Percy introduced the couple as Francesca and Donald Bollinger, with
Francesca happily telling Taylor, "I don't use my married name because I
don't want Donald harassed so I'm billed as my maiden name of 'Herman'
for all things." Taylor nodded as she recognized the names from the
boys. She was so lost in thought that Francesca added, "Don't think too
much into it, you'd never believe the intricate web that makes up our
family. Few can without consulting an index."
The group moved into the dining room and ate a fabulous meal then moved
on to the large family room to discuss the movie plans. Donald remained
quiet throughout the discussion, letting Francesca do the talking while
Taylor was peppered with questions. She answered to the best of her
ability and gave the impression of being able to perform the job but
needed to practice and see the set first.
Percy broached the topic that Taylor had raised earlier in the day, that
of a movie based on the life of the evolving Finn Family. The way Percy
pitched it, he was trying to make Taylor the one who had the idea but it
was really him trying to get Francesca to go along with the plans even
if she'd see through it right away. She listened intently and nodded at
places, letting Donald think about John Finn's reaction.
Francesca finally asked, "Was it your idea or someone else's idea?"
Taylor confessed, "All I did was give the idea a shot. His life needs
telling, especially as it has helped so many people." Francesca grinned
at her husband who rolled his eyes at her putting the spotlight on him
with him shooting back, "Like you aren't involved. Heck, you are
involved in it a lot more than I am- especially at the start."
Francesca asked what were their ideas then nodded at the first four
years of the family is a good place to start, especially as the first
and second years were quick to blend together. She listened as she was
told that they wanted her to star as Valerie Finn, getting a quick, "No.
I'm too young. Plus I can't be the star and an adviser for the movie.
There are other women who'd be better fits. I might even play my own
mother in the third movie, when Uncle John started teaching."
That was the segue that they needed to move things along. Taylor nodded
to Percy then asked, "Has the family told you about me? I don't want you
to risk your career or upset your family due to my being transgender. I
would prefer that you find someone else if I'm going to negatively
impact your career for being thought of as associated with me."
Francesca had to stifle a laugh while Donald scowled at his wife. He
took charge and told her, "She will be fine with you. Our friend is
transgender, as are three of my sisters' friends and her 2nd-cousin."
Francesca pulled herself together then confessed, "On both sides of our
family are transgender people. Uncle John surely told you about Jaimie,
well she's not the only one. Heck, your sons played with a few of the
youngest transgender kids as they were playing when you went to dinner.
You won't hurt my career and if someone tried to use you as a reason for
harming me they will get the full force of my lawyers as well as find
themselves on the receiving end of having their films pulled by the
studios. I'm one of the executive producers on this movie along with
Uncle John, Percy and his studio are releasing it but it's our money on
the line. We won't accept any sort of discrimination and will make sure
anyone blackballing me pays dearly for doing so."
She had fire in her eyes while Donald calmly added, "She really is
putting her own money on the line. She wanted you because you are the
right fit physically and visually. Your training as a wrestler enables
you to be able to to do the job on paper but she wants to ensure that
you can do it in person. We don't want you getting hurt on her behalf.
You are asking the right questions and want the right visuals first
before you even set foot in front of the camera, it's what we wanted in
you."
They laid out the plans for the scenes and the visit to the sets to
familiarize Taylor with the scene so she could visualize what she needed
to do before the director told her what to do. When they finished,
Francesca asked about Betty and the boys. Taylor sighed and explained,
"With my grandparents. Betty is acting as a tutor for my cousins while
their mother settles their school issues. The boys are probably in the
pool swimming while Betty rests. The baby is hitting her harder this
time than the previous two."
That caught Francesca by surprise to which Taylor blushed and added,
"It's a surprise to us but it's the last piece of Matt that'll be
around. There's no reason to retain semen for the future, we don't need
to." Francesca understood, with Donald giving her the classic, "Don't
even think about it yet" look as he had made clear many times before
that he didn't want her giving up her career for motherhood.
The meeting broke up, but first Francesca asked about Sally as she
wasn't acting like her normal self. Percy explained what happened then
had Francesca shoot back, "Jo and Phyllis are going to rip them to
shreds. I saw what they will do to people who hurt our friends, they
aren't going to get away with it and are going to be hurting for money
from now on. I almost feel sorry for her ex-boyfriend...almost."
The couple left and saw Sally ask what that was about. Percy grinned and
told her, "Her friend is one of the people the Kaplans went to war for.
She's seen what they can do and will talk with them about you. The
Kaplan twins are powerful, but having Francesca's support will force the
junior partners at the firm to take your cases seriously and force the
Fairbanks family to leave you alone or face their wrath."
The next morning was a flurry of activity as the twins and Sally dealt
with school while Faye dealt with social services and the angry
Pickford/Fairbanks families. She had the Kaplans with her as she met
with them at the Kaplans' office and enjoyed seeing the two families
squirm under the questions by the appointed social worker while trying
hard to claim innocence yet falling into a web of lies that each family
tried to weave. The Fairbanks family were given restraining orders on
behalf of social services with the Kaplans ensuring that any violation
would lead to criminal charges while the Pickfords were in a constant
state of defense as their attempts to sell their daughter's freedom to
Charlie Fairbanks ended up with the couple seeing their daughter removed
from their care permanently and placed with Faye at Faye, Percy, Taylor,
and Sally's request.
Taylor enjoyed the drive to the set, meeting Francesca and Donald at the
gate and getting a personal tour as the couple talked about the scenes
while enjoying Taylor's looks of concentration. She was the right fit
for Francesca, she was dedicated to doing her job and wouldn't let
anyone break her focus. It was her job to perform the stunts, she wanted
to do them right and safely without banter or distractions.
The director, Steven Howard, was there and complained about them being
late, only to be told that they were early and he was getting on
Francesca's nerves. He was about to say something when he noticed Taylor
and tried to get her thrown off "his" set. She just grinned and happily
told him, "Do it and you are out as well. I put up with your antics
because I respect your ability to produce top quality movies but I won't
let you act like a tyrant anymore. You are wasting MY money, alongside
my uncle's so please continue on as I am more than happy to find someone
who will act civilized and show that they need their job instead of
trying to act like they own the place. You are on your last legs and
probably won't get another movie so if I fire you, you are back to
directing community theater in North Dakota!"
He scoffed at her while Donald casually explained to the man, "Taylor
Turner is the niece of the studio head and granddaughter of GCW
Entertainment's owner. By all means, toss her out. You'd be lucky if you
aren't put on the blacklist of every other studio by the end of the day.
That's in addition to being fired by Inferno. Inferno doesn't mess
around and to be fired by them is tantamount to admitting that you are
trying to hurt your movies unless you get your way. The old days of
ruling with an iron fist are long gone, you aren't working for Weinberg
Pictures- you are working for Inferno and we won't take any of your crap
anymore!"
The trio walked on, with Francesca talking with the 2nd unit director
about Taylor. He listened to her and asked if she was serious about
having an untrained double, telling her that she could do it herself but
knowing that she was set on Taylor doing it. Taylor had the "acting"
credit through her wrestling so she could react the right way to the
slaps and punches but how she handled the grappling was a worry.
The other stunt performers were practicing so Taylor stretched and got
her mindset right as she was shown what the director wanted to do and
how to do it. It was simple fighting, but she had never fought as a
woman before let alone wearing a dress, bra, and panties. The director
showed her what he wants to do then had her work with the actress before
going through several trial runs of the stunt.
It took several tries but she got the right sequence of reactions down.
She worked with the actress to do the proper motions and got the right
amount of, "Oomph" into the slaps and punches to sell the hits. She was
actually enjoying the job, the actress was smiling while Taylor sold her
moves and got her the idea that the scene was going to be a big hit with
the main director.
Taylor was moved over to makeup and wardrobe and spent far too long
getting the look right. She had to endure her hair being styled then her
eyebrows pluck and shaped then finally having her fitted with a set of
false breasts that matched Francesca's size. She was "all natural" as
the makeup artists joked, to which Taylor shot back a defensive, "She
doesn't need silicone and saline to look like a bombshell."
Taylor's "little secret" was whispered about among the makeup artists to
which Taylor angrily told them, "I am a happily married woman with kids
and a third on the way. What I have in my panties doesn't matter to
anyone but my wife so whatever you have against transgender people shove
it where it hurts."
She stormed out and left them looking pissed, while Francesca smirked
and happily told the crew, "You are finished here, we will have
replacements tomorrow. Don't even think about trying to go to the press,
they'd love to know why you felt the need to make homophobic and
transphobic remarks about various members of the crew. Don't try to sue,
you violated your contracts with Inferno Pictures."
Francesca happily put on her own makeup and walked out to watch Taylor's
big scene. She was slapped hard by the actress then tumbled over a
table, landing on her side with a resounding "thud." She waited for the
director to call, "Cut," and give her a cue, he was pleased with the
shot and did another take just to be sure that Taylor landed the right
way.
The second take as just like the first, with Taylor selling the slap
while making it look worse than it was. She was done for the day, all
she had to do was wait for Francesca to finish her shots and enjoy the
other side of a movie alongside Donald. He was watching intently,
keeping an eye on the actors in case they got a little too frisky with
Francesca as some of them had been known to do.
Taylor was standing around and got noticed by one of the casting people
and asked to take a bit part in the movie due to an actress not
appearing as scheduled and there being nobody available to fill the
role. She tried to refuse but agreed to do it provided they not get into
any union trouble. She read her part and by luck, all she had to do was
step in when one of the actors was getting frisky with the ladies,
overextend his wrist in a simple wrist lock, then say a quick line which
the other ladies laughed at.
Francesca had to hide her glee as Taylor swapped out her dress for the
dress that the actress was going to wear, restyled her hair to match the
style the actress was supposed to wear, and did her part while the crew
looked on. It was a quick shot that was needed as part of a scene and
could be re-shot when the actress returned, but it was done right the
first and second time. Taylor was glad to be out of the dress and into
her normal clothes and had to calm herself as she enjoyed the rest of
the shooting for the day before they ended when the light faded on them.
Francesca calmed Taylor regarding her part, telling her lovingly, "You
nailed it in one take, she couldn't do that in five takes without almost
breaking the poor guy's wrist. You will have another two scenes to do
tomorrow, alongside your second scene with the stunt crew. Don't worry
about things, it's just a line of dialog that will be lost in the
overall scheme of the movie. The only reason you were so important is
that your scene today sets up the final scenes that we already shot."
Back at the Turner house, Taylor recalled the day and happily told Faye
and Percy, "I can't believe I was on camera! I never dreamed of doing
anything but wrestling but to actually do something in a movie? I don't
know how Francesca does it but she has the patience of a saint, I could
barely stay still."
Percy just grinned and told her the bad news, "You will have more scenes
than that, the young lady that you replaced quit over your inclusion as
a stunt double. She tried to lie to Francesca and Steven but got caught
in her lie. She killed her own career, nobody will hire her anymore
especially when she bailed so dramatically and insulted the executive
producer's own daughter in doing so."
Taylor felt like she was set up, but Faye countered with an
understanding, "It was a stunt on her part. It was meant to get her a
bigger part in the movie but it failed badly. She tossed it all away on
her own. She is just a hack who got her part because she knows Steven
from a previous project and her family is one of the 'elite' acting
families- but she's terrible and coasts by on her looks and name alone."
The ladies let it go while the twins gave her the gossip from school.
The changeover for Sally was easy as the school feared the Kapans' power
while the Charlie Fairbanks ended up getting expelled for trying to
corner Sally just before the bell sounded to start the day. He got a
swift kick in the balls by her when he slapped her, causing him immense
pain.
Bart happily dragged the whimpering Charlie to the main office and told
the principal that either he got expelled or Bart would ensure the
principal was fired for allowing Charlie into school in violation of the
restraining order against him. He wasn't joking, he called the Kaplans
who had the police take the still reeling Charlie into custody then had
additional assault charges added onto the preexisting ones. The officers
went easy on him, but his overacting made the school see just how much
of a fraud he was as they happily told him to stop the acting before
they took him to the hospital to check on his testicles.
It turned out Sally had actually hurt him badly by crushing one and all
but making the second useless. He was going to need testosterone patches
for the rest of his life due to the loss, he would be lucky to father
children but having done so already it wasn't an issue anymore. Sally
felt bad for him but Kate got her to see that he did it to himself and
she wasn't to blame for protecting herself from his attack.
Taylor looked down at Sally and nodded to her, he had his legacy so him
losing out on knocking-up some poor girl was for the best. She was
showing that she was a good person inside, something that was clearly
lost on the Pickfords. Taylor was proud of her, it was the toughest
thing that you could do but she did it with strength and dignity and
showed the school that she wasn't afraid anymore.
Taylor called Betty and talked with her for a bit then talked with the
boys about their days. Vinny was upset at doing so much school work
until he saw his cousins doing the same and getting stuck with more than
he had. Davis just colored and drew, he had mastered writing his name
but being the typical 3-year-old that he was it was tough to keep him
occupied so watched a lot of TV and swam.
The twins got a kick out of seeing Taylor's softer side while Sally felt
a bond with Taylor. She felt like she was seeing the future with the
boys and oddly felt like things were going to be alright for her. The
twins didn't dare ask what she was thinking about, her smile forced them
to let her have her moment.
The next morning, Taylor performed her second stunt scene and ended up
performing additional ones as the character that she was portraying now
had her own as she fought off an unwanted lover while she was saved by
the guy she was in love with. Taylor did a fine job of enduring the
holds and showed her counterpart how to make it look painful while just
turning his own wrist to meet the movement. Her background in wrestling
came in handy, he appreciated the tip and got a better take than they
expected.
The acting scenes were simple background movements that required her to
walk and interact with the actresses while Francesca spoke in the
foreground, letting the ladies hold a real conversation as they filmed.
It was fun, with Taylor telling them that it was tougher trying to act
with guys who were doing an exaggerated move than it was with guys
trying to make it look real. They all agreed, especially as Taylor would
know best about both worlds of acting.
Steven asked what they were talking about when they were finished, with
them all joking, "Sports." He didn't believe them until Taylor
countered, "We were talking about how hard it is to make a scene look
natural compared with trying to make it look natural but exaggerated."
He asked what the difference was, to which she told him, "Acting is
looking like you are in pain, selling is being in pain but trying to not
appear to be in pain then later appearing to be dying from getting your
head bashed in."
The crew laughed hard at that, with Francesca joking, "Aw come on,
surely a chair shot isn't that bad." Taylor smirked and asked if
Francesca would like one, then proceeded to have one swung at herself
with her bracing at the incoming hit. She showed the resulting marks and
added, "Acting is tough, but acting live, under pressure, and trying to
not show that you are hurt when you are feeling like your arm is on fire
or your legs went numb is even tougher" letting the words sink in while
hiding her smirk.
Taylor took a regular folding chair to the back, not a special breakaway
chair that normally got used by stunt crews during fight scenes. She
showed the crew that she wasn't an actress while showing that it took a
lot more to be a professional wrestler than they realized, more so than
just mouthing off and pretending to be hurt. She loved that she had
gotten on over on a bunch who needed the shock while impressing
Francesca even more by letting Francesca harm her to prove a point.
The return to the Turner mansion was in silence while Taylor let the
aspirin she was handed by Donald take hold. It was the unmentioned side
effect of the wrestling business, pain comes afterward but can be
managed if you can hold off on it. Far too many gave in to the pain and
became addicted to painkillers and other drugs, Taylor refused them even
when she should have but the doctor in her wouldn't let her take
anything addictive as she knew it was a temporary pain not a lingering
one.
The twins wanted more gossip, so Taylor happily told them about what she
did and got laughs at doing the unexpected. She showed them the red
marks that she had, then added, "Francesca knew where to hit, most
people would have hit me in the head but she went for my back. There's
no bracing for headshots, you get concussed from it easily especially if
you get hit by the top of the seat instead of the back of it."
Sally was quiet during dinner and went to her room without saying much.
Taylor went to check on her and saw her cuddled on her bed crying. She
hugged the teen and offered her a somber, "The whispers will die down
after a while, especially when you show that you aren't letting them
hurt you. Take it from someone who has been there before: their real
faces of people start to eventually show and people won't like them at
all. Be strong, and let the twins support you. You'll do well, just give
it time."
Sally thanked her and fell asleep, with the twins trying to ask what
happened only to be told, "Keep an eye on her. Charlie has proxies doing
his dirty work and the rumors are wearing her down. She's holding
together but she is struggling to not break apart. She needs them to die
down quickly if they last much longer she might have a breakdown which
won't be good for anyone."
The twins agreed and got out their big book of secrets and blackmail
material and started to cash in on some of them. Taylor didn't ask what
was going on, only insisting that they keep it legal. The twins gave her
a smirk, with Kate happily telling her, "We are simply calling in favors
owed to us. These are the only people who could get everyone to leave
Sally alone. Short of her becoming our sister nobody will back off from
her. It'll take a day, but we have enough to pull the proper strings to
make things happen our way and get Sally to be left alone for good."
The twins spent the rest of the evening texting and talking on their
phones with a variety of people. It was cringe-inducing yet was also
funny as they held the keys to multiple lives being ruined or toppled by
bad behavior that they covered-up out of friendship. They showed the
offenders just how they were willing to destroy evidence in order to
protect Sally, forcing their friends to either stop the rumors in their
tracks or see their hard-earned facades crumble under the weight of the
truth about their lives.
She listened and questioned what the big deal was about several who were
gay, getting looks of shame and sadness with Kate telling her, "Their
parents are big on image especially their own. If they came out to them
they'd be plastered across every channel and starring in some bad
reality show. They aren't like their parents, they want to actually work
for a living and will write or produce in the future- not act."
Taylor backed away in shame, it was a world that she'd never understand
but was glad that the twins are using it to the advantage of Sally
instead of furthering their personal standings among the teens. It was
tough to not tell them that it was wrong, but it was the wrong thing for
the right reasons. Sometimes, it was better to allow something to happen
than to act and cause worse damage later on.
Faye smiled at Taylor and whispered to her, "Their friends are the best
kids they know. They won't hurt them, they will stand by them. They have
all of their support no matter what their parents try to do."
The next day was Taylor's final day of action sequences, but saw
complaints from Aubrey Woods, the actress whose role she was now
playing, spewing that he stole her part and had the Screen Actors Guild
after them for using a non-union employee in a role. Ever the smartass,
Francesca casually told her that Taylor had not violated any rules as
she is now required to be part of the guild due to her three days of
work and as a stunt performer she is automatically eligible to join the
guild. Donald cited the rules and regulations, and carefully asked if
Aubrey was aware that as a professional wrestler working on the
company's studio production that Taylor was exempt from the initial
fines thus was actually in the clear and Aubrey had just violated her
own contract in multiple ways by intentionally trying to harm the film
by going after Taylor and threatening them with union action.
He grinned, cited Aubrey's contract's clauses regarding behavior and how
she had been fired the movie the day before due to her attempt to
sabotage the film by trying to extort it for more money after being
fired from the role for her erratic and insulting behavior that until
that moment had been unpunished and unknown to anyone except the
producers at Inferno of which Francesca and he were. Taylor wisely kept
quiet, with all eyes falling on Aubrey as she tried to find the right
words to defend herself but was failing miserably. Donald called over to
the security officer who was standing beside her and had him escort
Aubrey out and banned from the movie from then on.
The media were outside the studio and had a lot of questions for Aubrey,
which was humiliating for her as she was disheveled, angry, and fighting
the officer while muttering profanities. Her tirade ended up being
captured on camera, with her homophobic and transphobic statements
causing her a firestorm of trouble as she saw the news and comedians
tearing her apart over her hypocritical behavior as she was supposed to
be one of the biggest supporters of gay and transgender people in
Hollywood. She was now the laughingstock of the Hollywood world and
wasn't going to get another role for a while.
Filming was slow as there were multiple reshoots due to shadows and
clouds but Taylor didn't mind the waiting as the ladies were respectful
to her. She was asked to be in several other stunt scenes as she was
just too perfect of a fit for the other actresses, giving her a full
week of action on top of her few scenes that were reshot with her in
them instead of Aubrey. She actually did better in the shoots than
Aubrey had done, for someone who was becoming a prima donna on set,
Aubrey had very little to actually do in the scenes yet made herself the
focus while Taylor just went about the scene casually.
Francesca happily enjoyed the scenes that the two were involved in, with
the two having a chemistry that wasn't shared with others. As the
character was meant to be one of Francesca's character's closest friends
it worked better than expected. Francesca put in more feeling into her
scenes and when she was left behind by all but a few friends during the
film's climax, her going to Taylor's character instead of one of the
other actresses gave the scene more power as Taylor reacted without
thinking and consoled her the way a friend would and not what Steven
wanted but couldn't refuse as their simple unintentional display was a
better reaction than the one he envisioned.
The movie ended with a huge fight involving the rival parties in a field
overlooking the town, which was a long drive for all and required a stay
in a hotel for everyone. Taylor spent much of her time on the phone with
Vince and Stacy as they talked about an emergency involving one of the
women in the NEW and how they could fix it. Taylor's thinking and
spouting off of names caused a laugh from the film's ladies but showed
that Taylor knew her stuff and could plot a fight without much prompting
as a lot of the reactions that she was telling them to use to give the
wrestler an on-camera kayfabe injury were close to the kind of action
she had done with them in their fight scenes.
It helped the next day as the stunt performers met to go over the scene
and practice for the fight that night. Taylor spotted a few problems
with shadowing and lighting that would cause them to struggle to hide
that the grappling wasn't real, getting them to change a couple of holds
while enduring the hits from the errant punches and slaps. She was
right, as her version of the fight was better suited for the way the
lighting was going and allowed them to hide the cameras better and make
the fight look much more dangerous- as if they really were trying to
hurt one another.
She felt great pride at improving the scene, especially as she would
have the most amount onscreen time in the scene as both an actress and
as one of the stunt people involved in the fighting. Her acting
character wasn't involved in the scene, she would arrive too late to
stop the fight. She would help clear the aftermath by driving the
protagonists away while the antagonists were left on the ground in pain
and trying to explain to their friends and family why they had chosen to
harm the protagonists instead of leaving them alone as they had sworn to
do earlier in the film.
That was the last of the filming for Taylor as the rest were scenes with
other cast members or just the two principal actors. She didn't need to
do other stunt work either as the movie only really had a few scenes of
action due to it being a romantic dramedy, one of the genres movies that
she had loved for years and the movie adaptation was one her list of
movies to watch when it came out but held a whole different level of
importance to her now. Francesca was great in the role and was going to
earn high praise in Taylor's eyes, even if it might not win major
awards.
Percy had a big grin on his face when Taylor returned back to the
mansion, telling her, "Your SAG card is in the mail, it's being sent to
the Orlando mansion. You earned it doubly as you not only took on the
role of a principal actor but also performed a job that requires
membership. Oh, and we had to bump your pay rates to the required acting
minimums so you get a nice paycheck on the way. You didn't sign a
contract for the role but we have it ready for you. You signed some of
it already on the plane, but you didn't sign on as an actor which will
be changed as of now."
He grinned and added, "Your legal change of name came through thanks to
Orange County not wanting to fight our family over it. You are legally
Taylor Stacy Turner, with your wife and kids taking the Turner family
name as well. Betty insisted on it when she met the judge in person on
your behalf."
It was overwhelming but Taylor could finally move on from being Matt as
all she needed now was a new license to show her new self. Percy grinned
and gave her the new license, complete with her old picture. It was
funny to see, but it was one of the few times that Matt let his hair
down out in public but it was the perfect time to do so back then since
it saved her a trip to Florida now.
Taylor packed her clothes and a small gift from Francesca to the boys
that they'd enjoy and prepared to leave. Sally was sad to see her go,
but Taylor smiled and offered her a loving, "I'm leaving tomorrow
afternoon. I'm going with you to your appointment so we can ensure that
you are not brushed off by the good doctors at the clinic due to their
other patients exerting pressure. It'll be tough to do that with one of
their own keeping an eye on things. They'd have to explain it to the
state why they chose to violate the rights of a patient on behalf of
people who were barred from contacting her in any way."
The next morning was controlled chaos as Faye took Sally to her
appointment and had Taylor go into the examination room with them. Faye
told the nurse that Taylor was Dr. Taylor Turner and her niece and would
ensure that her future cousin was doing well and not ignored due to the
doctor accepting a bribe from two families who were about to go
bankrupt. She glared at the entering doctor who tried to act like
nothing was the matter but Taylor happily added, "I'll read the reports
that you write and if they are inaccurate or you try to claim that
Charlie Fairbanks couldn't be the father you will have to explain to the
state why you are violating a patient's rights and breaking ethical
rules. If you don't lose your license you will be bankrupted when my
aunt and uncle get through suing you for malpractice."
The examination proved to be long for Sally but she was healthy and
although her bruises were fading they were indeed due to abuse and came
from someone wearing a specific style of ring. The images taken of them
were clear as they matched Charlie's favorite signet ring perfectly. The
doctor made notes and called the person who was handling Charlie's
prosecution and gave his statement through clenched teeth but told the
full truth about what he had discovered.
Faye smiled as the doctor was about to end up in deep legal trouble when
he testified. He took a bribe to say that a girl wasn't the victim of a
crime then told the DA's office something different. He was on the cusp
of a lawsuit yet he had to protect himself, with the Fairbanks family
getting in deeper trouble for trying to bribe the doctor in the first
place.
Sally was sent for an ultrasound and saw her baby for the first time,
then saw her other baby. She was going to have twins, something that
Taylor suspected but didn't tell her. Sally cried at seeing the images
on the screen, with Taylor telling her lovingly, "They are healthy and
you are going to have a brother and sister who will help you with them.
Trust in them, and in your new family."
Back at the Turner mansion, Faye sat Sally down and asked if she wanted
to become part of the family as their daughter. She was in tears as she
said, "More than anything!" Faye kissed her cheek and hugged the weeping
Sally, telling her that she was a good person no matter what anyone said
about her being a teen mother. Sally was a member of the Turners now,
and with it came grandparents, two aunts, an uncle, and three new
cousins who would love being family to her with Taylor being someone she
could turn to for advice whenever she needed it.
Percy entered followed by the twins, with Sally's tears still flowing
causing them to ask what happened to her. Faye smiled and announced, "I
asked her if she wanted us to adopt her as our daughter. She's in shock
but wants that to happen. Plus she's also pregnant with twins."
The twins hugged Sally tight while Percy looked at Taylor for direction,
Taylor added, "She's too large to not be pregnant with twins. Charlie
Fairbanks just ended up getting himself a nice long sentence as her
being large is not due to her having sex months before they got
together- it's due to his children." He nodded and let it go, hugging
and kissing Sally goodbye as he and Taylor left for their flight.
On the plane, he asked Taylor about Sally's situation and what they'd
need to do. She just grinned and explained what the doctor had done and
how much trouble he was in with the state over his attempt to lie about
the condition of a patient in a court of law after he accepted a bribe
from the assailant's family. He barely hid his anger but her forcing him
to admit the truth to the DA's office ended up being what was needed to
ensure Charlie was sent to prison instead of exonerated as he gloated
about having done.
The flight was quiet after that as Taylor read emails from the GCW
producers about ideas that she had to approve/deny. She smiled at some
of their wild ideas, stuff that would have been done back in the 90s
when the GCW was in a heated battled with the aptly named Wild Frontier
Wrestling or the ever insane Extreme Wrestling Group. The matches were a
bit too extreme for the competitors involved and weren't a fit for how
they could tell a story- it was pure violence, something King Reign
liked but was never a hit with the wrestlers as they took a pounding
from it while he got off easy.
She smiled at the ladies requesting matches that were more than just
"looking sexy in a bikini" as had been King Reign's favorite way of
utilizing them. They were some of the best aerialists and could hold
down an entire show on their own if given the chance, so she happily
told the producers to set aside a night every three months for the women
of GCW and NEW to spread their wings while the men of the company got a
night off or worked house shows or small indie shows for the night. It
was going to catch her some flak, but given the lack of any real plans
for some of the men used, it was a night off with pay that they needed
and allowed them to perform another paid show that would help their
local companies as their name would attract more fans to hte shows.
She knew how to hit the writers in the sweet spot as one of them had the
perfect night for them and it was what Taylor had envisioned. She wasn't
surprised that the writer could match wits with Taylor, he was one of
the few who got along with her. He was overruled by King's men but was
able to toss a few great story ideas along that was tough to pass over
and caught Vince's eyes right away.
The planning emails were endless but she worked out a system where she'd
shelve certain writers for a while as she didn't care for their stories
and what they had wasn't that good anyway. Others were given immediate
looks, with her smiling at their subtle changes to her ideas as they,
"Got her," understanding her ideas and expanding on them. The rest were
just wrestlers trying to jockey for more time but who weren't getting it
due to their attitudes towards both her and the women of the company.
She wasn't vindictive, but she did have a line that some of them crossed
multiple times in the past. She wouldn't give them a push until they
showed that they were worthy of it, and even then they had to do a lot
to maintain the momentum. They had coasted by based on doing whatever
King Reign wanted, it wasn't going to happen anymore now that she was in
charge of producing the show's storylines and were likely looking at
being let go in the near future as their attitudes got the worse of
them.
The plane touched down at the airfield then saw the duo take the
helicopter to the estate. The boys and Betty were already asleep when
they arrived so Taylor went right to bed. In the morning she felt Betty
get up and caused her to awaken, with Taylor smiling at seeing her again
despite Betty looking sick.
Taylor kissed Betty deeply and offered her warm thanks for spending the
week alone, then apologizing for the extra two days added onto the trip
due to filming needs. Betty just smiled back and thanked her for being
there for a girl in need of a parent and helping ensure that Sally had
support and a new start in life among the Turners. She happily added,
"The boys have been on their best behavior too, they didn't even fight
over their bedtimes like they normally do."
Vince and Patty were awaiting them downstairs, with Stacy and her sons
coming down just after. Percy was the last to awaken, grumbling about
the time change and rain. Vince just smirked at him and asked about his
newest granddaughter, to which Percy smirked and added, "Enjoying a
mother and father who are happy to have her as family and enjoying the
next two Turner great-grandchildren kicking her."
Vince gave him an odd look while Patty happily added, "As long as she's
doing better. I just hope that she doesn't get corrupted by Kate and
Bart, you know how they can be. The way they can work deals to get what
they want it's a miracle they haven't tricked you out of millions of
dollars yet."
The Turners all laughed at Patty getting one over on her son and giving
the four boys a show. Vince and he got down to business and talked about
the movie and Percy's upcoming plans with Taylor getting a big boost in
her confidence as Vince almost fainted at her giving him a couple of hit
TV shows and a movie that could become an Oscar contender. The Finn
Family was a story Vince had wanted to make for a couple of years, with
Francesca's blessing it would be all but certain to be done.
Things turned to Taylor and how she did. Percy smirked and asked how
many of wrestlers had earned their SAG cards and then revealed that
Taylor not only earned hers but did so through two ways. She was going
to have work out in LA if she felt like it, but her heart remained in
Orlando.
Vince asked Taylor to go to the offices with him, with Taylor nodding
and explaining, "I already have the list of ideas that will work and
ones that are useless. I think I know the ones that you are going to do
right away and they are perfect for the new trio. The ladies won't be
eye candy anymore, we are going to enter the new era in women's
wrestling and it starts next week."
Vince nodded, she read his mind and he had the emails ready to go with
the reasons for scrapping the slew of bad ideas and why the writer's
services were no longer required. He disliked the man who was doing the
writing but Eric Russo was simply a man with a dream who was out of his
depth and with no support from King Reign he was going to be just
another guy among the staff. Eric wasn't all bad, he just wanted shock
value to draw in viewers instead of compelling storylines and eye-
catching action.
Vince asked about other ideas, to which Taylor happily told him, "Listen
to what the ladies want to do. I can see it in their eyes, they are
trying to show that they are athletes and not just eye candy for the
male fans. They want to be role models, not pinup queens. Give them the
matches that they want to put on and you will have yourself a group of
happy wrestlers who will spread goodwill to the guys."
Vince wanted to know more, so she laid out plans for the ladies' matches
that were more than what they had done in the past. No more lingerie
matches for them, instead they were going to steel cage matches and the
isolation chamber matches. Given how popular those were, the ladies were
going to make the arenas roar with applause especially when they were
shown to be title matches not contender matches.
Stacy chimed in with a congratulatory, "I told you that you were part of
us and you will always be no matter what others think of you, this is
what I meant. You are the person to lead the change, you know what needs
to be done and aren't afraid to do it. Taylor Turner is the next
generation of Turner, the one who is leading from the front and being
the woman who kicks ass and takes names. These matches are what I tried
to sell to King for the past five years but he wouldn't do it, citing
safety issues. Bull crap, these are what the women want to do and if the
men can do it without getting harmed then the women can do it too. Go
tell them, you deserve to reveal the plans to them in person."
The meeting was in two days, allowing Taylor time to relax before then.
She went to the office and had to endure more complaining emails from
the writers over her ignoring their attempts to insert swerves and
storylines that weren't needed and added little to the broadcasts while
forcing matches that made no sense and took up too much time during the
Monday Night Wars and Tuesday Lightning shows. When she pointed that out
the writers showed their true reasons for forcing their views by
trashing the women as not being able to do anything more than look
pretty and make the guys horny.
Stacy had to calm Taylor then happily told the offending writers, "Next
week they have the entire show to themselves. You will have no part of
it. Submit what you have as you are fired. You went over the line once
too often, this isn't the first time that you had sexually harassed the
women with your vile language and my ex-husband can't intervene on your
behalf anymore. You're fired."
They tried to claim that she couldn't do that and Taylor had no right to
tell them what to do let alone kill their ideas without even trying to
read them, but Stacy smirked and shot back an authoritative, "Actually,
she does. As the VP in charge of the wrestling entertainment division,
it's her job to hire and fire you at will. She has a point in getting
rid of you, we don't accept sexism especially from a bunch of idiots who
can't get sex with a woman without paying her. By the way, your expense
reports from your last trip are in and you owe the company for your
little 'entertainment' expenses. We aren't paying for your hookers and
you will repay every penny charged for them. Those weren't 'research'
either, so pay up, Eric."
Vince didn't say a word while Percy had to fight his laughter as the men
wet their pants in fear as she had just handed them bills for $50,000
each accrued over the past eight years. The four were led out by
security and their company-owned laptops seized while Stacy called IT to
ensure that no emails were deleted nor were any files transferred. It
was a tense situation, which Vince enjoyed greatly as Stacy asserted
control over the company while Taylor showed that she was the new head
of the writing and producing arms of the GCW.
Percy left after the fun ended, telling Vince that John Finn was
expecting him and he'd ensure that he got the rights to John's life
story before another studio came calling. Vince just grinned and shot
back a happy, "He knows and has the paperwork ready to go. I talked with
him before about it and he's happy to have Francesca Herman helping with
it out west while he has his niece do the initial writing back east. She
has been itching to tell their story for a while, she just never had the
motivation to do so."
Taylor relaxed for the rest of the day while Vince handled other
business matters and Stacy dealt with upcoming publicity activities.
Taylor simply read through the next Monday Night Wars script and did the
usual critiquing while grinning at the funny things that were being
added while nodding at the new feuds developing both short-term and
long-term. She felt jealous that she couldn't be out there, but it was
all for the best as she contributed more in one day at the office than
she could in a month in-ring.
The two ensured that their plans were kept under strict lock and key and
had the legal team invoke gag orders on the fired writers so they didn't
blab to the dirtsheets what they had planned for that night. It was
going to lead to a lot of speculation but it was worth it in their eyes
as the ladies were some of the best performers and with them giving
their all in the ring they could get viewers who wanted to see the
action without a lot of the talking that comes with the guys and their
feuds. It may be a huge part of the wrestling business, but that night
it would be just a small portion as all of the women were in action.
A mass email was sent to the women of the GCW and NEW to have them
report to either the Orlando NEW facility or to their New York office
the next day. It was met with questions from the ladies but it was
quelled as they were concerned that multiple wrestlers were either going
to be released or fired. They were trusted to keep the meeting a secret
but they were known to be discrete when it came to their jobs, it wasn't
worth giving up their careers for leaking a quickly forgotten scoop to
the media.
Percy called that afternoon to tell them that John Finn had signed the
development deal with GCW to be the studio that distributed and released
his life story. He had strict requirements that would be sure to cause
headaches for the casting people, especially when it came to casting his
beloved daughter Jaimie. He didn't mind anyone playing him so long as
that person had a clean arrest record and had no history of doing drugs
nor having any alcohol-related arrests but that stuff was being handled
by Inferno with GCW Studios simply going along with what Inferno's
choices especially as John owned Inferno.
Taylor had gotten the go-ahead to be involved in it should she feel like
it as she was one of the few that he trusted to ensure that the movie
was made right. There weren't many parts that she could play as a stunt
performer, but he trusted her to do well in the role. Stacy hid her
smile, the man wanted her to be a guiding force for the actors as she
could understand the character "John" at a younger age especially as she
was just like him from when he was growing up right until the bulk of
the story took place; and at 31/32 during the first story he was her
current age.
The next day, the GCW ladies were en-route to New York or Orlando, with
Vince happily counting the number of women attending and smiling at who
else was going to attend. Taylor had to hold him off from inviting half
of the alumnae to the event, but it did give her ideas for a couple of
fun things to do during the event that the ladies might like. Vince was
in a state of shock while Stacy had to hide her laugh as Taylor blurted
out, "Vince Turner dunk tank, with the ladies having three throws
apiece. They get to enjoy seeing you go underwater while teasing you
about past matches and storylines."
Poor Vince had to agree to it, it would be something that would get the
kids laughing and show that he was fully in favor of the night
especially if he could get the ladies over. Taylor was smart and with
the star power that night it was going to be a big hit with the fans.
The matches themselves were some of the best they could put on,
especially as they were fast and furious and with stipulations that the
ladies had begged to have for a while but were ignored due to the sexism
by the writing staff.
At the mansion, Taylor had a lot of time to kill as she didn't have
anything more to do thanks to being ahead of things. The boys greeted
her with hugs and smiles, with Ollie and Chase rolling their eyes at the
two trying to show off. Taylor just grinned and told them to clean up
their mess or else, getting the two to run off and finish what they were
supposed to be doing while Ollie and Chase complained that they were
getting lazy now that she was back.
She smiled at the two and told them, "They knew what they were doing,
they are trying to test what they can get away with. It's no different
than what you were doing before we got here, only without having
justified anger. They will be punished for it, but won't do it again now
that they know not to."
The two didn't push further, showing that they weren't the same boys
they had been. She tussled their hair to show her pride in them, with
the two accepting it without a fight. It was the best sign that they
were finally over their father's influence, they were slowly accepting
Taylor's affection towards them and actually liked having her give them
positive attention.
Davis and Vinny weren't happy to clean their mess but finished it to the
maid's satisfaction with the two trying to look upset at Taylor but
knowing that they had done wrong. Ollie and Chase saw just what she had
meant, she told the two younger boys, "No TV tonight, bed early. You
know the rules about cleaning up after yourselves. Your great-
grandmother or her maid shouldn't have to do your work for you. They may
pay someone to clean the rooms, but not to clean your messes."
The boys took their punishment as expected, looking sad but not
complaining further. Ollie and Chase had to hide a smile as they saw
what Taylor meant, with Taylor telling the boys, "You've served your
punishment long enough. You should come with us to headquarters tomorrow
to listen to the plans for next week. You have some ladies who could use
an apology, they'd appreciate it now that you have started to show that
you are a Turner in more than just name."
Dinner was quiet as the four boys thought about their individual
punishments, with the elder two being almost pensive. Stacy asked about
them, getting Taylor to whisper, "They are thinking about what they are
going to say to the ladies tomorrow. I told them that they need to
apologize to them for what they were caught doing in the locker room and
hope that they forgive them."
Stacy smiled at the boys showing maturity for the first time in a long
time. She didn't have to ask them to know that Taylor, Betty, and the
boys had been a positive influence on Chase and Ollie, especially in how
they were acting toward their grandmother and herself. She hugged and
kissed them goodnight, telling them that she was proud of them for being
so mature now which only led to Chase hugging her back and fighting
tears as the dam burst and he couldn't hold his emotions in any longer.
Ollie held himself together but hugged Stacy tight before shutting the
door to cry to himself in private. Despite trying to hide his emotions,
her little boy was still her shadow who acted like his mother in far too
many ways while his brother acted like his uncle had at the same age.
She sighed and told all of that to Taylor and Betty when Ollie slunk
away to his room, with both offering her warm looks that only a mother
could know- that of a mother truly knowing her children.
In the morning, the boys joined their grandfather in the limo for the
long ride to the office while the ladies took the helicopter. They had a
lot to set up before their meeting while Vince had only to show that he
gave his full support for the show. The boys were quiet but Vince
himself wasn't in any mood to talk especially as he would be the butt of
the ladies' jokes when his role was announced.
Vince tried to keep to himself but finally asked the boys what they
thought about their cousin. Ollie tried to dodge the question while
Chase looked away in shame at knowing she was more of a man than their
father ever was especially in how she treated them. He didn't need an
answer, the fact that the two couldn't come up with a quick answer that
insulted her was enough for him to see that they changed how they view
her despite being conditioned to hate her simply on principle.
He smiled at that, then told the boys, "The measure of a man is what he
does for his family, friends, and himself when trouble occurs. You are
more of a man than your father ever was. You were horrible to your
cousin at first but when you were told the truth you stopped to think
for yourself and saw what is really going on. Your cousin loved you
despite your hatred, you let her talk with you and show you that you
were wrong and you let her get you to think for yourselves. Your father
wouldn't do that, we tried to do that but he wouldn't listen to anyone
but those who agreed with him."
He smiled brightly as he added, "You defended your cousin from your
father when you visited him in jail last week. Don't say that it isn't
true because your mother told me so after you returned. He was vicious
in how he spoke to you, but you defended your cousin without a second
thought and tore him to pieces to the point that he has to watch himself
because he dared to threaten to hurt his own kids. He is still blaming
all of his problems on your cousin and you called him on it. You brought
up the worst things he did against your mother and stabbed him right
where it hurts: his pride. You called him on it and showed him that you
are choosing your family over him. You showed that you aren't two drones
who did as he commanded, you are men who have minds of your own and who
are not the kind of people who will accept abuse from anyone. You are
real men, he's just an overgrown child. You take after your mother and
uncles, you are Turners by blood and by actions."
The two just sat back and looked out the window, Vince made his point
and it sunk into them. He knew that they would be feeling bad over
recalling the incident but the context mattered. They needed to hear
that they weren't their father and just how much impact that had on
their father.
The drive took a while but the boys were busy contemplating what they'd
say to the women whom they had wronged by trying to sneak peaks at and
masturbating to. They did like how beautiful the women are, but they
were now seeing how strong and powerful they really are as they watched
the GCW on their home theater system with their grandmother and Betty.
It was weird actually noticing how fast and agile the women were, but
they could run circles around the men and do things that only one other
person had been able to do and she wasn't actually a man anymore in
their eyes.
The long drive was done on purpose, with the boys doing exactly as Vince
wanted as they thought and tried to come up with the right words to show
that they were genuinely remorseful for what they had done to the women.
If they hadn't been forced to do so he would have applauded their
maturity, but it was best to let them know that they were doing what was
right after they had apologized. He did give them credit for making the
attempt, it was more than they'd have done just a month before.
At the office, the boys were eager to get a move on but were ushered
into Vince's private suite to cool their heels until the time was right.
They simply watched a movie and drank sodas, not thinking about anything
and relaxing while realizing that they weren't doing any schoolwork that
day. Their mother was so busy with the big meeting that they weren't
forced to do more work, with their grandmother not even trying to say
something to her about it due to Stacy's focus being entirely elsewhere.
Over in the main conference room several floors below, Stacy addressed
the assembled crowd of 36 female wrestlers all either wearing casual
clothes or in workout gear. Among them were those injured and the newly
hired NEW recruits or veterans. Stacy grinned as she saw their faces,
both in person and via their teleconference link to their Orlando
facility.
She finally addressed them, telling them warmly, "This upcoming Monday
night we are about to do the unthinkable: hold a women's only night. All
of you will be there participating, with only those injured and on leave
not joining the action. As part of the night, we will hold a battle
royal as well as several extreme rules matches. You wanted them, well
now you ladies got them. It'll be a quarterly event, one that we hope is
a hit with fans and helps everyone in the company. The guys will be
working dates with smaller companies to help them out, with us clearing
them ahead of time so there's no issues on either end. You ladies get
sole focus, with everything you asked for going on those nights.
She let them applaud and cheer, with their faces showing the enthusiasm
that she had hoped for. She then explained further, "I'm not the one who
needs to be thanked for this. This is all the work of our new VP of
content, Taylor Turner. She has been listening to what you had wanted to
do for years and asked to do this for you. Some of you might not accept
who she is, but she is my niece and has been the glue that has held
together our company since she was a teenager and who many of you owe
your jobs to through her own requests that you be hired or through
training you directly or alongside of you."
Taylor entered and didn't waste time, laying out the matches and who
would be involved. The fact that there were going to be some old feuds
dug up and worked into the matches made the elders among the women
smile, especially in regards to the dunk tank. Vince being Vince, it was
a great opportunity to use him as a prop and give him his just desserts
for years of ignoring them even if he wasn't at fault.
Vince led the boys in and had Taylor tell them, "You owe these ladies
something." They looked down in shame both said meek, "We're sorry for
doing lewd things while trying to peek at you all naked. We promise to
not do that again under penalty of mom and grandpa banning us from all
events. We now know that you aren't sex objects and are regular people
who deserve respect not being leered at. Dad was wrong about you all,
you are better than the men."
The ladies didn't say anything and watched them walk off in shame, then
burst into laughter as Stacy and Taylor both told them, "They meant
every word of it." Taylor added, "They got a hard dose of reality and
are repentant. They won't go anywhere near the locker room nor will they
try that stunt again."
The meeting broke and saw the groups heading home while several stayed
to talk with Taylor. She was prepared for them and saw the looks of
concern and curiosity on their faces. She had them sit and talk as
others would pepper them with questions that they didn't have the
fortitude to ask themselves.
She told them to ask away and got the usual battery of questions
followed by some that made her want to laugh while others made her shake
her head in shame. They were innocent curiosities but were from a group
who should have been above childish thinking. It wasn't too bad, but she
had to frame all of her answers to show that she wasn't upset by some of
the questions being juvenile or annoying.
She steeled herself then answered, "I'm only on hormones. It's only been
three weeks since I came out to the world. I spent a week and a half in
California and a couple of days down in Orlando with my family. Vince
convinced me to go north to stay with him due to my house being ruined
by people who broke in and trashed the place. My wife and kids are at
Vince's estate probably running wild around the yard or swimming in the
pool. My cousins are here because they needed to apologize to you all
and see that they were more manly than their father in how they act."
She sighed then got down to the worst of it, telling them, "No, I
haven't had a full sex change. No, I have not had my testicles removed.
No, my breasts aren't implants but I might have to get them if my own
don't grow fast enough for my liking. I'm physically the same as I was
before, except I'm now taking hormones as the first step to becoming the
woman that I need to be. Yes, I will have the surgery, but not for a
year. You don't just rush right to the hospital and have the surgery, it
takes at least a year and a lot of talks with doctors about your life
and your feelings. I have a good doctor who has known me since I was 13
which was when I was first diagnosed as transgender. He kept me stable
for years through the toughest times, be it high school abuse from my
wrestling coach/gym teacher to my college wrestling issues to my
struggles in medical school. He is firm in his beliefs that I'm not some
delusional person and am the most stable transgender woman that he has
met."
She allowed them time to process what she had just said. It was tough to
accept but they took the news better than expected. The ladies finally
left, with her friends Tanya, Anya, and Ara?a staying behind to talk
with her alone. They were the closest to Taylor so would be the ones who
all went to to get their take on Taylor the woman compared with Matt the
man.
The trio hugged and kissed her, with them asking if she was really down
the path to joining them. The ladies giggled as Taylor blushed, with
Ara?a telling her warmly, "You could do with some bigger boobs on you. A
girl like you deserves some nice ones at your age."
The ladies agreed, with the duo accepting Taylor as she was and hardly
telling the difference between how she was dressed as a man. She didn't
change a thing about herself, she had the same look on her face and was
acting like the person who showed them how to wrestle better than anyone
had before. The trio simply saw their friend there, almost like she was
always there but tried to be someone else.
Tanya vocalized it best, telling the concerned Taylor, "You haven't
changed at all. I swear you are better than you were before, all you did
was put on different clothes but you are still the same as before. We
have known you for two years, you haven't changed at all. Hell, you were
a tomboy who finally got to be a princess after your ugly stepsisters
got booted from home."
That caused Anya and Ara?a to laugh, especially as Taylor had a look of
pure cuteness on her face. She was like Cinderella, only her prince was
a princess named Betty and her ugly stepsister was an uncle named King.
They shared a hug and left Taylor to think, smiling as they walked out
to meet the others.
The ladies sat on their bus and asked what was really going on with
Taylor. Ara?a spoke for all as she told all of them, "She's just as she
always was. All she did was change clothes, she's the same person who
helped us with our moves and who substituted at our shows. She has been
more of a woman than a few of you have been. She's a great mother to her
sons, I've seen it myself at her house when she was training me to be
her replacement. You might claim otherwise but I've seen some of your
bodies and I know that you have no real breasts and larger clitorises
than some of the guys have penises. You are more of a man than she ever
was, and she's more of a woman than you will ever be."
She dared the few women who had problems with other women to say
something. The GCW/NEW had the same problem with bigots that other
companies had, even among the women. Those same women were also some of
the slowest performers and who only kept their jobs due to being close
to producers and getting them to give them better matches and title
shots.
The week went by slowly for the Turners as the four boys worked hard on
their schoolwork and got to the point of being ahead of where they
needed to be. Betty spent more and more time by the pool as the baby was
draining her energy each day. The boys asked why she was so tired,
getting laughs from the ladies while Patty offered them a joking, "It's
part of being pregnant. Babies take a lot of energy to grow larger
making their mothers need to sleep and eat more than normal. You two
made your mother sleep most of the day, and if not for Taylor we would
have struggled to get things on track each week."
The boys tried to help Betty whenever possible, honestly going out of
their way with concern over her and making her pleased that they were
happy to help relieve her of a lot of her chores. Davis and Vinny were
kept busy by the duo, with the two going out of their way to play with
the boys so Betty didn't have to do anything. They hadn't asked for
anything since the visit to GCW headquarters making their mother see
that they were changed, giving her a smile as she let them come along
with them to see the women's night broadcast in person.
Being down in Orlando, the whole family could go to it. Betty was
getting homesick and with the time passing and no new incidents at their
former home, it was time to move back to Orlando to live back at their
own home. When she approached Vince and Patty about it, they couldn't
argue against it but asked that they move into the family's mansion
instead of their old home. They were still in the same school district
and not far from their parents, but the mansion also had security and
was one place in the whole of Orlando that police would not think about
refusing to respond to nor allow people to destroy.
The Simpsons, Blacks, and Turners would all gathered together to enjoy
the weekend together before the big event on Monday night. As they were
flying south, they were told that Faye, Percy, and the three teens would
be joining them, with Sally getting to meet her future grandparents for
the first time. Vince was told about her condition and had to hold off
employing some large men to, "Have a talk" with both the Fairbanks and
Pickford families, in his eyes she was family even if she wasn't blood
so she deserved his protection even if it wasn't needed.
Ollie and Chase kept asking questions about Sally, with the two
genuinely interested her and what was being done by their aunt and uncle
to protect her from others. Listening to their questions caused the
already proud Stacy to shed a tear at how much the two had grown in such
a short time, thanks in large part to Betty and Taylor. The boys were
being themselves and showed they were Turners at heart.
The flight was tiring for Betty with the boys sticking close. Vince
grumbled about pregnancies much to her enjoyment. Patty happily told
them he hates pregnancies thanks to her own issues which caused him to
need to do a lot of things to keep her happy but was amazing with
babies.
The west coast Turners were already at the mansion when the East Coast
group arrived. The twins went for their grandparents while Sally held
back, hoping that he didn't get upset at her being there. He went right
to her once the twins broke their hugs, kissing her cheek and taking her
by the hand inside.
The kids went to their rooms, with Taylor trying to bow out but having
to go to her new room. Vinny and Davis were put in another room, this
one being Chase and Ollie's former nursery that wasn't used much but fit
their needs until they were old enough to need their own rooms. The two
were happy to have smaller beds and Davis loved the kiddie furniture
even if Vinny felt too old to use them.
In his office, Vince directed Sally to take a seat then asked how things
had been for her since she was taken in by his son and daughter-in-law.
She looked away in shame, but he asked if she was satisfied. She tried
to frame her response but blurted out, "They are the best parents that
you could want. I love the way they treat us like adults even though
they don't let us do much on our own anymore. We have to do our homework
and clean but otherwise, they leave us alone."
He nodded, then asked about the twins and what was really going on with
them. She blushed and told of boys being run off by Bart and Percy while
girls were throwing themselves at Bart only to have Kate give them a
strong scrutiny that left them unable to do anything more than walk off
in shame over their trying to bed Bart so they could snag his fortune.
She showed reverence for the twins, which Vince was able to see was her
feeling for them even if she wouldn't admit it.
He finally dropped all pretext and hugged her, telling her
affectionately, "You had a rough go and are in the care of a man and
woman who care about you. I know my son and I can see that he wants to
protect you from everyone, even if it means making you his daughter.
Which they have done, all they need is a hearing in front of a judge and
you will be their daughter. You are only 16 but matured fast. They want
to be the parents that you need, even if it means that they will be
grandparents years before they wanted to become ones. I promise that you
are part of our family, you wouldn't be here if you weren't."
She left the office in tears to seek out Percy, only to be met by Faye
and Patty giving her hugs to calm her down. Percy mouthed to the twins,
"Hormones" which they understood and left alone. The two ladies took
Sally to her own room and explained that it was her room from now on,
with Kate telling her that she was next to her and shared a bathroom so
she wouldn't fear the guys seeing her body.
Ollie and Chase tried to stay away from Sally but seeing her caused them
to react, making them excuse themselves before they accidentally did
something to upset Sally. Kate rolled her eyes while telling the
laughing Bart, "You did the same thing at the same age, I remember you
running off to your room when you saw her in a bikini for the first
time." Sally looked at Bart who blushed, causing Faye and Patty to laugh
at the teen's hidden feelings uncovered in an embarrassing way.
The Blacks and Simpsons arrived for dinner and were introduced to
everyone, with Ginny and Jerome Black kissing their aunts then
introducing themselves to the Turners. Ginny reacted oddly to seeing
Chase, causing him to blush at her looks while trying to shy away from
her. Her father Hank gave his sister a glare while her mother Lillian
gasped in shock over Ginny having an instant crush on Chase.
Ollie and the three tweens were sent to rest for a bit while the adults
talked, with Ollie told to keep an eye on his brother. He looked at the
flustered Ginny and nodded, hoping that the two didn't do anything that
would get them in trouble. She was too young for him, but it wouldn't
stop her from trying to kiss him if given half a chance especially as a
few girls had done that to them already.
Hank asked the assembled Turners what was going on because it was too
sudden to have such a large gathering in Orlando. All eyes turned to
Stacy who happily proclaimed, "We are putting on a big show on Monday
night. It's our first all-female show, none of our male wrestlers will
participate. There will be a bunch of other things going on between the
matches, like cameos and other fun."
He shook his head at the idea, asking firmly, "How much did Taylor
actually do? This is something that we talked about years ago when we
were working on matches in high school." Taylor blushed and let out a
solid, "Half of it. The other half was Stacy. Your idea for the battle
royal was in the works already."
He groaned then asked, "Let me guess, you used my joke about having them
do a steel cage then the isolation chamber match?" Taylor smirked while
Hank complained, "It figures that you'd recall the few things that we
were told would never happen. I swear sometimes you do that on purpose.
Next, you are going to tell me that you are doing a dunk tank because I
know that was something you loved."
Stacy burst into laughter then added, "That was my idea, I couldn't
remember who joked about that but I guess you were just kidding then."
Hank groaned at accidentally setting up the night without doing any of
the actual work. He looked at Taylor and complained, "Don't let them get
hurt."
He sat down and firmly asked, "Will you be watching from the Gorilla
Position or will you be with the family in the suite?" Stacy and Vince
both shot back, "Gorilla," while Taylor added, "It's best that I help
while you do your job. It's going to be a big story, you don't need us
distracting you from your job."
The families waited for the last member to come, Richard Black, who was
running late thanks to having to do a lot of studying with his
girlfriend Nora at her house. When he finally arrived and had her in tow
the Blacks gave him an angry look especially as they saw the two had
Nora's makeup smeared all over his face and neck. The two looked over at
the Simpsons and Turners and apologized but had to endure Jerry and
Carey Black shake their heads in disappointment at the two's make-out
session.
The two didn't get the chance to say anything more as the group sat down
to dinner, with Nora being put to work helping the rambunctious Davis
while Richard had to serve everyone. Nora stole glances at Taylor as
they ate, not trying to stare but finding it had to not notice her
looking so "normal" while also being focused on things. She hadn't had a
chance to interact with Taylor in the short time that Taylor had been in
Orlando previously but was liking her so far.
The five elder teens spent time swimming while Ollie oversaw the three
tweens in the game room as they played on the boys' game system. Ginny
was all over Chase to the point that she rested her head on his shoulder
as she swooned over the boy's play while her brother groaned at her
crush. She didn't go past that but did let him know that she liked him
causing him to blush as she gave him a smile.
The teens swam and enjoyed the fading evening, with Richard and Nora
showing that they were closer than just boyfriend/girlfriend and on the
verge of being engaged. Nora asked about Sally and was told her story
followed by Sally receiving sympathetic nods from Nora while Richard had
to calm himself. Nora grinned and happily told the trio, "He's just like
his sister at times. Betty's so amazing to Taylor."
The whole family spent hours enjoying the talking and enjoying family
fun, with Davis and Vinny going to bed without a fight and causing the
older Ollie and Chase to get them to put them down while Jerome and
Ginny were trying their hardest to not say anything about their cousins
taking a liking to the two older boys. Ginny had to fight her urges as
she saw Chase being so manly and doing it without a fight, causing her
father to mumble about her getting too mature for her young age causing
laughs from the others while her mother smiled at her daughter being so
much like herself.
The rest of the weekend went fast as the family enjoyed time together.
Chase and Ollie spent time with Jerome's friends with Chase having to
fight off Ginny's affection much to their brothers' delight. Sally,
Bart, and Kate joined Nora and Richard for some time with their friends,
with the two having to hold off their friends from asking about Sally's
pregnancy especially as they felt so sorry for her.
The adults simply relaxed, with Faye and Percy telling Vince about
things out west while Wally and Nancy Simpson kept quiet and listened
politely. Neither felt that they had a right to talk about things that
they didn't know about nor were involved in, even though they were not
being excluded from things. It took all of Vince's self-control to tell
Wally to speak when he knew Wally had a point to make, but he kept quiet
out of respect- just as he would have done himself.
Taylor and Betty went with Carey and Jerry to get their belongings from
their old house, with the two a bundle of nerves as they entered and saw
how little had been touched since they went to New Jersey. It was sad to
see broken pictures and some of their possessions scattered along the
floor but there was not much more damage than they had seen and none of
the boys' things had been harmed. Taylor was the target, destroying the
boys' rooms would have been a step too far even for a group of hateful
bigots.
They grabbed everything that they could, spending all day Saturday and
Sunday packing boxes. It was a tough scene for all, especially as they
uncovered forgotten pictures and baby clothes that had been kept by them
just in case they might be needed. It was too soon to know the baby's
gender, but with them being yellow and green it wasn't going to be
donated thanks to Vinny picking them out for Davis and still being
useful for their new baby.
The boys were kept away from everything but seeing boxes and their toys
coming into the mansion led them to rush to their parents and ask if
they were staying there for good. The two couldn't lie and told the
truth, with the boys understanding the need to move away. They wouldn't
admit it to their mothers but they loved their new house especially the
ring in the exercise room, it was fun playing in it and the two loved
watching their mother jump and slam the practice dummies when she worked
out.
The teens helped settle the boys into their room before heading out for
a night on the town with Nora and Richard ensuring that they didn't do
anything too wild or let anyone harass them because Sally was pregnant.
The five shopped and talked with friends, with Richard having to keep
his friends from being too friendly with Kate and Sally while Bart had
to endure the ladies seeing him as a challenge for them to fight over
for the right to take his virginity. Richard told the ladies to back
off, while Nora told the guys that she was only staying the weekend and
if they acted like they were going to bed them every chance they got
they wouldn't return to Orlando again.
Sally kept close to Bart causing some of the boys to claim they were
sleeping together, leading to more rumors that they were incestuous
since they were brother and sister. Richard furiously told the worst of
the boys that they were idiots and if they had the balls to say that in
front of Bart they'd see just how he felt about people making up things
about his sister. Bart was larger than his father and grandfather so he
towered over the others despite being two years younger, having him
upset at you was going to be a tough thing as his anger would frighten
the bravest among people.
The night ended early as Richard and Nora's friends walked away in
humiliation while Bart eyed them with a strong suspicion that they
weren't exactly the best of friends with the couple and were only there
so they could see Taylor and sponge off of Richard's family. The five
just enjoyed the evening among themselves and walked through the city.
Sally didn't get any notice, and anyone who did see her bump didn't dare
say anything due to Bart's imposing size scaring them off.
At Hank's house, the tweens were enjoying video games and movies with
Ginny hanging onto Chase and giving him loving eyes causing her brother
to complain to their mother about her. Lillian took her daughter off of
Chase and had a mother/daughter talk with the nearly 11-year-old girl,
getting her to grin at her daughter starting down the road to becoming a
woman. Ginny blushed and tried to look away when Lillian asked if she
liked Chase, confirming what she suspected.
She happily told the girl, "He's not interested in you that way. You are
too young for him, he is just on the cusp of liking girls and isn't
ready for girls to like him back. He also lives in New Jersey so it
won't work out between you and him. You will find someone who likes you
for yourself, it'll take a while but boys are already seeing how
beautiful you are."
The boys ignored Ginny when she returned, she didn't react and simply
stayed quiet as she watched the boys play the game system. When it was
time to go, Chase spent the night while Ollie went with Hank. Chase
kissed Ginny on the cheek to show he was happy that she laid off of him,
but also to show that he appreciated her for herself even if she wasn't
the girl he was looking for yet.
Ollie complained about Ginny being too affectionate then complained
Chase was so lucky. Stacy had to stifle laughs as he wasn't wrong in his
complaining but came off jealous of Chase and Ginny. He kept to himself
when his cousins returned, with Sally offering him a hug to calm him
while the twins tried hard to not laugh Ollie lest they end up in the
same situation back home.
The family enjoyed a quiet Sunday together, nobody did much beyond
swimming and keeping Davis and Vinny occupied while the teens sunned
themselves. Chase returned and was grinning widely as the two tweens
separated, Ollie was jealous but wisely didn't say anything about it.
Bart caught his looks and gave his dad a look which led to the teen
offering to do something with his cousin so he wasn't left out all
weekend especially as Chase was spending the night with Jerome again.
The two teens went bowling and to a movie that was too mature for Chase
but was understood by Ollie, giving the teen a sense of pride at his
cousin treating him like he was older than the 14-years-old that he
really was. Taylor and Betty saw the change in him as soon as he got
back and happily told Bart that he had done a great thing for his cousin
in a time that he needed it. Neither boy said much that night, but the
fact that Ollie was relaxed instead of showing jealousy showed just how
much being with his Bart had helped him without him needing to say
anything about it.
The next day was a race to get things prepared for that night. The boys
were kept busy by Ollie and Chase while their mothers were busy
finishing their planning for the matches while all of the ladies were
busy ensuring the props and outfits were set. They barely had time for
meals, it took Patty and Carey forcing Taylor and Stacy to eat and drink
while the boys ensured that they remembered why they were there that
night.
The show was going to be a big shock for the GCW, but as the men arrived
they listened to Vince tell them that they had nothing for them that
night. There were complaints but he stood his ground and told them that
it was non-negotiable. The ladies arrived and smiled at the men, they
were going to enjoy showing the world that they were just as good as the
men and were making a statement to all who didn't think they belonged in
the same ring as them.
The "ladies-only" event was a resounding success for the GCW, with
Taylor getting high praise for her match-ups from the wrestlers
themselves while Stacy being given credit by the media for pulling one
of the most surprising stunts in the history of wrestling on such short
notice. She was quick to give credit to, "Two kids who had a dream of
that night years ago and whose ideas finally got used by those who
should have seen their value" without saying just who were those kids
but did reveal that the ladies were pleased to know that their new VP of
content was able to write an entire show in a matter of hours with only
a few hiccups that were normal of live events. The only hitches that
night being a few of the wrestlers acting out of character and showing
their nasty side at times as they let it be known how they felt about
having Taylor's direct involvement in the evening.
The dirtsheets, being the bottom feeders that they were, sought out the
upset ladies and got them to reveal a lot of the details of the night
including who was involved, how much they were involved, and what was
being done by them. They were scathing, going after Taylor for being a
fraud who got her job by being a pity case while trying to claim credit
for their own matches being their ideas. It was juicy gossip that was
going to get a lot of clicks but had little actual support when you
looked past the claims and into the actual claims by other wrestlers who
didn't have an issue with Taylor's involvement.
The dirtsheets ran with the story and tried to get Stacy to admit that
Taylor had no actual involvement. She laughed at them then showed her
ace in the hole: the script for the night complete with 18-year-old
notes that she had dug up just for the night. Taylor's name was on the
front page alongside approval from Vince, Stacy, and the known producers
with each match having her name, date she created the idea, and who
would produce it that night prominently displayed- with most of the
dates being 18 years prior and also featuring Hank Black's name
alongside Taylor's deadname.
She happily told them, "It was no joke that two kids created the ideas
for all of matches for this night. They plotted a few of these kinds of
matches for the ladies back when they were in high school and only now
did they get around to being used. One of them was my niece Taylor
Turner, whom you knew as Matt Simpson. The other is Hank Black,
columnist for the Orlando Sun, who is also Taylor's brother-in-law and
best friend. We saved their ideas and paid them for their creations.
Just because it was 18 years ago that they were created doesn't mean
they are not the ones who wrote and produced any of the matches. Hank
had most of the ideas in the script, Taylor did most of the actual
producing since Hank had only just started udnerstanding wrestling. Your
sources were wrong in claiming any credit as their own ideas were
scrapped as being too dangerous or taking too much time out of the other
matches."
Turning to the legitimate media, she reluctantly admitted, "Yes, the
show was written and produced by a transgender woman. We are not going
to discriminate against her because of who she is. We will not let the
views of a few bigoted and jealous people and a bunch of wannabe
reporters trying to get a story out of nothing ruin a night of
celebration of some of our best wrestlers as well as great fun by all of
our women. The women wanted these kind of matches for years, under
Taylor they will get them."
Without saying it, she had just called out the dirtsheets for their
agenda against Taylor. Smirking, she added, "Given how they have seen
fit to try to cause harm to come to one of our employees, we will no
longer allow access to certain publications and are restricting our
employees from talking with them. We are fully prepared to accept their
complaints as well as those from less than legitimate media outlets such
as ASPN, however as for years those publications have done nothing
except spread false claims and accusations by bitter, jealous people who
had no involvement in the GCW and constantly see fit to run
unsubstantiated rumors they have more than earned their banishment."
She walked out as the dirtsheets were put under scrutiny by their so-
called colleagues. The past articles against Taylor were scrutinized and
a pattern emerged of a longstanding run of lies and predictions that
were not even close to being right emerged. Further scouring
corroborated the long-held claims that their big source was none other
than King Reign and once he was arrested they had to look for new
sources and until that night hadn't had a solid source of their own,
instead they relied on other sites as sources with the dirthsheets
ending up in hot water for plagiarism and potentially slandering Taylor.
Stacy and Vince sat back and watched as the dirtsheets tried desperately
to mitigate the damage but saw most of their fanbase ripping them to
shreds online over their clear biased opinions about certain people and
the lack of credibility that they have shown without King Reign. Taylor
was seen as a producer who was doing well despite being transgender. She
had her detractors but few could argue that she did not put together a
great show with ideas that were a true fan's dreams.
Percy and his group left Tuesday morning, while Stacy and Vince stayed
another night. Chase was tough to separate from Jerome giving Taylor the
idea of letting the boys stay with her for a bit so they could enjoy
some time among kids their own ages. Stacy agreed, provided that she
kept them out of any trouble especially as they were prone to get into
it without thinking. She smiled at that, she had no intention of letting
them do much more than hang out with Jerome's friends at the Black home.
The boys spent two weeks with Taylor and were on their best behavior,
with Ollie taking to his uncle Wally while Chase did the noble thing and
got the clingy Ginny to move on to other boys by kissing her on the lips
and telling her honestly that he wasn't interested in her that way.
Ollie wisely kept quiet about the whole kiss but saw that Ginny was
upset yet accepted his rejection.
When Stacy retrieved the boys, she had to hide her smile as Wally was
acting like an uncle and enjoyed the attention that Ollie gave to him
while Ollie showed reverence for Wally that he hadn't shown to Percy
before. The more she heard about Wally's time with Ollie, the more she
was pleased that her son had sought him out and tried to listen to what
he had to say. Wally connected with Ollie in a way that he hadn't
connected with Taylor, Ollie didn't care for the nuances of wrestling
but did appreciate the hard work that went into putting on the show by
his uncle and his crew as he enjoyed hearing about the things they had
to do on the fly and how the lighting and sound systems worked giving
him a sense of the tough job that Wally had to do while appreciating
learning something that he had never thought of.
Stacy was torn as she felt like she was failing as a mother. Wally's
wife Nancy clarified things for her, telling her that the boy was
finding an interest in something that none of the family understood as
well as Wally and was trying to connect to someone in a way that he
couldn't do with her or his father. It was a jump forward for him, the
mischievous boy was starting to be replaced by the curious young man and
he was using that curiosity for the right reasons instead of getting
into trouble. It was tough to see it as a bad thing, especially as he
tried hard to be the son that she wanted him to be but was now feeling
the urge to do something that he actually wanted to do in life.
It was tough to do, but she talked with the boys and got them to want to
spend the rest of the summer with their aunt and uncle so they could
enjoy themselves without being stranded around the mansion in New
Jersey. Wally agreed to keep a close eye on them, but most of the time
Ollie was by his side while Chase was with Jerome over at his house
making Wally's job easier. They gave Taylor and Betty a lot of space,
really only interacting with them when the family gathered for Sunday
dinner.
To the surprise of nobody, Richard and Nora's graduation turned into a
local media sensation as the entire Black and Turner families attended
the graduation. Nora invited them as guests as her family were either
too busy to attend or refused to go due to Taylor's presence. She
treated Taylor as a sister-in-law and happily stuck close to her,
telling anyone who asked that she was her future sister-in-law and proud
to have her as that no matter what anyone thought.
Much to their relief, Ollie and Chase didn't have to attend the
graduation. Ollie went anyway, while his brother and Jerome went to
Jerome's friend's house. The two made a fun duo as they cleaned-up the
boys in every game that they played, with Chase happily telling them
that he had a lot of time to get good at the games thanks to a lot of
time spent playing it instead of going to school.
The graduation was a fun day for both boys so when they finally went
north again, the boys were pensive but felt a lot better now that they
had been "normal" for the first time in their lives. They might be the
sons of a single parent, but they were in a loving home with multiple
relatives who cared about them. They were content to do more things on
their own and find their own niche now that they had enjoyed doing their
own thing during the summer.
Taylor flew them north after she sent Davis and Vinny to school She
endure the stares and whispers of the other parents while Wally and
Nancy joined Taylor and Betty in dropping off the boys. They made a show
of it, ensuring that Taylor was not ignored by the staff and their
teachers and the fact that she may be changing gender was known but not
allowed to be harmful to her. Betty was the primary for them but she was
more than happy to have Taylor pick the boys up from school no matter
how upset parents got about her being allowed to do that.
Taylor sparked debate among the parents as she looked like any other
mother and was more feminine than multiple women there including several
mothers in Vinny's first-grade class. She had sparked a lot of them to
rethink what they thought about her as well as what being a woman was.
She didn't speak to anyone, so few actually knew how feminine she really
was in voice along with in body.
The whole school trip got the boys realizing that they were about to end
up going back to school. Stacy had arranged for them to go to school in
the borough near their New Jersey estate, giving them the chance to go
home each night instead of being stuck in a private boarding school like
they had been in since they started school. Stacy hated them being away
from her but her ex-husband just wouldn't let them go to school closer
to them especially as she learned he would have lost time with his
mistresses due to watching the boys while Stacy was on the road with the
GCW producers.
Taylor spent a week up in New Jersey as she worked on the Bash of the
Summer pay-per-view as well as the Take On event the night before. She
found her groove and worked hard at planning the matches and had a lot
of fun as she found her knack for getting fans to keep interested while
keeping the long feuds ongoing without them petering out. It was tough,
but the week kept her busy with her only real time off being to eat and
exercise in the GCW corporate gym.
When she returned, she was refreshed and relaxed, with Betty happily
enjoying the change in Taylor. The boys were happy to tell her about
school and the new friends that they had made and what they had done in
school beyond class. She listened intently and smiled as the boys were
finding themselves for the first time and starting to behave like any
other boys their own age despite their social isolation.
By Labor Day, Taylor woke to her chest feeling irritated and finding
lumps developing. It was tough to keep herself from cheering, it was the
first signs of breast growth in her body. She looked at herself in the
mirror and shed tears as her nipples had gotten larger and there was
some fat around her hips and butt but not quite enough to call her
"womanly" yet.
Betty felt the growths and was pleased that they weren't something
serious, kissing Taylor deeply as she had reached her first major
milestone on her road to becoming a woman physically. Taylor knew that
it would be a long time before her breasts were able to fill a bra, but
it was still a personal moment for her that she had to have. First came
her breasts, next will be her surgery.
She smiled at the thought, then cuddled with Betty as the two rubbed
Betty's baby bump with smiles on their faces. The little girl that they
had both wanted was confirmed a few days later as she showed that she
was large and developing nicely. The boys were happy to hear the news,
with Davis giving both a cute, "We told you so" look that belied his
hopes that she would make them happy.
Fall was boring for the family but Taylor made the most of it by being
there to help the boys with their schoolwork and enjoy time with them
out on the town. They no longer tried to hide away, they sold their old
house and having a permanent home at the Turner mansion gave them roots
in the upscale part of the region giving them little chance of being
harassed especially as the local police didn't want to run afoul of
Vince Tuner nor his legal team. The boys played with other kids at their
houses and made a few friends, with the boys not even caring one bit
about Taylor's gender as none of the boys had known her before her
change and the ones who did didn't really care about that stuff yet.
Richard was frequently at the mansion with Nora to give the couple an
afternoon off as the couple put up with the boys' afternoon fun while
also giving the couple a dose of hard reality regarding kids. Nora was
happy to endure it as she loved kids and was eyeing a career in
education while Richard was not in the least bit happy to hear her
loving words regarding parenthood, especially at their young age.
Taylor and Betty made a trip out west to help with the arrival of the
newly adopted Sally's twins. The boys stayed with their grandparents and
had Richard and Nora drop them off and pick them up from school. They
loved teasing the couple as they told their friends that Richard was
their uncle despite him being so young compared with them leading to the
parents asking if he was a surprise baby, getting a blush as Nora joked
that he was a second honeymoon gift his parents gave to each other.
Out in California, Taylor and Betty did their best to make Sally feel
better about giving birth, but it was tough to do with her school acting
like she has a disease that needs to be isolated. Betty was vocal to the
school's secretary when she called to insist that Sally switches to
being a night school or home school student so the other students didn't
get the wrong impression about the school allowing people like her to
attend. Betty demanded that she explain what she meant and when she
refused Betty happily told her that she had no right to insist on that
and as she wasn't the one who makes those decisions she had no right in
suggesting it in the first place as she wasn't even a parent of a
student at the school- she was just a secretary and not a good one at
that.
Taylor went one better, complaining to the school board about their
treatment of a student and insisted that the woman be fired for her
actions. Both Percy and Faye stood by their daughter, taking the school
to task in an open school board meeting and getting a full public
apology while ensuring that the offending secretary was fired for her
discrimination. It was a small victory but showed that the Turners were
not going to let anyone push their new daughter around.
Sally went into labor the last week of September and gave birth to
beautiful twin boys. They shared strong resemblances to their mother
with their father's eyes and hair coloring, giving Sally some relief
that it was going to be easier on them as they escaped the Fairbanks
family's big noses, large foreheads, and chubby cheeks. It was cute on a
little kid but as they got older it looked odd, their sperm donor
Charlie had undergone two plastic surgeries to change his nose and
cheeks so he looked "normal" instead of cartoonish but it was still
evident that he would need at least one more to fix his forehead.
Taylor ensured that Sally knew how to do everything possible for the
boys as they were brought home from the hospital. Faye happily let the
ladies get this out of their system, the mother in Betty flared-up and
there was no way anyone was going to be able to stop her when she was on
a roll. Sally listened intently and learned all of the needed skills
then showed she could do them on her own while getting her brother and
sister to also join in the, "Fun" so they had the necessary skills as
well
Sally shed tears as she asked Taylor if she could name one of her sons
after her deadname. Taylor was in tears as well, she couldn't deny the
request and loved that she would have her name live on even if it was a
name she didn't want to have. Sally was encouraged to name her other son
after Percy but she refused to do so out of respect for her brother and
sister, insisting that Bart and Kate be the ones to do so as they were
biologically his children and deserved that right.
She settled on the name Wallace since her new uncle deserved a namesake
in the family. Taylor nodded, he would be happy to hear the news. He was
proud of her already, but Sally won her uncle Wally over that day in
giving him a chance to happily tell others that he had his own namesake.
The babies were born in the early morning and after some washing and
checks by the pediatrician, the boys were deemed healthy enough to meet
their relatives. The time was such that Davis and Vinny had gotten out
of school just as the family greeted the newborns, allowing Taylor to
call her in-laws and have the boys meet their new 2nd-cousins. The two
were in awe of the twins, with their friends at a loss for words as the
two cooed and tried in vain to get their attention but not being able to
do so.
Taylor and Betty's being in California was explained and made sense as
the two were able to go and be there for Sally while Percy worked and
Faye oversaw the preparations for the twins' arrival. Their new aunt and
uncle were there for her as well, getting her homework and ensuring that
the school gossips were kept in check and made sure all knew that Sally
was returning in a week as she had proper people to watch her sons
during the school day while she attended classes. Faye and Percy hired a
nanny to be there for Sally, with the nanny simply ensuring that the
twins were fed, changed, and burped during the time Sally was away with
Sally doing the work the rest of the time.
The trip west served to help sharpen Betty and Taylor's mothering
skills, they hadn't realized just how out of touch they had gotten since
Davis was out of diapers and got a crash course in, "Baby 101" from the
newborns as they helped Sally get acclimated at home. She was a quick
learner and was a natural mother, giving the family a happy feeling as
she had already outgrown her former parents' abilities as she had shown
she was truly a better person without even trying. She took in the news
and offered the couple their own praise for sacrificing time with their
children to help her get a jump on motherhood.
When the duo arrived back in Florida, Stacy greeted them with a big
smile while telling them that the boys had enrolled in a private school
near their New Jersey estate so they were close to home and able to
enjoy friends being over and have her and her father home every night.
The two were enjoying their new school and had made friends with several
boys their own age, with the boys having an interest in them instead of
befriending them in hopes of getting access to their grandfather. The
kids were locals, they may have gone to private school but their
families were levelheaded and worked hard to send them to school so
instilled in them the value of working over fleecing others to get ahead
in life.
The way she described the kids was one of relief and genuine happiness,
Taylor and Betty had to hide their own excitement as the mother in Stacy
was shining brightly and showed in how she was acting as they walked
around the property to burn off her excited energy. When she finally
calmed herself, the duo just smirked while Stacy finally admitted, "I've
never been so proud of them. They have not only made friends, they are
acting better in school and have started to shine in the classroom. Your
nephew had a strong influence on Chase, and your dad made Ollie start to
apply himself. I think he might start to do more in school especially in
their theater program."
Stacy demanded pictures of her new great-nephews and was practically
cooing over the images, as Percy was acting like the proud grandfather
while Faye was trying her hardest to keep herself together as the two
were curled in her arms. One picture had her laughing, the twins tried
to suckle from Faye only to see her face turn red in shock and
humiliation while the twins were handed off to their mother to suckle
from their bottles. Faye took a while to recover from the humiliation,
Bart and Kate had to stifle laughs until they realized the twins would
do the same to them at some point as well.
Stacy got down to business and laid out Taylor's job for the next 12
months. Taylor was the VP now, so all she really had to do was oversee
the way the wrestlers were progressing in their training and storylines,
overseeing their health, and ensure the staff was creating quality shows
and pay-per-views. Since Vince held control over the live events she was
mostly doing the backstage work which could be done from home or the NEW
complex.
She cleared Taylor's schedule in June and July as she would be
undergoing her bottom surgery and needed time to recover fully. Taylor
tried to fight it but Stacy knew best to force her to accept the time
off so she underwent what she needed to do and ensure that she was no
longer forced to accept a body that she didn't want to have. It was her
way of giving Taylor incentive to be true to herself without having to
pull the aunt card on her, which she was willing to do if Taylor didn't
accept the time off.
Taylor spoke with her doctors about the surgery now that her bosses had
essentially forced her to seek to undergo it, with all in agreement that
she could have it once she had her needed year-long, "Real life test"
and gotten a second opinion about her ability to undergo the surgery.
Her psychiatrist, Dr. Vlad Acula, had strong feelings that Taylor needed
to undergo the surgery as early as possible to give her a strong link to
her feminine side but who needed the full year to show the world that
she was who she is inside and not doing the surgery for attention.
Taylor felt a sting as she read the report, with Dr. Acula giving her
support but also telling her that she had to be absolutely certain
without saying so.
She booked the surgery for the following June, two weeks after the kids
got out of school and when the whole family would be together for the
pay-per-view in Orlando. It was the best time she could get but also
felt best to have everyone there for her. She wanted them to be there,
if they weren't she believed that she may actually back out of the
surgery altogether making their presence mandatory.
There was little for Taylor to actually do regarding producing and
writing or even doing basic call-ups when the GCW was in the midst of
their storyline runs and all wrestler contracts were up to date giving
her free time to do as she pleased. She grew bored working-out at the
mansion's gym causing her to seek out her one-time instructor, Killer
Gagne, at his wrestling academy a half milefrom the NEW complex. Killer
was happy to have her there and offered her warm affection, hugging and
kissing her making her blush deeply as the elderly man was genuinely
pleased to see her.
The two talked while watching the new recruits train, with Killer
lamenting that he had to let a couple of his top trainers go due to
their over-the-top cold style of teaching methods clashing with his
style of nurturing new recruits until they were ready to take on others
in the ring. They were old school teachers who believed that he was
coddling them while he saw that they worked best while under the
positive reinforcement that had worked on him years before. Taylor had
to snort at their idiocy, not one of them had made it big in the GCW and
were fighting with a man with a Hall of Fame ring and two dozen world,
continental, and tag team championship belts displayed on the wall not
to mention photos with all of the top greats to set foot in a ring in
the past 60 years.
Taylor sensed something was up and asked if she could help out for a
while, telling him that she had a lot of time to do a lot of work and
her skills were starting to diminish from lack of use and could use the
in-ring action. He tried to refuse but she had a look on her face of
utter boredom and was offering him something he desperately needs. She
was a prized pupil, and one that he touted as being the first he trained
who never needed any actual training but still sought it anyway.
He agreed to hire her as a favor to her but only as long as she wanted
to be there. He laid down ground rules for her, letting her know that he
wouldn't tolerate any nasty behavior by the recruits and would be upset
at her if she allowed them to abuse her without showing them the door.
He had it in their contract that they had a code of conduct to adhere
to, discrimination was a major violation of the contract.
Taylor worked with him to gather the best students among his recruits
and let her decide who was the most likely to make it as a wrestler and
who would be just another wannabe toiling in the indies until they
realized that they weren't advancing to the GCW or even Impact of Honor.
He had a dozen who he felt highly about, including several who were
known to Taylor through Richard and Nora being at one time friends with
them. She immediately red-flagged them and told Killer just what they
were like on the outside and got him to see that they were likely to
mooch off of knowing the Turner family to get a jump on others in the
indies especially as they did know the family fairly well.
She would ensure that they knew that they were not going to use her
family that way, especially as the guys were the ones who got most of
their class against Richard after he broke up with his ex-girlfriend
over her infidelity with his best friend. Their character was in
question, and until they showed they are in it for themselves and not
coasting by they had an uphill battle. The might make great wrestlers,
but it was going to be earned instead of handed to them by Killer and
the independent promotions.
There were several women who were trying out for Killer's school as
Taylor finished her assessments. She talked with them about their
influences and had to smile as they mentioned four women who are near
and dear to Taylor's heart: Mickayla Jace, Anya, Tanya, and Ara?a. She
asked what they liked in the women, with all of them blushing as they
mentioned their moves and beauty in the ring.
It was a good answer, especially as they were the most technically sound
women in the GCW. Mickayla was doing her best to enjoy her new contract
and playing the mentor to the next generation of women especially the
trio. Having her do that was one of the most brilliant moves by Stacy to
have her both act as Impossible's manager and give her a stronger role
among the women as well as give the trio a boost in the pop that the
crowd gave to them as they wrestled.
Taylor didn't notice him behind her but Killer happily explained to the
women, "Taylor is a VP at GCW and is responsible for those four being
brought to the GCW." She tried to give the real credit but he cut in
with a happier, "Stacy hired her, but you suggested Impossible and he
wouldn't come without her. And the three were brought up at your
suggestion, you technically trained Ara?a on your own and the duo worked
with you in both NEW and FWA so learned more from you than anyone else."
Killer realized that the ladies were in awe of Taylor and knew he had a
good thing going by having her there. He proudly told the ladies,
"Taylor is going to be instructing you. She's been trained by me but is
a longtime member of the GCW, NEW, IoH, FWA, GWF, and SWL. She is
transgender and gave up a promising career in the GCW to become who she
is so if you have an issue with that please leave as I will not let
anyone discriminate against anyone. I saw enough of that in the 60s and
70s, I'm not about to let anyone hurt one of my instructors because they
can't see past their own insecurities."
One left, the others stayed. She was going to find it tough to get
another slot in a wrestling academy especially after why she left was
known, but it was her choice to leave. Killer was known as the best for
a good reason, if you were kicked out by him you had no chance of making
it in Florida especially when he explained why you were booted.
An hour later, Killer had an angry man outside his office yelling and
threatening him. Killer ignored the man and let him talk himself into an
arrest by police as he was being overheard threatening Killer and the
school over getting rid of his daughter. Killer waited then asked the
man if this was the same young lady who refused to abide by his rules
and chose to leave instead of being banned for her taking issue with his
newest instructor, getting a visceral, "That freak doesn't belong here
and I sure as hell will castrate him when I see him again."
Killer just grinned, asked the officers if they heard that threat, then
had him arrested for what he had just said about doing to Taylor. The
man threatened Killer this time, claiming that he'd beat the snot out of
the old man. Killer just grinned and happily told him, "Bigger men than
you have tried and failed. I didn't get the nickname 'Killer' because it
sounded cool. I've actually killed people in the military and won't
hesitate to do so in self-defense to protect loved ones."
The man was dragged away kicking and screaming, threatening the officers
and succeeding in kicking two in the crotches before being tasered by
one. The recruits helped the officers subdue him, with the man getting
his arm wrenched back in pain as he thrashed to get out of an arm hold.
Killer let the actions speak for themselves, he wouldn't allow people to
act like that for a reason. The young lady might have had talent, but he
wasn't going to let her attitude pollute his academy. He only wanted the
best students, and that included personalities as well as in-ring
abilities.
Taylor kept quiet during the whole ordeal and was happy that she wasn't
noticed. The man would be back with help, but him not knowing who she is
was a huge advantage especially as they couldn't go after her directly.
She could handle them, but she didn't want anyone else hurt because of
her.
The two plotted lessons and who was likely to be the aerialists,
submission specialists, and powerhouse brutes. They were a mix and who
was best at what moves was eye-opening to them as the smaller ones could
do power moves while the larger ones could move fast and fly as high as
the smallest ones. Killer was smiling throughout has she reviewed video
of past lessons and spotted the diamonds in the rough especially ones
that Killer hadn't noticed but agreed with.
Taylor worked with Killer for a month, and by Thanksgiving, they were
able to put on a respectable set of matches with the ladies being the
centerpiece while Killer's men watched with jealousy over the fast
turnaround in the women. The show was a big deal for them as it was
frequented by several of the large independent promotions with the GWF
and SWL being prominently placed ringside. Taylor kept to the backstage
area and coordinated as Killer did his promoter job and got the needed
attention for each of his new recruits as well as his returning talent
who hadn't signed with anyone yet.
The scouts for the independent companies were happy with the recruits
and took a liking to the ladies especially the ones who Taylor had
trained personally, with the ladies winning the crowd as they moved fast
and flew high in their moves. They were still raw and needed more time
to hone their skills, but they would have jobs waiting for them in the
near future. She was proud of them and ensured that they knew how well
they had done, especially as it was their own hard work.
The men, on the other hand, weren't as lucky. Several had regressed and
were looking at not getting a job as a jobber let alone a chance to be a
champion caliber wrestler. The few who had advanced their styles had
done so with Killer talking to them one-on-one and telling them their
faults, with the men doing their hardest to improve. The ones who didn't
were the kind of wrestlers that he had fought hard to not advance as
they were glory seekers and who believed that they were better than they
really were and who took any kind of criticism harshly and refused to
listen to any advice.
Taylor took a stronger role in the academy, much more so than she had
planned. She worked with the four trainers and coaches, with Taylor
doing the aerial work for both men and women as she had the best resume
among them to teach the moves. Few were injured as she ensured that each
of the wrestlers knew where to hold, when to hold, when to call off the
moves, and how to react to a botch as it happens before she allowed any
of them to take to the air in trial runs with dummies.
The only low point was the return of a huge problem for her in the face
of Harry Waite and his sons, Maxim and Fuller Paine. They tried to bully
their way into being allowed to train with Killer Gagne solely based on
Harry trying to associate himself with Matt Simpson despite his being
humiliated by Taylor for years in his one-man pursuit of ruining
Taylor's wrestling future. They didn't know she was now working with
Killer until it was too late, Killer strung them along and fought
laughter as he quietly listened to Harry blatantly lie to him about his
and Taylor's relationship.
When Harry finally stopped, Killer just grinned and proudly told the
braggart, "You have some balls. I am well aware of your relationship
with Taylor Turner, the former Matt Simpson. I know just how little you
actually did for her and what you tried to do. You lost to a 14-year-old
fair and square and tried to run her out of the sport and got banned by
this state for it. Save me the dramatics, I have known her for her
entire life and was told directly by her parents about the incidents.
You are a boldfaced liar."
Harry tried to stand tall over the elderly Killer but he smirked and
asked, "So the true face rears itself as the truth comes out. You have
actually hurt more careers than any other coach I have ever encountered.
You were terrible at what you do, you haven't won a thing in 30 years in
the sport and have sent more of your team to the hospital than to
college. You have some nerve trying to use Taylor's achievements as a
bargaining chip, anyone with a cell phone can search online and see just
how little you have done. She is a treasure to wrestling, while you are
why people avoid it like the plague. I don't need to have anyone tout
their prowess, I let them show me what they can do on their own before
deciding to take them on as a student or kick them to the curb. I'll
look at them, but you are out of here this second."
He grinned and added, "As Taylor is in the building, you need to leave.
That restraining order that she has against you is still active and as
you are now aware of her presence you must leave or be arrested. I do
hope that you get arrested, her grandfather would love to have a crack
at the man who made her life miserable both as her teacher and as her
coach. He won't hold back, Vince Turner never does."
Harry got up to leave but his sons stayed behind. They glared at their
father, clearly not happy with the stunt that he just pulled. He wasn't
even supposed to be there, they told him they were going to do this on
their own but he tried to worm their way into the tryout in the hopes of
sponging off of them again.
Taylor entered when Harry finally left the building. Killer locked the
doors and told the duo to show him what they knew and what they thought
they knew. To her surprise the duo was good, they were fast and agile
but had a lot of things to work on before they would be hired by the
independents.
The duo went at it for an hour before Killer looked at Taylor for her
opinion. She was blunt, telling him, "They have moves and are a solid
tandem but they have a long way to go before they are setting foot in a
professional ring. They have the makings of champions if they stay away
from whatever Harry Waite was trying to get them to take and actually
focus on their moves instead of their strength and looks. And the
funniest thing? They have perfect ring names and aren't even fakes: Max
and Full Paine are great ring names. They are classics. You two might
have been born to be pro wrestlers."
The duo left, told their father to buzz off and leave them alone, then
moved out of his apartment and in with their mother so they could be
close to the academy. Harry took the brush-off hard and tried to go
after Killer, only to get his ass handed to him by the elderly man when
he tried to attack him as he was leaving the academy for the day. He
ended up breaking his nose and losing several teeth to Killer's fists as
he punched Harry square in the face without a second thought.
Harry's humiliation was even worse as the assault was caught on camera
and played nationally by the media, with the Orlando media happily
telling anyone who wanted to know that Harry was known to be a violent
man who had previous arrests for similar behavior against his students.
His sons came out to support Killer, with his ex-wife denouncing his
actions as being nothing new to the lifelong bully. The poor guy ended
up getting humiliated worse when Killer's history was told and Killer
being a champion pro wrestler despite his smaller size and age got Harry
shown to be picking on the wrong old man.
Taylor wisely kept out of the eyes of the media as Killer told them that
his employees and students are not to be talked to as it was impacting
his business. Taylor never got noticed, all of the footage used was file
footage of the facility from previous visits to talk with Killer. Oddly,
Taylor was actually in a few of the segments when she was still Matt,
with Killer never telling the recruits they were there but happy to have
the fond memory of the brief time that the video brought back.
Killer and Taylor worked hard until Taylor had to finally bow out to
help with the impending baby. It was a tough day for her but she would
be back after the birth, especially as it would give Betty a chance to
bond with their daughter and give Taylor time to herself. Killer happily
accepted her leave and was in a good mood anyway as the ladies were far
ahead of schedule and the Paines were doing well too and the academy had
several new wrestlers starting out who were weeks from needing Taylor's
help.
Little Bella Patricia Turner was born in late January after a long
labor. The Blacks and Turners were at her side, with Vinny and Davis
needing them to keep the duo from getting scared over the birth taking
so long. When they saw their little sister for the first time they felt
great relief, especially as Betty was exhausted and their grandparents
on the verge of collapsing from the anxiety of the birth.
Taylor sent out a mass text to the California and New Jersey Turners and
got immediate calls from both Stacy and Percy then the dreaded phone
call from Vince himself. He wanted to know why she hadn't told him
before then that Betty was in labor, to which she tried to misdirect him
only to have him give her a laugh and happy, "You did the right thing.
I'm not upset at you for doing that, we wouldn't be able to help you no
matter what. We'd just be in the way and you needed to focus on the boys
and Betty."
Vince made plans to head down in a couple of days since the Monday Night
Wars was airing from Tampa allowing him to take a helicopter to the
arena whenever he wanted. Stacy and her sons came along, with it being a
holiday weekend and they were flying back after the show they couldn't
resist seeing the new baby. The fact that they could also see their
other cousin's twins was a bonus as well.
Bella and mom were released two days later, with Betty still exhausted
but looking better. Bella never took notice of the family as they
gathered at the mansion, she slept through everything and only seemed to
awaken when the twins made their presence known and demanded attention
from someone. Poor Vince ended up getting their attention and found
himself on the receiving end of both spittle and load of unwanted
releases from Matt, with Vince looking at the baby's namesake and
shaking his head at Matt doing the same thing that his namesake had done
when she was the same age.
The family gave the newborn all the attention she would ever want and
she slept through it. She did allow each of the family members to hold
her, with all four grandparents taking pictures with her while Richard
tried his hardest to keep Nora from giving him her loving looks that he
knew was going to lead to her biologic clock to start ticking. The
family joked about that, with Nora playing him for a fool as she wanted
to show him that he was a good father even if he wasn't ready for
fatherhood yet.
Taylor got texts from the trio out on the road asking what happened as
they heard that Vince and Stacy made a sudden trip to Orlando to see
her. Taylor had to fight a smile as she texted the trio about Bella's
arrival and the family gathering together to meet the little one for the
first time. Tanya happily asked for pictures and giving her a big laugh
as she added, "After you two freshen up that is."
She was happy to send a picture of Bella in her small cradle then of
Vince holding her in his arms. It was bold to do that but she felt that
it was worth it to show the softer side of Vince. The ladies all shared
big smiles at the little one being the spitting image of Taylor, it was
the best thing they could have said about Bella especially at that
moment.
Taylor was crying at reading it and needed her mother to calm her as
Tanya was telling the truth- she was what Taylor should have been born
as, only with the Black family's hair and eye coloring. She was Taylor
as Nancy remembered her, she could only see her daughter in her
granddaughter. The family was in agreement, Taylor had her little girl
and she was her mother's daughter in all ways.
Vince and the other Turners left as Bella gave them an unwanted present
prompting Betty and Taylor to have to bath and change her. The only one
among Taylor's cousins not impacted by her foul smelling release was the
only mother among them as all Sally did was give her own young sons a
look that told them to not even think about it which only led them to
giggle at the attention they got from her. She just shook her head at
Bart and sister Kate reacting as they did but understood Ollie and Chase
fleeing at the smell from the newborn as they weren't used to babies the
way Kate and Bart had been.
The family flew to Tampa and enjoyed the show from the luxury suite,
with the twins sleeping through the whole event while the boys were
excited over the action and the story they'd tell their friends back
home. They already gave them jokes about having to change diapers, which
they grumbled about but it was done in fun as they had done the same
themselves with their own youngest siblings. Their biggest interest was
Taylor especially as she broke all of the stereotypes regarding
transgender people as she has a wife, has children being born after she
started transitioning, and looked better than their moms which they
reluctantly admitted to one another even if they'd never own up to it.
Taylor was awesome in their eyes, she was everything you could ever hope
for in a wrestler yet was the opposite of what you'd expect a wrestler
to be. Anyone who saw her picture wouldn't believe that she was a multi-
time champion, had beaten some of the biggest and most talented stars in
wrestling, was a national champion in college, and had done more for
independent wrestling in Florida than a lot of the promoters had done in
a lifetime. It was odd to Ollie and Chase, but the boys were actually
interested in her and them, not for the Turner family fortune.
The last one to leave was Richard and Nora. The two stayed behind to
give the two a break and ensure that Vinny and Davis were put to bed and
had their homework done before they left to join his parents at home.
They didn't ask what took so long, only telling the two to be careful if
they were going to enjoy themselves or else they'd end up in the same
situation his brother ended up in.
That was a targeted response that had the desired impact that the two
needed, she cooled herself and he got the message of them being OK with
him having sex so long as he knew the outcome. The two did have sex
before, but not since prom night and hadn't felt the urge to consummate
their love since. The two were well aware of Hank and Lillian's
unplanned pregnancy in college but were more than happy to just share a
bed but not have sex especially with his parents nearby.
The couple helped with Bella so much that Taylor was all but run out of
the house so she could focus on herself for a while. She went right to
work with Killer and his wrestling academy, doing the best she could to
keep the women in top form while trying to get the guys to listen to
her. It was futile as they were set in their ways and wouldn't listen to
the smaller Taylor despite having more experience than anyone there with
the exception of Killer himself.
The Paine Brothers were the ones who listened to her every word, doing
everything that she wanted and prospered while others were slower to get
to the level of being able to perform in front of a live audience- in
just under two months. Others had taken a year and a half to get to
their level, but as filler match candidates they were just about ready.
They would get their shot at the second of two shows that the academy
put on to pay its bills, with Killer knowing that he'd lose the Paines
and ladies after it but would get them replaced by some fresh blood- the
whole point of the shows in the first place.
The show was fun for all involved in it, with the ladies putting on a
strong showing for the crowd while the Paines were a hit with the crowd
as they drew proper amount of heel heat for their promo work and in-ring
abilities. They were the best of the male wrestlers at the academy,
earning offers from the FWA and IoH. Killer told them to take the deal
with IoH as it would be better for them overall with far better
conditions and training as well as letting them work dates locally
around shooting matches.
IoH didn't hire the ladies, but the FWA did. They had a nice payday and
chance to showcase their talent and might get a close look by NEW when
they eventually came looking for talent especially as Taylor had her
mark on the women- a plus for anyone NEW looked into. The ladies were
sad to say goodbye to the woman they had respected but she happily told
them that the FWA was worth leaving as they would be close to home and
if they played their cards right they might get the NEW's attention. She
already had the NEW talent scouts made aware of the ladies and they were
on their radar already, they just needed to be in the ring for a while
before they got a contract offer.
Taylor had gotten a lot of respect from the wrestling world and spent
the next three months working hard to stay in shape and work on her
aerial abilities while trying to get the men to listen to her. The few
who still outright refused were quietly asked to leave, if they couldn't
accept her as an instructor then they had no place in Killer's academy
as she was a needed class as going against her in the ring meant
learning to accept bumps and how to accommodate an aerialist. It was a
tough message to send to the other recruits, but the guys were lazy and
arrogant and hurt themselves already by not listening to Taylor's orders
and were only wasting their hard-earned money on their classes.
In late April, Taylor had to make a token trip north to Boston for the
premiere of the movie that she had a hand in making. As one of the stars
of the movie, Taylor was obligated to walk the red carpet. She did not
want to be put on display but Betty's and the boys' pleading looks
changed her mind, leading to the couple walking out of their limo and
setting off hundreds of camera flashes.
The couple was unknown until her name was pegged by one of the national
media who immediately spread word that the infamous transgender wrestler
who came out in front of the world in the same ring that she had just
beaten an opponent was one of the stars of the movie. Taylor was
immediately flooded with questions while the legitimate media waited
until she reached them to ask her questions. She was forced to oblige,
she didn't want to harm the movie by making it about her instead of the
real stars.
She was asked how she is involved, to which she confessed, "I was hired
to be the stunt double for the lead actress, Francesca, and ended up
being cast as an emergency replacement when Aubrey Woods took issue with
my being transgender. She walked off the set and quit the movie leaving
them without a replacement and looking at delaying the movie for months.
Francesca asked me to fill-in as one of the background extras until a
replacement could be located but when none was available I had to take
on the role and speak several lines throughout the movie. I'm in about
half of the outdoors scenes and was a major part of the big fight in the
climax, alongside doing Francesca's stunts as well as incidental stunts
for several of the other actresses."
She left them without a way of responding, it was widely known that
Aubrey Woods had suddenly quit the production and was involved in a
major scuffle outside the studio where they were filming that included
her saying several homophobic and transphobic slurs but not the actual
circumstances of her leaving the movie. To make things worse for her,
Aubrey was in town trying to shoehorn her way into the premiere and
ended up having to field questions about her quitting the movie and the
real reasons for it instead of "creative differences" as she had claimed
for the past year. She was made to be a transphobic hatemonger as she
showed her true self to the world, with social media taking her on full
force and showing that she had expressed similar views online but had
gone unnoticed by the media yet were on full display if you looked deep
enough.
Francesca embraced Taylor while her husband Donald hugged and kissed
Betty. The couples gave the media a lot to talk about as the couple
showed that they were supporting Taylor and as known members of the,
"Finn Family" were not to be trifled with in Massachusetts. The faintest
whisper of even thinking about trying to harm someone under their wing
was fatal to your social life.
Betty got to meet other members of the Finns as the whole of them were
taking up the lower tier of the theater that was holding the premiere.
The youngest kids were the only ones not attending, they were out on the
town with the elders of the family and were happy to let their parents
enjoy a night off as they showed their support for the family's most
expensive project to date. Being all producers of the movie, the Finns
were actually there on business with few in the family not having a
financial stake in the movie's success and even then they were involved
as part of the initial test screenings.
The movie was a resounding success with Taylor almost in tears as she
watched herself in action on the screen. She delivered her lines
perfectly, stealing the scenes with Francesca smiling at her for being
so casual despite it being a tense afternoon that day. Francesca was the
true star and showed it as she was in an award-winning role that she
knew inside and out and was happy to show the world now.
The after-party was at a private function hall away from the media as
the family enjoyed themselves in a way that got Betty smiling. Francesca
had to fight off the youngest kids trying to play with her as she went
for her parents and introduced them to the cast and crew. Taylor got big
smiles from Francesca's younger brother, with Taylor hugging him for
telling his sister all about her making their introductions go a lot
easier.
It was a fun time, especially as Betty got put on a pedestal by the
ladies as she told about her pregnancy and all of the things that
happened. Sally got a lot of sympathies but Betty happily told how she
had come out on top and with a better family than she had before. She
also loves pointing out that her ex-boyfriend Charlie Fairbanks had to
register as a sex offender and while he got spared much jail time he
ended up flat broke, expelled from school, and looking at a hard life as
a result of his crimes.
The pictures of the babies made their rounds as Taylor and Betty endured
oohs and awes from the kids as well as happy looks from the mothers. It
was unlike anything they had ever encountered before, but it was also
great fun for them as the Finns were some of the most fun people they
ever met. Despite vast wealth between them, they were the most grounded
people and even made Vince Turner seem like he splurged on a lot despite
being frugal with his money most of the time.
The boys were asked about and hearing that they were staying with their
grandparents and helping with their newborn sister caused a lot of
sympathy for the couple. Taylor turned it around to show that they were
proud of Davis and Vinny for being more mature and not jealous as many
kids would be over the birth of a newborn sibling. It wasn't in their
nature to complain too much, Vinny had never done any complaining when
Davis was born so Bella's birth was just a continuation for them.
When they returned home, the boys were happy to tell them about what
they did in school and what they did with Bella. Davis loved to mention
that he got to help feed her while Vinny was happy to help change her
diaper. It was what they wanted to hear, the boys were happy to just do
basic things to show that they were great big brothers to their little
sister.
Things got back into a groove as the movie hype gave way to the
realization that it was bigger than anyone thought it would be. It was
the top-earning movie its opening week and did well throughout the rest
of April and into May, earning $400 million gross domestically and
another $300 million overseas. It was helped by a lot of talk about
Taylor and Francesca, with supporters who had no idea that there was a
transgender actress in it let alone one who stole the scenes and you
would never know that she is transgender at all unless you were told
about it.
The movie was also a big help for Killer Gagne and his school as
Taylor's presence was reported to be a big reason for an uptick in
applicants who wanted to train there. A lot of them would wash out, but
it was still a big thing for the academy even if most were one-day
hopefuls. It was money to Killer, and if it brought a diamond in the
rough to them then it was worth the annoyances it might cause.
By May, the Paine Brothers were starting to make an impact at IoH and
were doing a better job of how they were supposed to perform than anyone
could have realized. They gave Taylor all of the credit, as she was the
one who worked with them on their skills while Killer worked on their
striking and power. They happily defended her from others, she might
have been transgender but that doesn't mean a thing if you work hard at
perfecting your moves and learn the sport inside and out as she did.
Taylor rarely spent a day away from the academy, Killer tried to get her
to take days off but with the sheer number of kids trying to become
wrestlers it was hard to stay away and leave Killer to take on a more
active role. She looked at the financial side of things and asked if she
could buy out half of his stake in the academy, that way he didn't have
to work as hard and she had a reason to stick around. It was tough to do
but he agreed to sell to her, if he didn't he might work himself into an
early grave.
He had one condition for the sale: Taylor had to hire someone to take
over for her so she didn't have to be there as often allowing them to
open up the school to new avenues of fighting sports. He had an ex-MMA
fighter by the name of Ken Ortiz who was falling on hard times due to
his manager stealing a large amount of his money and hiding it, he could
use the job and gave them a younger, more pure, striking coach than any
of the instructors could give to the recruits. It was tough to do but
with Ken looking like he might do something desperate like rob a bank,
she gave in.
The two talked for several hours as Killer prepared a room in his house
for Ken. He was a former top MMA star who refused to take a dive to give
the new talent his chance in the spotlight and ended up being pushed out
of the sport by the owner's greed and a series of lies to athletic
commissions about failed drug tests. He worked hard in rival promotions
but never had the chance to make it to the top again, especially as the
guy he refused to put over flopped and the next, "Big thing" turned into
a drug addict who embarrassed the sport and left a nasty impression on
fans.
He worked for years and amassed a tidy sum of money but saw it disappear
thanks to his manager putting it into his personal account without
permission and hiding it offshore. He lost everything and was stuck
putting on matches for a few hundred dollars a night just to stay
afloat, that is until Killer and his wife found him. Killer took a
liking to him and swore he'd get the man responsible for bilking Ken out
of his hard-earned money, then would get the unscrupulous MMA owner for
fraud and lying to the government about the positive test results.
Killer rarely took a personal interest in people, Taylor was one of only
a few. He was on a roll and had a few friends in law enforcement that he
trained looking into the money. In a few weeks, Ken would have his money
back but hoped Ken would stay on with them out of respect and need.
Ken turned things around and got Taylor to give him her story, nodding
in approval over her being true to herself while adding a somber, "I
grew up in the Air Force and moved around from place to place and spent
some time in Taiwan and The Philippines so I knew quite a few ladies
over in Thailand. When I learned Muay Thai from some of the underrated
masters I got to know them pretty extensively. Those ladies were treated
poorly by 'normal' people but worked hard at their jobs and put up with
things I can't even imagine. They were some of the most beautiful of the
ladies I met, I dated a couple until I moved back to the US but hadn't
found the right lady since."
He asked if she was considering surgery, getting a blush and nod then
announcing, "I'm scheduled to do it in a couple of weeks. Killer is a
pretty sly man, I am going to be out of action for a few weeks so he had
you come in to take on my classes so I don't have to rush back here. I
don't know what else he has planned but it could be someone else coming
in to teach the aerial moves."
Killer was a shrewd man who knew how to keep things to himself and how
to manipulate things to his advantage. He saw a chance to fix a hole in
the instructing as well as give the wrestlers a chance to be in a
situation with someone who wouldn't take their crap and would set them
straight if they stepped over the line in their remarks about Taylor. He
already had some of them talking as they took notice of the imposing man
talking to Taylor, with Taylor showing that he was a friend without
vocalizing it.
Taylor took her leave two weeks later, with her students being told that
they would focus on striking as it was a component that they had been
lagging behind in for a while. Her moves could be put on hold as they
could wait, they were already doing well enough to be at the point of
being able to perform them on their own with little need for her
interaction. Killer wished her the best, but ensured that she knew to
stay away for the next two months or he'd personally duct tape her to
her bed to keep her away while Ken cracked his knuckles and happily told
her that he was smart enough to let her wife make the call and he'd
personally see to it that Betty's orders were followed as he feared her
more than anyone else.
The boys were scared as Taylor told them that he was going to have
surgery, with Vinny begging her to be OK as he didn't want her to die.
Davis gave her a pleading look which she reluctantly confessed to them,
"I'm having surgery to give me what girls have. You saw it with your
sister, girls don't have what you have between your legs. I'm a girl
inside, I'll now become a girl outside. It's a scary surgery but it is
normal and I'll be alright. Your mom and grandmothers will be there for
you, as will your aunts. I don't know if your great-grandmother and
great-aunts will be here but it's possible too."
The duo were relieved, if all of the ladies were going to be there then
they would be alright. Taylor was a bit scared of what might happen,
having heard about the surgery from ladies who had undergone it and who
had some complications she was scared but couldn't stop herself from
undergoing it. She had to be whole, she had a need to fulfill and only
surgery would fulfill it.
The Turner ladies showed up in force as Stacy, Kate, Patty, Faye, and
Sally arrived to give Taylor and Betty a hand while their husbands and
brothers were going to keep the boys occupied. Bart, Ollie, and Chase
would be their biggest distractions but had Richard, Jerome, and Ginny
keeping them company as they endured their grandparents' affections. The
boys knew what was going on and let them be there for them, even if they
didn't want the attention from any of them.
Jerome and Chase were inseparable from the moment they got together and
were the single biggest distractions for Vinny while Davis kept close to
Ginny and Sally. He was unlike his brother, he was more sensitive to
things going on around him and required constant distractions which
Sally's sons gave to him as they saw a chance to play with the big boys.
He actually enjoyed being trusted enough to help feed and diaper the
twins, especially as they loved seeing him and tried to get his
attention as he came into their view whenever he entered a room.
The final checks of Taylor's mental health were done and came back with
full support from the doctors. She was one of the strongest transgender
patients her secondary psychiatrist had ever met and was in a league all
her own as she was so sure of herself yet showed a lot of remorse over
the actions of others against her. She was a great person inside and was
often selfless in her actions, but undergoing her final surgery was a
personal journey that she needed to undergo for her own peace of mind.
Dr. Vlad Acula spoke with her about the surgery after she got her second
opinion approval. He was in a happy mood as she was going to finally be
whole and free of her male past. It was her biggest fear and the one
thing that had plagued her since she started to transition- until she
had her surgery, she was just, "A man in a dress" even if she looked
more like a woman than 90% of the wives she had met in her life and made
just about every woman jealous of her natural femininity and looks.
Taylor's surgery was only one of the surgeries that the doctors
performed on her. Her breasts developed but weren't where her doctors
felt that she needed to be physically so they suggested breast implants
to give her a fuller figure and a more natural shape. She felt offended
until she saw that her breasts were on the small side and with how her
muscular frame and masculine looking shoulders dominated her small frame
they looked un-proportional and unnatural.
Betty talked with her about the implants and offered her own biased
opinion of wanting her to be happy and also enjoying her new additions
during their lovemaking. Taylor blushed at hearing that, with the
sexually rambunctious Betty going to great lengths to give her new
breasts pleasure to show just how she felt about them and how much she
loved Taylor no matter what. She herself had large breasts due to her
pregnancies giving her a voluptuous frame that mirrored how Taylor would
look and showing her that she could be feminine despite the new
additions to her chest.
With great reluctance, she agreed to implants that would bring her
breasts up to a c-cup from her a-cups. She would have the same size
breasts as Betty, but given she was larger overall it would look great
on her. Betty teased her about guys drooling over her breasts, while
happily telling her that no matter what she had on her she would always
love her for herself and if it now made her bisexual then so be it- she
loved Taylor for herself no matter what others thought.
The trip to the hospital was done in silence as Betty, Davis, Bella, and
Vinny kissed her on her cheek as she was wheeled into surgery, with the
three kids being whisked away by their grandparents to visit the
amusement parks to keep their minds off of their mother's surgery. The
boys barely said a word and in a daze for much of the day until they
heard that Taylor was out of surgery and doing well. They only had to
hear her voice for a few seconds to know that she was doing better, she
was groggy and could barely say anything but she was alive and well and
missing them already.
The visit to the hospital the next day was tiring for Taylor but the
boys needed to see her and was happy to give them affection while
keeping Bella away so she didn't catch anything from her. Bella didn't
care as she simply slept through the visit and only cried for a bottle
during the whole trip. She was happy to be around Matt and Wallace, with
the duo babbling to her while she smiled and flapped her arms as the
infants entertained themselves while their cousins kept an eye on them
for their aunts and uncles.
Taylor took time to recover, spending the next two weeks mostly in bed
sleeping or talking with Betty as she endured Betty's fussing over her
doing so little. She broke down in tears when she saw the result of the
surgery, crying at the realization that she no longer had a penis and
had a long road ahead of her as she endured the other aspects of her
changed anatomy. She dreaded dilating, but it was the big mark of honor
for those who underwent their final surgery to endure the strain of the
plastic devices.
Betty tried to kid her about the shape of the dilator resembling a
penis. She growled back to Betty, "It's the closest I'll ever get to a
penis in me. I'm a lesbian now, I feel nothing towards men. You may be
bisexual but I am not. I love you, but honey that's a joke that you
should never make again."
Betty felt terrible and tearfully apologized. Taylor hugged and kissed
her, she needed to hear the truth and know that she wasn't comfortable
as it was with dilating but it was needed. She never had any kind of
feelings about men, she only had eyes for women especially Betty despite
being a woman inside.
It was the first true fight that they had ever had and was one that had
been coming a long time. Betty as a wife was always playful, but she
sometimes went a little too far in her teasing. She knew her limits and
swore that she'd never go that far again, especially if it hurt Taylor
so deeply like the joke had.
The couple spent hours together before Taylor was released, with Vince
having forced her to hire a nurse to ensure that she was taken care of
instead of trying to overdo things for herself. Betty was put off by
that, but Vince was able to soothe her ego by telling her why he did it
and why she needed help. He was right, Taylor would overdo things too
fast and hurt herself if she didn't stop herself.
The nurse worked around Betty's schedule and allowed her to care for
Taylor overnight but kept an eye on her during the day. Taylor was only
allowed to do light exercises and no weightlifting. For Taylor, it was
like she was being told to do next to nothing since all she could do was
swim.
Taylor swam and swam and swam, her arms and legs burned from the
constant swimming and saw her growing tired from the exertion which she
knew to be her body telling her that she was working hard and needed to
cut back on her exertion. It was hard to do but she finally gave in and
spent the fourth week at home doing nothing except walking around the
grounds and running on the treadmill, with her nurse ensuring that she
didn't overdo the running as she watched over her. Taylor hated it, but
she was a decent nurse even if the doctor in Taylor resented her
presence and arrogant behavior at times.
After two weeks at home and constant vigil by the nurse and Betty,
Taylor was allowed to go out and visit Killer at the academy. Betty and
Bella were with her, with Killer stopping everything to talk with her
while Betty kept a solid face that told Taylor to not even think about
getting close to the ring. Killer wisely caught on to Betty's vigil and
moved them over to the office, with the students being forced to get
back to work by the other instructors or feel the wrath of Ken in the
ring in a shoot match.
Killer asked how she was feeling, then told her to stop putting on a
show and accept that she had at least a month before she was medically
cleared to enter the ring again. He refused to let her back until she
got the OK from a doctor, wanting it on paper and not verbally. He
wasn't going to chance things and let her back before she was ready, she
had major surgery and could tear her new vagina apart by going too far
too fast and tear open the wounds that had just healed.
She understood but still felt disappointed. He knew she would be, so he
offered her a somber, "You can be our eyes and ears. Nobody here has
your ability to spot things that are wrong as quickly. You know to get
corrections done as they are happening and can do it better from outside
than inside the ring."
Killer talked about who he thought was just going through the motions
and who needed a push to get them over the hump to being ready for
actual matches. She started to get the feeling that she was being
groomed for something but Killer didn't want to talk about it. Betty
looked him in the eyes and told him firmly, "Tell her or I'll tell her.
She's too close to you to not see you are hiding something important."
He looked down in shame and confessed, "I'm on my last legs physically.
I have to have to go in for a few operations to keep me around for a
couple of more years but I won't last past my 90th birthday. I can't go
back into the ring and probably am not going to be able to travel
anywhere anymore."
Taylor understood, it was him telling her that he was going to have to
retire from wrestling for good in a short period of time. She asked him
affectionately, "Why aren't your kids taking over for you?" He looked
away in shame as he told her, "I haven't spoken to my sons since they
fought me over my being in the ring at my old age. I just can't give it
up, they didn't see that. I love them but I can't give it up."
Betty asked him if he had tried to talk with them since, getting a head
shake to which she told him to be a man and call them and see if they
would help him keep the business afloat. He was reluctant, but she had
her sternest expression that scared him to the core. He agreed to call
them, with Taylor telling him that she would be happy to work with them
to smooth over the transition to them.
Bella made her presence known and giggled at the elderly man, giving him
a sense that she might be on to something as he hadn't met his
grandchildren yet and missed most of his sons' lives as he was always
away on the road in some far-off place wrestling for some promotion who
wanted to use his star power to act like Vince Turner but on a Dixie
Sinclair budget. He had several grandchildren but had never met any of
them despite being in town for years. He missed his family, but he was
too stubborn to admit it.
Betty finally relented and let Taylor return to the academy to do her
advising, but kept her actual work to a minimum as she was only allowed
to watch and make notes and not actually help in the ring or do any
physical labor. She did allow her to act as a doctor to the injured
wrestlers, showing them how to do proper exercises to build up the
strength to improve their injured arms and legs while ensuring that the
wrestlers were clean of any kinds of drugs or growth hormones. It was
tough to make sure that all of them were clean and had the proper
prescriptions, but she ran a tight ship with Killer backing her up when
any of them had issues with her telling them what to do medically.
Taylor got an earful from one doctor who acted like she knew everything
there was to know about sports and how Taylor was a bonehead with no
experience in the field of medicine so had no right to tell her what to
do. She smiled and asked her if she was aware that she was violating
medical ethics rules by treating and prescribing medications to her
husband or that she was speaking to a doctor who was trained in sports
medicine and not a general practitioner. Taylor loved listening to the
excuses, to which Taylor happily explained to the woman, "By all means,
continue your complaint. I am no spring chicken and have not only proper
credentials but have years in the business while your husband is just a
newbie while you are fresh out of your internship. Please, fight me on
this. You won't win."
The doctor finally backed off but Taylor did lodge a complaint to the
state about the woman treating her family medically. She didn't want to
do it but the woman needed a smack in the face and a dose of how things
need to be done before she hurt her husband. Taylor was in the right and
if that woman wasn't stopped she might accidentally kill her husband's
career if not permanently harm him.
Killer finally gathered his wits once the doctor drama died off and
called his sons and asked them to help out at the academy as Taylor
requested, explaining to them why he needed them and who was overseeing
the academy with both trying to ensure that it was genuine and he was
finally going to be away from action and relaxing from now on. Taylor
got roped into talking with them, both as an owner and as a doctor. She
was brutal in her commentary about Killer's cutting back, he had the
wrath of Betty to fear which was more than enough to get the elderly
Killer to relent and listen to all of them.
She forced them to accept that he was genuine in his pleading, with the
two agreeing to meet with him at the academy but only if he was fully
away from the ring for good. He sighed and asked if he could do
something spectacular and got Vince to agree to feature Killer in the
ring one last time and tell the world that Killer Gagne was finally
ending his involvement with wrestling for good. It was going to be a
spectacular celebration of his life, with everyone he knew from the "old
days" coming out to see him off and with the other legends and up-and-
coming wrestlers showing their respects to a living legend.
Killer's sons weren't happy with their father for doing that, but
talking with Taylor smoothed over the hurt feelings as it was going to
be the very last time anyone would see him in any ring anywhere as she
would ensure that nobody would dare allow him close to one let alone in
one. She was trying to show that she truly cared about their father, and
it was working on them. She was trying to keep things in the proper
perspective, but it was still tough to see him doing things that he
wasn't fit to do anymore.
The grand finale of Killer Gagne's career was a glorious event for all.
His sons, the great Harley and Tully Anderson, were shown on camera for
the first time with both having long careers in the ring themselves but
not as spectacular as their father but enough to have their own
followings by fans in the audience. They never made it known to the
general public their true connection to Killer, with Killer happily
telling all who would listen that his boys were their own people and
everything that they did was done on their own and by themselves
especially earning their individual and tag team titles.
As he went down his list of his greatest achievements and were met by
the various people whom he had worked with, trained, or had inspired he
broke down in tears at seeing just how many people he had a hand in
helping in the 60 years he had spent in the ring. Taylor got the biggest
hug from him as she was introduced by him as his greatest student and
the one person in all whom he was proudest of for having the greatest
impact on others as well as himself. He touted her making the sport into
something that fans of all ages were able to enjoy and keeping things
fresh so new fans could enter the sport without needing to know all of
the backstories of all of the major wrestlers.
He happily told the world that she was the bravest person he ever met
and what she had done in her private life was stronger than anything
anyone else he had ever met had been able to do- become who she truly
was inside. He was adamant that she was one of the greatest wrestlers
ever to set foot in the ring and would be remembered by history as the
one who brought wrestling into the next great age. He loved her like a
granddaughter and would always cherish his time with her as an equal and
as family.
Taylor was speechless, with Killer having her escort him from the ring
for the final time. He gave his final bow to the audience and kissed
them all goodbye, tearfully doing so to show just how painful it was to
leave the sport for good. Harley and Tully followed close behind, with
the full GCW, NEW, and IoH rosters and every retiree on the GCW payroll
or who had ever wrestled Killer lining the walkway and stage to show
their respect to Killer.
He broke down as he took off his signature jacket for the final time,
handing it off to the Smithsonian to put on display for all to see then
handing them the matching boots, knee pads, and elbow pads to give the
complete look for the display they made for him. It was the only place
that he felt deserved to hold his equipment, especially as they were his
most prized among all of the things he owned. It was his own way of
telling himself that it was over, he could never return to the ring even
if he wanted to.
The night saw matches that were personally requested by Killer, with the
wrestlers setting aside all of their feuds to take part in dream matches
that few believed would ever happen yet old rivalries were set aside for
one night to accommodate Killer's request. Guys who hated one another
got along in the ring for one match, with fans cheering at the top of
their lungs as some of them were in action for the first time in 20 or
30 years and looked great despite their advanced age. None of them cared
about how it was looking on TV, the fact that they got renewed interest
in themselves was a big plus but being there to show their respect to
the one guy in the business that everyone liked and cared about mattered
most.
Killer got Taylor to do commentary on a match that he knew she'd love:
Impossible, Mickayla Jace, Anya, and Tanya vs. The Lincolnshire Bombers,
Garnet Houston Pete, and Ara?a. It was a full mixed gender match with
both men and women going against one another rather than standard
man/man and woman/woman rules. It was also a match that cause the crowd
to go absolutely nuts as Killer happily told the audience that he had
worked hard with each of those people during his decades in the ring and
was happy to have passed on quite a bit of his knowledge to the person
who had helped them along the road to being top stars: Taylor Turner.
It was his way of showing the world that he had a chosen successor in
what he had done in life and that was Taylor. She had to fight tears as
she told the at-home audience just how she knew each one of the
wrestlers, with Impossible and Mickayla being her oldest friends, Tanya,
Anya, and Ara?a being some of the first people she ever helped as a
wrestler herself, Garnet being the person who put her over with fans
when she made the jump to GCW, and the Bombers being the first to give
her a feud even if it was not meant to be due to her retiring due to her
transition. Killer happily told the real impact on their lives as each
and every one of them had indirectly benefited from Taylor and revealed
a secret that not even Taylor knew: she had opened up doors that had
been closed to them, with each having their fledgling careers saved by
her allowing them to wrestle onward and advance to championships as
Ara?a held the women's title, Tanya and Anya held the women's tag team
title, Impossible held the men's title, and the Lincolnshire Bombers
held the men's tag team title.
Killer's respect and love for Taylor was a topic for debate among fans
and saw the dirtsheets trying to claim that it was all a publicity stunt
by the GCW to make her seem likable instead of hated. Killer got wind of
that claim and personally confronted the worst offenders backstage
during a break, telling them angrily, "You guys have never changed since
you started doing your little rag back in the early 80s. I remember when
you were just snot-nosed kids living in your parents' basements and
using your dads' computers to type up your lies. You haven't changed a
bit, you will do anything to get attention for yourselves even bad
attention that tries to ruin the lives of others."
He took a deep breath and calmly did one of his greatest promos ever,
telling them, "Taylor Turner is my favorite student. She came to me to
learn the sport but really didn't need to do anything. She is the best
natural talent this sport ever had, she is good if not great and didn't
need to learn anything yet she came to me to get a leg-up in the
business. I respect her deeply and admire her ability to see things in
matches you will never see: botches, impending twists, injuries, and fan
reactions. She knows how it all works and performed at a level few can
ever achieve. You think my admiration for her is just a big publicity
stunt? Why? Because she is transgender? You fools never gave her the
time of day before she transitioned and trashed her as being nothing
when she was one of the most popular wrestlers in IoH and NEW. Well she
is something alright, she is the best damn athlete I ever saw and who
earned her respect among wrestlers for what she can actually do not what
you think she can do. I love that woman like family. I treat her like a
granddaughter because she was the only family I had for a while. She's
an amazing person who you will never know. Hell, you don't know anything
at all about this sport let alone the people involved in it. You haven't
changed a bit. You are still just a bunch of snot-nosed kids."
Killer was frothing at the mouth when he stopped. There were laughs and
cheers as the dirtsheets were kicked out of the building for. He had
killed their careers, there was no recovery from their latest antics.
Things calmed down after that, Killer watched the matches from a special
throne and cheered alongside the fans as the matches went on for two
hours after the confrontation. Taylor kept to the backstage area,
letting others do the hard work but seeing that it was just a big fun
show instead of the serious show she was used to seeing. It was also one
of the highest rated shows GCW ever had, people who had never seen a
wrestling match on TV watched the spectacle and enjoyed the fun as it
wasn't serious nor was it meant to be part of any story allowing for
great family fun to be had by all.
When the night ended, Killer got a rousing ovation with the crowd on
their feet as he left ringside for the final time. He swore to the media
that he would never grace the ring again, the last time would be when he
was laying in state after he kicked the bucket. He was happy to watch
from the stands like a fan and talk shop with other retirees, but his
time around the ring was finally finished.
Back in Orlando the next day, Killer met with Harley, Tully, and Taylor
to talk about what they'd do with the academy now that he was retired
for good. He was the face of the academy, they had to have him there to
help bring in recruits. Taylor simply told him to do what he did best:
talk with them, tell them what to do and listen to them so they'd get
the clear picture that he cared about their training.
His sons hammered out what they'd do with the academy and worked around
their own schedule as the duo worked independent shows around Florida.
They would pick up Killer's slack and give Taylor a chance to be away
more often as Harley was an aerialist and Tully was a submission
specialist both of which she had been teaching. Killer saw that the
academy was going to be in good hands, especially as they were going to
work with him more and give him a chance to make amends as a family.
Tully and Harley introduced their wives and children to Killer and got
the Gagne family together for the first time. Their own mother sadly had
to be coaxed into attending, but Taylor orchestrated the tense
introductions and saw their mother openly weep as she saw her
grandchildren for the first time. She was unable to speak, with Taylor
figuring out that they were the spitting image of Tully and Harley at
the same ages while their fathers shared a lot of facial similarities to
her instead of Killer.
Taylor got the idea to start moving away from the operations and let the
family business remain in the family. She was part of the family, but
she felt it wasn't her place to get involved in it anymore now that
Harley and Tully were involved. She would miss it but it was the Gagne
family legacy and she needed to let them achieve it on their own.
Taylor wound down her involvement by handling the introductions to the
recruits then fielding all of their questions. The questions weren't
offensive, she expected them and gave her best answers that she could
come up with with the limited timeframe that she had. She talked with
them for two hours before she turned things over Tully and Harley for
good, letting them show just why they were the new bosses as she and
Killer watched them put on an exhibition for the recruits with Killer
smiling proudly at seeing the two do moves that he could never dream of
doing yet were their signature moves.
Killer smiled at Taylor as she watched the brothers putting on their
exhibition and told her, "Give it time and you will be back in the ring
putting on a show for your true fans. You can't stay away for much
longer, it's in your blood. You have a right to wrestle, your
grandfather won't let anyone tell you otherwise. Your aunt is holding
out hope that you'd join them now that you are whole. What you had is
gone, now you are one of them in full and nothing can hold you back
anymore. Don't stop anyone from telling you that you don't belong with
them, show them that you are all woman and that you deserve to be there
with them. Be the wrestler that you were born to be."
She reluctantly called Stacy and told her what Killer had admitted to
her. Stacy listened politely then let her calm herself before telling
her, "We have an opening that I never filled because I wanted you to be
in the ring with us. You earned your right to compete, we won't
discriminate and you are the best of the best when it comes to women.
Stop fooling yourself, you belong in the ring with us."
Taylor went to work getting in shape, using the weights and ring in the
mansion to start building up her stamina as well as getting rid of a lot
of her ring rust that she had accumulated due to lack of motion as you
couldn't simulate the movements in a normal workout. She enjoyed the
workouts and got to show her son's friends her moves as she worked out
giving them a lot of fun as they saw firsthand a lot of the things that
wrestlers did. The boys cheered her, with the kids giving her some
needed distractions as well as the simulation for crowd noise and the
drive that she needed to keep working towards what she couldn't bring
herself to admit: she still loved wrestling.
The boys' parents gave her odd looks as their sons recounted her
workouts, with Betty whispering to them about Taylor being forced by
everyone she cared about to return to the ring and compete among the
women as she should have been doing for years. She loved being in the
ring and had open arms awaiting her when she was back to normal. The
parents saw the look on Taylor's face since she started her training,
with her smile showing through as she walked out after one of her
sessions.
Over at the Killer Gagne Wrestling Academy, Taylor worked with Ken on
her striking moves as it was a skill that she severely lagged being in
compared with other women especially as she wasn't used to fighting and
learned traditional wrestling moves and never incorporated her martial
arts background into her matches due to her collegiate wrestling taking
precedent. She was used to a lot of submission holds but lacked the fast
strikes, chops, kicks, and elbows that were now dominating the sport. It
was a tough request to make to him, but Ken was waiting for her to ask
instead of volunteering to help her.
The Anderson Brothers were itching to give her lessons on some of their
moves, even if she was used a different type of aerial attack and
submission hold than they taught. To her surprise, they had a larger
number of moves than anyone realized, with the two proudly telling
Taylor that she underestimated the duo based on bad information. The two
studied under some of the greats in the business, with Ricky Snuka and
Dean Backlund teaching them their moves and helping them develop their
own versions so they could continue their own legacies without their
names always being brought up and even chose the duo's ring names for
them as a way of distancing them from their father's own legacy.
Taylor did as she did with their father when he honed her skills six
years before, she listened and she learned. She spent two months working
with the duo as she perfected the strikes, holds, and aerial moves that
each knew before they deemed her ready to begin working with others in
the ring on her own. For someone who was half-owner of the academy to be
among them was an eye-opener for the recruits, especially as they
learned that she had a preexisting relationship with GCW, NEW, and the
various local independent promotions that were hard to understand and
even harder to accept as truth.
The fall talent showcase would be her first reintroduction to the
wrestling world. She would face off against one of the top women in the
academy and was participating as a way of getting back into the groove
of being in front of a live audience. Her opponent would win the match
but would be subjected to all of Taylor's new moves as well as give the
scouts something to chew on as she used all of her own moves to try to
keep Taylor on the mat for the three count, giving them a chance to see
the real value of her as she showed she could take a beating in the ring
and give a convincing performance.
To protect her identity, Taylor donned a mask for the bout and had the
Anderson brothers handle the scouts with both telling them that she
wasn't one of the wrestlers who was available due to a contract with a
different promotion. It would cause speculation about who was under the
mask, but it was a true statement as Taylor was under contract to GCW
with her VP contract being a completely different contract altogether
from her performer contract.
The event was a big success as more of their young recruits got noticed
and several got contract offers from the promotions. Impact of Honor
tried hard to push for Taylor to sign with them, going so far as to
badmouth Taylor and Killer without realizing it. Tully and Ken had to
offer their size advantage over the scout as an incentive to back off of
her, however Harley had the cooler head and called Dixie Sinclair
directly and had her rein in her wayward scout before he needed a
rectal-cranial inversion.
Harley had to give an excuse for withholding who was under the mask and
why they were so keen to have her remain with them. After finding the
perfect response he happily told her, "Vince will be upset if you tried
to poach her. She's not available. She is still training here and won't
appear for you again. She's moved on from your promotion and has
unfinished business in the ring."
Dixie caught his drift and gasped in shock. Harley grinned, then added,
"She's returning to the ring for a run in the women's division. She's
still under contract to GCW despite changing gender. She's also the duly
appointed HBIC, so it wouldn't be proper for her to work for you while
still producing for them. She knows that you had her back in her male
days and hired her despite King Reign trying to get her run out of
wrestling but you were lucky to get her so you should be happy with
that."
He hung up, leaving Dixie to tell the scout to back away as she was
already employed by GCW and is on a rehabilitation stint and performed
as a favor to the academy. He didn't buy it and told her that she was
being foolish but Dixie countered with an angry, "I talked with the one
person there who will never lie to me. I have known Harley Anderson
since he was born and if he says she's untouchable then we are staying
clear of her. She's contracted to them for a lot more than we can offer
her so drop it."
Harley gave her a list of names to keep an eye on that they were working
on and who would be a good fit for IoH when they were ready, it was the
least he could do for her after the Taylor drama but he did respect her
enough to throw her a bone. Taylor would be actively involved with them
so it wasn't as if they were getting nobodies, Dixie would get her
money's worth from them. Harley had an eye for the business side of
training so her giving them a gentle nudge was lucrative in the long
run, Taylor and he had talked about it and it was due to his ability to
make those kinds of deals that the academy was safe in the bothers' hand
especially as they were doing more than anyone could have asked for.
Taylor needed only some more time in the ring before she was at the
level that she could compete with the ladies of GCW. Rather than tossing
her to the wolves, she was told by Vince to take some matches in the NEW
so they could work on her promos and prepare the division for her
arrival. He would have to let a couple of ladies go due to their
attitudes towards Taylor but they were on thin ice already for the
declining quality of their matches and bad reactions from fans not
liking them as wrestlers making the ladies' departures barely noticeable
and with no real impact on the quality of the matches as a whole.
During a conference call with the ladies before a Monday Night Wars
broadcast just before their annual Thanksgiving show, Vince told all of
the women that Taylor would start competing as a member of the women's
division. He watched them react to the news with the expected loudmouths
taking offense to Taylor being allowed back in the ring. They didn't
hold back, they had good reason to see her as less of a woman especially
as she was more of one than any of them simply by how she carried
herself.
Vince listened as the leader of the vocal insults, Sensational A.J. let
out a loud, "No matter how much that man chops off of his body he will
never be a woman! You are insulting all of us when you hire that freak
let alone allow him to act like a woman. Are you trying to kill GCW? You
are going to make a mockery of us and revert us back 20 years!"
She tried to look for more support but none of the ladies dared to say
anything. Her stooge Sunny Vachon, the only other person who had an
issue with Taylor at all, complained, "What kind of message are you
trying to send to kids- that it's OK to be a homo? That anyone can be a
woman just by putting on a dress? That you can chop off your dick and
call yourself a woman and nothing happens? This is sick, it's something
you'd do years ago but not now Vince!"
The ladies who hadn't expected that kind of outburst gasped while Vince
smiled and happily told the two, "You two are terminated per your
conduct clause in your contracts. You have become a nuisance behind the
scenes ever since Taylor came out and have done nothing to give us
reason to allow you to remain employed by us. By all means, please sue
us for wrongful termination. I'd love for the world to hear just how
nasty you really are. You have reputations for being insulting towards
fans, having the world see how homophobic you are on top of transphobic
will kill any potential future indie work."
The two walked out of the room vowing revenge but did so while Stacy was
there with the GCW legal counsel and happily handed the two their
termination paperwork and told to exit the building. She was on a roll
and told the other ladies that they were not going to discriminate
against Taylor because a few have an issue with her personal life. As
she was a woman legally they couldn't force her to compete with the men
and thus she was competing with the men whether the ladies agreed with
it or not.
She grinned and happily added, "If any of you transitioned to male we
would accommodate you in the same way." That raised eyebrows until they
recalled how they had several masculine women who were employed by them
in the past who competed with the men but didn't last long due to King
Reign being against anyone who didn't fit his views on what wrestlers
should look like. They were great performers but saw their careers end
due to King's actions, they transitioned to being men years later when
they couldn't live as women any longer but couldn't return to the ring
due to all of the terrible memories of it.
Vince talked about his plans for Taylor and what he'd do with her until
Wrestlecade. Taylor was to be in the NEW until then and would join the
GCW just after the event. He might throw her a bone and have her join at
the event but was waffling on the idea, he needed a solid idea which
Taylor's three friends had waiting for just such an occasion.
Taylor would save the trio of Tanya, Anya, and Ara?a from their current
feud partners in a battle of the top heels vs. top babyfaces as one of
the female heels tried to interfere in the match both giving them an
even number and setting up feuds involving the four against the other
four. It was hard to refuse that plan as the ladies saw that they could
go one step further and have Taylor revealed to be under the mask and
bodysuit after the match. Vince smirked at the ingenuity of the trio, it
was something that Taylor is known for yet had gotten the trio to pick
up on entirely on their own.
The issue that some were concerned about was Taylor's power and prowess
in the ring. The biggest fear of working with Taylor was they would get
hurt due to her testosterone and brute strength, something that the guys
had shown themselves to possess in abundance whenever they worked out
together in sparring matches and as a bit of fun during downtime. Vince
let Taylor answer, with Taylor explaining to a shocked group, "I'm still
an aerialist first and foremost and I know most of you are used to what
I can do thanks to Ara?a. I have been working on my striking and
submission holds with the guys at the Killer Gagne Academy, you recall
that I was so close to him well it's through this that I got some extra
instructions in those. His sons Tully and Harley Anderson, as well as
Ken Ortiz, have worked with me for the past three months to get me to
alter my moves to work with all of you so I'm not going to use power
moves nor going overboard trying to compensate for larger masses. I can
use them, but it doesn't fit my body like aerial attacks and holds do.
I'm really no different on the mat than any of you."
Ara?a offered a joking, "It figures you become someone else and change
everything inside and out." That got everyone laughing while Taylor
smiled at the compliment. Vince added, "She's going to work at NEW to
get used to the ring. As much as the training is top level, nothing
beats being in the ring again and among those who don't fear being
kicked out should they do the wrong thing. She's still retaining her
behind the scenes role, but in the ring, she's just like any of you."
The meeting broke with Taylor talking with the NEW ladies about how
they'd work out their matches in the next few months. She would be a
glorified jobber to the ladies, with the ladies using her to get a lot
of attention for themselves as Taylor would be either a babyface or a
heel. She would wear a mask and bodysuit until the tag team match so
nobody outside of the organization would know the truth; when she
finally ripped off the suit and mask it would shock everyone.
Taylor trained hard for the next few weeks and only stopped when the NEW
complex closed for their annual Christmas break. Taylor taped multiple
matches and worked with the newer wrestlers on their moves while joining
the producers in overseeing the matches from the rear. She was
essentially their boss in all but name due to being the head of all GCW
productions so worked with them to make the show the best possible show
while not running the wrestlers down with the sheer number of matches.
Christmas was an all-hands affair as all Turners attended the event in
Orlando. The Blacks would attend per orders from Vince and Patty Turner,
in his eyes they had earned the claim of being family as they are blood
to his great-grandchildren and close to his grandsons. Carey and Jerry
tried to bow out from the event but Patty told the two that they were
not going to get away easily.
Richard and Nora were put under the spotlight as Percy and Faye tried to
ask about the two of them marrying, with both being unable to answer the
question while Vinny and Davis gave the two hopeful eyes as if to tell
them they wanted to be part of the wedding. The couple wouldn't give a
straight answer and always changed the subject when the others tried to
come close to asking for a firm date on when they would stop fooling
themselves and tie the knot. It became a game for everyone, with the
couple trying desperately to avoid answering questions and always
finding ways of turning it around on them so they wouldn't answer
anything clearly.
The kids enjoyed their time with the family with Sally's twins being the
center of attention as the 15-month-old boys getting the chance to tear
into presents from each of their relatives while Bella giggled at the
boys getting the adults rushing to help them before they opened one of
the many other presents for others. They got the most presents out of
the lot, with Bella getting the second most but not really caring about
them for more than a few seconds. Davis and Vinny enjoyed the ones that
they got, with Vinny cheering at the top of his lungs as he got the
newest game system and had to be held back from rushing to play with it.
The family meal was quiet with only the three toddlers making any sounds
and even then it was due to them not being used to the attention that
they were getting. Davis helped with Bella's diaper and caused Vinny to
laugh at him being so much like a girl, sparking Davis to yell out that
he didn't care about that. Vinny didn't realize that he had hit a nerve
in his brother and tried to apologize but only ended up sent to his room
for the rest of the night and unable to play his game system for a week.
Davis' reaction was a concern but a talk with him later would solve it.
They didn't suspect any problem but he still needed to talk to his
parents about what was bothering him. It was rare for him to snap at his
brother, but he was defensive of his sister and mother so it was bound
to happen sooner or later.
Things were quiet through New Year's Day, Davis talked with Betty and
Taylor and was upset that his brother embarrassed him because he was
trying to do the right thing for his mothers and give them the chance to
talk with their grandparents because it sounded important. He admitted
that he liked to help out since none of his friends did it at home and
their mothers complained about them not doing their chores. Both smiled
at him while Betty told him, "You are doing a lot more than you need to.
You don't have to do anything you don't want to, I know you don't like
your sister's poop and you hate when she kicks at you when you try to
lift her up to put the diaper under her."
It was a sweet moment between them that only served to show how much he
was like Betty in how he acted even if he didn't have one iota of being
a girl inside. He cared about others, he had always had a special bond
with people who needed help and was the first to try to help you even if
you didn't ask that of him. His brother needed prompting, with him
taking after Taylor in how stubborn he could be but he was also quick to
defend his family from others if anyone badmouthed them or threatened
them.
The mini-crisis was a rarity for the family, usually the boys were
alright with one another and Vinny was by his brother's side showing him
how to do everything. Davis doing things with his mothers got him
jealous, which he retaliated with unknowingly doing something that was
punishable and doing so in front of the rest of the family. He took his
punishment and apologized, with his mothers explaining to him just why
his brother was acting that way and how it wasn't girly and how he'd
have to do it too when he got older as he'd do it for his aunt and uncle
when they had their own babies.
When school started up again, Taylor talked with Vinny's friends'
mothers and got them to see that their sons were out of line with how
they were taunting Davis and Vinny. They were actually upset at their
sons, it was something that they hadn't noticed before and were
genuinely angered at the sexist attitude the boys were showing towards
Davis and women. They were more than happy to set them straight, even
offering to have them change Bella's smelly diapers whenever they were
with the Turners.
They had words with the boys then found the sources of the problem:
their older brothers and in two cases, their fathers. The older males
were upset at the boys doing basic things for Bella and told them to
stay away from feeding, dressing, and diapering the toddler as it was "a
woman's job." The ladies had strong words with them about that, telling
them they'd be happy to show them what a man's job is.
For the two husbands, it was trouble as they were out of work and were
struggling to find jobs. Their wives were actually working full-time in
the evenings so their husbands lay around all day doing little as the
boys did their own thing creating messes. They smirked, telling them
that as they felt the need to tell others what was women's work and what
was men's work they could clean up after themselves then do their own
cooking and laundering their own clothing.
Their husbands scoffed at the idea, but the boys were spending a lot of
time with the Turners so they always ate at the Turner mansion so
wouldn't go hungry- but the husbands did. They struggled to cook and
couldn't clean much, making bigger messes and cursing up a storm over
their troubles. After a month, they gave in and begged their wives to
clean their messes while they sought out new jobs.
Taylor and Betty didn't get involved beyond giving the boys a place to
go after school. The boys were quick to learn that they had to clean
their messes and were forced to be polite to the ladies, with the two
wisely not saying a word about Bella's changing especially when Vinny
had to help out. They made a complete turnaround, showing that the
influence was mainly their fathers and that was soon fixed.
The other boys were tougher to fix, but as they started to act out in
class and towards the girls their sexist attitudes became a problem and
led to losing several friends including Vinny and the other boys that
were getting closer to him. When the boys tried to go over Vinny's house
he refused, especially as he didn't want them to insult his brother
anymore because Davis liked to help with Bella. This led to a war of
words among them with the boys using foul language and insulting Taylor,
prompting them to be suspended for a week and later sent to a different
school when they wouldn't stop their behavior.
Davis' own friends didn't care about Bella and liked that they could be
seen as big boys as they helped with her. Seeing the younger boys being
normal despite changing a diaper gave the older boys a sense of just how
stupid things were and ignored all of the noise that others raised about
gender roles. As far as they could see, it was just a job that they were
rewarded for doing, especially as Davis' friends got to have ice cream
or play in the pool while the older boys played the game system.
Things were quiet after the family upheavals. The fathers sought and
found steady work, being hired by NEW as part of their stage crew and
doing a lot of the hard work behind the scenes as they replaced two
retiring longtime employees. It was a coincidence that they were hired,
they applied for the job without knowing Taylor's connection and earned
it by showing they had the skills to do the job right.
Taylor worked hard to get into ring shape with the NEW ladies and
perfected her character so it was a vastly different character than she
had portrayed before. She donned her old mask and bodysuit, giving the
character new life and the fans something to root against as they
recalled her past antics during the brief time Taylor had to perform as
a woman in the NEW. The ladies who didn't know the history of the
character asked what the big deal was, with the producers and crew
explaining, "It's Taylor's emergency character, one that she saved our
hides with over two years ago. She donned the outfit to save the show as
we would have had to cancel two matches and an upcoming major storyline
because of one of the ladies getting sick and then leaving the company."
Taylor didn't have to say anything, her mother Nancy added, "Dawn Rae is
her ring name in that outfit. It's also the character she used when she
was the original Ara?a and called herself that as she trained the
current Ara?a. Few know she is under the mask, and they aren't talking.
Neither should you. A lot of effort went into keeping her secret,
especially as it would have destroyed the careers of the other ladies in
the two companies at the time."
She had a strong force in her voice, one that told the ladies to shut up
about it. Taylor prepared them for what she'd perform and worked with
them to receive their moves. She had to alter her own moves to be closer
to what she used before, ditching aerial moves for quick clotheslines,
suplexes, and hip tosses as they were commonplace and anyone could
perform those simple moves after a few practices.
"Dawn Rae" was a big hit with fans as they remembered her style and
attributed her new moves to her being away in the indies for so long.
She never spoke and her entrances were simply fades to black as she
rushed to the ring and climbed in during the mass confusion. The
announcers called the mysterious woman in the ring, "Dawn Rae" by
accident so the whole plan to keep her identity a secret was altered,
with the commentary team having to think on their feet and extolling her
virtues as a performer and that she was away for over two years training
for her triumphant return to NEW as a cover.
Taylor lost handily to the ladies, making them look good in her losses
while playing the part of the new heel perfectly. She even became the
heel of heels as she got the main heels over with her antics making them
want to hurt her while keeping kayfabe and enduring their punishments in
retaliation. She was a good match for most of them, with the younger
heels being able to get more matches than they would have normally had
while Taylor got herself into ring shape and worked the crowd into a
frenzy for the real storyline matches that followed.
"Dawn Rae" caught the eye of the dirtsheets who tried to figure out her
identity as there no information about who she really was under the mask
online, but could never get in close enough to get a good image of her
in the ring or backstage. They were kept as far away as the NEW
producers could keep them back, with the dirtsheets being told that if
they tried to get backstage they'd have them arrested for trespassing as
they had no right to be back there at all. That was seen as a challenge,
a challenge the dirtsheets tried to call their bluff on and lost badly
as two were arrested for trespassing and a third arrested for assaulting
officers as they were being removed.
They wouldn't have succeeded anyway, the layout of the NEW's arena was
different than any other one as it wasn't a real arena: it was actually
a production studio that connected to a TV and radio broadcast training
facility so anyone trying to get past the stage area was immediately
removed from the building. The wrestling was part of an agreement
between GCW and the college to help train future live music and
entertainment production personnel with the students being part of the
action with real training in live event productions. The school took
great pride in their security, so the dirtsheets were in for a shock as
the school police officers arrested them and dragged them away kicking
and screaming.
Taylor visited them on behalf of NEW and proudly told them, "That's now
your second strike. I am here to issue you restraining orders on behalf
of GCW and NEW. We will be getting similar ones in each of the states
that GCW holds events in so you are forewarned: come back again and we
will prosecute you to the full extent of the law. You aren't members of
the legitimate media, you were barred from being at any event of ours
yet you tricked one of the young backstage producers into allowing you
in. That same thing won't happen again. We won't tolerate your antics
anymore. Your threats of giving reviews that we don't deserve and
telling others to view IoH or Full Japan Pro Wrestling won't work as
your fans have finally seen how creepy you are thanks to your antics
tonight. Word spread. The students aren't the ones who are under a gag
order, NEW personnel are and those students are angry with your
actions."
She smiled and added, "By the way, 'Dawn Rae' told me to tell you that
she will never speak to you so drop the stalking act. You can't bully
her into talking to you, she doesn't care if you threaten her career.
She laughs at your actions, by all means, trash her- you are only making
her stronger."
Taylor left as the GCW's Florida lawyer handed them 50 restraining
orders taken out in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, as well as the nine
provinces of Canada. They weren't fooling around, they paid good money
to have the lawyers talk with judges to ensure that the trio was banned
from coming to GCW shows. The poor dirtsheets couldn't even attend in
person the smallest house shows in the Canadian Maritimes let alone see
any of the major shows that they had enjoyed unfettered access to for
decades.
"Dawn Rae" was a mystery to them and none of them could figure out that
she was Taylor. Taylor had changed a lot since her forced coming out,
her figure had filled out and her breasts had enlarged along with the
implants that she now sported. The dirtsheets hated that, yet she had
pulled one over on them by performing publicly right in front of their
faces and unnoticed by everyone but NEW's employees.
The spotlight fell on Taylor as they had their annual Battle Royal event
the night after their big Take On event, with Taylor participating and
saw just about every woman involved pushing her out making the crowd go
wild. She barely got into the ring before she had to run out for safety,
pleading with anyone to help her stay in. It was great fun for the
ladies as they worked together to both put her back into the ring then
take great pride as five women helped push her out over the top rope so
she was eliminated.
Taylor spent the rest of the show helping with the GCW women's
championship match then with the men's championship match as Ara?a and
Impossible were in tough matches that required a lot of close
coordination between their opponents so they didn't hurt one another in
the tables and chairs matches that they had insisted on weeks before. It
was scripted so both could take a month off to recuperate at home and
enjoy their spouses, so they agreed to drop their belts then worked
their way back in March.
"Dawn Rae" allowed Taylor a good respite from the spotlight as she was
going to be spotlighted by the media due to her involvement in the
award-winning movie that she had filmed nearly two years before, with
GCW Studios earning an Academy Award for Best Picture as well as
watching Francesca Herman and Steven Howard winning awards for Best
Adapted Screenplay and Best Director. Francesca didn't win for Best
Actress, but she and Taylor were happy as the winner was one of the
actresses involved in their movie and who took a shine to Taylor as
Taylor stepped in to perform her stunts when the actress was told by
producers that she couldn't due to filming commitments- the eventual
role that she would go on to win her Academy Award for.
The movie was delayed due to issues with Steven wanting constant changes
that eventually cost them a full six months while later seeing lawsuits
which forced GCW to hold off releasing it for another six months until
it was settled. The lawsuit was simply the former screenwriter and
Aubrey Woods making things hard on them and trying to earn money from
being fired. GCW was caught in a bind as they had to hold off releasing
the movie until the legalities were cleared which cost them a full year
making the movie actually do better since it faced less competition.
Taylor declined to attend the awards ceremony despite invitations from
multiple members of the cast. She was invited by the Academy but knew
their real intent was to use her to make it appear that they were
diversifying when in reality she was the only transgender person
involved in movies that year that was in a positive light as others were
either prostitutes or comedic "Surprise, I'm transgender!" shock value
roles. She was joined by others in declining, with her explanation of
having to assist in the final preparations for Wrestlecade being
irrefutable whereas the claims by others were clearly meant to be a
piggyback off of Taylor's refusal for their own gain.
Taylor smiled as Francesca looked amazing, with poor Donald looking like
he'd rather be anywhere else as he blushed and texted Taylor his
reactions. She happily kept him going all night, with the media catching
wind of the texting and asking about it to which he happily told them,
"I was just listening to a few ideas that were being sent by Taylor
Turner that she wanted an outside opinion about. She's a great mind but
wanted an unbiased view on things, so it was a great relief from the
tense nature of the night. I am glad to have been part of the
festivities on behalf of my family and the other members of the Finn
Family as we all shared in the movie's win. We are pleased with a friend
winning Best Actress, as much as we would have loved for my wife to win
we are pleased to lose to a person we gladly call a friend."
He had the media abuzz as he shut down all talk about friction between
friends as well as giving a big insight into Taylor's mindset. Percy
happily told reporters that it was true about Taylor, she would go to
people that she trusted to see what they'd think about twists and turns
in an attempt to keep things from being too outlandish. It was all part
of her mindset of being realistic yet fictional, she had a great grasp
of the minds of people who were new to sports entertainment and what
they'd like to see happen.
Taylor was the talk of the world for two weeks as she all but abandoned
Hollywood and its attempts to exploit her. The NEW ladies were a happy
respite from the cameras, with "Dawn Rae" being a fan's go-to for abuse
and hatred while the NEW ladies got over bigger than ever. Taylor was
doing her best to keep the pushes going, especially as they would see
several of the ladies gone due to release or being promoted to the main
roster with new hires replacing them.
Taylor spent the next two long months in training as "Dawn Rae" and
finally gave her a final rest the night of the big Take On event that
preceded Wrestlecade. Being in Orlando again, it was a full house with
all but the twins and Sally being there. The trio wisely stayed home,
they had a lot of work to do before their big graduation. Sally's twins
went with their grandparents, letting their mother enjoy a couple of
days to herself and giving Faye and Percy a chance to spoil them without
Sally stopping them from overdoing it.
The twins were the focus of everyone as they ran around the mansion,
enjoying the nursery that was created just for Bella and them from one
of the unused storage rooms. Vince, Stacy, and Patty got to see just how
rambunctious they could be while Ollie and Chase wisely went in search
of Jerome Black and his friends. Ginny Black was around as well, with
Ginny happily showing off her changing body to the two boys with Jerome
gagging at her teasing them while telling her to never do that again.
She knew how they'd react, she just wanted to see if they would leer at
her or look away in shame. She loved that they looked away, especially
Chase while Ollie told her, "I have a girlfriend and she'd kill me if I
told her a younger girl tried to show off her boobs to me!" Ginny
grinned and kissed his cheek, she got him good and knew all about that
and only did what she did as a test at the request of Stacy.
Ginny was given her reward and smirked at the boys, with both
complaining about being set up by their mother. The 16 and 14-year-old
boys had to have seen that coming, especially as Ginny was prone to
being a little trickster ever since she started to blossom and get boys
to do as she wanted. Her mother and aunts kept her from going too far,
but playing the boys like that was just too good to pass up.
Poor Richard got more attention than he wanted but chose to tell all of
the family that he was saving his proposal for when they weren't forced
to propose and he would do it on his own as he didn't need anyone to
tell him when to do it. Nora just grinned and told him she accepted his
proposal and smirked as his face fell flat at realizing he had walked
into an accidental proposal. He was too shocked to be upset, but she
happily got down on one knee and asked him to marry her and showed a
ring that she had personally purchased with the help of his parents.
Ginny was at a rare loss for words as she couldn't make fun of her
uncle's stupidity while Jerome wisely kept quiet and let his parents do
the joking. His mother Lillian just looked over at her husband Hank and
told him that it must be something in the water at the Black home for
them to be backed into marriage so easily, with Hank wisely not saying
anything while Betty looked over at Taylor and added, "We can't help but
fall for our wives, you yourself did move things along with Jerome."
Lillian blushed while Jerome choked on his drink at his parents being
forced into marriage due to him. It was then followed-up by Betty
adding, "You are as much to blame, you know how wild you can get if you
are given half a chance. It's amazing that you haven't had a third baby
but I'm sure Hank wouldn't let you lose any more time out of your busy
life and he won't change any more diapers."
The whole teasing was directly targeted at the four youngest family
members as Ollie was old enough to be in the midst of sexual maturity
and Chase needed to squelch his hormones at times. Ginny got the gist of
it as well, she may be 13 but she still needed to cool herself whenever
she saw a boy that caught her eye. She looked up at her aunts and saw
that they were the exception to the rule as she knew their story and if
not for the two getting together she'd never exist as her mom and dad
wouldn't have dated.
The family gathering was enjoyed by all and continued on as they went to
the Take On event for a night of fun and action. Taylor would be part of
the battle royal and would be the last eliminated, giving the ladies
something to feast on for their post Take On feuds. She refused to be
allowed to be the winner, it would cheapen the results due to her big
reveal the next night and led to a lot of jockeying by the rest of the
ladies but the winner was chosen by Taylor herself- the unlikeliest
choice yet one who made the most sense as she was already being groomed
to be the next NEW women's champion.
The night was a typical night for NEW as the main event was the biggest
draw so the other matches were going to be average title matches coupled
with a mini-feud that was big enough to draw in people yet not quite
good enough to be the main event. She set-up a title bout for the
women's championship that would have the loser leave NEW, but the twist
was it was actually a promotion to the GCW roster so it held true yet
was a lie that fans would get a big kick out of. The stipulation for the
men's match was even better- the loser left NEW and the GCW for good.
That was arranged as the men's champion was not re-signing with GCW
after a dispute over revenue that he believed they owed him because of
the sales of merchandise. Taylor was shrewd in how she was handling him,
he was actually in the wrong and was under his initial contract that
paid him a minimum amount of $200,000 per year plus appearance fees but
he wanted more. They decided to not renew him and sent him packing with
word to the other promotions just how he did business, all but assuring
that he would have a tough time getting back on TV as it was the kiss of
death in IoH and Full Japan.
Taylor didn't want to make it seem like she was vindictive, but he was
creating problems with the NEW staff due to his outbursts and
complaints, often interrupting the workouts of fellow wrestlers in the
vain attempt to force Taylor and GCW into renegotiating his deal. He had
been a multi-time champion in IoH and held the title for a year before
losing it to the man who was stripped of it setting up Taylor's
eventually winning the title. He hated that he never recovered from that
sleight and seeing Taylor as the champion hurt his ego, especially as
she rose through the ranks while he stayed stagnant for years.
Taylor told him just what they were doing and why, with him screaming at
them screwing him out of his rightfully earned roster spot. Stacy and
Vince were listening via phone and told him to shut his trap as he had
killed his own career by his own actions. IoH would not take him back
after he fought the Paine Brothers backstage over their winning the tag
team titles over him and his partner and none of the major independent
promotions were interested in his ego let alone his high prices he
quoted them back when he was trying to get extra work before he signed
with NEW.
NEW was unaware of his incidents and hired him on reputation alone. When
he started to complain to the producers about the woman bossing them
around he got an earful and showed his true colors to the NEW and
immediately felt the wrath as his character was used sparingly and only
worked house shows until the end of the year before they started to
include him in a title chase that would end with him out of NEW for
good. Thankfully for them, he signed a year-to-year developmental
contract that enabled NEW to drop him without notice and with Vince
involved there was no way around his situation.
The tag team bouts were simple bouts but were hard to choreograph due to
the conflicting styles of the two teams. It was actually one of the
better matches in terms of visual appeal as the smaller team was a group
of aerialists while the larger team had power and could take a pounding
while they wore down the smaller opponents. This meant that they could
spend a lot of time devoted to the match allowing the other matches to
be quick and intense while the tag match kept the crowd into things.
The whole night was a rousing success as Taylor did her best to be
barely involved in the battle royal as she didn't want to alter the
night's success. She ended up giving the crowd a lot to boo as she tried
hard to stay away from the others while hiding outside the ring only to
consistently get dragged back into the ring by the entering ladies. It
became a running gag, one that they had requested as it got each of them
more time in front of the cameras as their entering the ring would be
twice as long as normal and feature their own way of getting Taylor to
be dragged out of hiding and flung inside while she tried desperately to
get out again with the crowd getting into the fun as they realized what
was going on.
The crowd loved the fun and gave each wrestler a round of applause when
they succeeded in getting her back into the ring just in time for Taylor
to jump out again only to face the next person coming into the fray.
Taylor added to the hatred of her as she taunted those who got
eliminated while she remained, "In the hunt" yet outside, getting the
crowd to focus on her and not on one of the lesser women as she kept
them going as they went through cool-off periods. The crowd was roaring
with laughter and she was at her finest during the antics, finding the
ladies having to fight smiles as they worked together to keep the
charade going onward.
The fun lasted for over an hour as the ladies battled one another with
Taylor keeping herself out of the action yet still close to it. She
loved the fun, and when it came down to just her and the last woman she
finally started her attack only to get duped into eliminating herself by
tripping over the ropes as she tried to attack and giving her opponent
the win. It was pandemonium as Taylor put on a show of disbelieving the
outcome, with her crying foul to the referees but getting escorted to
the back by the other women as she tried to attack the winner.
The following night, she was in the rear helping plan the matches before
her big reveal. Her being there was ignored by just about everyone in
the media, with Hank keeping a stoic expression as he sat with the media
in the press box. Taylor's big reveal was already written out and came
with quotes from Stacy, Vince, and Taylor herself so all he had to do
was file the story just after it occurred.
The main event was the biggest bout of the year as Impossible fought to
regain his title from the current champion but it wasn't even the
biggest story of the evening, that would be the women's trios match
between the team of Ara?a, Tanya, and Anya and a heel stabled known as
Absolute Riot. It was meant to be an even match but the stable had five
members and would often get other heels to join their, "Fun" as they ran
roughshod over the other women.
The match went back and forth for 20 minutes before Ara?a hit her
finisher, the top rope moonsault, leading to her team winning but
sparking the heels of GCW to run out to fight them. The trio lost the
assault and were going to be beaten when the newly promoted NEW ladies
came out to join them in the attack. It was a big laugh by them until
they handed off a chair to the masked, "Dawn Rae" only to have her rip
off her mask and show herself to be Taylor leading to her battling the
rest of the women as she protected the seemingly helpless trio while
officials came out to break up the fight.
The crowd went wild as the ladies embraced, with Taylor removing the
bodysuit to reveal her ring attire and show that she was back and ready
for action with them. They challenged the Absolute Riot to a new match
and saw Taylor beating the leader, Ruby Paige, in a one-on-one match
that stole the show. The two groups were squaring off with one another
with Absolute Riot backing away in fear while the crowd erupted into a
huge cheer as the ladies themselves retreated to the back in triumph
allowing the four ladies to stand tall and Taylor to soak in the the
applause.
