood and needing a positive figure to talk to about things that he couldn't talk about with Alice and wouldn't with his uncle Ricardo. Shea was that person now. Word reached Ricardo via his son Diego with Ricardo almost collapsing as he had never envisioned Alice going so far so fast with Shea. Ricardo's husband Alex just smiled and happily pointed out, "That's what a brother is supposed to feel regarding his sister. She found a new man in her life and he is willing to be the man for Raul and father that Stephanie always needed while Alice gets to be the mother Rosalind needs given how close she is to becoming a woman herself." The others left Alice and Shea alone as Shea dealt with the legal issues of marriage to Alice that included not signing a prenuptial agreement. He grinned as he worked out just what would happen if he strayed from Alice, giving her half of his fortune and their home. He then had a small sum given to Alice if she cheated on him with both splitting custody of their children. Shea smiled as he realized he now had a son who could follow in his footsteps. He already knew that he may have an aptitude for engineering but needed some guidance. Alice was thrilled that Shea was opening Raul's future simply by showing him that he understood him and wanted to help him. Thanks to his weekend with Alice Shea didn't bail out Monica right away. He was going to have Ricardo do it on his behalf in the morning but he received word from Kennedy Pena that Monica was in deep trouble and he needed to speak with her immediately. Shea knew that Monica had done something that was beyond his ability to help, she had broken serious laws that had nothing to do with the assault on Jaimie at the prom. The State Police had been told about Chandler's activities and gotten search warrants for his home and all electronic devices he owned. Once they had gotten those they expanded their search to those involved with him. It took only a few hours but they turned up all of his hidden videos and hundreds of thousands of images of local high school girls including several who were being tutored by Jeanie. Jeanie was investigated as a warrant for her home was undertaken. Unfortunately for Monica, the state troopers found the camera as well as her laptop which still held the videos of the boys having sex with one another as well as Monica having sex with them. Given that she was over 18 and they were still only 14 she was in major trouble with Jeanie having to explain what was going on in her own home to the troopers and struggling to find an answer that didn't implicate herself in a worse crime. Jeanie ratted out Monica which was proven by statements from the boys as they were interviewed next. Monica's threats to them caused the DA and Attorney General to go after her for as many crimes as they could muster. Jeanie was slapped with charges of accessory after the fact as well as criminal enticement and criminal pandering once she unintentionally admitted to setting up Chandler's business and getting a cut of his profits when she thought she was going to get off easy. Jeanie miscalculated just how much trouble she was really in. She was still on probation from her assault charges against Monica and Rosalind making her have to endure actual prison this time. She tried to blame it on Monica but it was her own undoing as her greed had taken over her common sense. Monday morning Monica was brought to Winnisimmet District Court. She growled loudly about her mistreatment and that she should have been released but the court officers ignored her complaints. She didn't see her father in the court and demanded to know where he was only to be told:, "He will be here and will speak to your lawyer later." Monica waited as Chandler was arraigned first. Judge Matthews read the charges and simply denied him bail as he was a clear flight risk and was a danger to children and women. Chandler had a long criminal history which Jeanie had ignored in favor of getting what she needed from him, she was lucky that he didn't get upset as he was known to assault women who angered him.
